who is she talking to

I haven’t drawn these guys, Chester specifically, in a while. And since I love these two I had to.

The dialogue is from a scene in Elf. I always think of them when it shows up.

And if you’re wondering who they’re talking about, they’re referring to Nadia (she gets brought into the story when Reid comes across her out soaked in awful weather and after bringing her to get cleaned up and warm, discovers she’s homeless, and offers her to stay with him and Chester, which Chester is VERY unhappy about)

he was begging for a fucking second chance with Journals and Purpose album fam what are y'all talking about lmao she was the one who threw it away. all. the. freaking. time.

I’m gonna say it I do not care…THIS IS SO FUCKING TRUE

I knew a girl who was so different, so daring, so ahead of her time that people mocked her until the day they found themselves imitating her. Do you know what she used to say?

She used to say ‘the people who talk behind your back are destined to stay there… Behind your back. Never to catch up’.

Hey! I went through a screening process with my therapist for ADHD and my answers show that I do have it, however she wants to talk to a middle school teacher and my parents, which can't happen as I'm in college and estranged from my parents. Is there anyway to get around this?

Talk to her about your relationship with your parents. She probably wants to talk to people who knew you when you were younger, to make sure you had symptoms then. A family friend or an aunt or uncle might work for that, if you are in touch with any.

tove lo: im a cool girl

me:  Cool girl is hot. Cool girl is game. Cool girl is fun. Cool girl never gets angry at her man. She only smiles in a chagrined, loving manner. And then presents her mouth for fucking. She likes what he likes, so evidently he’s a vinyl hipster who loves fetish Manga. If he likes girls gone wild, she’s a mall babe who talks for football and endures buffalo wings at Hooters. When I met Nick Dunne I knew he wanted “Cool girl”. And for him, I’ll admit: I was willing to try. I wax-strippe my pussy raw. I drank canned beer watching Adam Sandler movies. I ate cold pizza and remained a size two. I blew him, semi-regularly. I lived in the moment. I was fucking game. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy some of it. Nick teased out in me things I didn’t know existed. A lightness, a humor, an ease. But I made him smarter. Sharper. I inspired him to rise to my level. I forged the man of my dreams. We were happy pretending to be other people. We were the happiest couple we knew. And what’s the point of being together if you’re not the happiest? But Nick got lazy. He became someone I did not agree to marry. He actually expected me to love him unconditionally. Then he dragged me, penniless, to the navel of this great country and found himself a newer, younger, bouncier cool girl.

we finally have a girl who does :”^)

You know, I keep hoping that I’m gonna wake up and that you’ll be gone.

You know what my younger, eleven-year-old sister said after hearing Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story?

She said, “The orphanage isn’t what makes me sad. It’s that [Eliza] did all that stuff and then no one even knows her. No one tells her story.”

That stuck with me.

Riko is not only Chika’s girlfriend, but she’s also basically her mom. I find that both weirdly endearing and adorable.
