a/n: this is loosely based of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. i am v nervous about this as it isn’t the usual angst fueled plot I normally write. so if it’s crap, please be kind haha. i’m tagging the lovely @dimplecoups because i know you’ve been waiting for this. and @2seoke for always being the best babe.
You looked in the mirror, making sure your face mask was properly in place. If you were going to look like a serial killer for the next 20 minutes, you at least wanted to look the part. Your bed was calling your name as you walked over to the soft mattress, choosing to ignore the missed calls and text messages from your best friend. This was the first Saturday night you had to yourself in months. No work. No brother. No best friend. You were free to do whatever you wanted.
Or at least that’s what you had originally intended. But as the door to your bedroom crashed open you soon realized that the night had other plans for you.
“Why haven’t you answered my calls?” your best friend Irene squealed as she plopped down at the foot of your bed. “It’s Saturday night and I know you don’t have to work tomorrow!”
You gave her a look. Well, you tried to give her a look to the best of your ability as the motions of your face was restricted by the sheet mask on top of it. “There’s a reason why I didn’t answer your calls. And just because my idiot brother gave you a key to our apartment doesn’t mean you can just waltz in here any time you want.”
Irene rolled her eyes, blowing a large bubble from the gum she was constantly chewing. She was clearly not amused at your disinterest on leaving your apartment tonight. You reached forward, popping it with your pointer finger. “You’re no fun, Y/N” she whined, collecting the gum back into her mouth.
“I can’t have fun when I’m always too busy taking care of you.” you quipped, reminding her of the last time the two of you went out. “I had to beg that cop not to give you a ticket for being drunk in public. Why aren’t you bothering my brother? I’m sure he would love to see you.”
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader Featuring: Cooper, Lila, and Nathaniel Barton Rating: Teens and Up Summary: Reader and Steve find a quiet moment together while they babysit Clint’s children. Words Count: 1.2k Genre: Fluff! Warnings: Steve being a dork and it’s set before Captain America: Civil War. A massive thank you to @punkrockhippiefromthefourties for helping me.
Ah, Clint’s homestead. Something every superhero alive in this world would love to have. A stable home. A real home, with your own bed that wasn’t going to crack under another attack. A real home where you could have a nice warm shower that wouldn’t be interrupted because you were needed to save lives again. Feeling free, no duties and just a happy family to live with, that was what you aspired to get once in your lifetime.
Babysitting the kids was another story. Your friend Laura had asked you to watch after her three children while she would enjoy a date with her husband in town. You couldn’t say no, Clint was away most of the time in the year and you knew they needed romantic moments together because you felt yourself living the same story with your boyfriend Steve.
Steve. Watching after two kids and a baby wasn’t an easy task for the super soldier. Even if he was a great tactician in the field, changing a diaper or feeding Cooper, Lila and Nathaniel wasn’t the same thing and had been ridiculously difficult for him.

236. “I just don’t know how to look forward anymore.”
As some people might already know about me, I’ve never been one to shy away from a good debate. That’s a trait that I share with Hermione.
There are some people who don’t particularly like arguing or disagreeing. Some people genuinely do. Hermione falls into the second category, and since I do as well, I wanted to try to explain what’s up with all of the arguing between her and Ron.
I don’t think there are that many people who would say that she isn’t an argumentative person by nature. In addition to Ron/Harry, Hermione clashes with Lavender over her rabbit, Luna over her theories, Umbridge over Ministry rules, Snape over the lesson plans for Lupin’s DADA class, Professor Trelawney over Divination, Parvati over Divination, Draco over Hagrid/Buckbeak, etc. And she argues with everyone about house-elves. Hermione is argumentative, and that’s how she prefers it.
Hermione finds it intellectually stimulating to argue, and needs someone who’s going to argue right back.
Hermione is not the sort of person who’s afraid of being the person reading the book while everyone else is having fun. When she fights with Harry/Ron in PA, she doesn’t buddy up with Lavender/Parvati or apologize to the boys just to have someone to sit with at lunch. She sits by herself in the common room and goes it alone. In other words, Hermione is not the kind of person who chooses a bad friend over no friend at all.
If she did not enjoy spending time with Ron, she would have no problem sitting on the other side of the common room reading a book while waiting for Harry to return. And yet, we constantly see her in Ron’s company, even when Harry’s not around.
In every book after CS, she arrives the Burrow/Leaky Cauldron/Number 12 before Harry does. Harry takes it for granted that Ron and Hermione will be sitting together when he shows up in the common room, but that’s not a small thing. In PA, the two of them return from Hogsmeade “looking as though they’ve had the time of their lives.”
Despite how much they fight, it’s very clear that Hermione genuinely enjoys spending time with Ron.
Comfort with Conflict
Harry was raised by the Dursleys, and sees arguing and conflict as associated with strife. He also doesn’t feel comfortable expressing his emotions, so he tends to bottle things up until they explode.
Hermione frequently nags Harry, which Harry does not particularly appreciate. He basically has three strategies when being nagged by Hermione. The first is avoiding/ignoring her, the second is lying to her, and the third is exploding at her. Examples of the first and second include occulmency, sneaking into Hogsmeade, his doubts over Dumbledore’s past, the egg clue, his homework, his feelings about Ron’s absence, Voldemort’s visions in DH, his grades, etc.
When he can’t lie/avoid/ignore, Harry will explode at Hermione. At which point the balance of power tilts sharply toward Harry. When Harry explodes, Hermione crumples. She will cry, shrink back, speak “in a small voice,” etc.
Nagging is simply Hermione’s style, and while she might learn to tone it down, it’s always going to be part of who she is.
The problem is that Hermione needs feedback. Because Harry doesn’t engage with Hermione’s nagging, it’s hard for her to know when she’s entering the danger zone.
Like Hermione, Ron is pretty comfortable with the idea of conflict. He was raised in a house where such behavior was acceptable. He knew that just because his mother shouts or his brothers tease doesn’t mean that they don’t love him. He might be insecure about his worth, but he never has to worry that his family will simply stop loving him if he crosses some kind of invisible line.
Both Hermione and Ron wear their emotions on their sleeves and give each other instant feedback. If Hermione is upset with the boys, she tells them exactly why. Ron is the same way. Even when Ron fights with Harry, he chooses to immediately engage with him that night rather than giving him the cold shoulder and forcing Harry to work it out on his own.
The conflicts over each other’s romantic partners (or potential romantic partners) are a good example as well. When Ron sees something developing with Hermione/Krum, he immediately reacts and Hermione reacts right back.
When Hermione sees that Ron has a crush on Fleur, she wastes no time talking about how Fleur “really thinks a lot of herself” and “scowls” when Fleur gives Ron attention. Hermione reacts to Ron kissing Lavender not by sulking but by sending a flock of birds flying at his head. Neither of them are great at hiding how they feel.
There is a brief period in HBP where Ron decides to give Hermione the cold shoulder after finding out that she kissed Krum. Hermione is quite visibly rattled and upset by this behavior, saying she “doesn’t know what she’s supposed to have done.” Because normally when Ron is upset at Hermione, he tells her why.
A lot of the problems in the later books regarding their romantic lives stem from the same thing - for the first time, they’re not being honest and upfront with one another. Which creates a comedy of misunderstandings and poor decision-making.
Arguing as Conversation
There’s not really anger between Ron/Hermione’s arguments. I know that sounds odd, but to them it’s a cross between a rational discussion and intellectual exercise. Ron presents an idea, Hermione counters, Ron counters, and so on and so forth. It’s basically just a way to pass the time and exchange perspectives.
The morning after Ron/Hermione’s heated argument about Krum after the Yule Ball, Harry notes that they were being “quite friendly to each other, though oddly formal.”
In other words, they’re bending over backwards to be polite to one another and it’s making things weird. It’s totally different from their normal behavior.
There are many times in canon where they will segue from an argument to a normal conversation with no visible ill-will.
Even with Scabbers and the Firebolt, when an argument is finished, it’s finished.
Hermione flung her arms around Ron’s neck and broke down completely.
Ron, looking quite terrified, patted her very awkwardly on the top of the head.
Finally, Hermione drew away.
“Ron, I’m really, really sorry about Scabbers…” she sobbed.
“Oh — well — he was old,” said Ron, looking thoroughly relieved that she had let go of him.
“And he was a bit useless. You never know, Mum and Dad might get me an owl now.”
They’re perfectly capable of stopping in their tracks in order to focus on Harry or something else that’s just happened.
For another example, look at OP:
“Poisonous toadstools don’t change their spots,” said Ron sagely. “Anyway I’ve always thought Dumbledore was cracked trusting Snape. Where’s the evidence he ever really stopped working for You-Know-Who?”
“I think Dumbledore’s probably got plenty of evidence, even if he doesn’t share it with you, Ron,” snapped Hermione.
“Oh, shut up, the pair of you,” said Harry heavily, as Ron opened his mouth to argue back.
Hermione and Ron both froze, looking angry and offended.
“Can’t you give it a rest?” said Harry. “You’re always having a go at each other, it’s driving me mad.” […] The vision of Ron and Hermione’s shocked faces afforded him a sense of deep satisfaction.
Ron/Hermione are shocked, offended, and angry at Harry’s remark, because they don’t see anything wrong with their behavior. This is just how they communicate.
Harry leaves the table and goes straight up to Divination, and Ron joins him a few minutes later:
The rest of the class arrived over the next five minutes. Ron emerged from the trapdoor, looked around carefully, spotted Harry and made directly for him, or as directly as he could while having to wend his way between tables, chairs and overstuffed pouffes.
“Hermione and me have stopped arguing,” he said, sitting down beside Harry.
“Good,” grunted Harry.
“But Hermione says she thinks it would be nice if you stopped taking out your temper on us,” said Ron.
“I’m not -”
“I’m just passing on the message,” said Ron, talking over him. “But I reckon she’s right. It’s not our fault how Seamus and Snape treat you.”
So in a matter of minutes, Ron and Hermione resolved their argument and discussed the best way to handle Harry. Notice that Ron doesn’t actually apologize for arguing with Hermione, he just tells Harry they’ve stopped.
An Expression of Trust
When you get to know someone, you learn that there are certain things they’re sensitive about, and you try to steer away from those topics. This is no different with Hermione/Ron. They both know what’s safe and what’s off-limits.
Hermione can call Ron tactless numerous times and nag him to do his homework, but she’s not going to take a shot at his family’s finances. Ron will tell Hermione to stop nagging and call her a know-it-all, but he would never insult her appearance.
That’s how they operate. And Hermione knows that if she accidentally strays into the danger zone, Ron will let her know. And vice versa.
Keeping Things Balanced
The movies turn Hermione into this perfect superwoman and Ron into a cowardly idiot who’s the butt of the joke, but the truth is that both characters are flawed in their own way.
One of Hermione’s more abrasive qualities is her tendency to be a bit of a know-it-all.
To be clear, being a know-it-all is not the same as being smart. Being smart is knowing the answer. Being a know-it-all is being unable to resist telling everyone else the answer. Essentially the way that Hermione and Ron negotiate a balanced relationship is by Ron engaging her when she nags him or acts like a know-it-all.
Hermione cannot help telling Ron that he’s not pronouncing a spell correctly. Plenty of people are offended by that kind of behavior, even when the other person is right. But Ron, instead of ignoring her corrections or acting as though he’s been gravely insulted, just calls her a know-it-all to keep things even. This evens the scales between them and prevents their relationship from becoming Hermione bossing Ron around.
It’s important to understand that Ron does have a huge amount of respect for Hermione’s abilities. He’s not always the best about coming out and saying it, but he takes it for granted that she’s the cleverest person in the room.
“But we’re not six hundred years old,” Ron reminded her. “Anyway, what are you studying for, you already know it all.”
“But Hogwarts is hidden,” said Hermione, in surprise. “Everyone knows that… well, everyone who’s read Hogwarts, A History, anyway.”
“Just you, then,” said Ron. “So go on - how d'you hide a place like Hogwarts?”
When the O.W.L.s arrive and Hermione looks slightly unhappy and says that she did “not bad,” Ron takes the paper and announces that she got 10 Outstandings and 1 Exceeds Expectations and then playfully makes fun of her for being disappointed given how impressive her scores are. When Ron and Hermione take their apparition tests, he tells Harry that Hermione was “perfect, obviously.” Even when he himself fails, he doesn’t seem to bear any ill-will toward Hermione.
Ron’s not threatened by Hermione’s intelligence, and he’s not too prideful to do exactly what Hermione’s told him to do. But his teasing and his unwillingness to automatically agree with Hermione is what creates a balanced relationship between the two.
And Hermione genuinely needs this in a partner. She needs someone who will volley right back when she argues with them. She needs someone who will understand that her tendency to be a know-it-all is an instristic part of her personality. She needs someone who finds it endearing rather than annoying.
On her first Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts, Lily received
lilies from five different people. She loved them because she knew her friends
and that one boy from Hufflepuff had good intentions. She knew they thought
it’d be cute to give Lily the flower she was named after. Everyone always
thought it would be.
After going through it for so many years, Lily should have
seen it coming and warned them. Perhaps she could have worn a sign around her
neck starting a week prior that read: I
do not like lilies.
But despite how unoriginal the flowers were, she carried
them around proudly all day. They were beautiful after all. And she may have
woken up too late to shower that morning so their sweet perfume was welcome.
That night she sprawled on her back on the floor by the fire
with Mary and Marlene. They giggled about all the couples they had seen that
day and the boy who had given Mary chocolates. Suddenly, James Potter’s face
was looming above Lily’s.
“What on earth are you doing, Potter?” she exclaimed,
bolting upright and nearly smacking her forehead against his. He muttered
something incoherent before dropping a flower into her lap and bolting toward
the boy’s dormitories.
“What was that about?” Marlene asked. Still lying down, she
and Mary couldn’t see what James had given Lily.
“Nothing,” Lily said as she slipped the perfect pink peony
into the billowy sleeve of her robes. How he knew her favorite flower was a
mystery to her. But even more mysterious was the heat spreading across her face

You weren’t suppose to see it. The way he tore into their necks, the way their bodies became limp after being drained of blood, or even the way Kol looked frightened and ashamed that once again he gave in to the temptation of vampirism.
It was late, far too late for anyone to be lurking outside. But those poor, innocent civilians just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Kol backed away, stumbling over his feet trying so desperately to come to terms with what he did.
Not one said a word, not until the moon disappeared and was replaced by the sun.
Kol was sitting on the bar stool, head lowered, dry blood stains on his grey shirt. You were leaning against the wall most of the night, but moved closer to where he was.
“It wasn’t your fault, Kol. Learning to be a vampire again, no-one said that was going to be easy”. Your throat was dry, it cracked as you spoke.
His position didn’t move and you could barely hear his faint mumbles. “You need to leave, darling”. He stated with a low, deep voice.
It was his way of trying to scare you. In his eyes, if he painted himself as a monster for long enough, surely you’d be able to see it too?. But you didn’t believe he was one, in fact, you knew that just because he got burdened with becoming a vampire again it didn’t automatically make him a monster. Not to you anyway.
Extending your arm over the chair, you hesitated. No because you were afraid, but because you weren’t sure it was the right move considering Kol’s posture. “I’m not going to let you push me away, not this time”. He remained as he was, so you continued.“Kol, being a vampire doesn’t mean that you’re irredeemable or a savage monster that needs to be stopped. You’re capable of love, I’ve seen it, I’ve felt it. Yeah, okay, sometimes you lose control-”
“Why are you telling me all of this?”. Kol rudely interrupted, annoyance was projected in his tone.
Striking back with the same annoyance, you needed him to hear you. “Because I know you’re going to keep blaming yourself, and Kol that will tear you apart. I’m here, standing in front of you telling you that I’m not going anywhere. Telling you that…that I love you”.
He laid his eyes on you but his voice was mute.
Taking that as his answer you started moving towards the exit. Kol reached and caught your wrist just in time. “You have no idea how much I’ve wanted to hear you say that”.
Kol lingered for a brief second, unclear if he should initiate a kiss. You didn’t have to be able to sense emotions to know that. So you gave him a sign. Leaning in half way, Kol now knew this was what you wanted. He leaned in the rest of the way and a perfect rhythm was found.
“Are you sure about this, darling?”, he mumbled against your lips.
Placing his hand on your heart, it was beating at an high rate. “I have no doubts. Not about you or us, any of it. Kol, I’d gladly spend an eternity with you”.
Eternity, always and forever, a lifetime. Those were the words of a promise that you intended to keep. Because no matter how others viewed Kol, he was never going to be a monster in your eyes.
And now the Alternate Ending, Everyone Gets Some Love.
You hung up instantly. “Did you find it?” Mark called. “No,” you replied, “I’m going to go look in the car, just in case.” You walked outside to your car, locking yourself in for privacy before you called Mark’s phone again. It rang only once before being answered, but only silence waited on the other side. “Dark, are you there?” you whispered. He chuckled. “So you did miss me.” You hesitated, not entirely certain why you’d called. “Listen,” you said at last, “there’s a park three blocks from here, we’ve been there before. I’m going to be there in twenty minutes.” You took a deep breath. “Will you?” He chuckled again. “We’ll see.”

Under the brilliance of the moon and veil of night, the domain drifted into a familiar peaceful silence while they slumbered, the worries and weight of the world nothing more but a temporary illusion. The guards surrounding the domain took care to tread quietly, walking just a bit too tightly to prevent their armor from clanking and holding their spears aloft to keep the flint from striking the floor.
Since your arrival at the domain mere months ago, nightfall had easily become your favorite time of day in the cycle to meander the town and admire an almost otherworldly beauty. The sky was dotted with stars cast high above the canopy of trees and mountains that encapsulated the domain, just as a shield were to protect the warrior. Rushing waterfalls had once kept you awake at night, but now you often turned to them and listened to them sing–they were eternal.
You ventured away from the town at these hours, yet never far enough rouse concern from the guards nor your lover. The East Reservoir Lake had become your sanctuary and where you usually found yourself resting as well, much to the dismay of the prince. It didn’t come as any surprise to you when you would find him waiting there for you patiently, or not at all.
Upon your descent to the lake, you could see his silhouette at the end of the dock–tall, proud, yet deeply affected by things around him. You took those tentative steps towards his back until you were able to hook your arms loosely around one of his and rest your face against his cold scales.

It’s been 3 years since you left your family…
You left your home…
And your lover.
You don’t remember the last time you genuinely smiled, or laughed, or even lived.
Every day was the same. You’d sleep throughout the day, not giving a fuck about the world that seemed to be all sunshine and rainbows. When in truth, the world is pretty fucked up and you’d wondered why people would waste their time having fun, going out, having children, being in love…
Sometimes, she had to stop and wonder
briefly about how the hell she had ended up here.
Somehow, Jyn Erso had gotten through the initial
bloodshed and trauma of being dragged bloodied and broken, but ultimately
alive, off Scarif. She had worked her way through the appropriate length of
time it had taken for the screaming night terrors to work their way down to
just the occasional nightmare. She’d been a shell of herself for so long that
she’d even had to relearn who she was without aliases to hide behind.
But she’d had Cassian at her side. Somehow, that had made it ok.
She’d told herself that she’d stayed with
the rebellion because she believed in the cause. But really, she had just
believed in him.
– are we ever going to talk about this?” he had gasped once, face buried in her
shoulder as she was pressed against the bare wall of his room. Their hands had
fumbled, everything new and awkward and thrilling and Jyn had desperately
kissed away the answer.
I have not said this since 13x16, but this was a great episode
of Grey’s Anatomy. Was it perfect? No.
But it did show us that the show we have loved for so long is still capable
of bringing it. I have a feeling this is
going to be a long review, so grab a seat, and let me know what you think.
The episode opens with Meredith talking about those moments
in life when everything seems to be going well.
She says it’s as if the stars align.
And we’ve all been there right?
Literally, everything is perfect…so we’re just waiting for the other
shoe to drop. And in this episode, the
shoe crushes them.
It’s interesting that the last episode I loved was directed
by Kevin McKidd because this one was, too.
He is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors for the show. I thought the scene where the Army soldiers
show up at his door to tell him about Megan was so well done. I know it was frustrating to not hear exactly
what they said to him, but it is also realistic. In life, there are often life-altering
moments that we don’t see coming, and it is as if we are not fully experiencing
them. Our body is there, but our mind
goes someplace else. For Owen, he is
thrown back into his experiences overseas, finding out Megan’s plane crashed, and
the guilt of being the one to tell her to get on the plane. He hears what they are saying, but he isn’t
processing it correctly because of his PTSD.
This is such a likely reaction from someone who has been through what he
has, and Kevin impressed me with his delivery of it.
Stephanie returns to the hospital. Webber signs off on her returning, probably
so he can feel guilty later, and she jumps back in to work. I am still trying to figure out the point of
her suspension if they weren’t actually going to go anywhere with her supposed
anger issues. I guess in a roundabout
way it led to her being on the rapist’s case because Eliza wouldn’t let her do
Neuro, but other than that…
Alex is in L.A. imagining multiple scenarios of pummeling Jo’s
husband. I have to say, as much as I don’t
want Alex in jail, a part of me was sad that he didn’t really leave him bloody
on the sidewalk. And this is a good sign
for Jolex, even if Jo wasn’t even in the episode. The fact that Alex envisions different ways
of hurting the man who hurt her shows how much he still loves her.
Then we meet our patients.
April and Bailey are with Allison, and Deluca and Stephanie have Keith. It looks like they were having sex in their
car and one of them accidently hit the gas pedal, which causes lots of sex talk
amongst the doctors throughout the episode.
They never pass up a reason to talk about sex at Grey-Sloan.
Cut to Owen on the elevator.
He is still very much in his own head.
The muffled audio and focus on the sound of Owen’s breathing instead was
an effective way to show that he is not registering his surroundings. All he hears are his own thoughts. The baby who choked on the coin comes in,
completely blue. Owen’s survival
instincts are still there. He may be
rough and insensitive, but he saves her.
Back to Allison.
April, Bailey, and Maggie are working on her. Maggie says, “I hope the sex was good.” April replies, “Is sex in a car ever that
good with all those windows?” And the
Japril fandom freaked. Guys, I get
it. It’s been eight weeks. But this was not a dig at the 11x16 Japril
scenes. This was a genuine April Kepner
reaction. April, who was a virgin until
she was almost thirty and has had sex with one man in her entire life, is definitely
not an exhibitionist. And I’m gonna get
a little TMI here, but she’s right. The
backseat of a car is not roomy, seat belts end up in places they shouldn’t be,
and then there is the paranoia that someone could see you. I’m with April. Car sex may be fun and hot at times, but
there are many other places it could be better.
Allison wakes up asking if the guy she was with is alive,
and at this point, the entire audience knew something was up, but of course,
our Grey-Sloan doctors do not.
Jackson, Stephanie, Meredith, and Deluca are with Keith. Eliza is there to complain about something,
as usual, and Stephanie gets stuck with babysitting duty.
We have our first hint that Erin, the little girl who keeps
wandering away, is going to have more of a story when Mer finds her digging
through drawers in the hallway that they apparently don’t keep locked but are
full of loaded syringes of epinephrine.
Arizona and Amelia give the choking baby a clean bill of
health and Amelia gets her first hint that something is up with Owen when the
parents ask to see him because he “pounded” on her. Amelia finds him. He snaps at her, but she doesn’t push him for
Jackson and Stephanie are conveniently in the room with Keith
when he wakes up. Props to Jesse Williams for pulling that tube dripping in
saliva out of his mouth with no gloves.
When I saw the spit drop, I gagged a little. Keith seems like a sweet, concerned
boyfriend. Poor Keith, right?
Mer and Riggs find Erin in the radiology department messing
with equipment. Mer’s comments, “I know
this girl. She’s trouble,” and “Some
people just need a nanny,” seem off to me considering she went off on a guy for
mom shaming a woman in the plane episode who was just trying to do her best in
the situation. This feels like a similar
situation and she has a completely different reaction. Now, obviously this was just a moment they
threw in there so Mer could see how great Riggs is with kids, but they still
need to write her character consistently.
They return Erin to her dad and Mer invites Riggs to dinner with her
kids. If I’m being honest, I’m still not
completely sold on their chemistry. I
personally think Riggs and Maggie could have been interesting, but this is Grey’s
Anatomy, so Grey gets the guy.
Then we get the scene by the OR board with Maggie, Deluca,
Arizona, Stephanie, Jackson, and Eliza discussing Allison and Keith and
sex. There is a lot being said in this
scene and the dialogue moves fast, so I had to watch it a couple times to see
and hear everything. Arizona says, “Car
sex is only for when it’s new.” Jackson
adds, “Or it could be cheating.” And
again, the Japril fandom flipped out. Ya’ll. Again, this is not about 11x16. Honestly, that comment is about Jackson and
Stephanie having sex in the car after Bailey’s wedding if anything. Stephanie picks up on it, too, I think, which
is why she gives him a look and smacks his arm.
Jackson and April were not technically together when he had sex with
Stephanie, but he felt so bad about it, he went to tell April because he didn’t
want her to hear it from someone else.
Sounds like it felt like cheating to him. There is more talk of how uncomfortable car
sex is and then they transition to how sweet it is that Keith and Alison asked
about each other. They discuss whether
it was love or not and Jackson says, “This isn’t love we are talking about
here. This was emergency sex, and they
were just too damn horny to remember the parking break.” Cue freak out number three. Again, I think he is actually talking about
this specific situation. The camera didn’t
linger on his face to show him deep in thought of his own situation, which Grey’s
often does when lines have a deeper meaning.
But if I force myself to read into this and relate it to Japril, I just
think it means they are confused about what Montana meant. Jackson and April have been talking about sex
a lot in the episodes since Montana, so my guess it they are either having it
or they want to be. I didn’t get any
negative Japril vibes from any of their comments about sex in this episode.
Mer and Amelia. I
really wish they would have let Mer listen to Amelia in this scene. If they are sisters, they should listen to
each other, but Amelia is often told her problems are a result of her
overreacting while Mer’s problems are real and should be dealt with. I wanted this scene to go differently for
Amelia sees Owen freak out on the baby’s parents and
realizes he is not okay. These two have
had some great scenes lately, and this episode is full of more good stuff with
them. We find out Megan is alive. I really think that this is setting up a
season 14 story. Megan showing up is
something we all saw coming since season 12 (just like Jo’s husband returning),
and it will create drama for at least Owen, Amelia, Mer, and Riggs. I am interested to see how things play out
with Riggs and Mer because Riggs loved Megan at one point. It is all a bit too similar to Derek and
Addison, but as long as it doesn’t take them 27 episodes to do anything with it,
it could be good.
Brooke Stadler, huh?
How does Alex know all of this?
Did Jo tell him? I think he said
he hired a private investigator, but he would have had to have a name to
investigate in the first place.
Whatever. I’ll let it go because
the story is moving right now. We all know
it could be worse.
They remembered Teddy Altman! Another small detail that made this episode really
The Jackson and Maggie elevator scene. Guys, go back and rewatch this scene. Maggie is 100% talking about her views on Mer
and Riggs. This is her reacting to the
small scene at the beginning where she watches Mer and Riggs switch badges
because they have each other’s. She is
sitting behind the nurses’ desk and the camera shows her briefly. She is clearly still hurting. She says, “Maybe they are in love or maybe
they were just horny. It doesn’t
matter. We all love, we all get horny,
and we all get hurt. And then we come
through to the other side. And we get to
help them do that. We get to help them
find love again…or screw again. Either
way. But I think they’re in love. I choose love.” That entire ramble was her inner debate over
whether Mer and Riggs are in love or just screwing. That is why she uses we to describe it. She is a part of what she is talking
about. She is the one who got hurt that
she mentions. But she is choosing to
believe that Mer and Riggs love each other because that makes it hurt
less. This is not her hinting about sex
or love with Jackson. And he is just
letting her talk. He evens says he has
no idea what she is talking about. And
he barely looks at her when they have scenes together. They have been in scenes often since
13x12/13x13, whenever her mom showed up.
There have been zero looks, zero lingering touches, zero moments of slow
music playing in the background. We miss
Japril so much that people are reading into these scenes. Stop doing that!
Then, Allison shatters all their illusions that she was
having some lust filled car sex by telling Bailey, Maggie, and Jackson that
Keith kidnapped her and tried to rape her.
They call security and Jackson realizes that Stephanie is with him. I know not everyone liked this, but I, for
one, appreciate his concern. She is his
friend, and she is with a dangerous man.
I would be surprised if he wasn’t concerned. I also want to add that the guy playing
creepy Keith is a great actor. He was
believable as both the concerned boyfriend and the psychotic killer. Great casting.
Alex lets Paul go without saying anything. Just like Megan being transferred to
Grey-Sloan, this is a set up for next season’s drama. These are those seeds that Debbie was talking
When Keith stood up and held that scalpel to Steph’s neck, I
really wanted her to punch him in the liver.
She’s a badass. I wanted to see
her take him down.
Owen sleeping on Amelia’s lap was the sweetest thing. We need more loving moments between our main
couples. This episode had no fighting
couples or relationship drama, and it was one of the best of the season. I hope someone who matters is paying
attention to that.
For Japril lovers, watch the scene where Bailey is giving
instructions to the security team and calling for a code orange again. They deliberately show April is in the room
with Allison, then Jackson comes in and announces Keith and Stephanie are
missing. The camera pulls away, but if
you watch Jackson, his eyes are in that room on April. It’s a small moment, but it’s there.
Jerrika Hinton was fantastic in all the scenes with
Keith. The scenes on the stairs and in
the hallway they were trapped in had me on the edge of my seat not
breathing. And then Erin appeared. “Hi.”
Creepy Keith asked her name, and I started freaking out. Where has this fantastic storytelling been
Mer took learning that Rigg’s fiancé is alive better than I
would have. But she makes a good
point. If it were Derek, she would want
to know immediately. As much as I am not
into Griggs, if they do this story right in season 14, it could be really compelling.
Jackson and Maggie sit on the gurney and talk about
Stephanie. Jackson is stressing. I get the question of why isn’t he worried
about April and Harriet. But, come on,
he specifically knows Stephanie was with him because he left her there. He feels responsible. This doesn’t take away from the fact that he
cares about April and Harriet and wants them to be safe, but this story is
about Stephanie right now. And as much
as my Japril heart wants him to go check on his girls, I just pointed out that
he saw April. He knows she is okay right
now. They showed April in that room for
a reason, so we knew Jackson saw her.
They didn’t make a big thing of it, but it happened. And again, nothing about this conversation between
the two of them is anything to freak out about.
As hard as the scene where Keith tries to start the fire is
to watch, I have to say I am so damn proud of Stephanie. It’s violent, and it’s ugly, but how badass is
it that she literally set a rapist on fire?
Unfortunately, he didn’t burn fast enough to take the crazy out of him. His last act alive is to purposefully set off
an explosion, and Stephanie selflessly tries to stop him. Now this may be a spoiler, and I apologize if
it is, but we know from the BTS pic that Sarah Drew posted that April, Jackson,
Ben, Bailey, and Webber more than likely operate on Stephanie in the finale, so
she is probably not dead at this point. I say at this point because I think she does
die in the finale.
I know this is a long post, and if you have made it this
far, thank you for sticking in there. I
do have one more thing I want to talk about, though, and that is Japril. Or rather Jackson, April, and Stephanie. I know that so many of us are waiting for the
finale to come through for Japril to decide if we stick around for season 14. I’m with you all on that, but I want to throw
something out there I have been thinking about.
Maybe I’m overanalyzing or maybe not, but here goes.
I think that in life, and in fiction, people meet for a
reason. Sometimes it’s a good
reason. We find friends, lovers,
mentors, or just a helping hand or needed smile. Sometimes we meet people for reasons that
aren’t always good. These are the people
who teach us the hardest lessons. They
hurt us, they leave us, they damage us, but we come out stronger in the
end. I think that Stephanie was a part
of Jackson and April’s life for a reason.
Maybe the show didn’t get this deep with their connection, but I can’t
help but wonder. Stephanie joined the
show in season nine. Correct me if I am
wrong, but the first scene that April and Stephanie interact in is the scene
where April sets Jackson and Stephanie up for Bailey’s wedding. This is obviously a significant moment
between the three of them although none of them knew how significant at the
time. This moment leads to the car sex
that Jackson calls cheating in this episode, and of course, that moment where
April tells Jackson that all she can think about is kissing him. April
unintentionally hurt herself by setting them up, but she acts like an adult and
doesn’t treat Edwards badly. We see this
in the scene where she teaches her to run the pit. It’s the same episode where Jackson and
Stephanie are trying to have sex, but she mentions April’s name and he can’t go
through with it. “Kepner’s running me
ragged.” Instead of going with his feelings, Jackson dates
(ignores?) Stephanie and April gets engaged to Matthew. Stephanie being in their lives at this point
helps Jackson learn a hard lesson. He
realizes while working on his first big throat patient that he loves and wants
to be with April. He stands up at April’s
wedding (Thank God), but Stephanie gets hurt in the process. The dynamic between the three of them has
always been this cycle of hurting and learning from each other. Stephanie seems to get over the hurt of
Jackson leaving her, and we don’t see much interaction between the three of
them until we get that awkward scene where Stephanie does the ultrasound and
ultimately discovers Samuel’s OI. I
think it was completely intentional on the show’s part that Stephanie was the
one to find this. She tells Jo that she
wished horrible things for them, although she would have never wished for
this. This is another time when they are
in each other’s lives at a significant point and one of them hurts the
other. It’s not intentional, but it
happens. They hurt, they learn from it,
and they move forward. After this point,
things are not good with Japril. April
goes to Jordon, Jackson is hurt by her, and she returns to an uncertain
situation. In 12x05, Jackson uses
Stephanie to hurt April. It’s subtle,
but it’s there. Her flirts with her just
enough to get a side eye from April and from the audience. The cycle continues. For a bit, it seemed as if the purpose for
Stephanie being in Jackson and April’s lives had been fulfilled. April and Stephanie even seemed almost
friends. They work well together, Steph
helps her with Tinder, and they banter in the on-call room when April is sleep
deprived. It seems as if they are all
done hurting each other. Until now. So here is where most of this is just my
theory or speculation. There is a reason that Jackson is the one who left
Stephanie with Keith. This is another
way one of them has hurt the other, but this way ends up being physical. And I think that Stephanie being hurt and
Jackson feeling guilty over it will be the last lesson he learns from Stephanie
being in his life. I think that Jackson and
April are on the team that works on her in the next episode, but they aren’t
able to save her. Stephanie dying would
be incredibly significant for Jackson since he feels responsible, and may
prompt him to finally tell April how he feels. This is the last lesson. I think that Stephanie had a significant role
in pulling them apart in season nine, and she will have a significant role in
putting them back together now. As
usual, I could be wrong. This could all
be coincidence and the writers may not have put this much thought into this
dynamic. Either way, we find out for
sure in one week. Try to hang in there
Japril fans. There is no excuse for the
poor writing and continuity, but from the BTS pics and videos that Jesse, Sarah
and Debbie posted, it looks like we will finally see them interact at
least. And if they let us down, then,
don’t worry, I will have plenty to say about that.
Summary: Back on the Ark Bellamy had cheated on the reader and they broke up. Now she has to face him again and it leads to some unexpected reveals, that make her change her mind on some things.
Word count: 3300
Being on the Earth, walking on the ground, seeing the sun rising every morning, it felt odd and amazing at the same time.
Even though I had had pretty good life back on the Ark, being here it finally felt right, I felt free.
Imagine having a family dinner with the Batfam and they’re more than surprised to find out you’re Jason’s fiancé.
Prompt:“Where Jason shows up to the manor for family dinner with a girl and it’s the batfams first time meeting her and it turns out she’s Jason’s fiancé and they’d been dating for years but no one knew”
Today was the day, the night that could potentially scar you for life according to Jason Todd. Meeting his family for dinner was definitely a nerve wracking situation that you’d both avoided for as long as possible but Jason had decided seeing them was inevitable, so fully equipped with exciting news the two of you found yourselves standing in front of the exquisite entrance to Wayne Manor.
Seconds later, the door was opened and you were greeted by none other than Alfred.
“Ah Master Jason, Miss (y/n) I’m glad you could make it. Please come in.” The butler politely welcomed with a smile.
“Is that Jaybird?” An unfamiliar voice echoed from behind the butler.
“Jaybird?” You repeated to Jason, who stood beside you and he easily detected the mischief in your tone.
“Uh yeah, a nickname of mine around here.”
“Oh I’m definitely remembering that one!” Came your upbeat voice, clearly pleased with your new discovery.
The stranger that soon came in view turned out to be a raven haired male, slightly shorter than Jason but he wore a charming smile.
“Woah, I’m Dick Grayson - and you’re (y/n) was it? Such a beautiful name.” The stranger addressed cheerfully, he was good looking -you’d give him that.
With that he gently kissed your left hand, expression faltering for a second. Before you could even react Jason had basically tackled him, a string of curse words leaving his lips based on his brother’s previous action - of course they were only messing around. You didn’t question when Jason went chasing after his brother since he could get a little hot headed sometimes, this left you with none other than Damian Wayne and Alfred, the former you’d recognised from the newspapers.
“Are you Jason’s significant other?” The boy asked, straight to the point just as Jason had described.
“That I am, and you’re Damian Wayne if I’m not mistaken. Pleased to meet you, my name is (y/n) (l/n).” Was your casual response, offering a hand as a greeting.
Damian had a surprisingly firm handshake but you expected nothing less from the son of Bruce Wayne who you had yet to meet.
“Well I respect you for being able to put up with Todd for so long (l/n). Would you like me to show you to the lounge to meet the others whilst Pennyworth prepares our meal?” Damian asked, of course making sure to insult his brother in the process.
“Please, that’d be great considering Jason had just disappeared on me.” You replied gratefully, allowing the boy to lead you through his home.
“That’s a common trait in our family, trust me.” Damian muttered, his tone as emotionless as ever.
Meanwhile, Dick had managed to get Jason wrapped up in a family discussion concerning the ring you wore on you left hand, a ring that suggested you were either married or engaged. The family had seemed bewildered once Dick told them after bursting into the room, Jason following with a bored expression that only morphed into a glare once Dick opened his mouth. Unfortunately he was unable to get a word in once the whole Batfam had insinuated you were cheating on your partner because the idea of Jason proposing never once crossed their minds - this was the first time they’d even met you, Jason would introduce his partner to them beforehand. Jason and yourself obviously knew different.
“Jason! She’s a married woman, she’s cheating on someone - that’s not a good thing.” Bruce sternly voiced, deciding against beating around the bush.
“Ok, first off she’s not married - (y/n) is engaged and secondly -” Jason tried, a feeble attempt at explaining your situation before he was interrupted.
“Right because being engaged makes it that much better? Jason how could you bring (y/n) along knowing about this?” Bruce groaned, fully aware of how irrational his son could be at times.
“Wow Bruce. As funny as this is, I’m gonna have to put a stop to it. I know (y/n) is engaged since we’ve been together for years and I brought her along because I love her and wanted you to meet her.” Your fiancé began for a second time.
“Years?! Oh boy, that’s great but I bet (y/n) says ‘I love you’ to her fiancé every night and look where we are now.” Tim concluded, gesturing with hands to emphasise his point.
“They’re right, I do say that actually.” Came your calm tone as you made your presence to the minor dispute well known, you came to a stop beside Jason. Damian letting out a sigh due to his families antics.
“(Y/n)…” Cassandra mindfully acknowledged in the midst of the chaos, holding out her hand as a from of greeting, she’d yet to meet you so why not now.
“Are you two sure about this? I get that you’re happy but it’s not fair on her fiancé.” The eldest brother, Dick, continued after your attention was momentarily distracted.
“I’m pretty sure he’s ok with it to be honest.” You grinned, a hint of sarcasm laced your voice as you looked to Jason for reassurance.
“What?! You’re engaged and he’s alright with this?” Tim practically squeaked whilst frantically gesturing between yourself and Jason.
“For fucks sake! (Y/n) is engaged to me.”
The whole room fell silent as they took in the new information in an awestruck fashion, it would be an understatement to say they were shocked - Jason was the last person they’d expect to get engaged.
Dick was the first to break the silence as he broke out into sparkling grin to engulf you both in an enthusiastic hug.
“Congratulations! That’s great Jay, I’m so happy for you both and sorry for uh - you know - jumping to conclusions but it’s really nice to meet you (y/n), good job at keeping Jaybird here in check!” Dick praised, excitement ringing through his voice after the genuine apology whilst the others still remained in a state of confusion.
“How come we’ve never met (y/n) before, you could’ve at least introduced us Jason.” Tim complained as he shook your hand, giving you a brief smile before turning his attention back to his brother.
“Can you blame me? I didn’t want to scare (y/n) away, especially with Demon Spawn over there.” Jason muttered, sending a glare to the youngest who was basically analysing you at this point until he heard the unoriginal insult thrown at him.
With a light nudge from yourself, you’d gained your fiancé’s attention as well as that of his family, you were new and none of them knew you as a person yet making everything you did stand out in some way.
“Back off Jay, Damian has been nothing but polite this evening and besides they couldn’t scare me away after all the shit you and I have been through.” You defended the youngest of the family with ease, despite knowing exactly what he was capable of.
“(Y/n) whose side are you on? Remember who you’re marrying here.” Your fiancé cut in, his tone holding a hint of amusement, Damian simply smirked.
“Well Jaybird, according to your family it’s not you.” Your response was half hearted, receiving a laugh from Jason and a few of the other family members but of course they felt a pang of guilt zip through them.
Though you were joking, the rest of the family had realised their mistake and started to feel responsible, except Damian who had miraculously taken a liking to you in recent minutes.
“I would like to apologise for jumping to conclusions (y/n), it’d be best to start afresh so it’s nice to finally meet you. And congratulations of course.” Bruce started, offering you his hand, his statement was soon followed by a string of apologies from your future in-laws.
“Don’t worry about it, I suppose it’ll be a great story to tell the kids -” You cheerfully responded, before you were cut off that is.
“Oh my god! Don’t tell me you guys have children - that’s so cute! I’m basically an auntie!” Came the joyful voice of Stephanie, Bruce’s face significantly paling whilst Dicks in contrast completely lit up at the news.
“No, we don’t have children, (y/n) is not pregnant - it was just a figure of speech, now please can we go and eat?!” Jason exasperatedly groaned, putting an end to his family’s assumptions.
Soon you were all seated at the dinner table, a delicious looking meal prepared by Alfred set in front of you, casual conversation filled the air with members of the family shooting questions at both you and Jason every so often regarding your relationship.
“How has your fiancé, Master Jason been treating you Miss (y/n)?” The butler kindly inquired whilst pouring you a beverage.
“Eh, he’s actually amazing Alfred, you clearly rubbed off on him.” You replied, earning a smile from the elderly man as the table suddenly became silent.
“Wait - you told Alfred and not us?” Dick stammered, realising that Alfred wasn’t in the room previously where this matter was discussed so would of been oblivious to the situation plus he knew you by name before you’d even introduced yourself.
“Duh.” Jason smugly answered, relishing in the families astonishment and displeasure.

Zen acted like everything was fine, but that was the farthest thing he could say from the truth. Everything wasn’t fine. He had become so possessive that he wasn’t letting you leave the apartment anymore. He allowed you to talk to the other RFA members through the phone, but he didn’t let you leave the apartment. He thought you could deal with it since you were locked in Rika’s apartment.
You let it happen because you never thought that you would get someone like Zen again. You didn’t want to lose this love that you had. You could deal with the odd parts of the relationship because it seemed like it would be so perfect. You knew it wasn’t normal for someone to keep you hidden away, but you decided that it was worth it to be with Zen.
Plus, you genuinely thought that he loved you. The problem wasn’t that he didn’t love you. The problem was that he loved you too much. He loved you so much that he didn’t want you looking at anyone other than himself. You weren’t used to normal relationships or healthy relationships, so you just assumed that this was alright. It would all fix itself one day.
So, you stayed with Zen, no matter what he did. When he came home one day with red liquid on his jacket, you didn’t question it. He told you that he got it on their during a film that he was shooting. He had come home messy on multiple occasions, due to whatever he was shooting. This wasn’t new or odd to you. So, you just brushed it off.
He also didn’t tell you that Yoosung had been getting suspicious about you. He didn’t want to upset you by telling you what had happened to the boy. He hated to see you cry.
He wasn’t going to let you go like Rika. He couldn’t take it again. His poor heart would break and fall apart. He didn’t want to have to deal with it again and so he was going to make sure that it never happened. He wasn’t going to let you leave him, ever. You could tell that he was worried about you leaving, so you tried to comfort him by saying you’d never leave him.
Still, he wouldn’t listen. It didn’t matter what you said, he was never going to let you leave. You didn’t get a pick.
You just let him act in the way that he was, assuming that it made him feel better about everything. You thought that it was just a way for him to make himself feel better. You never thought that he was serious about what he said. You thought he wasn’t being serious, but that wasn’t true. Everything that he said he meant, no matter what it was. He wouldn’t let you leave
You were his and he was going to keep it that way. He made sure to keep you from the other RFA members, as he didn’t want them to try and take you away. They didn’t deserve you, even as a friend. He just wanted you to talk to them over the app. That was even pushing it sometimes, but he knew that if you stopped talking to the others, they would start to suspect that something was wrong. He didn’t want that to happen.
So, he made sure to keep you all to himself in the physical sense. He let you talk to the others, but when it came down to it, you were all his and no one elses. He wouldn’t let anyone else
She was the most subtle of all of the RFA. No one expected anything between the two of you and she was going to make sure that it stayed that way. She didn’t want them to figure it out, in fear one of them would try to take you away. She really worried about Zen trying to take you away from her. He was so handsome and talented, she couldn’t let that happen.
You were hers and she wasn’t very fond of sharing what was hers. She was protective, though she tried to hide it. She didn’t want to seem clingy, in fear that you would leave her for someone else. She wasn’t going to let that happen, no matter what she had to do. She would do anything for you, and she made sure that you knew that.
You loved her, not even really noticing how she acted. You just thought it was a normal girlfriend thing with how she was acting. You hadn’t really dated many people before her, so it all seemed normal for you. Certain dramas had romances like this, so you always just assumed that it was normal. She didn’t make you think that it was anything but. So, it was just how your relationship together was like.
Nothing seemed off to the other members, so they didn’t feel like they needed to look into your relationship together. They didn’t see when Jaehee tried to keep you from going to the party so you wouldn’t see any of the other members. They didn’t hear the conversations the two of you had together on the phone, where she told you that you were suppose to look only at her,
All they saw was the happy outside of the relationship, as if everything was alright and they didn’t have to worry about you at all. It was a shame, since you weren’t able to tell that this relationship was toxic.
He kept you locked in his apartment, making you wear heels that would signal if you went any farther than the kitchen. He wasn’t going to allow you to run away from him. You were his and that was how it was going to stay. You didn’t need anyone else but him and he didn’t need anyone other than you. He always told you this, in case you forgot it. He wanted to make you understand that you didn’t need to run away.
At first you didn’t understand. You were scared and you wanted to run away. He had to punish you multiple times in the beginning before you began to understand how things were going to be now. He knew that it must be hard for you to accept things as your new normal, but he knew that it would only take a certain amount of time. He was ready to wait.
So, that was what he did. He kept you locked in the house while teaching you everything that was normal, or would become your normal. He wasn’t going to let you get away with making mistakes, so he also punished you. Easy at first, but if you kept making the same mistake, his punishments got worse and worse. Since you didn’t want to get punished, you began to do what he wanted you to.
Life wasn’t bad once you did what he told you to. It was actually rather nice to live with him. He gave you only the best of things. The best food, the best clothing, the best entertainment. As long as you didn’t try to run away, it was lovely. He took care of you, and secretly, that had been what you wanted. For most of your life, you had to fight for what you wanted. It was nice to get pampered.
Jumin liked pampering you as well. He thought you of a doll that needed to be protected. The world was too dangerous for you and he was the only one that would be capable of keeping you safe from everything. He didn’t mind. He wanted to do that for you and even more. He wanted to be your everything. He was going to be your everything, no matter what you said about it. You didn’t have a choice.
Seven made sure that the bomb would blow up if anyone but him tried to get into the apartment. He did this so no one would be able to see you except him. He wanted you all to yourself. He had come over and began to live with you in the apartment, saying that he needed to protect you. Nothing was trying to hurt you at the moment, but he was using it as an excuse for him to be able to live with you.
He was rather similar to his normal self when he was just around you. He was funny and stupid at times, always trying to make you laugh at whatever he had said. He was your hero. He wouldn’t want it to be any other way. He loved being this way with you, as it made him feel like he was needed by someone. He wouldn’t let anyone hurt you.
But, when the others looked at your new friendship together, they could tell something was weird. Seven had been messaging the others, telling them that you were safe and that they didn’t need to worry about you. You were safe under his protection. They weren’t sure why he was so confident about what he was saying, He never was this way before, why was he like this now?
A few of them tried to contact you and ask about it, but you didn’t understand what they were saying. You didn’t see that side of Seven. Whenever he talked to you about anything, it was always just him joking and making you feel good. You would never suspect that he was almost threatening the others to stay away from you. You thought that everything was fine.
And Seven was going to make sure that it stayed that way.
Boy, Unknown could be very protective of you. Sometimes it was nice to have someone who would kill for you, but other times not so much. Metaphorically it was nice, but when Unknown came back covered in blood and expected a thank you from you, it wasn’t very fun. You were shocked and scared. You tried to explain to him why you were feeling this way, but he wouldn’t listen to you. He just got angry and walked away.
You still loved him after that incident, but it was an eye-opening for you. He was dangerous. Sure ,you knew it before. It was hard to not notice that with him. But, it wasn’t that it was just dangerous in general. He had a dangerous love that could drive him to do anything. He would even go against the Savior for you. It was rare it would go that far, but if it did, he wasn’t against doing that.
Your opinion on how he acted always changed. Sometimes it was nice to know that he would protect you, but must of the time it was overboard. You could deal with things on your own. You didn’t need him swooping in and making sure others knew not to even deal with you. He caused you to be rather lonely at times, due to him feeling that you would only ever need him.
Sure, you did spend most of the time with him, but it still would be nice to spend time with others. He didn’t want you to even look at other people. It got on your nerves but you just dealt with it since you didn’t want to deal with him when he was angry. All relationships had bumpy patches to them and this was just yours. You were used to it and it didn’t bother you anymore.
You knew that he loved you and you loved him with all of your heart.
Okay so i have this headcanon or a prompt or wish or whatever and it goes like this:
Imagine a new villain in National City, wreaking chaos and destruction, SuperFriends and the DEO are after it but none of them seems to have any success. Kara used her super strength but couldn’t take it down, Alex used her guns and weapons but failed, Winn used his tech smarts to get the thing but couldn’t, James used his Guardian gear, J’onn used his psychic abilities. But no such luck.
They’re all at the DEO trying to hack up a plan to take this thing down when Kara gets a call from Lena.
“Are you okay?” Was how Lena greeted her very-newly claimed girlfriend although they hadn’t told anyone yet. Lena had joined in on a few game nights and everybody seemed to be warming up to her albeit slowly except Winn who had become some sort of a best friend to Lena, the concept of having one, still very strange and unfamiliar to Lena. After having watched all the news broadcasts of the failed attempts to take down the new villain and being scolded by Jess to go home twice, Lena finally decided to check in on her girlfriend and offer her own help.
“Yeah, yeah I’m fine, just really frustrated and angry at not being able to do anything about this new threat”
“I can help” Lena said already thinking up of all the ways she could take this thing down.
“What? No, Lena. You don’t have to worry about this. There’s nothing you can do. Anyways I don’t want you in harm’s way” Kara replied causing Lena to frown. What did Kara mean? Didn’t she think Lena capable of dealing with this threat? Before Lena could argue, Kara had said a quick goodbye and hung up.
Lena stared at her phone still frowning. After a few moments of pondering, she called for Jess and gathered the things she needed.
She’ll show Kara and everyone else. With that thought, Lena Luthor set out to face the newest villain of National City.
*insert Lena being a genius, learning the villain’s weakness, hatching up devices to render him powerless and ultimately defeat him*
Lena coughed a little and walked away from the smoke where a body was lying unconscious. It wasn’t even ten seconds before black vans pulled up and the ‘thud’ alerting Supergirl’s landing was heard. Lena turned around to come face to face with Kara, Alex, J’onn, Winn and James. She stayed rooted to her spot. She was aware of the cameras recording around her. J’onn was the first one to move. He offered Lena a simple firm handshake and nod which Lena presumed was his way of saying either “Thank you” or “Good Job”, she wasn’t sure. The next was, Winn, who gave an excited laugh before bounding towards Lena and giving her a high-five. Before he could say anything and probably bombard Lena with questions, James came forward putting an arm around his shoulders.
“That was amazing, Lena” James remarked, giving Lena his usual charming smile and walking away with Winn wriggling under his arm.
Next was Alex, who kept glancing back at Kara who was still rooted to her spot doing nothing but staring at Lena with slightly wide eyes.
“That was bad-ass, Luthor. But you might want to go talk to that one before she explodes” Alex commented clapping Lena on the back before walking away.
Kara finally seemed to snap out of her stupor and not long after she was standing in front of Lena, her piercing gaze quickly looking Lena up and down. Probably checking for injuries. Lena stood rigid, her arms crossed.
“Never do that again. Understand?” Kara said pulling Lena in a hug. Lena tried resisting but eventually gave in, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend.
“Then never tell me what I can or can’t do” Lena said stubbornly. Kara pulled back looking at her girlfriend with shock before her eyes crinkled and she dissolved into laughter, her voice ringing out even in all the noise surrounding the two of them. The cameras were all pointed in their direction now, all of National City confused with the sight they were seeing.
A Super and A Luthor.
“You are entirely something else, Lena Luthor” Kara exclaimed, looking at the woman in front of her with all the love in the world. Lena’s smirk shifted into a genuine smile when she saw the love and awe in Kara’s eyes.
Both women forgot about the rest of the world in that instant and pulled each other in a searing kiss.
The entire city was enveloped in a silence.
“I KNEW IT! MAGGIE, YOU OWE ME 50 BUCKS” Alex’s voice rang out among the silence before eventually everyone started clapping and hooting for their beloved heroes.
