All the love
I was right, he didn’t come in the next days. The first days were awful, and my thoughts cycled around him. Every night when I hold my book of prayer in my hands, I think of him. Slowly I start to relax, to feel again. I allow myself to open up a little bit.
The night was warm for early May,
an unexpected gift tucked into a cold and dreary spring. For a city that never
sleeps, it was strangely quiet, the ever-present cacophony having melted into
the velvety black of deep night.
Head down, hands tucked deep in
his pockets, Bucky Barnes walked slowly down a familiar side street. His mind wandered
down alleys and avenues he’d rather forget, and he accepted he wouldn’t find
sleep tonight. Insomnia was a common occurrence for him, it always had been.
Before the war, he would roam the streets of Brooklyn, the darkness a
comforting cover to the dilapidated buildings that made up his neighbourhood. He
would walk until his feet hurt, until the dense black turned to hazy grey, welcoming
colour back into the world.
The old brownstones rose up
around him, the bricks wet from an earlier rainstorm, and smelling faintly of
sunshine and ageing clay. Pausing next to a dark, weathered old bench, he reached into his jacket
pocket and pulled out a cigarette and vintage lighter. With a practised hand,
he flicked the lid and struck the coils, a steady flame appearing. He
slipped the cigarette between his lips, and cocked his head forward, touching
the end to the fire, inhaling deeply, letting the nicotine flow into his system.
He really should quit smoking, he thought ruefully.
Another day, perhaps. One when
his heart wasn’t trying desperately to stitch itself back together.
There it was. A soft light blossomed
in the apartment across the street, and in the silence, he heard the faint sound
of piano keys. A sheer curtain covered an open window, fluttering gently in the
soft breeze, and he saw the outline of a woman sitting in front of a small
upright piano. Her fingers trailed across the keys, striking a chord here and there, while the rich sounds carried quietly but clearly through the night.
Bucky sank slowly onto the bench, waiting.
There was a pause, and then an
achingly familiar melody drifted from the window, one from another life.
“You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh…the
fundamental things apply, as time goes by.”
He could see her shadow swaying gently
to the music, shifting her shoulders to follow the movement of her fingers as
they danced across the keys. Bucky took another drag, the cherry burning bright
red, slowly exhaling as he whispered the words to accompany her song.
“Moonlight and love songs never out of date. Hearts full of passion,
jealousy, and hate. Woman needs man, and man must have his mate, that no one
He leaned forward, elbows resting
on his knees, his eyes never leaving the window. He could feel the prick of
tears and he blinked them away. He remembered the first time
he heard this song, at a smoky jazz club in 1939 Manhattan. He remembered the
last time he heard this song, the pure notes floating up from this same piano.
“It’s still the same old story, a fight for love and glory, a case of do
or die. The world will always welcome lovers…as time goes by.”
The final chord vibrated in the
air. He dropped the cigarette, grinding it out with the heel of his boot. If it
was a fight for love and glory, then he was all in. With one last glance at her
window, he squared his shoulders and turned toward home. He could win her back.
Hookiebobb IPA from Crazy Mountain Brewing in Colorado. Hoppy, balanced, and fresh, it says. Ok then.
The beer wasn’t because I assembed a chair from Ikea. Putting it together took 10 minutes and was fun. Everything fit wonderfully. There was one leftover part which confused me. I asked Sheila to sit in the chair. “It’s your new chair,” she replied. “You should sit in it first.” Apparently she was on to my plan of having her test it.
Then I checked the parts list and realized Ikea included one extra part apparently by mistake.
All is good. It’s not a part that would be useful anywhere else in the house so I should throw it away. Of course I put it on my tool bench instead.
The weather was shitty today. Ikea was packed with people who wanted to get out of the house. The checkout lines were long. I choose mine poorly. There was a long line and a short line in one section. Thinking some people weren’t paying attention I moseyed up to the end of the short line. Moments later I was locked in place by more customers waiting to pay.
Long line: 7 people, each with one or two large items. The cashier was the Billy the Kidd of Ikea cashiers the way she wielded that scanner. An Olympic 400 meter dash was slower than this line.
Short line: 4 people, each with 19 or 29 tiny items. The cashier was a nice guy but each time he politely asked “Did you find everything you needed” I wanted to try some ventriloquism. “Yeah, of course! Hurry please!” is what I wanted to project his way. In the time I was trapped in his line I could have assembled a movie theater’s worth of Ikea chairs.
So I waited, patiently, I must say. The man in front of me had two young daughters, about 4 and 6. They were touching everything and trying to open stuff near the register. He read his phone and ignored them. “Dad, I want this chocolate. Dad I think I need this tool kit. Dad I want to open this box of 370 pieces of hardware.” I kept waiting for the crash of some Ikea product all over the floor but that they package stuff pretty securely.
When we have pizza guess who shares the most with the dogs.
“Okay,” Blaine says, excitedly taking a seat beside his husband on a weathered wood bench on the pier, looking out over the ocean, “I got my crab, I got my butter, you’ve got your crab, and…” Blaine peeks over at his husband’s lap, expecting to see Kurt preparing to dig in to his lunch.
Kurt has his crab alright, but it’s not exactly about to become lunch. Blaine’s eyes flick to the crustacean in Kurt’s hands, pinched cautiously between his husband’s fingers as the creature waves its claws in the air.
“Uh, Kurt” – Blaine gestures to Kurt’s Dungeness – “your crab seems a little…undercooked.”
“Well” – Kurt holds the primitive little beast a bit further away when it begins to snap at the air – “that’s because I had to hold him for a second while the guy at the crab station fixed his steamer.”
Blaine nods. “And…” he says, needing more explanation than that.
Kurt looks down at the crab, then back at his husband. “I named him Petey.”

Looking through your room window, you
stared at the dark sky. There were no stars and it had been cloudy just like
Today could be regarded as the worst day
in your life.
No matter how hard you worked, nothing
would go right. You would always mess up something. Today, you messed up badly
that your boss scolded you and cut down your salary which you needed badly for
your tuition fees.
You reached for your phone in your pocket.
The cold air slipping into your apartment, but it didn’t work to cool you down.
Dialing the one and only who could save you in any situations, you hoped he
wouldn’t be busy, or you would scream out of the window with no shame.
After the third ring, he answered you.
“Hey, Y/N.” He sound like you cut him from doing something.
You pouted, playing with the hem of your
hoodie. “Are you busy?”
“Me? I was working on something.” He said
and you cursed underneath your breath.
Even your savior was busy, you felt
lonely all of sudden. The weight on your chest heaved and all you could think
of is curling in the bed, crying for your messed up life.
You sat on the faded bench in the middle of the quiet park, just like you did everyday. There was something about this particular place that always felt calming to you, though you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. With a deep sigh, you took a sip of your coffee and waited for the stranger to join you.
You didn’t know much about him- only that he loved nature and didn’t like the taste of coffee or tea. He wore a long trench coat over his suit and never changed his tie.
“Hello,” The stranger smiled at you.
“Hi.” You smiled back, happy to see his cheerful face.
“I am Castiel,” The man told you. “A friend told me it would be rude not to tell you my name. His name is Dean.”
You bit your lip and held your hand out. “Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N.”
We know full well there’s just time So is it wrong to dance this line? If your heart was full of love Could you give it up?
“That’s a beautiful name.” Castiel told you. “Now I understand why my Father picked it.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “What?”
“One of my sisters has that name.” He told you.
“Well, she has a great name.” You laughed.
“Can I ask you something, Y/N?” Castiel asked.
“You just did.” You laughed.
Castiel tilted his head to the side and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “I do not understand.”
You shook your head smiling. He was just too cute. “What did you want to ask me?”
“Do you believe in angels?” He asked you. “And do you believe in fate?”
“Maybe and yes.” You responded.
“What do you mean by maybe?” Castiel pressed.
“Just that I’ve never seen an angel.” You told him with a shrug. “It’s a little hard to believe in something without seeing one.”
Castiel placed his hand over yours on the weather-worn bench and gave you a smile. “Maybe you have.”
‘Cause what about, what about angels? They will come, they will go, make us special
Don’t give me up Don’t give… me up
“Sorry, what?” You asked, confused.
Castiel placed both hands on the side of your face. “Y/N, promise me that you will not scream.”
You apprehensively nodded your head. “Okay. I won’t.”
In an instant, Castiel’s normal baby blue eyes began to glow brighter as angel wings appeared as a shadow being cast on the trees behind him.
Almost as soon as it began, Castiel was back to normal.
“That’s not supposed to happen.” You deadpanned, standing up.
“Y/N-” Castiel began, but you cut him off.
“I don’t know what to say,” You shook your head before adding, “I have to go.”
How unfair, it’s just our luck Found something real that’s out of touch But if you’d searched the whole wide world Would you dare to let it go?
“Y/N, wait.” Castiel gently grabbed you by the forearm. “Remember when I asked you if you believed in fate and you said yes?”
You nodded your head, urging him to go on.
“Y/N, we are soulmates.” He told you gently. “My Father created you for me.”
“You’re not human.” You repeated.
“No, I am an angel of the Lord.” Castiel reminded you. “But we are soulmates.”
“How do you know?” You asked. “How do I know that you aren’t playing a trick on me?”
Castiel placed both of his hands on cheeks. “You know that I would never lie to you. Deep down, you know.”
You slowly nodded your head. “Okay, let’s say that I believe you, what happens now?”
Castiel grinned, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “We can spend the rest of our lives together.
“Is your life dangerous?” I asked him.
“Yes,” He told you abruptly. “But I will always protect you, Y/N.”
“Cas, how did you know that I was your soulmate?” You asked.
“Because you have the most beautiful soul.” Cas told you.
Cause what about, what about angels? They will come, they will go, make us special
Don’t give me up Don’t give… me up
'Cause what about, what about angels? They will come, they will go, make us special
It’s not about, not about angels, angels
Cas took a step back and held out his hand. “The choice is yours, Y/N. Will you come with me?”
You smiled and grabbed his hand. It wasn’t a hard decision at all. “Always.”
Noah’s routine involved hanging around campus, bouncing between the Vixen Den, Fox Tower, and his actual classes looking for familiar faces to spend the day with. The last one seemed like the biggest waste of time, today, especially when he walked to the far side of campus just to see a piece of paper taped to the door indicating his class was cancelled. Sighing, Noah turned on his heel, wondering what he could possibly do; almost everyone else he could bother was either in class or working, but he found himself enjoying the nice weather on a bench outside Fox Tower, hoping someone he knew would be by soon enough.
In the meantime, Noah ended up flipping through a few apps on his phone, time passing slowly as he clicked on articles he wasn’t even interested in just to make the minutes seem faster. Eventually, someone he recognized got closer as he mused aloud, “Wow, Halloween’s a lot closer than I thought it was, and I don’t even know what I’m gonna be yet.” Looking up and noticing the person, he decided to ask, “What about you?”
“Thank you, Madam.” You said as a women in
the middle of 30 handed you a cone of chocolate ice cream.
His favorite, you thought. You walked down the path of the boulevard while licking your
ice cream until it’s a half left before you decided to sit on a bench. The
weather was great, sunny but it didn’t burn your skin. Everybody was out,
hanging around with their family and friends or just walking their dog.
You checked up your
phone, almost ten, almost the time for you to meet your lovely husband—Hanbin—at
his work by surprise. At that time, you recieved a text messege from him.
Loveee~ Hows my babies doing???
You giggled as you
managed to reply it. He always send you one sweet messege or two before his
stage. And no matter how long you guys been doing that since the first time you
date till now you had a baby growing in your womb, you always got flustered by
Yes, Hanbin and you’ve been
married for eight months and you were pregnant for five months and still
counting. Hanbin was always took a great care of you in every way he could. He
was the one who running through the dark of the street at at 2 am when you said
you wanted a cup of red bean ice or a bowl of hot rice cake. Or he was always
carried you to bed room when you overslept in the living room waiting for him
to got home. And Hanbin wouldn’t hesitate to serve you breakfast in bed even
his best fried egg wasn’t the best one you ever ate.
You smiled to yourself,
you were just so lucky to have him beside you through thick and thin. And now
you guys were waiting you your first child. Your life would be completed in
just months away.
Don’t forget to have a delicious kimchi soup you wanted for lunch. Lets
just spoil our baby with amazing food! He sent another messege while you were walking ahead the
next intersection. A couple blocks away and you’d be there ready to watch
Hanbin and his group live perform.
You watced carefuly at
the backstage before the mini concert so you don’t get caught by Hanbin that
you secretly coming to his event.
“Noona!” A surprise hug
came from Chanwoo while he was getting ready with his mic. “Did hyung knows you’re
“No, Chanwoo. That is why
I need you help to sneak me in to this chair without telling a soul about this.”
Chanwoo nodded and held
your left hand while taking you to a door that connect straightly to the
audience chair. He pointed a place where you should have a sit and you thanked
him for that.
You stroke your baby bump
slowly as someone greet you with her warm smile.
“y/n unni? You look good
“Really? Thank you!” you
scream a little since the background music had started and it was loud so you
wont hear anything unless you scream. “You look cute, too!”
You didn’t know her at
all. Buy maybe she knew you from the news about you that spread every here and
there when Hanbin and you started dating each other. And you felt really
grateful for the fans who support you guys a lot at the day you were announced
to get marry.
The opening stage was
begin, you could see Hanbin from your seat clearly and he looked damn good. Everyone
there was jumping their ass up and down while you were just standing still
without any moves that could hurt your stomach. The crowd cheered out loud when
the boys ended their opening stage dance.
Jinhwan started to
welcome the audience as always and June was being dork along with Donghyuk and
Yunhyeong. Bobby screamed ‘make some noise’ while Hanbin being dragged by
Chanwoo. Chanwoo pointed his mic towards your way and that was when your eyes
He lookes surprised as he
jumped on the stage before the guys noticed what is their leader doing. You
waved toward him and the boys started teasing Hanbin about your presence.
“So today we have our
special guest watching our live perform.” The crowd scream once again as June
finished his sentence. “Leader hyung looks so happy today.”
“We’ll show our best for
the fans who managed to come and watch us here!” Donghyuk bowed and that ecxact
time the light in the stage went off before the boys came back performing their other hit song.
The concert was over few
minutes ago and you decided to meet Hanbin at the backstage. You spotted him
sitting on a table with his phone trying to call someone—trying to call you.
“You don’t have to call
me, you know?”
Hanbin turned around
after he heard your voice. He was sweaty and looked tired but still find a way
to you to give you a tight hug. He kissed you on your forehead and smile
“How can you didn’t tell
me about attending my concert?” Said Hanbin with his cheek-to-cheek idiotic smile
plastered on his face. “We could go together this morning.”
“I like to surprise you,
okay? The baby told me to do this.” He chuckled to hear your answer.
Hanbin bent down to your
stomach level and grab your waist. “Hello there, lil pumpkin? How can you tell
mom to come here without telling me first, huh?”
You laughed along with
the stuffs who still gathered there. Hanbin kept talking with your belly when
suddenly the boys came and Yunhyeong joined Hanbin.
“Uncle would be happy
whether you’re a girl or a boy, okay?” Yunhyeong said and Hanbin pushed him
“Well actually…” You
stopped and got that curious stare from your husband. “I went to the doctor this morning and she said it’d be a
both you and Hanbin and they started jumping around the room.
Hanbin pulled you closer
and leaned to your ear, whispered to you, “I love you so much.”
Suzuya, Ayato, Tsukiyama, and Uta realizing that they're in love with their S/O? Good luck and have fun with your blog!! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
(´7` Thank you.)
Suzuya and his significant other were sitting close to each other on a park bench. The weather was fine and the overall atmosphere was simply tranquil and pleasant. The two were sharing sweets from a food stand they had come across earlier, though Suzuya ate the majority of the treats.
Suzuya’s significant other let out a small sigh and crumpled up a candy wrapper. They placed it to the side and then leaned their head on Suzuya’s shoulder. He couldn’t help but smile— he adored it when his partner did such cute things. He quickly returned their affections, giving the top of their head a small peck.
As Suzuya pulled away, he felt something entwine with his fingers. He looked down to see his significant other’s own digits gripping his hand. His heart practically skipped.
Suzuya was overwhelmingly happy to just be with his significant other on any ocassion, but something had recently began to feel different. As he looked at his partner’s peaceful face as they sat there, he thought to himself how he would be willing to go to any lengths to make them happy. He would gladly make sacrifices for them and he would do everything to protect them from harm.
While Suzuya hadn’t had any experience with such intense feelings for anyone before, he knew that what he felt for his significant other was love.
Ayato looked down at his significant other. Their head was resting in his lap and their eyes were closed. Their breathing had slowed down slightly and they looked perfectly serene— they had fallen asleep.
While Ayato let out a small huff, he really didn’t mind that his significant other had drifted off. Neither he nor they had any plans today other than staying home, spending time together. Plus, he thought his partner looked extremely sweet when they slept, though Ayato would probably never admit it.
He brought a hand down to his significant other’s face and gently stroked it. They remained asleep. Ayato allowed a tiny smile to show on his face— they had always been a sound sleeper.
Ayato knew that he had developed exceedingly strong feelings towards them for a time. However, it wasn’t until now, as he gazed at their sleeping figure, that he realized, or even acknowledged, that he was in love with them.
Tsukiyama and his significant other were sitting on the bed. The couple were reading books, however Tsukiyama had long ago stopped paying attention to his. Instead, he was taking joy in watching his significant other.
They were just so focused on their book. Their eyes flickered from line to line and their expression was quite serious. Tsukiyama quietly laughed to himself. It was rare to see his significant other with such a tense expression.
While he studied their facial features, he felt very content. While the two weren’t really doing much at the moment, it was still pleasant. Tsukiyama experienced a sense of happiness to be spending time with his significant other like this.
Though he enjoyed socializing, in many ways Tsukiyama thought that being alone with his partner was better. While Tsukiyama was prone to frequent and intense emotions, the way he felt towards them was different. He realized that he would gladly trade anything to make his significant other happy; he would do whatever he could to protect them.
As he sat there with them, he realized that such a feeling could only mean that he was in love with them. Tsukiyama made sure to think of ways to express his new realizations through his actions, making sure that his significant other knew the magnitude of his love for them.
Uta’s significant other stood in the middle of his shop. They were observing some of the masks he had recently created. While Uta usually was completely devoted to whatever he was working on at the moment, he found himself preferring to watch his significant other.
They looked at Uta’s work with a curious expression. Reaching out with one hand, they gently ran their fingers over the patterns on one of the masks. Normally, Uta wouldn’t be too fond of someone touching his projects, but he trusted his significant other.
He wondered when he began to feel such amounts of trust towards them. It wasn’t as if there was a time where Uta had severely distrusted them, but earlier on in their relationship, he may have still felt a little weary if they were to even have been at work with him.
Now, however, Uta found it to be slightly endearing that they seemed to be taking an interest in what he did. He enjoyed having their company as he worked. He simply liked being around them.
Uta realized that the intense feeling that surpassed general fondness and affection for his significant other was due to the fact that he had fallen in love with them.
