who does that and doesn't say sorry

Went out with this girl last night, and everything was going amazing till she found out I was bi. She flipped complete shit, saying I'm a liar who just doesn't want to admit I'm a lesbian to keep my options open??? Then left me to foot the bill at the bar. Guess I'll wear a bi flag next time just so that it's clear from the get go

what the fuck why are people complete shits. This is what Bi erasure and the lack of LGBT+ education does. Creates unsafe atmospheres for Bi people in supposed safe spaces. Sorry you went through that. You’re too good for her and skirted a huge future problem anyway

You know what doesn't fit?

Oliver being sorry for a woman who used him and posed threat to his entire team on losing her job and yet…

We never seen Oliver be sorry on screen when Felicity lost her job as
-the IT girl
-his EA
-the VP
-the CEO

That just DOES NOT fit.

I’m not saying it’s a character development issue (because I’m sure he was sorry OFF SCREEN) - yet it seems like that when we’re not shown his reaction to something like this repeatedly on screen and then suddenly shown the same for a random female love interest with no impact on the plot whatsoever.

As I said, DOES NOT FIT.

Hey there! I don't know if someone has pointed this out yet, but why show 0,1 second of Sherlock's past drug habit in TAB and then never talk about it? Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't make sense? Ps: sorry for my English, and I love your blog! <3

Hey Nonny!

Well, I mean… there’s TLD, but you specifically say “past” drug habit, so, yeah, they STILL never go into WHY Sherlock took drugs ever in the first place… even in the episode that apparently talks about “what made Sherlock”, TFP, we’re never told explicitly why Sherlock took drugs… I’m not trying to lessen the severity of why anyone does anything, and literally anything could have been the trigger, but taking TFP at face value, Sherlock apparently had no clue about his best friend-or-maybe-a-dog-or-who-the-fuck-knows, no clue about his murderous 4 or 5-year-old sister, no clue about 12-year-old Mycroft apparently being able to hide all of that from him, and as a result he’s just… did drugs because of nothing? I mean… in TAB’s flashback he had a dog leash as his tourniquet, so I suspect the initial cause of the trauma was probably related to the dog or an event with the dog that he chose to forget and it all spiralled downhill from there. I just… don’t understand myself, Nonny. Bleh, the whole of S4 really… just… made no sense to the narrative.

Though, in HLV, he did state that he took drugs essentially because he was bored, so it could very well be just as simple as that – a mind as complex and fantastical as Sherlock’s certainly would have a hard time stopping or focusing without something to do, so yeah, drugs probably helped with that. I don’t really think it’s anything beyond that. They over-complicated his backstory into something really non-sensical in TFP.

  • it is easier than you would think, to love someone and doubt them
    • (it is harder too, but that is the way of love)
  • here is the trick with doubt: it is a creeping thing
    • she knows; she has known it all her life; she has lived with it and made it her own so that it makes its home within her, a clawing thing around her heart that speaks with her father’s voice, and she has never been able to wholly drown out its whispers
      • she wonders, sometimes, if her brother feels it too
        • (she thinks he must)
        • (she hopes he does, so that she will not be alone)
  • she does not mean it. (she does not mean many things, but they still are; she is no great warrior or mage to shape and change the world)
    • (that is what she does, that is what she is, but vex is not her, vex cannot be her, vex is––)
  • vex, she said once, I’m kinda getting mixed signals here
    • don’t worry about it, darling, vex replied, and gifted a smile and a wink, and while she crowed her joy to the heavens vex left, sought out solitude and certainty and found neither, sat with only the churning circle of her thoughts for company
      • (they are too similar, she thinks, round and round in circles, a mantra, and she presses her hand to her ears but still she thinks it, too similar too similar too similar)
    • vex sees all she is, and all she is not, and one is love and the other is please and the chasm of what is and what could be eats away at her
      • mixed signals is certainly one word for it
  • here is the paradox of doubt: you do not believe, and you are built of faith
    • prove me wrong, she pleads, and she waits, and she hopes. and she swallows her doubt until it chokes her, vines around words unvoiced, because she drowns already in her own hopelessness and vex cannot add to that, will not add to that
      • it is so hard, so damn hard, to be mired in the past and to strain towards the uncertain future
      • (it is harder to watch her do the same and not know how to help)
  • here is the gift of doubt: she succeeds, and it is the cracking stone, the parting clouds, the fading storm
    • doubt, you see, is opportunity: success is all the sweeter for the uncertainty
      • most gifts come with a price; vex knows this. but her heart is not such a terrible price to pay, is it? not when her touch is the sun, burning away the disease, coaxing it forth like a spring bloom
      • (vex has always loved the wilderness of the world. this is not so different)
  • I’m sorry, vex tell her afterwards, when the shame burns hot and low in her stomach and drives her to speak
    • (who would she be, without the tightness in her chest, without the shame and the uncertainty and the––)
    • you don’t need to be sorry, says keyleth, and she coaxes the heat away, and vex does not deserve this, cannot deserve this, will never deserve this
      • (keyleth has always been a wild thing. nature does not care about who deserves what)
    • she kisses like the sun too, bright and blinding, and she burns away the doubt until vex is filled through with sunlight
  • it is harder than you would think, to doubt someone and love them
    • (it is easier too, but that is the way of love)

What if something you wanted doesn't work out? Whether it's a standardized test, a class, a career. Do you just keep moving on and settle for second best? Or does your second best eventually become your first? Do you come to terms with your failure? Or do you reminisce about them as you grow older? There are people who begin to succeed as they grow older, but I can't help but wonder, what if I already passed that time and it only heads downhill from now? I'm sorry about all of the questions...

Hello Sweetie, you don’t need to say sorry. Honestly, I can answer that question based from my own experience. It’s funny and amazing how you guys asked me the right questions. 😂 Well anyway, I’ve failed in a lot of my exams when I was studying. Seriously it was many times that I became used to it. Like I just laugh whenever I received the results of my exams. But I wasn’t the-only-one who failed anyway. ✌🏻 There were lots of us—in my class-who experienced that. And that’s not the point, what I am trying to say is that no matter how hard I tried to turn back time and change everything, I can’t. No matter how many times I think of all the answer and wishing I could retake the same test. So I could have a perfect score, I can’t. In the end, it’s all about your choices sweetie. I’m sorry, but I don’t believe that there’s a heart in this world that doesn’t dream of something. That doesn’t love anything. You just have to make the best choice. Because you know yourself better than anybody else. They don’t know what is going on in your mind. They don’t know what is inside your heart. They don’t know what choices you really have. It’s still ends up with you, sweetie. It’s your choice if you’re going to hate yourself for all of your mistakes, or you’ll make it as your steppingstones for a better future. Do the last sentence rings a bell? It’s so cliche, isn’t it? But it was true. If you’ll have the courage that will make you believe in whatever you can do. I hope you are doing fine now, Sweetie. I also hope the best for you. 😊💓

• jily get paired up to raise one of those lil fake babies (and of course there are more boys to girls in the class and remus and sirius get paired up (and their baby probably ends up dead or dying by the time eight weeks are over))

• james and lily who aren’t really friends but are far from enemies. they kind of just exist, with small acknowledgements of each other but nothing much

• james hangs out with the rest of the marauders and lily sticks to mary and marlene and frank and alice although the latter two seem to be gone most of the time

• so they’re in health class one day and the teacher assigns them as partners and james is pretty happy (i mean I would be too if i were working with lily evans for an entire eight weeks)

• turns out that there are uneven numbers in the class and remus and sirius end up being paired up (their baby dies within a week because sirius leaves it on top of the urinal and forgets it)

• they decide that lily has it during the day and james has it at night, and they swap every week

• james and lily spend a lot of time together because of the baby (there’s a lot of midnight phone calls, mostly because they’re both v spiteful and in a ‘if I’m not getting a good night’s sleep, I will make sure that you’re not either even if we only live two doors down from each other’ kind of mindset)

• so there’s lots of afternoons in the dog park where they do their homework with the baby (which james christened ‘elvendork’ after james realised that the baby had no genitals.

• “you can’t just say that the baby is a girl or a boy, so to be safe lets name it elevndork because its a highly commendable name and also–unisex

• (the only thing the baby really had were unnervingly green eyes))

• “kind of like you, evans”

• they they go the the dog park with elvendork straight after school a lot and they’re in uniform and they get more than one dirty look from a member of the public who doesn’t realise that the baby isn’t real

• they’re kind of relaxed about it, james goes to lily’s house and they kind of just toss the baby at each other while eating and chatting

• james insists that he show lily that he is very capable of doing push ups with elvendork on his back. shirtless, of course

• lily just rolls her eyes

• they don’t go to james’s house (despite mrs potter doting on james, lily, and elvendork) because sirius lives with james and like hell they’re going to let sirius in a house with two of these things, like ffs who let him have one in the first place

• remus doesn’t really care for his baby either. he’s kind of ‘eh’ about the whole situation and he ends up rigging it so that it screams whenever elvendork comes within two metres of it (james is not impressed)

• (there’s probably one point in which james and lily almost kiss but elvendork starts crying and ruins the mood) (they don’t talk about this certain moment again)

• eventually eight weeks is up and they hand in their baby and get a surprisingly good mark

• remus and sirius hand theirs in but remus has fiddled with it again so all it does is swear in german

• james realises that he likes lily and catches up with her before the day ends

• “hey evans, even though elvendork is gone I thought that you might want to go to the dog park after school to do some homework?”

• and naturally, lily says yes

I don't mean to be rude or be a pessimist but honestly, there is no way that the MAJORITY of people in the world are going to go go vegan. At least not until next century (if the world even exists then.) Therefore, what is the point of me being vegan. I know you think that one person can make a difference by influencing and inspiring others but unless the majority of the world does something there will be no change. Sorry but one vegan doesn't equal happy planet. Its never going to happen.

Usually I would ignore this kind of thing but I really actually do want to help you (and anyone else who thinks this way) understand how it works because this is really important.

I apologise if I sound or get rude/agitated explaining this, it’s just that I am very passionate about this and find defeatist attitudes quite frustrating.

Alright, first things first, (damn it, Iggy truly has ruined that for me forever) we/you cannot say for sure what will happen in terms of agriculture, animal factory farms, ethical views or environmental and equality laws in the future. We have no way of knowing that. I would agree that it is unlikely, at least in my time, that the entire world will transition to full veganism, for we are sadly either ignorant and unaware, or have been made aware but choose not to change, but I do think more and more will realise how important it is and make the switch. Even if only 90%, or 50%, or 10% of the world come to this realisation and change their ways - this is still far better than none. A small change is still significant, and so much better than no change at all.

What if I said I believed in environmentalism, but felt my actions would be too insignificant or unrewarded so decided to just leave my water running all the time? Or if I thought “well yeah, bigotry, sexism and racism suck, but that’s just the way things have always been, so I’m going to perpetuate and contribute to them because there’s no point trying to make a difference.” Just because social change seems difficult, a long way off perfecting, or even an isolated battle, does not mean you should abandon your beliefs and contribute to the problem.

The main issue with this pattern of thought is that EVERYBODY (or many people) seems to cling to it. They reason “I want the world to be different but I’m just one small person, what impact could I have on my own?” But imagine if everybody who had that thought, stood up or what they believed in. We’d all be standing together. I’m not pointing fingers here, I used to feel the same way - powerless. It wasn’t until doing more research for myself, strengthening my beliefs and understanding how important it is for our whole planet to make a shift to living this way that things really clicked.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you doare in harmony.

– Mohandas Gandhi

Since I became more educated on matters of animal cruelty, animal products affecting health, the environment and global poverty, I did lots and lots of reading, viewing and seeking out information, and I set about to change my ways. That may be a very small act in the grand scheme of things, but alone I’m already diminishing the greenhouse gas emissions, amount of animals murdered, and most of all greatly reducing my chances of developing diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity and heart disease.

Moreover, since making that change and becoming more outspoken about what I learned, I’ve had over 100 people collectively contact me on here, via Instagram or Facebook to tell me that I influenced them to go plant-based too. So if you think one person can’t make a difference - that’s incorrect. Take this perspective:

“What if you worked at educating others about animal cruelty, pacifism, drugs or whatever your concern is, and each year just one other person accepted your philosophy? What if that person did likewise? And so on. After six years 32 would have adopted your philosophy. Another six years and the number would have passed 2000, or if we halve that to allow for those who lose commitment or die, 1000, all coming from what you started a decade or so earlier. That’s quite a difference!”

Now, for why all of this is so important.

The U.N. urged the world to move towards plant based living over 4 years ago, claiming that “a global shift towards a vegan diet is vital to saving the world from hunger, fuel poverty and the worst impacts of climate change.” The report also points out that as the world’s population approaches over 9 billion people by 2050, it will not be possible to sustain the per capita consumption of meat and dairy products that we are currently eating. We literally cannot go on living this way.

“Impacts from agriculture are expected to increase substantially due to population growth increasing consumption of animal products. Unlike fossil fuels, it is difficult to look for alternatives: people have to eat. A substantial reduction of impacts would only be possible with a substantial worldwide diet change, away from animal products.”

Professor Edgar Hertwich, the lead author of the report, said: “Animal products cause more damage than producing construction minerals such as sand or cement, plastics or metals. Biomass and crops for animals are as damaging as burning fossil fuels.” [x]

To quote this article, the U.N. is not alone in its analysis. A staggering 51 percent or more of global greenhouse-gas emissions are caused by animal agriculture, according to a report published by the Worldwatch Institute. Researchers at the University of Chicago concluded that switching from a standard American diet to a vegan diet is more effective in the fight against climate change than switching from a standard American car to a hybrid. And a German study conducted in 2008 concluded that a meat-eater’s diet is responsible for more than seven times as much greenhouse-gas emissions as a vegan’s diet is. The verdict is in: If you care about the environment, one of the single most effective things that you can do to save it is to adopt a vegan diet.

All it takes is one person.

One spark to ignite the flame.

Sixty years ago, maybe it seemed like not enough people believed in equality for POC for them to ever get the vote or be treated as humans. Then, in ‘55 and ‘63, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. each stood up and fought for what they knew was right. At the time, they would have felt small, part of a minority, and fearful that no change would come, but they spoke up anyway, and inspired others in the process. The same goes for Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Jane Goodall and Malala Yousafzai. Even Adolf Hitler. Though his motives and actions were horrendous, he was one person and he made a huge difference in the face of history, simply by following what he believed to be right and true. If you are strong in your views, have the passion and knowledge to educate others, huge changes can be made. (I think it’s clear that I am not defending or glorifying Hitler, the Nazi party or anything to do with WW2, but simply acknowledging the power one person has to change the world).

“Dietary changes could therefore not only create substantial benefits for human health and global land use, but can also play an important role in future climate change mitigation policies.” [x]

I’m not sure if you’re aware of the process of supply and demand, but it’s a pretty key one in this argument. Animal agribusiness does not exist on its own, it exists because consumers continue to pay for it. In purchasing meat/eggs/dairy/fur etc, you are directly supporting that industry not only morally, but financially. We vote with our dollar, so it either goes in favour of a product or against. Every time you buy a dead animal - be it to eat or to wear - you are letting the world know that you accept and actively support the practice. You are directly paying someone to kill that cow/baby chick/piglet/lamb/etc and helping them continue to do so. I know this may sound like confronting stuff, because we have developed a strong cognitive dissonance to protect our consciences, but it’s important we know and take a stand for what we believe.

The demand (i.e. how many people want to purchase the product) directly influences the supply (i.e. how much of that product is made). On a smaller scale - look at your home life. Were you to stop eating animal products, your family would subsequently buy less. If you went to your auntie’s house, she might prepare one less meat dish. Similarly, visiting vegetarian and vegan eateries financially supports their organisations and allows them to further their ethical business. On a larger scale, look at your weekly shopping. Say your local grocer orders a certain amount of eggs each week. If you and a few other people decide you no longer want to support/purchase them, their demand decreases. There will come a point where the buying and re-selling of those eggs is no longer profitable as they are left with a surplus of unsold eggs, so they will order less in the future. There is then less demand to produce a certain amount (even if only on a small scale), and it works all the way back up to the factory farms and slaughterhouses.

I like this perspective too. “Suppose a particular vegan in no way affects supply, sets an example, or educates others. They are still doing the right thing. Imagine a scenario involving humans: Several thousand people across the world regularly pay to see live internet video of women being raped and tortured. Dave receives an email inviting him to view these events, but he chooses not to participate. You probably agree with me that Dave’s decision is morally obligatory — even though the women will still be exploited and none of the viewers will notice his absence”.

Care about our environment?

  • On average it takes 11 times more fossil fuel to make one calorie of animal protein as it does to make one calorie of plant protein. (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 78, No. 3, Pimentel & Pimentel, Sept. 2003)
  • In the U.S., livestock production is responsible for 55% of all soil erosion on cropped land and pastureland, 40% of which ends up in water resources.  (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, “Livestock’s Long Shadow”, 2006, p. 73, Box 2.5)
  • It takes 5 times more water to yield 1000 kcal of meat as it does to yield 1000 kcal of fruits, vegetables or grains. (Malin Falkenmark & Johan Rockstrom, “Balancing Water for Humans and Nature”, 2004, p. 50)
  • You could save more water by not eating one pound of California beef than you would save by not showering for an entire year. (Based on 1 shower/day, 7 minutes/shower, using 2 gallons water/minute). (John Robbins, The Food Revolution, 2001, p. 237)

Despite currently having the resources to feed every mouth on our planet, billions of people are living in and dying of poverty each day. Rather than using plants from the Earth as our nourishment, we instead waste it by forcing it into the throats of animals to fatten them up, so that we can then kill them and eat them (along with all the other animals, flies, poop, hormones and junk inside their bodies)… rather than just eat the grains and vegetables ourselves. We are choosing to feed the animals rather than ourselves, and its making for a great imbalance worldwide.

“It takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of edible animal flesh. Making meat consumption a very inefficient use of grain and wasteful of our land. Continued growth in meat output is dependent on feeding grain to animals, creating competition for grain between affluent meat-eaters and the world’s poor.” - Worldwatch Institute

What about your health? We all hear those common phrases thrown around - “you need meat for protein” or “dairy for calcium”, but have you ever looked into the truth for yourself? Recent studies have shown meat and cheese may be as bad for you as smoking. Reducing or eliminating animal flesh and by products from your diet can also reduce or eliminate high mortality rate illnesses like diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, some forms of cancer, and heart disease, as a plant based diet contains little to almost non existent bad cholesterol or unhealthy fats. We humans are the only animals that continue to drink milk after weening (kinda creepy if you think about it) and the only ones to drink the milk of another species (almost creepier, picture yourself standing under a big mama cow’s udder to get the milk for your cereal). Because that stuff is created in pregnancy for the sole purpose of feeding her baby calf, it isn’t designed for our consumption. As the cows are pumped full of hormones and chemicals, their milk is too. Despite what our parents and TV commercials have told us over the years, dairy actually depletes our bones of calcium and can result in osteoporosis. Here and here you can read my posts about why dairy is so harmful for us to consume, so if you think going plant-based wont make any difference - consider your own health!

Even if I hadn’t been able to provide any of this information and supporting evidence, would it matter? Surely if you believed animal cruelty or the killing of others was immoral, that should be enough grounds for you to not support it? By paying to have others killed, exploited, raped/artificially inseminated repeatedly without consent and so on, you are directly fuelling this industry - so you better agree with what they’re doing. Things like grinding baby chicks alive in a big blender, suffocating piglets,

There is never a bad time to start doing the right thing. Of course, the best time is now. The days you haven’t been vegan are gone, and you can’t have them back. Forget them. They belong to the past. Make today, tomorrow, and every day after the priority. They are yours”. [x]

Each of your consumer choices is a vote for the kind of world you want to see. Each of your choices in the past helped build the world of today, and each of your choices from this moment forward will help build the world of tomorrow.

The question is not “can you make a difference?” You already do, it’s just a matter of what kind.

@bastille-stormers-98 That’s what I was thinking of doing but it’s just really frustrating because I’m always having to go up to her and ask her why she’s upset and always tell her if I ever do anything be straight up with me and ofc I’ll say sorry if it’s reasonable.

But I’d rather her not hide in the shadows like she usually does with others who have upset her and give me a silent treatment.

You cannot tell me that Mal isn’t that girl that takes eight million selfies with her friends, you just can’t. Or that the number doesn’t go up infinitely with Chara, because twinsies. You just can’t. Because that’s definitely exactly what happens I’m sorry I don’t make the rules.

God doesn't hate Gays

Hello Guys, Gals, and Non-binary pals! This is a little explanation and analysis of what the bible really says about the LGBT community. If you are non-Christian please still consider reblogging this to help out some Christians who may be struggling with whether or not God still loves them.  I’ll try, and likely fail, to keep this short. I am fully prepared for your anon hate, but please think before you send.

I’ll start with sexual attraction. Firstly, yes the bible does definitively state that it is opposed to homosexual relations (Sorry Hope Remains .com but it does). BUT you have to look at the context. All of these references appear amid other laws, some of which include the famous example of mixed clothing, that are not followed today. Why? Because these laws were given for the Christians of the time period to help them adjust from the religious thinking of the time. The Pharisees imposed a lot of rules, the Jews of the time followed a lot of rules. The simple message of faith was so alien to them that rules were added just so it seemed credible!

Many of these references also come before Christ. We, as Christians, were given rules before Christ to show us that there was no way to earn ourselves into heaven. These rules are no longer followed because we no longer have to earn heaven.

Secondly, Gender. Many people use a particular verse, Galatians 3:28 “…There is now no male nor Female,” but they misquote it. Please do not use this verse. The full verse is “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” This verse is not negating gender, it is saying that all above parties, including men and women, are equal. Feminists, please use this when talking to Christians. LGBT, don’t. Instead, maybe point out that while God did create two distinct sexes, those with a Y chromosome and those without, he never created genders. Those are a human construct. ANGELS ARE CANON NON BINARY! Heck, God doesn’t have a specific gender either!

Third, Jesus would have totally loved us all. He did not slut shame, fat shame, he was proud when women took a stand, he sat with tax collectors. He loves you. A lot.

Tl;dr: Canon Jesus better than Fanon Jesus, Context check your verses, God doesn’t hate Gays, God didn’t create gender.

Love you all, feel free to come to my inbox for any specific verses J

Behind the Scenes of Evolution of the Daleks / Daleks In Manhattan (Part Three)

Excerpt from the DVD Commentary by David Tennant, Nick Briggs (voice of the Daleks), and Barney Curnow (Visual Effects On Set Supervisor)

David Tennant: This big main hall was a huge, big room, and it was absolutely freezing. The rest of the factory wasn’t so bad, but this bit… ooohhh…

Nick Briggs: The trouble is, see, you can all run around and do things, whereas I’m sitting most of the time.

David: Yes, but you can wrap yourself up in a big parka, and…

Nick:  It’s the lack of… the total inaction just makes you…

David: I seem to remember you huddling quite close to the big red Rad radiator

Nick: I thought you were going to say, ‘huddling quite close to the Confidential girls’

<everyone laughs>

Nick: …which is also true.  So what I did to keep myself warm was drink lots of tea.

David: Yeah

Nick: And of course then you just want to go for a wee all the time

David: And when you’re wearing that many layers that can take a while

Nick: And also it’s slightly humiliating for a man of my years to have to keep asking the third assistant to go to the loo, and this 23 year old says, “You went just now!”

<all laugh>

Nick: “I’ve got to go again. I’m really sorry!”

<more laughing>

Hello would you please write a scenario with Oikawa and a very short (maybe like 5ft) female s/o who is also very shy around him? In which Oikawa really likes her and he tries very hard to get her attention but she's just too shy to talk to him (and scared of his fangirls lol) and very insecure around him since he's one of the most popular guys in school and she doesn't understand why he would like her. Could this please be very fluffy and have some cute height difference moments as well? XD

OH MY GOD THIS IS TOO CUTE !!!! I’m also smol (I’m 5′3 T^T) and a huge fan of height differences! i’m also a huge iwaoi trash, sorry

- Natsu (temp admin helper person) who has the hots for this trash king

“(f/n)-chan, wait!” Oikawa says, as he reaches out for your arm. When he does, he pulls you back towards him and lifts you up to place you on his shoulder.

“Oikawa-san, please put me down!” you pleaded.

It’s as if Oikawa turned deaf or just pressed a mute button somewhere, ignoring your pleads to let you off, the series of many “Where are we going?” on repeat, and you telling him that his fangirls are staring daggers at you two as he walked through the halls, with you on his shoulder.

He finally placed you back down, thanking the heavens that you’re able to feel the level ground again through your shoes. You also found the two of you in the deserted place called the back of the volleyball club’s gym.

“What else should I do for you to like me?” Oikawa asks you, with those milk chocolate puppy eyes that makes you want to hug the living daylights out of him but you can’t because there might be someone watching.

You truly feel bad for evading his many attempts of wooing you. You like him too, because what else are the butterflies in your stomach for when they only come if he’s around? If only you can admit your feelings in some way…

“I took you out on a date, gave you chocolates and flowers, introduced you to my team, we eat lunch together… Is there something I’m not doing?”

Sure enough, he’s put all that effort just to get closer to you, it must have looked like you’re only forced to because he asked you by how your responses are sooo few in contrast to his constant babbling how he apparently feels shy around you, but he is the Oikawa Tooru the school’s idol and basically all the girls are gunning for him!

“N-No…” you began, “T-That’s n-not it…”

“Then what?” Oikawa asked, almost sounding desperate.

“Y-Your fans, Oikawa-san…”

“What about my fans? Did they do something to you?”

“N-Not really… but what if they find out that y-you l-like me?” you stammered, your eyes are still darting around even though you already have your head drooped down.

“You don’t have to think about them,” he attempted to reassure you. “The one I like is you!”

You turned tomato red within a millisecond. “B-But Oikawa-san, t-there’s a lot of girls who l-like you!”

Oikawa suddenly pulled you towards him and hugged you; your face met with his toned chest because of your small height, and you couldn’t help but inhale the setter’s manly scent, while his warm arms calmed you down and erased all your worries.

“Please listen to me carefully,” Oikawa says, placing his head on top of yours. “I like you, the one and only you, because you’re kind, you’re beautiful, and you’re very patient even towards someone like me! I want to know how you feel. Do you feel anything for me?”

He placed his hands on your shoulders and held you at a distance from him so he can see your cute face.

You felt your face a few degrees warmer than the rest of your body. “I-I…”

“Yes?” Oikawa says, encouraging you to go on.

You shut your eyes really tight. This is it! This is the chance you’re waiting for, and he’s listening to you really carefully! ‘Come on, you can do this!’ you cheered yourself. “I-I-I-I like y-you too, O-Oikawa-san!” you blurted out.

Oikawa sighed in relief. He bent over to lean towards you, but seeing as the height difference is pretty big, he says, chuckling, “I-I’m sorry but can you reach up to me?”

So embarrassing! You covered your obviously cherry red face. “I-I’m sorry, I’m so short, Oikawa-san!” you said, while on your tiptoes.

Letting out his last chuckle, Oikawa slowly removes your hands out of your face, places his hands on top of them, and slowly inches closer to your face until his kissable lips met with your quivering pair.

As soon as he pulls away, he wraps you in an embrace, squeezing you into his hug and you felt your feet lift off the ground. “I’ve finally got a cute girlfriend!” he cheered, his sparkly white teeth showing because of the big smile on his face.

for the 5+ headcanons meme: AU were Thorin lives but doesn't stay as King of Erebor. What does he do? Where does he go?... Thank you! :)

  • it’s dwalin who is there when he wakes, of course– right by his side. fili, he says, kili
  • (& there’s a lot of nervous shuffling & a lot of i’m so sorries and i did everything i could & it’s not enough.)
  • thorin weeps, in the night. he asks about bilbo but bilbo is gone, months gone, leagues gone. there’s a vague ache in his chest and it might be heartbreak that bilbo left him, but he blames it on grief and shuffles on.
  • i mean it shouldn’t hurt but it does. i mean blood + sweat + tears + those nights spent close together & still: heartbreak. i mean they weren’t anything but it still hurts.
  • (i mean did he know. did he know. did he know what it meant. did he.)
  • thorin rules for three years when he realises he can’t do it anymore. he gives the crown to dáin and promises to return one day, not soon.
  • he comes to the shire in early fall, & there bilbo is, out smoking a pipe. he looks at him almost glaring. right, bilbo says. right.
  • you’re welcome to stay, bilbo says, and even more welcome to leave.
  • bilbo spends late nights reading chronicles about elves and dwarves and writing that book of his about his adventures. one night they get drunk on wine & thorin tries to kiss him but bilbo puts his hand on his chest and pushes him away, gently, & thorin wishes he was more drunk to deal with this. the small things. the small knives you find in your pillows in the morning that you soon realise you can’t sleep without. this. whatever it is between a person you love, a person who maybe once loved you but might not, anymore.
  • i owe you a thousand apologies, thorin says. is there any way i can make it up to you. he is told he can help with the garden but he is also told he can leave.
  • i’m leaving again, bilbo announces one morning. where will you go? thorin asks.
  • south. north. away, bilbo says, and for a moment he looks at thorin quietly, then says. will you come?
  • of course. it was never a question. of course.

The entire act is awkward, almost painful to watch.

Her eyes are clamped too tightly, fingers looking as though someone had forced them into place.

And her smile.

It is far too rigid for her liking.

“Disgusting,” Maki says, unable to bear the sight any longer. Red eyes snap to her immediately, and an indignant little voice pierces the heavy air around them.

What did you just say?” Nico grinds out. She lowers her hands in a quiet sort of fury, fingers still locked into position.

“I said,” Maki begins, gesturing widely to the smaller girl beside her. “All of this—is disgusting.” She takes great care to emphasize her last word, knowing Nico had heard her crystal clear the first time around, had most likely been expecting such a reaction. Maki wonders why she even tries.

I thought it was rather charming,” a voice calls out from behind them.

The two girls quickly spin around, spotting a lone figure at the top of the shrine steps. Their white uniform is illuminated by the afternoon sun in ways that shouldn’t be possible, and Maki has to shield her eyes. True to her name, Kira Tsubasa absolutely sparkles, like a knight in shining armor.

Maki can’t help but avert her gaze, fiddling with the hem of her black, black t-shirt.

“Tsu—Ki-Kira-san!” Nico stutters, dropping her hands completely. Maki shoots her an incredulous look, worried Nico may suddenly prostrate herself before the figure descending the steps.

“Please, just Tsubasa is fine,” she says politely, inclining her head in greeting. “You’ve already defeated us once. I’m impressed with how hard you seem to be working—even after having been crowned champions.”

Maki hates the way such honeyed words bring Nico to life. It is painful to watch.

Her eyes shine too brightly, barely-contained joy evident in shaking fingers.

And her smile.

It is far too soft, far too genuine.

“Disgusting,” she mutters, all too bitter that this time, Nico does not so much as spare her a glance.
