where no one can bother me

anonymous asked:

What did fear gas ed say to Os in that moment? I couldn't understand him but maybe that was done on purpose but also it bothers me not to know lol

He said “What’s wrong?” and then the second one where he muffled scream I can’t hear either lol. BUT SOO GOOD AAAAAAAAAAH.

Starters | Kidnapped

“Hey there, sleeping beauty. You been out for a while.”

“Shut up, stop fucking screaming!”

“Oh, you want to fight me? That’s cute.”

“Come on, you can take a hit better than that, can’t you?”

“Fuck, stay down, would you?”

“Don’t squirm so much, you’re going to hurt yourself and piss me off.”

“You’ve got five seconds to get down on the ground again, or I’ll shoot.”

“You need both legs to run, why don’t I break one?”

“See, if you’d cooperated, I wouldn’t have had to hurt you.”

“Easy, sweetheart. The barrel of the gun is cold, isn’t it?”

“Open your mouth before I choke you with the gag, instead.”

“Can’t see a thing, can you?”

“Well, look who finally came around. Don’t bother looking around, you have no idea where we are.”

“Such a pretty face, it’d be a shame to mess it up.”

“I think you look pretty cute with a bloody lip. Don’t make me do it again.”

“I’m prepared to keep you as long as I need to. Until I get what I want, you’re mine.”

“Listen, I’m what stands between you and death, so I suggest you give me some fuckin’ respect.”

“No one’s gonna came save you.”

“I’ve been watching you for a while. This was almost easy.”

“What’s a pretty thing like you doing out here by yourself?”

tell me a magical story!

When the witch says “I can make you this spell, but it will cost you your name,” she doesn’t hesitate.

Instead, she says “Which name?”

And the witch smiles. “Most aren’t so clever as to ask. For that, I’ll let you choose which of your names you give me.”

“My child, my child,” says her mother when she brought home the spell, when she heals the little sister who was close to death. “What did you give up for this?”

“Nothing I didn’t choose to give.”

"copycat” still really bothers me

i’m sure i’m not the first person to notice this but i’m rewatching the show and the episode “copycat” just gets me so annoyed and irritated because of how adrien was written in that episode. this is probably the episode where we have the most blatant, explicit evidence of one of adrien’s flaws (i.e. his jealousy) and he is at no point forced to be held accountable for his actions.

adrien quite literally causes an akuma because of his jealousy. but he is not forced to apologize to theo for lying about his relationship with ladybug, he’s not forced to apologize to ladybug for lying about said relationship without her consent, and adrien himself is not allowed time in the episode to acknowledge his jealousy, find fault in it, and learn from his mistake.

adrien as a character already has this annoying habit of being presented as the “perfect boy” who very rarely makes mistakes and is idolized for it. not just by marinette. by pretty much everyone. “jackady” had this really strange scene where gabriel and ladybug were staring at adrien’s modeling shots and gushing about how “flawless” and “perfect” he is. and most of adrien’s arguably negative qualities (e.g. his occassional inability to take things seriously in battle, his naivete, his occasional impulsiveness as chat noir, etc.) are often presented in ways that either make us sympathize with his behavior or find it endearing.

“copycat” is probably one of the only (if not the only) episodes where adrien is very clearly doing something wrong. he’s angry that theo likes ladybug so much so he lies about his relationship with ladybug and tells theo they’re a thing so that he can back off and chat noir can have ladybug all to himself.

the problem is that the show doesn’t call out adrien for this jealousy. about the only time it does is when plagg makes a dig at him right when adrien realizes who the akuma is.

and despite this, adrien merely rolls his eyes at plagg and scoffs at the comment as if it’s a joke. that was the perfect opportunity for adrien to take just a few seconds to say “you’re right. i should’ve never lied and let myself get jealous. that was wrong of me.”

about the best we can get is when chat noir acknowledges that he was the one who caused the akuma so he’s the one who has to go and get himself out of it. but at no point does he tell ladybug why this happened (especially because it involves her) and at no point does he vocalize the mistake he made, i.e. the fact that he let his jealousy take over.

then this is where the episode really starts to bother me

he calls out ladybug for not showing up to the statue unveiling. they actually make chat noir take time in the middle of his screw up to basically tell ladybug “well maybe you’d know what’s going on if you showed up this morning.” ladybug had done nothing wrong in regards to this akuma. we’re dealing with her phone stealing and her bad time management on the side, but this has nothing to do with the akuma. if anyone’s mistakes should be being highlighted here, it’s adrien’s.

but the episode continues to just let adrien get away with the fact that he lied. ladybug praises chat noir for his honesty and for the fact that he’s never lied to ladybug about anything (hello, irony) and normally this would be a pretty good moment for chat noir to at least look guilty. but instead he merely thanks her for the compliment and continues fighting anyway.

and then it gets even worse because the one who apologizes at the end of the episode is ladybug!! she apologizes to theo for not showing up to the unveiling! which, fine ok, but where was adrien’s apology? where was his opportunity to explain to ladybug that he messed up for lying about their relationship, causing this akuma, and putting ladybug in danger?

it’s replaced with chat noir’s angst about his crush not being returned.

we feel bad for him at the end of this episode because his “crush was crushed.” let alone that he let his jealousy get the better of him and lied to a stranger about ladybug and his relationship behind her back. we end the episode feeling sympathy for chat noir because ladybug doesn’t feel the same way for him. mr. perfect finally has an episode where he screws up and the show does not allow him to take sufficient responsibility for it and own up to his mistake.

and it further annoys me that this happened because anytime marinette messes up, she almost always apologizes. when she didn’t listen to chloe and caused her to be akumatized? she apologized to her for not listening to her. when she yelled at lila and caused her to be akumatized because of her own jealousy? she apologized to lila for being so mean to her. marinette is continuously asked to own up to her mistakes and apologize for them (as she should) meanwhile the one time adrien screws up, he gets let off for it.

idk man, it just gets me upset that adrien got it so easy in this episode. he should’ve apologized to theo. he should’ve told ladybug the truth. he should’ve owned up to the fact that his jealousy was totally unwarranted.

When I look at you, I swear I see a city full of beautiful bright lights and opportunities. I see so much life behind your eyes that I almost want to live, just to see where your streets will take me. Like cities often do you have a past, but you carry it as if it has no weight and I can’t help but admire how you do that.
But when you look at me I can’t help but wonder if you see what I do. An old worn down town, the lights on its one diner left slowly flickering out. Do you see the abandonment? Can you tell how many people have come just to leave? Ran through me, straight to another destination, not bothering to see what I can offer? Do you see that despite how much I try and conceal it, can you see that I’m just a deserted town that others pass through just to get to someplace better?
—  v.m // what do you see in me?
10

I go back and I watch and I was like, “Oh, yeah, now I can see it. That makes sense to me.” Honestly, it just didn’t even enter into my head. But then you get the response and you go back and you’re like, “Yeah, I can see where that came from.” It doesn’t bother me at all. I think it’s great, because what really makes me feel good is that they can see the characters are working on more than one level. — Katie McGrath

the spy au that @philosophium ordered !!

Andrew slips through a slit in the crowd, brushing through the sleek trains of expensive gowns, rich wool suits jackets catching on his own. He’s on his second flute of champagne, and the tartness keeps him focused. His attention is on the flavour and the rim of the glass and the warp of faces through it. His earpiece crackles and whispers.

He can see his mark on the opposite side of the room, surrounded by servers and liars and pretty things. One of them is all three, Andrew can tell: a waiter’s vest, a seam of over-applied foundation, and bright blue eyes.

He’s distracting, flighty, a rubber band pulled all the way back. He looks like the memory of a case file, and a name occurs to Andrew one second before Kevin hisses it into his ear.

“It’s fuckin’ Charlie Pilot. Don’t engage, Minyard, we’re not here for him.”

Andrew doesn’t make any effort to reply, just takes another pull of champagne. He’s not really watching the troupes of entertainers or the clockwork security or the velvet and silk blooming under bowing chandeliers. He’s not even watching the man he’s either going to rob or kill, who’s laughing and weedy, red in the face from the alcohol. He’s stuck on Pilot –  next to his target, holding a heavily stocked tray of appetizers, his expression pleasant and empty.

He’ll be an irritant to what should be a straightforward plan, if he keeps hovering. Andrew takes a loaded step forward and the voice in his ear complains.

“Don’t even think about moving in until Pilot leaves. He’s probably doing reconnaissance for Matt. I bet he doesn’t even know about the file.”

Andrew watches Pilot’s face tick, the way he blinks like he’s on a timer, the way he’s worrying the inside of his cheek with his teeth.

“I bet he does,” Andrew murmurs, and he drains the last of the champagne. He plucks his tie pin away from the fabric and drops it in the empty glass, leaving it on a passing tray.

“What— what the fuck Minyard, we’ve lost visuals. Do you hear me? Andrew? Andrew?”

Andrew weaves through the rest of the golden crowd, ignoring the buzz of Kevin’s reprimands in his ear. He finds a new spot on the outskirts of the crowd where Pilot has installed himself.

“Do you know how fucking expensive those cameras are? You’re such a piece of shit operative,” Kevin says. “When you inevitably come back without the intelligence and without our equipment, it’s costing us to keep you around, do you realize that?”

Andrew’s more focused on the way Pilot’s shoulders are turning to face him, the slim line of his tailored pants, that eyelash-thick smudge of un-blended make up.

“Shrimp?” Pilot offers, swaying the tray in his direction.

“No,” Andrew says, but he stays uncomfortably near, feeling along the edges of his boundaries without finding any seams. Pilot’s composure is still and reserved as a frost-ravaged garden.

“Have a good evening then,” Pilot says graciously, turning back towards the host that Andrew should be sizing up but hasn’t even looked at. He glances at him for a sliver of a moment, finds himself uninterested, and looks back at Pilot.

Andrew catches him suddenly by the arm, but relaxes his grip just as quickly, caught off guard by his own impulsivity. His own disguise is just an invitation and sun bleached hair; he isn’t playing a character like Pilot is. He’s neutral for a living, but Pilot is a new weight on his scale, unbalancing him so that he can’t quite settle at zero.

When their eyes meet, the polite, curious waiter snips out of existence. Charlie Pilot stares at Andrew, with eyes like the bluest part of a fire.

“There’s a conflict of interest,” he tells Andrew calmly. “And your interest will lose.”

“I’m not interested in anything,” Andrew says broadly.

“Hm,” Pilot says, unconvinced. “You’re lying.”

“I don’t lie,” Andrew says. He’s always saying it; it’s a novelty that employers enjoy and enemies challenge, amused.

Pilot raises his jaw, mouth twitching. “No, you wouldn’t, would you.” His eyes flicker to the side of Andrew’s face, where Kevin is breathing furiously through his earpiece, then down to the grip he still has on his forearm. He lowers his tray down until the rough edge is pressed to the root of Andrew’s hand threateningly. “You’ll want to let me go, Andrew, or you’re going to end up needing a longer armband.”

Andrew feels genuine surprise squeeze his fingers around Pilot’s wrist. He hadn’t noticed the black fabric extending a whiff beyond his crisp white sleeve. He lets go, and Pilot tucks his shoulders back, satisfied. His hair is too dark to match his freckles, Andrew notes quietly. It is, perhaps, what the make up was meant to cover up.

“You are not going to win, Charlie,” Andrew says. “We’re the more capable team.”

Pilot smiles indulgently. “‘Charlie’,” he repeats, mouth curling around the name. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been Charlie Pilot.” He jostles his tray from one hand to another, and loosens his collar with his freed hand. “And I don’t think you understand how much farther ahead we are than you. If you’re looking for information, we already have it. If you’re trying to find the connections this place has to the Yakuza, we’re the ones undoing them.”

“Who’s we? I don’t remember seeing anything about loyalty in your case file. You’re just a runner.”

Pilot looks briefly bothered by this, and he juts his chin again. “I’m loyal to whoever’s doing the work that needs to be done.”

“That doesn’t answer my question. Who are you?”

He looks down, at Andrew’s empty hands, at the hip where he’s hiding his gun. His expression is warped and sad when he looks up, like the real filling in his strange costume is finally oozing out.

“You can call me Neil,” he says, and drops the whole tray of food so that it clatters and rolls into the host’s feet. There are gasps and yelps, partygoers dodging and stooping to catch the runaway platter. Andrew looks impulsively down to track its progress, and when he looks sharply back up into the knot of activity, Neil is gone. Of course he is.

He doesn’t have time to think about where he might have disappeared to, just steps neatly into the opportunity that’s been afforded to him. He uses the distraction as a doorway directly into the offices behind the coddled host.

Kevin is asking repeatedly for updates, and Andrew fishes the earpiece out and tucks it into his breast pocket. He likes to be alone for this part, when the most important door closes behind him and everything makes as much sense as a ticking clock.

He keeps thinking of Neil’s reaction to ‘runner’, of the vulnerability trussed up in his persona. He finds himself sick to his stomach wanting to know what his real hair colour is.

He tries every door in the polished row of them, finding all of them locked. He picks the lock on the door farthest from the burble of the ballroom behind him, and cracks into what looks like a room built for business arrangements and drinking. There’s a snifter next to a half dozen tumblers on a cart along the wall, and extensive cabinets under the desk.

He feels his way along the underside of the desk, and opens each drawer, idealistically left unlocked and unprotected. He finds useless information and shady information and heaps of anonymous, unlabeled tapes.

He finds the safe in the floor, facing up patiently under a wingback chair and a panel of floorboard. He stoops so that he’s face to face with it, shrugs his jacket off like a dead skin onto the floor, and puts the heart of a stethoscope to the face of the safe.

He’s sweating, spread out surreptitiously on the floor, but the safe is flimsy. It cracks in under an hour, the party wilting two rooms over, pressure taking him by the hair. Andrew flicks the door open impatiently, unwinding the stethoscope from around his neck.

It’s filled top to bottom with paper, and he reaches for the first file, carding his fingers through the spill of sheets.

Got you, it says. Over and over again, in unassuming little typescript. And on the next page, got you.

Andrew’s fingers flex. The next file is the same, and the next. A million taunting, twirling repetitions: got you. Got this. Got here first.

The safe was already cracked. The list of names was already stolen. Neil’s face winks and swarms when he closes his eyes, furious. If you’re looking for information, we already have it.

He roots around for the bud in his pocket and pops it back into his ear. He leans back, splayed away from the spill from the safe, the stacks of failure. He enunciates clearly into the microphone sewn into his collar.

“We have to find Neil.”

I will then just drive into the desert. I have no plan past this.”

What I Learned From University

FIRST YEAR

  • Everyone is super friendly, especially in the first few weeks → Introduce yourself to the people sitting near you for the first few weeks of lectures. Everyone is looking for a friend or at least someone to talk to!!
  • If you commute, make that time productive → My bus ride was an hour there and back each day. It sucks but I would try to be productive for at least half of the commute. I have a post about being productive on public transport here.
  • On that note, stay on campus as long as possible each day → As soon as I got back home I would procrastinate every little thing. Stay in an already productive environment for as long as possible.
  • Maybe don’t buy your textbooks used → I thought I was being smart by buying used textbooks (most schools will have a buy and sell facebook page for textbooks). I ended up having to pay for access codes in order to do my online homework – access codes that cost ~$70 separately and came included with new textbooks anyways. Email your prof or talk to someone who has recently taken the class to find out if you need an access code. If you do, your best bet is to buy a new version of the textbook (unless you can get a seriously cheap used textbook).
  • Print off your timetable and find all of your classes before the first day → This helped me so much! I found exactly where all my classes were before the first day of class. I wrote down little tricks to help me remember where everything was (i.e. my calc lecture is in the arts and science building which is also where the only subway on campus is).
  • Don’t knock living at home to save money → If you’re lucky enough to have a college or university close to home at least consider living at home. Getting your own place or living in dorms is expensive. (But if you have to find off campus housing on your own, don’t leave it too late or you might not find a place)
  • Figure out the best way to take notes for each class → You have to customize the way you study for each class, all depending on the prof and the content. I hand-wrote notes for some classes (chem, calc, and physics), but not others (psych and bio). If you’re writing by hand you can always just annotate your textbook notes or lecture slides (if they’re posted before class). If you fall behind while taking notes, just leave a gap and check out a friend’s notes after class.
  • Adjust your expectations → Don’t expect to get straight A’s, like you might have in high school. You can strive for straight A’s but be realistic as time goes on. For classes I struggled with, I expected to be near the class average. If I was a lot lower than the class average then I would know to invest more time.
  • Make time for physical activity → If we’re being honest I hardly exercised during uni. Go for at least a half hour walk each day and try to start a physical activity routine. Get a friend and join a sports team, go to a fitness class, or commit to some form of a daily workout with them! You’ll feel bad bailing on someone else, plus working out is more fun with other people.
  • Review content throughout the semester → Reviewing little bits of content will save you a massive content review right before finals! Look through old notes while you wait for your daily coffee or take 15 minutes to watch some khan academy videos on stuff you learned in the first month of classes.
  • Think seriously about how much you can handle → Don’t take on too many responsibilities at once and consider all of your options! I worked weekends and some week nights throughout the school year. Looking back I should have worked less because my stress levels were way too high. Also, quite a few people I talked to took 4 classes instead of 5, for their first semester of university. I don’t think I would have done it, in the end, but it’s always something to consider.
  • Have fun but be responsible at parties → Always go to parties with people you trust!! If you didn’t do much partying/drinking during high school (like me), remember to pace yourself when drinking! Eat before you go out and have some water between each drink, till you find your limit. Don’t let yourself be peer-pressured into anything but also don’t be afraid to have fun! And check out if your uni has a safe walk program (someone will come and walk you back to your dorm or your car if you feel unsafe or nervous for any reason)
  • When procrastination hits, aim to be productive in some way → The only reason my biology mark was so high was because I would study biology whenever I got sick of studying for physics and calculus. If you know you need to study but just can’t do it, start by being productive in some other way – study a subject you do like, do your laundry, organize your study area, etc. Get your brain to start thinking productively.
  • Labs are difficult so be prepared → I had so many labs first year. Some tips: eat and hydrate before labs, never assume you can finish your prelab last minute, be nice to your lab partner, always remember lab safety (don’t be the person trying to wear shorts in the lab, TAs will not hesitate to kick you out), don’t rush through an experiment but be efficient, and ask for help (even if you feel like you’re bothering your TA).
  • Please go to bed early. Sleep affects everything → I was so dumb and would never go to bed early even though I had to be up at 6 am almost every day to catch the bus. Lack of sleep will catch up to you eventually!! Also, all nighters are not necessary, unless you make them necessary. I prioritized and never had to stay awake too late. And never pull an all nighter the night before an exam (you’re better off getting sleep and resting your brain).
  • Bring a water bottle everywhere → Buy a decent water bottle and always carry it with you. Even though my uni is small there are still tons of spots around campus where I can refill my water bottle!! Stay hydrated my friends!
  • A practice problem a day keeps the F away → This saying probably works best for science classes, but I guess a reading a day will get you somewhere too. Do something for every class each day, even if it’s just a practice problem or a quick reading. Develop a routine!
  • You’ll have lots of midterms → I was under the impression that midterms happened just once a semester (I thought I would have one week where I had a midterm for each class). That was not my reality. I had 2 or 3 midterms for each of my classes scattered throughout the semester. Study really hard for your first set of midterms till you get used to the high expectations!
  • Don’t worry about what other people are doing or thinking → This is mostly in regards to social media. I was bummed when I looked back on my first year of university, because I felt like I hadn’t done anything fun compared to other people. You only see the image that other people want you to see. You don’t know how hard someone worked or how hard they didn’t work. Just focus on you and how you can affect positive results in your life.
  • Other people literally don’t care about your appearance → My friend’s little sister visited campus and asked us “Why is everyone wearing sweatpants?” People literally don’t care. Dress nice and put lots of makeup on one day, because you feel like it, and wear sweats the next day.
  • Start essays and reports as soon as possible → You never know what might come up so be prepared for the worst! Outline your essay or graph your data as soon as you can.
  • Eat healthy and do meal prep → You can eat healthy during university! Set aside a couple of nights each week to do meal prep. Cook food in bulk to save money and don’t eat out too much. Try to have at least 1 serving of fruits or veggies with each meal or snack you eat!
  • Find a good study spot on campus → Explore your campus and figure out your favourite places to study. I had a couple of spots where I would always meet my friends to study and quiet spots where no one would bother me. Studying outside or in an area with natural light is always good.
  • Don’t be afraid to talk to your profs and TAs → This is the number one thing I’m going to try to do more of in my second year. TAs are chill to talk to and they can tell you tons of useful information on what upper year classes are like, which professors are good, why they chose to go to grad school, etc. If you’re struggling in lectures or labs, talk to your prof or TA! Make an appointment and be sure you can tell them exactly which concepts you’re struggling with or at least where you got lost. One of my profs told us he just waits hopefully during office hours for someone to come in. (Also profs love it if you ask them about their research or any topics they seem passionate about during lectures.)
  • Explore all the resources your university has to offer → My university has a program that is basically people bringing their dogs around for students to pet, in order to relieve stress. It actually works and gave me something to look forward to! Just be aware of your options so that if something in your life changes you know where you can go to ask for help.
  • Get a planner and utilize it → There’s no excuse not to have a planner of some sort. Use your phone, get a bullet journal, or buy a cheap planner. Have somewhere where you can record important deadlines and make to do lists. I also recommend back planning all of your studying at the beginning of the semester. Write down your midterms and finals dates and write down how much you’re going to study each day leading up to the exam. This way you’ll be able to look ahead at each month and figure out what needs to be done (i.e. getting an essay done early because the due date falls during a busy week of midterms)

This post ended up being a lot longer than I expected whoops. Take the things I said into consideration but remember that everyone’s experience will be different. Good luck to everyone heading to university!

My Other Posts:

It always really bothers me when I see “cute” dog pictures on here where the dogs are actually distressed or owners are promoting things that can cause reactivity.

Examples:

Pictures of dogs and babies together.

Yeah, sometimes there are some cute ones, but then you see pictures like this one.

The dog isn’t happy about this situation. Ears back, forehead wrinkled, showing the whites of its eyes, leaning away.

This isn’t exactly cute because the dog is not wanting to be in this situation. At all. I wouldn’t even let this situation happen if I had a baby. No matter how good a dog is with things like having its jowls lifted, babies aren’t gentle because they can’t be. They don’t have the motor control to be gentile. Also, the baby is a relatively new addition to the household that the dog doesn’t know well and can often be uncomfortable with in the first place because it’s loud and strange. Having a baby do this to a dog just isn’t safe. If the dog gets to a point where they are extremely uncomfortable, they will try biting after giving warning signals like this and growling. If you ignore that a dog is uncomfortable at this stage, it can escalate.

Another set of pictures where uncomfortable body language is even more obvious:

Lip licking, showing eye whites, ears back, tense body posture, looking away. This is really scary to me. This dog is having its warning signs be completely ignored, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it tried biting soon in order to be more obvious it wants the situation to stop.

And no, dogs that bite in this situation aren’t “bad”. Biting is an extreme reaction to say “STOP”. Dogs start with body language cues saying they’re uncomfortable, then if the thing they’re uncomfortable with continues they will growl, but only if they haven’t been punished for growling (it’s a huge problem to punish growling because then the dog may decide not to use that warning signal, and growling is a super obvious warning signal that many people recognize, so it can be dangerous to get rid of). Then, if the thing they’re uncomfortable with still continues, they’ll bite. It’s all how dogs communicate. The body language, the growling, the biting. This is how dogs communicate.

Pictures where people have cut holes in their fence so the dog can look out.

Having dogs be able to do this can cause barrier frustration. If there’s a person or a dog or a squirrel, or really anything your dog may want on the other side of the fence, the dog will likely become frustrated that they can’t get to it.

Barrier frustration can lead to severe reactivity. It’d start with the dog barking and making a fuss about something on the other side of the fence. Then, maybe when you’re on a walk and they see a person on the other side of the street and start barking and lunging.

This type of behaviour where a dog is that overexcited can lead to redirection as aggressive behaviour. Ever hear about a “bite out of the blue” where a dog jumps a fence and bites the first person they come across? That started as barrier frustration, then escalated to being so wound up that when the dog finally tried jumping the fence they redirected all of that energy into aggression and attacked the person that, usually, they were running back and forth barking at on the other side of the fence.

Basically, learning about canine behaviour has made it hard to really enjoy a lot of photosets of dogs because, whether it’s one of the above examples or something else, usually there’s some body language in there somewhere that shows a dog is very stressed or it involves a bad idea that could result in serious reactivity issues.

Hey mom, do you have any tips for dealing with sinus pressure and the related face/headaches? I have allergies, and I also tend to get pressure in my face whenever I get a cold or flu or stress or if the wind is blowing or there are stars in the sky, just basically always. Short of decapitation, I've got no idea how to handle this chronic nonsense.

Considering I just sneezed and went temporarily blind from the pressure build up in my skull, same. I suffer from severe chronic rhinitis as well as a pretty much permanent case of sinusitis they can’t cure, we found it when they did a CT scan for my dental exam and my dentist went “omg your sinuses!”. Which is always what you want to hear when your head is trapped in a rotating dome of uranium.

I’m generally in pain 90% of the time from the pressure this causes. So I feel you on the whole face headache thing <3

Not a lot of things help me I’m afraid, but steam facial baths have given me some relief when the pressure is caused by sinusitis (and sometimes allergies, but mostly the sinuses) Some people will swear blind that dropping eucalyptus oil in the water helps but honestly all that does is make my eyes water and most of the menthol solutions you can buy pre-blended don’t actually help you breathe more easily, it just makes your airways think they’re not inflamed (due to the numbing agents menthol possesses) so all you get is a feeling of relief, which is why things like those vicks inhalers are bullshit.

The majority of the time it’s heat + steam that actually helps the most.

You can also, if you have the facilities just steam up your bathroom, which is what my parents do for my brother (who has asthma and CF) when he has a bad cold, if sitting with your head craned over a bowl of boiling water is not feasible for you.

Things like sudafed can also offer temporary relief, but my doctor hates it with a passion because of what it can do to your blood pressure. Depending on where you are in the world, you’re not even getting the real sudafed otc because it’s been used to cut meth, so you wind up needing a prescription for the real stuff which again is only for temporary relief and not recommended for prolonged use.

If it’s more caused from allergies, my allergist recommended a nasal spray called Flonase which you can buy otc. You could also try a saline spray.

I’m actually supposed to start using a neti pot on the regular as per his instructions, but I’m really phobic of things going up my nose (bad childhood memory) so I’ve yet to do it, so who knows, it may be the cure for all my ailments. Just always make sure you don’t use plain tap water. Boil it first to kill anything that regular filtration might not have taken care of. Then let it cool. I’d like to say “obviously” but according to my friend who is an ER nurse it is apparently not so obvious. You can buy little kits with saline packets in them too.

You might also want to make sure you’re getting enough fluids, especially if you take an antihistmaine on the regular, like I do. They actually dry out the mucous membrane too well if you’re on them for prolonged periods of time (mine have actually started to affect my menstrual cycle, so that’s a thing) and can start to make the problem worse, so making sure you’ve got enough fluid intake can be really beneficial. If I’m having a particularly bad day I’ll drink hot lemon water rather than cold. It might not be as refreshing feeling, especially in the summer, but it helps my airways not hate me quite as much.

You may also want to look into an air purifier (the $40 ones work just as well as the $200 ones provided you keep them clean) and keep it running 24/7 in the room where you spend the most time. If you’ve got central air, maybe check and see the last time the vents were cleaned, as that can hugely impact your quality of air. If you do have central air and you are the one in control of it, make sure you change the filter on the duct one a month. Don’t bother with the expensive filters. The $2 cheap pleated ones work just as well as the $30+ one, just make sure you change it out every month. We recently had our house air ducts cleaned and my dust allergy is a lot better.

Also check the rest of your environment, is it clean or dusty? Are you at risk from mold spores? Does outside pollution make it worse? I love my vogmask, it’s made cleaning so much easier to deal with, not to mention helping to protect me from the pollen that wants me dead (fuck you too birch trees).

A humidifier might also be beneficial for you too, but again, don’t add anything into the water, I see so many posts saying things like “just add a few drops of XYZ into your humidifier to clarify the air” and I always want to scream because not only are you potentially wrecking the machine, but also quite possibly irritating your nose/lungs more because it’s one more thing for your body to try and deal with processing. So again, plain water is fine.

If I’ve suggested things you’ve already tried to little or no avail, then I offer you my sympathy and solidarity. Cause fuck this shit.

Steph. There's a post going around arguing that our John doesn't love Sherlock but despises him (it's not an anti johnlock post tho) and it made me ridiculously sad. Can you give some examples of John loving Sherlock? :( It really bothered me

Yeah, Nonny, I saw that one too. While I can understand where the argument lies, Uhhhh I just don’t see it the way they do. I’ve written a similar meta before, but I never broke it down before. This isn’t all of them, just a short little list…for instance:

  • FIRST OF ALL: JOHN’S BLOG. If I didn’t know that it was official, I would have thought it was a fan-site. It’s terribly romantic and John essentially fawns over Sherlock in almost every entry. Read especially the entries done during the hiatus. They’re… just… JOHN, PLEASE.
  • Martin’s acting. Just, every time John is around Sherlock, his face does 300 different emotions, but the most blatant is lust / adoration / incredulity.
  • Anytime the show is in John’s POV, it’s just… Sherlock is this ethereal being that John “can look but not touch”.
  • THE FUCKING PILOT. Just… The whole Pilot. John is literally one step away from jumping Sherlock in a back alley. And the really gay rooftop music. Just. Listen to that and be amazed at how gay that is. That’s ALL from John’s POV. AND John had this look on his face:
  • ASIP:
    • John had a limp until Sherlock came into his life and gave it new meaning.
    • John has trust issues – Mycroft confirms this and says John doesn’t trust easily – yet for some reason he was okay with Sherlock. “And the madman himself? He’s fascinating.”
    • He hits on Sherlock the first night. Granted this isn’t a sign of love, but dear god John had no idea that one little thing and rejection would start his endless pining.
    • Laughing against the wall together, and in awe at Sherlock curing his limp.
    • The eye sex. Good god, the eye sex.
    • He stands up to Mycroft DEFENDING Sherlock and he has no idea who Mycroft is or what he’s capable of.
    • Even though he didn’t know Sherlock that long, he ran after Sherlock when the phone pinged.
    • He killed a man for Sherlock after knowing him for only about 24 hours, and had no guilt about it.
  • TBB
    • His PIN is “SHER”. Like at this point he’s only known Sherlock for a couple months and he already changed his PIN to “SHER”???? COME ON, JOHN, PLEASE.
    • He goes after Sherlock rather than protect Soo Lin, because he is worried Sherlock will hurt himself.
    • Spends his whole date with Sarah thinking about and talking to Sherlock. He constantly checks over his shoulder to see Sherlock’s reactions to literally everything.
    • And this was all after he just constantly lingers his gaze over Sherlock for the first half of the episode.
    • Eye sex.
  • TGG
    • He has incredible guilt about the blog post that causes the Yard to make fun of Sherlock.
    • “I thought you would have been flattered”. Literally John is hurt that Sherlock seemingly doesn’t like his blog. They had a fucking DOMESTIC because of a BLOG POST and John’s hurt feelings. Hashtag MARRIED.
    • John races back to Baker Street from Sarah’s AFTER SHE’S SUGGESTIVE WITH HIM just to make sure Sherlock is okay.
    • John’s jealousy towards Jim flirting with Sherlock.
    • *sighs* EYE SEX.
    • John was willing to kill The Golem for Sherlock.
    • John, strapped to a bomb vest, took an opening and grappled and held on tight to Moriarty, told Sherlock to run. Essentially, he was willing to sacrifice his body to a slurry of gunfire and an explosion if only Sherlock would be safe from Moriarty.
    • “People would talk.” Why does that concern you so much, John.
    • Then, John was willing to die with Sherlock, without hesitation. They shared one single look and it was done.
  • ASiB
    • John’s jealousy throughout the entire episode; he wouldn’t be jealous if there wasn’t some latent pining.
    • MORE eye sex and toffee eyes, or John looking like a kicked puppy for half the episode because he is sad that Irene seems to have taken his place.
    • John essentially gives up dating in this episode.
    • John goes on a case for Sherlock because Sherlock was too lazy to go on his own.
    • John checking out Sherlock in a sheet.
    • Followed by them being silly.
    • The unnecessary tackle.
    • John had a date the night that Irene drugged Sherlock, but John stayed home to take care of Sherlock instead. Oh and the bum pat. JOHN, PLEASE.
    • John’s concern about Sherlock’s danger night has him teaming up with both Mrs Hudson and Mycroft.
    • John decided to try to pick up Sherlock again, only to be cock-blocked by Irene.
    • Even though he was with Jeanette, John consistently pays more attention to Sherlock at Christmas, eventually driving Jeanette to call John out on his obsession with Sherlock, naming Sherlock as her “competition”.
    • Irene knows EXACTLY what John likes.
    • John confronts Irene and tells her to tell Sherlock she’s alive, because he hates seeing Sherlock upset; he thinks Sherlock was grieving about her, and not over his confused feelings John.
    • Irene essentially tells John HE LOVES SHERLOCK. She compares herself to him, AND JOHN DOESN’T DENY IT, but silently acknowledges that yes, he and Sherlock are a couple.
    • John wants to talk about what happened at Battersea, but Sherlock denies him because Sherlock’s scared of his own feelings and thinks he’s protecting John from Moriarty by keeping him at arm’s length.
    • John thinks Sherlock would be hurt to discover that Irene is for-real dead this time, so he chooses to lie, because John doesn’t want Sherlock to go into a sad fit again. John chose the “kinder” option, and then gives Sherlock what he wants when he asks for the phone even though it is not allowed.
  • THOB
    • John goes on a holiday with Sherlock. Just… they go on a holiday. There’s no argument about it, just… they go.
    • John doesn’t deny that he and Sherlock are together when the Innkeeper assumes they are together, rather he deflects, because it’s too close to the truth.
    • John pulls rank to show off to Sherlock for a change.
    • The cheekbones and the coat collar, essentially revealing that he stares at Sherlock all the time.
    • John forgives Sherlock for his brashness, experimentation, and ignorance of John.
  • TRF
    • Eye sex.
    • Another “people will talk” comment when they hold hands, and THEN John still holds onto Sherlock’s sleeve while Sherlock is babbling on.
    • John’s anger at both Kitty and Jim, defending Sherlock’s honour.
    • The rooftop exchange between the two and John’s unwavering faith in Sherlock (“I know you for real”).
    • John’s complete breakdown at seeing Sherlock dead.
    • The graveyard. Fuck.
    • Seriously, THE GRAVEYARD IS THE MOST BLATANT SCENE IN S2.
  • MHR
  • TEH
    • John physically goes to Baker St. to “move on”. John couldn’t, in 2 years, bring himself to stay at Baker Street because it reminded him too much of Sherlock. Mrs Hudson calls him out on how he was “after” and John doesn’t say anything. Then he is angry about the comment that they were a couple because THEY WEREN’T. He blames himself for Sherlock’s death.
    • To “move on”, John jumps into a relationship to get over Sherlock believing that his miracle would never come, only to have Sherlock come back at the worst moment and Mary manipulate John into a proposal.
    • Donde Estas, Yolanda? This song pretty much is John’s heart speaking.Actually, most of the music selection is really very “John” and his inner turmoil of trying to understand if he should try to make a move on Sherlock. Music in Sherlock is always important; it’s always projecting the feelings of either John or Sherlock on a subtextual level.
    • More eye sex.
    • John returning to Baker Street on his own, before the bonfire, dressed in his old outfit… It’s the only time in the whole episode he dresses like “pre-S3” John"… And his oscillation on the pavement and all that.
    • And John’s RETURNS to 221b a second time. Because he can’t stay away.
    • I know it doesn’t look like it, but John forgave Sherlock.
    • “I was hooked. He’s like a drug.” JOHN, PLEASE.
    • #SherlockLives means #JohnWatsonLives. JOHN H. WATSON, PLEASE.
  • TSo3
    • SURPRISE! More eye sex and toffee eyes.
    • Stag night, pretty much all of it. It’s clear John is trying to loosen Sherlock up to make him more receptive to John’s advances. John tries to hit on Sherlock one more time before the marriage, but Sherlock was too drunk to understand what was happening. John assumes, with finality, that Sherlock doesn’t want him that way.
    • The obviously staged tumble forward to grab at Sherlock’s knee, followed by, “I don’t mind” and an indifferent shrug.
    • “I’m there if you want it.”
    • John’s first reaction to Sherlock’s adorable confusion after the best man speech was to hug Sherlock; he loves him so much that he is very moved by Sherlock’s admission to the whole of the room to how much John means to Sherlock. John even cried beforehand, and you can just SEE his FUCKING FACE glow every time he looks at Sherlock.
    • John ALSO grabs and holds Sherlock’s neck not once but twice in this episode.
    • John cluing in at the end of the episode that Sherlock does indeed feel something more for John when they share a look, and not being able to deal with his mistake, so he no-homo’d out of there because it hurt too much.
  • HLV
    • Only a month into their marriage, John is having wet dreams about Sherlock, and is visibly disappointed when Sherlock is not the one at the door.
    • John contacts Mycroft when Sherlock is overdosed.
    • Only to kick him out shortly after because he is upsetting Sherlock.
    • He tries to make Sherlock laugh and succeeds.
    • John’s jealousy once again, this time over Janine.
    • John’s longing looks to Sherlock.
    • John’s subtle “I want to come, too” when Sherlock mentions the case.
    • When John is searched at the flat, he makes a joke about his dick IN FRONT OF SHERLOCK to another man.
    • John’s immediate reaction to Sherlock being shot.
    • John’s off-screen acceptance to let Sherlock show him the truth about his murderer.
    • Mary knew that John loved Sherlock. It’s the whole reason she needed Sherlock gone, because John was starting to stray.
    • She didn’t want John to name the baby.
    • “John, you are addicted to a certain lifestyle. You’re abnormally attracted to dangerous situations and people.” [x]
    • Not really confirmed, but fandom assumes John left to stay at Baker Street during the 6 months we haven’t seen to care for Sherlock.
    • John’s acceptance at Sherlock’s plan for Appledore, even though it’s Christmas.
    • John not even flinching at the “damsel in distress” line.
    • John begrudgingly allowing himself to be flicked in the face just because Sherlock begged him to.
    • John’s horrified expression when Sherlock kills someone for him.
    • The Tarmac Scene, pretty much the whole thing. It’s set up like Casablanca’s plane scene, and John knows he has to let Sherlock go; he fumbles to find the right words to say to Sherlock. John, though, knew exactly what Sherlock was going to / wanted to say, and I think it hurts him that Sherlock never admitted his feelings.
  • TAB
    • Because this episode takes place entirely in Sherlock’s head, I don’t think we should really include it in this list, but I’m going to anyway, since Sherlock actually picked up on John’s love for him. He knows that John will accept him regardless of his faults if he confessed his love for him. I think this is why S4 doesn’t sit right with me, because it completely diverted from this HUGE revelation that Sherlock had made in TAB.
    • Sherlock understands that John will always choose him, in the end. Again, another thing that makes S4 so OOC.
    • Also something that should be noted, running on the assumption that the modern scenes may possibly be real, John is concerned about the overdose and the fact that it could kill Sherlock.
    • Mycroft’s plea to John signifies that Myc knows about how much John cares for Sherlock.

And these are a crapshoot, because the whole series did a 180˚ with the narrative and John’s character. I’m so angry because I don’t believe for one second John would choose Mary over Sherlock. Anyway, here goes:

Granted, it gets less and less obvious in S3 and S4; S3 because I believe that we are in Sherlock’s POV and he perceives his relationship with John differently, and in S4 because I believe that S4 is a false narrative and it literally took great pains to keep them separated for some stupid reason.

Finally, I’ve also written about why John loves Sherlock in past posts, because of similar discourse:

I hope all of these help you feel better, Nonny, and please, everyone, I most likely will have missed many-a-point, so please add to them – I study Sherlock’s character more than John’s, so I have a harder time seeing John’s cues!

I have five rules. Memorize them. Rule number one, don’t bother sucking up. I already hate you. That’s not gonna change. Trauma protocol, phone lists, pagers. Nurses will page you, you answer every page at a run. A run, that’s rule number two. Your first shift starts now and lasts forty-eight hours. You’re interns, grunts, nobodies, bottom of the surgical food chain, you run labs, write orders, work every second night till you drop and don’t complain! On call rooms. Attendings hog them, sleep when you can, where you can, which brings me to rule number three, if I’m sleeping, don’t wake me, unless your patient is actually dying. Rule number four, the dying patient better not be dead when I get there. Not only would you have killed someone, you would have also woke me for no good reason, we clear? Rule number five. When I move, you move. Grey’s Anatomy: A Hard Day’s Night

ORGANIZING YOUR GRIMOIRE (tips from a neat freak virgo)

okay i’ve been meaning to make this post for awhile bc i’ve seen some great ideas for grimoire organization, and i want to share the way i’m keeping track of all the pages in mine without worrying about the order in which i write them down

the trick: indexing. this is a technique lifted straight from bullet journaling. in fact, my grimoire has started to take form inside my regular bullet journal, so i’ve added a separate index page specifically for my witch-relevant content. this is cool because it’s like my grimoire is kind of hidden within a mundane exterior 👍🏻

here are the two steps:

1. number your pages as you go, and
2. add each page to your index as you write it

you could go further than this and add indices specifically for each type of content, like an index just for spell pages, an index for tarot pages, etc. - my preference is just to label each entry with a category so that they’re easier to skim. you can also add other signifiers like my asterisks to mark my own original content vs. information gathered from other sources. color coding would also work well here! and when you fill it up, you can either keep a couple pages at one place reserved for indexing, OR just start a new one on the next available page and enter it as the last line of your old index.

the reason i like this system is that it allows me to work in a fixed notebook where i can’t add pages (i really love notebooks), but frees me from my perfectionist fear of having information end up disorganized. it doesn’t bother me if pages on the same topic end up in different parts of the notebook because my index keeps them organized! i’m less likely to put off adding info until i know where it ‘should go’ so ultimately i end up being more productive, too.

i’m sure there are others who have similar setups but i thought some people might find this helpful 💕

Hello opportunity for character development that was completely ignored.

Will I ever get over the number of wasted opportunities in TUE? The answer is no. I will not.

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m not the world’s biggest Vlad fan. I love him as a villain, but the idea of a redemption arc is kinda meh for me. I also won’t lie and say I don’t love the childish banter between Danny and Vlad. It’s one of the reasons I love Vlad as a villain so much. The two of them are entertaining.

Still, I can’t help but feel bothered by this. This could’ve been an eye opening moment for Danny. I’ve brought up other times where he could’ve started learning that the world isn’t black and white. This is one of the biggest, though.

Imagine if that was part of his character arc.

I know I’ve said the strongest message DP has going for it is the narrative about self acceptance. I stick by that. That doesn’t have to be the only message, though. It’s important to accept others as well as yourself.

There are a lot of complex antagonists in this show. Sometimes the antagonists don’t even qualify as villains. Some former antagonists end up becoming friends by the end of the episode.

Learning that a second chance can even help Vlad could’ve changed Danny’s perspective in a lot of ways. He could start questioning when it’s a good idea to give a second chance. How many chances do people deserve? Are there types of people you shouldn’t give a second chance to? When should you be wary and when should you be understanding?

It’s a minor thing compared to a lot of other wasted opportunities in TUE, but it still bugs me.

Story arcs. Character arcs. They can do a lot for you, DP.

These Two.  (1.5k words)

Yuuri and Victor can’t stop thinking bout each other long enough to give the journalists the answers to their questions.

Everybody Loves Me (5k words)

Viktor is the CEO of a powerful company. Yuuri is a worker in a coffee shop. Viktor can’t live without coffee

Collab With Me? (4k words) (WIP)

After Phichit posts a video of Yuuri watching Viktor Nikiforov’s latest video, one thing leads to another and suddenly Viktor’s flying to Detroit to do a collaboration with Yuuri.

Viktor, of course, is excited to get to know and befriend the beautiful vlogger he saw online and quickly became infatuated with. Yuuri’s freaking out because THE Viktor Nikiforov - one of the most successful YouTubers in the world - is talking to him and he has no idea what he’s doing (of course, he’s secretly just as excited as Viktor himself)

aka the YouTube AU where Yuuri’s a cinnamon roll and Viktor loves him for it

When I’m Sixty Four (2k words)

AU. These days, Victor and Yuuri are content living together in the peaceful home they made in St. Petersburg. But even after thirty four years, Victor still manages to surprise Yuuri. And who knew Yuuri still had moves left in him?

(Victuuri Week 2017 Day 8: Valentine’s Day)

I Like You (2k words)

Yuuri’s friends pressure him to confess to his long time crush, Victor. But, Victor beats him to it!

Basically a lot of fluff about them being third years in high school.

When The Tides Turn (3k words)

Victor, despite being a legendary skater and the world’s most eligible bachelor, has had horrible luck in the romance department. Yuuri’s never even been on a date. Chris and Phichit decide to set them up on a blind date in the hopes that luck may finally be in their favor.

Cursed Love (3k words)

“This blood of ours is cursed, Vitya,” Mama rasped, her blue eyes, identical to Victor’s own, pleading for him to understand. “The moment we fall romantically in love with someone, we curse them with death. The moment we realise what joy we have attained with another person, our curse will take them away from us, forever.”

Victor lives with the burden of a family curse over his head, running away from any opportunity to love, fearing that any affection will lead him to the heartbreak that consumed his entire family. But Yuuri Katsuki had captured his attention, his every thought, and Victor has no idea what this warm feeling attached to the mere thought of Yuuri was.

Victuuri Week Day 4: Free for all

Remembrance (3k words)

Victor remembers the confusion, hurt and rejection when he finds the empty hotel room that had once been occupied by an individual bearing the name of Katsuki Yuri hours ago, and said individual was now en route to Japan. He remembers sinking to the carpeted floor in his pajamas before returning to his own room to curl up in his comforter. He remembers Yakov coming over to help him pack with pity evident in his eyes when the check out time had long past and Victor was nowhere to be found. And all Victor could do was lie immobile on the bed with tears he thought would never end. He remembered lecturing his own self mentally, that it was ridiculous to act this way for someone you had only met once, but yet, he could not deny the fact that last night was the first time Victor had felt honestly living, relieved from the burdens and expectations as a renowned and international ice skater. Being with Yuri had felt absolutely right.

or a fic of how a heartbroken Victor had fared since that banquet and how he finally won Yuri’s heart

Ends and Beginnings (3k words)

When Yuuri told Victor he wanted to “end this”, Victor’s heart was broken.

Somewhere I Have Never Travelled (4k words) (WIP)

Victor is a specter, a killer, a myth, a machine trying to be a man.

(Victor falls in love with Yuuri—beautiful and out-of-nowhere, like the impractical black of his Aston Martin amidst the sea of tourists and locals in the streets of Barcelona. Yuuri falls in love with Victor like the slow bloom of a flower in spring in the middle of bustling Tokyo, tended and taken care of.)

Words and Worth (1k words)

Viktor overhears some fans saying not-nice things about Yuuri. It makes him angry.

Breathe In, Breathe Out (3k words)

Yuuri was never one to talk to people about his feelings- or his anxiety for that matter. He always hid away in his bathroom when the attacks came, but this time he has a panic attack on the ice and Viktor must step up to take care of him.

Moonrise (Royalty AU) (5k words)

couple o’ fics about yuuri + victor as princes.

Fall a Little Faster (3k words) (WIP)

If asked the question, “What are you most afraid of?”, Victor always has the same answer: “Falling in love.”

Most people take that answer as confirmation of his playboy nature or his phobia for commitment. Which is not true at all.

Then again, it isn’t like he can casually say, “A curse will kill me and my lover if I do” like it’s no big deal.

Victor has a curse so he sets an impossible set of expectations for his true love to make sure he never falls in love.

Then, he meets Yuuri Katsuki and somehow, the impossible doesn’t seem too impossible anymore.

You Can’t Order a Latte on the Rocks (2k words) (WIP)

Yuuri Katsuki is a twenty year-old dance major, working part-time at a coffee shop. Victor Nikiforov is a world-famous figure skater, who happens to enjoy coffee. Yuri Plisetsky happens to think they’re both gross, and is just there for the caffeine and to watch as the two of them quickly become one another’s inspiration. [coffee shop!au]

Old but Gold (5k words) (WIP)

“Hey Yuuri.”

“Hm..?”

“Do you know why ancient Spartans used to wear red in battle?”

A history quiz by your long-time lover you haven’t seen in a month? Totally fitting the mood.

“Uhh.. They wanted to conceal any possible injuries from the enemies while in combat, right? So the blood wouldn’t show and give the enemy any hope.”

Victor hummed suddenly looking all smug and proud.
“Yeah that’s what they wanted you to believe, but the truth is my favorite color used to be red at the time and their general was my friend.”

Was this man really trying to show off. By bragging about minor historical facts he had participated in?
Wait was that flirting?!

Aka the AU where both Victor and Yuuri are like really old vampires and while their first meeting was hundreds of years ago Victor remains the same dork Yuuri first met.

What Brings Me to You (4k words)

Viktor Nikiforov’s new apartment is haunted—he’s less bothered by this than you’d expect.

Painting a Portrait of Love (3k words) (WIP)

Foreign Politics where never King Viktor’s strong suit. Sure, he was nice and everyone loved him, but say one bad thing and it was all over. Looks like King Phichit of Thailand can experience this first hand. King Viktor is supposed to visit Thailand to follow with war proceedings, but it seems Phichit’s butler is a little bit of a distraction. Or a big one. Funny, wasn’t he here to start war? Oh well, might as well have fun while he’s here. (Monarch AU! King!Viktor, Butler!Yuuri!, and Heir to the Throne!Yuri!)

Soon a Happy Ending (2k words) (WIP)

Once upon a time, oh so very long ago

Would you like to hear a story, little one? The sun’s almost set, but I think we still have time.

Life After You (1k words)

Viktor wakes up and realizes his year with Yuuri has been all a dream.
