Who is FYSE?
It’s been a while since I’ve been super active and I have some new followers. I figured it’d be a good time to kind of re-introduce myself for those that aren’t long time supporters.
You can call me FYSE, a title I was given back when this was more of an answers blog than anything else. I’m a 20-something genderqueer, queer, polyamorous individual. I originally started this blog because I was that friend everyone went to with questions about sex and I was getting more and more frustrated with the ignorance. It was a rough start that showed me that I still had a lot to learn. I started attending workshops, talking to other sex educators, reading textbooks, and getting training for the Our Whole Lives sexuality program for grades K-12. During that journey I also became a labor and postpartum doula, got married, and got joint custody of my little brother who I now raise and is now in first grade. This blog really took off, to the point that I was being recognized and referenced in other sexuality education settings. I now have almost 45,000 followers. I had to take a break for a lot of reasons but I’m back now and I want to get back to work. Hopefully you’ll be hearing from me again soon.
