With the Batman removed from the streets of Gotham City, Harvey Dent’s forces and the Children of Arkham are at war, with innocent citizens caught in the crossfire. To escape the ‘comforts’ of your padded cell, you must choose allies to aid in your escape, even if they aren’t the sort to put a smile on your face. How far are you willing to go for justice? For vengeance?
It’s another tense, action-packed episode featuring a first appearance by a grinning future adversary….. We can’t wait for you to dive back in and fight to save Gotham City with your choices!
Special note:Players will leave this episode in very different places depending on where they choose to go in the third act, and this will greatly affect their story rolling into the season finale as well.
On this day in music history: November 28, 1987 - “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 1 week, also topping the Adult Contemporary chart for 4 weeks on November 21, 1987. Written by Franke Previte, John DeNicola and Donald Markowitz, it is the biggest hit single from the film and soundtrack “Dirty Dancing”. Previte, a member of the New Jersey based pop/rock band Franke & The Knockouts, is approached by Jimmy Ienner, the bands’ former label boss at Millennium Records and the soundtrack supervisor for “Dirty Dancing” to write some music for the film. Without a record contract at the time, Previte at first turns him down, but Ienner persists and finally he agrees. It is selected for the films’ finale by choreographer Kenny Ortega and Miranda Garrison, along with “Hungry Eyes” which is given to singer Eric Carmen to record. Released as the lead single from the soundtrack in September of 1987, it quickly becomes a smash. Entering the Hot 100 at #73 on September 26, 1987, it climbs to the top of the chart nine weeks later. The huge success of the film and the song drive sales of the “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack to over 11x Platinum status in the US, selling over thirty two million copies worldwide. “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” wins numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Medley and Warnes also win a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 1988. “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” is certified Gold in the US by the RIAA.
SUPERGIRL, “Medusa”, November 28, 2016, Actors: Chyler Leigh, Floriana Lima, Helen Slater, The Scenes: Alex comes out to her mother & Maggie and Alex get together
Aimee Hicks: Maggie tells Alex that she wants to be with her and they kiss. This was a beautiful culmination of the first part of Alex and Maggie’s journey together. They’ve been through a lot in the short amount of time they’ve known each other. No matter what they kept finding themselves coming back to each other. They are drawn to one another and nothing seems capable of keeping them apart. At any given time they’ve both fought to maintain this unique relationship they have. Alex has wanted her thing with Maggie to be more almost from the start, but Maggie held her off trying desperately to just maintain their relationship as just friends. Given the way Maggie acted around Alex the only person she was fooling with the friend’s bit was herself. After being shot by Cyborg Superman she came to realize the lies she’d been telling herself to be able to maintain Alex as a friend. When she showed up at Alex’s apartment she was on a mission. She knew she’d screwed up by denying Alex’s attempts to move their relationship to the next stage. We’ve seen how calm, cool, and collected Maggie is in almost every situation, but here she was a bit frazzled and struggling to find the right words. Alex makes her nervous and makes her feel things that scare even this strong confident woman. It was lovely to see Maggie be the one to push them to the next stage. When she finally worked up to her point of randomly visiting Alex late at night she turned to her with so much conviction in her voice and love in her eyes that there was zero doubt of what she was about to say. She was on a mission to get Alex and that she did. She pounced forward and grabbed Alex’s face before pulling her into a kiss I imagine she’s been thinking about since Alex first kissed her. This was a full circle and beautiful scene. Chyler Leigh and Floriana Lima have insane chemistry and when these two actresses are working their acting magic they look at each other with so much love that it’s easy to see the love each character is harboring for the other. It was powerful acting of a real moment that took courage from both the characters and the actors to pull off. I must give major kudos to Leigh and Lima for not holding back on that kiss and really going for it. Alex was stunned and when Maggie went in for the third kiss she didn’t even kiss back and when Maggie pulled back she stood there with her eyes closed for a moment longer than necessary as she was likely trying to calculate if the kiss really had just happened. This was a beautiful display of true emotions perfectly captured and brought to life by two gifted actresses who are determined to do right by this impactful storyline they’ve been gifted with. Klutzy girl: Alex comes out to her mother. Chyler Leigh has continuously been knocking this storyline out of the park, and this was no exception. I love that Eliza immediately figured it out because Alex won’t stop talking about Maggie and tells her daughter that being gay won’t let her down. That Alex was always going to be different and exceptional and she loves her. Then the hug! It was an absolutely amazing and emotional moment. Donna Chidley: The scene where Alex comes out to her Mum or rather her Mother guessed. Not a dry eye in my household.
I’m very sorry. Only a rough sketch of the idea I had. I had a very hard day and it wasn’t good at all. I’m just frustrated and disappointed I hadn’t the time to make this better. I’m pretty sure, Misty silently wished now and then, Delia was her Mom, because she’s literally the Mom she never had. And seeing Delia acting in the show makes me feel, she’d just love to have Misty as a step-daughter. Let’s say she adopted her silently when Misty started dating Ash. ;P

Nielsen’s November Sweeps begins Thursday, October 29th and ends Wednesday November 25th
Head’s up, Olicity fans! We’re about to move into November Sweeps, so buckle your breast-plates and brace yourself for some heavy network trolling, baiting, and shockers to get your eyeballs on their shows for the next 4 weeks.
What is November Sweeps?
Basically it boils down to this, the rates networks charge for 2 minute ads are “decided by” sweeps ratings. Sweeps are four week periods that happen four times a year (February, May, July, and November) & survey hundreds of television markets (i.e. cities/geographical areas) across the United States. Basically? Sweeps are the times networks & shows use to “value” their shows so they can charge advertisers more to put their commercials on their shows.
Sweeps = Network Money from ad revenue.
What do November Sweeps Mean To You?
They mean you should be prepared for every dirty network trick in the book to get your to watch their show – from cutting promos to look like something that totally plays out differently, to past favorites returning, huge stunt guest actor visits, explosions, bullets, bombs, love scenes, teased “deaths,” teased births, teased everything! that will get your ass in front of your TV to watch their show. Anything they can do to freak you out, ramp you up, get you talking & get you watching, they will do. It’s shocker, shocker, shocker, twist, stunt, more shockers! So please keep that in mind for the next coming weeks.
What Arrow Episodes Are Included in November Sweeps?
This week’s episode (#4) is not included in November Sweeps. Sweeps will not start until the day after. So Arrow episodes included (and Warning! The links below will take you to spoiler information) will be:
Episode #5: Haunted (and look, special guest star for this one)
Episode #6: Lost Souls (and look, another special guest star for this ep)
Episode #7: Brotherhood (no details yet)
Potentially Episode #8: Legends of Yesterday. I mark this one a “potentially” because it falls on November 25th, the day before the USA’s Thanksgiving Day. Traditionally, this is a re-run day because everybody’s traveling and prepping for the holiday and it always winds up being a low ratings night for everybody. We don’t know yet what Arrow is doing, but if I had to guess? I’d wager re-run on this day instead of running the risk that lower ratings will dent the average established with the above 3 episodes. Time will tell. Soon as I see info for it, I’ll post about it.
So consider yourselves warned, fandom. November Sweeps is coming & so is all the stunts and tricks to get you buzzing, worrying, excited, and – most importantly – watching.
