who says murders not an art

anonymous asked:

If you're still taking headcanon requests, OTAYURI COFFEESHOP AU? Please murder me with cuteness.

  • Stoic barrista Otabek who who can never bring himself to say a word to Yuri, but does the cutest latte art on Yuri’s drinks just to watch him smile at it.
  • The first time Otabek draws a cat for Yuri, Yuri makes the cutest noise, and immediately whips out his phone to snap a photo of his coffee, and Otabek basically falls a little in love right there and then.
  • No, but like seriously, Otabek spends so much time learning how to make cute latte art for Yuri, it’s low-key embarrassing. Leo totally laughs at him when he goes online to order marshmallow cats for Yuri. He pays a shit ton of money for them, but it’s all worth it when Yuri legitimately goes (๑♡⌓♡๑) at him.
  • Leo tries to talk Otabek into writing his number on Yuri’s takeaway cup one day because it’s getting ridiculous watching Otabek pine, and ofc, Otabek is 300% against it. They bicker a little behind the counter, and Otabek doesn’t even really realise that they’re getting a little loud, until he hisses two octaves too loudly “there’s no rule that says that I have to talk to him just because I like him” at Leo, and all Leo does is to give him a shit-eating grin.
  • Yuri has heard him, because ofc Yuri is behind him.
  • + God Tier Blushing™ from Otabek + Yuri low-key rambling about coming to get extra marshmallows + Leo still grinning and maybe wiggling his eyebrows a little
  • And then, when Otabek absolutely cannot take it (it being 30% Leo being a shit, and 70% being Yuri’s face) anymore, “So are you going to go on a date with me or not?”
How to be a decent kpop fan:

These seemed pretty obvious to me but apparently they aren’t so…

1. Don’t disrespect members of a group you call yourself a fan of. This includes asking for another member during live broadcasts, rejecting them rudely or hating on them.

2. Don’t bring up an idols past mistakes. Yes, idols have been racist, sexist and homophobic but if it happened years ago, leave it in the past. If you can’t be a fan because of this then don’t but don’t force your view on others. As long as an idol hasn’t committed a serious crime e.g murder or rape, they can be forgiven.

3. Respect idols private lives and decisions. What idols do and who they date are their own choices and doesn’t concern fans. You don’t get to decide an idols life or who they date. You do not own your bias.

4. It’s okay to write fanfictions, think sexual things about idols (as long as 18+) and ship members. Saying not to isn’t going to stop people. However, these things should be kept to fans. Don’t send your fics, ship art or sexual comments to idols on social media and don’t ask them questions involving these things. Some idols may not be bothered but some are so it’s best to keep these things away from idols.

5. Don’t start petty fanwars on social media with other kpop group fans or other music fans. Certain fans can reflect badly on the artist and other fans. Don’t be selfish and wreck something for others.

Feel free to add but I think I mentioned the basics.

Princess of Themyscira: Part 4

AN:This chapter came fairly easy, I love how it turned out.

Words: 1813

Part One, Part Two, Part Three

The only thoughts on your mind as you climb the steps up towards your grandmother’s palace are ones of sleep. Your body aches, your spirit is sore, and to be completely honest, you feel a bit hollow inside. All you want is to collapse on your bed and sleep. Of course, life isn’t that easy.

At the top of the stairs, you find your grandmother and your sisters waiting for you. You’re a bit surprised. Usually, by this time, they’ve drunk themselves into a stupor, having told each and every one of your mother’s battle stories. The hangovers typically last for days, and you’re usually the one to hold back your sisters’ hair in the morning.

You say nothing as you take a seat at the top of the stairs, and turn to face the horizon. The sun is just beginning to rise, and no one seems inclined to say anything, so you sit in silence until Io finally asks, “What was she like?”

You turn towards your sister and stare. You’d heard the stories, how Io had been madly in love with your mother, and how she had cried for days when she had been officially banished. After a moment you say, “You knew her longer, shouldn’t you know?”

Artemis’s hand lands roughly on your shoulder, “We knew Diana, Princess of Themyscira. Warrior of the Amazons. We did not know Diana, mother of Y/N, Warrior of Man’s World.”

You bite on your lip, “You don’t want to hear what I have to say.”

    “And why not?” Euboea asks.

“Because it involves Man’s World. It involves my brothers. It involves my father, and however much love you have for my mother, and for me, you have just as much resentment for them.”

“Have we ever shown this resentment? Said bad things?” Hellene asks.

Your answer is swift and unforgiving, “Yes.” You can see the shock on the faces of your friends, of your grandmother, and from the rest of my sisters. “It didn’t take you long to accept me, despite being hesitant at first. But I remember the hushed whispers in those early days, what you all would say when you thought I wasn’t around.”
You swallow thickly, “You hate my father for having taken my mother away, but if you knew my mother as you claim, then you would know that no one could make her do anything. And to understand who my mother became when she left here, you’d first have to understand my family. And that starts with my father. And to be honest, I don’t know if it’s a story you’re going to like.”

There’s several long minutes of silence before Io finally says, “Diana was our sister. We wish to know her. You come from her, if you say we need to start with your sire, then that is where we shall start.”

You take a shaky breath before nodding once, “Well, to start, he wasn’t my sire. He was my father, and whatever your misgivings toward men are, he was a good man. He was born into wealth, to a loving mother and father. My grandmother, his mother, wanted a child desperately and it took several miscarriages before she was able to have my father. But he was her world. And my grandfather, Thomas, was a doctor. He turned away from corporate America to help people. To try and relate to those less fortunate than him.

“They were murdered in front of my father when he was eight. That one moment defined the rest of his life. He was left in the care of the family’s butler, Alfred.” You smile at the name, and pause for a moment as the memory of the older man takes center stage in your memory.

“Alfred was amazing. Managed to raise my dad, and my brothers and even helped raise me. He and mom got along so well. He took care of cleaning and cooking, and everything, and anytime one of us had a problem we would go to him.”

You pause to wipe away a tear, before continuing, “As my father grew up, he became obsessed with vengeance.”

“Of course.” Artemis’s voice is sure, understanding, as she says, “If any of us were in the same position we would do the same.”

You smile, “Except he didn’t.” You receive puzzled looks before saying, “He found the man who murdered his parents, only to find out he’d been hired to do the job. He had a gun in his hand, he could have killed the man but decided against it. Decided that he wouldn’t become the very thing his parents had tried so hard to fight.

“He went on a journey across the world. Trained under hundreds of masters in escape and martial arts. He was gone for nearly eight years, and when he returned, he took on the persona of Batman. He donned a mask and a cape, and worked to protect the city he loved. That’s how he met my brothers.

“Dick, Jason, and Tim all came to him in different ways. Each had their own journey with him, but they all were of the same mentality. To protect. It’s the same way he met Mom. The Justice League was formed out of need, not desire. Some Earth shattering crisis, where Mom first appeared. She thought dad was too broody. She worked so hard to get him out of his shell.

“The thing that did it was her almost dying. She took a hit for him. It would have killed him, but it only wounded her. Unlike most of the League, Dad didn’t have any powers. He was extremely smart, cunning, and a master of fighting. But he wasn’t invulnerable.

“Tim said that he never left her side after that. He refused to even eat until she woke up. And her first words to him were, ‘Your rules be damned, Bruce Wayne. I love you, and no matter how hard you push me away, I’ll fight even harder to get close.’ Jason said he just gave up after that.

“Dick said they became one of the most sappy couples ever after that. Only at home though. When they were in uniform they were all business. At least that’s what they claim. Dick said that a lot changed when he let Mom in. She didn’t let him isolate himself, or deny his feelings. She forced him to admit stuff, to become more open.

“My father, who apparently had a hard time admitting he cared, finally admitted that his number one fear was to lose those important to him; my brothers and my mother.”

You pause again to swipe at the tears running down your face. “I remember coming home from a night out with my brothers to find them dancing in the kitchen. We watched them for an hour. He was singing to her. Mom was the only one who could convince him to sing. He had such a pretty voice. He would have given her the sun and the stars if she had let him.

“My brother Damian came after they had been together for about two years. When my father had been traveling he met a woman named Talia. She was a smart woman. A strict woman. And a hell of a fighter. Unbeknownst to my father, a night together had created Damian.

“Damian resented Mom at first. Said there were months of snipes back and forth but my mother never backed away or coddled him. Any smart alec remark was met with one of equal standing until something happened that nobody would talk about. All I know is that Talia never came around again, and my parents were given full parental rights. I came about two years after that.”

“And?” Calyce asks.

You smile, “We were happy. We were a family. I grew up with four older brothers who meant the world to me. Who I could go to. My father wouldn’t go out on patrol without reading me a story before he left. Damian taught me fighting basics to defend myself. The others tried to coddle me too much, he said. But neither Mom nor Dad wanted me to join the family business.

“They wanted me to have a normal life, and I did. Or at least as normal as it can be in that situation. I grew up with the other league kids. I had chores and dance class. We had family trips and family dinners. Mom would tell me stories about her childhood. Dick taught me how to tumble, and Jason would taught me how to ride a bike. I’d spend hours playing video games with Tim. He made me my first cup of coffee for exams. Alfred nearly blew a gasket. Mom just took pictures.

“On weekends Mom would take me horseback riding, and we would race. My favorites memories are the ones of all of us together. Birthdays, galas, movie weekends. But my favorite is one of my mom and dad dancing.

“There was always something going on in the world. Some crisis, but I remember thinking I had never seen two people so at peace in that moment. I had never seen two people so in love. He used to call her ‘princess.’ And it wasn’t some in some condescending way either, it’s because that’s what she was, and she deserved that respect.”

You take a deep breath, “My dad died about three months before I came here. It sent Mom into a rage. She destroyed that incoming fleet. Despite his own resolve not to kill he never tried to persuade her otherwise. He knew she did what she thought was best, that it was a last resort.

“What she did to that fleet though, it was pure vengeance. They had taken the love of her life away, and she was going to kill them for it. She became a different person after that. She was very withdrawn, and when the invasion got worse, they decided as a family that I needed to be saved.

“Alfred drugged me. Slipped something into the coffee Tim had made. They were all there as my eyes closed. They all told me how much they loved me. When I woke up, my mother was carrying me on the beach here. She’d packed a trunk with things she said were important. Put the key around my neck, and well… you know the rest.”

This time, you let the tears come, you allow yourself to sob as you say, “She wasn’t so different from the woman you tell stories about.”

Artemis’s arms surround you, and she pulls you close, “She was very different, little one. She was a mother, not only to you but to your brothers. She was a wife. She was in love. She was a warrior.”

You swallow thickly, “She was Wonder Woman.”

Had a dream your Hyde and I went to some sort of fair and he got a murder necklace and a smoothie container filled with cheese and then we had to run from a copper and a man pushing a baby carriage who may have been another Hyde but the long and short of it is that was the best dream I've had in weeks thank you

I’m not usually one to draw people’s dreams but this is just so good

I’m so sorry my boy intruded on your dream space but also thank you for showing him a good time!!

and I know that when you say Murder Necklace you probably meant like an evil talisman or cursed amulet or something but I couldn’t get the image of Hyde wearing a big ole ‘MURDER’ chain around his neck out of my head

Real Budoblr Talk, you guys.

I’ve been doing martial arts for close to a year, and I know I have sporadically made posts for just as long. You’ve probably heard me rave about it and crack jokes, like “I do it because I want to be tiny and terrifying,” or “I’m three ounces of whoop-ass!” What can I say? I fell in love with all of it quick and I haven’t looked back… But today, after class, we started talking about circumstances where girls would need to protect themselves and I remembered why I started training. I’m going to jump on a soap box and tell you why I wanted to start martial arts, what I’ve experienced since, and what the deal is.

So, I’m a small girl in marital arts. I wanted to practice some form of self-defense years before I started because I’m a tiny-as-hell woman and I have had too many, too scary close calls where I could have been beat up or worse. Hell, even if I didn’t have experiences of my own that nearly went from “bad” to “WORSE,” the city I love is still an epicenter for human trafficking and the area I live in has been getting dangerous. I won’t even go into how MOST sexual assaults are done by people that know the victim personally because we’d all get bummed out… But yeah. I don’t think the world has gone to shit, but there are a lot of scary things that we all need to be aware of.

The second I could, I joined a dojo that teaches martial arts that are more practical for combat or self-defense. When I started, my instructors and a lot of the other students noted why I would need it. My instructors and training partners will often give me instruction that helps ME with my size. A few of them don’t fool around when they remind me of situations where I’ll really need what I learn. I’m always being told by new guys that I train with they’re glad to see girls train in self-defense. They make me feel like I have the right to be there, and I’m always super grateful that they willingly train with me and teach me. That, and I made some awesome friends since I joined, so that’s cool. <3

I joke a lot about the bruises that I get in class (and I even show them off) because this form of martial arts can be harsh. There’s a lot of pain involved, but I’d never want anyone to go easy on me when we’re training because someone out there that would want to hurt me would laugh at the idea of “going easy.” People can be really depraved, and I wouldn’t want to “go easy” on anyone who thought so little of my well-being that they’d use, abuse, or murder me.

I don’t like to think about the situations where I’d have to use what I’ve been learning. I’m not naïve enough to think that I’m guaranteed to kick *anyone’s* ass who wants to fuck with me. I remind myself all the time that I need to learn so much more because I’ve only just started. I will say that I have looked at all the things considered and I have decided that I need martial arts as much as I want it. I’ll be sticking with it for as long as people will train with me, and I want to train for many, many years. Expect me to bug ALL OF YOU about it for as long as you will know me.

If you’re reading this Budoblr post and ever considered going to self-defense workshops, sign up for a weekly class so you can stay in practice. If you have a female friend/family member/gal-pal that you’d want to protect, tell them to sign up or buy them a membership. I will always bug everyone to pick it up, and I won’t even bug you by telling you that you must go to one specific place to train (but I will 100% recommend my dojo to everyone on my list because they rock. You know, JUST SAYING).

Thanks for reading this far and for putting up with me when I geek out about getting punched in the nose or kneed in the knee. Martial arts makes me feel like I can be big and powerful, and I’ll never go back to being “just a small girl” ever again.

“The only question is: HOW?” part 1

After series 4, I think I am not the only one wondering about that. I am so eager to solve this riddle of a season that I decided to rewatch every episode as often as required to figure things out (TST about 5 and a half times by now, still discovering some things); may be masochistic, but here I am, more sure than ever that we are fooled by Moftiss and that our theories are far from wrong.

(Note: I still have not made an in depth analysis of every episode yet - so, in the following days, I will probably add a lot of things.)

So, I am going to make a list of the things that bugged me the most, beginning with TST:

In depth comparison: “The Six Thatchers” - blog entry and episode

Okay, so let’s take a look at the blog entry first:

(Note: I coloured the characters yellow, relationships red, significant details blue and the a significant repetition purple.)

First, I want to clarify one thing: This case is not just any random case that the show puts no emphasis on and can be dismissed due to the “John Watson is no longer updating his blog”-line; in A Scandal in Belgravia, it is actually shown while John points out that the blog-counter is stuck at 1895 – the year of Oscar Wilde’s trial and the year that John and Sherlock are always stuck in. It is also the year TAB takes place in - Mark put great emphasis on that. Thus, may we assume that TST is similar to TAB - is someone stuck in a Victorian fever dream?

Next aspect: mirroring. I tried very hard figuring out who is who in our love triangle. Sherlock was the easiest one:

  • Sally Barnicot: “barn” is clear. “i cot” is Italian, meaning “the crib”. Who is referred to being like a child over and over again and to a suffering Christ-figure? Sherlock, right. Furthermore, Sally’s first name has the same first letter as Sherlock’s: an “S”.

But then, I struggled a bit. At that time I was very convinced of Alibi Theory, and I still am, but the whole mirroring of this blog entry is totally messed up, because:

  • Beppo Rovito: “vito” is Italian and means “brambleberry”. That is fantastic. Well, if you do not understand here, I am referring to Rebekah’s video “The Blogs and more” (which, unfortunately, is no longer available on YouTube, because xe took most of xer brilliant videos down :/). So, a short summary on this “brambleberry”-thing: Hardly anyone knows about that deleted scene from TRF; originally, Moriarty would talk about how much John means to Sherlock and compare him to a brambleberry, meaning someone who comes in between a couple – in this case Moriarty and Sherlock. Considering the facts that Beppo and Pietro are already a couple and Beppo is not involved with Sally at all, it means: Mary is Beppo.
  • Pietro Venucci: He is the victim that had “a fiery relationship” with Beppo a.k.a. Mary. So, who had a fiery relationship with Mary, indeed? John. He is the only one left in this triangle.

Meaning: We have a fiery love triangle (amo vs. ammunition): Sherlock who is secretly in love with John, John whose heart gets broken by Mary (not just by means of her A.G.R.A.-past), and Mary who is messing things up. Every time Sherlock and John seem to be getting closer, Mary comes in between. Because of all this, the Watsons’ marriage is horrible. Sherlock is the only one knowing the truth about John’s heartbreak and fully innocent regarding it (see TLD’s final scenes; god, I just realised that I wrote this meta not knowing about TLD at all and getting that aseaffageads). Mary pretends not to see it - at least in public. (Don’t know if the fact that there is also homosexuality is worth noting, but I just leave it here if you want to draw your own conclusions on it.)

If you believe in the unreliable narrator theory, I tried to reconstruct the true events of TST with all of this in mind (while I have to admit, I am not sure what the Thatcher-bust is a symbol for, so I just left it in there): Sherlock and John have actually been working together the whole time. It was not Sherlock hiding in the house containing the last Thatcher-bust, it was John. Mary broke in and grabbed the bust. John called Sherlock to join him. Mary smashed the bust, revealing an A.G.R.A.-memory-stick (maybe revealing her true evil colours to John?), and tried to destroy it (or evidence/witnesses, ergo trying to kill John (maybe by shooting at him)?), but Sherlock and John were able to stop her from doing so. Mary confessed about her past and broke John’s heart. - PLOT-GAP - John leaves Sherlock (maybe metaphorically, as in “he is shot and dying”?).

I also thought about this whole event being about Ajay and Mary, not John and her, but, personally, I gave up on it (does not mean you cannot try to make something of it if you want to).

There are two details though, that fit EMP theory: the river and the sound of a window breaking. The river fits the weird water transitions we get all over TST, first when Sherlock is staring at the Wellsboroughs’ Thatcher shrine; if all of this is happening while Sherlock has been reading through John’s blog on the plane, it makes perfect sense that he throws in this tiny detail and exaggerates its extents (”couldn’t resist a touch of the dramatic”, see the lack of information we get about mafia-boss!Ricoletti and the massive amount of information we get about Mindpalace!Ricoletti). The “window breaking” is a good example for that, too: When Ajay and Sherlock fight, they break a window - very Bond-ish.

Let’s take a short look at the comments: theimprobableone (suspected to be Moriarty) is stressing how “disappointingly simple” this case was and Jacob Sowersby (Sherlock’s fan no. 1) says the exact opposite. Who are we to believe? If this is reference to the ARG - well, I leave you to your deductions …

Moving on, let’s look at the obvious, yet modified similarities between this version of The Six Thatchers and the version of the episode:

  • Harker”: In the blog entry, there is a Horace Harker who is the victim’s art lecturer telling John about the busts and saying that they have already been taken. He is alive. In the episode, Orrie Harker is Ajay’s only murdered burgulary victim (throat cut) who owns two of the busts as the only person (all the others have one - on the blog entry, everyone owns just one, too). Orrie’s name appears on screen with this additional information: “Invoice: 5869″, 59 skip-coded, which is reference to Shakespeare’s Sonnet 59. Also note the gender switching that resembles the one from TAB: Peter Ricoletti from TRF and Emilia Ricoletti from TAB. So, in both TAB and TST, we are introduced to two characters whose last names have already appeared on the show. The question is: Who is/are Ricoletti, who is/are Harker? Peter Ricoletti is a mafia-boss who Sherlock put to prison and who we do not get to know much about. Emilia Ricoletti offers way more information: She fakes her suicide in order to come back and shoot her husband, then orders a friend to kill her, is part of a conspiracy for women rights, sacrifices herself for a greater good and scares everyone with her ghost story. Knowing that, I thought of something: We have general similarities occurring to both Harkers and Ricolettis; the creators blur the truth into something else by redefining certain elements as are: a) switching gender, b) putting more emphasis on side characters, c) adding details that already showed up in real life in a different context.
  • the Thatcher-busts: In the blog entry, they are made by Pietro who hates Thatcher due to her homophobic attitude and turned them into a satire by putting devil horns on Thatcher’s head; after Pietro’s death, they are given to six friends and acquaintances of Pietro’s; Harker is getting none. In the episode, they are manufactured in Georgia and sold to five unrelated fans of Thatcher, including Harker. Again, this could be traced back to EMP theory.

To be honest, I wrote more than 50 pages meta in total about TST in the time between TST and TLD, trying to solve this riddle, and I am still far from finished (guess I’ll never will be). Hopefully, one day, things will be resolved, so I can sleep well again.

(I will add things to this meta in the next days.)

  • Hannibal and Will meet up in an Italian art gallery, and despite having full intents to kill each other, can’t get those lovestruck looks off their faces and stop saying stupid romantic things
  • Will does the grocery shopping and it’s the best night of Hannibal’s life
  • Will fantasizes about murdering Hannibal with the most tender intense eyes. Wait, Will fantasizes about his better world. Wait, Will fantasizes about waking up in Hannibal’s office. Wait, Will fantasizes about - you get the idea.
  • Will gets cheeky with Cordell; Hannibal’s eyes says he’s in love with Will, Will’s eyes say he’s well aware

And yessss watch the shit out of Hannibal

Hi, I'm fairly new to the radfem idea. I'm just trying to figure out what it means, its implications and connotations. Why are many libfems against it? How does radfem view trans people? What is an ideal radfem world and how does it include or exclude trans people? Why are many anons on your blog saying "nazi" or "fascist"? Which radfem principles tend to alienate POC, if they do? Why are anons saying if a POC is radfem, then she deserves to be subject to racism? Genuinely curious, thanks!

For future reference, try to stick to 1 or 2 specific questions at a time, instead of 6 all at once. I don’t want to write an extremely long response every time I receive an ask. It takes a lot of time and energy on my end. I understand you can’t just google “what does a rad fem world look like” without getting hundreds of biased answers that skew the truth, but holy shit dude.

Here is a link to 17 free rad fem books in pdf form

And 75 sex industry documentaries

I used to have a lot more resources but this blog is only 2 or 3 months old.
I saw a link to a PDF version of The Second Sex a couple days ago but now I can’t find it again :/ and honestly that things like 800 pages, I’d recommend just buying a physical copy. I bought a used copy from amazon years ago.

I don’t think lib fems..read books? All I remember from my lib fem days was being told what not to read, without any alternative suggestions.
So from my experience, the entire ideology is based on personal text posts from tumblr/twitter and random articles like “the penis is really just a huge clit!” and “10 reasons why periods are disgusting and you shouldn’t talk about them!” so yeah, ive never seen them recommend any books besides harry potter.

Anyways, I’m gonna try to keep this as short and simple as I possibly can because otherwise this response could quite literally become a novel.

Why are many libfems against it?
{its important to note that a lot of radfems started off as lib fems}

If you ask a lib fem what feminism is about, they’ll say “gender equality”. If you ask a rad fem, she’ll say “female liberation”.

The simplest way to put it is, Liberal feminism prioritizes males and radical feminism prioritizes females.
What I mean by that is Lib fems are very pro performing femininity as a feminist action, which men created to keep us looking pretty but silent and submissive aka objectification. They cater to males sexual desires no matter how oppressive, by being pro porn/prostitution, and supporting extremely harmful kinks(race play, age play, bdsm etc.) aka putting men’s orgasms over women’s lives. They prioritize transwomen over female people(female = cis women and transmen) by denying that women’s oppression is based on our biology and instead they believe we are oppressed because we present as feminine. They also believe the age old sexist myth of “the lady brain,” which has actually been disproved. Basically a lib fem understands that women as a class are disadvantaged, but can’t tell you why.

Three more examples would be; in reproductive rights, freezing sperm is now more important than abortion access. Another would be, They’re against “pussy grabs back” because they think it excludes transwomen. They think inclusion of people not affected by “grab her by the pussy” are more important than protesting our presidents comments about sexually assaulting and harassing female born women (the president of the United States not wanting to rape you is the complete opposite of oppression)
And, my least favorite, the cotton ceiling, which stands for lesbians panties. lib fems are constantly trying to find new ways to coerce lesbian females into having sex with pre op transwomen. They don’t care that it supports rape culture, they think it’s more important that a female who is completely disgusted and uncomfortable with a penis should still allow a person to fuck her with one to prove she’s not transphobic.

To be clear, liberal feminism does not accept transmen. They do not believe in male or female socialization so they don’t have a very good grasp on male privilege. They genuinely believe that transmen have male privilege and oppress cis & trans women, they also don’t think transmen need access to planned parenthood or gynecologists for some reason..
They will back up any and all transwomen solely on the basis of being trans no matter how oppressive their behavior. I.e. Cherno Biko who raped a transman and attempted to impregnate them without their knowledge, is hailed as a feminist icon to them (You can google this)
They want to be seen as the most inclusive and open minded, they are not concerned with the actual safety of female people at all I.e. Allowing transwomen into women’s shelters and women’s prisons, despite the fact that they physically and sexually assault female people at the same rate as cis men.

lib fems use their blind support of every transwoman as an excuse to perpetuate misogyny and sexism. I.e. “don’t ever talk about your period because transwomen don’t menstruate, which means periods are disgusting and should be shamed.” “Don’t ever celebrate your vulva because the majority of transwomen are pre op which means your vagina is dirty and smells like fish, you should be ashamed!” “Don’t create any feminist art of female biology because transwomen don’t have a uterus, that’s disgusting now!”
On a more serious note they try to snuff out any attempt of a female person speaking up about being sexually assaulted by a transwoman and have a bigger issue with people using the wrong pronouns when discussing a transwoman who has murdered someone or raped someone or committed an act of pedophelia. And I don’t say any of this to be mean or invalidating, the truth is transwomen are socialized as male(unless of course they were transitioned in early childhood and were raised/treated as female) and it should not be ignored. The world at large raises the two sexes differently.
Liberal feminism does not require critical thinking at all. Every choice a woman makes, no matter how oppressive, is feminist now. They rely heavily on feelings and appearences over reality.

Example: makeup
Lib fems: People treat me better when I’m in a full face of makeup, that makes me feel better about myself until I wash it off at the end of the day. Makeup makes us pretty, no makeup = ugly. I don’t wanna be ugly so makeup is good and feminist. My worth is in my appearance. Dior told me that makeup is feminist, that means I should buy more!

Rad fems: who benefits from my makeup consumption? Who owns the majority of makeup companies? How much time and money do I spend on makeup? Why do I feel bad about myself when I’m barefaced in public? Why do people treat me differently when I have a full face of makeup on? Why am I more likely to get a job if I wear makeup to an interview? Why does society want older women to look younger and darker skinned women to look whiter? Why are women with wider noses being told to contour to give the illusion of a thinner European nose? Who is working to create makeup products? What are the working conditions of those people? Is Dior using feminism as a marketing tool to coerce me into giving them more of my money? Is wearing makeup really my choice or have I been socialized to feel like I need it.
(For the record I do wear makeup)

Lib fems say that wearing makeup is a choice and that they support women who wear it or not, but they very actively attack women for being gender nonconforming(not wearing makeup) They’ll call you ugly, stupid, broke, and unfeminist. They’ll say if you don’t perform or praise femininity, then you don’t support your “sisters” who do.

How does rad fem view trans people?
Ok so i wish this question was a bit more specific.

Do radical feminists hate trans people? No.Do radical feminists advocate for the “genocide” of trans people? No. Do radical feminists believe trans people deserve respect and basic human rights? yes. Its absolutely possible to care about trans people and cis women at the same time.

Rad fems believe in order to be transgender, you have to have sex dysphoria.
Lib fems disagree. Lib fems are very pro gender and pro trans, what I mean by “pro trans” is, when a little girl shows interest in football or cars, they want to automatically call her a transboy and give her puberty blockers, Instead of just accepting her as kid with interests outside of the ~pink girly gender box~ society has tried to trap her in.
That’s why rad fems are gender critical. What is gender but stereotypes based on sex.
Example: Women are quiet, submissive and wear dresses. Men are loud, dominant and wear trousers. Cleaning house is a woman’s job, paying bills is the mans job.

The patriarchy uses gender to disproportionately hurt women, that’s why instead of creating more and more genders, rad fems think it should be abolished all together. Why try to squeeze yourself inside a gendered box when you can be free to express yourself any way you want?

What is an ideal rad fem world, and how does it include or exclude trans people?
I won’t cover every little thing here because again this would be another novel.

The end of male supremacy! The sex industry would be abolished, which would lead to the end of rape culture. Female centered healthcare is free and accessible to all, as well as education, housing, food & water. Males actually receive jail time for their crimes against us, especially sexual based crimes, because females are now believed. What would be even better is if they stopped committing those crimes all together.
Female only spaces as well as transwomen only spaces exist (shelters, bathrooms, prisons etc) an end to European beauty standards, makeup & diet culture, basically capitalism. An end to menstruation stigma, FGM, child brides, dowries, religious oppression of women, as well as religious persecution, acid attracts, women being punished for rejecting men, traditional family values, homophobia, sexism, misogyny, racism, xenophobia, classism, ableism, ageism, and gender. Obviously all the oppressive systems working against female people, radical feminism is intersectional in contrast to popular belief.

Why are many anons on your blog saying Nazi or fascist?
First of all, the way you worded this question is extremely unfair because it seems like I actually did something wrong and was called a Nazi in response, which I wasn’t.

Those anons were a product of a little spat(1, 2) I had with a white transwoman who told me they believed WoC deserved racism as a punishment for being involved in radical feminism, and didnt think that made them racist at all. This was after I defended WoC rad fems against a post calling rad fems white supremacists because a white pride lesbian blog, who said they weren’t affiliated with us, described themselves as “gender critical”.

Only one anon has ever called me a fascist, not “many,” and I honestly don’t even think they know what that word means..

Nazism was mentioned in this anon because they were telling me about a “softcore” Nazi, from reddit, who hates rad fems and is accusing us of being controlled by a more “hardcore” Nazi, which makes no sense because shes obviously an anti feminist and no one in this community has any contact with her.

Which radfem principles tend to alienate POC, if they do?
They don’t. On the other hand, liberal feminism is completely centered on the western world.
Ideologically speaking, radical feminism is not inherently racist. On an individual level, there are rad fems who are racist, just like with any movement or group. anywhere there’s white people, there’s gonna be racists. It’s inconvenient but it’s true.

Why are anons saying if a POC is radfem, then she deserves to be subject to racism?
Because they’re racist lol it’s that simple. A racist will find any excuse to openly support racism.
Rad fems receive a lot of death and rape threats, it’s not surprising that the same people supporting that, are in support of racism being used against the women they don’t agree with.

If any rad fems would like to add anything that would be greatly appreciated because I obviously didnt cover everything for the sake of time.

Finley Hesitas

-Loves Sandwiches

-Allergic to cats

-Left handed

-Wears contact lenses

-Scared of bad hair days

Finley was victim of a criminal gang who murdered people if they stand in their way, and one night they killed several people and they thought they killed Finley too.

-The gang was bothering a group of teens and Finley got inbetween and told the gang members to leave them the fuck alone or he’d call the cops-

They buried the corpses in the forest… and Finley woke up and got panic and tried to get out of this hole, and he was lucky that he wasn’t buried that deep.

A group of students where in the forest who were exploring the forest in teams and they saw Finley coming out, covered in blood and dirt, open wounds and a broken arm.

Instead that the team run away screaming, they just stood there and were fascinated. They thought that he was a Zombie that came back to the living and wanted to keep him.

Later that evening they took him to Rivan and Mu'so (Brothers) and took care of his injuries.

They kept asking Finley what it’s like to be a Zombie, but he didn’t understood anything and tried to explain what happened but the brothers loved Finley and didn’t took what he said seriously.

They always wanted to take care of a Zombie so they got the opportunity, even if Finley isn’t a real Zombie… just a survivor. (Mu'so and Rivan even convinced their parents to keep him ((they are all very superstitious)))

Finley lowkey enjoys the care of them tho and plays the role as a Zombie perfect <no he doesn’t eat brains>.

The one unfortunate thing for me about being a film studies person is that I’m interested in popular cinema that tends towards the fantastical or science fiction and not so much so political or art cinema. This makes watching three and a half hour long feminist films about a single mother who turns out to prostitute herself while clearly depressed and ends up murdering a client before a two minute-long shot where she stares at a table mind-numbingly boring while everyone else says “I really enjoyed that film.”

You’re dating who?!

You had the weirdest life. Growing up everything was pretty normal, until your brother went batshit crazy, technically died, killed your entire family, and left you to die. It was no secret the insanity gene ran through you and your siblings, it was evident from how your brother handled being bullied. So, succumbing to the family trend, you lost your shit as well. To be fair who the hell wouldn’t after listening to their family being brutally murdered by their older brother, then left to fend for themselves. You spent the next two years of your life hating Jeff, and taking that anger out on others. You were what you liked to call an artistic murderer, unlike your brother you weren’t messy and uncaring with your kills. You made them art, you left a masterpiece to be found and appreciated. Finally after two years of abandonment, Jeff sought you out. He says he never truly left you, he just didn’t let you know he was there but you call bullshit. You two spend weeks yelling, insulting, and killing people. That was what is now know as “The Pennsylvania Massacre of 2015”, the blood bath that was a result of your family feud was most gruesome killing spree that Pennsylvania had ever seen. Needless to say, it all ended well. Surprisingly, your angry murders and insanity eventually pulled you two back together. Fast forward three months and you and Jeff were brother and sister again. Jeff had always been protective of you, and that is the one thing he didn’t lose. He convinced you to move into the CP Mansion, to help better protect you from the Feds. You two spent every day together, laughing, killing, and pestering the other CP’s.

The more time you spent at the mansion, the better you got to know Eyeless Jack. In no time at all, the kidney fanatic stole your heart. It was a perfect match, he wasn’t spastic like your brother, he was calm and collected. He was artistic much like yourself, you found yourself being drawn to him more and more every day.

The only problem was that under no circumstances could your brother find out you were dating the eyeless killer. He would surely slaughter everything in sight.

You were sitting on the couch at the mansion, beside you your beloved EJ. You two sat oddly close but kept some distance to avoid suspicion, you watched BEN play his video game at your feet.

“Y/n!” Jeff screams, rage in his voice. You hear him pounding down the stairs and you stand up.

“Well hello my lovely broth-”

“Shut it!” He yells, standing in front of you. Thank god for the couch in between, given his past with family who’s upset him. He takes a deep breath, staring at you with rage.

“Is it true?” He seethes, straining to not yell. Your heart pounds, you give your best fake confusion and reply.

“Is what true?”

“Don’t bullshit me! Is my whore of a sister hooking up with the blind cannibal?!” He yells, stepping closer. EJ still sits on the couch, he mutters a quiet “rude.” You snicker, trying to keep a straight face to avoid angering Jeff even more.

“Jeff, now listen to me. I am not mom-” you try to speak and he interrupts you again.

“You’re right, you’re not her! At least she was faithful!”

“I am faithful! I’ve given myself to Jack, him and only him! You must stop thinking of me as a child! I am free to date whoever I please! Jack is good for me, he grounds me. Would you rather me date some other Pasta?” During your rant, Jeff stares at you with burning hatred. After you finish your speech, he stays quiet. The two of you stare at each other for what seems to be years, before he finally shakes his head, turns, and leaves.

You sign and close your eyes, flopping back down beside your boyfriend. He wraps an arm around you as you lay your head on him.

“It’s going to be okay.” He says quietly and you groan.

“God I hope so.”

The rest of the day comes and goes, and night finally falls. You had recently said said goodnight to EJ, you now were in your room changing. As you slipped your pjs on, you noticed something on your desk. You walked over to see what it was, and found a note. Or rather a dramatic apology. On the paper was a human heart, the words “I” above it and “you” below. You smiled at his best attempt to mend fences.

“I love you too big brother.”

alright so i’ve only had this blog for a little over two months but during that time i’ve read some pretty amazing pieces of writing and I figured I’d share them with you guys. This might get long, they’re in no particular order, and some have more than others, i also expose just how far up jeon’s ass i am but ignore that.

like ok heres my example: in 2011 bro strider was in like, my top 3 favorite homestuck characters. back when the people who thought the strider strifes were not metaphorical stylized video game fantasy-violence, but actual domestic violence, were a very quiet minority. and bro was a very popular character. even though he had no canon dialogue and we knew very little about him, there was a fanon bro who was charismatic and endearing and a good, responsible, loving guardian. that was the character i liked. and now in 2016, i still love that character, but i have no love in my heart for bro strider the homestuck character. its been made 100% explicitly canonically clear how he treated dave and the affect that had on daves developing psyche. i dont feel fond of him, i dont sympathize with him. but scarvenrots baby dave comics can still pull an emotional reaction out of me. i still enjoy a lot of bro fan content from ~2013 and earlier. that character doesnt exist in homestuck, he was a fan character inspired by it.

so im sympathetic to people with that kind of attachment to eridan, or gamzee. if you were in the fandom before murderstuck or before gamrezi (gamzee was “evil” in murderstuck but it was his treatment of terezi that made him Problematic) and you developed an attachment and an emotional investment to a sad teen with an endearingly unlucky love life, or a lovable dopey stoner juggalo, thats fine. i know who those characters are - hussie didnt write them, the fandom did; they exist in tumblr tags and ao3 works rather than in the pages of homestuck; but theyre real characters nonetheless. the characters you like wouldnt act the way eridan or gamzee did, because theyre entirely different characters.

the problem is you have to separate the character you like from the character andrew hussie wrote. you have to acknowledge in homestuck bro abused dave, because he was cold and cruel and wanted to force his ideals on a child. you have to acknowledge in homestuck eridan killed feferi and sollux and kanaya and destroyed the matriorb, because he was a genocidal bigot with a need to possess and control girls. you have to acknowledge in homestuck gamzee freely chose to commit murder and abuse, because the most important thing to him had always been the mirthful messiahs (lord english) and paving the way for his arrival. maybe your favorite character wouldnt do that! but your favorite character doesnt exist in homestuck.

and i dont think theres anything wrong in having a comfort character who is different from their canonical counterpart, even if that comfort character is so severely warped that they are unrecognizable. thats the beauty of transformative work, to repossess art and make it yours. but eridan ampora, written by andrew hussie, doesnt “respect” women, is what im saying.

Anybody reading Evil Empire? Pretty entertaining series so far. Written by this Max Bemis dude (I think he’s the lead singer of the band “Say Anything” (which isn’t my brand of jingles, so I have no idea if they’re any good or not). The man can tell a good story and his dialogue is surprisingly witty. The series is basically about this dude who’s running for president and it gets outed that he murdered his wife. He claims she was abusive to him and his daughter and the citizens of the great U.S. of A. decide he did the “just” thing and elect him anyway. He then proceeds to convince the world that justice should be taken in the hands of the victims and he starts a movement encouraging murder and anarchy that’s dubbed Evil Empire. Truth be told, the dude’s a sadistic piece of cow-dung and there are those who see through his maliciously twisted bullshit. Niice. If ur into small-press comics, check this shizz out. -cc

The legend says Iara was her father’s favorite, and she was a better fisher and hunter then her brothers, and knew the secrets of the forest. Driven by envy, her brothers murdered her, and threw her body at the river. Tupã, the great god, who saw what happened, gave her life as the goddess of the peaceful lakes. Iara sings beautifully, and her voice seduces men into her domains, where the turns their boats down and drowns them. She has a great temper, and is one of the most beautiful tupi goddesses.
