LGBT+ books: Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

“I think everyone’s a bit bored with boy-girl romances anyway,” he said. “I think the world’s had enough of those, to be honest.”

For Monday Motivation, this wonderful moment happened at the BFI & Radio Times TV Festival. A fan asked what were the Doctor’s feelings on cyberbullying and how he fights it. Steven Moffat answered first, apologizing that the fan was dealing with such an awful thing. When he passed the question over to Peter, we were given this amazing and profound speech.

I must sound like a broken record when I keep saying I’ll miss Peter’s Doctor, but I mean it every time. I love him dearly, but I love Peter more for the person that he is. The amount of love and care he has for everyone is so touching. He really is one of the most beautiful human beings on Earth! ♥

I know we’ve always said things like “Harry’s gonna take over the world” or “Harry invented music” or “Harry’s gonna change the music industry,” but when you have huge radio stations playing Harry’s 6 minute single in response to big demand from their audiences and when you hear them credit him for bringing a new, fresh yet timeless sound to radio, I think it’s safe to say he is LITERALLY poised to change the music industry. I really can’t think of many other artists who could get radio behind a 6 minute track so enthusiastically like this. That just doesn’t happen! And the craziest part is, this is only his first single!! It blows my mind what he’s about to do.

“Madame Vastra in Doctor Who could be considered a female equivalent of Sherlock.” - Mark Gatiss, Women of Sherlock at the Radio Times Festival (x)

Will we get the equivalent of her relationship with Jenny…?
