A friend told me she was going to LA, but not to see comedy or go hiking or anything particularly fun. She’s helping a friend move.

Which led to us joking about how LA is the city of moving, and how she hopes LA lives up to all the moving hype. So then I opened up Photoshop and made a bunch of quick, shitty fake promotional images for Los Angeles as a city where people are always moving.

Making hyper-specific goofs for one person feels great, because when you send something like this, I’m sure part of them is thinking, “No way he actually put effort into this throwaway joke.”

But that very process has led to some of my favorite goofs! I rewrote a Duolingo email because I overheard two friends talking about how they woke up to that guilt-trippy email from Duolingo. I made that joke thinking about how I wanted those two specific people to laugh and not much else, and I think that one tweet has been passed around on the internet enough to where it’s been seen over a million times now.

I think my point is, making something is more fun if you think of it as a gift more than a piece of work.

Nathaniel: you killed my father. i hate you.  i literally hate you.  i came here to kill you but i’d settle for robbing you.  looking at your face makes me angry.  i would rather be hanged than be near you.

hey so i know i dont usually post about romanian things but i need to say this

so last night (yes, in the middle of the fucking night, like the filthy thieves they are) the romanian government passed a law that, basically, makes corruption legal (if its under 45k euros, which is a LOT) AND they’re going to let all the (few) people who (they barely) arrested for this out of prison…

i know this isnt as important to america as trump, but this is HUGE to us. there were (as far as i know) 90 thousand people protesting last night (the last time there were protests this big was in 1989 when communism fell, just to give you a perspective) and there are going to be even more today

this country has had problems with corruption since the dawn of time but i dont reckon it ever being made LEGAL. i just figured id bring some awareness to this…

here and here are two sources

  • me: hey mom and dad can we go
  • them: yep
  • them: continues talking
  • me: seriously im tired can we go
  • them: yeah lets go
  • them: continues talking
  • me: i want to leave
  • them: okay honey
  • them: continues talking
  • me: mom. dad.
  • them: okay, okay, we're leaving
  • them: continues talking

When people are still making posts pointing out how Cecil isn’t a suave dresser like we get it, you’re salty about the popular headcanon, but damn we know how he dresses. Just let us draw him in a ugly suit, gosh, it’s not hurting you.

Update

Sup guys? We wanted to give you guys an update about what will be going on here in the next month.

I know we tend to go quiet every once and a while since both of us have unpredictable lives that just love making us busy as all hell, but this time we are letting you guys know ahead of time. We might not be as active with mini comics and doodles as we have been the past few weeks. The reason for this is because of the main series of comics for this blog have been neglected. We seriously need to get back to working on those and putting our focus there if we want to move the full story/stories of this blog along. We only have three more big comics left till we get to the first arc/story event and we should have already been there a few months ago.

So hopefully you can continue to hang in here with us as we finish these next three comics and prep the blog for the arc. After the new two comics come out, we will also post an Update about the upcoming arc and a hint image to what it’s going to be about. So look out for that eventually.

Some doodles, asks, and minicomics will still come out, but not as much as it has been. Also the milestone comics will get finished, they will just take a bit. We apologize for the wait/delay. We need clones so we can do this faster.

In other news, we have also made a Coffee button for this blog and our personal ones. It’s there if you ever wanna help wake us up to get working on these comics faster.

Thank you all for finding interest in RB and sticking around! It means a lot to us and we love you guys~ <3

Calling all codebreakers:

If you make a post about a solved code - be it ARG relevant or not, please include the original code, the type of code it was, and any keys etc. to solve it.

A vital part of code solving is developing a literacy of codes - being able to look at it and go ‘that looks like a Caesar, that looks like an ASCII’ etc.

We will not develop that ability as a community without your help to make these sorts of connections - and skills as a whole are much better than having to rely on a few bloggers to be solving a problem.

I need to make sure you know this.

Despite the pain, the despair, the utter defeat, we have to remember that we are still who we were yesterday. This election will not change us. It will not change our values, our hopes, our dreams, and our perseverance towards a better future.

If you voted, you did all you could have done. If you fought, you did all your could have done. And if you will continue to fight, then you will do all you could have done. This country has seen times that are unimaginable. This country has brewed hate as much as it has inspired hope.

We have a history. But that does not impede on us having a future.

Don’t let this keep you down. Don’t give up. Don’t roll over and sign off defeat as this final notice. Find the people who are afraid of this result. Find the people you love, who you want to help, who you know are as horrified as you and protect one another.

Because if one good thing comes out of this, it will be us, fighting, rising, and prevailing.

I love you all. Stay safe. Stay with family.

Stay yourselves.

No one can convince me that there isn’t a tracking device integrated into Shiro’s mechanical arm. There’s just way too much evidence.

  • Maybe you could explain away the Galra ship following him to Earth. Half the empire is probably out searching for the Champion who was going to be Zarkon’s greatest weapon.
  • But then they instantly track the team to Arus, and no one knows how.
  • And then the Robeast literally homes in on Shiro and Pidge as they examine the crashed Galra ship.
  • And the Galra knew Team Voltron was headed back to the Balmera and prepared for their arrival. (Lance blames it on Rolo, but (a) no one ever mentions the Balmera to Rolo (that we see), just that they need to help “a hero named Shay” and “her people,” and (b) we never see Rolo and Nyma get picked up by the Galra so that they could have passed on the information they might not even have.)
  • Once again, the second Robeast zeroes in on Team Voltron, magically. (Allura even comments on it this time. “How do they keep finding us?”)
  • Oh, and then there’s the finale, where Zarkon has a fleet waiting in ambush for the “surprise” rescue mission. The team jump into the center of a gas giant to avoid detection, but Zarkon is ready. Cue Keith: “Why do I get the feeling these guys knew we were coming?”

Individually, you could explain each of these away, but taken together it’s got to be more than just coincidence. After all, Haggar had big plans for Shiro. Do you really think she would take the risk of her precious weapon getting away from her?

Oh, and don’t forget the team’s all separated now, which means Shiro likely won’t have any backup when Zarkon comes chasing after him. :)

So, uh, who else is looking forward to Shiro getting recaptured in season 2?
