Taylor Swift on the media | January 2016 | Grammy Museum

“it got pretty out of control there for a couple of years. Every article was like ‘taylor swift standing next to some guy– watch out guy!’. Every single article had these descriptions of my personality that were very different from my actual personality. My first reaction was ‘man that’s a bummer, this isn’t fun for me’. But my second reaction ended up being ‘hey, that’s actually an interesting character they’re writing about… like she jets sets around the world, collecting men and she can get any of them but she’s so clingy that they leave and then she cries in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls’”. dunkirk is the kind of film you sit on after you see it. at first you’re like, yeah that was a good film. it was a different kind of war movie. then you leave the theater and you start thinking about it, all your favorite moments, the ones that made you bite your nails off. you think about the message and what christopher nolan is really trying to get across with the way he directed it. and then you realize that it’s actually sort of spectacular. because you were in the film. you weren’t just hearing a bunch of dialogue, knowing what someone was going to do next. you were basically living it. between the music and the acting, you were feeling what they were feeling. long story short, if you were unsure of dunkirk at first: sit on it. i guarantee you’ll see the beauty in it.

AU where all the sides are actually ghosts that haunt Thomas. (Warning, death talk from here)

Logan, car crash. Drunk off his butt and raging quite madly, he smashed into someone else.

Roman, poison. Specifically rat poison.

Virgil, unknown. He refuses to tell.

And Patton, heartbreak. Years of things going horribly and everyone he loved leaving him no matter how nice he was eventually took its toll and made his heart give out.

Now they all try to teach Thomas lessons and keep him safe, all while doing silly ghost things too. They also only ever let Thomas see them (And perceive them the way they want him to see them), so they scare his friends silly when something falls over or the lights flicker.

(If anyone wants to add to this or has any better ideas, be my guest!)

And all your little lame-ass friends are gonna be Kibbles ‘n Bits. Think about that when your boyfriend’s cuttin’ into you.

Thor Ragnarok Post Credit Scene [Deleted]

[lights up on the empty field overlooking the sea in which Odín passed and Hela arrived. We close up on the remains of Mjolnir glimmering in the light of the setting sun. The sound of a van pulling up and idling for a second before turning off can be heard. Car doors open and voices chatter.]

Jane: (from offscreen) My device is showing the highest concentration of the foreign energy right…over there!

[a pair of petite shoes, obviously Janes, enter the frame right next to the remains]

Darcy: (from offscreen) Jane?

Jane: Oh my- What is…

[her hand enters the frame to touch Mjolnir. Right as her fingers make contact the remains begin to glow, vibrate and levitate. We pan out behind Jane, still being denied the sight of her face, as the remains levitate and continue to glow.]

Darcy: Jane!

[Darcy rushes into the frame as the sky grows dark, but stops short. It begins to thunder and the wind picks up. Jane’s hair (which she has highlighted blonde) blows around her. Jane begins to back away but still holds out her dominant hand in a gesture of defense. The pieces begin to reform but not before the handle places itself in Jane’s palm. We begin to pan around Jane, now beginning to be able to see her face. She holds the now re-formed Mjolnir and lightning arcs between the clouds and the hammer, which once again bears the seal of Odín. ]

Odín: (godly whispers which overlap.) Whosover holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.

[we now finally focus in on Jane’s face. Her emotions read slight fear, but in the black of her dilated pupils we see forks of white lightning. Screen goes black.]

anonymous asked:

does tony think of peter as a son?

probably not consciously. he treats him kind of like a son sometimes, but that’s not very unusual for tony. tony has to be watched closely or he adopts stray genius children everywhere he goes.

mostly it’s pretty long distance–he emails and videocalls them, sets up scholarships, funds research, talks them through school problems, introduces them to employers… i know for a fact that at least half of the starkphone beta testers are sleep-deprived students across the country who tony has run into at some convention or facility tour and decided to keep. some of them come to work at Stark Industries eventually, but a fair number go into other fields.

he has a strange ability to pinpoint exactly which kid in any given cluster is an untapped well of talent looking for mentoring. we have a number of bets running on if he’s doing it consciously or not.

either way, he does it a lot.

he’s not very cuddly or touchy-feely with them, and he gets hilariously defensive if you poke him about it, but he’s actually a really good mentor, and he does really care. i mean, sometimes he uses the ‘do the exact opposite of what i would do’ method of role modelling, but…
