werewolf derek

“We both tried to grab at the last copy of that desired book at the same time and had a tug of war.” (from this post)

Sterek ficlet, T, ~1.6k words. Basically, I was going to just do a tiny little drabble as a warm-up for working on one of my WIPs, and then I was having too much fun with it to stop.

(Btw, if you couldn’t tell, I totally made up the book series in question. Any resemblance to any actual book is completely coincidental.)

It’s definitely some kind of torture that on the day the seventh and final Path of Wolves novel comes out, Stiles still has to go to school like it’s not the most important day of the year or anything.

And okay, so it’s not like anyone else in Beacon Hills has even heard of these books except Scott, and then only because Stiles can’t shut up about them, but still. Stiles spends the entire day practically vibrating out of his skin with the anticipation. He’s pretty sure he hasn’t taken in a word any of his teachers has said today. The only reason he doesn’t try to make a break for it during lunch is that he can’t afford another detention on his record, and even so, he’s still sorely, sorely tempted to risk it. In the end, he has to get Lydia to hide his car keys from him.

(He was going to ask Scott to do it, but Scott would have caved as soon as Stiles started begging, and Stiles is definitely not above begging, so Lydia it is.)

The instant the final bell rings, though, Stiles is out of there, flying across the parking lot and gunning the Jeep. The bookstore probably only ordered a few copies, and if Stiles isn’t holding one of them by the time he leaves, somebody’s about to get murdered.

Not that he actually expects any competition, but it’s better not to let these things go to chance. He already messed up once by procrastinating on pre-ordering until they were sold out; he didn’t think it was possible for a Path of Wolves novel to be sold out. He was wrong, and now he’s paying for it by having to physically go to the bookstore to get it.

Either Stiles vastly overestimated how many copies the store was going to order, or else he vastly underestimated how many people in Beacon Hills read these books, because when he skids to a stop in front of the New Releases shelf, there’s only one copy left. One beautiful, perfect hardcover copy.

Lucky for him, one copy is enough.

Except that when he grabs ahold of it, someone else does, too.

For a long second, Stiles can’t even believe what he’s seeing. Another hand, on his book. Another hand that’s not letting go, even though Stiles has already clearly and unambiguously grabbed it by the spine and isn’t letting go, either.

Stiles turns his head incredulously to get a look at this usurper, and it’s Derek Hale. As in, made-of-muscles, leather-wearing lacrosse captain Derek Hale.

Until this moment, Stiles wasn’t even sure Derek could read, and now he’s trying to steal Stiles’ obscure eight-hundred-page fantasy novel. What.

So for the meetcute prompts could you do number 7 please? 💖

This was so much fun! Thanks for the prompt! And, as always, also on ao3!

Truth be told, Derek had never actually kissed anyone before. Not really.

Sure, he had kissed Paige on the cheek once or twice back in their sophomore year, kissing her farewell when he dropped her off back home after one of their handful of dates. And he might have kissed the back of her hand while asking if she wanted to dance at the winter formal, but that was all.

They had only gone out a few times, gone to a few dances together, but that was before she had officially come out. A few days before winter break, she had sat Derek down and explained that while she’d had a really nice time with him on their dates and at the dances, she was one hundred percent into girls not guys.

Derek had done everything he could to be supportive, hugging her and thanking her for feeling comfortable enough to share something so personal with him, even offering to throw her a coming out party. She had declined, but shortly afterwards she had started dating his younger sister, Cora.

So, he and Paige had never really kissed. And he had never gone out with anyone else after Paige, either, preferring to focus on his schoolwork. He put all of his effort into maintaining his spotless GPA and honing his skills for the basketball team, hoping to be team captain one day.

Besides, he constantly had to worry about keeping the fact that he was a werewolf hidden so as not to draw any unwanted attention from hunters or worse. And so as much as his friends teased him about being an asocial nerd, dating and kissing just weren’t that high on his list of priorities.

Which was why he was still upset with himself for letting Erica and Isaac drag him to some raucous party at Jackson Whittemore’s palatial house. On a school night, no less!

With Boyd out of town visiting family in New York, Erica was without a ride to the wild party, the same one she and Isaac had been talking about nonstop for weeks. Derek being the only other person in their little group of friends with a car, the sleek black Camaro that Laura had passed down to him when she had left for Princeton his freshman year, the scheming duo had turned to him for a ride.

He was helpless to deny them, especially when they both gave him their best puppy dog eyes. How Boyd managed to resist giving Erica whatever she wanted when she jut out her bottom lip and batted her eyelashes oh so innocently, Derek would never know. So, he agreed to drive them to the party, Erica’s promise that Stiles would be at the party perhaps influencing his decision a bit, too. Just maybe.

Because while dating wasn’t very high up on his lift of to-dos and kissing wasn’t something he dedicated himself to pursuing, it didn’t mean he never thought about them. He did. Quite often, as a matter of fact. And the person starring most prominently in his little daydreams and half-baked fantasies he usually reserved for late at night when he couldn’t sleep, was none other than Stiles Stilinski.

Stiles was infectious. Not in a bad way, it was just that everything about him was positively contagious. His enthusiasm, his laughter, his sometimes twisted sense of humor, even his unique way of looking at the world around himself. It was all just contagious.

Derek didn’t know a single person who didn’t laugh when Stiles made some kind of horrendous yet clever pun about whatever time period they were studying in history of whatever formula they were going over in calculus. Even people who, somehow, didn’t like Stiles always cracked a smile at his well placed one liners and sly innuendos.

Except Mr. Harris. But Derek was pretty sure he didn’t have a soul so he didn’t really count.

Stiles was like a ray of sunshine, ushering forth light and warmth to brighten up even the gloomiest day when he strolled into class fashionably late and took a seat in the front row. He never failed to make Derek’s day just a little bit better, whether it be with an offhand joke or a conspiratorial wink in his direction, or even just a smile or wave in greeting when they passed each other in the hallway.

And he was just so genuinely nice, it almost hurt.

He always asked people about how their day was going and actually listened when they answered, sometimes just sitting with someone he barely knew and letting them rant about school or their family or their favorite TV show. When someone was upset, he would just wrap them up in a tight hug or squeeze their shoulder, tell them that he was there if they ever needed someone to talk to.

He never let any bullying go unnoticed, sometimes charging right up to the perpetrator just to divert attention away from whoever was being bullied. He had ended up with his own fair share of black eyes and bloody noses for his troubles, serving weeks worth of time in detention, but it never stopped him.

A few years ago, he had actually smashed Matt Daehler’s phone when the little creep had recorded a video of Erica having an epileptic seizure. Stiles had wrenched the phone out of Matt’s hand and slammed it onto the ground before stomping on it a few times for good measure as he directed his friend Scott to call the nurse.

He was caring and considerate, alway carrying an extra inhaler in case Scott had an asthma attack, keeping an Epipen on hand should anyone have an allergic reaction, his backpack stocked with pads and tampons for people who unexpectedly had their period. He even carried different sized condoms around so no one had unprotected sex if they were too embarrassed to go out and buy their own, giving them away without charging anyone.

Stiles was amazing. And Derek really, really wanted to kiss him.

So, when he saw Stiles sitting down in the circle of people gathering in the living room to play spin the bottle, he threw caution to the wind and took a seat directly across from him. He could feel his ears burn at the curious looks he received from the rest of the people in the makeshift circle, Stiles cocking his head to the side as he scanned his eyes over Derek in blatant curiosity.

He Only Likes You (for your brains) by Revenant

Rating: Teen and Up

Word Count: 42188

Stiles had a fifteen year plan for his future that included getting married to the love of his life and becoming a kick-ass doctor. Being turned into a zombie was not a part of the plan, mostly because zombies weren’t supposed to be a real thing. The new fifteen year plan basically involves continuing to work at the morgue so he doesn’t starve, and continuing to be a zombie, at least until Isaac develops a cure. It doesn’t involve falling for werewolf deputy Derek Hale, recent transfer to Beacon County Sheriff’s Department, or pretending to be a psychic (because that sounds better than ‘zombie). Stiles maybe isn’t so good with this whole 'life plan’ thing.

Pretty Young Thang (Allison/Derek/Stiles)

cobrilee said: Prompt 1 of 2 for my “extra” prompts: “I’m on a really shitty blind date and you got fed up with the asshole I’m with so you dump water on their head and ask to take me on a better date. I totally accept.” Stiles/Derek/Allison. (I can totally see two of them being on a date and watching the third on their shitty date, then they invite the third to join them.)

I really hope you enjoy this, Bri! I went for a slightly different dynamic, and it was a lot of fun to write. Fic #43 in my 2017 Prompt Challenge

Pretty Young Thang. Allison/Derek/Stiles. Teen. Also on AO3.

Allison and Derek are out for dinner when they see a pretty young thang having a bad date nearby. Obviously, they have to intervene and invite Stiles to join them.

“Your nose is twitching.” Allison looks across the table curiously when she notices Derek’s expression. “Is something wrong?”

“My nose isn’t twitching,” Derek grumbles, reaching up to touch his nose as if that’s somehow going to make it stop. He rolls his eyes when she laughs, and she has little doubt that he’d totally throw his napkin at her if they weren’t in some fancy schmancy restaurant that Laura recommended.

I need me some piggybacking Stiles. Either from them hiking for a long-ass time and human legs and feet just don’t have the tireless machine qualities werewolf legs do, or maybe he was injured and he needs a piggyback because he is not a princess nor a sack of potatoes. Or he’s sleepy and wants cuddles but they can’t because they’re in the woods and they need to keep moving.
At any rate, I need Stiles getting a piggyback ride from his werewolf boyfriend, and I need it NOW.

Derek and Isaac had moved in and you were up to your eyeballs in testosterone. Isaac was sleeping on the couch, Derek in the guest room. You miss your privacy.

You came home late one evening, you had errands to run. You went upstairs, wanting to crash in bed. You opened your door to find Derek in your bed.

“Oh, really?” You crossed your arms and looked at him.

“Isaac’s in my room. I had nowhere to go.”

“Why is Isaac in your room?” You raise an eyebrow.

“He brought some girl home, I don’t know.”

“Derek! Oh my God!” You slipped out the door and swung Derek’s door open. You walked in and leaned on the wall. Isaac looked up at you and groaned.

The girl looked at you blankly. “Can I help you?” She smarted off.

“You can actually. Get out.” You point to the door.

She nudges Isaac. “You’re going to let her talk to me like that?” He shrugs and she pouts.

“I said out. Now.” You slammed the door closed when she left and you looked at Isaac.

“What the hell?” He got off the bed and put his shirt back on.

“Don’t what the hell me, Lahey. Bringing a girl home? To my house?”

“We didn’t even do anything! We were just making out!”

“I don’t care. You still brought her here.”

Derek opened the door and stood behind you.

“This isn’t fair! Scott didn’t care about this stuff!”

You scoff, “Was Scott becoming your legal guardian? No? Then I don’t want to hear it. My house, my rules.”

Isaac huffs and pushes past you, storming down the stairs.

Derek high fives you. “That was good pack-parenting.”

You laugh. “I cannot believe you let him in here with a girl.”

“Sorry. That was bad pack-parenting. He’s done it before so I didn’t really think much of it.”

“He’s done it before? In your room? Derek…he needs his own room.” You sigh.

“I can sleep on the couch.” He shrugs.

“No, stay with me. It’ll be 100% nonsexual. You can handle that right?”

Derek smirks. “Of course I can.”

That day he moved all of his stuff in, you were now sharing a closet with a man who you’d just met. You’d kissed for maybe fifteen seconds, but you just met. “What side of the bed do you sleep on?” He turned and looked at you.

“In the middle…so pick whichever side you want.” You say, moving your clothes over in the closet.

Stiles has been in and out of the house all day. He’s decided that you and Derek are the only ones that can calm him down.

“Why is Jackson such a huge idiot?” He stormed in and sat on your bed.

“All right then..” You muttered before sitting beside him. “What’d he do now?”

“He said that I’ll never be as good of a werewolf as him, so when I got angry he laughed at me. He’s showing off for Lydia.” He grunts.

You roll your eyes. “I just talked to him about this..Stiles don’t let it get to you. If I’m being honest I think that he’s a little worried about you and Lydia. You’re stepping in on his lady, Stiles.” You nudge him and he laughs.

“I don’t mean to…I just can’t help it. She’s just..” He lays back on the bed and groans. “She’s so pretty and she’s got the greatest personality. I just don’t know how she can stand to be with him. He’s a dumb jock, that’s all he is. She’s too smart to be with him. I get her, I get her sense of humor and I get her smart little fun facts. I just really like her, y'know? I do everything I can not to screw up around her and Jackson always makes me look stupid.” He sighs.

Derek joins the two of you on the bed. “I know what you mean. Pretty girls are hard to get over.” He flicked his eyes over to you and smirked.

“Let me give you some advice. If you’re having trouble with Lydia just try being her friend. Don’t try to impress her, or show off, just be her friend. Go out on friend dates with her and Jackson, no matter how much it hurts because that’s going to show that you aren’t around just to get in her pants. It’ll show her you’re trustworthy.” Derek smiles at him.

“I never really have tried being her friend…” Stiles says quietly. He jumped off the bed quickly.

“So, quick question…”

“What?” You look up at him.

“When’s the next full moon?”

“Monday, why? Do you need us?”

Stiles nods, “Okay, thanks guys. I have to go be Lydia’s friend now.” He jogs out of the room and you look at Derek.

“Such a spaz.” He says under his breath and you smack his arm.

“Leave him alone.” You defend the younger boy.

“Fine. Sorry.” Derek throws his hands up on defense, a smile playing on his lips. “Let’s go out tonight.” He looks at you.

“I uh..where?” You stand up, pulling the hoodie you were wearing down.

“Let’s go to a club. You know, where we can drink and not have to worry about teenaged werewolves.” He laughs.

You snort, “That’d be great.”

“It’s a plan?” He asks you.

“It’s a plan.” You repeat, high fiving the much taller werewolf in front of you. You glance at the clock. “That means I should start getting ready. Can you call Isaac and talk to him? He probably won’t answer if I call. Just tell him what’s going on and that he gets his own room now.” You grab your makeup bag as Derek nods. You go to the bathroom, turning music on loudly. You go back to your room to pick a dress out before retreating back to the bathroom.

You finish getting ready and you head downstairs. You find Derek in a tight white button down shirt and dress pants. You feel your breath hitch when you see him. He smirks at you. “I talked to Isaac…are you ready?”

You nod, the both of you going out to his car. You arrive at the club, the line surprisingly short.

“You look drop dead gorgeous. I just thought I’d let you know.” He smirks down at you and you blush.

“You don’t look too bad either.”

You’re standing in line talking when you’re approached by a young girl. “Derek? You’re Derek Hale right?”

Derek turns and looks at her, nodding. “Can I help you?”

“You’re an alpha, right? You know what to do.”

“I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking me.”

“I-I’m pregnant. I think my water just broke. I need help.”

Your eyes go wide and Derek turns to look at you.

“I’m not Derek Hale but I can help you.” You say, stepping out of line. You take the young girls arm.

“I can’t go to the hospital. My mom doesn’t know I’m pregnant. I can’t go.”

Derek takes her other arm. “Let’s get her in the car.”

You help her into the backseat and sit with her. “Derek, take her back to the house.” You arrive at the house and you help her inside, setting her up in Isaac’s room. You take all the sheets off the bed and put a towel down over the mattress protector. You cover her up and sit beside her. Derek stands in the doorway, watching.

“How old are you, sweetie?” You press a cool rag to her head.

She groans, you can see her contracting. You take her hand and let her squeeze. She’s not talking through the contraction so you figure she must be close.

You stand at the edge of the bed. “Is it okay if I look?” She nods.

“I’m fourteen, by the way. I’m pretty sure the baby’s a werewolf too.”

You nod and look under her dress. “Derek, she’s crowning already.” Can you come in here and take her hand.

He nods and comes in, making conversation with the girl.

“Honey, what’s your name?”

“My name’s Brittany.”

“Okay, Brittany..I’m going to need you to push. Can you do that? I’m going to count down from ten and I need you to push while I count.”

She nods and squeezes Derek’s hand.

“1..2..3..push.” She begins pushing and you count down. This goes on for about twenty minutes. “Derek can you get me the blanket on the couch?” He nods and jogs downstairs.

“One more push, Brittany.” She pushes and you hold the baby as it comes out. “It’s a boy.” You smile.

Derek returns and you wrap the baby up. “I need scissors.” He grabs them from the bedside table and you cut the cord, careful not to cut too close.

You hand the boy to Brittany. She cries as she takes him. “Thank you so much. Thank you.”

“Can I get you anything?” You smile at her and she shakes her head.

“I’m okay. Thank you.”

“We’ll leave you be. We’re going to be downstairs if you need us.” She nods and you and Derek leave the rooms.

“So much for going out.” You look at him and he smirks.

“I still got to see you in this hot dress. I found it painstakingly sexy watching you deliver a baby in heels. You’re so badass.” He gives you a once over.

You push him playfully. “Shut up. I’m just doing what I have to.”

Isaac walks in the door and starts to go upstairs. “Ah..wait.” You holler.

“What?” He turns and looks at you.

“You don’t want to go in there. I’m not giving details just don’t go in there. You can sleep down here tonight.”

He groans and flops down on the couch. “Okay..”

You go to the kitchen and sit a bottle of wine on the counter, Derek smirking. “Yeah?” He asks.

“Oh yeah.” You nod and pour you both a glass. You hop up on the counter. “I just delivered a baby. I don’t how these things just casually happen to me.”

Derek laughs. “You get used to it. I was hoping we’d hang out more tonight but…”

“We’re hanging out now aren’t we?” You and give him a sly look.

You spend the rest of the night talking and laughing. You got to know each other better. You’d checked in on Brittany before going to bed but she was asleep.

You’re awoken at 6 a.m by screeching. You groan and get up. Is there a baby in the house? There’s a baby in the house. You walk across the hall to Isaac’s room to check on Brittany and the baby. When you open the door you only see the baby. You pick him up and cradle him. You yawn as he begins to calm down. You carry him to the bathroom to see if Brittany’s there. Nope. You go down to the kitchen to find a note. You read it and you panic. “Derek! Derek, come here!” You heard him get out of bed and come downstairs quickly. You must’ve woken Isaac too because he came shuffling into the kitchen.

Derek comes in looking like an adorable mess. He has no shirt on, just pajama pants and his hair’s sticking up everywhere. “What’s going on?”

You hand him the note. “Brittany left. She left the baby here. She said she doesn’t care what we do with him.” Derek’s eyes meet yours and you can smell the anxiety on him, the baby beginning to scream.

“I for one hate the kid already.”

“Isaac, shut up.” You and Derek say in unison. No one speaks for awhile. You and Derek just stare at each other, having a silent conversation.

Pack Mother - Derek Hale - Part 2

Part 1

Everyone had arrived but Derek, at this point you’d assumed he just wasn’t coming but you pushed that thought to the back of your head. You had the pack to think of.

“It’s not fair, you’re taking care of him 24/7!” Jackson whined at you.

You sit the knife on the cutting board and cross your arms. “Oh yeah? Tell that to the gunshot victim lying on my couch. He needs constant care, Jackson.” You lower your voice and walk towards him. “He’s not the same as us, kiddo. You need to remember that.” Jackson was complaining about Stiles getting all of your attention and it had struck a nerve. “If you want attention, do something nice. I don’t give you attention because you’re so hostile to everyone. You can’t just be nice to me and think that it’s okay.” You smile as you place a hand on his shoulder. “Try being nice, Jackson..okay?”

Jackson lets out a deep breath. “Yeah, okay.”

He leaves the room and you go back to cooking when you noticed Derek. “Hey.” He smiles.

“Hey, when did you get here?” You smile back.

“Long enough to hear you talking to Jackson. You’re great at this, by the way.”

You shrug, “It’s natural, I guess.”

“Can I talk to you about something?” He walks toward you.

“Yeah, should we go upstairs?” You look up at him. He nods and you lead him upstairs to your bedroom.

“So..Liam imprinted on me this morning. Normally, I would’ve been ecstatic that I’m on my way to becoming a pack father..but I know you’ve already filled the parental spot.”

“That’s impossible.” You cross your arms. “He came over before everyone else and we had a talk. I felt the connection from his imprint on me.”

“You don’t think…?” Derek starts.

“I’ve only heard of it happening once or twice.” You look up at him.

“It’s possible. I’m almost certain Isaac has imprinted too.” Derek watches you carefully.

It’s incredibly rare but sometimes members of the pack can imprint on two people. It usually happens with a husband and wife and not two people who just met, but it happens. When members imprint on two people, the people are drawn towards each other, it’s almost like raising kids together.

“Should we go get Liam and Isaac?” He asks. You nod before sticking your head out the door, you call for them and you hear them bounding up the stairs.

“What’s up?” Isaac asks as he walks in and sits on your bed.

“Did you imprint on Derek?” You ask bluntly.

The both of them look at each other. “It’s not on purpose.” Liam says quietly. He looks sad, like he’s hurt your feelings.

“Hey.” You walk over to him and he looks up at you. “It’s okay. We still have our connection. My feelings aren’t hurt, it’s fine.” You nod reassuringly. Liam wraps his arms around you tightly and you smile. You ruffle his hair and hug him back. “You’re my pup, Dunbar.”

He laughs. “It’s not weird though, right? I mean, I didn’t imprint on you with any intentions.” He says to Derek.

Derek shakes his head and comes to your side. “I get it.” He smiles. Liam exits the room and you can feel his happiness radiating.

“If I’m being honest here, you guys are a hot couple. I mean, we just helped you out.” Isaac smirks, his head propped up on your pillows.

“Isaac up. Now. Don’t act smug about it because you’re embarrassed that you had a connection with a guy.” You walk over and pull him up by his ear.

“Ow ow ow..okay.” He pulls away and rubs his ear. “Sorry. I’m not embarrassed I just don’t want Derek to feel weird about it. You know…because I’m a dude.”

“Oh come on, Isaac. Don’t play the no homo card. That’ll get you kicked out real quickly.” You warn.

“I don’t think it’s weird.” Derek approaches him. “I appreciate that you felt you could come to me. You know I’m always here.” He pats Isaac’s shoulder. You saw how he talked to Isaac and you felt bad. They should’ve imprinted on him in the first place, not you. He’s an amazing father figure.

“Thanks. It’s just nice to have someone to talk to.”

“Isaac are you still staying with Scott?” You look up at the tall boy.

“Yeah, why?” He looks at you.

“Move in with me. I know the whole parent thing is touchy, so just let me handle it okay? You’ll have someone for parent teacher conferences, to sign permission slips…we’ll work something out, yeah?” You smile and take his hand. He looks like he might cry.

“Y/N, I’d love that. You’re a better mother to me than my biological mom.” You hug tightly.

“If it’s not too forward…I could help take care of him.” Derek looks at you. “I could move in, we could get legal custody…” You and Isaac pull away.

“A two-for-one deal?”

You laugh. “Yeah, Isaac. A two-for-one deal. It looks like you just got a new set of parents.”

“I’m going to go talk to Scott.” He smiles and leaves the room.

“I hope you don’t think that was inappropriate…me offering myself up to live with you.” Derek says.

“No, I mean..if we’re going to be pack parents it’s probably better that we are together anyway..” You smile. “Legally adopting Isaac too? That would be amazing.”

“Hey, sorry to change the topic..but I didn’t kiss you last night and I was just really caught up in you..and I hope you didn’t think that was weird because I did want to kiss you.” Derek rambles.

From what Scott has said about him you always thought he’d be kind of grumpy, not insanely adorable and soft. “No, it’s fine.” You smile.

“So, it would be okay if I did this?” He presses his lips to yours, pulling you close to him.

You kiss him back, mumbling against him, “More than okay.”

You kiss gently, nothing was escalating quickly. You hear footsteps and you pull away from him, smiling when you see Lydia enter the room.

“Stiles is being aggressive.” She pouts.

“What else is new?” Derek mutters.

“No, like he said he just wants you. He’s not letting anyone else get near him.”

You glance over your shoulder at Derek before going downstairs to Stiles. “Everybody out. Go out back or upstairs, I don’t care just out of this room.” You watch as everyone scatters. You squat in front of Stiles. “What’s going on?” You press a hand to his forehead, he still has a fever.

“I don’t know..” His voice sounds raspy. “I feel weird. I’m hot and extremely angry.”

You smile, Derek coming into the room with water. He hands it to Stiles. The younger boy sits up, drinking the whole bottle in no time.

You and Derek exchange glances. “Stiles lay back down.” He does as you say and you lift his shirt up where the bullet hole was, only to your surprise, it was gone. No hole, just the thread you’d used to sew stitches.

“Derek can you grab me the scissors?” You ask and he nods, going to retrieve them.

“Stiles, have you been feeling better?” You watch him closely as he nods. Derek returns with the scissors and you cut the stitches out and examine the area. Absolutely no sign of a gunshot wound.

“Is it possible you got bit?” You ask him quietly.

“I mean..I guess it’s always possible. Look who I surround myself with.” He responds.

“The bullet could’ve been laced in something.” Derek pipes up.

“That’s true. You were shot by another pack…”

“Wait, does that mean I’m a werewolf?” Stiles sits up immediately.

“It could..” Derek says and you stand up, sighing as you run a hand through your hair.

“Scott!” You yell, knowing that wherever he’s gone he can still here you. He runs into the house quickly. “What’s up?”

“I think Stiles is turning.” You turn and look at him, sensing Stiles’ panic.

Being a teenager sucks. Being a werewolf teenager sucks even more. With a life full of holding back who he really is, not having any privacy whatsoever, and the seemingly sudden appearance of one Stiles Stilinski, Derek Hale’s life just got a whole lot harder.

Stiles gets partnered with Cora for a history project, and they become bros. Also, he kind of falls in love with her older brother, Derek.

“I need you to have sex with Derek Hale like yesterday,” Lydia says, slamming her bag down on the table with more force than strictly necessary, mouth a tight line of displeasure. Stiles chokes on his boxed apple juice, sputtering, limbs flailing.

“Say it louder,” Stiles hisses, leaning forward so they can talk in low tones. “I don’t think they heard you in the back.”

He’s sixteen and in the woods on the wrong side of the town-line and he’s so fucking fucked.

He knows he’s not supposed to run, they teach that to you in preschool (don’t run from a Were, back away slowly and walk with care), but they never told you how it would feel, standing alone in the dark with your heart beating in your throat as those glowing eyes tracked you from the shadows.

“Carry me,” Stiles says.

“No.”

“But I’m injured.”

“You have a rash,” Derek says. “On your arm. Your feet work just fine.”

Something is seriously up with the captain of the lacrosse team. There’s just no way Derek Hale is human.
