You're an art student at the age of 16?! IMRESSIVE!
((Mhm! I go to a highschool in the North Hollywood area. If you know a lot about Hollywood region or just LA in general, we focus a lot on media and entertainment. We are also a rather rich area as well. With that, my school offers elective classes that are usually only avalible in college in other parts of the country. AP Music Theory, Film/Broadcasting, Digital Media, Photography/Photoshop, Game Design, and what I’m in is Animation/Digital Arts.
I am a 2 year Animation student, and I am in Intermediate Animation (Animation II). Everything I’ve learned about art and digital painting, like anatomy and such, is from my 2 years of being in my highschool. I am currently making an animation that is my semester project as well as my final. (….i need to get back to work on that)
Im pretty proud of where I am in life, and I can become an intern for Nickelodeon Animation Studios in my senior year of highschool (18 years old))
The Adventure Zone Listening Update: goes really well with Picross. FINALLY beat the final boss of Picross 3D after nearly a decade of owning this game. (Fuck that final python.) Two bonus levels to go and I will have 100% completion!
Oh yeah Adventure Zone. About halfway through episode 6 atm. I had to stop because I beat that damn python level and the adrenaline rush about killed me. I have officially completed the first arc/chapter!! I’m enjoying it so far. It seems like a pretty standard funny DnD podcast but I’ve heard the worldbuilding and characters get amped up so I’m very excited for that.
Yeah. Gonna stick with it for now I think. Got two more Picross levels to go.
So, I have a really, really exciting update! My book series, the one I’ve been working on since I was 13, is FINALLY finished!!!!!
Well, almost. I still have to send it to my editor, and then there are a few extra things to clean up at the copyright office, but, other than that, it is DONE!
Which is where you come in. I’m looking for a few people, 5 max, to review the first book before I start the publishing process. My editor is great at proofreading and error catching (ex. his last name is Smith here, why is it Jones two chapters later?), but she’s just as attached to the story as I am, which might be problematic. For one, she knows all of my characters’ backstories, so, if I forget to explain something on the page, we might both miss it because that info is already in our heads. For another, she’s seen how much it’s evolved (read: improved) since I was 13, and I’m afraid that she’ll judge it as “this is good because it’s so much better than your first draft” rather than “this is a good book in general”. I need some fresh eyes, a sort of test audience, to rate this thing for me as critically and honestly as possible so I know what needs to change.
If you’re interested, please send me a message or submit to my ask box. I won’t be sending anything to you for at least two or three months - like I said, I still have a few maintenance things to do - but I wanted to go ahead and get my list of people :)
