Hotel Rooms and Postmates
request: hello can you do prompts about spending time with shawn in a hotel room thank you
Dropping the suitcase you were holding, you all but collapsed onto the king-sized mattress in front of you. Joining Shawn on his tour was one of the best decisions you’ve made, aside from the days when you were just traveling on the tour bus. You were an adventerous type, so being cooped up in the bus got to you after a few hours. “You good, hun?” Shawn asked, chuckling when he saw you lying on the bed.
“Tired. Excited to sleep in a real bed tonight.” You spoke, voice muffled from the comforter.
The singer jumped onto the bed next to you, and turned so he was looking at you. “It is a pretty nice bed.”
“Hey, lovebirds,” Andrew knocked on the door frame, since Shawn didn’t close the door when he walked into the room. “There’s nothing on the schedule for today, so the day’s yours. Just like, let Jake know if you go out. Some fans were waiting at the hotel entrance whenever I went to grab another key.”
Shawn rose his hand, giving his manager a thumbs up, before hearing the door close. “What do you wanna do today, hm?” Shawn asked, sitting up and playing with your hair.
“Do you wanna take a walk? Maybe see what the pool looks like?” You asked, wanting to stretch your legs.
“Sounds like a plan.” Shawn smiled, standing up. You two grabbed your hotel keys, and exited the room. Shawn grabbed your hand, and the two of you meandered down to the lobby. Shawn could see some fans loitering outside, and he supressed a laugh. “They’re cute.”
You nodded, agreeing with him. The receptionist glanced outside, and then at Shawn. “If you’d like to go outside, Mr. Mendes, I was told that you’ll need security.”
“Yeah, but we don’t wanna go out right now. Thank you, though.” He smiled, and you two turned to walk down the hall towards the pool.
A few hours later, after returning to your hotel room, you two were just lounging on the bed, legs tangled together, with your head on Shawn’s chest. One of his hands was on your back, lightly scratching it. “What do you wanna do for dinner? We could like, order a pizza? Or try and find a restaurant close by.” Shawn reached over and got his phone, scrolling through the Google search of places to eat.
“I don’t feel like going out.” You spoke, yawning into Shawn’s t-shirt clad shoulder.
Shawn opened his Postmates app, and looked through the nearest places, pulling his bottom lip into his mouth. “Um, ooh, we can get some food from a diner.” He handed you his phone, and you looked over the menu on the app, and nodded. “Sound good?” He asked, and went about ordering the food.
You walked over to your bag, and pulled out the deck of cards you packed in before you joined Shawn on tour. You sat on the floor next to the bed, and started to shuffle the cards. Shawn joined you not too long after, and you two played War until the food came.
After you two had eaten, you were pretty tired, even though you didn’t really do much today. You clung onto Shawn’s side, fingers tracing the tattoo on his forearm. It was something you did quite a lot, and it was one of your mannerisms Shawn loved most. You were drifting off to sleep, not paying attention to the Modern Family rerun that was playing on the tv in front of you. One of the last things you remember before you fell asleep, was Shawn pressing a kiss to your head, and whispering, “goodnight, my love.”
