Sign-ups for the first issue of the quarterly queer comic webzine, Queerly Comiqs, are now open!

If you would like to sign up, send us an ask saying so. If you want check-in emails from us, the editors, please include an email address we can reach you at! We will not spam you or share your email with anyone or anything, period. Check in emails are very casual things we send out reminding our comic artists about deadlines and checking to see if they are still participating. If you’ve signed up and asked for check-ins, but later want to drop out of the zine or stop receiving emails, send us an email and we’ll stop immediately.

Sign-ups are not binding. It’s just a way to gauge how big our issue will be. If you have signed up (but haven’t requested emails) and you are no longer able to participate, don’t sweat it, you don’t have to say make excuses to us! The theme for this issue is New Leaf.

#2 - A Comic About Having Dyslexia.

I was diagnosed with dyslexia only two years ago, after spending a lot of my later teens saying to myself “I think I have dyslexia”, and if you know what it’s like to be diagnosed with a learning disability as an adult without private health insurance, you can bet I was absolutely exhilarated.
I really wanted to be a writer when I was younger, but when it takes you six months to read a book, and have what people would lovingly call a “scatter-brain”, writing kind of gets benched for another day. I guess that’s why comics seemed like a logical next step, in both the writing and reading aspect. (Also because drawing is more fun than being descriptive?)
