QUIT TALKING ABOUT RACIAL OPPRESSION IF YOU HAVEN'T LIVED IT OR READ ABOUT IT
Why is it that people who ignorantly discuss race and race theory believe they can do so without studying it? They leave discussion of astronomy to the astronomers, but think they hold the correct amount of knowledge about racism to speak on it without reading about it.
It’s as if to say the topic of racism is so simple, that they empathize enough with racist happenings and oppressive tendencies, so much that they can speak on it without first studying it.
That’s sick. Especially when being racially oppressed is something that only minorities can honestly empathize with.
That is a fact. A fact. By critical race theory, a subject for which scholars and primary resources have compiled tomes and essays and professional discussions, that is a fact. The people who disagree with that fact do so because they are ignorant. They think it is an opinion because they have not studied.
And that pisses me off.
We are willing to leave discussion of abstract and possibly incorrect ideas of the creation of the universe to the scholars, but when it comes to critical race theory—for which we have tangible and observable and primary and factual resources—the people most ignorant to the study believe their opinions hold as much value as the facts.
