where's brooke

every time neil gets himself injured on the court, and refuses to go to abby about it because he doesnt like showing people his scars even though shes already seen him and he gets so much shit from andrew about it how stupid do you have to be to hit yourself in the face with your own racket? but then andrew just brings him into the locker room and begrudgingly fixes him up without any more comments. and he sometimes runs his fingers over neils scars, because he sees them as something different, he sees them as beautiful. he’d never admit it, but neil knows. he knows that he sees them as part of neil, and he loves the whole of him, even the things neil sees as ugly.

this is a masterpost of my Opinions, because i’ve been seeing a lot of drama and ship war bullshit going on, so i just want to be very clear on where i stand on some things. here we go:

-alex is not an alcoholic. she’s an adult who drinks alcohol.
-i ship karolsen & supercorp both, at the same time, legit like 50/50.
-that being said, i can also acknowledge that lena is kind of problematic (the alien finding device thing) and i would love for them to address that please.
-james, j'onn, and maggie have been treated horribly this season. they’re all regulars, and yet only get about, what? .5 seconds of screen time per week? and yes, it’s for sure racist…..which brings me to my next point..
-it’s no secret that my biggest problem w/ this season is mon-el. they sidelined james for this white fratboy, and there was nothing subtle about it. why they felt the need to kill a cute, semi-slowburn romance between an interracial couple is beyond me.
-i don’t think m'gann is technically a regular, but she’s also been treated like shit. they literally have sharon leal on their payroll and they’re not using her AT ALL and i’m heated about it.
-i’m cool with james as guardian, but i am not cool w/ literally any other male heroes on this show, because supergirl, at its core, is a show about women. as it fuckin should be.
-sanvers is my lifeblood.
-maggie needs a backstory, and relationships with people outside of alex. i would love for her and james to be besties, and please for the love of god acknowledge the friendship that she would undoubtedly have with m'gann.
-i want cat grant back.
-i want lucy lane back.
-last but not least. my daughter, kara danvers, has been sidelined on her own show. she is more alone right now than we have ever seen her, and it’s reflected in her overall demeanor. i despise the fact that we had such an amazing, underlying awareness of kara’s constant anger and grief in season 1, and now it’s as if that never existed. i miss the episodes ending with her and alex talking and eating pizza, but now all we get is mon-el manipulating her into feeling guilty that she doesn’t like him back. i don’t need that, and neither does she.

these are some of the big things that i’ve seen people arguing about the last few weeks. if you disagree with any of this, that’s fine, we can still be friends. literally the only people i’m not interested in talking to, are karamel shippers who genuinely believe that they are a healthy relationship, and that kara and mon-el have more chemistry than kara and literally anyone else. they should be brother/sister relationship, and that’s all. other than that, please know that i love seeing different headcanons for all the ships, and brotps you guys come up with, even if i don’t ship them myself. i follow blogs with totally opposite opinions, and love coexisting with each and every one of you.

Honestly… wtf is this.  Hahaha.

I will say for episode 2x15….

There was a very minimal amount of Mon-El time, and the overall plot and development of the show with multiple characters, multiple relationships, and multiples arcs, I mean…. I felt like old Supergirl was back for .5 seconds.

The Lena/ Kara|Supergirl interactions were on point (though I am wondering if evil Lena will come in the future).

We had Guardian|James.

We had James BROTP with Winn!

Winn and Lyra.

Alex and Jeremiah.  Alex and Kara.  Alex and Maggie.  Alex and Jo’on.

Danvers sisters bonding!!!

We had Lillian and Lena feuding.

We had Kara’s actual career in the mix. And Snapper Carr!

I mean Jesus, it was like, THE TEAM IS BACK YALL.

Maybe I’ll write a full review before signing off.  Stay tuned. :)  But make no mistake, I’m still boycotting after this week.

One episode is not enough CW.

After Lukas’ first experience in a gay bar, Philip hasn’t so much as mentioned going back. While he might have found it comical to see the look on Lukas’ face when he realized where they were, Philip isn’t cruel; he had made a mistake, one that made Lukas uncomfortable, and he had no interest in making Lukas panic like that again.

It was Lukas that brought it up. It was a few months after the death of Ryan Kane, and the boys were sprawled on the grass in front of Helen and Gabe’s house, listening to some music that Lukas and Philip were considering as additions to their ever-growing playlist. Lukas mentioned it, mentioned that he’d like to go back, mentioned that he thought it’d be fun.

Now, here they are, getting their ID’s checked at the door, both much better dressed than last time they were here. The bouncer lets them in without so much as a second glance, and then Philip is getting drinks, and they’re drinking much more than they should, until the world is tipping at it’s edges and they’re lighter than when they come in.

Lukas drags Philip out onto the dance floor just as some 2000s era song fills the air. It’s Mariah Carey in the worst way, but it fits, and it works, and Philip and Lukas don’t hesitate to grab onto each other and dance.

okay but: babies love andrew. especially the foxes babies. they dont understand it at all, but for some reason, if a child is put on the floor and andrew is in the room theyre crawling/walking/tumbling over to him.

andrew tolerates them with mild disinterest. he doesnt love them, or really like them, but he does appreciate that they dont want him to be anything other than what he is. theyre content to just sit with him.

so he’ll hold them for a while (the others were worried the first time he picked up dan and matts baby because he/she was crying but everyone quickly became okay with it when the baby immediately went quiet) and finds that he likes having something in his hands.

The star-signs in nature
  • {I've had writer's block lately, so I decided to have a go at fixing it by writing a short description of what each star-sign makes me think of}:
  • Aries: Spring. Flowers bloom – a burst of colour splashed across the landscape – and new life springs forth into the world. This is where the ram belongs; the open fields of the rural world, where lambs bleat and foals take their first steps on too-long limbs, where rolling hills of green fill the horizon and new-born life sees the world with fresh, wide eyes.
  • Taurus: The foals, though still so young, take to the wind, galloping and jumping so fast and high they could take flight, the lambs play in their flocks, and the calf with its wet nose and big, lovely eyes chases its brothers and sisters through the field. This is where the bull finds solace; the electric excitement of the wild, fresh life that leaps and bounds around them.
  • Gemini: The twins have hearts of two halves. The sun in all of its blistering heat warming the golden sand beneath your feet as you pad along the beachfront is home, but the twins long for the cool of the night beneath clear skies. They are both the love of a lush light blue of the day and the adoration for the royal velvet blue of the night.
  • Cancer: Summertime in the sun, with waves lapping against white, perfect sand and erasing the footprints in the sand as the crab pads barefoot through the shallows. Everything is lovely and bright, even the sea itself glistens like the richest tanzanite stones – a billion gems shining in the waves – and the sun warms their soul with their every step.
  • Leo: There’s something of a quiet awe found in the sudden burst of a sunrise that, for the lion, can only be rivalled by its sweet, silent sister; Dusk. When the world is wrapped in soft reds and light purples and the birds sing their evening lullabies, the lion’s great heart finds its home.
  • Virgo: A virgin ship christened with a shattered bottle of champagne, a world seen from a new, fresh angle. This is where the Virgo finds the peace they long for: rolling waves and dawns reflected in a billion shattered pieces over the water’s surface. The open air of the ocean and the leaping of dolphins as they escort the ship through the sea. This is where Virgo finds love.
  • Libra: Balance can be found in many things. It can be found in the circle of life and in the stark contrast between day and night. This is where Libra is at home. In the mountains, where the sun glistens over the snowy peaks, or in the woods where beautiful wildflowers bloom only in the dark.
  • Scorpio: There’s a sort of perfection that Scorpio can find wrapped in burnt orange blankets and watching as pink marshmallows melt into their hot chocolate. Long, cosy sweaters and fur-lined boots cradle the soul of the Scorpio as they listen to the leaves crunch underfoot and see the world become a sunburst of reds and oranges around them.
  • Sagittarius: The archer finds peace in the wilderness. Peace is in the trees stretching their ancient limbs up into the air and bats flapping their leathery wings and singing their strange lullabies to the darkness. To the archer, life is breathing cool, crisp night air beneath whorls of stars and galaxies smattered like paint across the night skies.
  • Capricorn: Capricorn is the heart of winter, finding love in the freshly fallen snow and delight in the crunch of boots through the carpet of white. They are the clouds of breath in the cold, the feel of wool wrapped around you, cocooning you from the icy weather and thermal socks that make your feet look like little arctic foxes.
  • Aquarius: Like atlas holds aloft the sky with his mighty strength, the water-bearer carries a weight of their own. They too feel the chill of the season, but their soul longs for the icy waters of the ocean where the waves whip and lash like wild horses against the bit and the foam is the soul of the beasts that dwell below.
  • Pisces: Where one takes solace in the wide open spaces of the ocean, Pisces’ heart lies further inland where the rivers are nothing more than a rapid, rippling brook where the water flows over stone and shapes the very land around it. Where fish leap and birds flit and deer dance in the shallows. That’s the soul of the Pisces.
