weird and unnecessary

anonymous asked:

Am I the only one that finds a similarity between anti's obsession with Freddie and houies' obsession with mitch? Liam's proven to be a way more convincing father and Steve has countless of times shown support and have given compliments to both Louis and the fandom yet Liam's son and Steve never got this amount of obsession. It's baffling. And I agree with you, this whole obsession over him is really weird and I won't be shocked if Mitch isn't too welcoming of it.

adskfdlks no you’re completely right and it’s hilarious

basically every single person i’ve seen obsessing over mitch (a dude who we’ve barely seen speak or smile) to a weird, creepy, and unnecessary extent is an out and proud houie or a houie who isn’t stepping forward yet but who is……………extremely obvious based on what they’re reblogging and who they’re following and what they’re not reblogging :))))))

i’m guessing some antis and other random yikes harries are living up this poor disgruntled guy’s ass too, but i don’t look at their blogs or see them on my dash (thank god), so i don’t have to witness that embarrassment.

Viktor Nikiforov is the dork we love.

My favourite Viktor moments are when he is an adorable idiot.

I love exploring Viktor’s character because despite being the most senior character among the skaters and being seen as the one to chase and look up to, this boy truly does a lot of stupid things. To be fair, 27 is still quite young. It’s a shitty age when everyone plus their dog seems to think you know what you are doing except you. I can tell you all the weird decisions and unnecessary drama people have and get into at 27, but then this post will never end.

Now, we know about the whole banquet fiasco and the whole impulsively flying to Japan arms open, dick out thing, not to mention the whole car park “let’s shatter his heart” shenanigans, but I also have these screencaps stewing for maybe a month in my phone because I remember I was rewatching the show and these just made me go, “Oh, Viktor.”

Okay, so we know Hot Springs on Ice all started with Viktor’s idea…

…to which Yurio gamely accepts the challenge and issues his own (while Yuuri adorably panics in the background like the puppy he is)…

…which Viktor also accepts.

Look at him all excited.

Here, though, is where Viktor gets himself in trouble:

He’s been riling Yurio up the entire morning that the kid just up and threw a tantrum and demanded this prize. But then, no problem, since it’s not like Viktor had to accept or anything–

Yuuri’s face when Viktor agreed, though.

*sigh* Same, Yuuri. Same.

It seems that it’s not until later that Viktor realises the trouble he put himself in. At this point, we didn’t know yet just how invested Viktor was in Yuuri Katsuki (i.e., very invested and nursing a weird kind of crush, probably) and how important it is that he doesn’t coach just anyone, but Yuuri Katsuki only. How ever good Yuuri could potentially be, however, there was still a big chance that he could actually lose to Yurio. Yuuri sometimes choked during competition. Yurio, on the other hand, was the juniors gold medallist. There was a very real possibility that Yurio would win and Viktor to have to go back to Russia.

Having realised this, Viktor then began to sport this face:

Yeah, tell me about it.

This is Viktor during Yurio’s performance:

At this point, Viktor didn’t know yet that Yuuri had a breakthrough on his Eros performance. As far as he knew, Yurio was the one who found his Agape. While Yurio’s performance was not perfect, he was doing well enough. But Viktor does not want to go back to Russia. He wants to stay in Japan and get to know Yuuri Katsuki. He can choreograph for another skater, sure, but he does NOT want to be Yuri Plisetsky’s coach.

That, right there, is what Viktor Nikiforov looks like when he knows he is in very deep shit.

What’s interesting though is that these expressions were not really blatantly pointed out in the show. No one notices this, and Viktor just stands in his corner looking like that. With what knowledge we had at episode 3, we don’t know, maybe he just looks thoughtful because Viktor Nikiforov is just a mysterious character. Lol, but rewatching this after season 1 is over?

Yeah, Viktor. Because of you, for about an entire episode, we were in danger of never having the events that would lead to the kiss at the Cup of China, the exchange of rings in Barcelona, and the glorious masterpiece that is Yuuri’s record-breaking free skate. Viktor, Viktor, Viktor… sometimes just… *facepalm*

Thankfully, Yuuri DID find his Eros at the last minute, wins the competition, and consequently saves Viktor’s gorgeous but impulsive arse and gives us the wonderful events of season 1. Thank you, Yuuri! ♡

Lol, look at how happy and relieved this dork is:

There he is, ladies and gentlemen, our Viktor Nikiforov - king of impulsive decisions. For a long time we thought he was such a mysterious character. Now, we just… wtf, we know him better and we love him very much, but sometimes

Viktor, no. For fuck’s sake.

*sigh* Same, Yuuri. Same.

Bonus: Viktor during Yuuri’s Eros performance. He probably realised he’s safe at this point, and I bet he was enthralled again, and possibly getting turned on by Yuuri Katsuki falling in love again.

Oh, Viktor.

Literally apart from that weird and unnecessary fat-shaming comment at the start of the episode I am so impressed? I feel like this is the Doctor Who I used to love. Bill already feels like a real person with real emotions and a backstory that we’re going to explore. We have the companion’s POV instead of the Doctor’s POV, which seems to work way better. Bill is ALREADY calling the Doctor out and making him a better person with the added bonus that although she respects him, she’s not fawning over him like he’s a god or something and there’s no danger of him becoming her romantic fixation and making everything she does about him. Also this is probably a small thing but Bill dresses like a normal young person and looks like a normal young person. She’s really relatable (a lot like Rose was back in the day) and I think that’s going to allow a lot of people to get on board with this show. Oh, and one last note, the dynamic between Twelve and Bill is really good and healthy and they already feel like a team. There are definitely Donna and Ten vibes as far as the whole Bill demanding respect thing and I love it.

What Ardyn did wrong... and why everything was wrong with Noctis’ fate

Ardyn is the most interesting character in FFXV, indeed. Mysterious man of no consequences. Despite his horrible actions, a lot of people being sympathetic to him, because Trash Jesus is very charismatic person with aura of tragic, misunderstood hero, who was punished by terrible Gods for nothing.

But people simply ignore a big elephant in the room.

Ardyn didn’t cure Starscourge.

He didn’t fullfill God’s task, he absorbed Starscourge within himself, but didn’t destroy the plague properly.

But why? Why didn’t he sacrifice himself like Noctis? Why did once selfless and kind man choose the path of Accursed?

There is popular fanon that Ardyn was both - Chosen King and Oracle, but I doubt it. There is no evidence for it, aside once dropped “healer” during Ardyn’s speech. But nature of Ardyn’s “healing” was different from actual healing.

One more reason why I didn’t support Oracle!Ardyn fanon - Oracle bloodline has already existed 2000 years ago.

In the distant past, Bahamut, the Draconian, descended to the mortal realm and graced the people of Tenebrae. From among them, he handpicked a pious maiden and bestowed upon her the power of the Stars and his trident. Using these gifts for the good of all, she became the first Oracle—she who joins heaven and earth.

In Cosmogony books Chosen King always portrayed with the First Oracle behind his back.

The Crystal and Ring of the Lucii were delivered to the king of Lucis by the astrals before they entered a deep sleep.

Ancient King had Crystal and Ring. Covenants with Gods were forged. But something went wrong. But something stopped him.

Okay, here is my theory.

Ardyn didn’t want his Oracle to die.

[If you don’t like the idea of another forced lovestory and idea of straight Ardyn at all, you can replace Ardyn x Oracle with Ardyn x someone significant to Ardyn, who’s death was required to fullfill the Prophecy. I went with Ardyn x Oracle as example, because it helps to cover massive amount of plotholes in noctluna storyline. I included another variants under the cut.]*

[you can also said that Ardyn x Oracle or “Ardyn wished to save his s/o” wasn’t mentioned in game. But Ardyn’s backstory is very vague and almost nonexistant in game. More information about Ardyn spread across different media (Ultimania, guidebook, interviews). E.g. only recent DLC revealed that first Chosen King had his own Shield and Ardyn has his own Sword of Father]

Just like Noctis he fell in love with her and just like Ravus he wanted to find a way to save her from her destiny.

Why I think so?

Usually we tried to find answers in the past, but due to “glorius” FFXV storytelling I would pay attention to the present, specifically to Noctis x Luna plotline.

Since the first day of release I had wondered why Luna didn’t join Noctis and bros after Insomnia’s fall. She loved him, she wanted to hear his voice once again… but she went her own way. The pursuit of Imperial army wasn’t a big problem, because her brother was in charge of Nifflheim military. But for some reason she avoided Noctis’ company.

It doesn’t make sense at the first sight.

It makes sense if we assume that 2000 years ago happened incident when certain Chosen King failed his job, because he wanted to save Eos, but without Oracle’s* sacrifice.

The earliest accounts of covenants are found in ancient times dating back to the time of the Cosmogony, some two millennia ago. According to such tomes, the rites are a means by which the Oracle summoned forth the gods, that she might make the will of mortals known to the divine.

Lunfreaya is Oracle. She knew about Prophecy, her and Noctis’ fate, Ardyn’s identify and many other important things. I’m pretty sure that she also knew why previous Chosen King was a mistake didn’t comply his mission to cure Starscourge.

[don’t forget that she was trained by Shiva in disguise]

Luna’s illness is weird thing, which seems unnecessary on first sight. Why should we care about it, when she is already dead? What’s the point of this ass-pulled revelation?

Now imagine if Noctis was aware about her illness. Imagine if Luna joined chocobros after events of Kingsglaive. Imagine her travelling with them, making covenants with Gods, helping Noctis with trials… and slowly dying.

What would Noctis do if he learned “price of the covenant”?

I think we know the answer.

Until Luna’s death Noctis didn’t see himself as Chosen King. He wanted to save Luna and nothing else. He fought against Empire, he wanted to beat the shit out of Ravus, because he thought that Ravus hunted Lunafreya, he would have done everything for her, but he didn’t know what actually killed Luna. He was misguided by Luna herself.

[and then Lunafreya… told Noctis about Prophecy again]

It also explains why Gentiana didn’t help to save Luna in Altissia. Luna should’ve died. Her own precense kept Noctis from fulfillment his duty as Chosen King.

Almost everyone, who knew about Prophecy, tried to hide from Noctis horrible truth about his fate and, which is more important, Luna’s illness. Gentiana, Regis, Luna, Ardyn (just how fucked up is plot of this game if “good guys” used exactly the same methods to manipulate Noctis as main villain) deprived him of any chance to change something. Looks like they were afraid that Noctis can choose another path, isn’t it?

I put Luna’s illness over Noctis’ future sacrifice, because Noctis was ready to die young. It was revealed in Ignis Brotherhood Episode, when Noctis realized that like his dad he will spend his life sources to hold the Wall around Insomnia. Ofc, he didn’t expect to die like in this one cutscene, but he was ready to die anyway. Luna is whole different thing. Her death was last straw for him.

Although, there was a moment, when Noctis had a chance to learn the truth from another character, who was also informed about Prophecy and constantly tried to mess up with it.

Back to chapter Five, when Noctis met Ravus first time. There is a common misconception about this scene, a lot of people thought that Ravus wanted to kill Noctis and Ardyn saved him.** But I think that real reason why Ardyn interrupted them was this particular line:

Ravus told Noctis about trials and consequences, but Noctis didn’t mind about it… and you know what happened later.

Congratulations, Noctis, you fooled yourself.

[now there is another big question - why Luna didn’t write Noctis about Ravus’ true position?]

After this event Ardyn took Ravus on leash. Ravus himself wasn’t dangerous for Noctis, but Ravus’ knowledges and intentions were dangerous for future sacrificial lamb. Remember: Noctis shouldn’t have a choice.

People compare FFXV with FFX and FFXIII a lot. These games are opposite to each other. In FFX and FFXIII characters didn’t accept their fate so easy as characters in FFXV, they fought for their lifes and lifes of their beloved (Lightning and Snow wanted to save Sera, Sazh wanted to save his son, Tidus wanted to save Yuna), they fought against destiny, broke the rules and won.

It always bothered me that chocobros never demonstrated any serious resistance. But, well, they simply didn’t know what’s going on. They were desinformed from the beginning.

[That one character in FFXV who just wanted to save his sister was labeled as villain and turned into monster. Just think about it]

Now back to Ardyn and his possible past. Imagine him travelling in company of his King’s Shield, Oracle and may be his own versions of Prompto and Ignis. Imagine them fightning daemons, camping, making covenants with Gods…

But something went wrong. Oracle is dying. Ardyn wanted to save the world, but not for this price. He tried to find a loophole… and he was tricked or made a deal with Ifrit. From perspective of mortal man it was perfect deal - he can save everyone by healing absorbing Starscourge into his own body without sacrifices. But from Astrals’ point of view it was nothing. It was temporary solution.*

I never liked Noctis that much***,but I think that his situation was horrible. People that are most dear to him treatened Noctis like possible failure aka Ardyn 2.0. They were afraid that if he finds out the truth, he will get out of control. They did everything to prevent Noctis’ possible resistance to his fate.

All these people prioritized Prophecy over Noctis’ life, happiness and free will.

Just like Ardyn.

It wasn’t even “kill one to save many”.

Everything is wrong with Final Fantasy XV story.

Reader x Jongin

EXODUS, College AU; A sleepy Jongin suddenly and accidentally exposes his power to you one late night.

First installment of Nikah, @lovesehunright and I’s college au series!

Jongin’s voice is low and childlike as he whines out his protests at your stubborn self. “Y/N, really, I’m walking you home.” He huffs, watching with ‘cold’ eyes while you step into your worn down tennis shoes and grab for your jacket which- a sigh- was to be found in his stubbornly raised hand.

“Jongin, please.” You pout, reaching for your jacket with another sigh and a reassuring statement, that no, he didn’t need to walk you home, just over campus, this late. It wasn’t that late, anyways.

Your jacket is lighter than expected, and you hurry it over your shoulder before placing your arms through the arms of the fluffy jacket. There is only a single light illuminating Jongin’s small dorm room, casting a yellow light over the strewn out empty bags of candies and soda bottles. His bed is messy and unmade after the two of you had spent your whole Sunday night up into it, watching all your favorite movies.

A few hours earlier, Jongin had called you up and told you that his roommate was out for the night, begging you to come over. And so you did, and now you were as tired as ever, stifling yawn after yawn and stretching out your stiff legs by his door.

“It is that late, actually.” Jongin says dumbly. “It’s almost one in the morning, you do realize we watched like four movies. That’s like- what, 1,5 hours times four?”

A third sigh - one that transitioned into a jaw-ripping yawn. “Don’t even start, Jongin, seriously. I have math class at nine tomorrow morning.”

“Today morning.”

WRITING TIP

do NOT point out someone’s eye color for no reason.

bad ex: he looked around with (color) colored eyes

this is very distracting and unnecessary and keeps the writing from flowing. is their eye color relevant to the story? if the answer is no, then don’t point out their eye color. this also goes for other things such as hair color, skin tone, etc.

when you’re describing someone, it’s fine.

ex: she had (color) hair and (color) eyes

if their eye color is relevant, it will most likely be something like this.

good ex: the teacher looked at me with her cold, (color) eyes and i immediately sank in my seat.

this is relevant to the story. you’re describing her gaze, so it’s relevant to point out her eye color. if you’re talking about the noun already, then bringing up an adjective or description is fine. bringing up a description when no description is needed makes it obvious you’re just trying to boost the word count. more words doesn’t always equal better quality. more description doesn’t always equal better quality, either.

bad ex: she looked at me with her brown eyes.

that’s basically saying, she looked with eyes. well duh, what else is she gonna look with? doesn’t saying it that way sound weird and unnecessary?

good ex: she looked at me with her brown eyes full of sadness.

this is where bringing up the color is relevant. you’re describing how her eyes look: sad. mentioning that they’re brown helps bring up a better visual of how her eyes may look.

another good ex: she looked at me with her brown eyes. i love brown eyes.

this is, again, where bringing up her eye color is relevant. the protagonist mentions they love the color brown. does that mean they’re going to fall in love? do they feel sick from hatred, since their enemy has an eye color they can’t help but adore? it all depends on what you’re writing.

normally, mentioning her eye color for no reason like this would be bad and distracting, but the protagonist obviously has some sort of fascination with brown eyes, thus making it relevant to mention the color.

i’m not the best at explaining things, but hopefully this helped some people realize their mistakes! this is just something i’ve noticed when reading stories that really irked me, so hopefully some people learned from this ouo

How To Be a Liberal Feminist

*Sees girl in revealing outfit* “Yaaassss girl, slay!”

*calls woman of color a white feminist*

“Feminism is just as much about men as it is about women!”

“How can I get into porn??!”

*ignores thousands of years of systemic oppression*
“Can only women and people on the gender spectrum comment on this post”

*Brings up how we need to find some weird, unnecessary way to include trans women into issues that don’t affect them like abortion and periods*

“Lady dick!”

“Do whatever makes you happy!”

*Mocks foot-binding but wears stilettos at least once a week*

“You believe in science? Ugh TERF”

“You view sex workers as victims? SWERF!”

“Everyone’s a feminist if they believe in equality!”
*Mocks safe spaces for women and people who advocate for safe spaces for women*

*Talks about sex daily on public platforms because sex positivity*

*Puts the needs of a man’s feelings before the wants and needs of other women*

It’s not that Return of the Jedi is in any way comparable to the prequels in terms of weird, unnecessary shit, but there are some super strange scenes they include, like the laughing rat monkey thing, and the one weird external shot where something eats something else, and the scene where two random henchmen of Jabba’s palace cry over their dead monster. It’s not that they’re particularly terrible, they’re just…inexplicable.

R2D2 with a built-in drinks tray, on the other hand, is clearly meaningful to the plot and absolutely necessary.

I made a gif because why not?

I have a creative block-buster exercise I do called “Weird and Unnecessary”. Usually it’s drawing something silly for no reason so I can have fun drawing again (when I’ve been stressed over a hard assignment). Sometimes it’s pulling a clip from a fave episode of a fave old cartoon show and then spending an absurd amount of time cropping, editing the sequence and retouching/restoring each frame. Enjoy!

People seem confused about the MBC and SBS splitting episodes thing. To make things a little simple: you still get the same thing every week. Two days of the drama a week. An hour each for those two days. They just split an episode into two and referred it individually as episodes now.

For example: MBC’s Ruler.
On its premiere (May 10), Episodes 1 and 2 came out(30mins each). The next day, Episodes 3 and 4. Instead of 20 episodes, because of the split, they’ll have 40 episodes. Every week there’s 4 episodes.

It’s the same for SBS’s Suspicious Partner.

I really don’t get why they have to do this though. It’s so weird and unnecessary.

People commented that they were confused with Ruler because they didn’t realize that they skipped episode 2 after watching 1, and watched the episode the next day (episode 3).

"This pair of glasses will help you to read in the dark."

This is a very weird AU i’ve been thinking of after re-watching Rise Of The Guardian with my sis yesterday … Anyway it’s something mixed between Monster University , too ;3; Gajeel as a “Boogie Man” student ( lmao okay calm down ) , but he secretly liked those fairy tales - which were taught to Levy - a “Tale Teller Fairy” student . While Gajeel’s mission was to give children nightmares , Levy’s was making those wonderful stories come to their dreams . And then one day ( or i’d love to say one night ) , Gajeel got caught reading a kid’s fairy tales book while doing his mission , of course Levy was the one who caught him off guard , then , little by little , they became friends , really good friends . Levy shared all the wonderful stories with him , spent nights together watching those children fall asleep and many things more . Levy and her stories changed the way Gajeel was supposed to be : A boogie man . A bad guy .

//Sorry for my terrible English , this piece really needs some explanation ;3; and sorry for changing Gajeel’s personality like that…

I’ve read tons of posts about dress codes in US schools. Recently I even read an article about a girl who was sent home for having a top without sleeves. It’s so weird that our online magazines have started to cover it. And all of this seems like a dystopia to me.

Here’s a thing: Finnish schools do NOT have any dress codes. Like, at all. Nothing. As long as you have all legally demanded parts covered. Also, teachers might sent home a note if they notice a young child not wearing a hat or a jacket in winter (it’s FREEZING but hats are not cool yo).

I attended this elite high school (no, not EXPENSIVE, education is free in Finland, elite as in nerds and good teachers). All kids in there had the best grades of our entire country. It’s also a very old, traditional school that has produced many artists, politicians etc. for us (Finland is a small village but compared to that, those people are great). And what did I wear to this fancy school?

Leather skirts, so short everyone saw my garters. Skin thight red tops so open that you could see the color of my bra. Fishnet stay-up socks. Leather boots with stiletto heels. And I also sat on my desk most of the time, so all boys behind me could clearly see all the glory of my high-heeled legs. I admit, I was bit of a goth kid then.

Guess what? Everyone passed the classes. I did not cause all the boys in our year to fail. Actually, they got used to it so quick nobody even noticed my clothes. And nowadays I attend a respectable office job where I dress in a modest (altough personal) way. Because in Finland we let kids be kids. I had plenty of time to learn professional dress code after I’d had my fun.

TLDR; Dress codes for kids are weird and unnecessary and not having them will not make the world burn.

It hurts me that runningwind wasn't trusted to be a mentor by bluestar. Like first of all, doesn't the boy deserve a chance? Second of all, ain't no way he's less patient than tigerclaw or darkstripe, third fireheart was always having running watch his apprentices! Like idk he seemed good to me, clearly fireheart trusted him with the apprentices. Idk it was also such a weird unnecessary thing like @erins why did you forsake runningwind just because you could?!

idk i mean maybe running didn’t want apprentices lol, like runningwind was bluestar’s apprentice himself so maybe he went to her and was like “ya….i hate kids no thanks”

Tri Spoilers

I feel the new trailer has kinda spoiled some of the films best moments since they take some of the tension out of it… On the cast talk, they didn’t say much of interest, since we hadn’t seen the movie, so anything interesting would have been a spoiler…

Cast Talk
Sora’s va had invited other cast members to her concert and they came, so she felt like they were family. They twirled around in the uniforms and said they thought the movie was interesting. Next broadcast is those two + Mimi, with Takeru as the MC, because he’s cheerful and able to chat. He called himself ponkotsu (useless, terrible etc) and said he found it difficult, so Sora should do it, but she said she was ponkotsu too. Mimi’s va is the ‘you can do it’ senpai, so the announcer said the three of them probably balance each other out lol

Warning: I was working on three hours of sleep and did have a teeny tiny bit of alcohol before the movie (I get tipsy easily :/) so I may or may not have missed something.

Shipping moments - honestly whenever someone asks me about a ship moment I never know if they’re talking friend or romance. Because in all honesty, character A can look at B and half of tumblr will say it’s code for them dating. So when y’all say ‘moments’ I never know what you’re thinking because half of you exaggerate nothingness into canon. So when I’m asked about moments, I talk about times when characters interacted. I hope that clears things up.

Also please slow down on the shipping asks. I deleted over 10 messages. Patience is appreciated. So is not being rude. I’m happy to talk about literally any ship, but don’t spam me and demand answers. You make your ship and the fandom look bad. (Also why are y’all on anon I don’t bite lmao)

After Hours

Some Alex/Eliza smut for the Lounge AU me and  @minky-for-short have been playing around with for a while. If you haven’t read her fic for it, you really need to go do that, it’s so good. But here is a short, sexy drabble from the same AU! Enjoy!

Alex had heard a lot of people in movies and television shows, the kind he avoided with a ten-foot bargepole for the most part, go on about how secrecy added a tantalising thrill to relationships. How the whole tragic, star crossed lovers’ thing was so romantic and exciting and exhilarating.

But after a few weeks of experiencing it himself, in real life, he’d firmly decided that that was bullshit.

Okay so he and Eliza were hardly Romeo and Juliet but still. He felt pretty damn close to challenging some of the rowdier, asshole customers to a Shakespearean duel when he had to spend his shift watching Eliza. Watching her sway and sashay up on the stage, the soft lighting catching the rhinestone edging of her dress where it hugged her full hips, highlighting the delicate curves of her arms through the sheer sleeves, illuminating her skin. Her long fingers trailing up the microphone stand as she purred and rolled her way through her songs, hitting each note perfectly and sounding like an angel, Alex couldn’t tear his eyes away as her fingers brushed and trailed and suddenly grasped hard at the stand in time with the music, making his knees feel weak. She was always sure to smile just a little and catch his amber eyes in her sweet dark ones whenever there was a particularly racy lyric or low note or growl in her voice, just so he knew that it was meant for him, no one else in the bar or the whole damn world. Just him.

More than once John had been required to tap him lightly on the shoulder to remind him that he was supposed to be pouring that whiskey in his hand into the glass, rather than just into a puddle on the bar top. Alex would jump a little defensively, mutter that he was just enjoying the song and be silently thankful that the bar covered him from the waist down.

So yeah. The whole secret relationship thing was turning out to be a lot of frustration and fidgeting and really, really wanting to run up and kiss her in front of everyone in the place. Or even just at least hug her when he saw her walk in, after having to take two train rides to hide the fact that she was spending every night at his apartment. That just an hour ago she’d been so tangled up in his arms, curled around him so tightly that he’d felt all the empty places in him healing just from her warm touch.

To hide the fact that for the first time he could remember, he was happy.
