The Doctor leapt from his control console, racing into the circle as Clara fully materialised, only just catching her as her legs gave out from under her.

This part right here kills me. He just can’t help but stare at her lips and tilt his head. Pretty sure he was this close to giving in to her. How easy it would have been to just kiss her and do as if everything was ok. But he knows deep down that she’s got an agenda and that it’s not the real her, the woman he fell in love with. Being dark is not what Emma would want, and even if it kills him, he chose to make the hard call.
