Prompt:  “You can share my jacket with me, since you’re shivering.”

Character: Poe Dameron (Suggested by anon)

Warning: N/A

If there was one thing you hated about winter no matter what planet you were on it was the cold. You were never especially well equipped to deal with the cold, you were so used to warmer climates that you almost always forgot to bring jackets or wear warm clothing when the colder months started to rush towards you all.

Hence why you were currently walking around the Rebel base trying to catch up with Poe’s long legged stride, all the while shivering and cursing the weather. It was suffice to say that you didn’t actually catch up to Poe, more like you managed to finally sit down next to him once you reached your destination at a meeting with some of the rebel leaders. He was far too quick a walker and apparently getting inside was more important than going at the same pace as you, although by the way he talked to you as if you’d been there the whole time you had a feeling he hadn’t actually noticed you lagging behind. Goddamn it, Poe.

Even inside the meeting all you continued to shiver, rubbing your hands up and down your arms in an attempt to getting a little more warmth. You really needed to start bringing jackets with you everywhere this was getting a little ridiculous.

“You can share my jacket with me, since you’re shivering.” Poe must have noticed, he slipped one arm out of his infamous jacket offering a space to curl up next to him. Perhaps it wasn’t the most professional thing you two could ever do, but would anyone really care? No, no they wouldn’t. They’d much rather you be warm and listen to what was going on than cold and ignore it all in favour of cursing the weather.

You slipped next to Poe, your left arm going through the sleeve of the jacket which was far too long for your short arms, and your right side pressed up against Poe. Both of his and your free arms curled around the other person and you pressed yourself as close to Poe as possibly. He was completely and utterly warm and you almost didn’t listen to the meeting now because you just wanted to stay there and fall asleep.

“Thank you” You got a light kiss to the top of your head for the trouble, and the both of you turned your attention back to General Organa and what she was saying.
