whats happening this has 2 many notes

British Invasion | 5

Overview: In the middle of her freshman year of high school Riley Matthew’s mother gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to run her firms London Office. Much to everyone’s surprise her mother accepts the job, forcing Riley and her younger brother Auggie to leave behind everything they’ve ever known. Almost three years later the Matthew’s family moves back to New York and Riley comes to realize a lot has changed in the time she’s been gone.
Author’s Notes:  [As always the text in italics are flashbacks.] Riley’s world is slowly starting to fall to pieces the more her heart gets broken. In the words of Stefan Salvatore ‘how many more ways are there for you to rip my heart out?’ Well, plenty. The next chapter will revolve around whats been happening to Lucas since Riley left. As it turns out, she’s not the only one who’s changed.
Chapter Five: “Sound of my heart breaking.”
Previous Chapters: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Word Count: 4,374

“Just go – your new life is waiting for you.”

After abruptly ending their video call Maya sat there, staring at the empty screen before her. She couldn’t wrap her head around what had just happened. She hardly ever got into it with Riley, they were always so good at talking through their feelings but maybe that was the problem. She didn’t know how to talk through what she was feeling because she didn’t know how to describe what she was feeling in the first place. How do you tell your best friend that you hate that they’re happy without you? It didn’t make sense to her. She loved Riley and would do anything for her but the thought of Riley thriving without her, the thought of her living her life without her seemed unfair. They were supposed to take on the world together and Riley was getting a head start.

Her phone screen lights up, notifying her that she had a text.

Riles: I don’t want to fight with you, Peaches.

She types out a long message, apologizing, admitting to being in the wrong and just as she’s about to press ‘send’ she gets an Instagram notification telling her Riley had been tagged in a photo. Closing her iMessage she opens the app, curious to see who had tagged her and what the picture was of.

It was a picture of Allison and Riley, sitting on her bed eating take out and the caption read: Reunited with my best friend.

Feeling angry and forgotten, Maya did what Maya does best and she shuts down.

kent parson thoughts??

oh! yes! I actually do have thoughts for what I think is going to happen with Parse in the future, so without further ado, I bring to you [MARSHALL]:

(note: reading back over this after writing it, I can confirm that this post is a Mess. Like how many times can I just ramble in parenthesis? I don’t even know. Over 15 at least. including this one. my god. STILL HERE YOU GO:)

My Idea for What Could Happen with good ole Kenny P

  • Okay, so something that has been mentioned but not addressed in the comic is that it was once Rumored that Jack and Kent were involved. In Parse 2, Ransom and Holster talk about how close they were, how there were rumors, how there were rumors about the rumors, and then note that there is a “trove” of Jack Zimmermann/Kent Parson fanfiction. Obviously, this is a nod towards the bigger RPF hockey ships (like… sid/geno? I don’t actually read RPF but I think thats one…)
  • ANYWAY, enough is made of this friendship (with a question mark/astrix) that both get asked about how they are preparing for their game against each other and then they have a pretty intense first game
  • THE POINT IS: It is unclear just how far the rumors about Jack and Parson go. Is it the shippers who really believed they were together? Or was this a more widely whispered about rumor that some more “official” news sites mentioned? We really don’t know, but…
  • What we do know is that N has said Parse is the antagonist to Bitty’s plotline (of course I cannot find this exact quote right now but I am like 82% sure those are the exact words she uses… maybe. idk now im all turned around. did she not say this? why do i believe this to be true? oh well, for now:). Parse = Antagonist. (Note, antagonist does not necessarily mean despicable human being. Like, if you would like to see KP as that, I am not stopping you, I’m just pointing out that that is not the official definition of Antagonist and not really how I see him and my opinion has doubtless impacted my ideas.) The Antagonist has to fuck up the protagonist’s proverbial day. (Also, I’m not going to add this here but, dude, the development of the Antagonist as Totally Evil in Western Culture is really interesting! Ack, no side rants. Okay, moving on:)
  • SO, the more obvious route to go here is that Parse tries to break up Bitty and Jack (well, there was also the disastrous conversation at the Epikegster which some use to classify him as The Antagonist already but I am not going that far yet because, honestly, as shitty as that moment was for Jack, it did not really affect JackandBitty or the Zimbits ship. I’m assuming Year 4, we need some drama or threat of drama to the actual ship in order for KP to get Full Antagonist Status. He’s gotta fuck up Bitty’s day. Not just Jack’s).
  • However, in terms of: Parse tries to Openly Break Up Zimbits– I just don’t see the comic going there. First of all, Jack and Bitty seem like Stability Personified, so I can’t even picture how this would go: Parse: Zims, leave Bitty and be with me. Jack: No. Parse: damn. Alright. *goes to listen to sad music alone* — This is not very climactic, yet anything else would be out of character for Jack. (like Jack actually considering leaving Bitty or really anything Parse has to say would be bizzare bc even Senior-Year-Stressed Jack did not buy what Parse was selling and now Jack is Professional-Athlete-APlus-Boyfriend Jack so like… nah, don’t see it)
  • So basically, we need a way for Parse to be his full Antagonist Self while also being… not an Actual Comic Book Villain. And, just my opinion, I feel this cuts out “Purposefully Outing Jack Zimmermann.” It is just way over the line, doesn’t really fit with what we know of Parse (Shitty says that he was a humble guy/most of the Samwell crew likes him/he gives a very Media Answer when asked about Zimmermann), and also just doesn’t fit with the tone and world of Check Please, which I think we can all agree is fairly fluffy. Purposeful Malicious Outing just doesn’t fit.
  • BUT, there is a way that allows Kent to be the Antagonist, keeps him as a real person, and mayhap gives some wonderful shades of gray to the comic. And that is what I think (hope?) will happen and that is this:
  • Kent Parson Comes Out

Do you have any body type headcanons for the Nordics?

Yes I do, thanks for the ask! :)

Finland: 168 cm (5’6”). He’s slightly chubby, with a bit of fat especially around his arms and tights, and slightly large hips for his height. He still has toned, strong muscles, but they’re not very noticeable.

Sweden: 190 cm (6’2.8”). Estremely muscular and toned, with well-defined pectoral and abs. While clearly strong, his shoulders are average for his height, and so are his hips.

Denmark: 184 cm (6”). Pretty muscular, especially in his torso and arms. Broad-ish shoulders, average hips for his height. Extremely defined pectorals and biceps.

Norway: 175 cm (5’9”). Strong and toned but slight-boned, so he looks quite lean. He has well-defined muscles, but his ribs and hip bones are still barely visible.

Iceland: 170 cm (5’7”) Mostly average body. Lean (but not as thin-boned as his brother) but with only a little of muscles, not too defined. His ribs are slightly visible, but he still has a bit of fat around (only a little, thought, and not noticeable). Flat stomach.

>>> just some additional few words about the Lena Kopal issue

It seems that Lena Kopal is just a character created by somebody. After reading some posts of a friend that is reporting about the matter it is obvious that the pictures / avatars used by the faker belong to an american porno actress (LOL I cannot believe that a mind that arranges a fake like this uses the picture of a public person). It seems that they have already identified the actual person that is behind this shit.

I have just a few additional comments to make:

1) Obviously when I start following somebody or somebody starts following me I do not check whether the avatar showed belongs to a public person already existing or not, and of course I do not suspect that the person or character is a fake or not. The net (specially the social nets) are full of fakers; I am affraid that cases like this abound, as well as many other fakers (even real persons that here looks like angels while in their life are complete demonds and viceversa). Fortunately the honest people are an absolute majority, reason for which most of us stay here sharing whatever we want or we need to share… and reason for which (this is obvious as well) the fakers take advantage towards us, the honest and loyal ones: they take advantage of the other’s good faith.

2) This is what happened in the Lena case: that character approached many of us (both female and male, being some of them very good friends of mine).

3) What has happened with the famous “Lena” pic in my blog was already extensively explained by me in my other post about this issue ( http://victormalonso.tumblr.com/post/161857334290/isla-v%C3%ADctor-m-alonso-take-it-easy-i )
aside from the fact that the character is a complete fake, please take due note that I still, of course, do maintain my opinion in the respect to my way of being towards my friends, being them loyal and honest persons (Initially I cannot know whether one of my friends is a faker or not; of course when I notice or identify a fake character and / or the actual person behind, I stop inmediately my relationship with both the faker and the actual person behind); but in what respect to the essence of my post, have clear that it is my way of living, my way of respecting any human being, and my way of request respect towards me; and it is my right to defend my way of being against whatever, and if somebody tries to press me in a way I do consider inapropiate I have the right to block that person (same as any other participant in any social net)

4) I would like that the persons having the information about this mess, report about the issue to any official channel it correspondonds. I cannot get involved as much as I would like on this matter, because  I have so many obligations in my “real” life: after a very hard period, my work is increasing considerably which together with my private life force me to focus in what is really important for me.  Of course I am here, and if somebody needs my help, assistance of whatever on this respect, and I can give the support, count on me.

5) Now I do proceed to delete from my blog the “Lena Kopal” picture that she forwarded to me couple of days ago, image that shows the face of another person… :)

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Tips for boring lectures

So no matter how much you love your subject, there is always going to be that one lecture that you just can’t concentrate on. Perhaps the subject matter is dreadfully dry or the lecturer is so monotonous you just can’t help but zone out. It happens to everyone. So here’s what helps me stay awake.

1) Drink water. You have no idea how much this has helped me!

2) Chew gum. Not for everyone but this is a tip from a friend of mine.

3) Write your own notes. So many lecturers will give you powerpoint slides and some without even gaps to keep your interest. So for a few of my lectures this year I made my own notes during the lecture, still listening to what the lecturer was saying in the back of my mind. Perhaps that sounds complicated but it helped me.

4) Write down questions you can ask after the lecture. Some lecturers don’t like being interrupted (unless they’ve made an obvious mistake), but are quite happy to take questions afterwards. If you don’t want to ask, you can always go to their office hours or research the answers yourself.

5) Get your friends to give you a nudge if you start to take a nap! Sometimes with the hectic uni lifestyle it is unavoidable. I actually got really ill in the first semester of first year (my uni room severely provoked my dust allergy, that’s another story). I just could not stay awake in my Probability lectures. Fortunately my friend was really understanding and gave me a tap every time I looked like I was asleep. And then there was my other friend, who took photos. But let’s not go there…

6) Sit near the front. You definitely won’t be sleeping with a lecturer staring at you…

Whiskey Confessions Pt. 2

Summary: You and Dean have been best friends for years. But what happens when Dean has just one too many drinks?

A/N: Since Whiskey Confessions had gotten so many notes I decided to try my hand at a second part for it. I hope that it can keep the ball rolling because I think I might even be able to think of some good ideas for a part three. Italicized words are thoughts. Make sure to let me know if you want a part three for this!!!!!!!

Warnings: swearing on like three different occasions, angst???

Read Part 1 here!

There’s no way that Dean Winchester, the man of your dreams, could possibly be in love with you. Right?

You and Dean stood perfectly still, neither of you daring to break the stillness, to react to what Dean had just admitted. He may not have said anything to you directly, but he still said something that you thought could never be true. But, how could you be sure he was telling the truth?

At the moment, a million different thoughts and questions were running through your head. All more than likely showing on your face. You had never been really good at keeping your emotions in check. It was a miracle that the eldest Winchester hadn’t caught on to your feelings for him to begin with.

But now you couldn’t stop the questions from racing through your mind. He loves me? Wait, how much has he had to drink? Is he just in a drunken state? He has to be drunk. Dean Winchester would never love me as anything more than a sister. Not in a millions years. He would have made a move by now if that’s how he felt.

Hurt must have been evident on your face because at that moment Dean decided to break the stillness that had overcome everyone in the room. He stood abruptly, knocking over the bar stool in his rush, and started towards you. Before he could reach you, you turned and walked straight out of the door, desperate to put some distance between you and the man you have been pining after for so many years.

You were opening the door to your car and in the process of climbing into the driver’s seat before Dean had even made it out of the bar. You used the moment you had to yourself to pull yourself together. There’s no way Dean loves you. No way. There’s never been any lingering touches, no longing looks from him, hell he teased you about anything and everything he could find to tease you about. How could you have even let the mere idea of him loving you any more than he would love a sister even get in your head? You can’t let him see that it affected you, not even in the slightest.

By the time that Dean climbed into your passenger seat, you had made sure that you were prepared to hide any emotion. At least you hoped that you would be able to hide your emotions. You both just sat in silence, neither of you knowing what to say. So instead, you started the car and silently started to drive back towards Kansas, towards home.

Dean couldn’t keep his eyes focused on anything. He would look behind you, out his window, straight ahead, anywhere but directly at you. After half an hour of awkward silence you couldn’t take it anymore.

“Look, let’s just forget any of this ever happened. When we get back to the bunker we will just go back to our normal routine of innocent flirting and childish bantering. Sam doesn’t need to know you said anything . No one needs to know. It would be better for everyone if we just pretend that none of this ever happened,” you stated firmly.

Dean just looked at you as though he couldn’t believe what you had just said, but that look only lasted for a second before he finally found his voice again.

“But why Y/N? Why is that better? I love you, and yes that wasn’t the way that I had wanted you to find out but why do we have to pretend like it never happened? You’re acting as though you don’t believe anything that I have told you,” Dean had been saying before he trailed off, realizing that he had been right. You don’t believe a word he has said.

You gripped your steering wheel tightly until your knuckles started to turn white. He couldn’t possibly think that you would believe him while he was like this. He was drunk enough to the point where he couldn’t even drive himself back to the bunker, hell you doubted that he could even walk straight. Yet it seems as though he figured it out.

“How can you not believe me? What do I need to do to make you believe me because it’s obvious that you don’t.”

“You expect me to believe you? You are drunk and claiming that you are in love with me and you expect me to believe that? As far as I can tell you have never ever had an interest in me other than just being friends and now all of a sudden you come out and say ‘I love her’ to a bartender with me just so happening to over hear you and you think I’m going to believe it?” you replied sarcastically.

Dean just sat in shock and moved his head to look down at his lap. And when you looked over at him, it almost made you believe him. He was wearing the most heartbroken look on his face, but you couldn’t let that fool you. These were nothing but drunken words and drunken reactions, nothing to get your hopes up about.

The rest of the ride back to the bunker was spent with no more words being spoken, just the soft hum of music playing in the background. And as soon as the car was parked you were ready to bolt to your room and cry your eyes out until you fell asleep. But looking over at Dean you knew that your plan would have to wait a few more minutes because there was no way that he could walk on his own.

“Dean, come on it’s time to get you to bed,” you finally said.

“But Y/N, how can I sleep knowing that you don’t believe that I love you? I need to know how I can prove it,” Dean responded, his words starting to blur together from the alcohol and from fatigue.

You sighed, not very proud of what you were about to say.

“Well let’s get you to bed and then I will tell you what you can do to make me believe you,” you responded.

Dean seemed to like that idea because it was suddenly a lot easier to get him out of your car and into his bed. You had started to make your way out of his room when his voice made you stop at the door and turn his direction.

“Alright Y/N, what can I do to make you believe that I love you?” Dean asked.

You looked at him and sighed to yourself, wishing that this wasn’t tearing you apart.

“You can be sober when you say it Dean. Other than that there is nothing that you can do for me to believe you on this,” you replied with tears pooling in your eyes.

You caught a pained look on his face and what looked like tears rolling down his cheeks before you turned and walked out of his door to your bedroom, where you threw yourself on the bed and let out a heartbroken sob, wishing that Dean’s words were actually true.

She Runs-Part 1

Author: smijca-blog
Rating: Teen
Genre: Angst
Summary: What happens when the dust settles and Maya is left to herself to pick up the broken pieces! Set after Ski Lodge Part 2.

Author’s Note: This has been floating around in my head ever since watching Girl Meets Ski Lodge Part 2. It’s hard to get the voices of 15 and 16-year-olds down when you’re my age (35) but I’m hoping to get practice writing YA in preparation for a book I plan to write some day.
I hope I did them some justice. It’s part one of many more to come.
* * * * * * * * * * * * *
The first time that Maya’s alone with Lucas after their return from the ski lodge, she realizes that even though she doesn’t know much of anything she knows one thing for certain.

She hates the awkwardness.

“Hey, uh, Maya…” his voice trails off.

She can’t help but notice how he looks every which way except at her when before it was all she could do to keep from laughing at the dopey, goofy looks he’d send her way.

“What’s up, Huckle—, uh, you.”

You. That’s what it’s come to. She can’t even say his name now and, even though she’d never thought to say it at all before, it still stings.

“Gotta go, I’ve got art class next and, uh, you know I can’t miss that thing that’s my, uh, thing.”

Maya sprints in the opposite direction, not caring that she’s going the wrong way.

They pretty much avoid each other or, rather, avoid direct one on one interactions after that and it’s not long before the others start to notice.

Zay bluntly asks one day how long they expect to ignore the pink elephant in the room and Farkle wonders aloud how resolving the triangle didn’t really seem to solve anything at all but they both drop the subject when she threatens to pour smoothies over each their heads.

Smackle, surprisingly, says nothing but does lean in to give Maya one of her patented akward hugs.

It’s stupid, totally stupid because she’s playing the long game with Uncle Boing and that’s something to look forward to and that’s what she’s always wanted, of course it is.

But then she wonders why it doesn’t seem to be enough and why it doesn’t quite feel as right or as good as when she used to spend her nights dreaming up ways to annoy the hell outta Ranger Rick-Howdy Doody-Huckleberry Friar the next day.

So she goes back to thinking that hope is for suckers because, after all, who’s to say that the long game won’t turn into her picking up shattered pieces again after all’s said and done?

Plus, who did she think she was, anyway, thinking that she could possibly grow and change?

The secret of life. People change people. Except the ones that need to stay the same to keep the balance.

P.S. Good guy gets good girl. Bad girl gets promises she can’t touch.

Matthews had missed explaining that last part.

The jerk.

When it finally hits her that the choice made, the one that she pushed him to make, so that no one got hurt was the very reason that she now hurts the most she starts feeling the pangs of sadness turn to full blown pain.

And she wonders how it’s possible that, if she’s supposedly that Maya, the one that Riles had actually dared to think had taken money from her mother’s register and also suspected had pulled the fire alarm that time Matthews was going on and on about volcanoes exploding, she doesn’t just go all destructive psycho on everyone.

But she doesn’t.

Instead, she loses herself in the surge of creativity that grabs a hold of her, and paints to the point of exhaustion, so much so that her mother starts worrying and asking mom questions like do you need to talkand saying things like maybe you should take a break from painting, baby girl.

She doesn’t have the heart to tell her mother that she’s doing the most to avoid sleep because with sleep come dreams about being left behind even as she’s trying to find her way back.

The pieces that she creates are chaotic, confusing and perplexing, according to her art teacher.

“While these works are full of passion and spark, they also suggest intense longing and despair.”

She doesn’t bother to tell him that he’s stating the obvious and she ignores the questioning look that Riley sends her way.

Riley, however, doesn’t drop it, because that’s who she is, and she tries to get her to open up one day by ordering her to sit at the magical, inspirational Bay Window of theirs.

“Maya, you haven’t been yourself since we got back from the trip to the ski lodge, what’s going on?”

Where in the past Maya might have felt touched by her concern she’s now annoyed bordering on full blown angry.

“What do you mean, Peaches? Do I need to go out and rob a bank to convince you I’m back in Mayatown and everything’s hunky dory?”

She immediately regrets the words and the edge in her tone when she sees Riley’s eyes widen followed by a pained expression on her face.

“Maya, you know that’s not what this is about. You’re hurting. I’ve tried to give you space and time to talk to me about it but if I didn’t know better, I’d think you’d been avoiding me.”

While it’s true that she’s started to slack when it comes to answering Riley’s calls and texts she’s also made sure to give her excuses about being preoccupied with helping her mom plan the upcoming wedding. She’d hoped that, if anything, these explanations might be enough to keep Riley from asking too many questions.

She should have known better.

“Yeah, well, you’re wrong, Riles. I’ve just been really busy, you know, creating because I am, after all, an artiste, I mean, I might not be good for anything else but—“

Her words are cut short as Riley places one hand over her mouth while using the other to turn her face so that she’s looking straight into her eyes.

“Maya. STOP. I’m not stupid, you know. A step behind, usually, yes. Distracted half the time, definitely. But NEVER oblivious. Especially not when it comes to you. To us.”

This is only one of the many things that she loves about Riley and it’s all that she can do to keep her voice from wavering.

“I’m just…I’m tired, Riles.”

Riley stares at her, her eyes searching, and she doesn’t have to say a word for Maya to know that she’s processing it all, figuring everything out and simultaneously wondering how to fix it.

“Oh, Maya… you took the fall, didn’t you? We were all so proud of ourselves that we’d figured it out so no one got hurt and it didn’t work, did it?”

Even as Maya feels the trickle of tears begin to roll down her cheeks, Riley simply moves close and opens her arms wide to embrace her.
* * * * * * * * * * *
“Maya, are we going to talk about what happened last night or are you just going to keep pretending?”

Pretending. That’s been the story of her life ever since her father had kissed her goodnight so long ago, back when she’d been a small girl full to the brim with love and hope, promising to make her waffles the next morning. When her mother was forced to break the news to her after that Daddy had to go away, baby girl, but he still loves you so very much, she’d had to pretend that she wasn’t noticing that those words didn’t match his actions, that she could see that her mother’s smile wasn’t reaching her eyes.

She’d just responded with a forced smile of her own, asking her mother if she could, pretty please, make her some waffles.

She would have laughed if the “last night” Riley was referring to hadn’t been one of her lowest moments yet.

Maya feels a surge of shame and embarrassment as images of her looking small, weak, her head burrowed in Riley’s shoulder as she’s sobbing uncontrollably, flash through her mind. She continues to rummage in her locker before finally finding her beloved sketch pad and small container of art supplies.

“You mean when I went all Scarlett O’Hara on you with the weeping and near rending of garments? Yeah, that wasn’t one of my finest moments, Peaches so let’s not.”

The only reason she knows anything about Gone with the Wind or the word rending is because two summers ago, Riley had insisted on reading the book aloud to her, even acting out most of the dramatic scenes, which meant pretty much the whole thing.

Maya had complained and tried to sneak out constantly because that’s who she was expected to be but she’d never let on that she had secretly enjoyed every minute of it.

“Whoa. Maya, you were crying?“

Her back stiffens and she automatically wraps her arms around herself at the sound of that voice.

“Peaches, we can’t keep avoiding this. I was really worried last night. I’ve never seen you that, that—“

Maya turns her back to Riley, almost running right into Lucas, who’s been standing close, too close, if you ask her, beside her locker.

She looks down, ignoring him, concentrating her full attention on Riley.

“What, Riles? Lame? Weak? Pathetic?”

Even as she struggles to keep the tears at bay, Maya can’t help but notice the irony of how she’s literally standing between her best friend and prince charming. In the middle.

Always in the middle.

"Maya, you’re not—.”

Maya grits her teeth and, without thinking, closes the space between them and grabs a hold of his shirt and pulls him down so that they’re almost at eye level.

“Don’t you dare tell me who I’m not. You don’t know a thing about me, Lucas. You don’t know what I’ve been through or what I’m going through and you damn well have no idea what’s in here.

As she says this last part, she grabs a hold of his hand and places it where her heart is, at this point, beating rapidly in her chest.

Horrified, Maya immediately jumps back and hears a whimper from Riley as she’s accidentally bumped backwards.

“I, I , gotta go.”

Maya Penelope Hart’s instincts kick in and she pushes past Riley and does the thing that, by now, has become a habit for her when it comes to dealing with him, with what’s happening right in front of her.

She runs.

Ohhh my God I just watched the Tweek x Craig episode and I am shaking from how ecstatic I am. My body cannot CONTAIN ALL THE GOOD FROM THIS EPISODE. I’m just gonna list all the ways the writers went above and beyond for this

1. Showing fanartists in a POSITIVE light. It still had their trademark backhanded humor to it, but so many shows will openly humiliate/degrade their fans. Especially fanartists that draw non-canon gay ships.

2. Showing that coming to terms with being gay is a difficult process, even when (almost) everyone around you is openly supportive.

5. Craig’s dad’s development in coming to terms with his son being gay.

6. The writers saw what a majority of their fans wanted to happen and thought HEY. LET’S DO IT BRAH. LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN. AND THEY DID IT. THEY ACTUALLY DID IT. So many shows need to take fuckin’ note man. Seriously.

I’m really passionate about this pairing because I’ve watched this show since I was a kid and I’ve shipped it from the very beginning man. I remember staying up all night in middle school because I was reading creek fanfiction and now it’s REAL??? UNBELIEVABLE!!

I never do posts like this but I’m legitimately in tears over this. My childhood otp….canon….creek got me through some hard times man….(style did too, creek was always my shit)

AUTHOR tomcuddlesfic

FIC SUMMARY: Twenty four year old Amelia Hart has never had a boyfriend before. Not wanting to step outside of her comfort zone, she rarely starts conversations with the opposite sex and makes little to no effort in correcting her single status. However, what she did not plan was meeting a man who manages to steal her breath away at every look. A man who does not stop until he gets what he wants. And the one thing he only wants right now just so happens to be her.

Author’s notes: So by the number of votes, I decided to write a new chapter to TDH and it makes sense considering it’s been a week since it has been last updated. As many of you know, my limit is 2000-2300 words so i’m sorry to disappoint many of you but sexy times do not happen yet. I promise it’ll happen in the next chapter. Thank you for reading and the support! I would love to hear what you think.

Michael Jacobs on Shawn & Angela’s fates.

MJ: The easiest thing for me to do would be to satisfy an audience and say “Sure it happened. Pixie dust over everything.” It didn’t happen, because that’s not what’s real. Are they [Shawn & Angela] happy? Remains to be seen. Is what becomes of them both satisfying? I believe so because it’s real. It’s what will happen to Riley and Lucas, it’s what will happen in a succession of friendship in this world and it’s why the show’s worth watching.”

Michael Jacobs on the two types of relationships in the BMW/GMW universe (Shawngela & Corpanga):

MJ: But what’s great about GM Hurricane, is that one thing that happens in life, and I would love the entire audience to know this: There’s two types of relationships. The long runner—the staining, influential relationship where you marry somebody and dedicate what you hope will be the rest of your life. Cory and Topanga. And they did it young. It’s rare. We can’t have everybody that meets in high school have that relationship.
Interviewer: That’s why I am so concerned for the fate of Lucas.
MJ: I’ll get to that. But here’s the important thing [about GM Hurricane]. There’s another relationship. What was the relationship that set you up to know what love was? And for me, Cory and Topanga, they got there. But Shawn and Angela, they are able to know what love is because of knowing each other.

I saw a post recently that basically insinuated that everything the writers have said about the show goes against Lucaya/supports Rilucas and it gave me pause, because how can anyone think that’s the case when quotes like the above exist, when the quote that basically dismisses the idea that Lucas & Riley will end up married exists, when there’s all of these quotes from Michael Jacobs out there that are actually quite damning for rilucas? Are we reading the same quotes?

Like I’ve said before though, perception is a multifaceted and fascinating thing, so to each his own.

Anyways, I’ve always found the 2 quotes above particularly interesting, but they’re especially so when you note the connection between them, as well as certain things that happen in season 3.

In the BMW/GMW universe, Jacobs says that there are two key types of relationships.

  1. The Cory & Topanga or, as Jacobs calls it, “the long runner”. This is the long lasting relationship, where you plan on spending your life together. To clarify, this doesn’t mean a relationship is exactly like Cory & Topanga’s. Jacobs has emphasized many times that there is only ONE Cory & Topanga. What this means is simply that, like Cory & Topanga, this is the legit relationship that lasts.
  2. Then there’s the relationship that “makes you ready for something else”. It’s the relationship that sets you up to know what love is, so that when you meet the person you’re actually supposed to be with for your own long runner, you’ll be ready. It’s important and the fact that it doesn’t last the rest of your life doesn’t take away from it’s value. It matters. It’s just different than the long runner. This was Shawn & Angela.

And isn’t it ironic that when Jacobs speaks of what will become of both Shawn & Angela (Presumably reaching a place where they are both happy with other people, aka their long runners…), the relationship that sets them up for their actual long runners with other people, he says that it’s what will happen to Riley & Lucas, as well. It’s especially ironic when you acknowledge the fact that Jacobs has always been hesitant to talk about Riley and Lucas in relation to Cory & Topanga, but he has no problem acknowledging a potential similarity in what becomes of Rilucas when he speaks of Shawn & Angela’s story.

Also, anyone else peep the use of the word “friendship” when he talks about Riley & Lucas’ relationship? It’s an interesting choice of words. Certainly, you want your significant other to be your friend, arguably your best friend, but it’s curious that, in this context, Jacobs refers to their story as one of friendship, as opposed to a “relationship”. I think friendship and the importance of it is going to be one of the major lessons to come out of this triangle, but I don’t think it’s going to manifest itself in the way that quite a few fans seem to think.

(PS: I literally JUST noticed the similar color palate in Riley & Angela’s GM Hurricane outfits. Just some curious visual food for thought…)

(PPS: Another interesting parallel. Jacobs says that it would have been easy to sprinkle pixie dust over everything and just make it (Shawngela) happen, but that didn’t, because it wasn’t real. And then goes onto say that what happens to them WILL be real and this “real” thing will also happen to Lucas & Riley as well. Make of that what you’d like…)
