“Sam, I said no,” you rolled your eyes as you reached into the top cabinet to grab some peanut butter for your sandwich, your feet shuffling lightly against the marbled flooring.

“C’mon, why not?” he chased after you with urgency.

You spun around to face him, a peanut butter jar in your hand, and came face to face with his pleading doe eyes. “You know why,” you mumbled.

“Jinnie-hyung invited us,” Hoseok says with a cheeky grin and Yoongi has half a mind to take off his shoe and throw it at his youngest. Maybe he’ll break that ridiculously straight nose of his.

“Bullshit,” Yoongi spits out, shifting his glare towards Namjoon who’s reading a book on his kindle. The purple-haired ignores him completely and whether it’s because he’s actually invested in the book or because he’s intimidated by Yoongi the man doesn’t know.

“Uhuh! He totally did!” Hoseok says like the petulant child he actually is and Yoongi’s blood boils with fury.

“Are you guys playing nice?” Seokjin calls from the kitchen, blissfully oblivious at the fact that he’s about to lose two of his best friends to murder and his roommate to jail. Yoongi throws one last look at Hoseok, who has settled on reading Namjoon’s book over his shoulder.

“Hyung!” Yoongi stomps, walking over to the kitchen, where Seokjin is pouring popcorn on a bowl. There’s two full bowls already and a tray of cookies cooling on top of the counter.

“Yes?” Seokjin says happily. He’s wearing that white cable-knit sweater that makes Yoongi feel some type of way.

“Why are they here?” Yoongi whines, jumping up and down and throwing his head back like a two-year-old throwing a tantrum. Seokjin gives out a weary sigh.

“Because I invited them.”

“But why? I thought this was just going to be the two of us!” Yoongi complains. He was the one that brought the idea up. With the impending doom of Valentine’s day upon them Yoongi wanted to make several movie nights, watching every genre except for romance before culminating in one big drama-filled night where he and Seokjin would cry and promptly confess their love to each other when they realized that those characters losing their loved ones in the movies could be them.

“I’m sorry Yoongi-chi,” Seokjin says, and it sounds so incredibly patronizing Yoongi wants to stomp his foot again.

“You still haven’t answered why,” Yoongi pouts and Seokjin sighs, handing him one of the popcorn bowls.

“You three used to be so close and recently all you guys do is fight…” Seokjin stops and looks at Yoongi and he kind of feels like a child being scolded “I don’t understand what’s happening but I thought it would be good for you guys to bond.”
