Operation Fix the Science Babies 3.0: In which Coulson is 1000% done with HYDRA.

Inside Dominion: 207

Carl Beukes: I think that was a beautiful thing for Gabriel, to learn what it felt like to basically be human, and feel that bond between human beings.
Tom Wisdom: I don’t know if Michael every says or does anything without a thought behind it, I think he knows exactly what he’s trying to do. He brings up a story of David and Goliath, because he wants Gabriel to remember a time when he was a better person, when he liked himself, when he was as happy as which is when he was looking after this other boy. He was a Chosen One, just like Alex. Gabriel definitely gets that comparison.
Vaun Wilmott: His belief after that was that God’s, their Father’s, plans may be perfect, but humanity, humans will corrupt them. You really see that he was a father to this son, and losing this son has just completely altered him.
Gregg Simon: In a sense, this was one of the key circumstances that changed Gabriel’s whole perspective on humanity.
Carl Beukes: When David was ripped away from Gabriel, it opened the door to that world of hating humanity. And this does kind of work. It makes him stronger. It brings them back to where they used to be, and that gives him strength. Julian should’ve never put them together, I think. Michael and Gabriel have this unbreakable thread. When we’re on set, it feels as if Tom Wisdom and I have the same thing. Often we don’t have to speak to each other, we laugh at something.
Tom Wisdom: They love each other and the last thing they’re gonna ever do is let one another die.
Carl Beukes: Gabriel does go within and does open his heart to the relationship that Michael has with Alex, and for once sees it for what it is.

I don’t understand how some of y’all saw and listened to the Bangtan trailer and came away with “swag Min” or “ball is life” jokes. 花樣年華 was more intense, more emotional, and more impactful than the vast majority of Bangtan’s songs so far and (in my opinion) more than almost any of the songs on Namjoon’s mixtape other than maybe 각성.

I’ve seen a lot of people giving Yoongi the appreciation he deserves for this, don’t get me wrong. But the fact that this is the first time Yoongi’s work has been given the spotlight like this and a large section of the fandom is just rehashing tired “swag” jokes is kind of…frustrating to see.

“Listen, I just— I get it. But whatever you have to say… can it wait until I have some coffee in me? I can’t process the world right now until I get some Java with a touch of rum or something stronger. Long week.”

Out of curiosity, what don't you like about Tim?

I think it has to do with some kind of complex feelings that I have about the respective roles of children and adults. Setting Stephanie aside for a few minutes (we’ll come back to her later), you can make a case that the other three needed to be Robin. It’s what was best for them at the time. Dick needed closure on his parents’ murders, Jason needed literally any kind of support system, and Damian was already an assassin– he needed moral guidance for the things he was already doing.

I think it’s very clear, on the other hand, that Tim didn’t become Robin for his own benefit. It was for Bruce. And I kind of have a problem with that.

Obviously, this is a work of fiction– if it weren’t, I would never support the use of children in warfare under any circumstances– but even if you do suspend belief like you’re supposed to, I think letting Tim become Robin was a bad decision. He wasn’t like the others. He wasn’t broken or abandoned, and he didn’t need Bruce– he already had a family. Maybe they weren’t always around, but they were there, and they loved him.

The same is true for Stephanie, and I have the same objections. The difference is that if you look at Steph when she was first starting out, and then again at the end of her Batgirl run, you can see that she benefitted from the whole thing. She came out of it a happier person. Tim really, really didn’t.

The poor kid’s been through hell. He lost his first dad, and then pretty much everybody else after that. He lost contact with all of his friends. He dropped out of high school.

I don’t necessarily think that Tim is unhappy now, but I think he could have been equally, if not more happy if Bruce had just told him no. He would have been fine without Robin. I figure that one of the most important responsibilities that adults have is to protect children, and instead of doing that, Bruce let Tim throw his life down the drain for his own comfort, doing a job that another kid had just died doing. That’s wrong.

None of that reflects poorly on Tim at all. The only thing he wanted to do was help people, and that’s great– but children shouldn’t be asked to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. It really rubs me the wrong way that they let him.

Basically what I’m saying is that there’s very little I don’t like about Tim– just a lot that I don’t like about the original situation, because it was intentionally written to be about Bruce. Looking at it from the perspective of a writer trying to tell a story, it makes perfect sense. It’s just when you start to look at Tim as his own person that it makes me uneasy.

For the RusPrus lovers, here’s an other crappy edit with my colored pics.

You can find the separate post for them (with the sources to the original drawings) Here and Here.

I couldn’t put them side by side because their proportions were too different (and I already edit Prussia’s one), but I still like this disposition… It’s like Ivan is leaving home for work, and turns his head back to Gilbert to say “I’ll be back soon, don’t miss me too much rabbit ~ ♥” and Gilbert is like “Stop saying stupid things and be careful”

Hi Sasha. I hope you're well. Today it crossed my mind: it truly surprises me that people, even those who see the stunt, don't focus on the fact the "new team" (which I do think is Azoff) publications are writing about 4/5 AND Zayn. It's consistent, too: the 1D/Oasis stuff, the Ziam stories, etc. Billboard don't need to talk about no LQ fanvid of Liam singing "Wonderwall" (more 1D/Oasis promoooo) or Zayn's green hair. Why would they link Zayn to 4/5 if he were really gone? Shouldn't they [1]

deemphasize 1D when they talk about Zayn since he’s being presented as not a typical boybander? Why would they link 4/5 to Zayn? Shouldn’t they be moving on? This is weird press for a band that supposedly lost a member. IMHO it makes no sense for Azoff to do this unless they have already invested in all the boys. This is business, OK?! No way is Azoff giving either 4/5 or Zayn free promo out of amnesty or kindness to the other. (Just like how there’s no way Zayn’s still working with M!M reps [2] unless he’s still with M!M.) And I find it hard to believe Irving Azoff, who is known for managing bands, would invest in either 1D as 4/5 or solo Zayn, both unproven products, at the expense of the proven product that is OT5 (and you can get solo Harry/Louis/Liam/Zayn/Niall out of that anyway). I think the boys all know their stock as individuals only rises if they’re attached to a successful band. It all needs fuzzy logic to explain otherwise. We need answers yesterday. LOL [3]

I agree. I do see lots of blogs harping on things they think they have a good explanation for and ignoring things they don’t. Granted, it’s not super easy to make sense of what’s going on, but I do find that intellectually dishonest.

I do think that if this split were genuine that 1D’s team would be working against him getting a lot of good press because the net effect makes it seem like 1D was holding him back. And that’s pretty much exactly what’s happening. I remember reading that Nick Jonas said after the Jonas Brothers broke up he went mostly silent as far as press and publicity was concerned for a little while. That definitely hasn’t happened with Zayn. Three months later and he’s still getting a ton of press. I can’t think of anyone else right now who consistently gets press for every little thing they do besides Caitlyn Jenner or Taylor Swift. Where is everybody on team 1D who’s supposed to neutralize the one who went rogue? It’s not a good look to have a member quit, period. 1D’s team should have been working to mitigate the damage. In fact, that should’ve been negotiated as part of the agreement when he left. It doesn’t add up.

It does look like 1D will be repped in some capacity by the Azoffs once they’re free of Modest. Too many hints have been dropped. And I don’t think they’d take on 1D if they thought they were circling the drain. I trust they think 1D–including Zayn–are still very viable. To me, I suspect they’ve been giving Harry and Louis advice for a hot minute. And now Zayn is their current pet project as they transform him into a major celebrity in his own right. I just don’t think Modest could pull this off alone. If they could, they surely would’ve done it for Perrie by now.

I wish I could tell what the endgame to all this is gonna be. I feel like Modest is gonna be a problem to the bitter end and that could actually screw up plans to reunite 1D. Hopefully team Azoff has a plan to deal with them.

  • What they say: I'm fine.
  • What they actually mean: watching Matty literally fuck himself was a level of fucked up I wasn't ready to experience but I'm glad it happened and also low key traumatized also he's really pretty when he jacks off and he shouldn't be but goddamn it he is and all around I just feel sinful and this video got me too fucked up.
