Everybody talking about 13 Reasons Why needs to quit acting like this show was made for suicidal people. This show was not made to make suicidal people feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It was made to make every one else recognize the symptoms. To help everyone else understand that bullying is a huge issue. That one act of bullying can snowball into even more and for the kids affected it’s a BIG DEAL. A lot of people think bullying is a non-issue and that’s why this show was made.

It’s supposed to be hard to watch. They wanted it to be uncomfortable and heart wrenching. Because suicide and rape IS uncomfortable and heart-wrenching.

I hope this show helps some teen boy realize he’s a rapist. I hope this show helps some teen girl realize she needs to be nicer to her old friend. I hope it changes some kids mind about spreading a rumor or sharing a picture. I hope it helps parents realize they need to talk to their kids more. Like really talk.

That’s what this show is about. It’s not for suicidal people. It’s for everyone else and you should just get over it. Although I think they should have at least had a disclaimer at the beginning of the show letting you know how triggering it is. But then again. if you know you have suicidal thoughts or are severely depressed or easily triggered than why did you watch a show about a girl commiting suicide anyway. Especially if you’ve read the book and you already knew it wasn’t a feel-good story??

That’s honestly the only reason people are so mad. They expected this show to be made FOR suicidal people but it wasn’t. It was made for everybody. That’s why they made it so real and so gruesome. People who have already been bullied, raped, sexually assaulted, attempted suicide etc. They already know how gruesome it is. They showed that shit to help people who haven’t been through it see it for what it really is. That’s the whole point of the show and they did it wonderfully!

Cyber Bullying is Illegal

Think about that next time you think of sending someone death threats, suicide bate or harassment over fictional characters, who are not real, who have no real feelings, minds or thoughts.

“Bullying does overlap with discriminatory harassment if it is based upon race, color, sex, age, religion or disability. In some cases, federal stalking charges can be brought against offenders. These charges can include acts ofharassment, intentional infliction of emotional pain, negligence and vicarious liability.”

About Robbie and Number Nine...

I know there’s a lot of people out there with headcanons that Nine was a real dick to Robbie who pretty much bullied him but

What if the case between him and Nine was actually the OPPOSITE of that? What if Nine ADORED Robbie, and they actually got along REALLY WELL at first?

What if the problem was that Nine adored Robbie TOO MUCH? So much so, that he couldn’t bear standing a SINGLE WAKING MOMENT without Robbie, …to the point that he would wait for him outside of his billboard every morning, and send him letters before bed each night…and afternoon, …and morning. What if he liked Robbie SO MUCH, that he did everything in his power to get to be by his side? What if he loved him SO MUCH that he followed Robbie around, and to Robbie’s surprise, was sometimes inexplicably already in Robbie’s lair when he came home?

….What if Nine was a little bit too close for comfort?

What if Robbie blocked up the mail chute because he doesn’t want another “Nine experience” where he felt like he had no room to breathe?

…What if as much as he may like Ten deep down, he STILL feels anxious and needs Ten out of town FAST, and is scared to even get a little bit closer to Ten…in case Ten ever ends up the way that nine did?

For How Long?!(Peter Parker/Spider-Man Imagine)

Request: Can you do One where reader and Peter are couple and she didn’t tell her dad Tony that she’s dating him and One day he catch them making out or something (:

REQUESTS ARE OPEN!

I hope you enjoy!

Tony was hesitant at first to allow you, his beloved daughter, to go to public school. You’d spend long nights arguing about how you want a normal life outside the Avengers and Iron Man. And eventually, you broke your father down and he finally allowed you to attend a public high school in Queens, Midtown High School.

There was this boy in your grade that intrigued you. He’d stand up for those who were bullied and took the beatings like a real man that came afterwards. One day you were the one to intervene the fight between Peter and the notorious Flash. That’s how you met Peter Parker officially.

Months later, the two of you were in a slow growing romance. You were both young and you let time handle what would happen. Peter had asked you to meet up at this abandoned warehouse he’d like to skate at. When you arrived, Peter hung upside down from the ceiling with the Spider-Man suit on without the mask. It was then when you two shared your first kiss.

After that, your relationship grew steadily… That is until your father recruited the “Spider-Ling.” The two of you would sneak around behind your father’s back and had secret hiding places you’d hide in around the tower so that you’d have some time to yourselves.

There was a tapping on your window one night and you smiled as you let Peter in. “The tower seems empty.” Peter mumbled as you pulled him closer to you so that you could kiss him. You shrugged.

“Nat visiting Clint.” Peck. “Steve, Sam, and Buck are out jogging.” A longer kiss. “Wanda and Vision are spending time together. And my dad’s at a meeting.”

“It’s just you and me?” Peter questioned, wiggling his eyebrows. You smirked at your boyfriend before nodding. You put your hand on his bicep to pull him closer towards you but he winced.

“Babe, what happened?” You inquired as the blood starting staining his suit. You gasped before instructing F.R.I.D.A.Y. to send a med kit to your room immediately. When the tools finally arrived, you helped Peter out of his suit, leaving him in just his boxers. “This is going to hurt.” You whispered before pouring some rubbing alcohol on his wounds.

He groaned in pain as he began to quickly explain the gunshot that grazed his arm and how he isn’t bulletproof. You put a bandage over the wound and gave it a soft kiss. “It’s not better.” Peter pouted. You went into a frenzy of questions asking him if you should alert the authorities or call for Dr. Cho. “I need a kiss to make it better, (Y/N).”

You gave him an amused look before leaning towards Peter. Your father came home earlier than you had expected. He knew that the tower should be empty besides you. “F.R.I.D.A.Y scan the house.” He instructed the computer.

“There’s two heat signatures upstairs in (Y/N)’s bedroom, sir.” The AI informed him. Tony’s eyes widened. Two?! You must be in trouble if there’s another person in your room. He knew he should’ve taken you with him to that blasted meeting.

Tony called his suit to him and went to your bedroom ready to fight of your attackers. He noticed that your door wasn’t closed all the way and he heard a small giggle that was followed by a chuckle that certainly didn’t belong to you. “FREEZE!” Tony hollered, barging into your room to find a boxer-wearing Peter and a red as tomato you. “Wha-Wait.. No! For How Long?!”

“A few months after I got into school?” Your statement came out more life a question.

“Mr. Stark please don’t be mad!” Peter begged, getting up from your bed. You coughed and Peter’s face turned a bright red before excusing himself to get properly dressed in the spider suit.

“Let’s keep this PG for a moment.” Your dad whispered. “Have you and Peter… You know… In Cap lingo… fondued?” Your jaw dropped and before you could answer he broke into a rant about how safe sex is the most important thing in the world especially at your ages. “You both are barely in high school, alright. Both of you can’t support a child at this age-”

“Dad.” You said, sternly. “It’s never progressed to that level and he was half-naked because I cleaned up a gunshot wound for him.”

“Do you love him?” Your dad asked. Your eyes widened.

You and Peter never spoke about that before. Those exchange of words were never even spoken yet. But you didn’t need to question how you felt about Peter. You never had to. “Dad, I do. I love him, a lot. When you go around doing your avenging, I get really scared. I don’t want to lose you because I love you so much. And that’s the same feeling I have when Peter’s out saving the city. I love him, dad.”

Your dad gave you a soft smile and put a hand on your shoulder. “Be careful with love, sweetheart. It can hurt but it’s worth the ride.” You looked up and saw Peter leaning on your door frame.

“I love you too.” Peter said softly. You got off your bed and ran into his arms.

“Don’t hurt my little girl, underoos.” Your dad warned.

“Yes sir, Mr. Stark.” Peter saluted.

I was thinking about ship dynamics/fandom & anti's/not and whether or not the derisiveness it causes is a tool of bullies to disrupt what is should be discussion of meta, canon, fanon, ship dynamics etc. I know there's the theory of argument (pre/post 9/11) that plays a large part in how discussion/criticism plays out. But with this behavior being so methodical & predictable I wonder if bullies take advantage to hide under "fandom/ship wars" Thought it was interesting & maybe to discuss?

It’s an interesting point, to be sure, and I’m sure you’re right. Only consider Gamergate. Lots of nerdy boys who had been the target of bullying themselves in the real world suddenly piling into the fight because they were given a target they thought was legitimate.

It’s not particularly a discussion I want to have at the present time, though, but I can point you to a few fandom blogs who specialize in this sort of meta and analysis.

Mama.

When I was seven, Melanie Harper from down the road said that my Daddy probably left us because I was so ugly. I never saw Mama so angry as she was that night.

“Where does she live, baby?” she demanded.

Melanie didn’t show up for school the next day, and school was cancelled the day after that. We moved away three days later.

_

Two days after my eighth birthday, a boy named Sam pulled my hair in the playground and then pushed me over, grazing my knee.

Again, Mama asked where he lived. Again, he vanished.

Again, we moved.

_

Later that year, the boy who sat next to me in Math class copied off my test, and got us both disqualified for cheating. I was furious. I’d practiced hours for that test, and I told Mama so when I got home. I told her that it wasn’t fair, that the teacher wouldn’t listen when I said it wasn’t my fault, that the stupid boy refused to admit that it was him and not me. I raged all night, even after Mama left around midnight, and was only beginning to calm down when she got home just before dawn.

No-one saw either of them again. I didn’t mind.

_

When I was ten, my best friend Lizzie called me stupid and said that we were only friends because her mama had told her to be nice to the freak with one parent. This time, when Mama asked where she lived, I refused to tell her. She found her address in the directory instead, and though I pleaded with her not to go, she jumped in the car and left.

I didn’t sleep a wink that night - and when morning came, I knew that Lizzie, too, had vanished.

I was right.

_

The police arrived to take Mama away yesterday. They’d finally found their link; on the night each child was murdered, Mama showed up on the doorstep of their house, with watery eyes and clenched fists. The bereaved parents said that she told them that they needed to keep a closer eye on their little monsters, that they should be grounded “for their own sakes”. When the parents asked her to leave, she grew angry, and told them that they’d regret not teaching their kids better manners.

Well, it didn’t take long after that for them to find the skeletons in her closet - and the ones in the basement, too. Five white skeletons, all lined up, moved faithfully from house to house as we fled across the country. They took Mama away, and gave me to a lovely pair of foster parents. A real daddy, and a new mama who never asked where my bullies lived and never visited them in the middle of the night. It was ideal.

Poor Mama. Not one of those parents ever took her warnings seriously.

And how can she stop me now that she’s behind bars?

That article is so disgusting and disrespectful I'm speechless, do they even know that behind this abstract concept of fandom they seem to have there are real people, who are constantly bullied because they "force a sexuality on poor stight boybanders and want them to come out" and basically every lie that's written in that awful article? This is false and unfair and I'm tired of this treatement. If our believes are basically a lie and an illusion, why don't they leave us the fuck alone?

they didn’t even bother doing any research. that’s what pisses me off the most. we’re all right here. our blogs are public. it’s not hard to get a sense of what we actually think.

and yet.

I’ve been bullied in the past, so this excuses my behaviour...???

NO IT DOES NOT. I don’t care what you have been through be it physical/emotional/sexual abuse or physical/emotional/cyber bullying. YOU should know better than anybody else if this is the case. You should know better than to seek out others who are doing you know harm and saying bad things to them. You should also know better than taking it further and personally attacking them. DON’T FUCKING STEREOTYPE ME AS A TYPICAL WHITE BITCH WHO DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ‘REAL’ BULLYING AND ABUSE. You don’t know my story so get your shit together. You also don’t even know my ethnicity! You don’t know if I am asian, black, white, native american etc.. so stop throwing shade on others when they call you out on your unacceptable behaviour.

I’m done with people in this world who act this way. I don’t care if the bullying you are passing forward is milder than what happened to you. THAT DOESN’T MAKE IT OKAY.

L, out!

Also sorry about my bad language, I don’t like swearing but I’m just so angry and annoyed.

it seems to me that this world packs up “bullying” as a childhood nuisance. that bullies are just kids who need a little guidance. that we’ll all get over it, those of us who still live. bullies that only threaten your life aren’t even “real” bullies, they’re just “annoying.”

and you, living in fear of these abusers, get told: it builds character, it’s not that bad, just log off if it hurts you. of course we think this. abusers are good at making other people ignore what’s going on. abusers grow up and chortle at the idea that bullying is synonymous with abuse: “what can a little teasing do?” they ask, and there is laughter in the coffee room.

kids these days are too weak, i’m told. we have it easy. a little punching never hurt anybody. the people in my high school who recorded students without their permission in the bathroom and posted them on the internet to an audience of six million: only one of them got a two-day in-school suspension. there is a girl who, after having her life threatened one too many times, brought a gun on a bus. she hurt no one. she was arrested and is in jail for the first month of sixty years, for being a victim. for having fear. the people who hurt me never saw punishment. one time i reported it and was told to stop being so quiet, that the bullying would stop if i just stopped “putting up with it”.

but abuse isn’t easy to stand up to. once when i answered with a quick reply, i paid for it. i learned that quiet, hiding, be away is best. no teacher ever even noticed. i still sometimes hear her voice and feel panic rise up my ribs. i haven’t seen her in five years. i haven’t heard from her since.

bullying is abuse. it’s just that nobody wants to admit it.

These people are two faced cowards they wouldn't dare say shit to him in person, I wouldn't worry about him going to cons & he'll definitely go

You’re probably right. Most internet bullies are cowards in real life who only feel safe hiding behind a computer tbh

Hope you haven’t eaten yet, ‘cos the video for Vukovi’s latest single, ‘Weirdo’ does feature some gratuitous coloured puking…

But there’s a much deeper story beneath the surface. The track itself is dedicated to all the ‘weirdoes’ out there who’ve been bullied either at school or online, while the four girls who star in the video have all been real-life victims of bullying themselves.

Of course, as a fellow weirdo and as someone who was bullied throughout high school, Vukovi’s video hits all too close to home. Even now, I feel sick thinking about it and there’s just no amount of money in this world that would ever make me wanna be a teenager again. There’s always a part of you that will never forget the hurt.

But it does get better. Over time, you will forget these people. You will move on to bigger and better things beyond the bubble of high school. You will never see these people again once it all ends, because out in the real world their power means nothing. They are nothing but weak, petty and evil. Statistics show that about 98% of bullies are nothing but a bunch of horrible pricks…

High school doesn’t define you and while there’s a part of you that never forgets the hurt, I find a lot of my memories of high school have faded over time. ‘Cos I just don’t care like I once did. Those people mean nothing to me anymore. They’ve been replaced with brand new memories and with sweet, supportive friends and family. I swear to you, it does get better…

So thank you, Vukovi, it’s a pretty cathartic video with a charming, snarky twist. And to the rest of you, if you’re not coping, please talk to someone you can trust, whether it’s be a parent, a friend, a teacher or a counsellor, it’s always important to tell somebody.

When someone bullies you, attacks you, manipulates you, makes you feel like shit etc. Don’t listen to the people that say, ‘You just need to ignore them’ or ‘you just need to [insert other bullshit advice]’.

This implies that you just need to do something to make the person stop. That by doing what you’re doing now is wrong. That it is somehow your fault.

It’s not your fault.

The burden should not fall on you. You’re not the one who needs to change their behavior.

I was six when I started playing violin, which I guess is quite young, but I really, really loved it at that age. I completely adored the first few teachers, and then I had a teacher when I was thirteen who was a real bully, and he put me off the violin for a while. My yearning for something else and rebelling against the rigid training is what pushed me towards writing songs and jamming with people.

you know, maybe the fact that a lot of ppl dislike the girls who crush on Adrien (Chloe, Lila) and don’t dislike the guys crushing on Marinette/Ladybug (Theo, Nino, Nathanael) doesnt have to do with sexism, but rather with the fact that the girls who crush on Adrien have horrible personalities (and before you jump on me and defend Lila, she’s fake af) and the guys don’t

that being said, please lets have some more great girl characters, i wanna see what Marinette would do if a girl she was friends with also liked Adrien

literally no one feels bad for the clexa fandom anymore

not the cast, not the writers, and definitely not the rest of the fandom

you have bullied, harassed and alienated everyone who could support you and ruined what started as a good cause

you’re a bunch of racist, biphobic, toxic little brats who cyber bully real people

you’ve run cast and crew off of twitter and tell BC fans to kill themselves just for shipping their ship

you have shown your true colors as the hateful white feminists you really are

you deserve the shitty ending your ship got

My D&D group was confused about alignments. I sent them this.

The alignments and you. A guide to understanding how an alignment might change how you understand your character.

Lawful Good: This is a person who embodies the laws already established. Real life example? Cop, Soldier, Judge.

Good: A person who tries to better the lives of others, usually unassuming. Real life example? Good samaritan, Kindly old lady, Ellen.

Chaotic Good: Someone who helps others in spite of the system. Real life example? Freedom Fighters, Protesters, Rights Activists.

Lawful Neutral: Someone who operates within the law without considering moral impact. Real life example? Lawyers, Politicians, Businessmen.

Neutral: Someone who remains uninvolved in most moral conflicts. Real life example? Farmers, Fashionista, That guy who makes your coffee.

Chaotic Neutral: Someone who acts against societies norm without considering moral impact. Real life example? Rioters, Graffiti Artists, Weirdoes.

Lawful Evil: Someone who actively tries to impose their laws on others. Real life example? Dictators, Missionaries, Hitler.

Evil: Someone who actively worsens the lives of others. Real life example? Bullies, Bad Neighbors, Rush Limbaugh.

Chaotic Evil: Someone who harms others for personal gain, or to create chaos. Cereal Killers, Terrorists, Thieves.

I hope this helps~ c:
