what do i tag this as we just don't know

For @themutantunderground

The Gifted AU: John, in the process of tracking his brother, James, finds himself face to face with him.

“Gee, Mister. You must know Wedge Antilles really well. What’s your name?” “Luke Skywalker, at your service!” — Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron Special

I’m genuinely surprised at the lack of Internet based AUs on this site so I came up with some

  • ‘so you’re the asshole that took my username’ AU
  • 'your URL is really similar to my friend’s and I accidentally messaged you’ AU
  • 'whoops that was supposed to be on anon’ AU
  • 'my self-esteem is shit right now and I noticed you just went through my entire face tag, tell me I’m pretty’ AU
  • 'you were like my first follower, why are you still here’ AU
  • 'I just recognized you from across the store and I don’t know what to do, my training didn’t prepare me for this’ AU
  • 'I think half of my anons are from the same person and I’m trying to track you down’ AU
  • 'we both ship the same obscure pairing, let’s get married right now but first let’s share headcanons’ AU
  • 'I was looking at my new followers and I think you were my crush that moved away in fourth grade’ AU

What if Nightmare actually had super strength to some extent since gaining his dark powers and he didn’t even need his tendrils to pick people up?

(… oh my gosh imagine him just breaking stuff all the time by accident like pulling doors out of their frames)

  • Ravenclaw: Happy Birthday, Jesus, even though this probably wasn't your real birthday, and this was just a way for the Christians to bitch with the Pagans because bitching with the Jews just wasn't good enough for them anymore.
  • Gryffindor: This is why we wanted to sit with Slytherin.
  • Ravenclaw: Bullshit, Slytherin would make this worse than me.
  • Gryffindor: You're right, I'm going to go sit with Hufflepuff.
  • Ravenclaw: And join them in all the carols?
  • Gryffindor: Fuck you.

I owe the life I live today to fandom. It’s a bit complicated.

I am an artist in her late twenties, working as an illustrator full time (meaning somehow I actually convinced people to pay me for drawing all day). I own a decently sized flat in a big city and while I struggle with mental health issues, I am coping and getting better. I get to see the world and work with international teams and have close friends I can count on. And that’s all because I was brave enough as a teen to post some fanwork on the internet.

Let me explain myself some more.

this is a PSA to fanfic writers that a “gen” tag is supposed to mean a LACK of romance so tagging your romance fic gen because it also includes friendships makes exactly zero sense

please, for the love of all that is holy some of us just want to read genfic and don’t want shipfic and when you use the gen tag on ao3 for shipfic that gets really difficult and really, really frustrating

I was going to make something really nice for your birthday, @markiplier, and I spent hours working- working on a drawing of your face, and then one of Chica, and then I tried one in an Animal Crossing style for some reason, and then at one point I think I had a Darkiplier phase- but everything just looked horrible.

Then I panicked and drew a pigeon.

Sorry Mark.

I hope you like the pigeon anyway. His name is Henry.

Dear harmos,

Please don’t ruin this for Mani by saying insane things and alienating her fanbase from the others. She needs all the support she can get and it needs to come by way of her dancing prowess and overall presence on the show. You can be supportive of Normani without demeaning other people’s favorites okay?

anonymous asked:

Why do we even have name tags? At my old job EVERYONE kept dropping the "A" off the end of my name and yes, my name minus the A is still a name but it's not my name. If I called people on it I got "oh it's just a nickname" well you don't know me well enough to nickname me because if you did you would know I HATE that name with a burning passion. I can't even begin to imagine what a nightmare it is for trans people with their preferred name on their tag. People suck and you all deserve better.

I tend to ignore people until they say my name correctly. I hate people shortening my name because they are too lazy to say the whole name. I had one that did t get the hint and complained to the manager that I was rude by not answering. He called my name (correctly) I looked at him and he said “are you ignoring this customer?”
Me “I’m not ignoring anyone”
Customer: “I’ve been calling you”
Me: “you were calling someone else. You weren’t saying my name”
Customer: I was calling (short version of my name) and you ignored me"
Me: “that’s not my name so I thought you wanted someone else. How can I help you”

He complained that he was calling my name so I called him “BOB” the rest of the time. He said “my names Robert not bob!” And I told him “my name is Rodney not Rod” and he huffed and left.

Don’t shorten people’s names without their permission. It pisses me off and it really pisses my wife off. It’s not her fault her mom gave her an unpronounceable name and you don’t get to shorten it without permission.

I FINALLY did some doodles from our teenage Vento Aureo AU with @ayami-neesan ( while she already did a full color drawing and an e n t i r e comic about it OTL )

it’s really just an AU we like to talk about between us with a bunch of our personal experience with being a teen™ and other self-indulgent things so it might not make a lot of sense but anyway

“We don’t need karaoke or to be drunk to- to be silly, trust me. We just did it in the photoshoot, trust me, it goes down between us.”  [x]

  • Tumblr: We're celebrating pride month!!! We're so supportive of all lgbt+ identities look we even have a bunch a flags scrolling on the symbol wow aren't we great?
  • Tumblr: *puts lgbt+ content as "sensitive"*

I’m really trying to get over this art slump, drew some TAU today to try and help me through. Get into the drawing mode and whatnot.

I dunno. :V

(17) Ignis’ pick-up lines.

Gladio: Iggy, there’s something I need to take off my chest.
Ignis: I sure hope you mean your shirt.
Gladio: wat.

The end of every episode kind of feels like you just had some nasty kind of sex with a dude you met in the back of the bar, and it was overall kind of disappointing so you’re just sitting around now wondering what to do now with a bit of awkward small talk going on. And you say it should never happen again but he’s the only dude that’s into that one kink you’re into so you know you’ll end up coming back next week to do the same tiring thing all over again

So basically the tag feels like we had one big awkward orgy and now we’re all just sitting here confused and not sure what to say, I don’t know where I’m going with this comparison so I’ll stop now

Don’t ship…

For fuck’s sake, if i see one more post

“don’t ship children that’s disgusting”

“they’re only children how can you”

“don’t sexualize them they’re minors”

  • First of all, in the movie their ages range from 12 to 14 i think, which is already older than the book version where they’re like 10 (also have you read the book? Do you know how not ok that stuff is??)
  • Having a crush as a preteen/ teenager is not “disgusting” or “not ok” or however you call it (never had a crush on someone in middleschool?)
  • If you immediately assume that every ship is sexual then i have news for you, you are the problem
  • Another thing: take a fucking joke, as long as ships are NOT sexualized, comedic representation of the ship or the circumstances are ok
  • Last thing, i don’t get why you take the time, to comment on said posts, just let people enjoy something, your comments are SO unnecessary
  • (And with something i mean innocent childhood crushes with no explicit content )
  • (Oh yeah, do you also go to the billverly and benverly tags to bitch about this or is that ok for you, because if it is then we have a case of homophobia on our hands, cause guess what, sexualizing gay relationships is homophobic)

You know, for a fandom so full of amazing writers and creators you are all so quick to jump and judge the showrunners and the writers like you don’t know how the process works.

When you write a certain storyline you do it because you think that’s the best road to take to tell your story. And sometimes your readers question it, because you could have taken a different road, or maybe they think they can do better than you. But you know that’s not true, because it’s your story, and you know you are being very clever about it, you know that everything you do, you do for a reason.

And sometimes when you come up with a scene, you get so exicted, because it fits so perfect, sometimes you feel like it’s the best dang thing you’ve ever come up with, and you see a dozen of different roads to go from there, and you can’t wait to share it with your readers, you can’t wait to take them on that journey. But it’s a complex thing. Sometimes you gotta focus on one thing before you can go to the next. Sometimes you have to spend hours or even days developing storylines you don’t even want to develop until you can jump to the good stuff, but you know that’s what you gotta do. Fore the sake of the story. For the bigger picture.

And sometimes that’s what our showrunners and writers do, too. Sometimes they come up with scenes they think are so great, so exciting and they can’t wait to share it with us. And even when we don’t like it, they are proud of it because it’s their hard work put into it, and they too think they are being clever about it, keeping in mind the oh so important bigger picture, knowing it will all make sense later, even when we can’t see that.

And sometimes they mess up, sometimes they get so caught up in the story they don’t see how someone might get hurt in the process. And sometimes they just get tangled in that annoying part where they have to develop part of the story that no one wants to see developed, sometimes not even them. But it has to be done, to complete the picture, to have everything set into place later, because it’s a growing process, that never stops, and it’s a complex puzzle with so many pieces, but someone has to put them all together.

And the ones that are putting it together are just people. Just like you. And sometimes they will make mistakes, and sometimes people will get hurt, and sometimes they will infuriate you so much, you will want to just unleash all your anger on them, but before you do remember they are just like you. Writing a story, taking paths you might not have taken but it doesn’t mean they won’t reach the same goal.
