Yugyeom and I had been friends since we were little, his family lived just down the street, and our parents trusted him enough to come and stay with me in an empty house when they went away for vacations to keep my company.

The only problem now,

we’re both 19 and the house is completely empty and oh, was he keeping me company.

Jungkook and I had been friends since our freshman year of high school. We had occasionally slept together, but that was before me and Yugyeom had started our little Friends With Benefits thing. Jungkook had mentioned a couple of times when drunk that he had liked me, to not just me but to Yugyeom as well.

The only problem,

Yugyeom said I could sleep with other people, but didn’t have the best definition of that AND, Jungkook wasn’t the worst candidate for a “one night stand.”

I pulled into the empty driveway. I slowly got out and grabbed my bag before I walked inside. Turning around and locking the door, I slowly took off my shoes and set down my bag. I bent down to put away my shoes, humming a small tune to one of the songs I was dancing to today.

Suddenly I felt hands on my hips pulling me against someone. I started to stand as I turned my head to look at who it was.

My parents being away had its perks. I got to stay up late being as loud as I wanted, meaning playing music as loud as I wanted, playing a loud action movie at 3 AM, and yugyeom making me scream anytime. I stood up fully, I heard him growl slightly as his chest came in contact with my back.

“How was your practice?” He hissed as he pulled me closer. “It was fine, why?” I asked softly and I looked up at him a bit confused, he had been weird ever since last night.

“Because 1) your shirt is backward. 2) I got the video.” He stated the end coldly and I looked at him even more confused. “Video?” I asked as I pulled away and moved to the living room. “The dance video.” He said and just stared me down. I tilted my head to the side before smiling wide.

“Oh, yeah…” I sighed softly “…the dance looks really good doesn’t it?” I asked as  I got a drink from the fridge. “Jungkook.” He scoffed his name softly and leaned against the counter. “Yeah..?” I said before opening my drink and taking a sip.

“You don’t even know what I’m talking about do you?” He smirked a bit as he laughed under his breath. “Jungkook recorded your little practice session.” He looked at me and I shrugged, still confused. “The one after the dance.” He said and I set down my drink.

“What?” I asked as I looked at him, he got closer as he spoke. “Him fulfilling my fantasy that I told you about.”

“Having your hands pressed against the mirror as I fuck you from behind.” He pulled me closer again and started thrusting deeper. “Watching you watch me fuck you better than anyone ever could.” He moaned as he pulled my legs up a bit so he could thrust deeper.

“God, that’s what I dream of.” He groaned. I moaned loudly as I released hard at just the thought. He moaned as he started thrusting more sloppy, my head now buried in his neck. He thrust harder, his moans now heavy breaths and grunts.

He slowly moved to stand in front of me, his arms going to either side of me, corning me against the counter. I slowly tried to back up more before he grabbed my hips and pulled me against him. He slowly picked me up and set me down on the counter roughly.

“I know I said I was fine with you sleeping with other guys.” He said as he kissed my neck, pulling my shirt down to show the marks Jungkook left, nipping at the marks, trying to make them his.

“But why him?” He said as he started breathing heavily, pulling off my shirt completely and then forcing my shorts off without even trying to lift me up a bit to help. “You know… that even though I say it I don’t mean it.”  He says before he pulls off my bra and he starts kissing down my collarbones to my chest.

“You know especially him.” He says as he pulls off his shirt. “Even though you looked so good, you being with him…” He shakes his head lightly “…made me so angry.” He said breathlessly before pulling off my panties too.

“Yug-yugyeom…” I gulped softly as I looked at the time. “Can we do this later?” I ask as I panic and he spreads my thighs quickly as he scoffs again. “Why?” He asks and neither of us hears the front door open and close.

“I have to show you that I am and always will be the best at what I do to you.” He says as he pulls off his belt. I look up as I hear a familiar laugh from the entrance of the kitchen.

“You can’t show her you’re the best at something you never did.” I look up and Jungkook smirks from his spot by the entry of the kitchen and Yugyeom instantly stands up fully and turns to face Jungkook and he scoffs in return.

“Why don’t we have a competition then?” Yugyeom growls through his teeth and Jungkook tilts his head lightly as he smirks.

“With it being me against you… it won’t be a competition.”

A/N: This is my very first fic! I know it’s really long; I may or may not have gotten carried away. It’s mostly a series of memories leading to the point I guess? I read this over before posting it and cringed for my life but here goes nothing! I am a science student, not a writer so please forgive its crappiness. I hope you enjoy it!

My mother told me that even something so mundane like buying car would be another challenge to face with sexist stereotypes. When a man walks into a dealership he is asked what kind of car he is looking for; the specs and all. When a woman walks into a dealership she is asked what color she’s looking for.

If Hamlet took place in a preschool classroom:
  • Hamlet is that kid who won’t stop crying on the first day because he misses his daddy.
  • Things get worse when his uncle Claudius comes and picks him up after school… a full on tantrum ensues
  • LOTS of parent gossip surrounding that family…….
  • Ophelia gets completely soaked playing at the water table.
  • A game of hide and seek turns violent and Polonius ends up in the nurse’s office.
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern refer to each other as ‘best friend’. No names. They literally just call out ‘best friend’.
  • Fortinbras starts school two weeks late.
He came straight for us

When I was in high school, my best friend broke up with her boyfriend at lunchtime. After school she would come hang out at my house because her mom worked late and she would pick her up from my house. As we were crossing a busy street, we heard a car fun it’s engine. We looked up and realized it was him. He came straight for us, never once hitting his brakes. We had to sprint across the street in order to not get hit. The next day at school his friends try to laugh it off telling us he was just playing. It didn’t feel like playing when that muscle car was heading straight to us. We never talked to him again, although he did try. He showed his true colors and we were done.

Crying again…

I found a lot of pics of my late fiance by accidentally. Just still cant believe he’s gone. Someone who was so so good to me is gone. Someone who’s like a brother, like a father, like a best friend. Someone who’s so sabr on me, accepted my shortcomings. Someone who never got angry when i was so mad and nagged at him. Someone who always said “sorry” when he knew i was annoyed even though it was just because of a little thing or even if it was my own fault just to get his attention. Someone who always stayed up till so late just to talk to me and only had 3 hours to sleep before fajr and school and work.

He’s gone like forever. Just forever and never come back.

And i couldnt stop cursing the man who hit her and left his body on the road. My man was a very good guy, why did he leave him alone there till he died?! I couldnt stop telling him that he would feel what i feel one day.

Ya Rabb… i never meant to have any grudges to anyone. But its not that easy too. Not for me.

the Locker Room

Prompt: Liam and the reader are enemies but later start liking each other

Warnings: well, Liam and the reader don’t really like each other at first so some harsh words are exchanged. But then they make out in the girls’ locker room which is kinda awkward because I didn’t really know how to write it so yeah

Being one of the only girls on the lacrosse team had its perks. For example, boys. Practices were like heaven, watching their muscles flex as they ran and just exercised in general. Of course, after practice, they stunk to high heaven and I didn’t want them to come anywhere near me, but that was beside the point.

The second perk was Kira. I met her on the day of tryouts, and she quickly became my best friend. Her love for Marvel and my love for action had us constantly throwing movie marathons which turned into sleepovers when we saw how late at night it was.

All the attention was definitely the third perk. I mean, Kira and I were the talk of the school. The team was completely male dominated, but our small estrogen edition seemed to draw a crowd of feminists and guys who just wanted to look at a chick playing rough. Coach was happy about that; there was a bigger turn-out at the games, and the school newspaper frequently printed segments advertising us.

It was great. Really, I loved it. But… all of the good things could be sucked away as soon as Liam Dunbar and I made eye contact.

In my opinion, he was beyond stupid. Dunbar was always very competitive with me- I guessed that it was because we were the only freshmen on the team because he seemed alright with Kira, so it couldn’t be that I was a girl. He threw temper tantrums a lot, which always resulted in Scott, Kira’s boyfriend, and Stiles, Kira’s… weird… friend, rushing him off into the locker room. Coach used to yell at them when they did that, but eventually he got tired and just rolled his eyes.

That made me angry. Why the hell was Dunbar so special? Why was he allowed to be escorted off the field by his junior fairy-godmothers? It just wasn’t fair.

The Friday that I finally lost it was the one that followed our first loss of the season. Last night, in the middle of the game, Dunbar decided that he wasn’t going to pass me the freaking ball liked we had practiced. That pissed me off. He ended up scoring, but I was too mad to care. When I got the ball, I acted like I didn’t see him waiting for me to pass it to him. I scored. The crowd cheered. I basked in the glory until a rough shove to my shoulder jerked me out of the happy haze.

It was Dunbar, and he wasn’t happy. Through his mask, he spit, “What the hell? Why didn’t you pass to me?”

I laughed. “Just returning the favor, thickhead. You didn’t pass to me either. And I scored anyway, so I don’t know why you’re getting your tighty-whiteys in a wad.”

“You’re kidding me, right?” He stepped closer; our masks were pressed together as he shouted. “You’re acting like a child. We’re in the middle of the game.”

Scoffing, I shoved his chest. “You’re the one who’s acting like a child, Dunbar. Now get out of my face before I make you.”

He let out a sharp snort of derision. “I’d just love to see you try.”

Hands were pulling us apart suddenly. Kira had her arms around my shoulders while Scott and Stiles held onto Dunbar’s arms. Coach and the referee were sprinting over to us. Faintly, I could hear Scott muttering, “Hey, Liam, you got this. Stay in control. Breathe.”

Stiles was chanting as well, although I wouldn’t exactly define his words as ones of encouragement. “You freaking idiot, chill out! You’re going to shift in front of all these people! Because of a girl? You’re kidding me, right? We have a game to play.”

Kira spun me around. “Y/N, what- are you okay?” Her dark eyes looked me over anxiously.

“Oh, I’m fine.” Then I raised my voice, knowing he could hear. “Dunbar is just pitching a bitch fit like he’s five and making everything about him again. Nothing new.”

“What?” Dunbar snarled- I mean, he actually snarled. “You’re the one who’s not following the plays. You won’t pass to me because of your silly little grudge.”

I was screaming. “You didn’t pass to me first! So how dare you get mad when I do the same?”

“Are you-” He lurched against Stiles and Scott’s tight hold. “I didn’t see you!”

“That’s bull and you know it, Dunbar!” I shrieked. “You looked me dead in the eyes and then kept running. You just wanted to compensate with a big win for something smaller, am I right?”

To make a long story short, by the time Coach got over to us, we were both cussing, so he benched us. “I can’t believe you two.” He angrily shoved his clipboard under his arm. “Okay, yeah, Dunbar, kind of expected it because of your record- no hard feelings- but Y/N? Really? You’re going to try and fight him?”

I raised an eyebrow. “Are you insinuating that I couldn’t take him out? Because I could, if you’d like a demonstration.”

Dunbar laughed coldly. “I would love to see that happen.”

Whirling on him, I pushed his shoulder. “Do you want to go Dunbar?”

Coach stuck his arm in between our faces, which were so close that our noses were almost touching. “That is enough!” He roared. “Tomorrow night’s practice, you both are staying after. You’re going to help me clean the gear. And… and… you both better be here Saturday morning. I think a little PT is in order. It’ll be a bonding experience. Might make you like each other.” At the dirty looks Dunbar and I exchanged, Coach back-tracked. “Or maybe it’ll just make you hate each other all the more. Well, my advice to you is- bottle it up and use it on the field. But not against each other for crying out loud!”

Then we lost the game because Scott and Stiles were benched for some illegal hits- I had a sneaking suspicion that they did it on purpose- and towed Dunbar off to the locker rooms, leaving our team without its captain and some of its best players.

So yeah, that was mainly the reason why my Friday sucked. I knew I was going to have to stay after. Kira was more understanding than my parents. They chewed me out. She only promised that we could reschedule the Iron Man marathon.

“Seriously, it’s no big deal.” Kira assured me as I thanked her, slipping my Nikes on. “I just wish you and Liam could get along.”

I hit my head on the bench when I jerked upwards so fast, quickly brushing off her concerned hands. “Me and Dunbar? Get along? I happen to be a big fan of our relationship. I hate him and he hates me. It’s perfect.”

Kira pursed her lips as she shimmed into her shorts. “That’s nice, but… do you really hate him?”

“Well…” I thought it over. Kira was my best friend; I told her everything. I figured this was no different. It wasn’t like she was going to go squealing to anyone. “I mean, yeah, he pisses me off a lot, but… sometimes he’s funny. And he’s definitely not ugly. But you didn’t hear that from me, got it?”

Hesitantly, Kira nodded. “Okay, but… I mean, no offense, but I think it would make the team more of a team if you tried to focus on those things instead of how angry he makes you and maybe attempted to get along. Plus, it would be nice not having to stop him from ripping your throat out.”

“Hey!” I settled my hands on my hips. “I am more than capable of ripping Dunbar’s throat out if the time comes.”

“Please,” I jumped, spinning around to see Coach standing in the doorway with his eyes covered. “Just stop, Y/L/N. I don’t want to give up my Sunday for you, too. Just put some clothes on and get out on the field.”

I pretended to think about it. “I don’t know, Coach, I kinda like this look.” I gestured to my shorts and sports-bra. “It makes me feel much freer.”

“That only makes me worry. Thank you for making my gray hairs grow faster.” He said sarcastically, shifting his weight while still keeping his eyes covered. “Now get on the field!” Coach left then, shaking his head and muttering something about ‘teenage girls are weird.’

Kira giggled. When I looked at her and asked, “What?” she only shook her head and tossed me my shirt. I slipped it over my head, and we jogged out.

Everyone was waiting for us, it seemed. Scott came over with a smile on his face, Stiles and Liam trailing him like always. “Hey guys.” He greeted, nodding to me and pecking Kira’s cheek.

“Hello.” Stiles said awkwardly, scratching his head under his helmet. I guessed he was playing goalie today.

“Look who finally decided to grace us with her presence.” Liam muttered. I smirked and flipped my ponytail over my shoulder, retailing with, “You don’t have to thank me. Just know you’re welcome.” Liam was about to get his revenge when Coach blew sharply on his whistle and told us to take a few laps.

Kira, Stiles, and I all jogged at the same pace while Liam and Scott ran up ahead. “So, Kira, did it work?” Stiles panted.

           “Did what work?” I asked.

“Oh,” Stiles faltered. “Maybe it was a bad idea to ask with you right there.”

“Maybe you should tell me what the hell you’re talking about, Stilinski.”

“Alright!  Hey, no need to bust out the last names. We’re cool; we’re good here.”

Kira rolled her eyes. “He’s talking about the talk we had in the locker room. About Liam. And maybe you and him working out your differences.”

My mouth dropped open. “You put her up to that?” I almost screamed. I knew people were looking, but I didn’t care.

Stiles gestured for me to quiet down. “No need to raise your voice, little one! We had the same talk with Liam in the guys’ locker room.”

Bitterly, I asked, “Well? What? Same results?”

Raising his eyebrows, he looked over at Kira. “Depends on what you said, Y/N.”

Gasping, I smacked Kira’s arm. “Don’t you even think about selling me out!” I warned. She gave me a cool look before suggesting, “Well, then, maybe you should tell Stiles what you said. It’s you or me.”

“I don’t want to tell Stiles!” I whined. “He’s just going to blab to Scott who will blab to Dunbar.”

“Nonsense!” Stiles protested. “I am a trustworthy guy. I won’t tell Scott; I’ll tell Lydia. Who will probably tell Liam directly.”

It was my turn to roll my eyes. “Whatever. I’m done with this conversation. Kira, if you know what’s good for you, you won’t tell him crap.” Then I took off at full speed, shooting past and weaving through groups of guys. Being the smallest person on the team had its advantage- I was the fastest. Another thing that pissed Dunbar off about me.

Because I could, as I sprinted past Scott and Dunbar, I shouted, “On your left!”

“Go to hell!”  Dunbar yelled. I just laughed, “See you there, babe!”

This went on for the next three laps: I would pass Dunbar, say something to him that would piss him off, and then zip on right ahead of him. On the fifth and final lap, when I came up behind him, I made a very dumb, split-second decision. I smacked Dunbar right on the ass before sprinting as fast and hard as I could.

“That’s it.” I heard him growl.  Scott warned, “No, Liam, don’t-” But I guessed he didn’t listen. I didn’t bother looking back; I was almost at the stopping point. My lungs and legs burned, and the back of neck was sticky with sweat.

Something hit my back, and then I was rolling. People started yelling, but I couldn’t really make out what they were saying over the blood rushing through my ears.

Dunbar glared down at me, and I fixed him with a fiery stare. “What the hell is your problem?” I screeched in his face, trying to worm my way out from underneath his body. His hands tightened around my wrists, pinning them to the ground beside me.

“You’re my problem!” He barked. Breathing heavily, I brought my legs up to the point my feet touched my butt. Using my hips, I thrust upwards and to the side, dumping him off of me. The move obviously took him by surprise.

I was just about to start wailing on him when someone picked me up around the waist and hauled me over his shoulder. I recognized those damn shoes. “Stiles!” I pounded on his back. “Put me down!”

Stiles shook me slightly. “Um, no? Why would I do that? You guys are trying to kill each other! Again!

“Stiles!” I thrashed against him, but nothing seemed to faze him. Suddenly tired, I let my arms hang limply, stretching towards the ground. Through Stiles’s legs, I could see Scott chewing Liam out. Kira came to his side, speaking quietly in Scott’s ear. I had a hard time hearing what they were saying because everyone was running over and yelling.

Coach somehow overpowered them all. “Separate them! Stilinski, take Y/L/N over there! This has got to stop! McCall, you’re- taking Dunbar to the showers again. Fine. Whatever. Everyone, settle down! Take another lap to get all of that excitement out of your system.”

Grunting, Stiles set me down. I watched Scott disappear into the school with Dunbar and Kira. I looked at Stiles, and then back at the doors. Stiles seemed to catch on. “No no no no no. Y/N, don’t you dare-”

It was too late. I sprinted for the doors, ignoring Coach’s yells and Stiles’s promised shouts, “I’ll get her Coach! I’ve got her! You just go back to… coaching…”

I knew that Stiles was sprinting after me- and that skinny bastard could move when he wanted to- so I pushed myself, throwing the door open and running as fast as I could for the boys’ locker room. As I pounded through the entry way, I could see shadows in the corner, and water running. Was the shower on?

I skidded to a stop, peeking my head around the corner.

Dunbar was puffing under a constant stream of water, back against the wall, eyes closed. Scott was squatting beside him; Kira was standing on his other side. “This has got to stop, dude.” Scott clapped him on the shoulder. “You’re putting her in danger.”

“Don’t you think I know that?” His eyes flashed open, a furious golden tint to them. “But she’s just so… and I can’t… and it pisses me off!” Dunbar slammed his fist into the tile, completely shattering it. Bits and pieces shot up, scattering all around him. “It’s like I can’t control myself around her! I get so angry because I can’t…” His voice caught in his throat. He shook his head. “And then I do something stupid…”

Kira stroked his hair, pushing it off his forehead. “We know, Liam. Calm down. We’re going to figure something out.”

“You guys keep saying that.” He closed his eyes again. In that moment, I found him… very nice looking. His gray shirt was soaked, clinging to his toned chest. Droplets slid down his neck; his hair looked darker, messy. His full lips were pink and inviting.

           “Because it’s true!” Kira insisted.

Scott sighed. “Did you talk to her?” His mocha eyes were wide and earnest.

Tentatively, Kira nodded. “Yes… but she didn’t want me to tell you.” When Scott gave her a look, she threw her hands up. “Hey, she is my best friend!”

I didn’t realize that Stiles had caught up until he announced, “Yeah, your best friend that part-times as a peeping tom!”

So I got caught. Dunbar was pissed, Kira was pissed, Scott was pissed, Stiles was pissed, Coach was pissed… everyone was ticked off.

“I don’t know what the hell you were thinking,” Coach was beet red as he ranted in my face, “but that was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot, thanks to Greenberg.”

Yawning, I watched the other players pick up their stuff and head to the locker rooms. “Coach, I’m pretty much immune to scolding. I’ve been bitched out three times today now. You might as well save your breath because I’m just tuning you out.”

           Coach sputtered.

“Not trying to be disrespectful.” I tacked on at the end, hoping it wasn’t too late.

“Well that was a nice save.” Coach waved his clipboard behind him. “Go ahead and meet Dunbar in the weight room. I left the equipment and cleaning supplies in there. I’ll be in my office. And if you two decide to fight, I won’t break it up. I’ll let you kill each other. I’m getting too old for this.” With that, Coach stalked back into the building.

The weight room was exactly what it sounded like- it was a square building with one room that was filled with weights. There wasn’t any air-conditioning, and it always smelled like butt.

Dunbar was already seated on the side of a treadmill, furiously wiping the inside of a helmet. “Nice of you to show up.” He snickered.

“Yeah, well, I was getting my ass chewed. Does that make you feel any better?”

“Loads.” He threw the can of Clorox wipes at me. “I’ve already started on the helmets. You wanna do the pads?”

“If you lace up the sticks.” I consented. With an eye roll, he nodded. We worked in silence for the longest time, cleaning and fixing the gear. It was a bit of a surprise to me. Why weren’t we bickering? How come he was so quiet? What was he thinking about?

Coach poked his head in. “It’s too quiet.” Dunbar and I just looked at each other. “I don’t believe this. It’s too weird. A little bit of yelling never hurt anybody.”

Once he had left, Dunbar turned to me. “How much did you hear earlier?” He looked at me with his intense blue eyes. “Back in the locker room, I mean.”

I mulled over my options. I could either lie or tell the truth. I figured that the truth would piss him off the most, so that’s what I told him. “You were talking about how angry I make you. Scott said that you were putting me in danger, and then you said that you couldn’t do something, and that it made you lose control. It made you really angry.”

Dunbar ran his hand over his face. “Why did you even come in there, Y/N?” He sounded tired. Not upset in the slightest. Damn.

I shrugged. “I don’t know. I was mad after you tackled me, and wanted to see why you always escape to the locker room with Scott.”

He let out a puff of air, laying back across the treadmill. His shirt lifted a tad to reveal his stomach. “Okay, well, don’t do it again, alright?” I didn’t say anything. Dunbar laid there for a little while longer. Then he sat up abruptly. “You done with yours?”

Nodding, I set the last elbow pad down. “Just finished.”

He held open one of the bags and I began to stuff equipment inside. Once we had finished with that, we stowed everything away in the storage closet, and went to tell Coach that we were done.

“Oh, you’re still alive.” He looked us over briefly before returning to whatever he was working on. “Go change out of your clothes; you both smell. Be here tomorrow at seven thirty. You’re going to be trying out some of these military workouts I found on YouTube the other day. I suggest eating a light breakfast.”

Dreading tomorrow, Dunbar and I went our separate ways. The janitor was mopping up the girls’ locker room when I walked inside. “Hi.” I greeted softly. She just nodded and stepped out.

I had just slipped into my clothes- thankfully- when the door swung open. In the threshold was a red-cheeked Dunbar, gripping his change of clothes with a sour expression.

“Um, what do you think you’re doing?” I asked. “This is the girls’ locker room.”

“The boys’ locker room is closed. Coach just left and the janitor locked up.”

“Really?” I crossed my arms. “How did you get your clothes then?”

“I left them sitting out. The janitor was putting them in the lost and found when I caught up to her.”

“Okay. Why can’t you change in the bathroom?”

           “Because they’re all locked.”

“Just drive home in your gym clothes. It won’t kill you, I promise.”

“No. I’m changing now.” Dunbar threw his clothes on the bench and yanked off his shirt. I quickly averted my gaze, focusing on tying my shoes.

Alright, I couldn’t help it. I kept sneaking peeks at him, watching his arms flex as he moved, back rippling, veins standing out along his arms and hands. It was confusing. He made me so angry, but at the same time…

“What are you looking at?” I snapped out of it instantly, blinking. Dunbar had his shirt and jeans on now. “Do you like me or something?” He teased, shifting his weight on his sock-covered feet.

I blanched. “Oh no, sweetheart. Don’t flatter yourself. Besides, I think you like me.” I smirked, feeling quite accomplished.

“No, I’m pretty sure that you like me.” Dunbar sneered. “Maybe that’s why you like to push my buttons so much.”

“You definitely like me.” I stood up, edging my way towards him. “Did you like having me under you earlier?”

Dunbar stepped up to the plate; we were almost chest to chest. “Not as much as you did. ‘Cause you like me. I drive you crazy. Your heart beats faster whenever I’m around, and you don’t even realize it.”

I put a finger on his chest to accentuate my point. “You like me, and it pisses you off because you think that you can’t have me.”

He shook his head. “I don’t think; I know.” He looked at the ground between us. “It wouldn’t be safe for you.”

“What, because you’ve got an I.E.D.? That’s stupid.” I cocked my head to the side as my voice took on a much softer quality. “Liam…”

His blue eyes met mine. “You’ve never called me that before.” He whispered.

           I wrinkled my nose. “What?”

“You’ve never called me ‘Liam’ before. I’m always ‘Dunbar’.”

“Oh,” I watched him chew on his lip. “I never noticed that.”

           “Yeah, well, I always do.”

We didn’t say anything for what felt like the longest time. My heart was pounding in my ears at our close proximity. I could feel every breath he took, almost. It was hot- sweltering, even. I could feel my cheeks blazing.

“Y/N?” Liam murmured. “Be honest with me for a second. What would you do if I kissed you right now?”

“I would kiss you back.” I answered, blatantly honest. I didn’t have it in me to put up any pretenses; I was too captivated in the way his lips moved, wondering how they would feel and taste. “I’m not rude.”

“Okay.” He breathed, hand coming up to cup my cheek. “So, I’m going to kiss you now.”

“Because you like me.” His tongue darted out to wet his nervous lips.

           “Only because you like me.”

“That doesn’t make any sense.” I said, breathless. Our lips brushed each other as he spoke. “It sounded a lot better in my head.”

That’s when I lost it. My patience, that is. My fingers knotted in his hair, pitching him forward. The second our lips met I sucked in a deep breath, molding my body to his, holding him as close to me as I could. Liam’s hands left my face to grip my hips and then slid down to my ass, squeezing, indulging in the soft supple skin. I bit down on his lower lip, earning a hiss.

“Too soon?” He panted as his hands retreated to their position on my hips.

“Bingo.” I wrapped my arms around his neck, planting another kiss on his rosy lips.

“Sorry.” He chuckled. “Just had to get you back for slapping my ass earlier.”

I giggled. “Then I better have the opportunity to pin you down sometime.”

“I am so okay with that.” Liam grinned, giving me a softer, more sensual kiss. I cupped his jaw, stretching on my tip toes, allowing his arms to wind around me, tugging me closer.

“What the hell?” We both jerked away to see a wide-eyed, open-mouthed, red-faced Coach Finstock.

Blushing, I shoved Liam’s chest. He didn’t even budge. “I thought you said that he was gone!”

“I was!” Coach held up his coffee mug. “I forgot this. Now I’m wishing I had just left it.”

“Nothing was happening-” Liam started to protest, but Coach cut him off. “Nothing was- Dunbar, you were making out in the locker room!” He ran his fingers through his thinning hair. “Is this why you two were so quiet earlier? Were you plotting? Maybe going for it on the mats?”

Laughing, I shook my head. “Oh my God, no, Coach. We literally just found out that we like each other like five minutes ago.”

Liam grinned. “So you do like me! You just admitted it!”

“Oh my God, Dunbar, you’re so dense. Obviously I like you, otherwise I wouldn’t have just let you get away with groping my ass.”

“I think I like it better when you call me Liam.” He said as Coach covered his ears, “I don’t want to hear any more! Go home and do whatever you like, just… not in my locker room, for God’s sake!”

Imagine making Axl Jealous

“Who is Axl talking to?” My friend, Aria, asks. I turn around in my chair to see, my drink in hand. Standing by some tall, blonde with her hand on his should is Axl. His red hair laying against a black dress shirt, and a smile on his face.

“Hell if I know. Looks like a whore.” Her red leather dress tight against her skin, her boobs pushed up to her neck. I try to ignore it but watching him laugh and smile with her causes my skin to burn.

The Story

Request: Hey so I have an idea for a fic where the reader is a part of the pack and is a teen mom and hides it from them because she thought they would judge her and stuff?

“Come on Lily. If you’re extra good while I’m at school this week mommy will take you to your favorite playground and buy you some ice cream on Friday, okay?” My beautiful daughter eyes lit up in excitement at the promise I was making her. I picked her up and gave her a tight hug, when we pulled back she held my face in between her tiny delicate hands as she said, “Okay mommy love you be safe!” After she gave me a wet kiss on the cheek I set her down and turned to her babysitter and said my goodbyes then made my way to school.
When I was about 15 I became pregnant with my daughter Lillian Y/L/N everyone who I thought was there for me abandoned me, even my parents who kicked me out the moment I began to show. Everyone except for my grandma, she helped me get on my feet and I stayed with her until Lillian was born then she bought me an apartment in Beacon Hills when Lily was 2 and I was 17, she even gives us money every month so I don’t have to spend my free time working.

We’ve been in here ever since and life ain’t been to bad, hardest part about all of this was hiding my daughter from my friends, it’s not that I feared being abandoned, I mean if you can’t take me for me you don’t deserve me anyways at least that’s what my grandma taught me. I just didn’t want to be judge and to become the talk of the town again. That’s another reason my parents kicked me out of the house they couldn’t take that their daughter was this huge disappointment and now she was bad talked through the town. I don’t want that for Lily, and even though the circumstances were less than ideal she is the best thing that happened to me.

When I pulled up to school all my friends were already outside surrounding my parking spot. “Hey guys how long you been out here waiting.” Lydia came and gave me hug as she said “Not to long at all Y/N, come on let’s head in.”

Tonight was Thursday and we had a pack meeting and I almost couldn’t get a sitter for Lily but thank God just in the knick of time I got a text from Tracy saying she’d make it.
I walked into Scott’s house and plopped down on the couch next to Liam, “Sorry I’m late guys got a little held up.” “Held up doing what? There’s baby powder in your face by the way.” Said Stiles in his usual curious voice. “I fell asleep and was rushing to do my makeup.”

I wipe of the powder from my cheek as my heart beat begins to race slightly, “Are you sure is everything okay Y/N?” Ask Scott with concern written all over his face, “Yea I just also almost hit a deer on the way over, still a little shaken up but I’ll be fine in no time.”
After a swift nod of his head Scott went back to talking about whatever was the topic of discussion before I barged in. That night before I left Stiles pulled me to the side, “Y/N are you sure you’re alright? You’ve been a little off this week.”

In all truth this was the week my parents kick me out and forced me to find my own way to provide for myself and soon to born child but I couldn’t tell him that.

I put in a fake smile as i push aside that thought, “Yeah I’ve just been a little tired some of my grades were starting to slip so I’ve been kind of stressing out.”

I let out a nervous laugh hoping he’ll believe me. He finally nods his head and places a hand on my shoulder, “If you need anything you let me know okay?” I nod my head and bring him in for a hug. “Thanks Stiles I’ll see you later okay.” After our farewell I make my way to my car and quickly get home to my little princess. When I get in I find Tracy sitting on the couch reading a book to Lily as her eyes grow heavy.

She tiredly raises her head to meet my eyes, “Mommy you’re home.” Lily let’s out a tiny yawn and rubs her eyes as she walks over to me, I pick her up and give her hug, “I couldn’t miss tucking my sweet girl in could I?”

Tracy gathers her things and makes her way to the door, I pull her payment from my back pocket and thank her as she walks out the house. “Mommy I’m happy you’re home your stories are so much better than Ms. Tracys’.” She says as she rest her head on my shoulder. I chuckle as I walk her to her room and lay her down in her bed.Once she’s tucked in I sit on the edge of her bed and begin to continue with her favorite story.

“There once was a boy who’s name was a werewolf named Scott McCall and he had a friend who was a human but he cherished dearly named Stiles Stilinski. On this particular night the two boys were with all of their friends try to figure out how they would stop the treacherous werewolfs, the Mean Alphas!” Lily gasped and cover her mouth as she said, “Not the Mean Alphas!” I nod my head with a mock grim face, “Oh yes! Their leader Duke had their good friend Derek captive and the were going to get him back and Scott had all of his friends to help him Stiles, Allison, Lydia, and Isaac.

They fought hard but the Alpha back was strong, was the McCall pack stronger?” Lily nods her head vigorously and I smile down at her, “You bet they were! Eventually they saved their friend Derek and defeated the Alpha pack, they even turned their leader Duke into a not so bad guy. When everything was said and done Scott and his friends all went to Derek’s and has a big celebration for their victory. “Scott thank you for coming to save me from those horrible Alphas.” Derek said to Scott, Scott looked around then Back at Derek as he said, “It took all of us to save you, and I’m happy we did. We’re a family and family always take care of each other.” The end.”

Lily clapped her hands with a wide smile on her face, she let out another yawn as she snuggles into her bed, “Mommy Scott seems like such a nice werewolf I don’t know why Mr. Argent ever want to hurt him.” I stroked her long hair and said, “At least their friends now right?” Lily nods her head as he eyes begin to flutter shut. “Maybe you’ll be friends with him one day too.” Before she closes them all the way she stretches her arms up with a small smile on her face and I fall into her tiny embrace.

“Goodnight mommy you’re the best mom ever. I love you.” I try to keep my tears at bay as I hug her back and kiss her forehead, “Why are you crying mommy?” Lily says as she wipes away my tears with her tiny hands, “They’re happy tears my little princess, I love you so much.” After she gives me a bright smile that I return she drifts into her sleep. I slowly creep out of her bedroom and to my own. I quickly shower and pick my clothes out then go to bed.
School went by incredibly fast and I couldn’t wait to spend time with my little girl. “Hey Y/N you busy after school we were gonna all hang out today.” Says Malia as the rest of the pack follows behind her. I shake my head and close my locker, “Sorry I’m going to visit my grandmother today. Maybe tomorrow or something.” I say as I make my way into the parking lot.

Once I finally get home Lily is bouncing off the walls with excitement. After releasing her sitter from her duties I put her car seat in the back of my car and strap her in. “You ready for the park Lily?” “Oh yeah!” She shouts as she throws her hands up in glee. Lily and I played on the swings together and on the slides, it was such a joy to see her so happy and carefree it made me think I was doing something right. We soon finished and as we loaded back into the car Lily begins to rave about all the ice cream she’s going to get.

When we get to the shop we walk hand in hand or at least I walk while she tries to tug me along to make us get to the yummy goodness that is ice cream. We get up to the window and we get to chocolate madness supreme cones. Once we receive our cones we walk hand in hand along the sidewalk. “Y/N?” I hear my name called from behind me, I stop in my tracks at the familiarity of the voice.

I slowly turn around still holding my baby girl’s hand as I meet the eyes of everyone from the pack, they all look between me and Lily probably trying to figure out who the small girl is standing next to me. “Mommy who are those people?” “Mommy?!” They all say in unison, i let out a nervous sigh as Lily takes up refuge in my shadow. “Hey everyone I guess it about time you met my daughter, Lillian Y/L/N.” I crouch down so I’m almost level with Lillian as I look her in the eyes, “Sweetheart these are my friends you actually know some of them, Scott McCall, Stiles Stilinski, and Lydia Martin now these are some new people I haven’t gotten to the stories about them yet. That’s Malia Tate, Kira Yukimura, Liam Dunbar and Mason Hewitt.”

She gasp at Scott’s name and says “The Nice alpha like from my stories, why didn’t you ever tell me you knew him?!” I look back at my friends who all share shocked wide eyed expressions, I return my gaze to Lily with a small smile while I shrug and nod my head. She runs over to Scott and hugs his legs tightly, “You’re a lot taller than I thought you would be but you seem as nice as my mommy says you are, I’m so happy to get meet you!” Lily says as she smiles up at Scott he lets out a chuckle as he crouches down and hugs her back. “I’m happy to meet you to Lillian.” She steps back and says, “you can call me Lily like the flower.” Everyone chuckles as they also become acquainted with my daughter, before I know it everyone is standing around me while Liam, Mason, and Lillian chase each other around.

“So you have a daughter.” Says Lydia, I nod my head as I look to the ground in an attempt to keep the tears from springing up in my eyes. “And you told her about the supernatural.” I nod my head again as my cheeks grow red. “Why didn’t you tell us you had a daughter?” Asked Kira with a puzzled expression, “Because I didn’t want you guys judging me because I’m a teen mom. I didn’t want that to get out and then rumors start spreading around town and my daughter is criticized and judge and looked down on because of how she was brought into the world.”

I sniff as I wipe my eyes and look up at everyone to see their sad expressions, “Y/N we would never, with everything you know about us and everything that has happened to us you still look at us with such hope and light. That’s the same light we can see in your daughter, just because you had her while you were young doesn’t mean that you’re a bad person.” Says Stiles as Scott picks up and says, “It makes you a strong and amazing person, we can only imagine how much it takes to raise a child all by yourself. Now you don’t have to because we’ll help you. We don’t think any less of you if, anything we think even more of you.”

I look at everyone and see the small smiles on all of their faces. Lily runs over to me and hides behind my legs has she says, “Mommy! Can we go to Scott’s house with everyone? Liam said that’s we’re everyone is going and they’ll have pizza!” I look up at Scott for his approval, he nods his head and I crouch back down to Lily. “Sure baby.”
When we get there we sit in the living room eating and chatting. I watch as Lily goes around to everyone and asking what they are. She sighs when Stiles tells her he’s a human but she laugh when he says he knows how to use a baseball bat. He tickles her but stops as he looks up at me with excitement and says, “I can teach her the ways of the force! She can watch all of the Star Wars movies and become my Padawan! I will be her obi-Wan Kenobi!”

He lifts her up and swings her around causing her to laugh and giggle with joy. We all roll our eyes and then I look around at everyone, “I really appreciate this you guys, not just being okay with it but being so open and even going as far as to want to help me raise my daughter, you guys don’t know I much it means to me.” I smile at everyone and Scott gets up and says, “We’re a family and family always take care of each other.” Lily races over to me and sits in my lap as she look up at me with her big beautiful eyes and says, “Mommy it’s like what he said in the story!”
Hope you guys enjoyed this, and I’m sorry for being a POS and not updating for a long time im going to try and answer at least a request a week. Love you guys and tell me thoughts on this 😍💜💕

You’re The Reason

Tumblr won’t let me upload photos, so when my internet goes back to normal, I’ll upload the photo :D

Request: short or long (whichever u like ur the writer😁) imagine based off the song “You’re The Reason I Come Home” by Ron Pope. PeterxReader are dating and have been best friends since middle school. Reader doesnt know he’s Spidey and when he’s on his way home after fighting villains he contemplates with whether or not he should tell her. When he gets to his apartment late at night (where she sleeps sometimes) he decides to tell her or not (u decide) sorry if this is too cheesy lol

Sorry, I didn’t make this as sweet and adorable as it was supposed to be…

Peter had never really understood why you had agreed to be his girlfriend two years ago.  He had always seen himself as the geeky, nerdy kid. But you always constantly assured him that you thought he was a technological (and very cute) genius. Yet, he was still in awe of the fact that you had actually said yes when he had nervously asked you out so long ago. Ever since that day, the two of you had been literally glued together, especially since you guys had been best friends even before you started dating.

High School Lover - D. L. Fan Fiction - Part 1

“Goodmorning everyone. Today we will be learning about Pythagoras. So pay attention because it’s not that-“ mister Anderson got cut of by a door opening abruptly and revealing Derek. “Look who came 10 minutes late again” mister Anderson said and narrowed his eyes at him.

“Yeah, yeah, what ever” Derek murmured and walked tot he back of thee class where he always sat, if he showed up though. I didn’t know Derek really well, I know that he’s my age, 17 years old. He’s the best football player of the school, he’s known for smoking weed and drinking alcohol and he ddoesn’t give a fuck about school either. Sometimes he doesn’t come to school for days, but when he comes he’s always late.

It was lunchbreak, finally. Me and my friends went to the cafetaria and sat on our place where we usually sat.

“We have to do partner work at biology and you don’t wanna know with who mister Jefferson set me up with”” Kehlani sighed.

“With who?” we all said in a sing – song voice.

“With Dean” she blushed and looked down. She has a major crush on Dean for so long. Maybe this is their chance to become a couple. We were so excited for her that she has a project with him. But the only downside is that he is a football player, a popular one and he’s best friends with Derek. “But what if we are a together, you know they are the sort of guys that cheats the most” Kehlani said while rubbing her temples.

The football players came inside and all the attention went to them. Dean came over to our table and looked at Kehlani and asked; “Do you want to come to my house to work at the project?”

“Uhm, yes.” she said quit.

“Good, I see you at your locker after school so we can drive to my house together” he smiled at her and left with the rest of the boys.

“So class maybe you heard it from other students but you are going to do a project about a certain subject that you choose by yourself. But it has to be related with biology and you are paired up with another student, that I already choosed” mister Jefferson said.

“Allison” and he looked at me “you are paired up with Blake”

Blake smiled at me from the corner of the room. Well he isn’t that bad I think, he is a football player, but he’s smart though.

What are your favourite fics that you've read ?

Most of my favs are here (I need to do some updating though, missing a few more recent ones) but how about these categories for a distillation:

Fic I’ve re-read more than once:

  • You See the Smile That’s On My Mouth (it’s hiding the words that don’t come out) by@nevervalentines (adult) Clarke wonders why everyone doesn’t just kiss their best friends all the time, especially when they taste really nice and have such pretty, quiet smiles.
  • you’re magic & you’re real by @unicyclehippo & @possibilistfanfiction (aka GAF AU, teen, boarding school AU; WIP; companion pieces here) Lexa is kind—and a little awkward and she stole their candles with a smile and she’s thin and careful and purposeful and thoughtful and she has small ears and small, tender hands, and she wakes up after a late night solely because she wants to make them bread from her home and talk to them about the mountains that brush the sky, and she’s a little clumsy and she keeps a dictionary in her backpack and her sneakers are double knotted and she’s a little bit terrifying too.
  • Love on the Ground by @hedaswolf (adult, post-s2 canon) It looks like two angels walked into a clearing, laid down side by side, and disappeared

More recent ones that I’m obsessed with and am about to re-read one million times:

Love advice (Jaehee x MC)

Part 2

Summary: The one where Jaehee and Zen are bros

“Is it normal to want to kiss a friend,” Jaehee says and Zen chokes on his cookie.

“Jaehee, what?” He coughs out, taking a sip of coffee to clear his throat. He should have been more suspicious when Jaehee turned up at this door with freshly baked cookies but it’s Jaehee and she brings food by every once in a while, he’s gotten used to it. Normally, she comes with you but today you’re conspicuously absent and Zen should really have been more suspicious.

“I didn’t have many good friends in school or while I was working for Mr Han so my experience is limited. She’s my first good friend, my best friend actually and lately, whenever I see her, I want to kiss her. Is that normal?” Jaehee doesn’t even look embarrassed by what she’s saying, it feels like she gets more and more straightforward every time Zen sees her. And apparently, Zen is now her love advisor.

“No Jaehee, that’s not quite normal,” he says and takes another bite of his cookie. It tastes like betrayal, delicious betrayal. Why exactly is she coming to him again? The guy who hasn’t had a girlfriend in more than six years? If Jaehee weren’t Jaehee, he’d suspect her of bragging.

“Do you want to date her?” He asks and Jaehee’s brows furrow.

“…date? I’ve never dated a woman before nor have I thought of doing so,” She looks confused but her eyes are getting brighter by the moment. Zen’s seen Jaehee work before and he sees her processing everything with same efficiency. It’s a little scary and while he’s happy Jaehee is comfortable enough to share her troubles with him, he never quite expected to be the one helping her through an apparent sexuality crisis.

“Do you find her attractive?” He knows you’re head over heels for Jaehee, he’s listened to you talk about her many charms over your frequent phone calls. In fact, everyone in the RFA is pretty much aware of your adoration. Everyone but Jaehee it seems. Zen feels a headache begin to build, this is exactly the plot of one of his earlier musicals ‘Hug Kiss, Fall in Love’ and honestly, he doesn’t want to go through the long, dramatic pining in real life.

“Yes.” Jaehee doesn’t even appear to think about her answer. It’s kind of cute, actually.

“Why don’t you try asking her on a date then, and see how it goes from there,” If Zen ever gets a role as a relationship counsellor, he has it locked down.

“Okay, I’ll try asking her out for a date. Thanks for your advice,” Jaehee says after a long moment of consideration and Zen is so surprised he nearly drops his cup. He was expecting more anguished conversations on whether you’d even want to go on a date, on how maybe she’s confusing her friendship for you with romantic feelings, on how she doesn’t want to ruin your current relationship. Instead, Jaehee is calmly sipping her coffee. She looks determined, confident in whatever plan she’s thought up and Zen knows it’s because of you. Half a year ago, you gave Jaehee confidence to quit her job. Half a year later, you’ve given her confidence to find love. It’s cute, and Zen is always glad to see two princesses finding their way together.

“So I was thinking about the menu for the café…”Jaehee says, and Zen smiles at her enthusiasm as she explains the different desserts she’s planning on when the place finally opens. She’s gotten prettier, her hair’s grown long enough to tie back and a loose strand frames her face. She always looks so animated when she talks about the café, just as animated as when she talks about you.

It’ll work out. Zen knows it.

Chris Pratt Painted A Shirtless Self-Portrait And It’s Kinda Awesome

MTV News spoke to Pratt’s childhood friend, who owns the art.

Turns out “Jurassic World” and “Parks and Recreation” star Chris Pratt has wayyy more skills than battling dinosaurs and potentially predicting the future. He’s also a talented artist who’s been putting paint on canvas since he was a teen.

Earlier this week, Imgur user slartibartfas posted a Chris Pratt interview from a 2003 issue of TeenPeople (#throwback). In it, Pratt talked about his love for art and revealed that he’s even “painted girls I know and secretly long for.” Heh.

So where can one find Pratt’s masterpieces? The mural Pratt mentions in the TeenPeople interview — “a Greek scene on the wall of my friend’s restaurant” — lives at Omega Pizza & Pasta in Granite Falls, WA. Another painting belongs to his best friend Alex Petrakopoulos, whose family owns this same restaurant. Pratt worked as a dishwasher and pizza deliveryman for Omega in his teens alongside Petrakopoulos. Petrakopoulos’ mom, Barbara, paid Pratt $200 to paint the scene.

“Me and Chris met back in the fourth grade,” Petrakopoulos, now 36, told MTV News over the phone. “He was quite an outstanding guy. The first day I met him, he was on top of the playground and in the middle of a huge fist fight … An older guy was picking on a whole bunch of people, and Chris went in there and stuck up for them and put himself on the line.”

It was the only school fight Pratt ever got into, Petrakopoulos said, but it led to the duo’s eventual friendship: “I was thinking in my head ’I want to be friends with that guy’ and I introduced myself, and ever since then we’ve been best friends.”

Petrakopoulos was 19 when he moved to Hawaii in the late 1990s. Pratt, also 19 at the time, joined him shortly after.

“I’d always come back to visit my parents and visit the restaurant,” Petrakopoulos said. “I offered to buy him [Chris] a ticket to Maui and he agreed on it. I spent my last $410 dollars that I had on me and bought Chris a one-way ticket to Maui.”

The pair kept things simple during their time in Hawaii. They lived in a van or couch-surfed, Petrakopoulos said, and showered on the beach or in friends’ houses. Pratt, ever the artist, even painted a shirtless self-portrait of himself. It kinda looks like a mirror selfie, except with paint. He gifted the artwork to Petrakopoulos, who now keeps the piece in his home.

“We used to live a super-simple life. This picture really represents who Chris was … at 19 years old.”

Pratt ended up meeting writer-director Rae Dawn Chong at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., a restaurant Petrakopoulos worked at on the island. Chong cast Pratt as the starring role in her 2000 short, “Cursed Part 3.” It was giant leap forward in Pratt’s career.

“Chris says to me all the time, Alex, if you hadn’t bought me that ticket, there’s no way I’d be where I am right now,” Petrakopoulos said.

Pratt’s fame grows and grows every day, but Petrakopoulos and him remain close friends.

“Every time he [Chris] comes to town, he’ll come and visit us at the restaurant. There was one particular time … Chris and his wife Anna Faris came walking in … me and my brother were so busy, the whole restaurant was jam-packed full. I looked right at [Chris] and said, ’Chris, you have to wash some dishes for me. I need pots, pans, plates, silverware, everything.’ … He put on an apron … He went straight to work. Then I looked at his wife, Anna, and I was like, ’Anna, I need you to take tables, you gotta be a waitress right now.’ And she’s totally down.”

“No matter how big they’ve ever gotten, they’re always down to help out,” Petrakopoulos said. “They’ll never be stuck-up and they’re just 100% real people.”

Can I Tell Her? part 2

I wasn’t planning on doing a part 2, but why not. Hopeful it’s good.

part 1

This weekend with Riley was amazing. I wish I was had the courage to tell her that I love her. Maybe she feels the same. Throughout, the weekend there were signs that I thought maybe she did. I still can’t risk it.

So, here I am in our school hallway waiting to see her walk down the hall. I need to get a glimpse of that beautiful smile. I get lost in thought and before I know it someone is nudge me in my side.

“Hey Huckleberry. How was your weekend with Riley? Did you confess your love to her?” Maya teases me.

“Maya, stop. We just hung out. We are friends.” I say a little agitated.

“Whoa, calm down.” I hear Farkle say. “She was just kidding, but serious. You guys need to just need to be honest with each other. You love her, she loves you.”
“Are we talking about Lucas here and Cotton Candy Face?” Zay says walking over to Maya and intertwining their fingers.

“Can we stop talking about me and Riley please? Someone can hear you guys.”

I hear laughter come from all of them. Why is this so funny to them. “You realize everyone knows how you and Riley feel. You both think you guys are good at hiding it, but you aren’t. Like I said Riley loves you. You love her. Stop lying to everyone and just admit.” Farkle says with a little bit of seriousness in his voice.

“Fine, okay. You guys are right. I have feelings for Riley, but can we not tell her. I’ll tell her when I’m ready, and I don’t even know if she feels anything for me.” Again they all start laughing. Why is this funny to them. It isn’t funny at all.

“Hey guys, what’s so funny?” I hear the only voice that can make me nervous.
“Nothing, just making fun of Huckleberry here.”
“Maya, that isn’t nice.” She turns her attention to me and gives me a smile that makes my heart race. “Lucas, I had a lot of fun this weekend. Maybe we can do it again.”
“I’d really like that.” For a second we get lost into each other’s eyes, that is until the bell rings.

The rest of the day goes on and of course Riley is all I can think about. Was she really serious about us hanging out again, just us. It probably won’t be. Maya, Zay, Farkle, and Smackle will probably join us. They’ll push me to tell Riley, but I won’t.

We all meet at Topanga’s to do our homework the way we’ve always done since middle school. We are in our final year of high school, and we are still meeting here to do homework.

Zay and I walk to the counter to get the group smoothies. While we wait Zay asks, “So, how was your weekend with Sunshine?”

“It was amazing man. She is amazing. There were so many times I just wanted to tell her the truth, but I couldn’t.”

“All you need is twenty seconds of ridiculous amount of courage. Just twenty seconds to not care how big of a fool you’ll make of yourself. Great things will come from it.” If only I can find those twenty seconds. We grab the smoothies from the counter and take them back to the group.

“I was thinking this weekend we can have a movie night at my house. My parents are going to Philadelphia to visit my grandparents and taking Auggie with them. I was going to stay behind and catch up on some homework. What do you guys say, movie night my house?” Riley asks the group.

“My beloved and I have plans for the weekend.” Smackle chimes in.

“I’m meeting her parents this weekend.” Farkle says a little too nervous.

“Peaches, Zay? You guys going to come?” How come she didn’t ask me if I was going to go? Does she not want me there? There I go over thinking everything.

“Yeah we are there.”

“I go where she goes.” Zay says wrapping his arm around Maya’s shoulder.

“Lucas?” Riley turns my attention to me. There goes my heart. I can feel it beating it faster.

“Y-y-yeah of course I’ll uh be there. I wouldn’t miss it.” She smiles at me. A big Riley smile and it’s a smile I can stare at all day. The things this girl can do to me.

Another weekend spent with Riley, granted Zay and Maya are going to be there. At least I’ll be there with Riley. It’s Friday and it’s the end of the school day. Tomorrow is when we all go to Riley’s and I am beyond excited. I know I’m not going to tell her. I haven’t found my twenty seconds of courage yet. I’m waiting for the time to come. I need to find the courage because I know something great will happen between me and Riley.

Zay came with me to my house, while Maya went home with Riley. It’s been hard to lately to separate Zay and Maya since they started dated. I couldn’t be happier for them. My best friend is happy with an amazing girl. I’m just glad it isn’t Riley. At one point, I thought Zay might have feelings for Riley. Thank goodness he didn’t. I don’t know what I would have done if he did.

Anyways, I need some time with just Zay. Guy time. Majority of time is spent in my room playing video games because what else are we going to do. The only time we stop is when went downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat.

“You excited about going to Riley’s tomorrow night?” Zay smirks at me.

“You know I am. Is that even a question.”

“Just tell her how you feel man. Find the courage inside and just tell her.”

“You sound like my mom.”
“Who sounds like me?” my mom ask walking into the kitchen. “Oh, Zay. Why am I not surprise.” My mom walks over to Zay and gives him a hug. “Hey Linda.” Zay says.

“So why do you sound like me Zay?” Zay looks at me and at my mom not sure whether to say something or not. What now he doesn’t have anything to say. “Someone going to answer me?” My mom looks from me to Zay.

“Well I was just telling Lucas here to find so courage, so-”

“So he can tell Riley how he feels.” my mom cuts him off. “Yeah I tell him that girl loves him too.”
“Right?” Zay says with a smirk.

“Anyways, enough of that. Momma tomorrow is it okay if I go to Riley’s for a movie night? Zay and Maya are going to be there too.”
“Yeah that’s okay. I’m going to head up stairs. Long day at work. Goodnight, honey. Goodnight, Zay.”
“Goodnight, Momma.” I walk over to her and kiss her cheek.

“Goodnight, Linda.”

Zay waits for my mom to walk upstairs before saying anything. “Your mom knows about how you feel for Riley?” he asks shocked. “Did you tell her?”

“I didn’t need to. She guessed it, plus, I told her. Moms know all apparently.”

“You were always a momma’s boy.” he snickers.

“What can I say? I love my momma.” I laugh. “C’mon let’s go play call of duty and I’ll show how it’s done.”

I can’t sleep tonight. It’s like last time. I was too excited to sleep. I can feel the nerves building inside my stomach. I want Riley to be mine more than anything, but I’m still not sure if she feels the same. Yes there are times that I think she feels the same, but I’m not going to do anything until I know for sure. I can’t risk making her uncomfortable around me if she doesn’t feel the same. God, I hope she does.

Riley is the most beautiful person I have ever seen. Inside and out. She is just amazing. I just, I love her. I love Riley Matthews. Everyone seems to know that though, so it’s nothing new. One day, I can only hope, I can be lucky enough to call her mine.

The next day times drags on. It always happens. When you want time to go by fast, so instead, it goes by extra slow. Zay went home in the morning to shower and what not. We were just going to meet at Riley’s. I’m pretty sure Maya is just going to stay there anyways.

I try to past time anyway I can. I play video games. I pick up my guitar and practice a little. I’m kind of happy Pappy Joe pushed me to play when I was younger because now I love to play. I wrote a few songs about Riley of course. Songs she’ll probably never hear. My favorite is called the beautiful believer. It isn’t about my feelings about her, it is solely about her and how she is. That’s what makes it my favorite.

She doesn’t see the beauty in herself,

but she sees the beauty all around

She believes in the impossible,

when everything is telling her to stop

She sees the good in everything,

even though she knows that evil exist

She has brown eyes that shine so bright

She has brown hair that flows like a waterfall

She has a smile that can melt the coldest of hearts

and she has a heart that could never hold any hate

The day that she stops seeing the beauty in life

is the day that everyone should be scared

I don’t know what I would do if she ever stops believing

If that day ever comes,

I would know that the end was near

The day when all she sees is the madness in the world

is the day I no longer have hope for mankind

She can make anybody see the beauty in the little things

She can turn the unbelievers into believers

She can show anybody the light amongst the darkness

She is one of kind, no one can compare

She has brown eyes that shine so bright

She has brown hair that flows like a waterfall

She has a smile that can melt the coldest of hearts

and she has a heart that could never hold any hate

Anybody who has been lucky enough to meet her

must have done something good in a past life

Keep her close in your life

Because I can promise you’ll be in for a real ride

I must have practiced longer than I thought because before I knew it I’m getting ready to leave. I waste no time. I hurriedly take a shower and get dressed and I’m headed out the door.

The walk to Riley’s I try to get my thoughts in line. Whenever I’m around her, I have to make sure I don’t let an I love you slip. I’ve had to stop myself a couple of times. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t because then she would know.

I get lost in thought and soon I’m standing in front of Riley’s apartment building. “Hey!” I turn around and see Zay jogging across the street.

“Sup.” I say a little too nervous.

“Dude, chill out. You hung out with her last weekend just the two of you guys. This time me and Maya are going to be there. I would think you would be less nervous.” He’s right. He pats me on my back, “Let’s go in.”

We walk into Riley’s apartment, and I see a sense of worry on her face. Oh, no what’s wrong?

“I made the mistake of letting Maya pick the movie, so we are stuck watching a scary movie.” Riley says, now I know what’s wrong. She absolutely hates anything scary. Fear is written all over her face.

“Riles, it won’t be so bad. You have Huckleberry here to protect you.” Maya teases, and I see Riley blush.

“I’ll go pop the popcorn,” Riley says walking to the kitchen. “Maya put the movie in and get it started.”

I follow Riley into the kitchen, “Do you need any help?” She jumps a little, I must have startled her. “The movie hasn’t even started yet, and you are already jumpy.” She lets out a light chuckle.

“Yeah, sorry. Uh yeah, if you want to get drinks from the fridge.”

“What movie are we watching anyways?” I asks taking a seat on the couch. Maya gets a little evil grin.

“The Gallows,” she says in a sinister like whisper.

“Isn’t that based on a true story?” Zay question.

“WHAT?!” Riley exclaimed. “It’s based on a true story. That makes it worst. I can’t watch this movie!”
“Hey, don’t worry. I’ll be here. You aren’t alone.” I wrap my arm around Riley’s shoulder and pull her closer to me. Again I see her blush. Maybe, just maybe she feels something for me.

“Okay, Peaches press play. Let’s get this over with.”

As soon as the movie starts, Riley pulls her knees to her chest. She really hates scary movies. She’s only putting herself through this right now because it’s what Maya wants. I look over at Zay and Maya, and Maya has her head laying on should with her arm draped across him. I see his grip around Maya’s shoulder tighten. He really loves her. I don’t think he has outright said it to her or even out loud, I just know he does. I’ll even go as far as saying I think Maya loves Zay. I think they are perfect for each other.

I turn my attention to Riley. God, she is beautiful even in sweatpants and a t-shirt with her hair in a messy bun. She is just stunning. Something must have happened in the movie because Riley grabs onto my arm and is holding on for dear life. I must have missed it. Most of the time I watch her reaction to the movie.

“Sorry.” Riley says looking down at my arm where she is still holding on.

“It’s okay. I told I would protect you.” It’s dark, but I can still see the blush that creeps into her cheeks. The blush that she tries to hide.

The movie is coming to an end when Maya’s phone rings and scares all of us.

Yeah, I’m here at Riles.

Right now?

Okay. I’ll be home in a bit.

I love you too.

“So, that was my mom. Her and Shawn want me home.” I see Riley make a face.

“WHAT?! But you said you could spend the night! That is the only reason I even agreed to watch this movie!” Riley starts to panic and before I know it my mouth is moving.

“I can spend the night. I’ll say I’m spending the night at Zay’s. I’ll sleep here on the couch.” She looks at me and before she can say anything Maya is answering for her.

“See it all works out. Zay work me home?” Maya looks at Zay.

“Of course, Sugar. See you guys later.”

“Bye honey.” Maya grabs Riley and pulls her into a hug. I can see it all over Riley’s face that she is mad. “Oh c’mon, don’t be mad at me.” Maya pouts at her, and Riley lets out a little laugh.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Peaches. You’re lucky Lucas is staying here or else I would be mad.” Is she happy I’m staying the night? I mean of course she is relieved that I’m here because she doesn’t have to be alone after watching a scary movie. We all say bye to each other and soon it’s just me and Riley.

We spend hours talking and when I decide to finally check the time it’s already 2 in the morning. Woah, where did the time go? Talking to Riley. I always lose track of time when I’m with her.

“Is it really 2 in the morning?” She asks finally looking at the clock herself.

“Yeah. I guess it is.” I already knew that.

“I should probably go to my room and go to sleep.” She is a little hesitant to get up. Does she not want to leave?

“It is late? Are you going to be okay alone in your room? Not too scared?” I tease her a little.

“Uh maybe a little,” she looks down at her hands fidgeting with her fingers. “Do you m-m-maybe want to sleep in m-my room?” Did she really ask me that? She did! Oh my god! “I mean you don’t have to. Sorry I shouldn’t have asked.”

“NO!” I exclaimed. “Sorry, that was loud wasn’t it?” She laughs and nods her head. “I’ll sleep in your room. You know, so you aren’t scared.” I can feel the nerves and butterflies, a mixture of both, rattle in my stomach as I follow her to her room.

Why is this such a big deal? I’ve slept in her room before. Even on her bed with her, with the door close. But there was always someone here. Whether it be her parents, or the rest of our friends. Now we are alone, and I think that makes both of us nervous. At least, it makes me nervous.

I walk to the side of the bed I usually sleep on. It’s basically my side. Luckily, I came dressed in comfortable clothes. It wouldn’t matter. I’ll sleep amazing because I’ll be sleeping next to her. My dream girl. Damn I need those twenty seconds of courage. Where are there?

I get into the bed and Riley follows suit. “Thank you for staying the night, Lucas.”

“I’d do anything for you, Riley.”

“Why?” That throws me off guard. I wasn’t expecting that.

“Why what?”

“Why would you do anything for me?” I never thought that she would question that, ever.

“You are my best friend, Riley. Yeah there is Zay and Farkle, but you, Riley, I can talk to you about everything and anything. It’s my favorite thing in the world.” I take a deep breath. I’m feeling something. Is this it? I hear a sigh come from Riley. “Just being around you is my favorite thing in the world.” I see a smile the ones that go from ear to ear spread across Riley’s face.

I think I’m getting the courage. I need to tell her now before I lose all courage. “Riley, I-”

“Lucas,” she cuts me off. “I need to tell you something before my twenty seconds are up.” Twenty seconds? “I’m probably going to make a fool out of myself, but right now I don’t care. I love you, Lucas. Not like a brother, not like a friend, but real love. I always have. I’ve felt something for you since the subway, and it’s just grown to something stronger. I’ve been scared to say anything. I can’t lose you, Lucas.” She takes in a deep breath, “I want to be with you, if you-” I grab her face and press my lips against hers. I can feel fireworks going off. My heart is about to explode and the butterflies in my stomach are going crazy. “Whoa,” escapes from her lips.

“Riley, I love you too. I’ve been scared to say anything for the same reason. I need you in my life. I just I couldn’t risk telling you, and you not feel the same way. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship.” She smiles at me, “This isn’t how I thought I would ever ask you. I just dreamt about it if I’m being honest.” She laughs. I sit up straights and she does the same facing me. “Riley Matthews, will you be my girlfriend?”

“I’d never thought you’d ask. Literally.” She kisses me and again I feel the fireworks and everything that comes with it.

We lay down, and she snuggles into my chest. Just like in my dreams, but now it’s a reality. I still have one thing on my mind. “Riley?”

“What did you mean by your twenty seconds being up?”

She laughs, “Oh that. Zay told me sometimes you just need twenty seconds of an insane amount of courage to do something you never thought you would.” I let out a light chuckle. “He told you the same thing, didn’t he?” I nod my head. “I think he knew what he was doing.”

“Me, too.” I agree with her. I kiss her forehead and I see a small smile form on her lips. Her eyes are close. I know she’s tired. She never stays up late.

This is all I’ve ever wanted. Riley in my arms being able to finally call her my girlfriend. I hear her breathing get heavier I know she is finally asleep. I place another kiss on her forehead. I guess my thoughts don’t have to stay my thoughts. I got the girl.
