when she takes a breath

i think about the shape of her, the swell of her ribs when she takes a deep breath, the curve of her spine when she’s watching her favorite show. how sometimes in the dark of our room when we’re watching movies i see her turn, just a little, to see if i’m enjoying what’s going on. she asked me once why i was so in love. she said “i feel small”. but it’s the small things that do me in. how she hums in the shower. the way she tests her balance in new heels. the fact just being around her makes everything seem beautiful, surreal.

But could you imagine how iconic the series ending would be if this was the last scene:

The girls are all together to say goodbye to Aria who is about to go on a three week honeymoon with Ezra.
Aria: “guys I’m leaving for three weeks, why is everybody crying?”
All the girls laugh and let out another sob at those words.
Alison looks at her best friends one by one and says, “I guess it feels like it’s the end of something.”
Everyone grabs onto eachother even tighter and nods while fighting back more tears.
Spencer takes a deep breath and speaks up through everyones sobbing, “Even if it really is the end of something, our story will live on in our hearts.” She looks up and smiles at Aria who almost wishes she didn’t have to go on a honeymoon.
“Yeah, well our story will probably also live on in this godforsaking town too for a long time,” Hanna says with her infamous hint of sarcasm in her voice. The girls all laugh at this and look at eachother again once more.
Emily lets her head rest on Alisons’ shoulder as Alison looks at Hanna and then to Spencer. She can’t help but put on her bold smile she was most known for when she was younger, and as she takes a deep breath she says,
“That’s immortality, my darlings.”

THE END

a slip of the tongue.
  • when james deflates his head and matures a bit, he actually manages to become friends with lily evans
  • like, really good friends who have comfortable conversations and make each other laugh, and it’s great, really great
  • but there’s a problem: james is still in love with her
  • like, crazily in love and he tries to hide it, but he automatically smiles when she walks into the room, and his eyes soften when he sees her, and his gaze flickers to her lips when she speaks and he cannot help it
  • and it is painfully obvious to literally everybody… except lily
  • she somehow remains oblivious to the fact that the boy who is quickly becoming one of her closest friends just wants to hold her and run his hands through her hair and tell her every day how desperately in love with her he is
  • (he also wants to push her against a wall and snog her senseless, but that’s neither here nor there)
  • and james can accept things as they are because lily really doesn’t see him in that way and he’s not going to risk losing what they have
  • so he just swallows his feelings and feels like he’s dying a little every day, no big deal
  • but then they’re all in the three broomsticks, squeezed into a smaller booth than normal, and when james ends up next to lily, he’s positive the universe hates him and he’s going to go mad because he’s never been so close to her in his life and it’s simultaneously ecstasy and torture
  • but he manages to play it cool because lily seem completely unperturbed by their proximity (damn)
  • what he doesn’t realise, because she manages to play it cool too, is that lily is actually very aware that james is pressed up against her; they’re literally shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip, knee to knee
  • and it gives her tingles
  • ‘oh,’ she thinks. then it clicks. oh. oh no
  • because it suddenly hits her that maybe the way she’s been thinking about james lately, like admiring his physique in his quidditch uniform or the cute way he adjusts his glasses or the captivating way he runs his fingers through his hair, hasn’t been exactly platonic
  • and now it’s all she can think about; he’s all she can think about
  • and suddenly it’s her turn to try and hide the fact that she’s in love
  • she does about as a good a job of it as james does
  • and he does about as a good a job as her at being oblivious
  • (everyone else in the school is going mad)
  • at the next hogsmeade visit, when they somehow end up alone together because everyone else is conveniently busy, they both try not to make too big a deal about it and fail horribly because it’s a massive deal when you’re in love with the person sitting across the table from you and shit, did this count as a date?
  • but they’re still friends, so they somehow manage to get through lunch despite the romantic and sexual tension between them
  • then james steals some of lily’s food
  • “oi!” she moves to slap the back of his hand, but it’s too late and he laughs as he comes away with a handful of chips
  • she shoots him a murderous glare which just makes him laugh harder and she adores the sound of his laughter so she laughs, too
  • she shakes her head. “you’re incorrigible!”
  • “you love it,” he jokes
  • “i love you,” she says

  • shit
  • shit shit shit
  • they’ve both frozen; james has forgotten how to breathe and lily is wishing she could sink through the floor
  • “do…” he starts, but trails off because he’s scared, terrified, of finishing the question, because maybe she’ll give him an answer he doesn’t want to hear
  • and lily does briefly consider taking it back; she knows she could add, ‘as a friend!’ to the end of that sentence and they could pretend it never happened and everything would go back to the way it was and they could stay friends
  • except she’s so bloody sick of being his friend, she’s so tired of pretending that friendship with james potter is enough for her when it isn’t, it’s never going to be enough
  • so she takes a deep breath before whispering, “yes.”
  • she watches in awe as a familiarly warm grin spreads slowly across his face
  • “you’re the only person i’ve ever been in love with,” he finally admits and when her face lights up, it feels like he’s swallowed a sun
I love making out

But I love everything that comes with it more. Like when you’re taking each other’s clothes off or just pulling them out of the way, not even because you’re in such a hurry to fuck but because you want to feel her skin against your palms while you move your hands around her waist, or because you want to feel the way her ribs get bigger and smaller when she takes deep breathes between kisses or when you run your hands up her back and feel the way her muscles tighten when she pulls herself up to you with her arms around your neck

What Do You Feel | 002

Who: Jughead Jones
What: Riverdale

Part One ||| Part Two

Veronica looked over her shoulder, frowning as she watched [Y/N] laugh and chuck a few french fries in Reggie’s direction. It had been weeks since the whole Jughead and [Y/N] incident and [Y/N] was keeping her distance from her normal group of friends. Turning back around, she reached for her milkshake and fiddled with the straw. “I know the topic of [Y/N] is sort of off limits but I miss her.”

Without missing a beat, Jughead’s eyes snapped up from his laptop, his cold expression icing her bones. Normally, he could tune out his friends but ever since the rift between him and [Y/N], his focus had been all over the place.

Putting her hands up in submission and then crossing them over her chest, she leaned back into the booth, frowning again. “Sorry but I’m just speaking the truth.” Lowering her gaze to the table, she sighed. “She should be sitting here with us, not with the fuckboys and fuckgirls of Riverdale.” Veronica shuddered at the group of people [Y/N] had taken comfort with for the past few weeks.

Kevin avoided Jughead’s ice cold stare, nodding in agreement. “Not trying to throw myself to the wolves but I agree with Veronica.” Running his finger over the faded design of their booth, he flickered a look behind him towards [Y/N]. He could tell that she wasn’t entirely happy by the way her smile would falter just a smidge after she finished her laugh, [Y/N] was extremely easy to read for those who truly knew her.

Archie, who sat directly behind Jughead and the others in a separate booth, chimed in. “It’s weird not having her here. I mean, have you tried talking to her since it happened, Jughead?”

Betty violently turned around, her eyes narrowed with a look that could have killed. She had been there for the aftermath and saw firsthand the broken state it left Jughead in. “Let’s change the subject, guys.” Throwing everyone dirty looks, she changed the topic onto an altercation between her and Cheryl that had happened earlier that day.

Slinging off his helmet from the day’s practice, Archie walked through halls of Riverdale High. Just as he was about to reach the locker rooms, movement at the end of the hall caught his attention. Squinting his eyes, he headed for [Y/N]. He watched as she placed a physics textbook back into her locker, he figured that she had just gotten done with a tutor session. [Y/N] always helped out her classmates whenever they needed an extra hand.

“[Y/N].”

She gasped, clutching the locker door from being startled. “Archie! Shit, you scared me.”

Leaning against the lockers, he frowned slightly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to.”

Pressing her lips together, she tore her eyes from his and started to shove some books into her bag. “Need something?” She finally asked.

“Yeah, I do. An explanation.” He firmly stated.

Closing her locker, she frowned. “Archie,” she warned.

Come on, [Nickname].” Archie pleaded. He hadn’t been lying when he said it had been weird with [Y/N] straying from their friendship. Even his father was noticing the absence of a certain girl.  “It’s been weeks and we’ve barely held a conversation long enough for me to know if you’re okay. We’re best friends or at least I thought we were. I care about you, [Nickname]. You just cut me off, you cut everyone off. I wanted to be there for you.” Archie reached out for her arm as she went to turn away, pulling her back gently, and shaking his head. “You and Jughead can coexist in our lives, [Y/N].”

“Shouldn’t you be at practice,” she asked coldly.

Letting go of her arm, he narrowed his eyes lightly. “It got cut short today.”

Frowning, she looked down, “I’m sorry, Archie. I didn’t mean it like that.” Looking back up, she sighed. Closing her locker, she gave a small smile. “I know you guys wanted to be there for me but I didn’t want to talk about it. I didn’t want you guys defending him and making me feel like I was wrong for ending things.” Adjusting the strap of her bag, she placed her back against her locker. “And to be completely honest if I stuck around, Jughead wouldn’t have. And he really needed you guys more than I did.”

Archie pressed his lips together, [Y/N] had a point. She was easy to get along with, people flocked to her. Jughead wasn’t necessarily a loner but he kept to himself and only trusted those who knew him. And that list wasn’t very long. Giving her a smile, he pulled her into a hug. Squeezing her tight and relishing the time he had left with her. He could tell that tomorrow she’d continue to avoid him.

“Juggie,”

Jughead looked up from his blank screen, finding Betty standing in the doorway of the Blue and Gold room. Clearing his throat, he lowered the laptop. “Yeah?”

Stepping inside, she walked slowly towards him. All Betty wanted was for Jughead to get out of his mood. “How are you feeling?”

Groaning, he ran both his hands over his face and kept them there. “Isn’t that the million dollar question.” Peaking through his fingers, he sighed, “I don’t know.”

Betty sat in front of him, frowning. “You don’t know or you don’t want to say? There’s a difference, Jug.”

Pulling his hands down, he narrowed his eyes. “What?”

Biting her lip, “You love [Y/N], you have to. And I’m not saying that you have to love her. I mean it as there’s no way that you don’t.” Betty had witnessed the romance between her friends happen. It was just a gradual fall. Every day, she’d notice that they’d sit just a little bit closer than the day before, their looks would linger for a second or two longer, and that their smiles were wider by the day. It was such a sweet, innocent kind of love that formed between them. Betty wanted nothing more than to talk about it but she knew that the minute she said something, they’d shy away and never return.

Jughead closed his eyes, “Betty.” He didn’t want to talk about it. He just wanted to forget about it and let it die. If [Y/N] wanted to run off with another group then so be it.

“Why didn’t you tell her how you felt, Juggie? This whole thing could have been avoided and your relationship would’ve been stronger.”

“You wouldn’t understand,” he mumbled.

“Try me, Juggie.” Betty murmured.

Biting down on his thumb, he looked away from her intent gaze. Mumbling, he moved his thumb away from his lips. “When we were all little, my dad used to tell me that I was going to fall in love with her and that he could see it happening years from then.” Betty smiled lightly at the thought of his father calling his romance. Now that she thought about it, it was sort of easy to see that Jughead and [Y/N] would have ended up together all those years ago. They had always been attached at the hip, always supporting each other through everything.“He also told me that girls like [Y/N] were dangerous.”

Betty’s brows knitted together, “I don’t understand.” Of all the people in Riverdale, [Y/N] was the least dangerous, she was always so calm and collected.

Shaking his head, he shrugged. “I didn’t either until I asked him the other day what he meant when he said that.” Running a hand over his beanie, he sighed again. “He kind of looked at me and pieced it all together. I guess I’m not as good at hiding my emotions like I thought I could. He figured out that [Y/N] and I were more than friends and that we broke up. He just looked at me and asked me what I felt and that, that was the reason why she was dangerous.” Meeting Betty’s eyes, he frowned. “How do I tell her words that have never been formed or ever existed. Because that’s what I feel whenever I’m around her.”

Betty placed a warm hand over his, “Then you use words that already exist.”

[Y/N] didn’t know how the fight started or what made it happen, all she did know was that she and Archie walked straight into a fighting ring in the student lounge. Their classmates all cheering and recording Reggie and Jughead brawling in the middle of the room.

Exchanging looks with Archie, they both threw down their books and backpacks. Before Archie had the chance, [Y/N] beat him to it and grabbed Reggie by the back of his shirt and yanked him off of Jughead.

Slinging him away from her, [Y/N] snarled out while Archie quickly helped Jughead up off the ground. “Back off, Reggie.” The crowd quickly dispersed as Archie threateningly told all of them to leave or else there would be another fight.

Reggie scoffed, fixing his shirt from the scuffle. “He had it coming.”

“I think it was the other way around, buddy.” Jughead sneered as he held his bleeding nose. “I hope you choke on all that shit you talk.”

“That’s it, you little-” Reggie went for it but [Y/N] was quicker. Planting her feet firmly on the ground, she shoved him as hard as she possibly could causing him to stumble backwards onto the couch.

“-I said back off, Reggie!” [Y/N] snapped. She was absolutely livid, the fact that Reggie and Jughead were fighting infuriated her. [Y/N] hadn’t been a huge fan of Reggie but she accepted him for his flaws and tried to tolerate him. There were moments where she could see herself being friends with him but after today, she wanted nothing to do with him. Whether Jughead started the fight or not.

“Don’t put your hands on me or-”

“-or what?” Archie growled. Gently grabbing [Y/N]’s arm, he pulled her behind him. Stepping directly in front of his captain, he squinted his eyes. Archie didn’t think Reggie would swing at a girl but he didn’t want to take that chance. Despite [Y/N] avoiding him for the last few weeks, it didn’t matter. He was going to protect his friends no matter who it involved.

Reggie was about to respond but thought against it the second Betty, Veronica, and Kevin all came barging through the door to see the commotion.

[Y/N] was fuming, it was clear to anyone that was watching her that her blood was boiling. The students that were left were all in shock at her current demeanor. She had never shown anger this way not even when Cheryl had it out for her.

Taking a deep breath, she turned around to look at Jughead. He sported some cuts and a profusely bleeding nose. Glancing down at her wrist, she cursed silently, 2:54. The school’s nurse had already packed up and gone home for the day. Reaching over towards the table, she plucked a few tissues from the box and handed them over to Jughead. With her voice low and comforting, she placed a hand on his shoulder, ushering him towards the door. “Come on, let’s go.”

All of her friends exchanged looks, surprised that she was even talking to Jughead. Veronica pursed her lips, leaning towards Betty and quietly whispering. “Do you think this will mean we’ll have [Nickname] back?”

Betty watched carefully as [Y/N] gently guided Jughead past her, “I hope so but I don’t know.”

Leaning down to grab her backpack and books, she heard Reggie scoff, “Yeah, go run back to your little freakshow boyfriend.”

Tightening her grip on Jughead who tensed underneath her, she gave him a look as to not respond. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, her hand left Jughead as she turned to look Reggie in the eyes. “Cry me fucking river, Reggie. It was never going to happen.” Opening the door, she motioned for Jughead to go.

“You would have been a waste of my time anyway.”

Archie lost it, shoving him against the wall, “Hey! Watch that fucking mouth!”

Rolling her eyes, she gave Archie a smile, feeling stupid for shutting her friends out of her life. “Thanks Arch but,” looking at Reggie, she wore a look of disgust on her face. “you can only offend me if you mean something to me and Reggie, honey, you aren’t worth a damn thing to me.”

The silence was killing him, but he didn’t dare speak a word. Jughead just sat quietly in the nurse’s office while [Y/N] sneakily shuffled through the cabinets. Looking up when she kneeled down in front of him, he met her eyes. A sharp pain shot through his chest because all he wanted was to kiss her and tell her how much he had been an idiot for not going after her.

Biting her lip, [Y/N] handed him a wet rag to wipe his bloody nose. Watching him clean himself, she started to work on the cut just above his right eyebrow. After a few minutes of unbearable silence, she finally stood up and asked the question she had been dying to ask. “Why were you two fighting?”

Jughead debated on responding, but knew that he could never really shun her out the way she did with him. Looking down at his hands, he shrugged. “Just said some things I didn’t like.”

“Like?” She pushed.

He stood up too, walking past her and leaning against the nurse’s counter. “It’s Reggie, [Y/N]. He says shit all the time and it just pissed me off.” Avoiding her raised brow, he mumbled. “He was just talking about you.”

Tilting her head, she stood in front of him, with her arms crossed. “Saying what exactly?”

Taking a deep breath, he met her gaze. “That he was this close to sealing the deal with you. That he was going to take you to one of the rooms during Cheryl’s party tomorrow night.” Breaking their eye contact, he gave an irritated sigh, “It just made me snap because the thought of you-” Jughead quickly closed his mouth. He didn’t want to go there. He wasn’t ready.

Moving closer, she raised a brow. “The thought of me what? The thought of me losing my virginity to Reggie made you upset?” [Y/N] shook her head, her hands grabbing his. Her movement caused Jughead’s head snap up and look her in her eyes.

Nodding, he chewed on his lip. “Yeah.”

“Oh, Jug.” Dropping her hands from his, she brought one up to caress his cheek. “I already told you that you were the only one I wanted to claim it.”

“Yeah but that was before you broke up with me.” He said coldly.

Pulling back her hand, she nodded. “Yes but,” trailing off, she scoffed at the idea of Reggie having her virginity and the idea that he thought he could take it. “you couldn’t have possibly believed that I would let Reggie Mantle of all people-”

“-it wasn’t that, [Nickname].” Jughead interrupted, getting slightly frustrated. Gently pushing past her, he paced a few steps before turning around to look at her confused expression. “It was the way he was talking about you, [Y/N]. Like, like you were some kind of score. A thing that could be won. You aren’t an item, [Nickname]. You’re a person, a person with feelings, a person with feelings that broke up with someone who also had feelings he couldn’t explain.”

“Well,” biting her lip, “it means a lot that you’d stick up for me but,” she motioned towards his bruised eye and cuts, “was it worth bucking up to the Captain of the football team, Jug? I mean you got some really good licks in but not enough evidence on his face to back it up.”

“I wasn’t going to sit there and let him say those things about you, [Y/N].” Shaking his head, he scoffed, “It was a matter of time before Archie heard them and then what?”

Sighing, [Y/N] stepped forward. Throwing her arms around his neck, she pulled him in close. Her grip tightened when she felt him embrace her back. Fighting back tears, she whispered out. “I miss you, Juggie.”

Closing his eyes, he breathed, “I miss you too.”

Pulling away just enough for her to look him in the eyes, she murmured, “Can we take baby steps? I’m not completely over the fact that you can’t tell me what you feel but I guess I have to accept that we just work better without words but I need to go slow.”

Jughead couldn’t resist kissing her, both of his hands flew up her cheeks and pulled her into a kiss. It lasted for a few seconds but it was enough to give him courage for what he had to say next. Resting his forehead against hers, he sighed lightly. “I know that wasn’t slow but I just want you, [Nickname]. That’s it. Nothing else but your flaws, mistakes, laughs, jokes, sarcasm, everything. I didn’t know what I felt until you walked away because everything I ever felt with you was normal. I had never felt any other way before. And then when you walked away. I felt broken. I felt like my entire world came crashing down around me and now…now I understand those lame sappy sad songs about broken love.” He chuckled with her, suddenly feeling a little bit better after hearing her giggle.

“Juggie,” she breathed.

“Love isn’t supposed to be easy. It’s supposed to be worth it and no one else is worth an ounce of my attention besides you. Years from now when we’ve said goodbye to this shit town, I want to look at you by my side and think how lucky I am to have kept you this long.”

[Y/N] couldn’t respond, she was choked up. This was what she wanted to hear. That Jughead had the same exact plans as she did, that she wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Smiling, she pressed her lips against his.

I didn’t see her love, I felt it plainly as the sun. -atticus

His Family Doesn’t Like You

She was nervous and he could tell. They had been dating for eight months when Harry asked her to live together. He bought them a house in LA, she wanted to stay in America and LA was the compromise. His family already hardly saw him and so when he made the move they weren’t happy.

Then Anne read somewhere that Harry had paid off her loans, and he had. Anne had read that her son paid for the mortgage on the house all on his own, and he had. Gemma had read that her brother bought her a car, which he had, but none of them knew that she refused the car, the loans, the house.

None of them knew how much she hated that Harry gave her everything, and she could give him nothing. They all saw her as a gold digger, which was far from it. She worked hard to pay off as much as she could before Harry got a hold of her loans, she hid the bills, she did her best. But Harry snooped and found them and paid them off, it was one of their biggest fights, but no one knew. Because if she complained she seemed ungrateful, and if she didn’t she was seen as a gold digger, she couldn’t win.

He did buy their house, but she helped out. She paid bills, she paid for groceries and furniture, she really did try. And when Harry bought her the car she stood her ground, he claimed her 2004 Ford would only take her so far, and she reminded him as long as it took her from point a to point b she would be fine, when she had to reach point c they would talk.

So when their house was all set and it looked just how she wanted, Harry asked to have a house warming party. He wanted his friends to see his new life, he wanted to show off the house, the cars, but more importantly he wanted to show her off. When his family heard they offered to fly out, they wanted to meet the girl he moved across countries for, they wanted to meet the girl who was draining his bank account.

Harry could tell she was nervous, she stood next to him, her hand gripping her glass. She insisted on not drinking and settled for sparkling cider, she was never much of a drinker and she didn’t want to risk being buzzed or drunk in his families presence. Harry squeezed her hand, his free one gripping his beer, his friends and her friends were all gathered around in the house and backyard. The grill was up and running and Niall offered to be in charge.

“You’ll be fine Y/N, I promise. I love you how can they not love someone I love?” Harry smiled, his thumb rubbing circles on her palm.

She took the last sips of her cider and set the empty glass down, “’m not good when I meet people,” she mumbled, “I get all shaky.”

“You’ll be fine, they’re lovely people,” Harry chuckled.

“I know they raised you,” she smiled, going up on her toes to kiss his cheek.

“Harry!” He heard his mother voice call, when he turned from his spot on the deck he saw her.

Anne stood by the door with Gemma, a wide grin on her face. She rushed over hugging Harry, Gemma followed her actions, “thank you for flying us out,” Anne says, “we just left our stuff in the living room Jeff offered to take it up stairs, he’s a wonderful man.”

“Yeah,” Harry agreed, “mum, Gem, this is Y/N,” Harry tugged on her arm lightly, pulling her in front of him.

She smiled softly, “hello,” she says gently, “I’m Y/N it’s so nice to meet you.”

“Anne,” Anne says, her voice isn’t as soft as it was when she talked to Harry, it was slightly cold and she didn’t enjoy the way Anne’s look seemed to have hardened as well.

“I’m Gemma,” Gemma faked a smile, holding out her hand.

She shook it and the clamped her hands together, “how was your flight?” she asked.

“It was fine,” Anne’s answer was short and simple.

It was silent and the air felt different, she peeked up at Harry, “Y/N just got accepted to the medical program at Stanford, in just a couple of years she’ll be a doctor,” Harry says, wrapping his arm around his girlfriend.

“So I assume you’ll be working all the time to pay that off?” Anne asked, her eyebrow raised.

“Oh-well-I got a scholarship-and uh some-”

“It doesn’t matter,” Harry cut her off, “baby will you get me another beer? This one is warm.”

She nods, “would you guys like anything?”

“No.”

She turns making her way to the kitchen. She grabs the beer, taking in a deep breath. When she composes herself she walks towards the door but stops, Harry stands on the other side, his back to her as he talks to his family.

“I just don’t get a good vibe from her Harry,” Gemma says softly.

“She just wants money,” Anne whispered, “how can you not see that?”

“No she doesn’t-”

“Harry if a guy paid my loans, bought me a house, a car, medical school, and clothes I would stay with him as well, she likes you for your money,” Gemma says, her hand resting on Harry’s arm, “her intentions aren’t good. I’m sure she got into Stanford because of you, she’s using the benefits.”

“You guys don’t know her,” Harry snapped.

And he was right, they didn’t know her. They didn’t know how she worked three jobs to save up to try and be the one to pay for their bill, they didn’t know how stressed Harry was every night you had a late shift. They didn’t know how much effort she put into school, into work, and then to come back home and help Harry cook. They didn’t know how Harry watched her fall asleep at the dinning table after she had worked, gone to school, worked another shift, and if she beat him home she would cook. They didn’t know how all of winter break she spent it working because she wanted to repay Harry for the loans and when she tried he refused.

“I have money, I have so much I don’t know what to do with it, I paid your loans Gem, I have everything I need, I hate watching her work all the fucking time to pay off something I could do in a second. I hate her working three different jobs so she can buy a damn dress to show up to one of my parities when I could buy it for her and she can spends that time with me rather than serving some strangers in a diner or working at a clothing store,” Harry stated, “I love her and that’s why I do it. She doesn’t ask me for these things, I do them because it makes her less stressed. I do it for her.”

“Y/N is using you,” Anne whispered, “and now she’s taken you away from your family. Harry honey, I’ve been your age, I’ve been in love and I was blinded by it. Please just take a minute and think about it, really think about it.”

“She’s a gold digger,” Gemma says.

And that’s when she’s break, the small sob that had been forming in her throat leaves her mouth, her hand reaching up to try and muffle it, but they all turn. She quickly turns, pushing through people and running up the stairs to their shared bedroom. She turns, locking the door behind her and pressing her back to it.

“Y/N,” Harry says softly, knocking on the door, “baby, please let me in.”

“I-I just need a minute,” she sniffled, “I-uh-I spilled something.”

“Y/N I know you heard,” Harry says, “please open up.”

She pulled open the door and Harry pushes it, forcing himself in. He frowns seeing her in the state, her eyes red, cheeks pink and puffy, tears are evident and she reaches up wiping them quickly.

“We should go back to the party, I’m a little hungry,” she whispered, pulling the end of her cardigan and wiping the under parts of her eyes, “if my makeup smudged?”

“Baby,” Harry says, reaching for her, “I’m sorry. They have no idea what they’re talking about.”

“Please don’t,” she pulls away, “I just need-Harry it’s your family. I can’t come in between that I just-I can’t.”

“They’ll come around,” Harry says, “I’ll talk to them. Don’t-I know what you’re trying to do.”

“I can still apply to live in campus and maybe this will give us space-”

“No!” Harry yelled, running a hand threw his hair, “please. Just-y/n baby, please don’t say that.”

“Harry-”

“Just give it time, I can talk to them, they can see the real you, not the you the media portray’s,” Harry pleads.

He reaches out for her once more and she doesn’t pull back. His arms wrap around her and she rest her head on his chest, “I love you,” Harry whispered, “and that’s all that matters.”

“I love you too,” she whispers into his shirt, “so much.”

“I know,” he nods, running a hand through her hair, “I know baby.”

They stand there, enjoying their embrace. Until she pulls away, tugging at her dress, making sure she looks decent, “we should go back,” she says, “I should probably take out the dessert so people can start to wrap it up.”

“I’ll talk to them,” Harry promises, “I love you.”

“I love you more,” she giggled, as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind her, “Harry we have to go back downstairs!”

He rocks her side to side, picking her up, she laughs, “Harry!”

“I just want you to go downstairs in a good mood,” he admits, setting her down, but keeping his grip on her, “why don’t you go help Niall huh?”

“Okay,” she nods.

They make their way downstairs and she walks towards Niall at the grill. Harry leans against the wall watching her, “Harry,” Gemma says, walking up to him, a beer in her hand, “can we talk about this.”

“If you and mum are staying here, in our house, you will follow or rules,” Harry snaps, turning to the two of them, “treat her the way you want to be treated. You want to be cold towards her? Fine, but that will only create distance between us.”

Harry stands across from her with his hands tangled in his hair, his lips a deep cherry red from how much he’s bitten on them, and his eyebrows narrowed to form a line between each other.

“Maybe we are better off apart…” The dreaded words seep out of her mouth. Harry immediately shakes his head, disagreeing wholeheartedly. There is not a doubt in his mind that they belong together, he’d even go as far as saying that they were soulmates. The connection they shared was magnetic, and he’d be a fool to let her slip away from him.

Bare

Hey guys! This took me so long to write and I hope you enjoy it! Wanted to make it as relatable and realistic as I could, so I would love to know what you think! This is also super long, you’ve been warned!

Oh and… smut ahead ;)

Toronto, 23:12 p.m.

It’s late and Jo is so tired she feels like passing out at the kitchen table. She stares at her textbook but the paragraphs seem to blur in front of her eyes and she frowns, trying to decipher her notes on public international law. Her eyelids are heavy and she stifles a yawn, rubbing her eyes.

Shawn is sitting across from her, a focused look on his face while listening to demos, one headphone in, nibbling on his bottom lip, looking at the screen of his MacBook.

Jo normally loves evenings like this. Her and Shawn working until the morning hours, engulfed in their passions.

She loved how they would bring out the best out of each other, supporting each other, staying up so late to get that song done or finish that paper for uni.

anonymous asked:

how do you think alpha bucky would react to his mate being in heat? Reader x bucky please?

I’ve never written A/B/O before, sorry if I don’t do it any justice! Slightly smutty? More so just talk. xo

Bucky’s day had been long, he wanted nothing more than to climb into bed with Y/N and curl up with her all night. Steve had him training all day, learning how to function with the new prosthetic limb Tony had installed for him. Sweat was still clinging to his damp skin when he walked out of the elevator in the tower, his shirt suctioning to his chest.

Bucky wasn’t expecting it at first. Wasn’t expecting the permeating smell of a desperate omega in heat. Wasn’t expecting to be engulfed in the scent of an omega who only wanted an Alpha to ravish them.

He had to pause his walk for a moment, his Alpha tendencies taking over as his eyes fluttered close and he took a long whiff from the air. His breath catches in his throat as he inhales the smell of the omega. An omega in heat. His omega in heat.

“Maybe I should have stepped in and helped her out while you were gone.” Nat smirks from her door, intentionally inhaling the same air that holds Bucky’s mate’s scent. “Man, what I could’ve done to her.” He growls at her, barring his teeth as he holds his gaze on her.

Nat shuts the door, taking one last teasing sniff before she shuts herself in her apartment. It takes Bucky all of two seconds to sprint the rest of the way down the hall, banging his shoulder into the door as he fumbled with the lock panel.

God, if Bucky wasn’t so angry with Nat he would’ve realized the straining erection in his pants by now.

Once he manages to type the pin into the screen, the door opens easily under the weight of his metal hand. He takes a few steps in, trying to calm his breathing when he’s wrapped in the smell of his mate.

Honey crisp apples and autumn air – her smell was always intoxicating.

Bucky remembers the first time he caught a whiff of her, hair pinned up, scent gland on display as she walked around Tony’s party without so much as looking at an alpha. She smelt like home, comforting and reassuring. He knew then that she was the one from the instant he smelt her.

“Babydoll?” Bucky calls throughout the apartment, sniffing the air to follow the distinct trail that would lead him to his girlfriend. He stops the sling his shirt into the laundry room before walking over to the closed bedroom door.

A small whimper catches his ear, the serum enhancing his already pristine Alpha senses. He clasps the knob in his hand, pushing it open with little effort.

“Shit, doll.” He groans, swallowing the lump in his throat to take in the sight in front of him. His girl, his mate, pleasuring herself with her bottom lip tucked neatly between her teeth. Her eyebrow are worried together, fingers working circles across her clit.

Her eyes open for a moment, no doubt smelling Bucky’s musky scent. “Buck,” She hiccups, gasping as she quickens her hand. “Please, help. Want your knot.” She purrs, rolling her hips.

“Patience, baby.” Bucky chides, kicking his shoes into the corner of the room. He’s always been one to tease his omega, despite how annoyed she got when he did. “Breathe, i’m gonna take care of you.”

Y/N whines, popping her bottom lip from her mouth. “Buck, no teasing. Not today, can’t – fuck – not now.” She’s whimpering, her heat completely overtaking her body.

“My pretty little omega. So, so gorgeous.” Bucky admires, walking over to the bed to lean over his girl. He places his metal hand next to her head, rubbing his flesh thumb over her jaw. “Gonna fuck you so good, tire you out.”

He swats her hand away from between her legs, slotting a sweatpants clad leg there instead. “Already so wet for me, baby. Should’a told me this morning that you were expecting your heat, would’ve stayed here with you today.” He murmurs.

“Was a bit earlier than I expected.” She huffs, dragging her lips across Bucky’s as she speaks. “Shocked you couldn’t smell it.”

Bucky nods, pressing his leg down into her. “Smelt something this morning, figured you were in pre-heat or somethin’. But I’m here now and we’re not leaving this bed until you get my knot, baby doll.”

Y/N nods eagerly up at him, hands winding around his broad shoulders to tug him down. Bucky grins, pressing his lips against hers to taste the sweetness of her chapstick.

“Gonna take real good care of you, babydoll. My sweet little omega.”

Laughing Bucky shook his head before walking over to the two of you and taking Emily into his arms. “Of course she can.” He said, glancing over at you and threw you a subtle wink.

Smiling to yourself you look up to see the man, who you assumed was Clint and gave him a small wave.

He smiled back at you before looking at his phone and looked back at the three of you. “Well I would love to stay at chat but I gotta go to work. See you guys later.” He said giving you all a small wave before he ran out the door.

gets a lil’ steamy at the end ;)

She sat in the middle of the Salvatore living room, a warm log fire crackling behind her and sending up flickering orange embers. She was in the middle of the lounge, legs folded over the plush carpet, head bent down in concentration, a thin layer of sweat gathering across her brow. She wore old and ripped black skinnes with a plain white tee, her hair tied up in a messy knot atop her head, strands sticking out here and there. A series of curse words tumbled off her pouted lips, her eyes fluttering open as she growled and grabbed the unlit candle in front of her before promptly sending it flying across the room and smashing into the wall. She breathed in the warm and woody scent of the open room, coming to her feet and narrowing her eyes as they landed on a concerned looking vampire.

“What do you want?” she snapped at Damon before blowing a piece of hair from her eyes.

His dark hair was messy, smoldering eyes avoiding hers, glass of bourbon in hand, as usual.

He pursed his lips, fingers fidgeting, obviously nervous as he responded, “I know you’ve been having some trouble getting your magic to work…”

“And?” she stood her ground, toes sinking into the fluffy carpet.

“I know I can’t really do anything to help you,” he started.

Her brilliantly bright eyes narrowed, and she bit at the inside of her cheek with worry, “you didn’t.”

“He can help you.”

Her heart dropped in her chest, anger flaring as she took three strides forward with her eyes locked on his shameful expression. Suddenly, the glass in Damon’s hand exploded, sending shards everywhere, and liquid pouring across his front. It sliced red into his skin, which healed itself at once, but didn’t wipe that shocked look off his face.

“You still want to tell me you have everything under control?” he growled under his breath.

She turned her back to him, eyes closing as she took in a deep breath, instant guilt settling in, hands running agitatedly through her hair.

“Look, Damon, I’m sor-” she turned back, eyes coming open and landing on someone who was most certainly not a Salvatore.

“Hey, princess.”

Kai was bent against the wooden door frame, arms folded across his chest, blue eyes drinking her up with a flick of his tongue against his rounded lips. He wore a dark tee with a bluish grey flannel, and it matched those eyes, she thought. His hair was perfectly smoothed up, eyebrows raised as a familiar smug expression settled across his infuriatingly perfect features.

“Kai,” she growled.

“Don’t sound so happy to see me,” he said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

“I’m not,” she insisted.

His eyes narrowed, and he smiled to himself, “mhm, sure.”

“I have this under control,” she said, eyes pulling away from his.

“Say it one more time, and you might actually believe yourself,” he chuckled with a couple steps forward.

She clenched her jaw, and it pulsated lightly as she did her best to keep grounded.

“Aw, did I make you mad?” he said, picking up on this as well as the flare of her cute little nostrils.

“Leave,” she breathed, refusing to look at him.

“No,” he responded, coming closer to her, only a few steps away now.

“LEAVE,” she demanded, the fire in the grate flaring up to twice it’s size as she said it, her anger flooding into her magic without ease.

Suddenly his hands were on hers, fingers locking gently around her wrists, the familiar buzz of magic from his skin sending electrical currents into hers. As he held her, he worked her through the rush, and the fire slowly sunk down, resuming it’s natural glow and flicker after only a second. She took in a raspy breath, eyes opening again to meet Kai’s, her body going into overdrive from the close contact.

“I’m sorry,” she said again, gulping down the lump in her throat.

His lips twitched lightly before splitting into his familiar and goofy grin, “your emotions,” he smiled, dimples lighting his cheeks.

“What about them?” she asked, aware that his hands were still resting against her flesh.

“They’re all over the place,” he said. “That’s why your magic has been all over the place. Your emotions make you have this lack of focus that either results in you doing too little or doing too much.”

“Oh,” she said with disbelief.

He shook his head and dropped her wrists with a chuckle, “you can’t stand when I’m right.”

Kai waved his hands, and the broken candle reformed and zoomed back into place on the carpet, still flameless. The girl sunk onto her knees to sit on the carpet, and Kai towered over her and walked circles around her like predator after prey.

“Light it,” he commanded.

She shot a glare up at the heretic, who only winked in response. Sighing with exasperation, she focused back on the candle, mind buzzing as she urged a flame to appear, feeling more hopeless by the second when it remained stagnant. She bit her tongue, trying again and taking a sharp breath in when absolutely nothing happened.

“That’s what I thought,” Kai said, stooping down to her level.

“Going to mock me?” she hissed.

“No,” he blinked in surprise, sounding genuinely honest.

She didn’t say anything, she only pursed her lips and gave a small nod.

“Relax,” he encouraged softly, “don’t work yourself so hard.”

Kai trailed a finger in the air, and as he did so her hair came undone and went spilling in loose waves across her shoulders. Then he traced a little swirling motion with his slender fingers, which caused her shoulders to settle and body to ease into relaxation. The pressure on her chest seemed to lift, the heat inside of her dissipating. He nodded, approving of his work and smiling at her adorable and confused expression.

“Good,” he said, moving around to come behind her.

Kai got on his knees behind her, the tiniest of gaps between their bodies as he sunk into her back, hands wrapping around her body from behind and sliding up her arms, cool silver rings grazing her skin as his fingertips drew gently to her palms.

“Close your eyes,” he breathed soothingly, “and try again.”

So she did. Her eyes closed, fingers separating as she took in a deep breath. But as she did so, Kai’s overpowering scent entered her lungs, and her mind instantly went into a haze as she drowned in the smell of pine trees and dark spices. His soft flannel wrapped around her as he did, and she couldn’t help but find herself wanting to bury her face into the cozy fabric that pressed into her. Worst of all was that feeling of his chest pressing hard into her back, his heart thumping softly as his breath came trickling across her skin.

“Y/N?” he asked, giving her wrists a gentle squeeze. “What’s wrong?”

She tried with all her might to ignore Kai and get the flame to spark, but it wouldn’t budge.

“I’m having trouble…focusing,” she mumbled under her breath, eyes closing as she gave another attempt.

She could almost hear the smirk in his voice when he responded, “why’s that?”

She tried to formulate a clever response, but was met with nothing, so chose to ignore him. She shook her head, eyes narrowing as she embraced Kai’s closeness rather than getting distracted by it, and just like that-

“Impressive,” he smiled.

A flame burst to life, flickering gold and red and dancing side to side.

She let out a happy little giggle, “it worked!”

“See? Your emotions,” Kai persisted.

“Or I just figured it out,” she said to the candle, fully aware that Kai was still wrapped around her.

“Magic is driven by emotion, little witch,” he purred softly into her ear, “and if you don’t believe it when I say it, maybe you will when you feel it.”

Kai’s voice had dropped low, and her eyes latched to his momentarily, her head turning to the side as his eyes darkened. The heretic pushed his hands further down, so that his fingers now came lacing through her own, his magnificent blue eyes darting between her own eyes and lips. He bent in closer, force fully pressed into her backside as he breathed across her skin.

“It can be driven by joy, anger, sadness, and even…” he trailed off.

She swallowed the lump in her throat, heart hammering as he dipped his lips inwards.

“Desire,” he finished.

He let her make the decision, which she didn’t think for two seconds about before delving into his lips. Her mouth came crashing against his, a new wildfire starting, but this one inside of her body. Kai squeezed her hands as he rocked his hips lightly into her backside, earning a soft noise of approval from her. He liked the sound a lot, he wanted to hear it again, he thought. Their lips worked in sync, fast and hungry, but this position not being enough for her, she flipped the heretic onto his back and climbed over his chest, straddling him as she shook her hair back and brought her hands sliding across his chest. His hands went flying up, cold rings to her flesh as he went about seizing her head and forcing her back down to his lips, her own hands finding their way into his brown locks. Each brush of their flesh sent a wave of ecstasy like magic into each other’s bloodstream, the need to taste and feel it all rising in their chests. She rolled her hips softly against him, causing Kai’s mouth to fall open, at which point her tongue found it’s way into his mouth. Kai growled with hunger, mouths refusing to part as they both kissed until they had no breath left, each waiting to see if they could hold out longer than the other. His hands went sliding around her thighs and squeezing them roughly, about to hook into them when the two were suddenly aware of a burning sensation. A huge ring of fire had erupted from the candle alone, the magic bursting out from her because of her hunger and lust being all over the place, and it now swarmed their bodies, engulfing the carpet and crawling closer. The girl cursed, having no idea what to do as she stared at the fire with panic, but then she felt Kai’s slender fingers trail across her cheek, and she looked back down at him. He signalled to take a deep breath with him, so she did, closing her eyes and focusing on him, opening them soon after to a fire-less room. Kai blinked up at her with admiration, a proud smirk forming on his lips, blue eyes crinkling with knowing.

Helping Hand

To say you didn’t get a wink of sleep that night would be an understatement. Peter Parker… His name sounded familiar.. Almost. You rolled over underneath your covers, plugging in your ear phones hoping some soft tunes will lull you to sleep. Of course unknowing about the surprise you were about to receive tomorrow.

You woke to the smell of waffles. Hoping out of bed quickly, you raced to your bedroom, quickly having a shower. Only spending 10 minutes in there, you get changed then whip out of your bedroom. You walk down the stairs and into the kitchen, grab an apple from the fruit ball.

“Morning hun” Your mom greeted you cheerily. You smiled through your food and she laughs. She sets a plate in front of you with two waffles and syrup.

“What’s the special occasion?” You ask. Normally waffles were only done occasionally. Your mum shrugs your shoulders and turns back to her waffles.

“Okay your being weirdly quiet” You state through your mouthful of food.

“Eat with your mouth closed please young lady” You smirk and raised your chin and let a bit of maple syrup run down before quickly wiping it off with the back of your hand.

“Your in a good mood this morning” You have no idea.

“Yeah, I am actually” You finish saying once your swallowed your food with a smile on your face. She looks down at her food and twiddles a bit of it with her fork.

“Wouldn’t have anything to do with.. a boy maybe?” She asks not so subtly. You almost choke on your glass of water but refrain. You set it down before turning to your mother wide eyed.

“Why do you think it’s a boy? It could be a girl, you never know mom” You state cheekily poking your tongue out at her. She laughs and shakes her head at your teenage antics. You quickly looked to the clock and realised you were going to be late. You quickly lean over the counter and give her a kiss on the cheek.

“See you!” You called out over your shoulder as you head for the front door.

“You too! See you later ‘Bug Boy!’” You froze. Damn. You turn around slowly to see her sitting there with a smirk.

“I can explain-” You begin before she points towards the door.

“School. now” She says with a smile. You smile back nervously and walk out the front door. You make your way over to your jeep, it was very old but you found the car’s personality appealing, yes your car had a personality.

~At school

You rush to your locker, quickly putting in your code before grabbing your books for calculus. Slamming the door shut quickly you see Liz out of the corner of your eye.

“Hey Y/N!” she greets with a hug. You return it happily and begin to strike up a conversation as you both made your way to calculus.

#Peter’s pov

I rush over to my locker, putting in my combination before grabbing out my physic books when I felt something touched my shoulder.

“Join me as we build the new lego death star” Ned said from behind me using his 'yoda’ voice. I turn around surprised with a huge smile.

“Dude no way!” I respond excitedly, we have been waiting for the death star to come out for ages!

“Lame” I sigh at the comment from the cheerleaders behind us.

“That’s awesome!” I say to Ned totally stoked. This has seriously got to be the best day ever!

“Yeah so I was thinking tonight after your stark internship of course I could start building it, you know while your at the stark internship and get most of it done then pop around to yours-” By this point I have zoned Ned out completely. In front of us was Liz and… Y/N? I scrunch my eyebrows slightly confused. Since when were they friends?

But that wasn’t what confused me the most… What confused me the most was when I saw Liz I felt nothing… normally i feel like she takes my breath away but seeing Y/N… She took my whole oxygen source.

“Yeah that’d be great”

Y/N's pov#

“I swear if I have to sit through one of Mrs Larbs (Im sorry I had to) lectures again I might just kill myself” I over exaggerate. Plonking myself down on the seat in between Liz and Jenny.

Unfortunately we were currently in gym class, the only class really were all year levels shared the same class, apart from sporting teams and the decathlon club.

“Okay let’s make this lesson fun then, for Y/N’s sakeeee” Liz says dramatically throwing an arm around your shoulder. You sigh in content and lean causing you both to laugh.

“I have an idea!” Jenny speaks up.

“Let’s play-”

“You say truth and day one more fucking time Jenny I swear to god I’ll throw you on a mat and make you do crunches myself” you say half jokingly. Her face slightly grows nervous cause if there was anything she hated doing, it was crunches.

“You know getting yourself so worked up like that isn’t healthy and isn’t good for your brain cells” Jenny retorts with a smirk causing Liz to 'ooohhhhh’ from beside you. You just smiles and shake your head letting out a chuckle.

“So Jenny, what is this ingenius game of yours?” You as mischievously starting to giggle.

“Kiss, Marry or fuck… Avengers edition” Jenny says with a smirk. You shake my head, smiling.

“No’'

’'Oh come onnnnnn” Liz groans from beside me.

“Okay Liz you first!” Jenny says excitingly, gathering a small crowd around.

You begin to daze off, your eyes scanning over the entire gym. There was nothing special about it really… apart from the fact that Flash yet again was showing off. You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at him knowing he wasn’t even worth it. Ever since second grade when he spilled his custard all over you on purpose you’ve kinda been frenemies. Darting your eyes across to the group of people on the mat doing sit ups, you notice one girl lying down lifting her book to and from her face. You laugh.

“Good going Peter!” Wait what? You head turned to the sound of the familiar name being spoken. What are you talking about, there are like at least 20 Peter’s in your school. Your eyes follow over to the coach who was next to these two guys. You couldn’t see their faces seeing their backs where to you. You looked down, beginning to remember details from last night.

It was weird, the sensation, you couldn’t describe it. It was so… foreign. You’ve never felt like this before and you weren’t sure if that was a good thing. Well yeah you’ve had a boyfriend before but nothing serious and you rarely ever got crushes. You were one of those people to crush on celebs rather than the people who go to your local highschool. In your opinion celebs where just smarter, wiser, nicer and hotter

A feeling you definitely didn’t miss was the zoo in your stomach. It was so bad that it actually almost physically wanted to make your hurl. I mean how could anyone like that feeling? It was like every time I could feel his breath, or when his skin came into contact with mine, I felt this… fire. Oh god this is so stupid

“Yo Y/n?” You look up to see Liz looking at you with her eyebrows furrowed. You shake clear of your thoughts.

“Yeah?” you ask. In the distance you heard a thud, almost sounding like someone falling. All your heads snapped around to the sound to see it was one of the guys you were looking at the back of earlier on the ground.

“Couldn’t get enough of the floor Penis Parker? At least take it out to dinner first before you go down on it!” Flash yells out causing a small erupter of laughs to echo in the gym. Parker? Wait, Penis Parker? Is that actually someones na-

Oh no. No, no, no god wouldn’t do this to you.

“So Y/N, Thor, Hulk or Spiderman?” Liz asks. You were confused. Unfortunately you were still looking at the boys back as he began to rub his head slightly. His friend however seemed to notice and pointed in your direction. You quickly advert your guys. Gosh why were your palms sweating? What the hell. And why did it feel like suddenly I woke up a restless monster inside my stomach?

“What?” You ask.

“Thor, Hulk or Spiderman?” Liz asks again, giving you a funny look. You shook your head, still slightly confused.

“If you could fuck, Marry and kiss them which one of them would go with which?” She asks. You could feel your throat immediately begin to close up. Almost like you were feeling claustrophobic.

“Are you okay?” She asks concerned. You nod your head in response, but you felt far from okay, you felt on edge. And you only ever felt on edge when you were near… him.

“Wait so you got bitten on a school trip?” You ask from your desk chair, spinning around to face 'bug boy’.

“Yeah and the spider was only about this big” He said showing you with his hands. You began to laugh again. He grabbed one of your cushions of your bed from where he was currently sitting and threw one at you. You ducked your head and came up with fake surprise on your face.

“How dare you want to hurt your nurse Bug boy! If I die so do you Spidey” This sent you and Bug Boy through a fit of laughter.

“Okay so the spider bit you-”

“Yeah and it hurt to, so bad that I fainted” You laughed again. You threw your head back and laughed. You laughed so much you could feel tears welling up in the corner of your eyes. You rest your head back on the back of your chair and stare at him.

“You weren’t the one bit! I swear this one had like superpowers or something so when he bit it made me pass out from like shock or something!”

“You know for a genius you ain’t sounding very genuisy” You mock playfully. He grabs another cushion and hurls at you, this time it hitting you in the face. It came at you so fast you didn’t have time to prepare. You began to laugh.

“Holy hell how did you throw that so quick” You state in between your laughter.

“Like I said, spider - superpowers, bite - superpowers - me’'

"Are you high?” You ask half seriously not understanding a word what he was saying. He threw his head back and laughed then groaned.

“Wait, wait, wait I think I get it” You state after thinking about it for a bit.

“Are you saying that maybe.. after being bit from this spider you developed its… abilities?” You asked amazed. How cool would that be!

He stared at you with a blank expression, well you assumed seeing he was still wearing his suit so you couldn’t really tell.

“That’s exactly what I’m saying Y/N” He says causing you to laugh.

“Stop making me feel dumb!” You yell out dramatically before laughing again.

“Gosh your laugh is so cute” He says out of the blue. You hide your face in your arms to cover your blush, shaking you head disagreeing with him.

“So what kind of abilities?” You ask, immediately changing the subject. You couldn’t tell for sure but he seemed kind of.. nervous, like he said something he didn’t mean too maybe. You shrugged it off.

“Well the first one was hearing” Hearing?

“I can hear from about 600 metres from me (making this up cause I actually dont know how far spiders can hear so just go with it)”

“Really?” You ask kinda impressed. He just nods his head in response.

“Y/N” You felt a hand gently shake you from your thoughts. You glanced to your left to see Liz with a worried expression.

“What’s going on with you?” she asks. You shake your head and smile.

“Sorry I was just… spacing out, what was the question again?” You ask.

“Out of Thor, Hulk and Spiderman, who would you marry, fuck and kiss” Liz states seriously. You nervously gulp. Little did they know that spiderman was sitting less than 100 feet from you guys and could hear every word you guys were saying perfectly.

“Well I’d kiss… Thor” You say. You turned your head to face the boys direction again, their backs to you again. but unfortunately you couldn’t make the beating of your heart slow down, if anything it sped up. your palms were coated in sweated to the point of discomfort that you had to wipe them across your shorts. You could feel the hairs on your back beginning to stand, almost like you had just been zapped.

“And…” Liz states wanting you to go on. You bit your lip anxiously, crossing your legs over one another. You wiper your palms again, noticing your heart beating faster and faster. By this point you were sure he could hear it.

“Yeah it’s weird actually like one day I could hear a human heart beat!” Spidey states excitedly. You smile at him and shake your head in disbelief.

“That’s impossible” You state.

“It should be” Was all he replied. You just shake your head and softly laughed.

“Okay well… what else?” You ask.

“What do you mean what else?” He asks confused.

“Well you said ’'The first one was hearing" so.. what was the second?’'  You ask.

’'Oh! strangely enough it was smell” Smell?

“What do you mean?” You ask and he begins to laugh.

“You mean like you can smell someones perfume from down the hall or something?” He shrugs in response.

“Yeah basically..” He trails off.

“Basically… what” You say, urging him to keep going.

“I don’t know its like I can… sense someones emotions? if that makes sense? Like for instance right now your happy” He states, You laugh.

“Yeah you don’t have to be a genius to figure that out” You point out cheekily as the smile on your face grew wider. He sighs and rest his head back against the wall letting out a laugh.

“No but its more than that, it’s like I can.. I don’t know. It’s hard to explain” You decided to leave it at that, not wanting to push him further.

“Okay what about the third thing?” You asked excitedly.

“Uhhh Hulk?” You question unsure. Liz just nods at you, eagerly waiting for an answer. To be honest you weren’t ready to give her one. Well, you could lie but she would know straight away, let’s just say.. your a horrible liar.

“Uhhh” you stuttered out, rubbing your legs together. You could feel a fire beginning to ignite inside your stomach and lower giving you sinful thoughts. Fuck, snap out of it Y/N! Now was not a time to be a typical teenager.

“Ummm” Gah you sounded so pathetic. You glanced back over towards tho boys. But this time you weren’t looking at their backs but instead their fronts.

You didn’t want to look but you did. Your gaze lifting to meet Peter’s gaze. Now you felt like you were trembling in your seat, not literally of course but it sure as hell felt like it. How could a simple looking leave you completely unhinged? This was bad, really bad. You were trying to get rid of the thoughts, the thoughts of him trailing kisses down your neck, across your torso down to your lower region, you wrapping your arms in his hair as this went on.

Liz’s fingers were quick to snap you out of your gaze. She snapped her fingers in front of your face and you and Peter immediately broke gazes. You looked at Liz uneasy before quickly turning to look at Peter again, this time he was glancing around the room confused, it was weird, he tilted his head up slightly, it was only then that you began to realise. You eyes widen in horror as you could begin to hear your heartbeat in your ears. You could feel the blood pumping through your veins, your body going warm. You began to shake your head rapidly probably looking like an idiot. Oh god please don’t, please… don’t.

“Can I say something without it being totally weird?” Bug boy mutters out nervously. you rested your head back on the back of your chair against your arms.

“Course” you reply.

“Won’t laugh?” He asks. You shook you head.

“It’s not just like.. smells… there’s also chemosignals?” it came out more of a question at the end like he sounded very unsure. chemosignals?

“I’m confused” you replied.

“okay this is going to sound really weird’'

’'Okay, it’s okay I can handle weird have you met me?” you finish with a small laugh.

“I walked past this couple a few months back and they were walking down the streets, just side by side, not holding hands or anything-”

“Wait how did you know they were a couple?” you ask confused. Normally seeing two people walking down the street side by side doesn’t mean they’re a couple.

“It was like I could smell their… love? for each other I mean. Like how they desired each other I guess” To say you were shocked would be an understatement. This definitely took you by surprise.

“Did it happen only once or all the time?” You ask curiously.

“It happened all the time but then I learnt to tune it out and only focus on it if I really wanted to” You nodded your head. But there was just one lingering thought on your mind. For some reason your curiosity just needed to know.

“What do you mean by.. desire?” you ask shyly.

“Like they wanted to be together” he replies calmly. That wasn’t what I meant Bug Boy. You shifted on your chair getting comfortable. You took a deep breath, not really sure if you should ask this question or not.

“Is there… other desire you can pick up on?” you ask again shyly. He just shrugs his shoulders casually, obviously not getting your subtlety.

“Like… sexual desire?” You ask, your voice slightly squeaking at the end due to your nerves. Gosh that was so awkward, why would you ask that! Damn you and curiosity for wanting to know everything.

At this he stiffened. Uh oh, you went too far, great, you ruined it Y/N, good job.

“Ummmmm”

“K-k-k-iss h-h-ulk” Your voice came out shaky, you even managed to stutter as well. You squeezed your thighs together tighter, hoping to relieve a bit of pressure that has been building. You watched Peter nervously, hoping he has no clue as to what was going on and wasn’t listening in, no matter how nosy that boy may be.

But of course fate wasn’t on your side today. You watched as his eyes went from confusion to wide eyed. You were done, you were so done. If it was possible you wanted the ground to swallow you up whole right then and there. You watched as he quickly scanned the room. The guy beside him continuing on with his set of pull ups. Once his eyes finish scanning he looked over towards you.

Fuck you couldn’t be more embarrassed! It’’s one thing to tell a guy your into him them for them to literally smell the desire rolling off of you. You bowed your head in embarrassment, feeling your cheeks heat up.

“So, Jenny is is your turn?” You ask out of the blue, spinning around to face Jenny.

“No, no, no” Liz says resting a hand on your shoulder spinning you back around. You groaned.

“Say it” She says.

“Say what?” you say innocently. Liz just smirks evilly at you.

“Come on! Just say it! Say it and I’ll stop” she says. Yeah hell no. I turn back around to face Jenny to see that she was now also wearing a smirk. Great.

“But you already know!” you complained.

“Oh we all know I just need to hear you say it” She says cheekily. She was enjoying me being in torture way too much. It wasn’t like I could just come out and say 'No I am not going to say it because little do you guys know, spiderman is actually sitting not 10 metres from us and he can smell things like desire and he can literally smell my arousal right now and that if he has been listening in this whole time which he probably has he knows what I’m about to say and I’m going to ruin the first amazing thing I’ve had in a very long time’

“I’m not saying it” You respond, turning back to face the front of the gym, both Jenny and Liz leaning on you trying to get you to speak. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at Peter, you were too afraid to see his reaction. In fact you knew what his reaction was, you just didn’t want this whole situation to be actually real.

“You’ll feel better if you dooo” she says in a sing-song voice. Yeah I’m sure I would, but after I do there is no going back from it.

“I can’t” you whisper out. Now slowly bringing yours over to Peter. You looked him in the eyes and you felt your heart stop. Your breath caught in your throat and you froze. He was just staring at you, with what seem like a blank expression. Almost like he was dazed or something. His friend next to him nudged him in the rib and he snapped out of it quickly shaking his head, there conversation to each other inaudible to my ears. Fuck it, he already knows? What else do you have to lose?

You weren’t sure where this new set of confidence came from but you were going to use it before it went away. Pulling your nerves together and using them to your advantage you finally speak.

“And Spiderman..” You say trailing off, catching Peter’s attention. He was listening.

“Spiderman what?” Liz teases. You take in a deep breath. Mustering up every last courage you had you looked Peter straight in the eye, making your heart stop again.

“Fuck spiderman” You finally spat out. You immediately closed your mouth taking a nervous gulp, all the confidence in the world beginning to slip away. Jenny and Liz from beside you squealed happily and laughed into your sides. But your eyes never faltered from Peters.

You felt so vulnerable. So bare. And it terrified you.

Without realising your eyes followed his movements. His tongue came out to lick his lips. Subconsciously you licked yours too, immediately getting 100% more turned on from this simple movement. He made such a simple movement seemed incredibly… mezmerising. You watched as he licked his lips not once but twice, then slowly begin to pull his bottom lip between his teeth. You raised your eyes to meet his.

And it only took one look.

One look and you felt it.

He wanted you too.

The One-Night Perfect Relationship | Alex Standall X Reader

English isn’t my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

Characters: Alex/fem!reader. Clay and Hannah are mentioned.

Warnings: fluffy. Also happy!Alex. And may or may not have some High School Musical songs in the story, but, oh well…

(E/C) stand for “Eye color”/(B/F/N) stand for “Best friend’s name”.

Word Count: 2550 words.

One part of her didn’t want to be there, but the other one, which she decided to listen to, felt that the night could get better somehow. (Y/N) was on the bleachers, considerably alone since she didn’t know anyone who was sitting there, watching people dance with their dates and friends at the dance. They were jumping around, but they seemed to be having fun while doing it, which made her feel like dancing too, but everyone there had a group of friends and she didn’t want to be the weirdo jumping alone.

(Y/N) wanted to dance and her body was starting to send signals that she needed to move. So she began to sway slightly from side to side, trying not to draw attention of anyone on the bleachers. When a familiar song began to play, (Y/N) forgot for a second to try to be discreet and shook her head as she moved her arms up, letting a small smile escape her lips until she realized what she was doing, her eyes widening and bringing her arms back down. Damn the upbeat songs. It was only for a few seconds, but she had already managed to get someone’s attention.

The girl lowered her head, looking down at her own feet. And then she felt that sense of when someone is staring at you. The girl’s (E/C) eyes looked up shyly and started looking for someone who was looking at her, stopping at a boy with bleached blonde hair who was sitting a little distant of her. He had a small grin on his face, he wanted to laugh. This made (Y/N) feel her cheeks heating up as she looked down again, even more embarrassed.

“Nice moves.” she heard a male voice, which obviously came from the boy, talking to her. “Hi.”

“Hi.” she gave a small wave, looking sheepishly at him.

(Y/N) had seen him around school, but she couldn’t remember if she’d ever heard his name.

“Why are you alone here?” he spoke again after a few seconds in silence.

(Y/N) grimaced. “I didn’t even know I was coming here today.” the boy raised an eyebrow at her. “I didn’t plan to come, but my friend bought two tickets and dragged me here.”

He nodded, staring at the rest of the people in the bleachers. "Why isn’t she here with you, then?”

“She brought me because she thought her date wasn’t coming.”

“But he came.” he completed his reasoning on his own. “So she dumped you alone here.”

“Sitting here isn’t so bad.” he gave her a disbelieving glance, but she just laughed. “Why are you here?”

His eyes turned to the dance floor and he pointed to someone she couldn’t define who it was. “I was hoping to dance with her.”

“Sorry about that.”

“Nah, I deserve it.”

Neither of them said anything for a few more seconds, watching people still dancing in their strange way.

“What’s your name?” (Y/N) broke the silence, turning to him.

“Alex.” he gave her a small smile, turning his head toward her. “And you are?”

“(Y/N).” she smiled back at him.

Alex looked at her for a few more seconds before pointing to the empty seat beside her. “Can I…?” he asked for her permission to approach.

“Sure.” (Y/N) smile widened as the boy crawled over to her side.

The dance was supposed to be, well, for dancing, but soon (Y/N)’s urge to dance was decreasing while talking to Alex. On the dance floor they hardly would be able to talkbut there where they were, they could enjoy each other’s company more. They spent more than half of the Winter Formal getting to know each other better, starting a competition of who had the most shameful story to tell and, overall, talked about everything.

"So, I was already in my pajamas and getting ready to watch my shows when I heard a horn outside.” (Y/N) started telling the story of that night, seeming to amuse Alex with it. “And I went to see who it was and (B/F/N) was all ‘Get in loser, we’re going to the dance’.”

“The ‘Mean Girls’ of real life.” he said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I totally am Lindsay Lohan.”

Alex looked at the girl from head to toe before smiling. "You’re not upset about being left by your friend?”

“Not at all.” she shrugged. “I wasn’t joking when I said it wasn’t so bad to be here. I think it’s kind of cool to be able to see this big socialization of confused teenagers from afar.” (Y/N) pointed at them dramatically, then turning to point at the boy next to her. "And a little socialization right here.”

Alex still had a smile on his face as he took the girl’s finger pointing to his face.

"I’ve never noticed you until today, you know.” he said, then frowned. “Did that sound rude?”

“A little bit, yeah.” (Y/N) chuckled as he apologized. “Well, I had noticed you before.”

That seemed to get his attention, his eyebrows arching with curiosity. “Oh, really?”

"I took an interest in you because of your hair.”

“Oh, this.” Alex grimaced as he pointed at his hair.

“It’s like it’s from another world. I always wondered what it would be like to touch it.”

“Be careful there, it’ll take you to another dimension.” he grinned, nudging her.

(Y/N) smiled, looking once more at the dance floor, something catching her eyes. She frowned at the scene she was seeing before she began to laugh. Alex smiled slightly, caught by the girl’s laughter.

"What are you laughing at?”

“They got style.” she answered, motioning two people jumping in a very strange –yet funny- way. (Y/N) managed to recognize the boy as Clay Jensen, but she wasn’t sure of the girl’s name, even though she had already seen and heard about her.

“Your moves are better, though.” (Y/N) laughed at his words, remembering the ridiculous dance that had performed.

“Shut up.” she smiled slightly, listening to a slow song start playing and people start to pair up. “Wanna go out?”

“Hm?” he looked confused.

“The dance is about to end. Want to walk out there a little?”

“Yeah, sure.” Alex stood up and reached out to help her up. What a gentleman.

He was walking ahead and as soon as the girl stood up the urge to dance came back. Then she tried to sway a little as she stepped out of the bleachers. Wrong move. She stumbled and almost fell, catching the attention of a few people who looked at her, laughing.

"What the hell are you looking at?” Alex asked them as he came back to help the girl out.

(Y/N)’s ankles ached slightly making the girl whimper down as she walked. She saw her friend looking at them both with a smirk, causing the girl to roll her eyes and lower her head.

“What the hell was that?” Alex asked as they walked toward the exit from the school.

“I was trying to perform, if you didn’t notice.” she stopped to massage her leg for a second before continuing to walk. “As if it were High School Musical or something.”

Alex’s head turned to her with the mention of the movie, a smile on his face. "So it looks like I got a Disney fan here.”

“Totally, man.” she said before she felt the cold night air hit her face as they reached the outside.

They continued to walk in silence until they were completely off the school grounds and started walking on the sidewalk, where some people passed as well. Alex started to walk slightly faster than (Y/N), staying a little ahead of her before turning to her, making her stop walking too.

“Alex…?” she frowned when she saw him taking a deep breath.

Livin’ in my own world, didn’t understand.” he began to sing. Oh no, he wasn’t doing that. (Y/N)’s mouth opened slightly, not knowing exactly what to do. “That anything can happen, when you take a chance.

(Y/N) was still, not knowing what to do, when Alex looked at her expectantly, making a smile spread on her face, before she cleared her throat. “I never believed in.” the boy smirked at her. “What I couldn’t see, I never opened my heart.”

“Ooh.” he made sure to say it in a very dramatic way, which made (Y/N) laugh.

“To all the possibilities.” she continued to laugh as he approached her. “Uh.”

Alex started to swing toward her as they sang. “I know that something has changed.” (Y/N) mimicked his movements and began to swing too. “Never felt this way.” she was sure that people were looking at them at that moment. “And right here tonight, this could be the start of something new.” after all, it wasn’t so usual to see two teenagers singing loudly in the middle of the street. “It feels so right to be here with you.” they both grinned at each other. “And now looking in your eyes, I feel in my heart the start of something new.”

The boy, with an amused smile, raised one of his hands, motioning for her to hold it. “Now who’d ever thought that.”

(Y/N) copied his smile, raising her hand and intertwining in his as they sang. “We’d both be here tonight.”

“And the world looks so much brighter.” she continued as he lowered their hands and pulled her down the sidewalk. “With you by my side.”

Alex seemed to have found something he was looking for on the sidewalk, letting go of (Y/N)’s hand, and walking quickly to a bench, getting up on it as they continued. "I know…” he turned to her, holding out his hands to help the girl up. “That something has changed.” (Y/N) laughed through her words, shaking her head as she walked quickly to where he was. “Never felt this way.” she accepted his help. “I know it for real, this could be the start of something new.” Alex took careful steps, imitating with his hands the moves she had made earlier that night, making her laugh while doing the same thing, shaking her head from side to side. “It feels so right to be here with you.” (Y/N) felt like jumping, just like people were doing at the Winter Formal, but she knew she would either break the bench or fall from there. “And now looking in your eyes.” Alex slowed his dance moves, looking for the girl’s eyes; (Y/N) did the same. “I feel in my heart …” they smiled at each other. “The start of something new.”

They kept staring at each other for a few more seconds, neither of them daring to break the eye contact, until a car stopped in front of them, honking. (B/F/N). (Y/N) got startled, almost felling off the bench because of it, causing Alex to hold her, holding the girl by her waist.

“Thanks.” she murmured a little sheepishly.

“Hey girl, you want a ride?” (B/F/N) asked.

(Y/N) was about to accept when Alex’s voice caught her attention. “If you want, I can take you home.” a small hopeful glow gleamed in his eyes, and only then she realized that his arm hadn’t left her waist. Not that she was going to complain about it.

“Alex will take me.” she turned again to (B/F/N), who smirked, nodding.

“She better get home alive, Standall.”

“As you wish, ma'am.” the girl laughed at his answer before winking at them and driving away. “She seems to be cooler than Regina George.”

(Y/N) laughed. “Sometimes she is.”

“Come on.” he released his arm from her waist and getting down from the bench, then helping the girl do the same.

Thank God that High School Musical performance hadn’t taken them so far from the school parking lot. (Y/N) had always complained that school was really far from her home, so she had to wake up early if she wanted to be in time for class. But at that moment she couldn’t be more grateful for that, it meant she would have more time to talk to Alex.

In the end, she could see that the part of her that thought that night could have got better had guessed right. She’d met Alex and that had made that night exceptional. They had hit it off, and that night seemed somehow magical. So that could only mean: either that was really the beginning of something new or that had been an one-night perfect relationship. (Y/N) sincerely bet on the second, although she wanted the first one to be right.

An one-night perfect relationship is the one you have, well, for one night. When you aren’t suffocated with your daily problems and the pressures of your friends. You are a diferente person on this one night, more relaxed and even happier. Who would know how things would be between them if they talk to each other every day, or what would it be like in front of their friends? Well, there’s no way of knowing if it’s just a one-night thing or something else until you try it, what really counts is making the night worthwhile.

These thoughts passed over (Y/N) mind as they got out of the car, since Alex had offered to walk with her to the door.

“Well, I’m sure I won’t not notice you from now on.” he said when they reached her door.

"Well, it’s not just your hair that makes me interested in you anymore.” she said, a small smirk on her lips.

He chuckled. “I’m glad.”

They looked at each other for a few more seconds, both thinking practically the same thing. Alex wanted to kiss her as much as she wanted to kiss him. But would not that be wrong? Would not it be too soon? But then again, what if the next day they didn’t feel the same thing they felt at that moment? Don’t think too much, make the night worthwhile. It’s now or never.

Alex quickly leaned toward her, pressing their lips together, placing one of his hands on her waist and the other on the girl’s cheek. (Y/N) wasted no time and soon began kissing him back, moving her lips against his, placing her hands on his neck, but only so she could touch his hair. Alex noticed that and gave a small smile into the kiss, which soon turned into a laugh, making him pull away from her and rest his forehead on hers as he laughed.

“Sorry.” he said still laughing, which made the girl laugh together.

"I really thought for a moment that this was going to take me to another dimension.” it only made him laugh more, being accompanied by her.

The laughter took a while to decrease, until there were only smiles on their faces. “Bye, Gabriella.”

“See you around, Troy.”

Alex gave her a long peck before letting go of her and starting to walk away, a smile still on his face. (Y/N) watched him for a few seconds before opening the door, listening to him honking at her, waving goodbye from inside the car before leaving. The girl closed the door, resting her back on it. Whether it was the beginning of something new or just a one-night thing, it was worth it.

A/N : Part IV!!! It’s been a long, long, long time. (almost a year ffs) But here it is! Hopefully, the next updates will be much faster. Please do anticipate and criticism are very much appreciated. ENJOY GUYS!!

Part I  Part II Part III Part IV

You weren’t exactly sure where your position with Jungkook stood from then. Your relationship, if you could even call it that, was complicated. Twisted, bundled and full of tangled webs of confusion.

He was Jungkook and you were, well you.

And with the way Jiyoon hated you, it was safe to say that associating yourself with the likes of him wasn’t the safest option. Neither was it an idea you particularly thought was good.

But it was fair to say that you’d always loved taking chances and Jungkook was a risk you were willing to take- willing to play against Jiyoon.

Even if you didn’t know it just yet.

And you weren’t quite sure where in place that car journey put you even after you’d spent hours into the night pondering about it, racking your mind for something to ease you, some type of closure.

You pace up and down the aisle of the personal jet buzzing with thinly contained excitement.

“Hey, hey! Y/N, baby calm down you’re sparking.” Your boyfriend Peter suddenly shouts, gesturing wildly with his hands. You snap out of your daze and raise a hand to inspect it. He’s right, your fingertips are gleaming a sunset orange and small fireworks spark off of them.

“Right, sorry.” You apologize, flushing almost as red as your fingertips with embarrassment. Peter flashes you a nervous smile and gingerly takes your palm.

“You know I love it when you get fiery,” he winks at you, “It’s just we are above the clouds in a big steel thing and if it catches fire we are sort of screwed.” He references your flaming ability, and you can’t help but roll your eyes (even though you know he’s right).

“We are really doing this Pete! We are going on a mission. Sure it’s just a group of some guys who medically enhanced themselves to have animal powers and they have some alien tech, but I mean something isn’t nothing.” You speak extremely quickly.

“What do you mean just some medically enhanced guys with alien weapons?” Peter scoffed at you. You shrug and fall back into the plush first class level recliner.

“I mean it’s not Ultron but I’m ready!” You are chomping at the bit to get going, your dad, Tony (also known as Iron Man), never let you go on missions before. His excuse was always that you needed more training.

“Y/N, I know you’re excited. And I know you can handle yourself, but this is real and dangerous. You cannot go in there to cocky.” Peter is cautious saying this because he knows that you can get hotheaded when someone tells you no.

Sucking in a deep breath you reply, “I know, but I can handle myself, hell I can shoot fire out of my hands.” You felt the mischievous smile spread on your face and you imagined yourself soaring next to your dad in the brand new suit he made you to harness your powers and better focus them.

You don’t notice Peter’s smile falter as he thinks about how new you are to this. He has been worried all week, usually he’s excited for a new avengers mission but this time was different. The girl he loved was coming and she was fresh out of the oven.

You leaned down and pulled at the handle on the bottom of your seat, a small box of chilled waters appeared and you grabbed one hastily. Lifting the bottle to your parched lips you heard the hiss of steam before you felt it on your cheeks.

“Okay, I really do need to calm down.” You admitted coyly to Peter, batting your eyelashes innocently so that he wouldn’t get all worried again.

Glancing out the window you noticed the plane begin to dip and suddenly a ding alerted you and peter to the coming announcement, “We are descending, everybody suit up and be ready for ground transport to our location.” Your father’s voice boomed through the little cabin. You felt your eyes go wide and you swung your body to face Peter’s.

“Alright, let’s go.” He says to you, taking in a steadying breath and standing up, suit in hand.

“Not so fast spider-boy, hop out. I’m changing in here, you go change with Clint.” Natasha bursts through the door and grabs Peter by the scruff of his neck, practically tossing him out of the cabin.

You shot Peter an apologetic smile and then turned to face the malevolent general with a snarl, “Tash, what the hell? It’s not like we were going to have sex.”

Natasha raises a single eyebrow, “Too bad I don’t care. You’re like my little sister and I don’t want a smelly boy seeing your goods.” You roll your eyes but smile at the jovial relationship you have.

You and Peter sit nervously holding hands as Happy drives you toward the battle. A fleet of cars and motorcycles are transporting everyone and you are suspicious of why Happy was here. You figure your dad has him here in case he wants you removed from the battle.

The car suddenly stops and you hear a screeching, “That’s your cue,” Happy says turning around, “Be careful Y/N, Peter.” Both of you solemnly nod. Peter leans over and opens the door on his side before taking your hand and guiding you out.

“Let’s go.” Peter whispers and begins to run, you steel yourself and engage your boosters causing you to lift off the ground.

As you lift higher in the air you can see about 15 men all walking far to slowly toward your group. One man has an arm that is replaced by a purple glowing blaster the size of your lower body.

“Spidey on your left!” You shout as you see a huge chunk of cement go flying from across the lot. You blast it to make it smaller and he expertly avoids it. You change course and choose to get closer to the 3 men farthest right, one is abnormally large and has stripes like a tiger all across his upper body. The other two look identical and seem to be half made of metal.

Your dad is fighting alongside the Hulk and Peter is still coming slightly slower because he is swinging his way here. You dive-bomb the first man and get a right hook in, but he is prepared and immediately kicks you 10 feet away. One of the other guys charges a blast where your chest would be but you duck down in the last second.

Powering up you blast at the third man and shoot fire at him, it scorches his body and you feel proud because you finally got the upper hand. But as the fire melts away metal covers his injuries, making him more indestructible.

“Hey!” Peter shouts and shoots a web around the man’s legs and tosses him against a wall where he webs him up. You give him a nod of thanks and return to the first man who is barreling at you.

“Little bitch, come here.” He shouts. You duck just in time to avoid a punch and then sock him in the stomach. You go to blast him but he grabs your wrist, you try fire again but it seems to just hover over him.

“Not so tough anymore?” He asks you in a growl. Fear must be written across your face as he crushes the metal on your wrists and throws it aside. He raises a large fist and swings it down with such force that you hardly feel the hit in your abdomen and instead feel the impact of your back on the same wall the other man was webbed on.

“Oopsie” You hear in your ear, and that’s when it registers that you didn’t hit the wall, you hit the webbed man, who is no longer webbed. He grips your shoulders and smashes you to the ground placing one hand squarely on your left shoulder and then using his whole weight and pushing down. You hear a sickening crack and feel excruciating heat rush into your shoulder.

Then he stands and stomps on your leg causing your vision to go completely white, laughing as he hears you cry out in pain. Black and silver stars dance in your vision but you feel his weight leave your body, somebody is fighting him.

But before you can get your bearings you manage to make out the gun on the arm of the large man you saw before aimed right at your stomach. A blast sounds and everything goes dark.

The next minutes come in flashes. You hear Steve screaming for your father.

“Baby, please. I never should have let you come.” Your dad.

“No. no no.” Peter.

You can vaguely hear the battle continuing, but honestly you feel next to nothing, it is as though you were floating 3 feet above yourself and underwater.

“Peter, you’re done. Take her to the car and get to a hospital, NOW.” You hear your father delegate responsibility to Peter.

“Of-of course.” Peter sounds shocked, determined, terrified, and crushed all at the same time. You feel his strong arms secure themselves around you and you squeal in pain as he lifts you, your leg and shoulder are unavoidable.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Peter whispers to you. “I’m going to take care of you, please don’t leave me. Fight Y/N. I’m taking care of you.” His voice is desperate but you suddenly can’t remember why he is upset.

The next thing you hear is the slamming of a car door and the familiar tone that Happy always has when he is concerned about you, “Alright, why don’t you immobilize her injuries with your webs, let’s get her to a hospital.” That is the last thing you hear before it all just goes silent for good.

Your eyelids feel like they have barbells holding them down and got one thousand tiny paper cuts. You can hear the labored breathing of someone sleeping near you. Your head is pounding and you can hear your pulse hitting against your skull.

The events leading up to this pain come flooding back to you: the battle, your shoulder and leg, tiger man, the gun, Peter carrying you, passing out. Despite the pain, you force your tired lids to open, revealing a far too bright hospital room. Blinking the sleep out and adjusting to the bright light you try to lift your head, sending a shock of pain through your shoulder.

The sharp intake of breath wakes up the person snoozing next to you, “Baby girl?” You hear your father’s desperate voice.

“Daddy?” Your voice crackles, it must be weird from disuse. Your father’s bearded face and red eyes come into view. He looks haggard like he’s been crying and hasn’t slept in a week.

He leans over and hits the call button for the nurse. “Dad can I sit up?” You ask him, he nods and uses the button pad on the side of your bed to bring you upright.

The nurse comes running in and begins running tests on you like a fiend. You note to yourself that it’s weird that she’s working so rushed. When she’s done she takes a deep breath and turns to your father, “She’s a miracle, we need to keep monitoring her but trillion to one you know.” She shoots you a smile and leaves you two to talk.

“Dad what happened?” You ask him, suddenly concerned. He goes on to tell you that they crushed 4 of your ribs, broke your leg and shattered your shoulder, fractured your collarbone, and finally got a concussion. You do have slightly accelerated healing abilities but it wasn’t looking good and you’ve been out for 4 days. Basically, they thought they were biding the days until you died.

“Dad, I need to see Peter.” You tell him once you finish talking. “Why hasn’t he visited me?” You can’t conceal the pain in your voice, only this time it’s not about the physical stuff.

“Baby, no one was allowed in but me, he’s been sleeping in the chairs all week. Let me go get him.” You are thankful that he understands that you need to see him, especially because you almost died and he could easily say just him and you right now.

You lift your hand and inspect the cuts and bruises all over it. You are prodding different parts of your body when Peter comes sprinting in. He smiles when he sees you looking at him but it melts almost immediately when he sees the rest of you. “Peter” You call for him, he comes to your side immediately and gingerly takes your hand.

“I stayed.” You whisper in his ear as a tear leaks out of his eye. He nods with a quivering lip.

“I-I thought you were going to die, we all did.” He sounds so broken and sad. But you lift his chin so that he is looking you in the eyes.

“I’m here, and I’m not dead. But I am very injured, so I’m expecting a lot of healing kisses and treats and teddy bears.” You decided to make light of the situation because it was more you than being angsty and sad.

“I will buy you every chocolate on the planet and get you a teddy bear for every minute we are together, and I should probably get started on those kisses.” He smiled at you and leaned down to place an extremely light kiss on your forehead.

“Well that’s not what I meant!”
