FOREVER BElonging WITH
YOU is a direct sequel to the new official novel WE DO knot ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Picking up right where it left off as
Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, and Ishida are leaving Renji and Rukia’s wedding
reception this work covers the night of the wedding up to the day Ichika is
born as the newlyweds learn to navigate their new life together while preparing
for the impending arrival of their first child. RenRuki is front and center for
the majority of the story but just like WDkALY it ends with a heavy focus on
The exact date of the wedding ceremony is unknown so for the
sake of story specificity I have set it on December 27th…the day
the novel was released in stores. Ichika’s birthday is also unknown as of yet
and again I have taken liberties with this.
Because WDkALY has not been fully translated into English
yet there may be some discrepancies that come to light later on. However I
have done my absolute best to ensure everything is as accurate as possible
based on what we have so far.
This may be the longest piece of
writing I’ve done to date, and all while I was not in the best of health. I’m
very proud of this accomplishment.
Along with this silly mock cover you’re in for 8 decently sized chapters (or “Parts” as they’re called within the text) and 18 illustrations. The writing part is complete and I will try to post a chapter every few days or so as I finish up the illustrations.
(Fair warning: This one is definitely nsfw and for mature readers only.)
We gripped each other’s hand instead of the blade to create a new path.
I liked a lot of scenes in the novel, but I think what I loved most was this quote from the wedding invitation. Their hands had been a symbol for their separation, but turned and stands now for their bond and future.
WE DO Knot ALWAYS LOVE YOU Part 17 Full Translation.
6th sector - Kuchiki clan ceremonial shrine.
Many shinigami were gathered at both sides of the path extending between the gate of the shrine to the shrine itself. Some came rushing in their usual shihakushou, others wore their hair up and were dressed in beautiful kimonos.
Because there is no god in Soul Society, religious shrines or temples do not exist within the Seireitei. Many people revere the Soul King like a god, however he is only a King, not a god. In Rukongai, several temples have been built to enshrine the gods and buddhas that the residents had worshipped during their lifetime, and all of them are temples into which the residents had brought over their beliefs from the Human World. The Kuchiki clan have built a shrine in front of a mausoleum dedicated to the spirit of their ancestors, it is used as a venue for rituals and ceremonies. From family meetings to wedding celebrations and funerals, every possible Kuchiki clan event is held at this shrine.
the fact alison, rachel and helena all got detailed flashback episodes into their history just proves to me more and more how much of an outlier cosima’s episode was. what did we learn about her life other than the fact that she grew up on a boat and her parents “gene” and “sally” weren’t around much in her youth, but they definitely love her.
i know people are saying “just enjoy the last season” but it’s honestly such a disservice to cosima’s character that we should find out about her past this way. this character, by the way, who upfront told leekie “show, don’t tell” – and yet we, as an audience, are very clearly told about her backstory, as opposed to shown.
we were shown young helena. we were shown young rachel. we were shown alison with aynsley and chad again and we got to see her reaction to discovering she was a clone we got to see helena’s reaction to that too poor thing and yet all we get for cosima is an extended scene to something we saw in season 1. a scene that fic writers probably already had done justice to many times over. we didn’t need to be shown that. we needed to be shown cosima’s past. she grew up on boats? show us her mom teaching her how to tie knots. show us cosima having to resort to books (because wifi is spotty on a houseboat, i’d imagine) when her mom’s not around much. show us her other mom (because i love the “jean” not “gene” headcanon) teaching her how to change the oil or however boats work when they dock. show us the proof of their love that cosima says she believes in, show us why she believed in it.
i mean, obviously this is all irrelevant now and there’s no point since the entire show is over this saturday D: but i will never get over how they tried to shoehorn cosima’s backstory in like that, when they gave actual backstories to alison, rachel and helena in the series.
IchiHime WE DO knot ALWAYS LOVE YOU: His confession
Original scetch by Tite Kubo, lineart by me. Haha Hime’s hair is my death. Always wanted to lineart and color the original Tite Kubo’s scetch, so lineart is here. If you wanna color it, do it freely, but please do not edit lineart (i mean, don’t turn characters into another characters, i’m serious guys). I’ll color it myself just a bit later okay? xD
