what is end game

The 100 finale

I know that many people are not okay because of what the writers did with the finale.I am not happy myself, but only because of the long waiting for the next season. However, I am not really angry at the writers because even if it brings us pain and suffering this is the story that they are telling. I am scared that next season Bellamy and Clarke will meet again, but they are not going to be the same characters and they will never have this close connection between each other. Maybe new people will be more important now for both of them. I am scared that possibly Bellamy will be with Raven , Echo or someone else ( which is not bad is just not what I want :D ).I do believe that Bellarke is possibly end game in a way, but what happens in between the time before they get together is important. I don’t want the good building and bond of their relationship to be ruined (because let’s face it this is CW show everybody is hooking up between each other. We had this with Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries and many others. They just run out of ideas :D). I hope that they are not going to turn one of my favourite tv shows in something that I will not want to watch ever again.

PS:

I just had this idea that Bellamy is in the sky, Clarke is on the ground and Octavia is under the ground. In a way is really poetic they are like Zeus , Poseidon and Hades ruling three different kingdoms (kind of,).

Okay, a couple of things.

One, I love Dru and Jaime together and I’m scared he’s going to break her heart. If he does I hope he dies a slow agonizing death.

Two, Diana and Gwyn!!!!! That date! They’re so cute together, I ship them together.

Three, Livvy! Oh god. She’s growing on me, I don’t want her to knowing what’s going o happen though a part of me hopes I’m wrong, I love her now, curse you Cassie.

Four, the dance. The //dance// Kieran what is your end game?? Those three give me headaches, but I love them for it. At least it’s interesting and not a complicated love triangle and BlackRoseTriad seems even more likely now.

Five, ding dong Eric is dead!! Yay! The riders? Not so much. And Kieran was beloved by the court? Our sour faced Kieran? What other secrets do you have Kier??

What do you get when you merge Giant Pants Guy and Dan’s Instagram outfit? You get a bad idea. A very bad idea.

Delirious doesn't want Evan to leave
  • Evan: Guys I'm gonna end this game I'm gonna go right now so-
  • Delirious: NOOOOO
  • Evan: I'm kidding!
  • Delirous: NOO You're not ending this game!
  • Evan: I'm joking! I'm joking!

Sometimes I wonder if a younger and less life-weary Sans was ever so excitable and passionate that he did the Papyrus-style googly eyes too.

Bonus googly eye of death:

anonymous asked:

I joined a DnD campaign but when I told my parents they told me to quit because they say it's a demonic game linked to witchcraft. Was Dungeons and Dragons linked to that stuff at any point? Like in the 80's or 90's when my parents were young that lead them to believe that?

Actually, yeah! People tried to blame D&D for all kinds of crazy stuff in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s.

This led to one of the classics of D&D media, the Dead Ale Wives’ sketch:

Which shows just how silly the association between D&D and “evil stuff omg!!” really is.

Mod storytime: My own mom actually had some reservations when I started playing - she had attended MSU around the time of Dallas Egbert’s death, so it was understandable. So I asked if we could have the games at our house, where she could watch and see what we were doing. She agreed, and after the first game had absolutely no problem with me playing. She told me later that, as a mother, it was incredibly nice to see her kid safe at home (or a friend’s house), telling stories and eating pizza with a group of other kids, instead of out on the street doing God-knows-what.

In fact, she ended up liking the game so much that she now has her own character, a barbarian queen!

What I Read This Week

(14/5/17)

I’d to apologize again for not doing this last week! I was really sick and had a few exams, so I didn’t have a lot of time to make lists!

For the Record by DasWarSchonKaputt, Not Rated, 10k
Viktor Nikiforov, sports journalist and retired figure skater, interviews Olympic Champion Yuuri Katsuki for an exclusive piece. So, so, so amazing. I am truly speechless after reading this, it’s incredible. In my top 10.

Just Hold On (We’re Going Home) by kiaronna, Mature, 23k
Where Yuuri remembers the banquet, Viktor forgets, and Yakov Feltsman has his own plans. SO AMAZING!! You have to read this!

Sugar High by arekushia, ryoseirui, Explicit, 38k (WIP)
Yuuri Katsuki is a college student struggling to pay rent, tuition, and just about everything else. When he sets up an account for a sugar daddy dating app, he doesn’t expect anything to come out of it. Instead, he meets Victor Nikiforov, and so begins their walk on the fine line between their physical relationship and something more. Just updated!! One of my favourite sugar daddy fics!

Once You Go Greek by Defiant-Dreams (baterina_1234), Mature, 16k (WIP)
A fraternity fic wherein Yuuri and Viktor are in rival frats, but they fall in love anyway. Oh man, that update KILLED me!! I LOVE this fic!

Welcome to Detroit Dental and Orthodontics by stanzas, Teen, 11k
Victor stops the car, turns off the engine, and Yuri rolls out the car with the attitude of every slightly inconvenienced teenager. Yuri flips his shades up, stares in disbelief at the sign in front of the well-manicured lawn squished between two old barber shops: DETROIT DENTAL AND ORTHODONTICS.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” he says. LOOOOOOOOVE this fic!

Where They Are by ingthing, Explicit, 11k (WIP)
They find out things about themselves and step up to each other. 🔥🔥🔥

Masquerade by Ashida, Explicit, 87k (WIP)
“Just say the word.” came the whisper as Victor stepped close, behind them Yuuri was aware of guns out and at the ready, of confused men and questioned loyalties, here Victor was offering, and Yuuri was too selfish to say no.
“Ok.” Yuuri smiled as this game of masquerade came to an end, what would happen now, he didn’t know, he would probably die, his family would come after him and try to put a knife in his back or a bullet between his eyes, none of it mattered, because together they would fight, and the rest of the world would finally burn. Every update of this fic kills me in the best way possible! Sexy, intense, and always riveting. Must read!

dear true love by cityboys, Teen, 72k
Victor is a writer pretending to be on a break; Yuuri is a pianist pretending to not be on a break. They meet, somehow, in the backwaters of Saga Prefecture, Japan. That ending was so lovely, I really enjoyed reading this fic! One of my fave music AUs!

#Katsudamn by lucycamui, Explicit, 5.9k
Victor surprises Yuuri with a trip to an adult store and gets a little more than he bargained for. Or maybe that was the plan all along. Spicy!!!

Here’s to another week of great fic reading! Be sure to give the authors some love!

Ok, here we fucking go:

  • thelostspecial.com has existed since the 31st (I believe, as just a solid black website). Yesterday, a header image appeared of Sherlock sitting across from Moriarty in TRF, with several messages hidden inside. Over the course of several hours, pages were added and removed, discoverable only by manually editing the url.
  • The message above was hidden in the source code of the page.
  • 2 messages hidden in the header were “MISS ME?” in black on the TV and “40″ hidden in the wallpaper. The third alteration was a partial reflection of a creepy elephant. More on that in a second.
  • Some /messages only led to clues to figure out final pages. For example, /elephant led to a message that read “WHICH ONE?” /mary led to “Be more specific,” /marymoran to “Who?”, and /marymorstan to the cap of Mary with devil horns.
  • /tjlc and /johnlock loaded pages, unlike incorrect guesses, which would just be black with the header. At these 2 pages, an image w traffic cones read “404 Error” (4x04?)
  • At /cluedo, we got this image:
  • Many images were associated with character names and the episode finales, Moriarty-heavy, these were early on so it may have just been helping us figure out how to use the site.
  • At /black, there was a comment box where we could briefly communicate, which they seemed to interact with–someone mentioning norbury led to a /norbury page, for example, and I believe this is how they figured out we were “Stumped on 40” and, at the new /ineedaclue, told us “Go to the source. The real source.”
  • Other oddities included /januscars (cap of the logo), /old (the victorian baker street mantelpiece), /new (a hotel room bath in niagara falls), /coffee (Sherlock in ASIP drinking coffee with “WRONG WAY” superimposed over it), /dymm (moriarty on the picadilly circus screens), there are too many to cover here tbh.
  • At /solveme/, this message reads:

Which translates to the Henry V quote, I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start. [The game’s afoot.]

  • So what’s with 13.9.16? Oddly enough, this is the day that the elephant, /murderousmary, was executed. The image that appeared at /murderousmary is here, it’s a smidge disturbing. Hmm… which elephant?
  • More of a stretch,13.9.16 is also the date that Mark trashed a Grimm’s Fairy tales Reichenbach theory in the papers, and Moriarty says “every fairy tale needs a good old fashioned villain” at minute 40 of TRF.
  • CANON references to 40, which seems closer to accurate, appear in TFP and The Lost Special. There’s contingency over what the 40th story is, we’re between The Valley of Fear and The Second Stain (and the Red Headed League??) at the moment, which are all relevant.
  • TFP: In three days, on Monday next, matters will be ripe, and the Professor, with all the principal members of the gang, will be in the hands of the police. Then will come the greatest criminal trial of the century, the clearing up of over forty mysteries, and the rope for all of them–but if you move at all prematurely, you understand, they may slip out of our hands, even at the last moment.
  • THE LOST SPECIAL: A telegram sent at 6:40 reads ““To James Bland, Superintendent, Central L. & W. C., Liverpool. - Special passed here at 4:52, well up to time. - Dowster, St. Helens.“it’s the telegram that says the train was on schedule and on the appropriate line, right before it disappeared” (from @edwardhardwicke)
  • So far, the message in the source code reads:
  • You see, but you do not observe.
I see you like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start.
Murderous Mary. (Every fairytale needs a good old fashioned villain.)
    XXX.
  • Hmm. What appeared at /xxx, at the very end of the game?

Most pages have now disappeared, along with the header, leaving a mostly black site once again.

Take it as you will.

An illustration of a future tidbit of the movie’s story.

Since graduation four years have passed, Yugi as expected wins at the world game contest, and begins walking the achieved dream path of a game creator. Yugi’s game is given a high valuation, so what ends up happening is Kaiba Corporation embarking on joint development.

Games and the illusion of choice

We finished our session of d&d about an hour ago, and then I gave a ride home to our dm. And we were talking about a lot of things, including the premise of Dungeons and Dragons. He explained that d&d is a world exploration game with a story line, and that the dm is in charge of running that story and taking into account the choices our characters make.

I mentioned that, as a child, I had a choose your own adventure book. It was about a group of kids who find this alien creature thing in a pond. When I first read it, I went through it like you’re supposed to. Then I went back to the last choice I made and changed it, to see what ending I’d get instead. After that, I started from the beginning and looked into every choice I could make to see what affect it had on the story. I thought it fascinating the way one path of choices gives you one ending, but I different path can give you the same ending, but with different events in the middle. I learned how every decision you make adds to the story, and I was never disappointed with the end result.

Now there’s this game called Untill Dawn. I know Markiplier and jacksepticeye played it. It’s based around the butterfly effect, the idea that every decision influences the way the story goes. But as I watched mark play it, I realized that this wasn't true. The decisions you make don’t change the story, just who dies. Say your character is running through the forest. You see two paths, the left one an overgrown shortcut, the right a clear path that takes much longer. Say you choose the right path. Nothing happens and the story continues as planned. But if you take the left, a bear jumps out and eats you. The story still continues, but with a different character. So the choice to go left didn’t drastically change the story, in fact it barely did at all. And maybe youll get an alternate ending, but not because of your decisions.

See there’s this thing with cons that I’ve learned from tv and books. To run a truly successful con, you let the target think they are in control. You let them think that any idea they have is theirs, though you planned it out. With my cyoa book, every choice I made freely. I knew somewhat of the affect it would have. So when I got to the end, I was happy with the ending because everything I did led up to it. I had that control. But now games like Untill Dawn, Mass Effect, and probably any Telltale games have limited endings. So what you choose really doesn’t affect much.

I have a great respect for DMs. They create a beautiful fantasy world that you want to explore every inch of. But there is still a story you should follow. Yes I could easily wreck the game and do whatever I wanted. One of our campaigns is in the underdark, but I could easily leave to explore the surface. But then I would never experience the story. So I try and follow it along, because I know it will show me even more about this strange new place. But DMs can never plan for everything. They have this one path that they try to keep us on. So they have to give us this illusion that we are in control of what we do. DMs give us choices of how we want to do things, and I think it’s fucking incredible. They have to plan for what they want us to do, and find ways to hint, and yet still be able to completely improvise on the spot.

It just reminds me of this moment from Critical Role. Matt Mercer is DMing his party on a quest. The party stops at a village and decide to go into the local temple. Matt whips out a map he’d drawn up beforehand. One of the players commented “You drew the temple because you knew that’s where we’d go?” And Matt replied:

“I drew the entire city, because I didn’t.”

The woman he loves

Okay, okay, my week has been very GoT- centric so… I realised something. Maybe it’s old news but here I am.

This dialogue has been haunting me the whole week:

Bronn: How do you want to go?

Jaime: In the arms of the woman I love.

After a very quick search, I found people estimate who Jamie can possibly mean. The usual question: Cersei or Brienne. Actually, there are many people thinking Jaime X Brienne is not going to happen and they are simply friends. Cersei is the only one Jaime really loves romantically. ( Personally, I can’t see the romance for the life of me, I only see lust, but anyway.)

However, I just realised: Jaime didn’t speak exactly of what he ‘d imagine an ideal death to be like.

He actually experienced such a moment. Remember the bath scene:

If I faint, pull me out. I don’t intend to be the first Lannister to die in a bathtub - Jaime to Brienne

After a very emotionally charged confession, Jaime indeed passed out due to the pain of his amputation and exhaustion. And Brienne indeed catches him and calls for help.

Doesn’t this feel like a death in the arms of a woman he loves? When Jaime said he wished he died in the arms of the woman he loves, he wasn’t just imagining the ideal possibility, he was wishing he’d die in the way he nearly died in Brienne’s arms that night. We haven’t seen a similar scene with Cersei, have we?
