Opinion | What if Western media covered Charlottesville the same way it covers other nations
The world would shake its head at America.

If we talked about what happened in Charlottesville the same way we talk about events in a foreign country, here’s how Western media would cover it. Those quoted in the “story” below are fictional.

The international community is yet again sounding the alarm on ethnic violence in the United States under the new regime of President Trump. The latest flash point occurred this past weekend when the former Confederate stronghold of Charlottesville descended into chaos following rallies of white supremacist groups protesting the removal of statues celebrating leaders of the defeated Confederate states. The chaos turned deadly when Heather Heyer, a member of the white ethnic majority who attended the rally as a counterprotester, was killed when a man with neo-Nazi sympathies allegedly drove his car into a crowd.

Trump, a former reality television host, beauty pageant organizer and businessman, rose to political prominence by publicly questioning the citizenship of the United States’ first black president, Barack Obama. Since his election, Trump has targeted Muslims, refugees, Mexicans and the media. He has also advocated for police brutality. These tactics have appealed to and emboldened white ethno-nationalist groups and domestic terrorist organizations.

After Charlottesville, Trump has largely refused to unequivocally condemn the actions of the white supremacist groups. In a shocking news conference Tuesday, Trump, fuming after consuming hours of cable television, doubled down on blaming “both sides” for the weekend’s violence. His remarks garnered praise from a former leader of a white terrorist group known as the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke. “Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville,” Duke said on Twitter.

Beyond Trump’s coddling of white extremist groups, the emboldening of white supremacists and neo-Nazis raises questions about the state of the United States’ democracy 152 years after its brutal civil war over the rights of the white ethnic majority in its southern region to enslave members of the black ethnic minority. After the Charlottesville turmoil, more protests are expected around the country against the removal of Confederate monuments.

“Culturally, Americans are a curious lot,” said Andrew Darcy Morthington, an United Kingdom-based commentator who once embarked on a two-year mission trip to teach rural American children and therefore qualifies as an expert on U.S. affairs. “Donald Trump’s campaign message was that he would make America great again, and that there would be so much ‘winning.’ If America cares about being great, why has it fought so hard to keep monuments to the Confederate losers and enslavers?”

“The worst thing Britain ever did was letting go of our colony and thinking Americans were capable of governing themselves without eventually resorting back to tribal politics,” said Martin Rhodes, a shopkeeper in London. “I can’t believe a once-great empire would threaten everything it has built over generations just because a group of people give in to racism and xenoph…” Rhodes’s voice trailed off as he stared wistfully at a silent Big Ben.

Experts are also linking the weekend violence to the scourge of domestic terrorism carried out by white males, who have carried out almost twice as many mass attacks on American soil than Muslims have in recent years.

“This is the time for moderates across the white male world to come out and denounce violent racial terrorism, white supremacy and regressive tribal politics,” said James Charlotin, a Canadian national security expert. “Why haven’t they spoken out?”

European leaders have offered to convene the first-ever Countering Violent White Male Extremism (CVWME) summit somewhere in Europe, but critics have pointed out that Europe was the original exporter of many of the same colonial and white supremacist ideologies that have fueled misery all over the globe.

The Trump regime, which has failed to deliver on much of its legislation promises, is governing in a country awash in guns, where the maternal mortality rate, alcoholism and opioid drug use are on the rise.

“This is just a recipe for entrenched disaffection from the state and further isolation and radicalization of American white males,” Charlotin said.

“The Americans on both sides of the political spectrum like to talk about identity politics, or white identity,” said Mustapha Okango, a Kenyan anthropologist based in Nairobi. “The Americans like to lecture us and other Africans about keeping tribalism out of our politics and putting country ahead of our ethnic groups. America’s institutions are strong. But when I saw the images of those white men in polos carrying Party City tiki torches and weapons, it’s pretty clear American white tribal politics are alive and well, explicitly fueled by President Trump’s regime. White supremacy doesn’t just hurt blacks or other minority groups, it hurts the whole country. Take it from us Kenyans, it’s a dangerous recipe. We had hoped better for America.”

Reminder

When you think “What would I have done when the Nazis rose to power?” or “Which side would I have been on in the Civil War?” or other similar questions (usually thinking you’d be on the good side, fighting against the evil) just ask yourself: “Where am I and what am I doing right now?”

I can tell you where a lot of your black and Jewish friends are: terrified.

Mourning and acts of solidarity for the victims of the Charlottesville attack at a white nationalist rally

From New York to California, people join together at memorials and rallies to condemn the violent attack in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 12, 2017. One person was killed after white nationalists clashed with counter-demonstrators and a car plowed into a crowd near the scene of the earlier melee, the mayor of Charlottesville said.

The clashes on Saturday morning prompted the governor to declare an emergency and halt a rally over removing a Confederate general’s statue from a public park. (Reuters)

I fought Nazis at Berkeley — and I can’t wait to punch them in ‘Wolfenstein II’

I am hyped as hell for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the latest entry in the 35-year-old video game series about American soldiers killing Nazis. This time, according to the trailer, the Nazis have invaded America and it’s up to you to lead the resistance in a version of the United States that seems content to accept its new fascist leadership.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

This excitement isn’t because I’m really into shooters or games about historical warfare; the only war that interests me is class war. And, given that interest, I’ve organized against and counter-protested white supremacist actions: I was at the Battle for Berkeley, where I was tear-gassed three times and was hit with an explosive that left me unable to hear out of one ear for the rest of the day. Afterward, the alt-right passed around photos of me on social media as proof that antifa were getting men to dress up as women.

So I appreciate that game developers, a demographic that was embroiled in the alt-right’s predecessor, Gamergate, understand the conviction and catharsis that necessitated a game like Wolfenstein II in times like these. Their understanding of the dangers of fascism may not be immediately obvious under all the robot dragon-dogs and hovercrafts and wacky bosses, one of which probably turns out to be a hentai octopus from another dimension — you can’t really escape those trappings of excessiveness in a big-budget video game like this. The Morning After

(This is an older request, thank you anon!)

The kitchen looked alien and strange to Harry. Perhaps because it looked like it had never been used or perhaps because Harry had never seen it in daylight before.

He glanced nervously back at the bedroom door, which he had moments before eased closed behind him trying not to make to much noise and wake the blond still curled up in the bed. Harry opened one cabinet after another dismayed to find most of them empty. One held dishware and another had half a shelf of cereals and sweetened fruity quick oats that only required hot water, the rest held nothing.

Everything he needed to make coffee was all left out on the counter, even a single green mug with the Slytherin crest on the side. Harry hesitantly dumped a scoop of coffee grounds in and started the machine, it was strange looking like it was going to explode any second, as many wizard devices did. It hissed at him in what he hoped was a making coffee sort of way and not seconds away from a kitchen full of shrapnel and coffee grounds sort of way.

Harry’s fingers tapped a nervous staccato on the fancy white marble counter. He had never spent the night before, neither had Draco. They hadn’t really talked about it. There was a lot they didn’t talk about. If it weren’t for the fact they both worked at the Ministry and ran into one another quite often this ‘relationship’ of theirs would have never made it past the first drunken one night stand.

He pulled opened the chill box, a blast of cooling charms washing over him as he examined the contents. There were at least six different takeout containers stacked to one side and Harry was certain some of them had to be going wiffy by now, even with cooling and preservation charms. There was also a load of fresh produce, carefully wrapped meats and a small basket of eggs.

On top of a bell pepper there was a note written in a curving elegant script. Harry unstuck it, a smile growing as he read it. The note was from Narcissa, along with all the fresh food apparently. She chided Draco for eating too much takeout and reminding him about their sunday brunch plans. He set the note on the counter and grabbed eggs, the bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms to make an omelet. Or omelets he corrected himself, feeling a tremor of anxiety as he remembered where he was.

He found a knife that likely had never been used and charmed it to start chopping everything. He washed the frying pan just in case it too had never been used. The butter in the pan warmed and melted as the cook top heated at the tap of Harry’s wand. He smiled a little ruefully, it figured Draco would have the best in wizarding tech, even in a kitchen he probably never used.

Harry didn’t really think as he cooked. His mind wandered to Ron and Hermione’s recent marriage, as it often did these days. They were so happy in their new home, with their new life. Meanwhile, to most of the world, Harry appeared to have been single for almost a year now after many years of rocky broken relationships. His friends knew he was seeing someone, they also knew it was an uncertain casual relationship, though neither Harry or his friends had said as much or so directly.

Harry folded one omelet, sliding it onto a plate and putting a stasis charm over it before starting the next. He just… wanted more. His relationship with Draco was good, wonderful even, but it was missing so many things, like proper dates, morning afters, talks about the future. He didn’t need promises of forever or even marriage just- his eyes drifted to Narcissa’s note- just a promise for next week or even tomorrow.

Behind him, the door clicked open but there were no following footsteps. Harry looked over his shoulder. Draco was standing in the doorway his hair mussed, wearing a pair of sleep pants and loose shirt made of modal as soft as silk. He was frozen in place, his eyes wide with shock. Harry felt his stomach sink and turned back to the stove, plating the second omelet mechanically.

He felt numb. The question hovered on the tip of his tongue but he couldn’t bring himself to say it out loud; Do you want me to leave?

The floor creaked faintly.

Harry turned off the stove.

“Harry-”

Harry throat felt so dry it hurt but he managed a faint, “Yeah?”

Arms slid around his waist, pulling him back slightly as Draco pressed a soft kiss against the juncture of Harry’s neck and shoulder.

“You stayed,” Draco said softly, his voice sounding a little rough around the edges.

Harry shivered faintly, sliding his hands over Draco’s.

Draco pressed his chest to Harry’s back and Harry could feel his heart racing.

“That’s alright?” Harry asked leaning into Draco.

“I never thought… you would want to,” Draco said carefully.

Harry felt some of the tension leave him and a tentative hope take its place, “And if I wanted morning afters? And dates…” his voice dropped, “a future, together?”

Draco shivered.

Harry turned, first his head and then his whole body, taking Draco’s face in his hands. He wiped the first hint of a tear from the corner of Draco’s eye.

“Everything,” Draco said hoarsely, “you can have everything.”

Harry smiled and leaned forward, stealing a soft chaste kiss, “Just you. I just want you.”

They meet for the first time in a coffee shop. It’s so cliché like his life is a goddamn rom-com. Except for the part where Castiel friggin’ Novak is a- is an asshole.

Admittedly, he’s an asshole with sex hair and striking eyes – and Dean is, quite frankly, insulted by this; someone like Castiel really shouldn’t look so good – but he’s still an asshole and Dean is definitely not into him. For the most part.

He has some self-respect.

Anyway, they meet on a Thursday morning where Dean usually gets his coffee before class, like he does every day. Except today there’s a new guy behind the counter.

And, god, he’s- he’s beautiful. Can boys be beautiful? Dean thinks they can, and even if they can’t, this guy would definitely be the exception to the rule. Yeah, he’s fucking gorgeous. And maybe Dean loses the ability to form words for a second but he’s always sucked when it comes to crushes on boys so, really, it’s not his fault.

There’s a queue, and the guy is looking at him with an almost-smile like he knows exactly what Dean’s thinking and says, ‘Are you going to order or just stare all day?’

Dean narrows his eyes ever so slightly because rude but he doesn’t feel too offended because, holy shit, his voice. He’s probably taken what with his sex hair and sex voice; he probably had a very busy night.

The faint smile changes into him looking like he’s trying not to laugh at Dean. And Dean doesn’t particularly want to be laughed at but he also really wants to hear him laugh.

Flirting is Dean’s first language, though, and he decides he’s not going to be rendered speechless by this- by Castiel, according to his nametag.

‘Bit of both?’ Dean suggests smiling back, sickly sweet. Castiel raises an eyebrow but doesn’t say anything, which Dean counts as a victory, and orders a caramel macchiato, and then Castiel does laugh at him.

‘You got a problem with that?’ Dean asks, affronted but also mildly stunned by his unfairly attractive laugh. Can laughs be attractive? Goddammit.

‘Not at all,’ Castiel replies, still with that smile and that voice.

‘Fine,’ Dean bristles, and he knows he’s being somewhat pathetic, but he can’t think of anything else to say and the line is getting pretty long, so he lets it go.

He also most definitely doesn’t think about Castiel for the rest of the day.

Make Me Bad

DESC: Reader isn’t the kind of girl who goes out to parties and gets wasted, but that all changes when Ethan Dolan shows her how to really live.

photo creds to owner

————————————————————————————————-

You’d never been so terrified by something that seemed so simple.

“Just a party,” you reminded yourself, extending your fingertips towards the silver door handle.

How had you gotten here in the first place? The answer wasn’t so much how, but who. Ethan Dolan had been your best friend and number one supporter for months, so you couldn’t turn down his request to a party, especially when you just so happened to be head over heels in love with him. You casually forgot to mention to him that you’d never so much as touched alcohol in your life, or gone to a party, either. But it didn’t take a genius to know that you were the classic head smart good girl, so, there was that. You ended up putting much more time into how you looked than you’d set out for, but no matter what you did, you knew that you would stick out like a sore thumb. You’d chosen a midnight blue strapped crop top, a short high waisted black skirt, and some silver heels. You’d let your hair down for once, and spent much more time than you’d like to admit doing your makeup. And now, here you were, and you couldn’t be more scared to pull that handle.

Luckily, you didn’t have to open the door, since somebody else did. A drunk couple toppled out the door in a fit of laughter, red plastic cups in their hands as they threw off their shoes and raced out into the grass. Not waiting another second, you dove through the doorway and into an absolute nightmare. The floor shook under the feet of hundreds of people dancing, so many people that they spilled out into the garden and right to the pool. Strobe lights blinded you instantly, and the music was so loud, it took everything you had not to cover your ears like a dork. You got sucked into the crowd instantly, knocking hips with a guy who reeked of beer.

“Hey pretty lady, wanna dance?” He winked, his hands flying to your hips and pulling you into his chest.

“She’s with me,” a familiar voice said behind you.

The stranger sized up your savior, but quickly gave it up and backed off.

“Hey,” a warm voice said in your ear.

A smile crept up on your lips, and you spun to face Ethan, “Hey.”

He wore a plain white tee, some ripped black skinnies, and navy shoes. As usual, absolutely mesmerizing without even trying.

Ethan’s smile faltered, his eyes drinking you in for a good few seconds.

“Wow, um,” he started, taken aback, “You look…”

“Like a mess, I know,” you stammered.

“No,” Ethan smiled nervously, “You look amazing.”

You felt your cheeks warm in surprise, “Oh, um, thanks.”

Ethan nodded lightly, the smile you loved lighting up his face.

“Well, let’s get you out of this crowd for a minute,” he said.

“Thank god,” you laughed nervously and gratefully took Ethan’s hand as he pulled you easily through the waves of people.

Ethan walked you out of the loud dance floor, and into the slightly deserted kitchen. Not many people were in there, mostly just people coming in and out to fill their drinks up. He led you to the empty side of the kitchen, and hopped up onto the white marble counter-top, pointing to an empty stool across from him.

“So, how you feeling?” he asked.

“I don’t know, to be honest, this isn’t really my scene.”

Yeah right, you’ve been to parties before,” Ethan chuckled.

You coughed awkwardly and shook your head in embarrassment.

“What!?” Ethan gasped, “For real!?”

“For real,” you sighed nervously.

“Wow, you haven’t lived yet,” he said.

“Sorry,” you mumbled.

“Don’t be” Ethan smirked suddenly, “Because tonight we’re changing that.”

Your eyes flickered up to his, “Wha-, no, no.”

But Ethan had already hopped off the counter and dashed across the kitchen, coming back seconds later with two beer bottles in hand. He tossed you one, and you caught it without meaning to.

“Drink up,” he smiled, popping open his bottle and taking a gulp.

You held the chilly bottle in your hands, your heart beating fast.

“How about this,” Ethan said suddenly. “For every drink you drink, I’ll have one, that way we’ll be doing this together. And tomorrow, if you wake up regretting tonight, I will never ask you to do this again. You win. But, I promise you, you’ll have fun.”

You blew air out of your mouth, hating yourself for caving so easily.

“Fine,” you said, to Ethan’s delight. “But remember if this goes wrong, it’s on you.”

You opened your drink, and began downing it quickly. You didn’t particularly like it going down, but you sure enjoyed how it made you feel not too long afterwards.

“How do you feel now?” Ethan asked.

“I feel..bubbly,” you said with a big smile.

“You know what’s even better than that,” Ethan said huskily, “Feeling drunk.”

And before you knew it you were taking vodka shots with your best friend and biggest crush.

“Three, two, one,” Ethan counted down, bringing the shot glass to his lips at the same time as you. You scrunched up your face from the taste, but Ethan didn’t so much, his eyes tracking you the entire time.

“One last one,” you stuttered tipsily, refilling your drink.

You linked your arms into Ethan so that you’d be downing eachother’s drinks, but this time you held onto Ethan’s gaze as the liquid poured down your throats.

“Damn,” you said, placing your glass on the counter and turning to move.

“Where are you going?” Ethan asked.

“I’ll never be drunk enough to want to take the dance floor, but there’s a first time for everything,” you said as you made your way out the kitchen.

It was good Ethan followed you, because your feet wobbled dangerously and you went toppling backwards right into Ethan’s arms.

“I got you,” he laughed out, pushing you back upright.

“Thanks, E,” you smiled and fixed your balance before moving out into the mass of dancing people.

You had no idea what you were supposed to be doing, so you followed everybody else’s lead and shook your head and hips to the beat of the song, and that seemed to do the trick. The same guy from earlier came sliding into view, but you didn’t even try to stop him when he put his hands on your hips and began dancing into you. The pulse of the song beat hard in your chest and you laughed drunkenly and mimicked the stranger. You were actually starting to enjoy yourself when a strong hand grabbed you from behind and spun you right into a hard chest. You blinked through the flashing strobe lights in confusion.

“Come on Ethan, I was having fun,” you winged in complaint.

Ethan looked you over defensively, his jaw clenched.

“Not as much fun as you could be having with me,” he pointed out, running a hand through his dark locks.

“Whatever, dance with me,” you said, swinging yourself back into the song.

You started off jumping into the beat, but changed demeanor when you felt Ethan behind you, placing one large hand on each side of your round hips. You closed your eyes, enveloped by the sound, and pressed your shoulders back into Ethan as you swayed your hips lightly against his body. You rolled your neck into Ethan’s chest, resting your head on him as you let yourself be consumed by the feeling of him grinding into you. Ethan’s chest rose heavily, his cool breath tickling your face, his eyes closed. You blinked up at him, startled when he opened his eyes again, his dark eyes resting hungrily on yours. For a moment everyone vanished, and it was just you and Ethan, and there he was, bending over you, his lips parting-

“Belly shots!” someone yelled from across the room, snapping you out of your daze.

You cleared your throat, shaking your head a little bit with a smile, “Um, let’s go.”

Ethan nodded distantly, detaching himself from you and leading you to the fun.

“Who’s next?” someone called.

“This girl,” Ethan said, pushing you to the front of the small crowd.

A blonde guy raised his eyebrow at you with a smirk, “I’ll take this one.”

“No man, she’s mine,” Ethan growled, stepping forward.

You gulped nervously, nodding shyly at Ethan and pulling yourself up onto the polished tabletop.

You tucked the lime between your lips, the salt spread over the top area of your breasts, and the tequila poured into your exposed bellybutton. Before you could even prepare yourself a little bit, Ethan was hunched over you, his tongue collecting all the salt, his lips attaching gently to your belly, and than to your mouth in seconds. The lights were blocked out by the shadow of Ethan bending over your lips, holding your eye contact for a moment while he sucked the lime from your lips and into his. The sound of triumphant cheers and whoops  filled your ears, as you sat up. You grinned and turned to hop off the table but didn’t get to, for Ethan spat his lime out and grabbed you roughly by your hips and hoisted you into him, your legs wrapping around his waist obediently. And then the roaring of the crowd got a hundred times louder as Ethan attacked your lips mercilessly with his own, and you let him. Your hands went sliding roughly through his hair, your lips responding hungrily to Ethan’s, not even bothering to hide your moans of pleasure when he dipped his tongue into your mouth.

Suddenly, Ethan pulled his head back, his eyes fluttering open.

“(Y/N),” Ethan breathed apologetically.

“I want this,” you assured him, your teeth grazing over your lower lip, “I want you.”

Ethan clenched his jaw in frustration, his eyes closing as he fought to pick out his next words.

“(Y/N), you better answer with certainty, because if you give me a yes, then I don’t think I’m going to have the willpower to ask you again,” he murmured, his nostrils flaring.

“Ethan,” you said softly, “Open your eyes.”

He did, and they were darker than usual, and filled with nothing but lust.

“Yes,” you said.

And that was all it took.

The crowd of people whistled as Ethan placed you down on the ground and began leading you upstairs.

Ethan closed the bedroom door behind you, locking it shut and whipping around to face you. He pushed you down onto the sheets, climbing over you and removing his top and shoes, you following his lead. He dipped his lips onto your neck, sucking on a patch of your skin and drawing out sounds of pleasure from you. He nibbled and sucked your neck until it was covered in many dark love bites. You went to unclip your bra, but he had it off in seconds with little to no effort. Ethan brought his lips down to your breasts, attaching them around one of your nipples, his tongue flicking against the tip as he sucked on it roughly before moving to the other breast and repeating the action. You struggled not to roll your head back, keeping your eyes on Ethan, who lifted his deep gaze intently to yours while he worked. You breathed out in pleasure, your hands tugging at Ethan’s soft hair as his tongue came sliding down your belly and down to your skirt. He hooked his fingers into the fabric, sliding your skirt off your legs and tossing off his jeans while he was at it. You took him by surprise, grabbing his hips and turning him onto his back as you hoisted yourself onto his legs, his growing bulge centimeters away from where you wanted it. Ethan chuckled in surprise, his arms snaking around your belly as you bent over him, leaving wet kisses all over his rippled bronze chest. A deep rumble came from his throat as he moved his hands to your ass, which he squeezed roughly in his hands while you explored his chest. You looked up at him, your thumbs hooking in his Calvin’s, your heart thumping with adrenaline. Ethan nodded lightly, giving you the ok to remove his boxers. His large member perked right up, ready for you to take in your mouth, so you did. You squeezed as much of him as you could between your lips, your hands gently pumping any of him that didn’t fit. His length hit the back of your throat, but you took it, working your hands faster, a layer of sweat building on your skin. Ethan groaned out in pleasure, the sound being more enough to keep you going. You swirled your tongue around the tip, feeling him twitch in your mouth.

“B-baby, I’m gonna c-” Ethan gasped out.

He released his load in your mouth, and you swallowed without thinking twice. You pulled off, your chest rattling as you gulped in the fresh air. Ethan sat propped up on his elbow’s, his eyes wide in wonder as you lifted your gaze to him.

“Not so innocent after all,” he smirked, an eyebrow raised.

You blushed furiously in embarrassment, Ethan scooting you forward on his belly so he could reach your lips. He used his thumb to collect some left over mess around your lips, his eyes unwavering as he forced his finger into your mouth. You sucked on it lightly, his thumb popping as he removed it. Ethan smiled gently, bending into you for a quick kiss on the lips, his hand resting beneath your chin. He pulled back a moment later, shaking his head in awe.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” you asked, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.

“Because you’re gorgeous,” Ethan mumbled softly, “And because It’s my turn.”

Ethan spun you onto your back, raising his shaft above you and positioning it right near your entrance. You scooted back so that you could get a look at him, your hands resting open on either side of your body. Ethan laced his fingers through yours, holding you to the sheets as he entered you. Your face reflexively scrunched up as Ethan adjusted himself, but soon he was moving in and out of you at an excruciatingly slow pace.

“Ethan,” you begged in frustration, glaring at him.

Ethan’s lips twitched into a smile, and he began working himself faster towards your core.

“More,” you pleaded, digging your nails into Ethan’s hands.

He re-positioned his hands onto your hips, holding you in place as he began slamming his hips into you with no mercy. His hips came knocking roughly into yours, his balls slapping loudly against your skin. You cried out in pleasure, your nails dragging marks all over Ethan’s back. He found your g-spot and slammed roughly into it, his mouth dropping open, and his eyes fluttering closed in concentration.

“I’m going to-” before you could finish your sentence, Ethan had opened his eyes again to watch you shudder beneath him. And just the sight of his hair plastered to his forehead, his flawless body shaking with each jagged breath, and his dark eyes, was enough to break you.

“Come for me, princess,” Ethan purred.

You reached your high, convulsing beneath Ethan and screaming out his name as your juices poured out over him. Ethan’s thrusts got much sloppier, and he finished soon after, his come filling you right up to the brim. You shook beneath him, moisture clinging to your eyes as he pulled out and cleaned you up with small kitten licks.

Ethan crawled up to your side, giving you a moment to breathe. You rolled onto your side to face him, feeling exhausted. Ethan rolled to his side too, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on your forehead and gently slide his fingers through your tangles.

“Goodnight, beautiful,” he murmured.

But your head buried into his warm chest, you were already out.

- The next morning -

You awoke with a headache, the events of last night coming rushing back to your head at once. You blinked a couple of times and looked up to see Ethan still passed out, he’d fallen asleep with one arm locked tightly around you.

“Mmph,” you groaned, rubbing your eyes and sliding out of Ethan’s hold.

You sat upright, bringing your knees to your chest and placing your head in them while you struggled with what you were going to tell Ethan.

You knew for a fact that alcohol or no alcohol, you were sure of what you’d wanted last night, but you weren’t sure if you could say the same for him.

“Hey,” Ethan said, pulling himself up onto the pillows.

You lifted your head to look at him.

“How’s my not-so-good-girl,” he teased, ruffling his hair.

You scoffed and shook your head, “I don’t know, to be honest.”

“I could’ve sworn you said that same thing to me last night before getting drunk off your mind,” Ethan chuckled.

“You remember that?” you laughed weakly, picking through your foggy memories.

“Of course,” E said, his smile faltering.

“Look, alcohol doesn’t affect me quite as strongly as it does to you,” he started,”so if last night was a mistake to you-”

“Was it a mistake to you?” you cut him off, a knot of fear growing in your belly.

Ethan frowned at you, “Of course not, (Y/N), you can’t even begin to imagine how long I’ve been waiting for last night to happen,” he said. Then his eyes grew wide and he groaned in frustration, “Last night was a mistake to you, wasn’t it?” he hit his palms against his head.

“No,” you said. “Well of course I didn’t want things to happen quite like that, but well, you know.”

Ethan smiled curiously, “Really?”

“Really,” you smiled nervously.

“So then, you tell me,” Ethan grinned, “we had a promise.”

You raised an eyebrow in question.

“Do you swear off nights like last night and place full blame on me?” he asked.

“Nights like last night,” you repeated.

Ethan nodded, his brown eyes fixated on you.

“I get the feeling that ‘nights’ symbolizes something more than just a fling,” you laughed, “In which case, no, I would very much want to try out ‘nights’ some more.”

Ethan’s face lit up, “See, just like I said. I promised you’d come around.”

You plopped back down into the sheets, rolling back under Ethan’s arm and snuggling into him, “I guess you were right.”

The Story Of A Girl Who Has A Crush On A Cute Cashier

“It’s okay, you can do this, talk to her. She’s just a girl. Just a gal. Like you. There’s nothing weird about this. She’s human, you’re human. Everything should be fine.” I whispered to myself until I noticed what I was doing and stopped. I approached the front desk and looked at the cute cashier.

I only gave her a glance but it was enough to see what I wanted to see. I saw her beautiful neon blue hair, her adorable freckles and her pink eyes. I saw the little chub to her cheeks and I saw the smirk on her face as she played a game on her phone while waiting for customers. I saw enough to know I was in love.

“Hello.” I said, and my voice cracked. I fucked up. I fucked up so bad. I put down my things on the counter and remained quiet.

Time of Your Life

A belated birthday present to my beloved @disraeligearsgoestumblin who wanted a Check, Please! ficlet. I hope this bit of nonsense suffices!

“Thanks for joining Falcs TV for our Livestream, everyone. We’ve got something special for you today. We’re checking out if these boys can do more than play great hockey. Join me as we test the team on their hidden talents.” Georgia winked at the camera before leading it to Thirdy.

“Alright, we’re going to start with the old men of the team. All the Falcs Fans know this guy, Thirdy, what have you got for us today?”

Thirdy held up a long balloon. “I’ll be making some awesome balloon animals, George.”

Georgia turned to raise her eyebrow to the camera as Thirdy squeaked through a clumsy sculpting job. After a few moments, he held up…something. The long, bent balloon had two little nubs twisted into its base.

“It’s a giraffe!” Thirdy tried to smile confidently.

“It’s obscene.” Marty snickered, earning an out of frame kick to the shin from Georgia. “What? Look at that thing! Giraffes have four legs, Thirdy.”

“It’s the front view of the giraffe!” Thirdy frowned.

“Well, that was wonderful, let’s move on to Marty, shall we?” Georgia stepped quickly away from Thirdy and his semi-phallic balloon. “Marty, what do you have for us today?”

“First, I’d like to take a moment, as senior captain of the Falcs, to apologize for the inappropriate content in Thirdy’s talent. We at the Falcs don’t condone such inappropriate-” The balloon whooshed through the frame, smacking Marty squarely on the forehead. Marty looked at the camera with a raised eyebrow. “My special talent is killing co-captains.”

Jealousy Induced Hickey Attack (Bucky Barnes X Reader)

Title: Jealousy Induced Hickey Attack [ REQUESTED by @no-other-names-availible-blog ]

Pairing: Bucky Barnes X Reader

Genre: Fluff

MASTERLIST

I am so sorry this is so late. I’ve been swamped with school lately and just started my two weeks long term break so here’s the super overdue request! I hope it’s up to your standards!

Now, if you thought Bucky was on the down low in the Avengers Tower, (Y/N) was probably even more scarce in this hero-filled compound. She was this quiet girl that was always trying to go under the radar. If she wasn’t summoned, she was hidden.

It isn’t easy to keep secrets or stay hidden in a tower where its residents are not only skilled spies but are also incredibly nosey individuals. But perhaps it was because (Y/N), and Bucky had close to no interactions with each other, that no one thought it was close to probable that the duo was together.

Stark’s over the top parties were no stranger to anyone that were somewhat part of his social circle. Tonight was once again a night of lavish partying and endless flow of food and alcohol.

(Y/N) was off in her little reading nook on the second level that overlooked the entire ongoing party. She was in her usual oversized sweater that fell to the mid of her thighs, her hair in a messy ponytail, her new book in her hands as she thumbed the same page for the past 20 minutes.

Her gaze was fixed on a large figure that was sitting at the open bar, next to Captain America himself. Bucky was nursing his drink while continuing his hushed conversation with his best friend. He was back facing (Y/N) and failed to notice a pretty lady clad in a tight red dress making her way towards the soldier.

Seeing the scene unfolding in front of her, (Y/N)’s brows furrowed and a deep frown settled on her face. The page she was thumbing crumpling slightly as her fists clenched, her gaze not leaving her lover.

The red dress lady has now settled next to Bucky, her long legs crossed, dress sliding up her thighs. She placed her hand on his shoulder, fingers fluttering playful as she leaned over to whisper into Bucky’s somewhat rigid body.

At that scene unfolding before her, (Y/N)’s book fell to the floor with a loud thud and the two super soldiers didn’t miss the dull sound that came echoing from the upper level.

Bucky’s widening eyes met (Y/N)’s glossy ones and that was all it took for the super soldier to hastily get off the bar stool and make his way to her.

He followed his lover with wide steps as the girl rushed to the comforts of her room, not paying mind to his confused best friend he left behind.

Bucky quickly slipped into (Y/N)/s room before her door slammed shut, enveloping the sobbing girl in his warm chest as he sealed her lips with his, tipping her over to king sized bed, mumbles of sorry falling from his lips.

The warm sunlight shined in the room, falling on the faces of the entwined lovers, stirring the girl from her slumber. Blinking her sleepiness away, (Y/N)’s eyes focused on the broad chest her face was resting on during the night.

Her cheeks had a dust of pink as she remembered the ministrations the night before. In a jealous frenzy, the usually shy (Y/N) was more forward than usual. She didn’t want to be that damsel that couldn’t voice out what she wanted, showed people who she cared for.

Despite those thoughts that flitted through her mind the night before, the blush that peppered her cheeks were still a prominent shade of pink.

As she burrowed her heated face into Bucky’s chest, the soldier stirred from his sleep, attention focusing on the girl enclosed in his arms.

“Mornin’ doll.” he murmured, placing a chaste kiss on her forehead, his lips upturned into a satisfied smile.

Her reply came back muffled as her face was still buried in Bucky’s wide chest. At that, Bucky let out a deep chuckle, lightly pulling the embarrassed girl away from him, his other hand tucking her fallen hair behind her ear.

With a sneaky grin on his face, Bucky playfully flipped his body around, pressing (Y/N) against the bed and hovered over her.

Stretching out his body, Bucky said, “So doll, what’s with the hickey attack last night?” a handsome smirk hung on his lips.

(Y/N) grabbed the sheets that have fallen to the side of their bed with lightning speed and wiggled her way out of Bucky’s caged arms. Wrapping her white sheets around her bare body, she lightly pecked Bucky’s cheek and scampered her way to the attached bathroom, leaving a shocked Bucky behind.

The couple made their separate ways to the dining area of the tower much to Bucky’s dismay, and as he stepped into the kitchen area, his ears picked up the voices of the group of nosy Avengers he called his family.

Bucky was dressed in a white tank top to counter the heat from the summer day and sauntered to his seat next to his secret girlfriend.

He reached over to grab the jug of juice placed away from him causing all the heroes to stop short during their chatter and stare at the super soldier with wide eyes.

Being the first to recover from the shock, Tony smugly called out to Bucky “So Tinman, whats with the purple spots decorating you? Is it that sexy red dress’s work? Where’s the woman of the hour?”

Before Bucky could deny Tony’s claims, the usually quiet (Y/N)’s voice came through quickly “What sexy red dress?! Bucky’s mine!”

Right as that slipped from her lips, (Y/N)’s eyes widened in shock, the tips of her ear a bright red as she covered her face with her hands.

Hearing that vocal declaration coming out from his shyer partner, Bucky couldn’t help but push put his chest in pride. All of a sudden, a flurry of comments came at the couple from all corners of the dining table.

Ignoring the group of noisy Avengers, Bucky stood up and turned towards his now not-so-secret girlfriend and scooped her out of her seat.

“I’m bringing my girlfriend back to our room. We’ll be skipping out on dinner and lunch.” Bucky called out, a smug grin on his face, as he takes wide strides back to his bedroom, with a flushed (Y/N) in his arms.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

It was eight o'clock when you were rushing around your apartment, grabbing everything you thought you would need for the day. It was your first day at the new job, and you swore your clothes were already dripping with sweat. “Best of luck!” Lydia shouted from her room as you grabbed your backpack and rushed out the door to your car.

You lived twenty minutes from Beacon Hills, but you still wanted to make a good impression by showing up early, especially since you’ve never met Rosie before and Stiles had to introduce you before he left for work.
