when the best isn't enough

hi! i was stalking your blog and reading your (amazing) tags and a while back you said that the 'i save you back' thing was your least favourite thing in s3. i was just wondering why? and hey thanks for your blog, you're awesome!!

hiya, thank you so much for these kind words!

first of all, let me start of by saying that I completely understand why the idea of them saving each other is something that a lot of people love and enjoy and I do respect that.

to me, however, season three was very much about being able to love yourself, to save yourself and be your own hero and this is why, personally, I am not a huge fan of the idea of anyone having to save anyone else. saving someone, or feeling like you have to save someone is, in my opinion, quite a dangerous mindset that comes with a huge amount of pressure that can really very quickly lead to an unhealthy relationship. putting Isak and Even in a scenario where someone needs to be saved and someone needs to do the saving, to me, takes away from the fact that Even and Isak are both strong and worthwhile people on their own, who, when it comes down to it, don’t need to be saved by anyone.
