what other secret will be revealed this season

Potential scenes for Jon/Dany about their past, present and future of dealing with it.

I have this idea for one or maybe few scenes tied into very important aspect of their storylines and that is a mother figure.

Jon and Dany always wanted to know his mother and the whole secret about that was revealed for Jon last season. I’d expect them to have some sort of conversation about their lives including emotional holes for their mothers or perhaps after a wight hunt. We know what will happen to Dany.

Before all hells breaks loose. That he has to visit crypts, pay respects and ultimately accept who he is. Same for Dany with her mother at Dragonstone.

What if and that is my scenario. Both will be there for each other during that. Jon and Dany exploring Dragonstone together and stumble upon Rhaegar’s picture or something that was his. Also, her mother’s tomb and paying respect. Well ,after all these two are Targaryens.

Basically, what I want, is for there and in general be there as emotional support for each other. Another set of scenes, especially after the reveal, to show them their bond, trust and love. Dany would understand Lyanna’s love for Jon and vice versa Jon would understand the hole she has in her heart after losing her mother, and Jon’s/Dany’s emotional state during that, especially for Jon of at least knowing who his mother was. No matter how hard truth that really is.

I want their relationship be more than just a sex or lust. I want it to be a true love and this is what to me a real relationship is about. Supporting one another in the very difficult times. This for sure can be applied to Jon and Dany knowing that hole of not knowing her mother.

Just finished Season 2 of The Flash

def not as good as season 1. The writing was so bad in some places. Many cases of people reacting in ways that don’t actually make any kind of sense, just to further the plot and create unnecessary drama for the sake of drama. I mean, this also happened in season 1 but not quite as much. Also the villain was just waaaay less interesting. I really think they kind of blew their load with Reverse Flash in season 1. They should have had a different, non-speedster Big Bad for season 1 and kept the Wells/Eobard thing secret (but maybe hinted at?) for a later season. Like, having the enemy be any other speedster would have made for a much more dramatic conflict if it hadn’t been established right away. Imagine one or two seasons where Barry is the only speedster, then it’s revealed the Big Bad is, dun dun DUN, another speedster! “What? There’s another who can move as fast as The Flash?!” But nope, right away there it is, and the conflict is Barry isn’t fast enough. Then we get to season two, and the enemy is yet another speedster with much less interesting goals, and the problem is, you guessed it, Barry isn’t fast enough. In a show about “the fastest man alive”, having him not be fast enough is already old.

Top 15 Treehouse of Horror Segments

The Simpsons Halloween Specials are a tradition in my household and possibly the main reason why I love The Simpsons so much. I don’t care who you are, if you are lucky enough to be spending Halloween with me, this is what we will be doing! As a fan of horror/sci-fi anthology shows such as Tales from the Crypt, The Twilight Zone and kids show Goosebumps, how could I not enjoy a Treehouse of Horror marathon at any stage of the year, and not just October 31st? I have watched all of the Halloween Specials countless times, and have here for you, a list of the best 15 segments, not episodes, that demonstrate how time and time again, The Simpsons have conquered the cartoon, delivering some frightful and memorable horror themed episodes every year since its second season. Get in the mood for Halloween and watch the best Simpsons segments of all time!

15. Bart’s Nightmare/The Bart Zone - Treehouse of Horror II - Season 3

“I’m not nodding, it’s the air conditioning” - Homer

A segment of Twilight Zone-esqe quality in which Bart controls the entire town of Springfield due to his telepathic and supernatural powers. We see Bart changing American history, forcing Krusty the Clown work on a 24/7 basis and Homer hilariously turned into a jack-in-a-box. In this season, like its two former, the focus of many episodes still revolve mainly around Homer and Bart, and this segment demonstrates this, and is significant in Simpsons history.

14. Bart Simpson’s Dracula - Treehouse of Horror IV - Season 5

“Lisa, vampires are make believe like elves, gremlins and Eskimos!” - Homer

A parodic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula which is very memorable with fans of the show. With classic comedy moments, it deserves a spot on this list. The Simpsons are invited to stay at Mr. Burns’ house where Bart and Lisa learn he is a vampire, but of course, the family are never safe in these non-canon episodes, not even safe from the ‘Super Fun Happy Slide,’ which ironically leads to Burns’ lair where his immortal body rests.

13. Homer3 - Treehouse of Horror VI - Season 7

“It’s like he just disappeared into fat air.” - Selma

In this, The Simpsons creators use a 3D animation as Homer goes behind a bookcase and enters another dimension in attempt to hide from Marge’s sisters. Many of the Simpson’s characters gather to discuss how to help Homer escape. Of course, as always, Homer manages to mess everything up and collapses the dimension, taking him to a “better place” (a live action Los Angeles).

12. Starship Poopers -  Treehouse of Horror IX - Season 10

“Someone needs to show your green ass some responsibility!” - Random woman in Jerry Springer audience.

Kang and Kodos are iconic characters in the non-canon Treehouse of Horror stories and undoubtedly make the episodes that little more interesting and humorous. After we learn that Maggie was conceived by Marge and Kang, instead of Homer, a custody battle begins. They all appear on the Jerry Springer show, where of course, nothing gets solved. The final segment of my all time favourite Treehouse of Horror episode.

11. The Terror of Tiny Toon - Treehouse of Horror IX - Season 10

“Momma took those batteries, she took ‘em away. Momma took those batteries, size AA.” - Homer (singing with harmonica)

Marge takes Maggie trick-or-treating but orders Bart and Lisa not to watch any episodes of Itchy and Scratchy. They then find a “highly unstable” substitute for the remote battery and end up in the cartoon itself. After finding a scene of the cartoon funny, Itchy and Scratchy decide to get their own back and plot to kill Bart and Lisa.

10. Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace - Treehouse of Horror VI - Season 7

“Bart, don’t you realise what this means? The next time we fall asleep we could die.” - Lisa

“Hey! Welcome to my world!” *falls asleep* - Grandpa

A brilliant adaptation of Nightmare on Elm Street, Groundskeeper Willie is haunting the children of Springfield’s dreams. Once most of the children realise that they are all having nightmares about him, they try to come together and beat him. After many of the children dying, Bart and Lisa try to help each other by staying awake for as long as possible. Eventually they enter the dream and try to beat him once and for all.

09. I Know What You Diddily-Iddily-Did - Treehouse of Horror X - Season 11

“When I think about Ned, I can’t help but remember the look on his face when Marge drove over–” - Homer

In this parody of I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Simpsons kill Ned Flanders and decide to keep it a secret from the town.  However, like many Treehouse of Horror episodes, Flanders is some form of supernatural being, and here, stalks the family before revealing his true werewolf form. With many memorable quotes, this is a classic segment that deserves a top ten spot.

08. Dial ‘Z’ For Zombies - Treehouse of Horror III - Season 4

“Martin Prince, report to my office at once; and bring that big, juicy, chess-club brain of yours along with you.” - Principal Skinner

Bart stumbles across the ‘occult section’ of the Springfield Library, and decides to try a spell that will wake the Simpsons beloved cat, Snowball I. Instead, he ends up raising the entire dead population of Springfield. This segment features one my favourite Treehouse of Horror moments: “Spare my family, take me, take me.” Homer’s self-sacrifice is dismissed as the Zombies knock on his head and walk away, not interested at all with Homer or his lack of brain.

07. Lisa’s Nightmare/The Monkey’s Paw - Treehouse of Horror II - Season 3

“The turkey’s a little dry” - Homer

An adaptation of the short story by W.W Jacobs. After a trip to Morocco (originally thought by Homer to be Monaco), Homer is enticed by a strange monkey’s paw, which he was advised not to buy. It is said to grant wishes, but with grave misfortune as its consequence. The Simpsons obviously ignore this and and try for themselves; their wishes including a pacifier for Maggie, wealth and fame, peace on earth and finally, the perfect sandwich.

06. The Ned Zone - Treehouse of Horror XV - Season 16

“But, you’re gonna kill us all!” - Ned
“But, ice cream cake!” - Homer

A worthy episode simply for its adaptation of The Dead Zone, that proves even later Treehouse of Horror is capable of having top quality horror-comedy. Ned Flanders, again as a character with supernatural powers, develops the ability to see visions of peoples deaths when in contact with them. This segment is brilliant in portraying Homer at his ignorant, selfish best, and emphasises a frustrated friendship between him and Flanders that is commonly seen in the canon episodes.

05. The Genesis Tub -Treehouse of Horror VII - Season 8

“It worked! The de-bigulator worked!” - Professor Frink

Lisa uses one of her baby teeth for a science project, which actually turns into a miniature world where she is God. It begins to develop at a rapid rate and soon creates technology to exit the tub in which they originally existed. They consider Bart to be the Devil and try to destroy him, as well as shrinking Lisa with no possible way of resizing her. Bart steals Lisa’s invention whilst she is in it and uses it for his own project, and Lisa faces the rest of her life in the miniature world.

04. The Shinning - Treehouse of Horror V - Season 6

“No TV and no beer make Homer go something, something” - Homer

“Go crazy?” - Marge

“Don’t mind if I do!” - Homer

A very funny and dedicated adaptation of The Shining. Homer begins down the path of Nicholson-style insanity as the Simpsons work as caretakers in a secluded mansion. Some of The Simpsons’ finest comedy moments feature in this tiny segment, and Treehouse of Horror V is regarded by most as the best Treehouse of Horror episode.

3. Time and Punishment - Treehouse of Horror V - Season 6

“Marge dear, would you kindly pass me a donut?” - Homer

I’m a sucker for time travel, so this segment naturally has to be one of my favourites. In this, the Simpsons’ toaster has broken, so Homer spends an unhealthy amount of time fixing it. Instead, he creates a time machine which takes him back to the age of the dinosaurs. Not following Grandpa’s advice about leaving everything untouched, Homer squishes a bug and returns back to the present day. Upon his return, Ned Flanders is the world ruler, much to Homer’s dismay and he attempts to go back and return everything back to how it was. After many unsuccessful attempts, Homer settles for what he feels is “close enough”. I have to mention, along with ‘The Shinning’ from the same episode, that I specifically love the presence of Groundskeeper Willie, who appears in each segment of Treehouse of Horror V.

02. The Devil and Homer Simpson - Treehouse of Horror IV - Season 5

“Homer, stop picking at it!” - Marge

“Aw, but I’m so sweet and tasty. - Homer

Homer’s donut craving is so severe he signs a contract with the Devil (Ned Flanders) in exchange for his soul. He tries to outsmart the Flanders by not finishing the last bite, but of course he cannot help himself, and in a sleepwalk state, eats the remainder. The Simpson’s demand a fair trial, but before this, Homer spends the day in Hell, eating an unlimited supply of donuts. This segment is packed with hilarious moments, notably an animated Richard Nixon on the Devil’s “jury of the damned”.

01. Hell Toupée - Treehouse of Horror IX - Season 10

“Freeze Hairball!” - Chief Wiggum

Snake is one of my favourite characters, and possibly the coolest. Who else could comb their hair with Kwik-E-Mart nacho cheez and still rock the bag-boy image? This specific segment is obscure but not one to be missed! It oozes classic Simpsons at a time where their innuendos and mature themes were at their best. Such genuine humour never really to be seen to that extent again, especially not from the canon episodes. It features on a VHS I bought called Too Hot For TV, and even as a child I recognised just how adult themed the collection of episodes was on that tape. After Snake gets executed for attempted robbery of the Kwik-E-mart, his vengeance is taken out beyond the grave through Homer, who was given his hair though a transplant. Apu and Moe are the first victims but Bart was also at the crime scene.

Honourable mentions: Hungry are the Damned (season 2), Nightmare Cafeteria (season 6), Citizen Kang (season 8), The HΩmega Man (season 9), Desperately Xeeking Xena (season 11) and Night of the Dolphin (season 12)

I just started thinking, because of the fact that there are a mixture of thoughts in the tag as to how the other paladins will react when they find out about Keith being a Galra in fic or canon…

I wonder if Keith being revealed to be full or half Galra in the second season is going to be a mirror/foil to Pidge revealing that she’s actually being Katie Holt in the first season?

As in, it’s a similar kind of situation, but everyone deals with things in such different ways.

In the Pidge/Katie version, everyone found out (except for Lance) and they were mostly unaware it was meant to be a secret. The reveal was anticlimactic. Pidge always knew that she was female - the reveal was more for the sake of allowing her to be herself to the others, as well as letting the audience know once and for all. No one treated her any differently afterwards, either.

But what if in a potential Galra Keith version of this, we have Lance finding out first - after all, Lance was the one who was there when Keith activated Galra systems with only his hand, and no borrowed tech. What if we have everyone having a hard time coming to terms with it, not because they couldn’t see it coming, but because they didn’t want to - a lot can be ignored if you’re in denial. Keith certainly doesn’t seem to know about being anything other than human, so a reveal would shock him as much, if not more than, the rest of the paladins - not to mention, he’d be the one with the most amount of adverse psychological effects, from finding out his entire life was a lie. The paladins, as well as Allura and Coran, would treat him differently - they’d need to figure things out again, rebalance themselves. And not just because of their own prejudices and all, but because Keith is having a hard time adjusting. To ignore this would be fatal to the team dynamic - they’d literally have to change in order to show him they still care.

Which is why I say it could be a mirror. We see in the first canonical case what does happen when a secret is revealed that’s relatively benign; so what would happen if a secret were to be revealed in a different way, that’s not so benign, that’s more likely to fracture the team if not handled well enough?

It’s possible that as well as having narrative reason to be there, the Pidge/Katie plot was there to aid in the paladins’ and Alteans’ character development, to learn how to deal with secrets.

Just a theory, but. We’ll just have to see if I’m proven wrong next month.

I’m really confused about the EQ-Regina essentially deliberately traumatizing her son? And the writer’s still indicating she loves him.

Like ensuring her other half kills a man in front of him (even blocking the phone call from HIS phone), reminding him that his other mother abandoned him, undermining a positive father figure and essentially taking another father figure away from him by bringing the shears to light, actively trying to kill his grandparents, etc, and is talking about getting him to accept her as evil, forcing him to face the fear of his other mother by making her reveal she is dying, etc.

It’s kinda super fucked up really, and I don’t know how we’re supposed to reconcile the two ideas of her loving him but at the same time she is subjecting him to this level of emotional and psychological anguish. He is still a child.

Dark Swan did everything she could to spare him the anguish of what she had done. She did everything in secret and approached him very carefully. She deceived him but with good reason even though her methods were wrong.

I really just struggling with this, considering how Regina treated him in Season 1 and Season 2 when she was one unit and how they are handling their relationship so far.

Spencer’s twin?

We know for sure that there is going to be twin on the show. Marlene, Tammen Sursok (Jenna), Sasha Pieterse (Alison) confirmed it. But we have yet to see one.

Season 4, Episode 23: Veronica has a flashback of the summer before Alison went missing, when Spencer was using drugs for the first time. Veronica was distraught and cleaning up the mess Spencer made when Ali walked in and wanted to help. But Veronica refused and made her go home. Alison walks away and sees a very sick looking Spencer.

Apparently, Spencer doesn’t remember that summer. Maybe because she wasn’t living it at all. We know that Spencer sometimes loses memory when she was on the pills. But to lose an entire summer? And here’s another shot right after Veronica and Spencer had that conversation.

A mirror image of Spencer.

Season 4, Episode 16: Why did Peter want to shut down Radley? The 6A Summer Finale has confirmed that Charles is Jessica and Kenneth’s son. The resemblance and family genes match up. There’s no Hastings in him as people were suggesting. Peter also wanted Toby to sign the settlement which he received from Radley for Marion’s death with the stipulation that he’ll never mention his mom’s “accident” again.

If Cece is to be believed then we know Bethany pushed Marion off the roof. So by getting Toby to sign the settlement he was essentially protecting Bethany.

Jessica and Peter also had an “understanding” as we see Season 4, Episode 24.

What understanding could have connections with Spencer and Charles/Cece? None whatsoever unless we put Bethany into the mix. Watching this scene after 6A basically suggests that Bethany is Spencer’s elder sister or twin who has been in Radley. Only Peter and Melissa are aware of her existence. When Charles and Bethany became friends, Jessica became acquainted with Peter. It is known that Jessica was having an affair with Bethany’s dad. Who do we know who had an affair with Jessica? Peter.

Bethany pushed Marion off the roof and blamed Charles. Neither of the parents could trust what their children accused the other of. So together, Jessica and Veronica covered up a murder. That is their “understanding”. I can see no other explanation for it.

It also seems equally possible to me that Bethany is Peter’s daughter from another affair. But not necessarily Jessica. Only Melissa knew about it by some accident. Melissa and Peter have the closest bond in the family. Each protects the other and keeps their secrets. It was to Peter Melissa confessed killing Bethany.

Remember when Peter and Veronica went to Toby’s apartment and found Ezra’s research? Peter didn’t want to open it when Ezra said that there’s dirt on it about the parents too. Veronica already knew about Jason so what other secrets was he afraid of revealing?

Spencer had that dream about the creepy dancer dancer in Radley in Season 6, Episode 5. She said to Mona that it “felt like I’ve been in there before” and that the girl looked like an younger version of Alison, about maybe 11 or 12. Later when Spencer went to Radley to find out more about Charles, she saw a malnutrition poster featuring the girl she had a dream about. So it was obviously a manifestation of the girl on the poster (shoutout to xjennax13 for this!). So it’s safe to say that Spencer had actually no idea what the “girl in the dream” looked like. But she has been there. That much is true since she could give an accurate description of that exact room in Radley.

Melissa’s riding helmet was also found in the stable where Mrs. D took Bethany out for riding lessons. Melissa always knows more about the Hastings family secrets more than Spencer. She also knew Alison was alive before anyone did.

From what we know about Bethany, she could either be Spencer’s fraternal/identical twin or elder sister. The Hastings and Dilaurentis family has always seemed linked together in so many ways. It’s not that big of a leap to think that maybe their family histories are somewhat similar too.

I kind of understand what Loo meant by the beautiful scenes that she had shared with Benedict as Sherlock in season 4. Although there were not much of her screen time but the glimpses of Sherlock and Molly’s intense relationships; how they glanced at each other or even how they conversed these days, had been showing quite something. People around them mentioned them to one another very differently. I do not want to overly interpret but it was obvious that they had come very very far from the ridding crops experiment scene from season1. My guts told me that they had been hiding “secrets” which hopefully will be revealed in Ep.3 soon but who knows, might not ever will. Anyway…chin up, smile on and enjoy the great show, people.

Take care,
Nuchamae

anonymous asked:

what are your favorite wincest fics?

Uuuuh okay

Absolute favourites:

We were twenty | 30k | It’s sunny the day he buries his brother. Winter sun, where the air’s cold and everything is too bright, hard on his eyes and his lungs. These are the days made for hats and scarves and mittens in dozens of colors. The light washes the world out on its own, and the funeral is worse than in rain. It’s supposed to be April.

Bend my finger back (Snap) | 11k | Dean is only seventeen when he hits his lowest, losing his mother in a fire. After that, his family seems to fall apart – his father is suddenly distant, and between therapy sessions and trying to struggle through each day, Dean and his brother Sam grow apart as well, even though they used to be more than close before the fire. It takes Dean two years to grow tired of this and decide to do something about his life for once… but there’s no telling whether his decisions are the right ones and whether they will eventually lead to the happiness he desires.

Blue skies from rain | 177k | The morning after Sam rescues Dean from the djinn, Sam and Dean go back to the warehouse to take care of the bodies of both the victims and of the djinn. But instead of what should be a simple clean-up job, Sam and Dean are sucked into a nightmare world brought about by the djinn’s last dying act of revenge. (Takes place directly after What Is and What Should Never Be.) What do you do when you wake up in a mental institution and you think your brother is dead?

The other was a star-shaped hole | 28k | AU following the end of the fifth season. Dean finds a way to pull Sam out of Hell, and now all they want is for things to be over. For them to be safe. But both brothers have secrets they aren’t sharing, and it takes several attacks from never-before-seen creatures— including strangely Hollywood-like zombies— to make them admit things aren’t quite as perfect as they’ve been pretending. Sam reveals he still has a piece of Hell trapped inside his mind, and it’s clear Hell is set on getting it back. He and Dean resolve to make a stand, but even that isn’t as simple as it seems. The struggle not only takes an immense toll on Sam’s mind and body, it also starts changing his relationship with Dean. There’s a price to be paid for every victory, and the Winchesters find themselves paying their worst one yet.

*note: All these four fics are quite intense, so check warnings before reading!

Honorable mention:

I’ll always remember you (this way) | 10k | Sam’s wall has come down and there is no quick fix this time; Crowley helps Dean out and gives Sam a new identity, and a new life as a lawyer and erases his memories. Dean leaves, promising himself that he will never see Sam again. However – a hunt in Lawrence leads Dean back to Sam but this is a Sam who doesn’t know or remember Dean and whilst defending Dean, it is a Sam who falls in love with Dean; falls so deeply in love that he wants nothing but for Dean to feel the exact same way.Can Dean forget that they were ever brothers? And can he finally give Sam what he wants?

Monumentally stupid | 5k | Sam’s hurt both hands, so Dean has to shave him. Having Dean that close to him, focused with that little concentrating frown, breath warm on his face, Dean’s competent hands tilting his head and angling him exactly the way he wants him – well, Sam’s not doing too well right now pretending he’s not attracted to his brother. And he’s only wearing boxers, Dean’s bound to notice. Dean’s going to have him all figured out.

Dating for dummies | 3k | The morning after the first time he had sex with Dean, Sam woke up alone in bed, his whole body aching. There was a bite mark on the inside of his thigh, and probably another one on his collarbone—he couldn’t see it, but the skin felt hot and tender there.

Anti-kink series | 58k | I take perfectly good kinks and ruin them :) Just all-round cracktastic and angst-free fun with the boys

Supernatural born killers | 33k | Movie retell of Natural Born Killers with a Supernatural twist. This is the story of Sam and Dean Winchester, two of the most dangerous men in America. The media frenzy surrounding them and their recent capture has exploded. The world is dying to know more about the two most famous serial killers - sorry, mass murderers - and the Winchesters are just dying to share. Dark, twisted, violent and bursting with wincest like whoa! Nothing can stop fate and anyone who gets in their way is going to find that out.

For now we see through a glass, darkly | 15k | In which Dean is a dark glass, holding no more than shadows and the flickering reflection of Sam’s bloodied light…

Over the last four seasons, the impossibly attractive high school heroes of Teen Wolf have squared off with werewolf hunters, a vengeful kanima, one seriously evil grandfather, a deadly pack of Alphas, ancient assassins, the nightmarish Nogitsune, werejaguars, banshees, Berserkers, a wendigo, and, of course, The Benefactor.

But, according to executive producer Jeff Davis, facing those supernatural baddies pales in comparison to the terror Scott and his pack feel in Season 5 about what happens to them after high school graduation.

“There’s this strange thing: For some reason when you graduate high school, you leave all your best friends — why do you do that? There’s a moment in the first episode where Stiles asks that question aloud. He says, ‘If we’ve met the best people in our lives, why aren’t we trying to stay with them? Why do we try and go our separate ways?’ That’s the big fear of Season 5: Who’s going to go away?” Davis told BuzzFeed News during a recent visit to theTeen Wolf set in Van Nuys, California. “Much of the previous seasons were about Scott finding and building a pack; this is going to see him possibly losing it — possibly ending up on his own without his friends by his side, wondering how he’s going to face life without them. Which is very similar to a teenager who has to go off to college and meet all new people. I think that’s a valid fear.”

I Kind of Expected This: Farkle and Riley’s Humanity

So, this is actually part of a series.  I posted the links to the first three volumes last week, and now, there is a fourth online.  I can re-link if anyone is interested. This is actually part five of a six-part essay.  It’s 25 pages and counting and took me a month and a half to write.  Basically, the gist of this essay is whether or not “Girl Meets World” follows the trope of the Gothic double as exemplified in Edgar Allan Poe’s story “Ligeia” (Yes, I know that Poe is American, but since this story is about the doubling between two women, it made more sense to use Poe than Stevenson’s Jekyll and Hyde.).  I recommend you read this story, not only because it will help you understand this article better but because the story is truly fascinating and chilling.

But what is the Gothic double?  Simple: a literary device used in Gothic texts in which a character or characters represent two contrasting sides of human nature.  Often, the Gothic double is done using a character foil (Riley and Maya), but there are times when the doubling is done within one character.  In the whole of the essay, I argue that while there are times when “Girl Meets World” uses the trope to say that Riley is light and good and Maya is dark and bad, the series actually more often subverts that trope.  Largely, that is attributed to Lucas’s tendency to recognize Maya’s humanity, and in turn, Farkle’s tendency to see that in Riley.  This volume, obviously, is about the Riley and Farkle subversion of the trope.  Let’s get started!

Previously, Farkle did hold on tightly to the idea that Riley was the light half of the double with Maya.  At the start of the second season, he was a member of the “Riley Committee,” consisting of a few people who wanted to protect Riley’s virginal ears from facts or concepts that would disrupt her cheery disposition.  However, Farkle’s position on the Riley Committee changes later in the season and probably during “Girl Meets Rileytown,” an episode in which Riley is tormented by another student for being, for lack of sophistication, a goofy teenager.  Less than two minutes into the episode, we notice a distinct change in Riley’s disposition.  She is angry and tearful; absent of her trademark grins and giggles.  No one can decipher her behavior, and that includes Maya, who allegedly knows her better than anyone else.

No one, that is, except for Farkle.  As a former victim of ridicule himself, Farkle is able to see the warning signs in Riley’s behavior.  He quietly concludes that Riley is being bullied and unlike Maya and Lucas, he is not fixated on getting Riley to smile again.  This is not to say that he does not appreciate this side of Riley.  When he tells Maya that he suspects Riley is being tormented, he says, “Of course she’s silly… that’s what we all love about her.” This just is not the only side of Riley that Farkle cares to love or acknowledge.

None of Riley’s friends want her to keep the bullying secret.  But Farkle never says anything about restoring her to the light double and the light double alone.  He is the only one who does not want this for her.  Rather, from this point forth, Farkle is concerned with getting Riley to express her true feelings regardless of how happy they are.

Farkle is again at odds with his friends in the season-two episode “Girl Meets Rah Rah.” Riley is trying out for the cheerleading squad despite her lack of coordination, and Maya and Lucas do not want her to do this because they think the inevitable rejection will crush her spirits and turn her away from being Smiley Riley.  This is not Farkle’s stance.  When Riley’s friends come to watch her try out for the squad, Maya and Lucas shield their eyes to keep from watching Riley fail.  They cannot bear to watch Riley physically injure herself because injury is a sign of humanity.  Farkle does not follow suit.  Rather, he watches Riley wipe out with an affectionate smile because to err is human.  To be Smiley Riley all the time is unrealistic.  At the same time, when Lucas confusedly asks Farkle how much he is rooting for Riley in a situation where she is inexorably doomed, Farkle replies (behind that same affectionate smile), “As much as always.” He does not change his mind simply because this is a difficult spot for Riley.  He advocates for her even when she does not look perfect.  Unlike Lucas, Farkle does not hold the expectation that Riley should always be happy and doing well.  Instead, he will appreciate her struggles because they are part of what makes Riley a realistic human.

Finally, it is Farkle (and Farkle alone) who encourages Riley to express her feelings, even at the expense of others.  This is most evident in the season-two episode “Girl Meets the New Year,” in which Farkle tells Riley that if she does not confess her romantic feelings for Lucas in spite of Maya’s similar feelings, he will reveal the secret at midnight on January 1.  It is common knowledge that Smiley Riley, the light half of the Riley/Maya double, would always put her friends’ happiness before her own.  Farkle refuses to let her do this because being Smiley Riley at all times is unfair to the mortal side of Riley.  He understands that “[her] own happiness” will come “at a cost,” a statement that evidently embodies the idea that Farkle sees Riley’s humanity unlike anyone else in her life.  Most of Riley’s friends think that her happiness will come from ignoring pain and suffering and thinking about fluffy bunnies all the time.  Yet again, this is not the case where Farkle is concerned.  Unlike characters like Maya and Lucas, Farkle comprehends that in order for Riley to reach her peace, she might have to visit some darkness.

There is no episode that reveals Farkle’s favor (not preference) for Riley’s darker and more human side than “Girl Meets Yearbook,” also part of the second season.  As previously noted, this is the episode in which Riley embraces an alternate persona, Morotia M. Black, to combat the generalization that she will “smile herself to death.” On the same day, Farkle too adopts an alternate personality—Donnie Barnes, Regular Guy.  While Farkle does not physically witness Riley’s transformation, he climbs through her bay window after school to see her because he “kind of expected this.” On the contrary, everyone else seems rather surprised that Riley would forego her sunshine-y ways and embrace sorrow.  As the two “alternate” (as Morotia and Donnie are very real aspects of Riley and Farkle’s personalities, but that is another essay altogether) personalities chat, they share this exchange:

Riley: Shall we sit and ponder on the ridiculous futility of caring?

Farkle: Let’s do it.

Riley: You get me.

And it is true.  Farkle, Donnie Barnes or not, does “get her.” Even though Riley does not always speak and dress like Morotia M. Black, the character still exists within her.  Otherwise, she could not have become her.  Farkle is not actively campaigning for Riley to act as she usually does, but Maya and Lucas certainly are.  The audience already knows that he appreciates Smiley Riley, but he appreciates Morotia equally.  He understands her and expected her to react this way.  He loves the light and dark parts of Riley’s personality with congruence, and therefore, he subverts the Gothic double trope.  How can he box Riley into being the light double if he loves her dark tendencies just as much as the light ones?  The answer, naturally, is that he cannot.

—Oncers Spread Love Project (Hiatus Countdown Edition)—

And we’re back! For those of you who have not participated in our previous few Oncers Spread Love projects, you’re in for a fun treat! As previous participants know, Kenzie and I started this project a few years back after seeing so much negativity and hate in the fandom. We wanted to combat that hate with love. So, we started a project where we randomly paired up several of you with another anonymous user and had you get to know each other over the month before revealing yourself at the end! Because the last few projects have been such a hit, we wanted to bring you another one to count down the days to the Season Five premiere. Can you believe we’re already on our FIFTH season?!

As always, it’s a Secret Santa concept
. We’ll pair you with a random blog for the days of September counting down to the premiere on September 27. Through that month, you will be expected to get to know your partner. Scout their blog and find out what ships they fancy, characters they adore and other such things. Ask them questions! Send them encouraging notes, hellos, geeking, etc everyday ANONYMOUSLY. Hey, as an extra treat, you can even make them a gift based on the characters/ships/etc that they might love! Then, on September 27th, you will reveal yourself to your Secret Oncer. Sounds fun right? Of COURSE right!

How to enter: Like this post. If you wouldn’t mind, would you also reblog it? We’d love it if you would help us spread the word as our sign-up time is a litttle shorter this year! But make sure to note that only liking this post will get you entered. *(If you are a sideblog and wish to receive asks from your sideblog url, you can reblog the picture to enter just make SURE to write in a comment when you reblog saying that this is the sideblog you want to receive messages on.)* You will receive an ask within the coming weeks from either me (Katie/blushingsilhouettes) or Kenzie (notyouraverage-itgirl). Once you get your name, ask either of us any questions you may have. The end date for liking this post is August 29. We will begin sending out your partners between August 30-31, but remember to not send your partner your first anonymous message until September 1.

Guidelines/Rules:

  • Make sure you have anonymous messages checked. Otherwise this wouldn’t really work out to well, right? It also helps us not have to send out tons of messages to those of you who don’t have the option checked. Also, if you do not have an ask box even available on your blog, we will not be including you, unfortunately.
  • There is no sarcastic, or un-sarcastic, hate allowed. Period. The excessive amounts of ridiculous hate is the reason this was created. Let’s be nice, mature human beings who know how to send excessive amounts of love in return.
  • You get who you get and, please, don’t throw a fit. If your partner has completely opposite views in ships and favorite parts of the show, try to acknowledge that people think differently on subjects. Probe them as to why they like the ship with interest or find something else in common to talk about.
  • Your Oncer is your new tumblr best friend for the month of September (and hopefully beyond!). Learn EVERYTHING you possibly can about them as soon as you can. You want to be able to strike up a conversation with them don’t you?
  • Send at LEAST 1 message every other day. We know life can get busy, especially during school times, but we don’t want partners who aren’t contributing, right?
  • Track the tag ‘Oncers Spread Love’ for future updates. Also, as you begin receiving messages, tag those asks with the tag so we can watch your journey together with your Secret Oncer!
  • We recognize that people may not be able to reveal themselves to their partner exactly on September 27th for various reasons, but try your hardest. That said, if absolutely not possible, we’d like it if you could reveal yourself to your partner anytime between the 27-29th of September.

Now Oncers, it’s time for us to start counting down the days to the season five premiere!

Inside The Terrifying Fifth Season Of “Teen Wolf”

Executive producer Jeff Davis breaks his silence on what’s to come: Who’s in, who’s out, and who’s returning to Beacon Hills?

Why do we try and go our separate ways?’ That’s the big fear of Season 5: Who’s going to go away?” Davis told BuzzFeed News during a recent visit to the Teen Wolf set in Van Nuys, California.

But in Season 5, Davis added, the supernatural supervillains that Teen Wolf has become known for will also be making life in Beacon Hills a living hell. “For me, the tagline of this season that we use in the writers room is: The rules have changed,” he said. “The 20-episode season will be very much the world of the supernatural being turned upside down.”

What else can you expect from the next stretch of episodes? Davis broke down the new season, character by character, to reveal what Season 5 has in store for everybody.

1. Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien)

“One of the first questions we asked in the writers room for each of the characters is, ‘How can we test them? How can we challenge them in huge ways this year?’ I think we’ve come up with a really good arc for Stiles. Dylan is going to get a lot to play. This is very much a season of secrets and how secrets can break a group of friends apart, and how people can lose faith in each other. It’ll be interesting to see when Stiles loses faith in Scott, where his relationship with Malia is tested and broken. We’re going to have a lot of character drama and conflict with that.”

2. Scott McCall (Tyler Posey)

“We’re going to test Scott in big ways. He’s done very well as a leader, but what happens when he fails? What happens when everyone’s faith in him is tested? He’s going to go through a lot of difficulty this season.”

3. Lydia Martin (Holland Roden)

“I think Holland is one of the best actors we have and we love seeing what else she can play. She’s funny, she can play heavy drama, she’s great in horror stuff too. She’s going to have a lot to do this season, but it’s very much secret. All I can say that the cold open of the season premiere is all about Lydia.”

4. Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin)

“Tyler Hoechlin decided he wanted more time to pursue movies. We talked and creatively agreed that maybe this was a good season to refocus on the teens ofTeen Wolf, and while he won’t be a series regular anymore, I can say that you probably won’t have seen the last of Derek Hale. We love him and miss him.”

5. Kira Yukimura (Arden Cho)

“She’s going to be struggling with the kitsune as a spirit within her, struggling against it as she grows in power. We really dive into the myth behind the kitsune; how it affects her life and how it affects her relationship with Scott. Does that tear them apart? Is there a moment where we’re not sure if these two are going to last?”

6. Liam Dunbar (Dylan Sprayberry)

“How much can he keep his secret identity a secret? His best friend Mason is going to need to know at some point. We’ve found that these two kids are really good together. They were friends before we cast them. All these young Hollywood actors kind of know each other, but you never know if they’re going to have chemistry on screen together. Some days, they feel like Scott and Stiles 2.0.”

7. Mason (Khylin Rhambo)

“We get to know him a lot better and one of the things we find out about his background is that he is the unexpected child in a family of adult siblings. So where they’re all great successes, he’s that kid who is sort of left out. So we discover this season that he needs a pack of his own.”

8. Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig)

“The Desert Wolf [her mother] is huge for Malia. It’s going to affect her deeply and make her question the kind of person she is. It could even affect her relationship with Stiles and tear them apart.”

9. Peter Hale (Ian Bohen)

“There are some characters who will show up a little later, and a lot of that has to do with the refocus on the teenagers. So you may not see Argent [J. R. Bourne] or Peter Hale in the first few episodes, but do not count them out.”

10. Deputy Jordan Parrish (Ryan Kelley)

“Parrish has a major part in the whole plot of Season 5. He is a big deal. You may not find out what he is in [the first half of the season], but within the 20 episodes, you will definitely know.”

11. Theo (Cody Christian)

“Cody is a great addition to the show. He’s a lone wolf desperately in need of a pack. Whether Scott and his friends can trust him is an entirely different thing. Theo is someone who has been in Beacon Hills before. This is kind of a return.”

Teen Wolf Season 5 premieres this summer on MTV.

On Fairy Tale Romances and Captain Swan

So, I was thinking about the concept of the “fairy tale” romance today. And how Once Upon a Time treats said romances.

If you look at the bulk of mainstay romances you see common threads like evidence of that supreme and mysterious power known as “True Love,” or we are just flat out told as an audience that the characters are in love.

Going back to season one, the main romantic relationship was between Snow and Charming (and Mary Margaret and David.) We, as an audience, knew that Snow and Charming were in love since Act I Scene I of the Pilot. And even though Mary Margaret and David had a rocky go of it, we knew that their True Love would ultimately win the day.

And it did. We got to watch a couple who was already technically in love (but didn’t know it) fall in love all over again. And it was sweet and romantic and a truly great love story. And I’d go so far as to say that no other characters were afforded such a sweeping romance.

Jenna and her history with Shana and Cece

Picture 1:

“I’ve thought about this moment so many times. Wondering what I would say to you if I ever saw you again. They’re all gonna be at the party. You know what you need to do. “

The party they’re talking about is the Masquerade Ball the night Mona is revealed as A in Season 2 Episode 25 “UnmAsked”

What did she do?

Did Shana empty the lair in case Mona was going be unmasked? Also she says ‘If I ever saw you again’, when did they meet?

How long have Jenna and Shana really known each other? Cape May?

Jenna’s been there, Cece’s been there and Shana grew up with Alison. It seems like these three know/knew a lot more than anyone else and have a lot more secrets. Maybe something happened in Cape May?

Picture 2:

I’ve missed you. They’ll all be together this Friday. You know what you need to do”

Here they mean the Lodge Fire in Season 3 Episode 24 A is For Answers. So Shana set the fire but did Jenna know about it?

I feel like Jenna knows everything, but is keeping quiet for her own safety.

Did Jenna and Shana both meet the twin? And Cece too?

Jenna and Cece seem to know everything. Jenna has always been aware of A, but then she became a target when A lured her into the fire and when she almost drowned. Does she know too much?

My Case Against Aria, Ezra and Byron, and The Plot to Kill a Mocking Girl.

DISCLAIMER: I am just a fan with too much time on my hands, I have not read the books, I have only ever followed the series since it’s first episode in NZ in 2010. I don’t seek to undermine any theories, or official canon’s and Also, I do not recommend you read this if you are not 100% Up to Date with the TV Series as it most definitely will contain spoilers.

Personally, I never considered following the theory that Aria was “A”, or even thought that she was involved in some way with everything that has happened.

I felt this was a cop out and a  very typical plot twist. It’s too much of a cliche for me, to have a main protagonist turn out to be the major twist in a mystery series. As well as heartbreaking. Plus it’s been done before. However I can’t deny that Aria has always been a driving force in the series. The whole plot has often revolved around her and in the beginning she was technically keeping the biggest secret. The show even started with her in the first place, in more than one way.

So, as we near the end of Season 5, and closer to the Big A Reveal; I’m starting to feel the hints are stronger than ever before.

My research, as well as being informed by some other theories; which I’ve never fully found convincing, is based on my own search for evidence that Aria had, or has it in her to have begun a plot of this kind. This means decoding conversations, and reading between the lines. Everything I will explain is based on my own observation, and my own theorising. I know there will definitely be explanations out there for something i’ve suggested in some way, but for now I want to suspend our belief in that not everything is as it seems, (is it EVER in Rosewood? Even Ella’s nice new boyfriend turned out to be a pedophile, wtf!).

The Plot To Kill Alison, (Me and My Boyfriend, aka, ‘03 Bonnie and Clyde)

Suppose Aria, and Ezra knew each other before that meeting in the Hollis Bar…

My theory involves a plot to get rid of Alison, orchestrated by Aria and Ezra the summer she disappeared. In which she may or may not have been inadvertently “killed” by Byron himself.

The motive’s are basic. For Aria - Alison was blackmailing her father and threatening to expose his affair, threatening her family structure.

For Ezra, we can assume that upon learning the truth about Alison, through Aria, that he may have felt betrayed. As we know, he liked Alison, they were even in a relationship (one of Alison’s many at the time) and lets face it, Ezra was a nerd. Alison was probably the best thing that ever came along, until he met Aria. The true Holly Golightly to his Paul Varjak. Aria was someone who was truly his equal, liked older men, (supposedly similar to her father) and was very literary- in an honest way. But, perhaps more powerfully- she was the Bonnie to his Clyde.

and for Byron, well… lets just say Alison clearly had no idea what HE was capable of.

We already know, according to Ezra, that Alison has the type of personality that would make her the perfect character for a book. He noted himself that Alison was a bit of fabulist (teller of tales), had the potential to be an actress and during their time together was his current muse. However, once he met Aria he found a superior replacement for inspiration, and so helped concoct a plot that would both; rid He and Aria of their troublesome friend and also play out perfectly for a Mystery Thriller. Or perhaps the biography of a one: Aria Montgomery.

There are many discrepancies in Alison’s full  account of that night, whether or not they are continuity errors or just the result of someone telling lies. Not everything is told exactly the way it is seen. Which is why I still suspect Byron as delivering the Killing Blow, despite Alison thinking she had settled their dispute. However, what Byron wouldn’t have known, is that it was not Alison, but Bethany Young he put an end to shortly after their heated exchange that fateful night.

This was an unforeseen result to the plan, as I believe Cece Drake would have been the perfect candidate to carry out the plan for Aria and Ezra. She was there the night Alison met Ezra in that bar, and Cece has her reasons to want to get back at Alison (like being expelled from UPENN) which proves motive for carrying out this deed and she is probably very easily paid off.

She may have been offered a deal of money (which Ezra has) and also an attractive reference to Hollis on behalf of Byron, via Aria. Plus,  Aria and Ezra are too smart to carry out the deed themselves. However, one thing Cece Drake can do better than anyone else, and perhaps even better than Alison herself is tell a Lie and more importantly: Keep a secret.

So with Byron having an even bigger secret to keep than his affair, the family promptly packs up their troubles and flee’s the drama of Rosewood, which leads them to Iceland.

How did I come to this Theory?

It all started when I was watching another one of my most favourite show’s, Grey’s Anatomy, and a throw away line (they always reveal far more than meets the eye) got my mind ticking. Dr Teddy Altman, delivered this pearl of wisdom: You have to go back to the beginning to understand the end.

So that’s exactly what I did.

Arguably, we could say there are two beginning’s. The night “Alison” died, and the day of her anniversary, aka, the Pilot episode, in which Aria and the Montgomery Family return to Rosewood. The reason I say this, is because It all starts with That Night, and they both appear in the first episode- However the events of that night aren’t revealed until the season 4 finale.

So let’s cast our minds back to the beginning and begin, shall we?

Season 1 : The Pilot

Got a Secret, Can You Keep It? (Don’t Trust Me).

In the opening scene we are greeted with the girls in the Barn. Listening to some (subtextual) music, 3oh!3′s Don’t Trust Me. They share some drinks and “Alison” is wearing some nice jewellery, she seems happy, they chat and we learn that friends tell each other secrets, and that’s what keeps them close.

A little while later, Aria wakes up, she rouses the other girls, but Alison and Spencer are missing: Enter Spencer, Aria asks where is Alison? Spencer says she’s gone and she’s looked everywhere for her, she even thinks she heard her scream. This is our First Clue Aria didn’t kill Alison, but that does’t mean she wasn’t involved, and we know Spencer wasn’t responsible because according to Alison’s account of that night Spencer was asleep when she got hit. Which means Spencer must have woken up again that night and gone looking for Ali, and heard Someone Else being killed.

Flashforward, and it’s been a year. The Montgomery’s are home from Iceland and this is where things get interesting.

A Stranger in a Strange Land

For the most part of this episode Aria seems like she is lost, unsure of herself and not all that pleased to be back. She’s definitely uncertain of EVERYTHING, she also maintains a very observational demeanor throughout the episode.

Her first day of school she bumps into Emily as she enters school who says the last time she saw Aria she “had a pink stripe in her hair”, Aria quips about her family supporting self discovery, and wanting you to be yourself but implies that this is contradicted by her not knowing who she is. - Think self discovery, insecurity and teenage angst. Not Amnesia…

Next they’re both in class. Aria is asking questions about the girls as they enter the room. She learns that, yes! That beautiful new blonde girl is Hanna, the new It Girl, and where there’s Hanna, there’s Mona (coincidentally Big A’s Arch Nemesis, we’ll find out why later), Spencer enter’s the room and she learns Hanna and Spencer are “friendly, but not friends”. Emily has already mentioned that it wasn’t just Aria that they lost touch with, the whole group basically fell apart. Class begins, Aria gets out her folder and is the only person taking notes, for quite a while… Could she be recording the information she’s gathered about her former friends? Shortly after, Mr Fitz writes his name on the board, turns around notices Aria, the girl he met in the bar (or did he?). “Holy Crap” he exclaims, and a second later Aria get’s The First Text From A. Who we can assume at this moment is Mona, for season 1 and 2 anyway.

Somebody That I Used To Know (More of You).

Aria Meets Ezra.

There is so much about this encounter and all the ones after it between Ezra and Aria that just don’t seem natural to me or have always seemed really odd, and if you ask me it reveals a hell of a lot more than we ever bothered to understand. Let me take you back:

The first few minutes into the show, after the flashback, sets up this relationship.

Aria takes Mike to Lacrosse, asks what time he finishes, he says Six. She looks at the clock, it says 4:15, plenty of time to Meet Someone perhaps? She looks at her phone as if there’s a message there she received earlier, could it be from Ezra? She’s back in town, he knows about it, and has asked that they Pick up where they left off… it’s been a year since that night and Aria left the country before their fling ever really took off! They must have a lot to catch up on.

So why not have a reunion somewhere inconspicuous like the Hollis Bar and Grill, where they first met perhaps some time while Byron was working?

We see Aria sitting at the Bar. with Ezra sitting a  couple seats away from her. This could be for 2 reasons- they don’t want to appear to know each other, or… they’re indulging in a little bit of Role Play: ie, the time they first met.

Aria is looking at a poster of Alison, who would now be 16 and we know it’s the present day (not a flashback). Ezra asks if she’s okay and she explains she feels jet lagged as she just got back from Europe, he asks where and she says Iceland. To which he responds “I spent some time in Reykjavik” - the Capital of Iceland, and then went to Amsterdam. Either, he is subtly hinting that he went looking for her after that summer, or they are playing a game of “get to know each other”. She asks if he goes to Hollis, and he says he’s just graduated, and is about to start his first teaching job. This could be Aria deciphering whether or not he chose to continue his studies…or she may be really trying to get to know him again, it has been a year after all.

They keep talking, she says she’d like to major in English, which is what Ezra is planning to teach and that she also writes, and so far it’s mostly personal (like a journal, or biography perhaps?). Ezra then goes on to explain he tried writing once, but it didn’t get very far, and that she was lucky- if she was writing for herself it’s truly a passion. He then asks if maybe she’d let him read some of hers… and she seems surprised he’d want to. He then goes in for the close: “You’re smart, you’ve travelled, you have great taste in music and i’d like to know more about you” She agrees, and next thing they’re in the bathroom kissing- EXTREMELY Passionately!

Not a kiss I would be giving a stranger, and not necessarily a conversation I would be having with a stranger. Her writing is personal, and she’s already offering it to someone else to read? Either this is a re-enactment of the day they first met, for shits and giggles, or they really are strangers, who just seem to be able to fall wildly in love with each other. Love at first sight… so romantic, and juvenile - something Aria tries hard not to be, and something we hope a college graduate, teacher aged man, not to be. There’s more than meets the eye in this relationship.

However, personally for me the next scene is far more revealing still: To this day I have felt that the bathroom scene is far too intense for two people who’ve “just met” Aria even stops mid-kiss to seemingly take in Ezra’s brilliance, and she kisses him like a man she’s missed, for a long time. It’s very Romeo and Juliet, and all Forbidden Love like. We even have a wonderfully subtextual lyric playing over the scene in which we hear the words

“So it goes without saying that I’m hooked on you And by now I’m out of mind with this self abuse. I guess I should have looked out for myself, I guess that I could have found someone else. But I never met anyone, Who’s loving made me so damn crazy.” End Scene.

You Know What They Say About Hope Don’t You? (it breeds eternal misery).

A wonderful quote, from Spencer Hastings, later on in the episode.

It seems significant to me because we have two important characters full of hope in this episode.

Now this is small, but it’s delightfully subtextual. After we’re introduced to Hanna and Mona’s shopping habits we a have small moment between Aria and Byron in the car. He tells Aria that he loves her, he loves her mother and that he made a mistake, one he will have to live with for the rest of his life. He also hopes that someday she can forgive him, to which she replies, I hope so too. He drives away and Aria has her flashback about the day she saw him kissing Meredith in the back of his car.

Yes, yes, he’s talking about the affair. But what If he murdered somebody?

What if Aria know’s more about her father than we ever thought? Ella talks about how well Aria and He were getting along while they were away and Byron says he felt like they bonded, Ella says they had to because they didn’t know anyone else.

Earlier in the Episode Aria says to Byron she is still keeping his secret. Perhaps Byron confessed something else to Aria?

Either way, we have two character’s here who could definitely be very miserable. Especially if one is not intending to forgive the other, ahem, Aria.

I’m Still That Girl

Aria’s next scene, is the next day after school. She’s walking back to Ezra’s class and they have a discussion about their relationship. This to me, needs to be read between the lines, so lets dissect.

She enters his class, happy to see him.  Ezra’s says, immediately after she enters, “you told me you went to Hollis”, to which Aria responds with, “No I said I was thinking about majoring in English” and that it’s true. The next few lines are revealing still: Ezra is trying to let Aria down by saying “I think you’re amazing, when I first met you I thought, who is this girl!” Aria smiles, puts her hand on his and says i’m still that girl, nothing’s changed. But Ezra says it has, he’s her teacher now.

If you ask me, it’s been what, 3 days? How much could have changed about her since then… of course she’s still that girl. Unless, he’s referring to another time, The Girl He Met A Year Ago. Who could potentially have been in college by now. Who knows, perhaps when they first met she lied about her age too… leading Ezra to believe she was older now. These girls love to mislead everybody, especially if they had Ali as a mentor.

Aria isn’t having it, and she says she knows this just can’t be all on her, He feels like this is right for them too. But he’s adamant that it’s not. He says they just can’t and leaves.

Ezra’s a smart guy, he doesn’t want to put himself through something like this again.. after Alison, it’s just another can of worms. However, I don’t think he can truly resist.

Aria The Outsider

Aria’s next scene is at night on her porch, talking with Emily again, they speak about their both receiving messages form “A”, they wonder if it’s from Alison but Emily says we know she’s dead don’t we? Aria seems startled and hurriedly agrees. More dissociative conversation occurs, in which Aria says that she’s grown up here her whole life but say’s she feels like an outsider.

I think Aria, coming back to Rosewood, is very suspicious of everything here now. She makes it clear how she doesn’t relate to anyone and how foreign she feels. It’s almost as if she wants to remain Anonymous, or is purposefully avoiding close relationships with others, except Ezra of course. This gives me the impression She Has Something To Hide.

The next day is Alison’s funeral and Aria is standing in a Stairwell, almost secretly. Ezra approaches her and asks “was she a friend of yours”, Aria is surprised he cares and says yes, she was one of her best friends. Ezra says he is sorry, Aria asks for Alison? Or for being a jerk? Ezra says “both”, and she thanks him. Aria responds with saying she would never want to do anything that would get him in trouble, and kisses him on the cheek and says “goodbye Ezra”. This feels an awful lot like a break up between two people who might have known eachother for a long time as these are very familiar interactions.

Ezra clearly isn’t ready to let go, and he grabs Aria, embraces her and kisses her passionately and dramatically. She kisses him slower still, runs her fingers through his hair and runs her hand down his face, they look at eachother lingeringly and she leaves as he watches her walk away.

How intense. Far too Intense for people who have just met if you ask me…

The episode closes with The Funeral and the arrival of Jenna Marshall, my 2nd favourite character, and the kicker, taunting, group text from A.

“I’m still here bitches, and I know everything”.

Update:

This Got Very long and complicated in the end. But, either way my theory is starting to revolve around Aria and Ezra being in this together.

With the whole reveal that Charles is A, he could be Ezra, or Ezra’s Twin, Aria could be dating both men, thinking it’s just Ezra- or she could be dating both.

Ezra wrote a mini biography on Aria, which stated she was an oddball, liked worldly men and had a tendency to date more than one man at a time (we’ve seen her do this in a lot of ways).

Here is an offshoot of this Theory I posted on IMDB, it goes into an A Hierarchy, with Wren as the main Suspect, but that role could easily switched to Ezra, It render’s Melissa’s role useless though…

Anyway, I don’t think we’ll ever truly know how this works until it’s all revealed, and that is a bloody GOOD thing! No TV show has captivated my imagination like this, or been so unpredictable. Bravo.
