I need to move in a month and a half, but fund are really tight. If you’ve got some cash to spare and want some dumb art to wear or put on your walls, please consider checking out my redbubble shop. You’d be supporting someone who needs some help, but also getting something in return.
The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous hotel from the fictional Republic of Zubrowka between the first and second World Wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
It was raining, I was going about 50 miles an hour as I went into a corner, did some wrong steering, wheels went out from me, and suddenly, “Whoo”, skidded off the road, slammed into a ditch and got catapulted 50 feet through the air. Little particles of glass and debris were stinging my face as I flew. And for a second, there was just total silence. Just… Then BAM! The bike crashed to the ground, exploded and caught on fire, and then I smashed into the side of a hill with my face. Anyway, two joggers ran up and started digging out all the dirt that was jammed inside my mouth and my nose and my ears. My brain had stopped, and my heart had stopped, so technically I was dead at this point. They did all the procedures exactly right, as a result of which I’m still alive.
Was stuck at home today because I scraped and bruised my knee pretty terribly and I got bored so I decided to watercolor a Wes Anderson still.
This one’s from Moonrise Kingdom. I wanted to paint the still of Suzy Bishop looking into her binoculars from the lighthouse but someone’s already done that so I picked this still instead…because of Suzy’s cat.
