Love Like Fools by lily_winterwood (@omgkatsudonplease)

When Crown Prince Yuuri of Japan escapes his army of minders at his Saint Petersburg hotel, he thinks he’s found the opportunity to explore the city as a commoner.

When investigative journalist Viktor Nikiforov discovers the Crown Prince of Japan on a park bench in Saint Petersburg, he thinks that he’s found his ticket to redemption at the magazine he writes for.

But like the stories of those stranded during the White Nights after the bridges go up, neither of them had anticipated falling in love.

This month’s review is brought to you by my love for anything modern royals, good fluff/conflict balance, and fics based off films. Love Like Fools is based off Roman Holiday, and features Victor as a down-on-his-luck reporter who needs a new story, fast. Enter incredibly intoxicated Prince Yuuri, looking for a night on the town without anyone treating him like royalty. At first glance, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Victor; pretend that he doesn’t know exactly who Yuuri is, and in return get the interview of the century that will not only save his career, but could possibly catapult him to the top of his company too. However, love has a way of worming its way into one’s heart at the most inopportune of times, and before long, Victor and Yuuri find themselves at a crossroads between duty and desire.

This fic is fantastic for several reasons. First off, Lily’s writing is absolutely entrancing; when you’re reading one of Lily’s fics, it’s easy to forget that the world we’re living in exists, because you’re so caught up in the world she created for these characters. Every chapter leaves you wanting more, and in some occasions, will leave you tearing up in your room (not speaking from experience at all of course not what are you talking about?!)

But that’s not the only thing about this fic that is fabulous. What I love the most about this fic is the balance between fluff and conflict. Victor and Yuuri’s relationship in this fic isn’t 100% pure, fluffy fun at all times. Due to their early lies and half-truths on both sides, there is plenty of room of conflict in this fic, and oh boy, does it deliver on that front. Some of my favorite parts are when everything blows up in their faces, when they have to face consequences for their actions. There is something very real about that, something that at times can be overlooked in fanfiction. It was a nice to see Victor and Yuuri have to overcome some obstacles in their journey to be together.

Listen, if you like modern royals, interesting relationship dynamics, or just damn good fic, you should be reading this fic. It’s truly one of my highlights of my 2017 reading adventure!

Fic Masterlist

Cadewyn is amazed by the beauty of Terrasen. The towering mountains, crystal clear lakes, and enormous, flourishing pine trees that surround the capital city of Orynth is completely breathtaking. As he follows the Captain of the Guard, Aedion, around the palace grounds, he is struck by how different it is from the Night Court.

In Velaris, his parents do not own a large castle, or a huge plot of land. There is Aunt Elain’s garden, but Cade is sure she would love to see the one in Terrasen thrice the size of her own. Only in the last few years has Cade been able to venture down to the Court of Nightmares, and the difference between the two capitals is practically palpable.

Terrasen is fresh, new, and clean, with smiles passed between everyone and a calm atmosphere. The palace, which Cade has learned was built only in the last couple decades, is pristine, though old fashioned, and though it is enormous, has an incredibly homey feel to it. Hewn City is dark, extravagant, and the tension that is constantly floating in the air gives him a headache whenever he visits. The architecture is old and, though it is kept very clean, feels dirty.

Quickly, and without much effort, Cade finds himself at ease in the company of the captain as they stroll along the edge of the forest and make polite conversation. Aedion only looks a few years older than Cade, but the boy knows better. The captain may not have pointed ears or elongated teeth, but Cade can recognize the smell of fae blood in him.

They have been walking a few minutes in silence, just admiring their surroundings, when Cade finally works up the courage to ask. “So, how old are you?” He wonders, trying to be nonchalant about it so as not to seem rude.

Learning To Let You Go | Young Sirius Black X Muggle!Reader

English isn’t my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

A/N: This was supposed to be a fluff, but my mind suggested something a little more sad, then here it is.

Characters: young!Sirius/fem!reader, James. Remus, Peter and Bellatrix are mentioned.

Warnings: Mentions of death.

(E/C) stand for “Eye color”/(M/N) stand for “Mother’s name”/(F/N) stand for “Father’s name”/(L/B/N) stand for “Little brother’s name”/(H/C) stand for “Hair color”.

He walked through the soft grass, a serious expression on his face and delicate flowers in his hand. The day was fairly beautiful, the sun was shining, but not so much; a light breeze was blowing, but for a moment it made dust fly into his eyes.

It could be a fairly beautiful day for everyone, but not for him.

His eyes moved from one vinyl cover to another. He had never actually heard any of those bands, but the photos looked cool. Sirius stopped in front of one of the vinyls and took it in his hand, analyzing it, the cover had a large mausoleum in the middle with a skull on top and two silhouettes on the bottom, one female and the other difficult to identify. Nice.

Ever since Sirius had left his home to live with the Potters, he’d take some time off from time to time to take a walk in the Muggle world. And that time, his walk had led him to a small vinyl shop, which was hardly noticeable as someone passed in front of it on the street.

Sirius felt he was being watched, lifting his gaze from the vinyl he held to the girl sitting behind the counter, a shy smile gracing her face as her (E/C) eyes stared at him. She looked quickly down at the newspaper she was reading when she noticed he’d caught her staring. Sirius smirked a little, continuing to walk through the rows of vinyls there, but his gaze never really leaving the girl.

In Another World

While visiting Storybrooke, Alice struggles with seeing the life her father could have lived and wonders if he would have been happier without her.

Notes: So I’ve succumbed to the world of Knightrook and I REGRET NOTHING. So here’s Knightrook with a dash of Captain Swan. In terms of timeline, I’m going to say that for Captain Swan, 3-4 years have passed since the left Henry, Regina, and Wish!Hook. Obviously, this is set post-curse.

Alice pressed her face against window, watching as the world around her sped by. Maine was full of trees, and it reminded her a bit of where she came from, only this time she would have the ability to explore this place more. She’d done quite a bit exploring over the past few weeks. Not too long after the curse had broken and the villains defeated, she and Papa had decided to take a trip around the States to see all of the sights. They’d plotted over maps and researched the different places they’d like to visit, and – oh – how wonderful it had been.

The Grand Canyon had been her favorite. It was so large and vast, and it appeared to be somewhere someone could go easily find himself or herself lost. And the scenery was so different! The colors were all reds and oranges and brown, and the flora was nothing like she’d seen before. She and Papa had gone hiking, and she’d reveled in how she could stretch her legs and climb to high places and end back up on the ground again. They’d taken so many picture, she and Papa, his arm draped around her shoulder with twin smiles on their faces.

It was fantastic.

And now she and Papa were on their way to Maine to visit Papa’s other self, the one in Henry’s book. No, the one who inspired the character in Henry’s book. It was so strange to imagine two versions of her father, but it wasn’t the maddest thing she’d seen by far. Regardless, she was eager to meet the man that shared Papa’s face and much of his history.

All that Natasha hears is the jungle floor crunching under her as she flees from pursuing Hydra agents. Tall green trees mixed with vines and bushes cloud her vision but that doesn’t stop her from running as they whack her from time to time. If she listens carefully, she can hear their voices some distance away but she doesn’t dare look back wanting to keep her speed as she zigs zags through the trees.

She was in Africa investigating a possible Hydra base settled in the jungle. It was supposed to be simple but it quickly turned into her being spotted and recognized then quickly pursued. She took out several agents but there was too many, she had to run.

It probably wasn’t a good idea to run deeper into the jungle but she figures it’s better than getting shot at in the open since there were about 10 agents after her. Even if she did get too deep in, she always had her satellite phone in which she could contact back to base from. So, she doesn’t stop, mind pushing her to continue running.

That is until something hard collides with her and she hits the ground with a hard thump as surrounding greenery snaps underneath her. It takes her a second to recover but she quickly stands, guns drawn and she’s met with a bow and arrow, draw and pointed at her. She takes a second to look you over, realizing you’re not a Hydra agent.

“Who are you?” Natasha demands as she tightens her grip on her guns and you instinctively pull the drawstring back farther in return.

“I could ask you the same.” You return calmly. Neither of you lower your weapons as you eye one another but the sound of voices from two different directions disrupt the standoff. Natasha watches as you quickly turn to look behind you before turning your attention back to her. “We got to go.”

“We? Why should I trust you?” Natasha questions but becomes antsy herself as she hears the Hydra agents getting closer.

She watches as you groan in frustration as you slowly begin to backpedal deeper into the jungle. “You shouldn’t but I don’t want to be turned into Swiss cheese by some angry people and I have a feeling you were running from something as well so, are you coming or not?”

Natasha doesn’t know whether to trust you but with time dwindling down she gives in before deciding to follow you as you hurriedly sprint off. She keeps you in sight as you expertly maneuver through the dense trees and she prays silently that you knew what you were doing.

She doesn’t know how long she’s been running. It seems like forever but you finally slow down as you reach the base of an almost vertical slope and the both of you hunch over in attempt to catch your breath.

“I think we’re good.” You struggle to breathe out. Natasha sighs relived, using the back of her hand to wipe the sweat cascading down her face and she looks up to see you holding out a water bottle.

“Thanks.” Natasha says out of breath, accepting it before taking a few gulps. You simply nod as you proceed to drink from your own water causing a small silence in the air. “You never answered my question of who are you?”

You raised an amused eyebrow, smirk tugging at your lips as you stash your water bottle in your backpack before slipping it back on. “Why don’t I show you?” You question as you walk a several feet away from where the two of you were standing.

You begin to move some bushes and vines out of the way before revealing a hidden cave opening. Natasha stares dumbstruck and you wave at her to come before entering into the cave. Natasha hesitates but let’s her curiosity take her before she follows you into the dark opening. It’s almost pitch black besides the flash light you were holding and Natasha makes it a point to stay close to you. The cave was dark, damp and cold and she doesn’t even want to know what’s living in here that she can’t see.

A few minutes later, after squeezing thought some tight spots and taking some sharp turns another opening is seen and when you finally reach it, Natasha’s jaw falls open. The cave opens up to reveal an open area filled with huge statues, an altar, tall walls covered in inscriptions while the walls are covered in moss while some trees grow around. The place is illuminated by a hole in a section of the rock ceiling causing light to beam down beautifully across the abandoned place.

Natasha can’t even fathom how everything was placed or built here but she was in total awe of the hidden room and she turns to you, mouth slightly agape. You chuckle lightly as you gesture to the place. “Well… what do you think?”

Natasha can’t even formulate words as she looks around once again. “It’s amazing… What is this place?”

“A long time ago, there used to be an African tribe that would make giant alters dedicated to their gods. They would dig out caves in the sides of tall mountains, creating beautifully carved statues inside so it would be hidden out of sight. They would bring anything of value to worship their gods and that’s why I’m here.” You explain as you begin to explore the area and Natasha cocks an eyebrow.

“For the treasure?” Natasha questions and you shrug as you make your way up to the alter.

“I am an archeologist. It is my job.” You answer with a smirk as you begin to fiddle with something on the base of the alter.

“I don’t think archeologist have people chasing after them in the jungle.” Natasha comments and you turn to look at her over your shoulder.

“And who, exactly, were you running from?” You counter and Natasha clenches her jaw, crossing her arms causing you to grow a victory smirk before turning back to your work.

Natasha shakes her head as she comes to stand next to you before observing an odd shape carved out into the rock that looks like a dial. Her eyebrows furrow in confusion and she watches as you take off your backpack before grabbing a piece of metal that looks as if it can fit.

You place the metal object into the carved-out spot before turning causing a loud noise to erupt, echoing through the place. Something pops out at the bottom of one of the statues, revealing a metal piece similar to the one you had except it’s shaped differently. You run up and grab it but suddenly the whole place begins to shake violently.

“Time to go!” You yell as you slip on your backpack once again before grabbing Natasha’s hand. You begin to pull her towards where you came from but see that it becomes sealed off. You scramble to find a different way out before averting your eyes to the ceiling. “I hope you can climb.”

Natasha doesn’t have time to question as you’re running to the nearest wall before beginning to effortlessly scale it. She quickly catches up, doing the same and you rapidly climb to the top of the cave, making it to the opening in the ceiling before pulling yourself up. Natasha has to avoid rocks falling on her but finally reaches the ledge as well but when she grabs on, the rock begins to give way.

She can’t grab onto anything else as the rocks slip off but before she can fall to her death a hand quickly grabs hers. She looks up, seeing you grasping onto her tightly before pulling her up to safety. You don’t give her time to recover before pulling her down the side of the steep slope as the sound of the hidden cave shaking continues.

You both run to where you first entered covered in dirt, bruises and scrapes and Natasha sends a glare, pointing an accusing finger at you. “You are not an archeologist.”

You let out an amused huff despite being out of breath as you stare at the beautiful redhead. “I am but of… special objects.” Natasha shakes her head not wanting to question anymore and you release a sigh. “There should be an access road about 2 miles east from here, should take you right to the city but here’s a map just in case.”

You pull a map out of one of the side pockets, handing it to her and Natasha hesitantly takes it before nodding towards you. “What about you?”

“I have a ride the opposite direction. Don’t worry about me, I know the area.” You respond, giving a dismissing wave.

“So, where are you off to next, wilderness explorer?” Natasha questions lightly causing you to chuckle at the nickname.

“Venice and you’re more than welcome to join me.” You offer and Natasha shakes her head with a small smile tugging at her lips.

“I think, I’ll have to raincheck.”

“Alright but you know, I never caught your name.” You comment and Natasha tilts her head to the side.

“Natasha.” She introduces and a smile spreads from ear to ear as you hold out your hand.

“(Y/N).” Natasha gently shakes it before you both begin to slowly back away in opposite directions and you send a goofy smile before slightly bowing. “Well, may we meet again, Natasha.”

Natasha can’t help the small chuckle that escapes her before nodding in agreement. You send a final wave before sprinting off and disappearing into the jungle, leaving Natasha to fend for herself. She begins to walk in the direction you told her to as a smile ghosts her lips with the hope she would really meet you again.

Welcome to London {Joe Sugg X Reader Imagine}

Warnings: smut.

A/N: Hope you enjoy, my lovelies. xoxo - Grace

My parents weren’t too keen on me moving half way across the world to go to school in London, but here I was, bewildered at the new city and the opportunity to completely change my life. Growing up in a small town in Kansas has its upsides, but it wasn’t the place I wanted to make my life. London had been my dream city for as long as I could remember, and I was finally here.

I couldn’t contain my giddiness as I unlock my apartment door. Most of my larger belongings, such as my couch and bed, had already been shipped out and were waiting to be put in their proper places, but the rest of my belongings wouldn’t make it for a few more days. Luckily, I had a small suitcase packed that I could live out of for awhile. I walk across the apartment to look out the balcony door. The view was absolutely breathtaking; all the beautiful city lights could be seen as it was around 9 PM. I was completely awake, considering it would be around mid-afternoon back home. After texting my mother, I heard my stomach growl, reminding me that I hadn’t eaten a full meal in about 12 hours. Deciding to stick with something familiar, I search for the nearest McDonald’s.

After filling my belly, I decide to make a must-needed stop at a Tesco to pick up some groceries. I grab a trolley and begin filling it with the necessities: bread, eggs, etc. By the time I get back to the apartment, it’s nearly 11 PM. I take this time to explore the apartment since I hadn’t gotten the chance to yet. I make my way down the hallway and peek into each room. What would be my new office was empty except for the desk that had been shipped out earlier. Across the hall is my bedroom. I’m delighted to find my queen size bed already set up, with the bag of sheets and blankets sitting next to it. Diving onto the bed, I couldn’t contain my giggles and excitement. After making my bed, I pull out my laptop to watch a few movies and hopefully lull myself to sleep so I could adjust to the time change. After watching three movies, I fall asleep to the ending soundtrack of The Breakfast Club and my excited thoughts of what was to come.

When I wake up, the sun is already shining through my window. I look at my phone to see that it’s 11 AM and I have a missed call from my mother. I text her back, letting her know I’m safe and loving London so far. At about noon, I force myself out of bed, determined to get rid of this jet lag. After fixing myself a peanut butter sandwich, I step out on the balcony to enjoy the crisp autumn air. Less than an hour later, I was pulled out of my daydreams by the sound of a nearby voice. Looking to my left, I see a boy standing on the neighboring balcony. He hadn’t seen me yet, but he continued to talk, even though he was the only one out there.

“Look at this view, isn’t it beautiful?” I heard him ask. I assume maybe he had noticed I was sitting on the other balcony and was asking me, so I answered, “Yes, it’s absolutely breathtaking.”

He seemed utterly shocked to have received an answer. I giggled as he searches around him for the unknown voice. When he spots me, I wave towards him sheepishly.

“Hi there,” I say awkwardly.

“Oh hello, you nearly gave me a heart attack… I wasn’t expecting anyone to be out here,” he replies, his face turning a little red.

“Then who were you talking to?” I ask suspiciously.

“Oh, I was starting my vlog; I’m a YouTuber,” he answers, holding up his little black camera.

“Oh, that’s cool,” you reply, not really knowing what else to say.

“Yeah… I’m Joe by the way, Joe Sugg.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Joe. I’m Y/F/N.”

Joe and I continue to talk a bit more. Apparently the apartment he was in actually belongs to his friend, Caspar. I tell him that I’m just moving into my apartment, and he offers to help me move my things once they arrive. I thank him, grateful that he had offered because I was starting to wonder how I would do it on my own. While we were in the middle of our conversation, another boy steps out onto his balcony.

“Ah, Caspar, this is your new neighbor, Y/N,” Joe says to him.

“Hi,” I wave once again.

“Hello, Y/N. It’s nice to meet you. I hope you’re okay with constant loud parties next door,” he says with a dorky smile.

“Really?” I ask, my smile dropping.

“No I’m just kidding, but if we ever do have a party here, you’re welcome to join,” he replies with a wink.

I laugh at his straightforwardness and reply, “We’ll see…”

“I like her; she doesn’t completely reject my flirting,” Caspar says.

“Don’t get your hopes up, mate; she said maybe, not yes.” Joe chuckles.

“Well boys, it’s been a pleasure meeting you, but I think I’m going to go explore the city, so I’ll see you around,” I say.

“Wait! Before you go, let me give you my number in case you need anything,” Joe says.

I type his contact into my phone and say goodbye once again. Who would’ve thought I’d make my first London friends without even leaving my apartment?

Joe’s POV

“Caspar, you lucky bloke! I wish I could have a neighbor that gorgeous,” I say once we return inside.

Caspar merely chuckles and starts chanting “someone’s got a crush.”

“I do not! Shut up, she might hear you,” I whisper yell at him as I hit his arm.

He just continues to chuckle at me in my flustered state. To be honest, I maybe did have a little crush on Y/N, but I mean, she’s absolutely beautiful. Hopefully I’ll be able to get to know her a bit better…

Later that evening, I was still around Caspar’s flat with a few of the other boys when I got an unfamiliar call. Assuming it was a prank call, I answered it in one of my goofy voices.

“What do you want?” I say in my Peter Griffin voice.

“Oh, I think I have the wrong number… I was looking for a Joe Sugg” a girl replies, sounding a bit flustered.

“Oh, is this Y/N? Sorry, I thought it was a prank call so I answered in my Peter Griffin voice,” I answered sincerely.

“Ah, it was a great impression.”

“Thank you. So, what did you need?”

“Oh right, so, I was out walking around the city, and, well you see, I think I might of gotten a little lost?”

“Oh my god, are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m fine, I just don’t know where I am or how to get back to my flat.”

“Hey, don’t worry, I’ll try and find you. Look around, is there anything that might give you a clue as to where you’re at?”

“Um… there’s a place called ‘Nando’s’ across the street—“

“–oh, I know where that’s at. I’m on my way now.”

“Thank you so much, Joe.”

“It’s not a problem, Y/N. I’ll see you soon.”

About ten minutes after I called Joe, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around, engulfing Joe in a hug, so happy to see him.

“Oh my gosh! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was beginning to think I would be lost forever,” I say as I cling to Joe.

“Like I said, it’s not a problem, Y/N,” he says as he pulls out of the hug, although I wish he hadn’t.

“How about this; since you came to my rescue, let me buy you dinner tonight?” I ask.

“But what kind of a gentleman would I be if I let the lady pay for dinner?”

“Well then, how else am I supposed to repay you for helping me?”

“I’m sure you’ll find some way.”

“Fine… you win this one, but I will find a way to make it up to you.”

“Don’t worry about it, love. Shall we go in and eat?”

“We shall.”

After stuffing our bellies with Nando’s, Joe and I venture back out into the chilly evening air. Joe must have noticed me shiver because he offers me his jacket, which I gladly accept. As we walk down the sidewalks of London, we get to know each other better, and before I know it, we’ve arrived at my apartment building.

“Would you like to come over to Caspar’s flat for a bit to meet the rest of the boys?” he asks as we take the lift to my floor.

“I’d love to, considering I have nothing to do at my own place,” I reply.

“Great, but I have to warn you, the boys can be a bit overwhelming…” he trails off as he opens Caspar’s door.

The second we walked in, Caspar greets us. “Joe! New neighbor girl!”

“Hi Caspar,” I giggle.

“Guys, this is Y/N, Caspar’s new neighbor. Y/N, this is Oli, Jack, Conor, Mikey, and Josh,” Joe introduces me to everyone.

We all exchanged greetings as Joe leads me over to the couch to sit down next to him.

“So how did you meet these two wankers?” I think it was Jack who asked.

“Well, I was just sitting out on my balcony earlier today, enjoying the view, when Joe came out on his balcony and started talking to himself,” I giggle. The boys erupt in laughter at that as Joe’s face reddens.

“That’s not quite how I remember it happening, but whatever,” Joe replies.

It was now around 9:30 PM and Caspar brings out a few drinks.

“You’re legal, right, Y/N?” Josh asks.

“Yes I’m legal, I’m 24,” I reply, “25 in December.”

“What do you say we hit the clubs soon?” Conor asks.

“You up for it, Y/N?” Joe asks.

“Hell yes, but I need to go change first,” I answer.

“Well then go get ready, so we can partayyy!” Caspar yells.

I giggle and head over to my apartment hoping I have an outfit for the club in my suitcase. Luckily, I packed my little black dress in case of emergencies.

About thirty minutes later, I hear a knock on my door as I’m doing my finishing touches.

“Hurry up, Y/N!” I hear the boys shout.

“I’m almost done, just be patient,” I shout back.

When I open the door, I look up to see all the boys staring at me with their mouths open.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer,” I say with a smirk.

Right after I say this I hear a camera click. I look over to Conor who has an innocent look on his face.

“You said to take a picture…” he replied.

We all busted up laughing and headed to the club. I stood in between Joe and Caspar, enjoying their company as we walked. We arrive at the club a few moments later, and Joe offered to go get me a drink.

“Stop buying my stuff, it’s not fair, I want to be nice, too,” I say to him with a pouty face.

“Sorry, love, I’m just a nice person I guess.”

“Well, nice guy, come dance with me,” I say, pulling him to the dance floor. He laughs as I pulled him through the chaotic crowd.

We dance the night away and by the time we got back to Caspar’s, it’s around 1 AM and we were all quite drunk. We mutually decided that everyone would stay there so we wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of calling an uber at this ungodly hour. We figure out the sleeping arrangements among Caspar’s flat and my flat. Caspar would share his bed with Josh; Jack and Conor would share Caspar’s guest bed; Oli would take Caspar’s couch; Mikey would take my couch; and Joe could crash with me. Joe protested at first, saying he would sleep on the floor, but I assured him it was fine. I honestly would rather have a cuddle buddy than sleep alone.

By the time we got everyone situated, it was nearly 2 AM. I stumbled into my room with Joe in tow. Reaching into my suitcase, I pulled out an old t-shirt to sleep in.

“Close your eyes, I’m just going to change in here really quick,” I tell Joe. When I don’t hear a response, I turn around to see Joe already in the bed with his eyes closed. I quickly stripped out of my dress to put the t-shirt on, when I heard Joe’s voice.

“Mm, I like what I see,” I hear him say.

I turn around after I pulled the shirt over my head to see him staring at me.

“Hey! I told you to close your eyes,” I whisper yell at him.

He just chuckles at me and says “sorry, I just couldn’t resist.”

“It’s not very nice,”

“Hey, come here. I’m sorry, I won’t do it ever again.”

I chuckle at our drunken states as he pulls me down onto the bed in his arms.

“You’re funny, you know that?” I giggle.

“You’re cute, you know that?” he replies.

“You’re adorable.”

“You’re gorgeous.”

“Okay, but seriously, thank you, Joe. I had so much fun tonight,” I say as I kiss his cheek.

“The pleasure is mine, love,” he says as he leans in. Our lips meet and I can’t help but smile.

“Goodnight, Joe.”

“Goodnight, Y/N.”

I wake up the next morning in a blissful state, cuddled up to Joe’s side. Hangovers don’t typically affect me like they do others, so I don’t really dread waking up the day after a fun night. I struggle as I climb out of Joe’s arms to get to my bathroom. Once I’m done in there, I walk out  to the living room to see Mikey passed out. I tiptoe out the door and into Caspar’s apartment to see Oli sitting on the couch on his phone.

“Hey, Oli,” I smile.

“Hey Y/N, how are you doing?”

“Good, just figured the boys would want some breakfast when they wake up so I thought I’d come over here and start cooking.”

“Oh Y/N, you’re so kind, you don’t have to go to the trouble.”

“It’s fine, honestly, I love cooking.”

“At least let me help you.”

By the time we’re done cooking, we have enough cheesy eggs, bacon, and pancakes to feed an army. Caspar, Josh, Conor, and Mikey eventually followed the smell of food into the kitchen, but Jack and Joe were still passed out.

“Can’t we just eat without them?” Conor asks.

“Nope, but we can have some fun waking them up,” I reply, “you guys go wake Jack, I’ve got Joe, okay?”

We split up and I walk back into my apartment to wake Joe. I walk in my room and see Joe sprawled out on my bed, still passed out. I quickly take a picture of him, because he looks adorable cuddled up in the blankets. After saying his name a few times, I realize I’m going to have to step it up a notch if I want to wake him up. I step up on the bed and start jumping up and down around him, shouting his name. It definitely wakes him up but he catches me off guard by hooking my foot and pulling me down into his arms.

“It’s too early,” he whines.

“Aw, is the poor baby sleepy?” I ask.

“Yes, now let me sleep.”

“Fine then, I’ll just let the boys eat your food.”

“What food?” he asks, seeming interested.

“I made breakfast.”

“Fine, I’ll get up, but only because there’s food.”

I smile and pull his arm until we reach Caspar’s flat.

We eat breakfast and hang out at Caspar’s for a few more hours until I get a text from my moving company that the truck with my things will arrive that evening.

“Oh my gosh, yay! My stuff is going to be here tonight!” I yell.

“That’s great! I’ll be here to help,” Joe says.

“I’ll help, too,” Caspar adds.

By the time the moving truck gets here, it’s 5 PM. We unload everything and pile it into the lift. By 7 PM, we have everything upstairs, and now I just had to organize and put things away which I kindly tell the boys I can handle. Caspar leaves, but Joe insists on staying, telling me he can order us a pizza and find things to help me with. At 9 PM, we’re nearly finished when Joe asks to stay the night again.

“It’s getting late and I’m already here; do you mind if I stay crash here again?”

“It’s perfectly fine, Joe. I think I’m done with unpacking for the night though. Do you want to watch a movie?”

“Sounds great, love.”

We get comfortable in my bed with the computer settled in between us. We can’t decide on a movie to watch, so instead we just binge watch a couple of episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The whole time, Joe and I would subconsciously scoot closer together. It got to the point where I was sat in-between his legs with his arms wrapped tightly around me. After the third episode ends, I look back at Joe.

“Do you want to do something else? I’m kinda bored of watching TV, but I’m not very tired.”

“Yeah, me too. What do you have in mind?”

“We could play a game,” you suggest.

“Sure, how about truth or dare?”

“Ooh, I love that game”

“Okay, truth or dare?” he asks.

“I didn’t say you could go first… but truth.”

“Hm, what was your first thought when you met me?”

“Well at first, I thought you were some psycho dude who talks to himself, but after I got to know you, I realized how sweet and adorable you are.”

“Aw, you think I’m adorable,” he replies with a little smirk.

“Yeah, yeah, truth or dare, Sugg?”

“I dare you to go out on the balcony and scream ‘Jaspar is real.’”

“Oh blimey, I shouldn’t have ever told you about that ship,” he whines.

“Hey, a dare is a dare.”

“Fine,” he grumbles as we get up and he follows me out to the balcony.

“Hurry up, it’s cold out here.”

He glares at me, and then as fast as he can, he screams the phrase so it comes out as gibberish.

“Hey that’s not fair!”

“Oh and why is that? I did the dare,” he replies smugly.

I glare at him and chase him inside when he tries to run. When I follow him around the corner, her surprises me by turning around and picking me up to spin me around.

“Put me down!” I yell.

“Make me,” he replies with a smirk as he carries me back to my  room.

“Truth or dare, love?”

I narrow my eyes at him. “Dare.”

He throws me on the bed and starts to crawl up towards my face.

“I dare you to kiss me,” he says simply.

I grab his face and fill the empty space between us. He pulls my head closer to deepen the kiss. Before it gets too heated, he pulls away, and says, “Your turn.”

“Truth or dare?” I say, nearly out of breath.

“Dare,” he growls lowly.

I look into his eyes, barely above a whisper, “Fuck me.”

Not even a second passes before his lips are attacking mine again. He pulls away momentarily to remove his shirt. I marvel at the newly exposed skin as he slips his hands under my shirt to remove mine as well. His hands reach for my breasts as he reattaches our lips. I let out a small moan as he begins to kiss down my jaw, down to the valley between my breasts,  lower and lower until he was kneeling between my legs.  He slowly runs his hands up and down my legs and peels back my leggings and underwear.

“My god, you’re perfect,” he says as he kisses around my hips and thighs.

“Please, Joe… do something,” I plead.

“What do you want me to do, love?” he asks as he leans down and blows across my sensitive skin.

I shiver at the sudden rush of cool air on my soaked core. “Anything, please, Joe; I need you.”

With that, he immediately attaches his lips to my clit and begins to suck. I gasp at the sensation and reach down for his hair to pull him closer. He moans on me and I feel the vibrations throughout my body. I’m so close to my high but before I can reach it, Joe pulls away.

“Hey!” I shout as he crawls off the bed to remove the rest of his clothing.

“Shh, baby… as much as I’d love for you to cum on my mouth, right now I just want you to cum with me inside you.”

He crawls back up my body, showering me in sloppy kisses along the way. I let out a moan when he reaches a certain spot on my neck. He notices and sucks a deep purple mark there.  I whimper at the loss of contact when he stands up on his knees to put on the condom. When I see his member, I gulp. He wasn’t necessarily thick, but he was long.

“You ready, love?” he asks as he situates my hips on the bed.

“God, yes!”

He slowly slides into me to let me adjust to his length. Once I’m comfortable, he just barely pulls out of me and slams back in with full force. I let out a shriek as I clench around him.

“Fuck, Y/N, you feel so good… so tight.”

He pounds into me repeatedly and the pain soon turns to pleasure.

“Oh fuck, Joe,” I moan.

He surprises me when he flips us over, so I’m now straddling him.

“Ride me, baby,” he says with a smirk.

I mimic his smirk as I roll my hips on him at a slow, torturing pace.

“God, you’re going to be the death of me, Y/N,” he says as he plants his feet flat on the mattress.

My gasp turns into a loud moan as he thrusts up into me, gripping my ass to hold me in place. His thrusts continue and he hits that certain spot inside of me and I let out a shriek.

“Fuck, Joe, I’m gonna come!” I yelp. He pushes me over the edge when he reaches down with his thumb to rub tight circles on my clit. We both moan out as we climax together. I collapse onto his chest trying to catch my breath.

“God, Y/N, that was amazing,” he says as he pulls me off his hips to lie beside him.

“Mhm,” I mumble tiredly as I cuddle into his side, still shaking a bit from the aftershocks of my climax.

“Are you okay?” he asks concerned.

“Yes, god yes! That was one of the best orgasms I’ve ever had,” I answer.

After we calmed down a bit, we cleaned ourselves up and lied down under the covers. Joe pulled me close and began tracing circles on my back.

“Y/N, I really like you and I kinda wanna see where this could go… what do you think?” he asks nervously.

“I like you too, Joe, and I’d love to see where this goes,” I reply. He smiles down at me and pecks my lips one last time.

“Goodnight, love,” he says, barely above a whisper.

“Goodnight, Joe.”

I tried really hard to get you guys some good photos from the Salt Lake City show, but it didn’t work out. Please accept this photo of an interesting box I found when exploring after the show instead.

(Sorry, friends. I did my best. I just wasn’t very close. It was a great show, though, and it was horror-themed, which you know is my thing, so I was pretty delighted. Always amazed at how well the boys can handle awkward situations/ audience interaction and keep things rolling smoothly. That takes serious skill.

Also, as a side note: I was an idiot and missed the last train home because I was exploring. So please pretend to appreciate this box picture.)

A Whole New World

Me and Brooklyn have been dating for about 3 months and I have a deep feeling for him. I feel like he feels the same way. We hanged out when he stopped by in LA, but he went back to London and it has been tough. Although we haven’t dated a “long time” for it to be a committed relationship, it feels like I’ve known him for such a long time, and my feelings for him get stronger everyday.

His mom stayed in LA for a couple more days before she jetted off to London. She asked me to come by around 10am at the house before she left so she could say goodbye. I did as she asked and she was standing in front of the door with her suitcases and an extra small black one by her side.

“Hello Mrs. Beckham! Good morning!”

“Call me Victoria! How many times do I have to tell you love, haha, are you ready to go?”

“Oh yes I forgot, Victoria, and umm…. Why am I supposed to be ready?”

“I’m taking you to London with me, it’s a surprise for Brooklyn and you obviously. I’m sure he misses you loads. David tells me how he stays up so late talking to you.”

“Oh no. Mrs. Beckham… I mean Victoria, I couldn’t…. I shouldn’t. I have school and plus my parents don’t know and I didn’t even pack…”

“I called your school and told them you’re on a busy schedule and will makeup your work as soon as you get back, and I also got a small travel study for you.” She handed me the packet and my suitcase. “Your parents agreed, we planned this trip for you, and for the packing I got you covered. Come along now.”

She started walking to the car, and I had no choice but to follow her. She was an extraordinary woman, so kind, I couldn’t find a way to repay her.

I have never been to London. but I have always dreamed of being there, in this new world to explore. With the Beckhams. With Brooklyn.

After 11 hours of flight we finally arrived to the Heathrow Airport. We got a cab and rode off into the city. When we pulled up to the gigantic house, I couldn’t stop smiling. I was going to see Brooklyn again. See his smile, hug him, and create new memories while I stay.

“Here we are. Our cab driver will bring our bags. Follow me, I want to surprise Brooklyn, so at the door hide on the side.”

“Okay! Will do! Thank you so much!”

“You’re welcome sweety. Ok now hide.” I heard loud footsteps come as she opened the door.
“Mummy is home!” I saw Romeo, and Cruz run toward their mom, David had Harper in his arms and down came Brooklyn.

“Brooklyn, I have a surprise for you.”

“What is it?” As I heard his voice my heart began to race so fast. It doesn’t matter how many times I see him, he still makes me feel vulnerable and crazy.

“Look outside.” Victoria motioned him towards me. He walked out and I took a step forward. I was inches away from him. He looked into my eyes and a smile grew on his face. Bigger and bigger.

“Y/N !!! What! Why! How! Oh how I missed you!” He brought me into a big hug, I couldn’t help but squeeze him back.

“Your mom brought me, she’s the best, she paid for everything. How can I ever thank her.”

“Oh you don’t have to, she loves doing these sorts of things. Come on let’s go inside.” He wrapped his arm around my neck and took me inside.

“Y/N yay you’re here!!” Screamed Romeo, Cruz and Harper. I ran towards them and gave them a big hug.

“Let’s play football!! Come on Romeo, lets get our boots!” Yelled Cruz.

“No no no guys, Y/N just arrived and I want to show her my favorite places here in London, you guys have to wait.” Brooklyn told the boys.

“Ugh fine. But when you guys come back, promise to play?” Pouted Romeo.

“Of course guys! I love soccer and especially with you guys, we’ll play as soon as we come back okay.” I felt Brooklyn stare at me with the most kindest eyes ever. He said to me, “I love when you’re so nice to my brothers, it means a lot.”

“Well, I do really like them.” I teased him, “maybe even more than you.” He glared at me with a smirk and said, “you’re going to change your mind real fast, just watch.” I giggle as he made his way into the kitchen. I followed. “DAD! Can I take your car out for a few hours?”

“Why yes of course, son,” David answered him, throwing him the keys. “Just be careful okay, don’t do anything stupid.”

“Thanks dad. And we won’t, we’ll be back soon.” He intertwined his fingers onto mine, and placed a small kiss on my cheek. “I’m about to show you a whole new world princess.”

68 with 2D please???

(A/N: ok so this going to be both Gay™ and Lame™)

“How. The fuck. Are you– so motherfucking tall?”

It had been a particularly lazy day for you. You’d spent some of your day off cleaning, and most of it sleeping or watching television. Your sweet boyfriend, 2D, was set to be in the studio most of the day. Even as the sun was setting, you still weren’t expecting him for an hour or two. You turned on the stereo, flipping on one of your favorite bands, and retrieved a book from the nearby shelf. You got through a couple of chapters before dozing off.

When you awoke, 2D was just getting home. He walked into the living room, holding a few pizza boxes and a couple bottles of wine. He set them all down on the coffee table, and, seeing that you were awake now, plopped next to you on the couch. He pulled you in closely for a hug and kissed you on your forehead.

“Hey, sleepyhead, how was your day off?” He rested a hand on your thigh.

You smiled and yawned quietly. “It was… a bit unproductive. Just as I like it.” You motioned to the pizza and wine. “What’s the occasion, Stu?”

He wiggled his eyebrows at your playfully skeptical tone. “I’ve had a good day, and I wanted to surprise this real cute person I live with.”

You nudged him and giggled. “Fucking dork.”

Your dork,” he corrected, reaching for the food and alcohol. “And only yours. Now… White or red?”

You pondered for a moment. “Red. Seems like it’d go better with pizza.”

He obliged and handed you your bottle of wine and a pizza box. The two of you sat together, drinking and eating throughout the night. The sounds of you two talking and laughing over your music was a welcome change from the norm. 2D explained to you that the other bandmates went into the city for the night, so he took advantage of their absence and decided to have a quiet night in with you. The night became a lot less quiet as the wine took its effect, though. You both cleared your bottles and were buzzing heavily as you talked about anything and everything. When you were with 2D, you were able to explore. He never made you feel judged.

At midnight, the two of you decided that you weren’t done drinking. You went on a full search through the kitchen for any miscellaneous alcohol, and sure enough, you were able to settle on a bottle of rum. word of caution, dont drink both in one night irl, it aint worth it You raced each other out to the living room, almost dropping the bottle of rum in the process. You landed on the couch before 2D, so you got the first swig. You took it down with a wince; then came the burning. You coughed, hard. 2D rubbed and pat your back a bit.

“Y-you need anythin’, Y/n?” His voice was quiet and thoughtful.

“Yeah, I– I do. Can you get me a chaser or something?”

2D nodded and scampered off to the kitchen, returning a few moments later with two glasses of orange juice ginger ale. He sat down next to you and switched your cup for the bottle. You switched off like that until the bottle was half gone, and by that point you were both wasted. 2D kept telling you how drunk you were and it bothered you. Of course you were drunk. But you were still fine! you lying ass bitch smh

“Hey! N-no! I’m fiiiine. Watch, here, come on…” You stood up from the couch, almost losing your balance. You held out a hand to 2D. “Let’s dance or something. Dance with meeeee.”

You stumbled over to the speaker and turned the music up. An upbeat alternative rock song began to play, and you began to dance. badly You screamed the intro of the song as you started. 2D stared at you for a second before standing up and joining you. His skills were on the same level as yours, which was ZERO saying very little. The alcohol made everything a little harder to do, but you were enjoying yourself. As you looped around each other, nearly stumbling over the coffee table, you couldn’t help but notice how… well, how lanky your boyfriend was. It was really funny, actually– so funny that you stopped dancing and crashed into the couch. 2D stopped abruptly, and stumbled over to you in drunk concern.

“Hey… Hey! Y/n. Sweetie. Baby.” He kneeled next to the couch. “You alive?”

Tears rolled down your cheeks as you nodded. You couldn’t stop laughing. “Y-yeah, I’m totally good. I’m f-fine.”

He looked puzzled. “Wha’s so funny? Come on, lemme in on the joke.” His words slurred together terribly.

Your lungs felt like they were going to burst. “How. The fuck. Are you– so motherfucking tall? You’re– you’re like… a fucking… Mutant string bean!”

Your laughter grew out of control again, but this time, 2D was joining you. He had sunk to the floor and was cackling into the carpet. The two of you sat like that until you finally heard the band come back. Murdoc fuck off, pickle poked his head into the living room, asked what you were laughing about, and when you told him that he wouldn’t understand, he grumbled something about you moving up to your room. A few more minutes passed before both you and your boyfriend could get up and function again. You were both still super drunk, but that didn’t stop 2D from picking you up and carrying you to his room upstairs. where you proceeded to have cute, messy, drunk sex aww… gay

Love on the Radio - Joe Sugg

“Alright, I’m here with Youtube sensation (y/n). Welcome to the radio world.” Scott Mills said.

Three years ago you started your Youtube channel and day by day, your subscribers were growing. You had managed to gain almost 8 million subs and were loving every minute of it. Your channel mostly consisted of you doing stupid things with friends, exploring the beautiful city of London, which you’ve had the pleasure of living in your whole life and giving your opinions on certain topics.

One day, you received a phone call from Scott asking you to host the morning show with him and you happily agreed. You always loved listening to Scott in the morning whenever you were making breakfast. You loved the peacefulness of sitting at your table, eating whatever breakfast you made that day, enjoying a warm cup of coffee (sometimes two) all while listening to the interesting stories Scott had that day.

“You know, it’s quiet different from the Youtube world.” You joked.

You two began talking about the daily news stories when Scott pointed out a tweet he had received.

“It’s from your fellow Youtuber, Joe Sugg.”

You had never met Joe but you were definitely one of his many subscribers. You followed each other on every social media and you never missed a single video he posted. He would occasionally tweet you saying how much he enjoyed your videos or how much your name popped up within a conversation between him and the boys but other than that, you two were total strangers.

“Listening to Scott Mills in the morning is nice but when accompanied by (y/n), it makes waking up that much easier.” Scott read from his phone.

You cheeks turned a bright shade of pink and you were silently thanking God that you put on a decent amount of blush when getting ready. You’ve always found Joe attractive and wouldn’t mind spending time with him but you never really put much thought into it.

“How’d you feel about that?” Scott asked, with a cheeky smile.

“If I can help him become a morning person, I’m all for it.” You said, laughing.

“I don’t think that’s exactly what he meant.” He said.

Soon enough, the two of you moved on from Joe and onto other random topics. Scott had mentioned how playing a game of Which One would be fun so you agreed.

“Alright, I’m going to give you two options and you have to pick which one you like more or that you’d want to do more.”

The game started off pretty easy, with options like, Australia or England; Twitter or Facebook; Chocolate or Vanilla. But soon, Scott went searching for dirty secrets.

“Paintball with Joe or Movies with Caspar?”

Although you were a fan of both, you had to pick one. “Paintball with Joe.”

“Collaborate with Joe or Zoe?”

“Joe.” You repeated.

“Share a Mistletoe kiss with Joe or a New Years Eve kiss with Finn?”

“Mistletoe kiss with Joe.”

The game went on for a little while longer but eventually, a break was needed. During one of the requested songs, you received yet another tweet from Joe.

“Can’t wait for Christmas, (y/n). xo”

You laughed to yourself before retweeting it.

A/N: I hope you liked it! Requests are open!

Wait so you're in Oxford right now? Welcome to England if so! How do you like it so far?

Yes, I am! :) For the next six months, I’m studying history, literature, and writing at Oxford as an international student. Then in the fall I’ll return to my regular university in the States to begin my junior year of undergrad. So far, it’s been challenging academically, but absolutely interesting all the same. The city is fantastic! I’ve done a bit of exploring outside of Oxford, and hope to do more soon! The short length of daylight and the constant overcast-ness is new to me, but I kind of like that aesthetic haha.

Here’s a photo of me at the door that inspired Tolkien to write the Hobbit/LotR!

Eating and Drinking in Kaas City

As the Empire’s capital, Kaas City has something for everyone when it comes to dining out. Boasting a wide array of restaurants, cafés, and bars, Kaas City offers a wide and diverse mix of places to eat and drink at.

The Raihz is known for its traditional Sith cuisine, friendly atmosphere, and great service. Located few blocks from the Scarlet District, the Raihz prides itself for authentic Sith cuisine and many of the recipes can be traced back to the Old Empire. For Lord Dzatrû Sith cuisine is not just an important part of the Sith heritage but the Empire’s culture and history as well. And as such, all should be able to enjoy it - Sith and Imperials alike.

The Sealria took Kaas City by a storm two years ago with its ingenious use of local ingredients. Having experienced the many vibrant cuisines around the Empire during his tour of duty, Admiral Miska wished to bring them alive using ingredients from Dromund Kaas. Today the Sealria is known for offering a refined and tasteful palate while unifying an integral part of the Imperial culture. Located right at the centre of Kaas City, the Sealria is one of the top-ranking restaurants in the Empire.

The Volmakas offers a classical atmosphere to enjoy a night at the theatre as it is in conjunction with the Kaas City Theatre. The Volmakas is named after the famous opera writer Darth Volmakas, a reminder of the Empire’s rich culture and history that has allowed our society to flourish. In addition to providing a classical menu and halftime dinner services, the Volmakas organises small scale events such as poetry readings and concertos.

Cafés and Tearooms

Tearoom Aurora overlooks the Asha square in the Old City. Offering a wild selection of self-mixed tea blends, such as the Korriban Aurora and the Kaas Tempest, Tearoom Aurora offers the largest tea selection on Dromund Kaas. Teahouse Aurora rouse to popularity in 1532 AE when it was revealed to be the meeting place of Darth Soriu and Minister Nagyson for planning the Battle of Korriban. Since then the Empire’s leaders have gathered in the private rooms to determine our path to victory.

Café Dianthus is named after the famous Sith philosopher, Darth Dianthus, who was known for his thought provoking conversations and his ability to spark heated debates. Cafe Dianthus continues this tradition by organizing gatherings where people are welcome to come and discuss anything from current news to age old questions. At other times, you are welcome to explore the Dianthus’ large library while enjoying a cup of caf.

Konditori Purppura is a quaint little place to enjoy the afternoon by the Arboretum boulevard. While enjoying the freshly baked cakes, tarts, pastries and other sweets, one might have a chat with Lord Adlear, who is always happy to share his opinion on the newest opera or concert. For those less culturally inclined, Konditori Purppura allows one to appreciate the Arboretum and become better acquainted with the nature of Dromund Kaas.

The Nexus Room is located right at the heart of Kaas City and is one of the favourite places for Sith to organise private parties and conduct their dealing. Those not invited to the lavish parties are free to enjoy the music and drinks from the ground floor. The Leisurenauts are well versed in the newest music as well as old classics for all to enjoy. Also from time to time the Nexus Room organises theme nights to mark holidays, events, and occasions.

Pub Kalakar is the oldest brewery in Dromund Kaas. Located in the Old City, Kalakar rouse to popularity in 609 AE when it launched its first product, Dromund brandy. Afterwards Kalakar expanded its products, keeping its pledge of using ingredients from the signature planet of the beverage, such as berries, fruits, and grains. As our Empire reclaimed its rightful territory, more planets -  such as Korriban and Ziost -  gained their own signature beverages that captured the planet’s spirit.

The Black Sleen is a place one must visit if one wishes to see the more relaxed side of Kaas City. Located at the outskirts of Kaas City, the Black Sleen is a small but popular little pub with a friendly atmosphere. Favourite of the military personnel from the nearby base, the Black Sleen organizes weekly quizzes on Kaldays. On Feldays the Black Sleen is filled with live music from local bands guaranteeing a relaxed evening.

Soldier Girl Part 2

A/N: I’m celebrating 300 followers!!! Thanks guys :) Here is part two! More to come! ps. Thanks to @zimeah for helping with this chapter’s plot :)

Tws: reader has ptsd

You met with Zach and Brendon the very next day to discuss details. The job sounded pretty fucking great. Whatever panic did, you did too. Wherever Panic went, you went too. You would secure and patrol performance venues. You didn’t care what your salary was at all, especially because they would be paying your room and board. You couldn’t care less about the money. You would do this for free to be honest. To your surprise, it was more than enough and more than you were expecting. You are living every fangirl’s dream.

They gave you a week to yourself before putting you to work. This gave you time to get everything in order at home, plus pack for the tour. You told your family and friends about your new job and they were all so happy for you. You had been pretty down in the dumps since you got home, so they were glad to see you had a fun opportunity.

After three weeks of touring with them, you were right at home. Your humorous and caring (but take-no-shit army) attitude blended well everyone’s personality. You went on so many adventures with the boys, whether it was exploring the city you were in on a day off, or going to high-class bars. They took you in and happily welcomed you as one of their own.

You and Zach have an excellent partnership. You both kept the crowds really well controlled and handled all situations quickly and safely. The dynamic you had together worked perfectly. You were worried that fangirls wouldn’t really listen to you because you weren’t a guy, but it was quite the opposite. They all responded very well to you.

It was fun when the fans started to recognize you too. When you’d go out to do a food run, people would come up to you and tell you about how they are big fans of panic and that they love you too. It was always a nice little pick me up.

You were currently stopped in Arizona on the tour for a little while. Everyone was happy to stay in a hotel for a couple of days, and you love to have a room to yourself. Finally a break from living with five grown men. Brendon is in a room adjoining to yours, and Zach and the rest of the boys are stay on the floor above. Everyone says goodnight and after a nice hot shower, you’re asleep as soon as your head reaches the pillow.

The helicopter blades whirred deafeningly but somehow the cries of the little girl were able to slip through. You looked down and she was laying on the ground in front of you. You reach out to her. She becomes smaller and smaller and you realize you’re being pulled away. You try to run back to her but you can’t. Your family appears in front of you, shaking their heads, disgusted with what you had done.

Brendon is standing a few feet away from you now. When did he get there? An enemy follows behind him and shoots Brendon down.

“Brendon!” You call into the void. Your voice travels nowhere. You look down and your hands are soaked in blood. You scream in horror.

The enemy is now charging towards you, rifle raised, shouting in a language you don’t understand. You did not have any equipment. Where was your pack? Your gun? Your knife? You were all alone. Weak. Helpless. All you could do was scream.

Brendon awoke slowly to a strange noise, sleep still clouding his mind. It was now silent but he listened closely, knowing that he had heard something, he just wasn’t sure what. He then heard it again. It took a moment for him to register it was your voice, crying.

He didn’t know what to do. You sounded incredibly upset. Should he check on you? Would that be too awkward? What if you just wanted to be alone? But what if you were injured or sick or something? His thoughts were interrupted by your sudden screaming.

Immediately the doubt disappeared from his mind and he was running to the door of your room. Did you get hurt? Was someone hurting you? Were they trying to get to him? Brendon really didn’t care if he was about to put himself in danger. All he could think about was making sure you’re okay.

“Y/n?!” He called urgently. He wasn’t sure what he would find when he opened the door.

He swung the door open and flicked on the lights. He sees you in your bed under the covers struggling wildly and crying, your eyes pressed shut.

“Y/n?” He called in shock as he rushed over to your bed side. Were you in pain? Were you having a nightmare? He wasn’t sure. He placed a hand on your shoulder. “Y/n,” he said assertively.

Your eyes flew open and your hand swung wildly, grazing his face. Despite this, he followed his instinct to put a hand on each of your shoulders. You sat straight up and he keeps his grip gentle, stroking your shoulders with his thumbs.

“Y/n,” He said quickly, “Y/n it’s okay.” You are trying to breathe but it feels like it’s not working. You look at him with a helpless expression. “That’s right, just take a breath,“ Brendon encouraged you.

You shut your eyes and shook your head, coughing on tears and snot. You gasp in an attempt to fill your lungs.

“Look at me, Y/n,” he tells you. You look to him, still feeling completely out of control. “Just breathe.”

“I c-can’t–“ you try.

"Shhh I know, I know, just keep trying,” he spoke gently.

You obeyed, making your best effort. After a minute and some further coaching from Brendon, you seem to slow down a bit.

“You’re safe, Y/n,” Brendon reaffirmed, “You’re okay.”

Your breathing continues to slow down and Brendon gives you some time. Your tears continued to flow but you were quiet.

You look at Brendon. You realize he was here—in front of you. Alive. Relief pours over you.

“Brendon!” You exclaim, throwing yourself into his embrace, “You’re okay!”

Brendon was absolutely puzzled. He hugs you back.

“Yes, I’m okay,” he reassured you with confusion evident in his voice. “Are you okay?”

Your relief fades back into despair. Shame comes over you.

“I’m sorry,” You whispered, “I’m so so sorry,” you looked down and started to cry. Brendon furrowed his brow.

“No, no, Y/n,” Brendon comforted you quickly, “It’s okay.” You just continued to cry so he sat down cautiously on the edge of the bed and wrapped an arm around you. You melt into him. He scoots closer to hold you properly.

“Brendon I’m so fucked up,” you cried, “I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t even be here.”

“Y/n, you are right where you belong,” Brendon counters, “I wouldn’t want anyone else at my side but you and Zack.”

“I have ptsd, Brendon,” you admit in a whisper.

“I know,” he replies simply. You pull out of his embrace and look at him.

“You do?” You ask nervously. How? He nods, holding your eye contact.

“And I have an anxiety disorder,” he replies.

“I know,” you reply.

“Do you think I’m fucked up because I have anxiety?” He asked, “or that I shouldn’t be here?”

“No, of course not!” You reply incredulously. His face filled with question and concern as he spoke softly:

“Then why do you think that about yourself?” He asked slowly with a certain honesty and wisdom that overwhelmed you. You pause and look into his eyes.

“I don’t know,” you said quietly. He let you think for a moment. As you gazed at him, you noticed a scratch across his face, the skin a bit broken.

“Oh my god Brendon!” You said, dismayed, covering your mouth, “Did I do that?!” You reach up and investigate the wound closer.

“Don’t worry about it,” Brendon replied, putting his hand over yours and guiding back to your side.

“I’m so sorry!” You still feel horrible.

“Y/n,” he said bluntly, “it’s okay.”

“Oh god my one job is to keep you safe and I injured you!” You throw your hands up in the air in defeat. Brendon giggles a little bit and you look at him. The adorable smirk on his face makes you laugh a bit too with a sniffle.

“I think I’ll survive,” he chuckles. He pauses. “You know,” he started, “A lot of veterans have ptsd, Y/n.” He wants to make sure you understand you are not at all alone.

“I know,” You reply hesitantly, “I just never thought it would be me. I thought I was… Stronger than that.”

“Well, clearly it doesn’t speak to how strong you are,” He smiled, “You can take people down in the blink of an eye.” You smiled back. He became serious again. “But really, Y/n,” he said honestly, “It doesn’t mean you aren’t strong. Sometimes our minds deal with things in different ways.”

At that moment, you had never been so grateful to have Brendon in your life. Suddenly you take in what is happening—Brendon and you, alone in your hotel room, having a meaningful conversation, while cuddling on your bed. Dear god.

“Thank you Brendon,” you say quietly, unable to articulate just how thankful you are.

“Of course, Y/n,” He told you. “You know I’m here if you need to talk, right? I know I’m technically your employer, but that’s just not how things work with us. We’re not a business, we’re family.”

You smile gently and simply hug him. He holds you tight.

“Thank you Brendon. Now go back to sleep,” You say, “I’m sorry I woke you up.”

He stood up.

“Don’t be sorry,” He replied, “I’m glad I was here.” He nodded his head towards the door. “I’m right here if you can’t sleep, okay?”

You nod.

“Goodnight,” You said.

“Goodnight, Y/n,” Brendon said as he flicked off the light.

Once you were alone, a new realization crashed over you. You had feelings for Brendon. Oh shit. The way he was so gentle and kind… You weren’t sure if he was being affectionate or just a good friend. The man you used to fangirl over is greater than you had ever imagined, and suddenly attainable. What have you gotten yourself into?

The next morning, you all met up for breakfast and start to eat.

“What happened to you face?” Dallon asked curiously, cocking his head, being the dad as usual.

“Oh I think I scratched myself in my sleep,” Brendon lied effortlessly, “I have a hangnail and apparently it did some damage.”

He’s covering for you. Thank god for his time in Kinky Boots. His acting was coming in clutch right now.

“Gees, I thought some crazy fangirls got to you,” Kenny joked.

“Naw,” Brendon said with a laugh, “Y/n’s way too good at her job to allow that.”

Everyone chuckles in agreement and you totally blush. You hope no one notices. Brendon looks right at you and gives you that smile, some softness tagged onto the end. You might melt. Oh god. You like your boss. He might even like you. Oh god.

The Sweetest Shape

So this is a day later than I had planned, but now it’s time to catch up with the ADA, the Caterer, their son, their cat… and some not so welcome guests!!! As always, for @svu-stories!!! Enjoy!!!

Dinner. On Friday night. With your… family.

Seeing the Red Sox aside, your desire for anything else Boston stopped and started with Zachary’s smile after somehow catching a fly ball. Maybe one day you and your boys would take in a second game at Fenway, lunch at the Bull & Finch or Quincy Market, both inspiring Cheers, both places where no one knew anyone’s name. Perhaps you could explore the flowered paths of the Emerald Necklace. Whatever the outing, best to end the day incognito, never let them know that you were within the city limits…

…but suddenly it was a moot point when you learned that certain denizens of Beantown were making their way to the Big Apple.

“Who do we have the pleasure of hosting?” Rafael asked while you reread the text message and nibbled on a nail. Great. Now you were going to need to fit a manicure in between cooking a gourmet meal and redecorating the entire apartment.

“My Aunt Bridget and Uncle Pat,” you said, abandoning the nail and beginning to grind your teeth.

“Which ones are they again?” he asked.

“My mom’s sister,” you muttered. “Her girls have the perfect skin and the teeny tiny waists.”

Without wanting to, your mind flashed back to unbearable sleepovers under Aunt Bridget’s roof. Ally and Amy were never your friends, and the fact that your mother always failed to pack pajamas left you to borrow sleep shorts and tank tops that made you look like and feel like Bruce Banner when he was angry.

And as Aunt Bridget always so helpfully pointed out, who could like you, let alone love you, when—?
