I’m all for gender equality, trans rights, and lbgtqia equality but I get so irritated when people make a post about male-female dating situations or posts about how a man should treat a woman and someone comes an comments “and vice versa” or “all genders, not just cis___” or “goes for gay couples too.” Etc. like, everyone’s lived experience is different. Everyone’s truth is different. Stop policing posts just because you feel like they should include your demographic. What if the post was about someone’s specific situation and it just happens to resonate with thousands of people? What if the person is straight and only has experience with heteronormative dating situations? People can only give what they have. If you don’t see what you want represented in a post, MAKE YOR OWN! Especially if you yourself are trans, gay, or feel passionate about standing up for all genders based on personal experience or conviction. It’s not your place to edit or police someone else’s story, opinion, contribution to this site, etc. just say what you want to say on your own accord. That’s what this site is about anyway, right?
What do you think about a 14 year old girl dating a 17 year old guy? I'll be 15 in August, if that makes a difference.
