There are things I find pointless, meaningless, unnecessary in fandoms and let the synonyms continue please. I’m someone who’s relatively new to kpop. Like more than a year but still. I don’t know how many of these are relatable but well.

1. Hating on girl groups.

Like why? I’ve heard so much of crap about girl groups having too easy choreo or shit concepts or this and that. I personally don’t listen to girl group songs much. I just listen to whatever I find suiting my type of music so if I find their song nice, I listen to it and that’s that. They work hard too. Their concepts aren’t between the extremities of cute and sexy. There’s more to it. They’re artists too. If you can love your faves, you can respect other’s faves too.

2. Fanwars. Even within the fandom.

THIS IS WHAT THEY DO. But then..

Continuing from the last point, hype up your faves, like scream how much you love them. But why is that accompanied by “My faves did this, when will yours ever” or “Your faves don’t stand a chance they’re talentless” yada yada yada. Why? The point is to enjoy the music. And love your artists. Where does the part of insulting others come in? I have literally seen fans tweeting shit like “I wish this person dies in a plane crash”. Like??????? Immature fans? I guess so. But how Immature as a person can you get?

Shipping is for fun. I don’t ship as such. I just find things cute. But. Overdoing shipping is something that’s way too common and there’s literally stupidity over which ship is better. Like congratulations. You just fighting over who knows what the fuck?

3. Whitewashing and beauty standards.

Don’t even get me started. I understand the obsession with fair skin but I don’t understand it. Meaning, I’ve seen the craze, but where’s the logic? Idols look like they came out from a sack of caster sugar or worse, white paint. Like snow is literally THAT white. I try fanart at times. If I pick a picture, I can’t get the tone to match the picture because It’s. Literally. White. Humans aren’t snow. And Melanin is beautiful. Scars and acne and pimple marks just means they’re human. Simple. Celestial Boy literally shut down because it released non whitewashed pictures. Pardon my language but fuck beauty standards. I’m saying this even if I know it matters to them but that doesn’t mean I’ll accept it.

4. The need to show skin and objectification.

Abs. Muscles. Bare skin. I don’t understand. If they’re uncomfortable doing it, why would any fan ask for more? Recent events of the Aladin fansign for instance. Why?? Unbutton?? Like?? I’m sorry if you’re really deprived of seeing skin, but is blatantly asking to do something like that correct in any sense? We don’t love idols for just their body correct me if I’m wrong. We love them for the people they are as a whole? Right?? Personality and their comfort comes first?? It’s primary??

And sexualising and objectifying needs to stop. Please. I won’t elaborate. The implication is pretty clear I think.

5. Losing weight and overwork.

I’ve talked about this before too. Idols starve themselves. Or may even diet (which also means following restrictions which doesn’t always mean its bad). But I’ve seen idols faint because of a) less food and b) too heavily packed schedules. They’re human. I don’t know what else to say. Fame comes for a price doesn’t seem like a beautiful explanation to me. It’s their work they love and I’m not one to tell them what to do. But yeah I get pissed off.

6. Solo stans + Idols decide what they do.

Please. How many times. Has this been brought up. Like. I’m tired now. You aren’t a part of the fandom if you like only one member. Gtfo.

Also. If they want to get piercings, tattoos or make friends. What’s the problem? If they do something within their private space it’s their business. They decide who they hang out with, or date for that matter. As long as it’s not obviously self harming in any way (e.g. Toxic relationships)

7. Standards for being a fan.

If you don’t buy their stuff you’re still a fan if you don’t know everything about them you’re still a fan if you don’t watch all variety shows they do or if you fail at some random YouTube video saying “Only real xyz fans can answer this” YOU’RE STILL A FAN. There are no conditions to be a fan. Just be respectful. Don’t spread hate. Enjoy their music have fun and do whatever you can to contribute within your comfort zone. And don’t be a koreaboo.

There’s possibly more points to add to this. Again, these are all my personal opinions. But hey. There’s always a good number of people who use common sense and well there are a lot of positives in fandoms too. Its family like, you make friends, teamwork and of course great music. Criticism is easy but the brighter side deserves to be seen too.

What you see before you is a list that I hope will be read as an intervention. Nearly 50 women who play a role in NPR compiled and voted on this list. It features albums by artists who identify as female — including some by mixed-gender bands, like Fleetwood Mac and X, that, in our view, relied on women’s creativity for their spark. These albums were released between 1964, the year The Beatles invaded America and set in motion what can be called the “classic album era,” and 2016, when Beyoncé arguably ushered in a new period with her “visual album” Lemonade. The point is to offer a view of popular music history with women’s work at the center. The list does not represent an “alternate history.” It stands for music history, touching upon every significant trend, social issue, set of sonic innovations, and new avenue for self-expression that popular music has intersected in the past fifty years.

“High School Party” Finn Wolfhard

Plot - There is a party thrown for famous kids

Pairing - Finn Wolfhard x Reader

-

Its days like this when I don’t believe the career path I took. Its super weird but it also gives me the chance to have that whole ‘high school party’ experience… except without the alcohol. Apparently a few years back (like zack and cody days) someone decided that when a bunch of famous kids are in LA for award shows and stuff like that they go around and share an address and date around and throw a party.

Grace VanderWaal texted me the address a few days ago, and tonight was the party. Grace and I met a while ago because we are both singers and we are both 13. A majority of people there are going to be actors, but there are a few singers and bigger youtubers. We’re all between 12-17, the normal kid ages. Its at this old pool, kind of like the one from Pitch Perfect. It’s quite secluded. It was exciting. A good chance to meet kids my age and who are in the industry.

It was around 6:30 when Grace and I went. Her sister drove us, and she could’ve gone too but she didn’t want to. It was a big open space with a huge empty pool in the middle. There was some music playing, and a few tables with drinks and snacks on it. Some people were jamming in the pool, some were sat in the bleachers, and some were lining the pool. One thing was for sure, there were alot of people. I looked around and notices some people like Why Don’t We; witch made me laugh; and people like Levi Miller; witch made me nervous. “I’m going to go get a drink and mingle.” I told Grace, leaving her side.

I walked up to the punch and poured myself a cup. “There’s no alcohol in this is there?” A female voice asked. “I don’t think so.” I answered looking to my left. Sadie Sink was pouring herself a cup. “Nope.” She smiled, taking a sip. “Hey, you’re the singer that just got signed to Fueled By Ramen right?” She asked me. “Y/N, right? I’m Sadie.” She smiled, holding her hand out. “Yeah, from Stranger Things.” I commented, shaking her hand. “Exactly, who’d you come with?” She asked me. “Um, Grace VanderWaal.” I answered, taking a sip of my drink. “Ohhhh, right you two are friends. So tell me, since you got signed have you met anyone cool who are also signed to your label?” She asked me walking away from the table. “Yeah, I met Ed Sheeran and Fall Out Boy.” I smiled. “Is it as annoying as it sounds to work with 4 teenage boys?” I asked, laughing a bit. “Sometimes yeah, but all of the guys are great, but Millie had to work with them for a whole year without another girl.” She answered, laughing. We small talked for a bit until she left to find someone I didn’t know.

I sat on the edge of the pool near what used to be the shallow end. I was a good length away from Jacob Sartorius which was hard because all I wanted to do was make a joke about him, but i’m not a mean person.

“You bored?” Jaeden Lieberher asked, sitting next to me. “That and I’m not the best socially.” I answered, making him smile. “Well, first of all, I love your single, and second of all, it’s hard to socialize when you’re sat on the edge of the pool.” He joked back. “C’mon, I’ll introduce you to some people.” He added, jumping into the pool and holding his hand out for me to take. I smiled, taking his hand and jumping into the pool with him.

“I don’t know if you know any of these people but That one is Jack and the other is Millie.” Jaeden told me, making us join their circle. “Hey, I like your music.” Jack complimented, talking fastly and chewing gum. “Oh my gosh! You’re Y/N Y/L/N! Me and Noah listen to your covers on youtube all the time!” Millie shrieked, pulling me into a hug, almost making me spill my drink. “Thanks, I love your guys’s work too.” I told them both. “You need my number! We could have a jam session!” Millie exclaimed, taking out her phone. We exchanged numbers and all four of us talked for a bit.

After a few minutes Jaeden and I continued on, and found more people to talk to. He kept one hand on the small of my back and the other holding his drink.  “I know this one is Chosen, but you? Hi I’m Jaeden.” Jaeden smiled at who I knew was Rowan Blanchard. “I’m Y/N.” I smiled at Chosen, shaking his hand. “I love you’re music.” Rowan commented, shaking my hand. We talked for a bit, Jaeden’s hand still on my back.

“Hey! Guys!” Someone cheered, going between Chosen and Jaeden. “Finn! Whats up buddy?” Jaeden greeted. “Well, I was looking for Caleb but then I noticed you two talking with one of my favorite artists and I just had to say hi.” He answered, moving to stand next to me. “Hi, I’m Finn, and I already know you are Y/N, because surprisingly, famous people fangirl too.” He greeted me, swaying to the music. I giggled at his childish actions and shook his hand. “Anyone need another drink?” He asked the group. “I do actually.” I answered. “Great, want to come with me?” He asked. I nodded and left the group.

“So, I know you are kind of new to the scene, but how are you enjoying it?” Finn asked me. “Well, I wasn’t expecting this to be an actual thing.” I laughed. “Neither did I when we went last year.” He laughed, pouring himself another drink. “But let me tell you, I wasn’t expecting to meet such a pretty girl tonight.” He smiled, taking a sip of his freshly poured drink. “Thanks.” I blushed, drinking out of my own cup. “Want to sit somewhere?” He asked me. I looked around at a place we could sit. I pointed to a far corner of some bleachers where no one was. “How about there?” I asked, pointing. “Yeah sure.” He smiled, taking my hand and making his way over there.

“Hm, a lot more quiet up here than I thought.” Finn commented, sitting on the concrete step. “Yeah.” I mumbled, becoming more nervous. “So, I hear you and your band are working on an EP?” I said, looking over to him. “Calpurnia, yeah, maybe someday we will collab on something.” Finn winked at me. “Why not now? I’ve been writing a duet, but have no one to sing it with.” I asked. “Of course we’d have to talk to our managers but I think it could happen.” I smiled. “That sounds amazing, what’s the duet about?” He asked me. “Um, it’s about tough love. Being in the industry can take a toll on stuff like that. If I were to date someone famous, one if us would get hate, and if I were to date someone not famous; like I was a few months ago; it would have to be long distance and that never works.” I explained. “Short story long, it’s about when me and my ex broke up, who wasn’t even a big loss on my part.” I added. “Ooo shade.” Finn laughed. “Do you have any lyrics with you?” He asked me. I nodded, taking out my phone. “I usually write on my phone.” I laughed, pulling up the notes app and opening the song.

“This is really good.” Finn mumbled, reading the lyrics. “Is it a slow song?” He asked me. “How’d you know?!” I exclaimed. “Want to sing some? What’s the tune?” He asked. I explained how I wanted it to sound. It was on the piano so I used garage band to show him. I played the chorus, and record it so I could show my manager later on. We sang a bit of the chorus, sounding quite nice. “This needs to happen!” Finn exclaimed, as we finished singing.

It was around 9 and Finn and I were still talking. A few people came and sat with us for a while, like Noah Schnapp and Sophia Lillis, but they all left sooner or later. “So, how’d you end up walking around with Jaeden?” Finn asked me. “I was sitting on the edge of the pool and no one was with me so he sat with me and introduced me to some people.” I answered. “Was it flirty?” Finn asked, making me almost choke on my drink. “Excuse me?” I asked, just making sure I heard him correctly. “Were you two flirting?” He asked again. Yup, I heard him correctly. “Not really, why were you asking?” I answered, still insanely confused. “Because I wouldn’t want him to get mad at me when I do this.” He told me, leaning in and kissing my lips. I put my hand on his cheek, prolonging the kiss.

“I definitely wasn’t mad at that.” I giggled, pulling away. “Yeah.” Finn mumbled, blushing a bit.

Just wanted to say I really admire that someone as populair as you actually stands up for the artists that drew those silhouettes. That's really cool especially considering how much hate you'll get for it.

Thank you! I’m so tired of people like that thinking they can do whatever they want with someone’s work because “LOL WELL I’M NOT BREAKING ANY LAWS LOL”. As I stated in another ask, there’s a big difference between something being legally wrong and something being socially unacceptable.
People like that think as long as what they’re doing isn’t considered illegal enough they can step on however many toes they want. If you don’t want any respect for yourself, then yeah sure go for it. If you want the respect of peers and creators around you though, don’t be a dick and use shit that doesn’t belong to you unless you have permission. It’s not rocket science and I don’t get how it’s being defended.

Painting The Sky

Genre: Fluff with a little angst

The first time you had seen him was at an art museum late in the afternoon. He had been standing there, staring at one painting for the past five minutes. Your curiosity had gotten the better of you and you found yourself moving to stand next to him, keeping a safe distance between the two of you. You looked at the painting that had caught his attention, trying to see what he saw. It was a famous painting, one that everyone knew. The Starry Night painted by the famous Vincent Van Gogh. You had never really been into art. The only reason you were at this museum was because your mom forced you to come, saying that you needed to get out of your house. You had wandered away from her long ago, frustrated that she took forever in museums. And now here you were, staring at a painting just because a stranger was staring at it too. Thinking of the stranger, you turned your head slightly to look at him. He was gone. Your body tensed as you cast your eyes around for the mysterious man. You didn’t know why but you were interested in why he was staring at the painting for so long.

Ruin The Friendship (part II)

Title: Ruin The Friendship (mini-series) Part 2

Word-Count: 5k

Pairing: Jay Park/ Reader (kinda)

Summary: Best friends to lovers. Inspired by Ruin The Friendship - Demi Lovato.

Genre: Smutty Fluff

Part 1 Part 3

He leaves with a kiss in the morning. I’ve been hyper-aware of his body presence through the night, clutching his body against mine. At some point between two am and three, I’d pulled off my T-shirt and the underwear he’d taken the time to get. We’d made love in slow, lazy, sleepy pulls. Silently, he touched my body like he’d been born to do so. His mouth had moved against my skin so tenderly that there was no mistaking what it meant. Love is easy to fall into. You fall in love at least a hundred times a day; with the sky, the moon, the feel of somebody’s hands touching your body. I think Jay fell in love with my skin. Even as he pulls away, his fingers press against the side of my neck, drawing me closer to his mouth. Light streams in through the peek behind the curtain that I never bothered to close last night. I groan as he stands upright, pulling his boxers and sweats back into place. I watch him move around my room, picking up my discarded clothes. I can only imagine what his day entails with so many artists depending on him. As much as I wish he’d stay in bed kissing me dumb, it’s highly unlikely. Finally, when he’s done cleaning up our late night mess, he stands beside my bed, hovering over me once again. “I don’t want to go,” he whispers. His face falls into my neck when I wrap my arms around him. The thick duvet between us is the only thing keeping my bare chest from touching his. I run my fingers over the wings that cover the lower back of his scalp. My nails scratch against each line slowly. “I don’t want you to go,” I say around a yawn. “I’ll try my best to stop by tonight. I have a flight to New York tomorrow morning,” He grabs my bottom lip, pushed out in a pout, between his teeth before running his tongue against mine.

prismghostpersonal  asked:

Hi there, I love your work! Your color choices are really consistently great, and your details have a lot of character! Where do/did you study art and do you have an advice for an artist fresh out of college? Hope you have a great day dude!

Hello. Thanks a lot for the kind words, I appreciate them!

As for study, I briefly studied industrial design and then switched to studying graphic design at a local university in my hometown. To be quite honest I learnt close to nothing when it comes to art in either of them. For this reason I’m not even sure if I can give you proper advice, but if it helps at all, here’s what I learnt:

• Start working in art or something as close as you can get to art asap, preferably while you’re still studying, BUT…

• Have a way of making money on the side, and save as much of that money as you can. Learn to do your taxes, learn how to buy good, healthy, cheap food, learn to spend money only when absolutely necessary. Get friends who will understand that you can’t go partying/drinking/dining every weekend with them because you have to work and/or save your money. Why is saving money so important? Because you have to maintain the tools of your trade. You run out of paint, brush tips get shaggy, computers and tablets get old and obsolete over time. If your computer suddenly blue screens because you downloaded the wrong torrent and your hard drive gets fucked, now you can’t work. This is very fucking important, you have to have a plan B. If that plan B is flipping burgers at McDonald’s part time, so be it. Blue collar work is not rock bottom, undignified or a reason to be ashamed of yourself. Sometimes you have to bite that bullet to be able to work on art and make ends meet. I worked everything from a snack bar minion to an oil furnace construction worker and honestly it made me a better person. THAT SAID…

• Learn to deal with as much stress as you can. If you’re from the US and fresh out of college chances are you are in debt since I hear college up there is hilariously expensive. Debts are stressful. So is trying to find a job. So is getting an apartment if you don’t live with your parents. And putting food on the table. Find a way to deal with that amount of stress. Go out for runs, lift weights, go to church, scream at your pillow, fuck like a rabbit, I don’t care, just do what you have to do to relieve stress or you, my friend, are going to break like a twig. If none of this applies to you well, I guess you’re rich and this is one less thing to worry about. You still have to work super hard though, so don’t drop your guard one bit, and on the subject of having it better than other people…

• Drop your ego. Seriously, do it. Contrary to whatever your parents/professors may have told you, you are not special. You are not “destined for great things”, you are not unique or different from hundreds, thousands of other art college kids who just like you, are out and looking to make it big. You don’t get to be any of those things. Not yet, at least. I don’t care what your race, your gender, your political views, your parents or your economic background are. Only those who are more creative, who work harder and more intelligently that everyone else around them get to be successful, influential artists. Before you start complaining about Instagram’s algorithm being a dick because it happens to be owned by the psychopaths running Facebook, first examine your own work. Me and some of my close artist friends constantly talk about how we’ll hear people complaining about lack of exposure in social media and then we visit their profiles and we’ll be lucky if we even find an instagram profile where at least 80% of the content is art. Even more lucky if said art is good enough to sell. You know who gets to complain about instagram? James Jean. Are you James Jean? Yeah, me neither actually, not even close. So we have to keep working hard and making connections and posting constantly and still try to make some money to stay sane enough to work even harder and…I think you get the drift. Just be thankful you even have the chance to try and be an artist. Most of the world won’t ever get that chance. So you kill that ego. Murder it in cold blood and dump its body into the ocean. It’s useless. HOWEVER…

Learn to stand up for yourself. This is also very important. It’s essential, even. If you’re still in college, you might work as an intern, for many of you this will probably be the only way you’ll be able to get art-related work in the beginning. If you’re already fresh out of it, you still can find internship programs or you’ll land your first job and start pretty much at the bottom anyway unless you somehow managed to accumulate a couple years of experience working on art. Don’t be fooled by creative environments thinking everyone is a sensitive, friendly and compassionate soul who will give you a chance just because you deliver shitty coffee at Pixar or because someone from your college recommended you after you graduated. You will find everything from people taking credit for other’s ideas to outright sexual harassment, and you have to learn to put your foot down and say “not to me”. Interns are at the absolute lowest of almost any creative field’s hierarchy. Sure, most people will be nice to you (unless you’re working in a toxic environment and if that is the case, get out), but there will be people, I guarantee it, that will not see you as a human being just because you’re an intern. If you’re fresh out of college and this is your first job, you’re not going to be very far from being seen the same way at best, or even a threat to some at worst if you show promise. And if you’re scared they will fire you if you stand up for yourself or someone else, just think about this: What would you rather deal with: the temporary disappointment of going back to your parents’ house for a few months with your tail between your legs, or working extra hours and getting paid less than everybody else in a tense, hostile environment, constant condescension and maybe even some form of abuse that is likely to shatter every single expectation you had of being an artist? Think about that.

Also, standing up for yourself means covering your ass. Learn how to charge for your work, learn how to make contracts if your employer doesn’t give them to you. Having a lawyer to help you with this is a very good idea. Learn to say “Fuck you. Pay me.”

• Man, this sucks, doesn’t it? Everything I’ve given you is bad news. Well, if you made it this far let me tell you: It’s probably going to really suck for you for about 10 years, give or take, especially give. Unless you are freakishly good, truly creative, well-connected AND incredibly lucky (you can’t miss one of these, you have to be all four), you will be grinding it for a looooong time until you can make a living just with art alone. This is high-risk/high-reward, and honestly most people don’t succeed. Very, very few get to make a living out of this thing. In fact, trying to monetize your art is a really stupid idea, most likely headed for failure at best, complete disaster at worst. But if this is truly what you love, it is also necessary. Hell, you’re so sure about it that either you or your parents gambled on it by paying for your college tuition. So yes, it’s a stupid idea but it’s also an absolute necessity for you. Mark my words, you will die inside if you don’t do it. You’re not made for 9-5. You can’t handle repetition, you despise those micro-managing pricks sitting on your cubicle telling you how to fill a form you know how to fill already with your eyes closed and a nuclear device taped to your left nostril. So you don’t get to have a choice. You have to do it. AND YOU MUST NEVER, EVER GIVE UP. Always have hope, and temper it with discipline. Discipline is Hope’s coach. Whenever Hope is ready to give up, Discipline will tell Hope not to be a little bitch and get up and fight. To truly pursue art in any form is, contrary to popular belief, not for the faint of heart. You want to be emotional? Be emotional when you create. Dump all of your emotion, your fear, sadness, your joy, your anger, all of your dreams and ideas on your work. But on the business side of it you have to be a stone cold monster with fangs and claws and knives and fire and God have mercy on whoever tries to take advantage of you. This is a fucking job. Treat it with the respect it deserves and make the appropriate sacrifices and maybe, just maybe, you’ll make a decent living out of it.

And I think that’s all I got. As always, please take my advice with a grain of salt, I don’t expect all of it to apply to you and I don’t expect everyone to agree with me and my approach to art. Everyone is different and different things work for different people, always keep that in mind. If you want to read more about how and why I am such a draconian asshole about art, you can read these other asks and hopefully you will find something helpful there too:

General Artist Advice

 Good night!

do y’all really think that bts would throw away their identity that easily??? lmao no, they love the meaning of “bangtan sonyeondan” as much as we do. they went through three years of training- three years of running towards an uncertain future to earn that title. even after their debut, they fought through audiences who made fun of that same title, calling it “cringy” and “oldschool”, to make it theirs. they love the group that is bangtan because it’s something that all of them fought for. which is why they referenced it so much in their songs (even the unofficial ones). from attack on bangtan to bulletproof pt 2 to dope and not today- they are PROUD of being called “bangtan sonyeondan”. changing their international name and logo is just another way for them to mature and grow as artists and be more attainable to the world-wide audience. yeah I get that it’s painful to let go of something that has been with us four years- believe me, I’m going to get a pain in my heart when I see the iconic bulletproof vest logo on one album but not the other. but we just have to remember that in the end, this is a very small change. they’re still the same boys, the same artists, with the same purpose and I think that’s what really matters. they’re still going to introduce themselves with “둘셋 방!탄! 방탄소년단입니다” in most of their videos/appearances and they’re still going to go up on every stage shouting “방탄방탄 방방탄” and they’re still going to be calling themselves “bangtan” in their albums and they will introduce themselves with “hello! we are bts!” when they’re in the states- just as they’ve always had. except now, the acronym for bts will actually stand for something that reflects bangtan’s meaning whereas before, there were the weird gaps in translation between bangtan sonyeondan to bulletproof boyscouts to bts. it’s going to be okay and again, nothing will really change in the big scheme of things.

Rap Monster
Q: The evolution of your autograph?
A: My autograph was completely different before. The office’s team leader said, “It’s too simple, you can’t use that” so that’s why it looks like it does now (laughs). It took a long, long time before I decided to use this. I think I probably signed like a couple thousand times.

Q: What’s great about the members?
A: J-Hope definitely will not overstep the boundary. He always has a sense of propriety so when he says something, you’ll think “ah~ that’s right.”

Jin hyung is also the type that values rules and regluation. Also, he would often hand me things that I had forgotten. He would remind me and say, “You forgot this~.” (laughs)

Suga hyung is a music partner. He’ll notice that things that I overlook.

V is always very cute and lively (laughs). I don’t have anything like that so there’s a lot for me to learn.

Jungkook has always worked super hard. Seeing him makes me think that I need to fight on!

Jimin always listens to me. He really is a very gentle dongsaeng.

The Signs as Suicide Squad Characters (pt.2 of 2)

Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel) - Cancer, Libra

Harley Quinn is no standard criminal. In fact, it all started at Arkham Asylum, where she worked as psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel and began analyzing the Joker. She grew obsessed with him and ended up falling in love with someone judged as an insane monster by others. The Joker is responsible for her transformation into Harley Quinn, in which she sees an opportunity to live a life with her Puddin’. Harley is a truly unique character, lovable because of her goofy and cute acts as well as her uncommon accent or sometimes bumbling behaviour. She seems carefree on the surface while she is deeply troubled due to her love for the Joker inside. The Joker’s companion has no natural superpowers but superb gymnast skills which she uses to knock her enemies out.

Joker - Scorpio, Gemini

The greatest opponent of Batman till this day - there are not many words that can describe the Joker’s distinctiveness. His total unpredictability allows him to break out of Arkham Asylum again and again. Nobody knows his true origin for nothing what the Joker says should be taken on trust. It’s just so easy to fall for the Joker cause no one can tell what’s serious and what’s deception coming out of his mouth. But beside his intimidating and manipulative aura, he’s a highly intelligent psychopath who acts ‎like an innocent clown or like a violent killer with total disregard for human life - all depending on his mood or current intentions. Appearing with a sense of honour can change in the next second into the desire to mock about himself, he loves to bring Batman in a life-threatening condition whom he considers to be the only one to be capable of standing up to him, but almost every time counts on him getting out alive. Harley is an integral part of his craziness  and maybe she truly is the closest one to tell if the Joker really loves her, but in the end his psychotic mood swings oftentimes get between the two of them.

Katana - Virgo

After the murder of her husband and sons at the hands of a criminal Japanese organization, Tatsu Yamashiro took up that same blade that was used to kill her family, traveled to America and vowed to battle against injustice. But her weapon “Soultaker” is no ordinary sword as it captures the souls of its victims and allows Katana to communicate with them. What also makes Katana stand out from the rest of the Suicide Squat is that she isn’t a villain. She volunteered to be there to protect and support Rick Flag. The highly skilled martial artist and swordswoman is extremely loyal towards Rick but nevertheless is a lone wolf. Since Katana is goal-oriented, perfectionist and reliable she has been a part of numerous super teams like the Justice League or the Birds of Prey.

Killer Croc (Waylon Jones) - Capricorn

When someone looks at Croc merely seeing a monster, then this one didn’t get him at all. True - Waylon Jones was born with a rare mutation defect that slowly turned his skin and body features into reptile-like or should one say crocodile-like appearance. He’s therefore super strong, an expert swimmer and has teeth able to rip flesh and bones apart. Before becoming a hard piece for Batman and a Suicide Squad member, Jones really had a crappy childhood: With the Father gone early and the mother an alcoholic, young Jones earned his money by Alligator wrestling. His nickname was now Killer Croc and he went to the bad. Croc is a sincere being, always calm and cool-looking. He’ll never forgive the one betraying the Suicide Squad and he’ll say ‘You’re one of us’ to the one earning his trust. Croc’s not much of a talker. He’d rather take it to action. He endures much because he always had to deal with being an outcast because of the way others see his exteriors and judge him before knowing him. Therefore he’ll be protective if someone really kneels into getting to know him a bit.

Rick Flag - Sagittarius

Rick Flag has no actual superpowers but is highly trained and skilled in combat with or without weapons. The former member of the military was chosen to lead the squad by Amanda Waller but he is not really enthusiastic about babysitting a bunch of criminals. Flag is a man who is attempting to do what is right and who has seen it all, maybe that is why he suffers from occasional mental instability. Through the movie, he succeeds at transforming the bunch of  villains into a unit, willing to do anything to destroy The Enchantress. Rick Flag in particular is not able to give up on June Moone because he loves her. In fact, the only time we see a softer, more caring side of him is when he is together with the possessed June. He would do anything to stop her from suffering.

Hii! I'm really sad rn cause I went looking for more ffs in the cs tag in ao3 but I found anti-cs/sq stories that involved killian hurting emma and rape and stuff like that - I didn't read it, but it was in the tags and it's so awfulf =( it's profoundly disturbing that ppl make up vile things as rape just bc they don't like fictional characters as couple. Do they understand what an awful thing this is? =( and why tag a hater story in the otp tag? Do you have something to cheer me up? =(

that’s awful and i can’t really cheer you up from mentions of rape. i think of it like a twisted plot device by people who not only hate the show and what it stands for, but the characters as well

these are the non angsty fics i’m currently reading

Nerdiest Nerds in the Multiverse - Part II: A Superhero Showdown

Follow up to my Danvers Sisters Week post: Nerdiest Nerds in the Multiverse.

This one’s for you, Cap. ( @queercapwriting ) You asked for more…I hope this is ok? (:

After dinner at Joe’s house, they’re all sitting around sipping on drinks, too excited to call it an evening just yet.

Joe, Wally, and Cisco sit across the couch, with Caitlin and Kara sitting on the floor across from them. Alex and Maggie share one chair, and Barry and Iris are sharing another.

Alex still has so many questions, and—amazingly—no one seems bothered by her yet. She’d just finished an in-depth description of the transmatter portal that Caitlin and Cisco are still mulling over.

Suddenly her face changes, “So…who wins in a race: Barry or Kara?”

Barry and Kara exchange grins—they’ve raced before—but they let everyone else answer.

The responses come all at one time…

Iris, Cisco, Joe and Caitlin shout, “Barry!”

Alex and Maggie shout, “Kara!”

And Wally shouts, “I would!”

Team Flash looks slightly embarrassed to not have thought of that. Wally stares at all of them, “Wow, guys. Thanks.”

They all start muttering apologies, but Alex’s interest is piqued, “Wait—you’re faster than Barry?”

Wally gives her a look, like duh. Barry winces, “Yeah…he actually is.”

“Wow. I mean, Kid Flash…I guess I just assumed…”

Kara crosses her arms, and stares pointedly at Maggie, “Yeah, well Kid Danvers is faster than regular Danvers, so maybe you shouldn’t have assumed.”

“Damn. Shots fired,” Iris mutters.

Cisco looks confused, “Who’s Kid Danvers?”

Kara rolls her eyes, “Apparently I am.”

Maggie blows her a kiss from across the room, “You love it.”

Kara tries not to grin…and fails, “Shut up.”

“Whatever Little Danvers,” she smirks, “Hey! Is that better?”

“Hardly,” Kara deadpans.

Alex’s mind is still turning, still calculating, “So like…how much faster than Barry are you?”

Barry and Wally have a bit of a staring contest, and Wally grins, “I’m only getting faster.”

“I’m not exactly slowing down.”

Iris rolls her eyes, “Oh brother.”

Joe takes a swig of his beer and looks between his sons, “Why don’t you just race?”

Barry and Wally whip their heads around at him, “What?” they say in unison.

He shrugs, “Race. Find out who’s faster.”

“Dad!” Iris yells, but he just laughs her off.

Alex looks at Joe, “I love that idea,” then to Caitlin, “I assume you have something that measures their speed?”

Caitlin shrugs, “Of course I do.”

“Wait, wait—” Cisco stands in the middle of the room with a grin, “are we about to have a superhero showdown? Because I think…we’re about to have…a Super…Hero…Showdown.”

Why do you say not to tag your posts as kin/me? I can't access your mobile rules and like its been bothering me for a bit on why.

((oh you wouldn’t find an explanation in rules, it’s just the same “don’t tag as kin/me” thing in there xD I’m gonna throw it under a cut for anyone that wants to know why I have this stance on it, then link this in the rules so if anyone’s like you in the future they can read this.))
