DREAM-QUEST

PEREGRINATE ENDLESS HYBORIAN PLAINS,
ALL COVERED DEEP IN STYGIAN MISTS,
A MILLION UNHOLY THINGS THAT ARE NOT REAL AND CAN’T EXIST.
I WANDER THE ENDLESS OUTER REALMS,
IN SOME SINISTER URGE I CAN’T RESIST.
EVIIL HAUNTER OF THE STARS, FOLLWING ME,
ALL THE WAY TO MARS.
NAKED FEAR HAS LEFT MY SOUL FULL OF PAINFUL SCARS.
ANOTHER DREAM-QUEST TO THE UNKNOWN WORLD,
EACH AND EVERY NIGHT,
WESTERN LANDS CALLING ME WITH ALL THEIR MIGHT.
SO I HAVE TO TRAVEL FURTHER ON,
STARRY, SHINING WONDERS ALL ALONG.

(FOR H. P. LOVECRAFT, ROBERT E: HOWARD AND
A NOTE TO UNCLE BILL.)
