First Lines

SOoooooo!! Fun! I was tagged by the lovely @bixgirl1 (I highly recommend the technique of sliding into someone’s DMs and screaming at them how much you love their work as a way to make friends).

(Insert) Bossy instructions.  I will do what I want.  *glares*  (…I may be too bored right now.)

Okay, crazy that I actually HAVE 20 first lines!! So in reverse posting order, here goes.

20. From Puppy Love: Eyes closed, Niall leans against Liam in the car as they head to…“Where are we going again?”

19. From Just Give Me One Thing (That I Can Hold On To): Louis stared at the flight information board first in confusion, and then in mounting rage. Cancelled. Cancelled. Cancelled. What the fuck?

18. From What’s Another Word For…: Louis kicked off his shoes by the front door of their Queens apartment and tossed his coat over the newel of the bannister.

17. From Accidental Buttplugs: “And so,” Harry concludes, “We can see from these end-of-year-sales projections…” His voice trails off as a text flashes up onto the screen the screen of his iPad, and, is, of course, projected onto the screen on the wall, because for once, the integration is seamless. Louis: So I accidentally bought butt plugs!

16. From The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth: Louis shifts on the sofa, and hopes he doesn’t look as awkward as he feels. He hasn’t been allowed to be alone in an interview with Harry since France in 2012, and they all know how that turned out.

15. From There’s No Wrong Way to Tumble: L: HARRY. H: Yeah babe? Everything okay? L: NICK GOT THE ACCOUNT

14. From Hold My Heart (written with the amazing @a-writerwrites): Harry looked up from his Kindle as the heated discussion at the ticketing desk turned to full blown shouting.

13. From Open the Closet Door: Louis leans into the mirror, concentrating as he carefully applies first the one set of false eyelashes, and then the other. The bustle in the dressing room fades to background noise as he blinks a few times to make sure they are on securely, and then grabs his eyeliner.

12. From Just the Two of Us: “Cut.” Louis could hear the frustration in Harry’s voice, and honestly, couldn’t blame him in the slightest.

11. From Dance Me (to the End of Love): “Marry me.” The words fly off of Harry’s tongue before he even realizes that he is speaking.

10. From Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance: “Mrrrow?” Louis is juggling an armload of groceries and books while simultaneously burrowing in his backpack for his keys, so he really can’t be blamed for the fact that it takes a few seconds for the quizzical sound to travel from his ears to his brain.

9. From Twist of Fate: Louis yawns and stretches as he steps out into the sultry heat of the late afternoon, eager to get home, get out of his suit, sit on the back deck and drink a beer before he heads over to Liam’s weekly Friday night cookout.

8. From Love Amongst the Bubbles: Standing on the Charles Street station platform, Louis groans and leans back, trying to ease the ache in his back.

7. From Feels Like Coming Home: Harry steps out onto the tarmac at Logan, the humidity of the late August afternoon immediately wilting his curls and drawing the sweat from his skin after the cool of the airplane.

6. From Wherever I Go (You Go With Me): Harry turns into the driveway and parks his car down in the turnaround spot where he always leaves it, making sure there’s enough room for Louis to get the minivan in next to it.

5. From I Always Get Lucky With You: Louis groans as he begins to wake, swimming towards consciousness like a diver rising from the seabed.

4. From This Magic Moment: Harry hangs up the phone in a daze, and flops down onto the couch.

3. From Some Nights: Louis rolls over slowly, the pounding in his head letting him know that opening his eyes at this time would be a mistake.

2. From If I Had Three Wishes (They’d All Be For You): Harry puts the last of the things he thinks he might need for the drive on the passenger’s seat of the car, and slams the door. The car is full, and he hopes he has everything, because if he doesn’t, it’s gone

1. From Now That I Found You: Louis sighs, turns off the tv and drops the remote onto the couch next to him. Having a birthday on Christmas Eve sucks.

Okay, this was fun, revisiting things from the past 8 months or so!!

This article can be used as making Louis even more sympathetic and relatable if they end it, and if they end Elkounor (as it mentions fans "distrust" her) so Louis can focus on his career. And it would work if he was to come out and then said his personal life was fabricated as it's laid the groundwork for why- he's been the one management/label treated like dirt, the one that had to voice 1D's disagreements and was told he wasn't good enough, of course they made him agree to fake kid/girlfriend

It could certainly be spun a lot of ways. I’m interested to see what they end up doing and I’m kind of surprised that there was some blame placed on the label since Sony is still involved but since no one is called out individually maybe they were fine with that. We’ll see where it goes from here. I hope it’s a build up to him shedding the stunts and transitioning from the underdog angle to focusing on his strengths and talent. (That comment about the fans not trusting Eleanor though was….interesting….)

  • Wild Hearts (chapter 3) - this chapter is still very loosely planned, but I can say that we’ll get Klaus trying to get Caroline to feed from the vein (which may or may not work…)
  • A HP Triwizard Tournament AU for @thetourguidebarbie (I promise I’ll actually finish it someday… soon-ish)
  • My Birthday gift for @thetourguidebarbie… Another HP AU, because that’s where my mind goes when it comes to Angie. This one is a little darker (I guess??) and IS GETTING HUGE. Sorry.
  • Ascendancy - a story I’ve been planning for months, but when it comes to actually writing it, it never comes out the way I want it to. So I’m stuck rewriting and editing it endlessly. But it’s kind of inspired by this drabble I wrote last year.
  • Klaus and Caroline go to a sex club (for @ultimaflordolacio, pq amiga é pra isso mesmo)
  • Mates AU where they have the first words they say to each other written on their skin. Everything is the same, except Klaus gets to Mystic Falls much earlier and is drawn to this lovely blonde human who refuses to say a word to him… (based on a prompt by @purestheartslove)
  • and all the prompts I have sitting on my inbox… They’ll all be written eventually, I swear :)

Uhh… I’m too lazy to tag anyone. Just do it if you feel like it!

Kiki’s Delivery Service is one of those movies that I feel any aspiring artist should see. The struggle of Kiki in this movie is one that ANYONE who wants to further themselves goes through, that transition from taking what you love to do to something that you make a living off of.

As artists we have all been in the place where Kiki is. That place where we can’t draw anything right, can’t paint anything right, can’t sculpt anything right, that place where everything comes out wrong over and over and we begin to question if we’re actually good enough for the talents and skills that used to come to us like second nature when we were just using them for fun. That place where we want to give up because we suddenly can’t ‘fly’ like we want to, because everything seems too difficult to do that.

But that doesn’t mean it isn’t there, just because it isn’t working right then and there when you want it to be. If you can always fly, then it wouldn’t make those times when you did as special. It isn’t necessarily easy to grow up, nor is it necessarily easy to live with the artistic struggle of losing inspiration. But you can’t just throw up your hands and say ‘No, I can’t do it anymore’ because you’ll NEVER fly if you do that.

You gotta wobble before you stand.

somebody’s probably talked about this screencap already but i’m????? jesus christ???????????

this is the exact expression i wear when i’m reading through someone’s bullshit. here victor’s coming from the mindset yuri remembers the banquet perfectly, so i can almost hear him thinking “alright, your parents and sister are gone. you can come out now.”

it’s worth mentioning this was also the first time he and yuri were alone together after the hot springs scene, where victor put up some sort of peacock act. emphasis on the cock.

and it wasn’t the only act he put up that night.

when nothing happens when they’re alone, victor decides to probe the “real” yuri out by lowering his voice and being flirty and touching him, which just pushes him farther away.

next time we see him, he’s knocking on yuri’s door, talking about having a “slumber party” in a silly manner. that doesn’t work either, so he goes back to his room and cries until he falls asleep.

i’m?????????????????????????????????????????????????

can you fucking believe victor put up not one, two, but THREE different fronts on the same night? all of which might be roles he’s used to playing very well, but are still not him? he tried to get through to yuri by being everything, everything but himself, and nothing worked, because it wasn’t supposed to. because yuri wouldn’t want a front, he’d want him.

people are always talking about how victor’s character changed A LOT after the beach scene in ep. 4. some go as far as saying the change was a conscious choice by the writers because his character was so “unlikeable”. no wonder yall think that? prior to ep. 4, we’d never fucking met victor? we literally didn’t know who he was? because he was hiding even from us?

holy christ thank you @yuri for telling my son to just be himself he URGENTLY needed it

A/N: ok, I’m gonna be honest with you guys: I did not want to make a 4th part.  I had written the 3rd part hoping it would give you guys enough closure, but you requested more.  Now that I’ve written it, I couldn’t be happier with this ending.  Enjoy!!

(Y/N), Betty, and Archie were running around, playing in the park.  Their giggles resonated through the neighborhood, all the people down the street able to hear the children perfectly.  Archie’s dad sat on a bench, supervising them from afar.  He smiled at the three kids, happy to see his son so content with his friends.  Suddenly, (Y/N) halted, interrupting their game of tag.

“Look over there,” she said, pointing her finger.  She was pointing at another kid who appeared to be their age, scrawny and alone.  He sat on a swing and stared down at his shoes. There was a grey beanie perched on his head, but it was much too big on him.

“(Y/N),” Betty hissed, “my mom said it’s rude to point.”

“Fine,” (Y/N) replied, putting her finger down.  “I won’t point.”  Instead, she marched over to the lonesome boy.  His head snapped up when he heard footsteps approaching him.  “Hi,” she greeted him.

“Hi,” he replied, looking puzzled as to why this girl was talking to him.

“What’s your name?” she asked.

“Jughead.”

“That’s a funny name,” she laughed, but she noticed his angered face and stopped.  “I’m (Y/N).”  Jughead nodded.  “How old are you, Jughead?”

“I’m four,” he replied, sticking out his hand to show the number on his fingers.  (Y/N) beamed.

“I’m four, too!” Jughead smiled at her and the two children fell into a small silence.  Finally, (Y/N) broke it when she asked, “Why are you alone?”

“My sister is sick,” he responded, slouching.  “So now I have no one to play with.”

“You can play with us!” (Y/N) offered, pointing at her two friends who were watching from afar. Jughead’s face lit up.

“Really?” he asked, jumping off the swing.  (Y/N) nodded enthusiastically.

“Really!  And then we can all be best friends.”  She grabbed his hand and led him over to Archie and Betty. “Archie, Betty, this is Jughead.”

“Hi,” Betty smiled, sticking out her hand.  Jughead tentatively shook it.  “I’m Betty.”

“And I’m Archie,” he waved. Jughead waved back.  The children quickly resumed their game of tag, this time, Jughead joining them.  They played for hours until the sky began to darken, Riverdale turning orange under the sunset’s light.

“Kids!” Archie’s dad called out, standing up from the bench.  “It’s time to go.”  The four kids exchanged bittersweet smiles, waving goodbye to their newfound friend.

After that day, Betty, Archie, and (Y/N) started begging to go to the park every day from dawn till dusk. The four of them soon became attached at the hip, and you could not see one person without the other three close behind.  Soon, all of Riverdale grew fond of the tight-knitted friend group.

Two years later, the four inseparable friends found themselves in Archie’s backyard.  Their shrieks of delight filled Mr. Andrews, who was watching from inside the kitchen, with warmth.  They had just grown bored of a game of hide-and-seek, and while Betty and Archie just sat in the grass, Jughead and (Y/N) continued to chase each other around.  Suddenly, Jughead stopped, causing (Y/N) to turn around.  He took off his beanie and, grinning madly, got down on one knee. Betty and Archie gasped as they ran over to watch.

“(Y/N),” Jughead started, holding out his beaning like a ring, “will you marry me?”  (Y/N) beamed as she stared at her best friend.  She took the beanie from his hands and placed it on her head, then helped Jughead stand up.

“We’re much too young to get married, Juggie,” she responded, and Jughead deflated.  “But-” he perked up, “ask me again when we’re eighteen and I’ll say yes.”

“You promise?” Jughead asked, holding out his pinky.  (Y/N) smiled and nodded, hooking her pinky with his.

“Pinky promise.”

Flash forward twelve years, after the first proposal and Jason Blossom’s death.  Past the beanie incident and the flannel, jacket, and sweater incidents.  After the kiss at Pop’s, and many more that happened after that night.

Twelve years after Jughead proposed to (Y/N) with a grey beanie, they graduated.  Through the years, their friend group grew to include others, such as Kevin and Veronica.  After the graduation ceremony, they went to the Lodge’s house for a celebration.  The party was in full swing: music blasting from the speakers, snacks filling up tables, and graduated high school students dancing everywhere.  (Y/N) had managed to get Jughead on the dance floor, both of them laughing at each other’s lack of dancing skills.  She wore his grey beanie and a wide grin.

The party began to die down, everyone growing tired after their long day.  Most people were sitting on the couch, quietly chatting amongst themselves.  (Y/N) sat on Jughead’s lap as they both conversed with Betty and Veronica. Suddenly, Jughead got up from under (Y/N).

“Excuse me, can I have everyone’s attention?” he yelled, successfully silencing the guests.  “Thank you.  Now if you didn’t happen to already know this, (Y/N) and I have been together for quite a while.”  Everyone in the room chuckled.  (Y/N) looked up at Jughead with a puzzled smile.

“What are you doing, Juggie?” she whispered, although everyone was able to hear her.  Jughead winked at her and continued.

“But something most of you probably didn’t know is that I proposed to (Y/N).”  The crowd gasped dramatically, and Jughead smirked.  “When we were six.”  Everyone rolled their eyes and laughed.  Jughead grabbed (Y/N)’s hand and made her stand up with him.  “And she said no!  Something about how we were too young,” he scoffed, and she giggled. “But she did promise me she’d say yes one day.  When we were eighteen, in fact.”  He got down on one knee, and everyone gasped, including (Y/N).

“Oh my god,” she muttered under her breath, her hands covering her mouth in shock.  Tears began to cloud her eyes.

“(Y/N),” Jughead began, fishing around in his pocket.  “I have loved you since the day I proposed to you.  For a long time after that, I thought we were just friends, and I thought that you liked it that way.  And it took me a long while to realize it, but with the help of some of our friends-” Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Kevin shared a smirk, “I realized that we were meant to be more.  Now, I’m gonna try this again, and I’m hoping this time you’ll say yes.  Because, you know, you pinky promised you would when we were six.”  Jughead pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing a beautiful, sparkling ring.  “(Y/N),” he asked, eyes full of hope, “will you marry me?”

(Y/N) couldn’t speak. She gleefully nodded, attempting to wipe some of the tears off her face.

“Yes,” she finally managed to choke out, laughing.  “Yes, of course, Juggie.”  The whole room burst into cheers, and Jughead shot up, placed the ring on (Y/N)’s finger, and kissed her.

Betty turned to Veronica, smiles plastered on both of their faces, and whispered, “Thank god for that beanie.”

Something my husband pointed out to me the other night that I haven’t really seen anybody talking about.

We all know this shot from the Dragons short, right? This is inside Hanamura, in the exact room where Hanzo attacked Genji and put down his sword for good. The blood splatter is even still on the scroll, as well as a small tear where the sword tore through it. Fast forward to Genji’s Blackwatch skin, showing what he looked like relatively immediately after the attack.

Same tit out jokes aside, something doesn’t quite match up. If the tear in the scroll starts at the bottom left and goes upward, it should be Genji’s right pec that’s left exposed, not his left. Yet in this skin, we can even clearly see the cut from where Hanzo basically bisected Genji from his left armpit all the way up to the base of his neck.

But there’s a simple explanation for this: Hanzo attacked Genji from behind.

Turn him around, and suddenly the cuts line up.

Hanzo Shimada, on orders to kill his brother, approached Genji from behind, and used one quick, decisive stroke to basically cut him in half. It wasn’t a battle or an honorable duel, but an underhanded ambush. No wonder he couldn’t believe Genji lived.

English essay planning & finishing off holiday homework this morning. I’ve started doing that thing where you plan each day on post-its? We’ll see how it goes. Also I’m running low on post-its.

Imagine

Here’s my meta about the last clip of episode 5.

  • Our intro shot of the karaoke bar introduces our players. I’m especially interested in how we see Mari and Sara twice each (and sharing one shot).
  • May I just say: I am glad my son Eskild is alive and Extra.
  • We have Chris talking to Sara (we don’t see Sara’s face but it’s her jumper) 👀
  • In general we have a big focus on couples (including Evak) and russebussen people. Showing, again, this season’s themes (love and identities/belongings).
  • We have some Chris and Eva talking about wiring money, which seems like foreshadowing to the russebuss contract and payment.
  • Even is about to sing and no one ships Evak more than Magnus.
  • @newlevelofdesperate wrote a great meta about Even singing “Imagine” by John Lennon. I agree with most of it.
I’ll just add that the song is ironic, just like “I’m Not In Love” in s3e5. “Imagine all the people living life in peace.” Sana is feeling the song at the moment. She feels that everything came together, finally. But it’s not true. She wished she could create world peace (if you gave her the power to do so she would, she really would). But she can’t. Some things are beyond her reach and she still hasn’t managed to reconcile her two identities (Norwegian & Muslim).
Also, I think the song is as much an Even song as a Sana one. Once again.
  • We barely see Mikael walk in, and Elias and the gang look around. Yousef seems to be looking in the crowd for Sana.
  • No shot of the squad until we get a shot of Even seeing them. Then Magnus and Jonas turn to see where Even is looking (not Isak or Mahdi) and we get another shot of balloon squad: no Mikael. Adam and Mutta seem unconcerned. Elias though sees Even and is not smiling (but he’s not looking mad either).
He grabs Yousef who was smiling towards Sana and…the smile falters.

An observation of Markiplier TV

Emphasis on the observation part because I’ve never really been good with theories. I have a number of things to do today but unfortunately, I watched this video and now I can’t stop thinking about it. Hopefully this’ll quiet my mind and let me function, and who knows? Maybe it’ll help someone out there with their own theories too. :)

So, let’s talk about this scene:

We got one hell of a group here BUT what I’d like to focus on is their seating arrangement and what that could mean, because if there’s anything I’ve learned in videos like this it’s that EVERYTHING is by design. This entire table scene (props to the Editor btw) has so much hidden psychological subtext in it, so while I’m no professional I’ll still do my best to uncover them all.

First off, let’s look at the table: Rectangular with two long ends and two short ones. Pretty normal setting yeah, but is it beneficial to their situation (i.e. finding a way to ‘take control’) where everyone easily agrees? Nope. Because tables like these embody competition and a clear sense of authority, and I love this detail. It means that while they could’ve easily gone for a round table to promote cooperation, they go for this because of course, no one’s going to cooperate that easily.

This setting, however, works better in the business cooperative world, because you got two people (Darkiplier & Wilford) who can control the meeting from both ends of the table and are essentially the people everyone will need to look up to.

Here’s a great detail though: In this kind of setting, the more powerful of the two is usually the one opposite the entrance to the room. This allows him not just a vantage point of whoever comes in and goes, but complete control as well. And as we see where King of the Squirrels pops up:

Which we can easily tell was from the right of the room based on the direction his body and eyes shift to, we can point out where the entrance is and who was right there:

But yeah, in this moment it didn’t seem like Will had control over King’s sudden entrance but let’s face it: he doesn’t care. He already knows that there’s more than one king in that room.

Speaking of, let’s move on to the seating arrangement.

Obviously we got Dark and Will at the ends as the higher ups, but I’d like to talk about Googleplier and The Host.

In medieval times, kings would often have their advisors right at their side at the table. This actually explains the term “right hand man”, because the king would have them close at hand to help him rule, unless of course, he was left-handed. Looking back at Dark’s antics, I have reason to believe that he’s either left-handed or ambidextrous.

Which I guess would make sense, considering that while Ed, Bim, Silver and Dr. Iplier were all concerned about their parts in the video, only Google and The Host were able to keep a level head and not lose sight of their main goal/situation.

Now the last thing I want to talk about is Wilford’s idea for Markiplier TV. I must warn you though because this is going to be a bit of a stretch so stop reading if you’d like BUT… I think he may have been inspired by Anti.

AGAIN, please bear with me. Jack’s mentioned before that Dark and Anti ever meeting each other was very unlikely, which in Dark’s case (being the alter ego that’s been pushed inside the most) could be more than true. However, Wilford makes up for this as he’s the only one not bound by the laws of physics and is, potentially, omnipresent. So it’s possible that he’s aware of Anti (since he was aware of Septiplier after all) and his methods (i.e. using social media to have his fans notice him which then gives him control) BUT, being Wilford, he goes about it in his own roundabout way which is, of course, TELEVISION.

So, yeah, this is all I can come up with. Excluding my attempt in theorizing at the very end I hope this was helpful. Now I’m just hoping that my thoughts on Antisepticeye don’t get too hectic and end up like this long wall of text. Thanks for reading. :)

Something I really appreciate about the new BATB film is that the costumes managed to (1) pay perfect homage to the original color tones and styles as seen in the animation and yet (2) carry symbolic changes and account for characters’ personalities, while also (3) being period appropriate. Like, wow. Major kudos to the costume designer and associated staff on this one.

For example, let’s just talk about Beast/Prince wardrobe, which I find really interesting and beautiful. BATB begins with a dance, and the Prince is in this very dark, regal yet kind of gaudy clothing, standing out from the sea of women in white. (He’s also wearing a makeup mask, which is just another awesome layer of symbolism and era-appropriateness that I will not go into right now.)

Throughout the film, Beast’s clothes get progressively lighter: from dark, torn rags (like he’s a criminal, a prisoner in his own palace) to the iconic lighter blue suit at the dance…to the moment Belle declares her love and they’re both dressed in all white (in this case, a symbol of purity and absolution)…to the very end, where the Prince wears blue again, but this time it’s the lightest shade of blue we see him wear. This change also reminds me of the trailer, where the word “Beast” in the title grows lighter as it gets closer to the word “Belle”. Beast’s subtle clothing changes represent the changes in his disposition and character. His wardrobe follows the path of the curse, from its inception to completion, as the castle goes from dark to light, from winter to spring, from death to life.

The two other dance scenes are also important.

When Belle and Beast dance together for the first time, Belle is the one who stands out in that stunning yellow dress. When Beast lets her go, her yellow dress positively pops in an otherwise monochrome, snow-covered forest, like a beacon in the night. And as he watches her go, he returns to rags, representing his hope leaving him behind.

In contrast, when Belle and the Prince dance together at the end, they both stand apart from the crowd but for different reasons than before. Unlike their first dance, this time the Prince is the one who shines the most in an otherwise temperate crowd, which parallels the opening dance scene. Unmasked, the Prince is in a light blue and white suit, the opposite of how he dressed before; and yet, this ending suit almost matches how Belle was dressed at the beginning of the movie, in her classic blue and white dress. Meanwhile, although at first glance Belle’s mostly white dress at the end might make her appear like just another girl in the crowd, she really stands out due to the roses on her dress, like a physical manifestation of spring coming back to the castle and the curse being lifted.

AU where Kimball and Doyle both survive and Locus and Felix are defeated and restrained. Felix is making a bunch of smug comments like “What, so you’re gonna kill us now? Think you’re so tough?” and all that Felix-y bullshit.

Kimball and Doyle just look at each other, before Kimball goes: “Actually, no.”

“See, Kimball happened to find something interesting while we were transferring supplies from the New Republic to Armonia,” Doyle adds, arms folded across his chest. “A phone, with only two numbers listed in the contacts. One of them belonged to Locus. The other belonged to someone who claimed he knew the both of you. Rather nice fellow, liked to talk about his family.”

With a knowing smile, Kimball holds out the cellphone, with the name ‘Siris’ and a number visible on the screen. “And we think that anything he’d do to you would be so much more satisfying than anything we could do.”

Felix and Locus’s faces go pale as the nearest door is slammed open by a prosthetic foot, which is followed by an angry shout of “WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY?!”

ok so, this is probably very far fetched but it comes from a well-intentioned place of trying to make sense of what happened in “imagine”:

what if isak was already hurt when the balloon and boy squad got involved? what if it was homophobia but not from the boys?

@georgiegirl70 sent me an ask detailing exactly how much time went by between the last we saw even in the karaoke bar and when sana went outside and it was…super fast. and during a lot of that time, most of the balloon boys (elias included) were still inside the karaoke bar…pointing outside…

and we were talking about it with @evenandsana and how it didn’t make sense and happened in way too little time without most of the balloon squad present for a long time and i started to think: what if isak was already hurt? just like in season 1 when sana throws water in ingrid’s face and we assume she was doing that for her when actually she was defending vilde.

a lot of focus was put on isak and even singing together. the whole karaoke saw them (as opposed the girl who was singing before them and didn’t have much of an audience).
what if even and isak were outside (maybe to talk to mikael, maybe not) and some drunk white guy was out too and started insulting them and isak stepped up and got punched and then the guy fled. what if elias looked out after the event and pointed at isak’s bloody nose like “look, idk what happened to that boy i don’t know but wow”.
but jonas and magnus saw that the balloon boys were the ones to make even stop singing, earlier (we see them turn around towards where even is looking), and they go out now and see isak is bleeding and probably mutta and mikael are near and they jump to conclusions? and that’s when elias steps in to defend his friends and it escalates?
meanwhile, yousef is worried but is scared to confront even (because of whatever happened between them) so he just goes to sana and is like “yeah elias is getting in troubles”.

that would explain why isak and even seemed unconcerned by the fight happening and not scared (because the assailant left already), that would explain why elias said “fucking kids” (because he was angry and frustrated at them jumping to conclusion and attacking his friends), that would explain the time limit (isak got hurt very early on, and not by the balloon boys), that would explain why none of the balloon boys looked bloody (because none of them punched him), that would go well with how people assumed they did it because of prejudice against muslim folks….

idk…it’s speculating wildly but it’s all i got right now.

I really can't buy that Yuuri had NO idea how he acted at the banquet! Sure it makes sense that he got too wasted to remember, but how could he not find out later from social media or the internet?! His phone would have been full of messages the morning after! Dudes suddenly stripping on a pole (am I also the only one wondering how the pole got there, too?) would definitely have ended up in several gossip blogs. Especially if skating megastar Victor Nikiforov got involved in the fun! Idk

At the beginning of YOI, we see Yuuri looking up news articles about his performance, even with Celestino actively encouraging him not to.

Not long after this, Yuuri goes off to the restroom and breaks down into tears.

As a sensitive person myself, I can say I’ve experienced painful moments like this in my own life. You eventually hit a point where your brain rejects any additional input because it’s protecting itself. If you see something else that makes the pain hurt even worse, it’s very normal to have a “NOPE” reaction and do everything in your power to avoid that additional pain.

We see Yuuri having another “NOPE” moment after his viral video gets posted.

He doesn’t read the comments on the video or look himself up on social media. Yuuri literally drops his phone and shuts himself off mentally from the world.

He’s not emotionally equipped to handle anything else. His brain rejected that information in order to protect him.

I do think it’s possible Yuuri never found out through others what happened at the banquet, though it would require work on his part to avoid it.

Maybe people did try to point out posts about it, and he just chose not to look. Maybe he shut his phone off and stopped logging into social media for a while until the news quieted down. Maybe Phichit or Celestino tried to mention it once, and because Yuuri got so upset and sensitive about the topic, they never brought it up again.

That “NOPE” feeling is awful when you get there. It’s an overwhelming sense of “I cannot handle anymore” and you just shut yourself off.

So yes - I do think it’s possible.

~Let Us Take a Moment To Appreciate The Different Sides Of Yuuri Katsuki~

EDIT: Added long haired Yuuri to complete the set XD

EDIT 2: Who doesn’t not want to see Yuuri with his long hair all slicked back :’D

LAST EDIT: THAT’S IT, THE ARTIST IS ALREADY DEAD.. By the way…

I just wanted to thank you all so much for following me!! I managed to hit the 1400+ follower count!! Where did you guys all come from :’DD

Here’s long haired eros!Yuuri with his glasses on as a thank you gift!! (/ - u -)/

whoa, man, whoa. What a ride that was like dang, infobomb and, like, dang man that was so good!! Just, so much to process though so forgive me while I try and organize my thoughts.

First, okay, so Topaz is great. She’s great. I really hope we see her again

Surprising but also not surprising - a Diamond shattered Pink Diamond. I know that’s been discussed at length because, among other things, in real life, only diamonds can cut diamonds. I figured that would come into play somehow, since its a pretty well-known fact. But Gems don’t necessarily follow gemstone rules so

Also, another Gem I love, Zircon. The defendant one. She figured it out, something no other Gem seemed to have before.

Blue Diamond definitely didn’t seem to know, but Yellow Diamond? Hm. And where’s White Diamond in all of this? How is this new information going to affect the Diamond Authority? It would have to cause dissent among them. And what happened to cause a Diamond to shatter Pink Diamond? Was she growing sympathetic to the Rebel cause or was it just a power grab (perhaps caused by her weakened position due to the rebellion?)? How come so many eyewitnesses thought it was Rose that shattered her? Illusion? Shapeshifting? A straight-up lie (Eyeball seemed pretty convinced, though)? I’m so so excited to find all this stuff out

I love all the off-colors? They’re great, they’re all great, I already want to see them all again they’re great all of them

Lars’ “redemption arc,” so to speak, is so good! I love how he developed over this arc and in the episodes to come (I imagine). I’m just so looking forward to where his character goes from here and just. I just really like it. Just way to go Lars!

Also, we know what Lion is now? He’s a lion brought back to life by Rose’s tears (so Rose could heal organics too??) That’s one big ol’ mystery solved… partially solved.

Anyways, this is really scattered because that was just so much to process (also I’m fighting a migraine so I’m a little unfocused tbh) but man that was so good! So good!!

Hufflepuff what
  • Ravenclaw: what are you doing?
  • Hufflepuff: making tea.
  • Gryffindor: but where's the tea bag?
  • Hufflepuff: I don't need one.
  • Slytherin: but, it's just spices in a pot of water?! How are you going to turn this into tea?
  • Hufflepuff: *strains tea into cups, and gives to others.*
  • Ravenclaw: *sniffs* it smells okay. *goes to sip*
  • Slytherin: Wait!! How do we know this isn't some potion, that- that could turn us into a- a- something bad. Like rule abiding students?
  • Gryffindor: why would a Hufflepuff do something like that to us?
  • Hufflepuff: *sips tea* you see! I'm no different. I wouldn't do that I promise.
  • Gryffindor: *sips tea* whoa!
  • Ravenclaw: *sips tea* I'm sorry, I doubted you. This is amazing!
  • Hufflepuff: thank you!!
  • Slytherin: *cautiously sips tea* ..
  • *mumbles* this is really good... *downs tea*
  • Hufflepuff: *smiles*

Even if you never listen to any other thing I have to say, please listen to this:

Stop disparaging your work.

No matter what form it takes, prefacing your work with phrases like, “This sucks; This is probably bad; I’m not a good writer/artist/creator but I did this anyway,” is a two-edged knife and both sides are lethal.

On the one hand, putting yourself down rots away not only any self-esteem you do have, but any you might be trying to build. If the most constant voice in your life – your own – tells you you’re awful, you’ll never be any good, why bother when so-and-so is ‘better’ or such-and-such is ‘more popular’ guess what? You’ll start believing that voice. And, chances are, you’ll stop creating anything at all, because why bother?

The other deadly edge of the knife is that if you’re putting work out there – and I see this all the time – with tags or artist’s/author’s notes that say, “This probably sucks,” or variants, many people won’t give it a chance. They will never even click the read more or the link that might let them make up their own minds because you’ve already told them it’s not worth their time. People are pretty susceptible to suggestion. If you start them off with the thought, “This is going to suck,” even those who do click that read more will be predisposed to see the flaws you’ve prepared them for and think poorly of your effort.

Stop disparaging your own work.

I know it’s hard. I do. Putting yourself out there where anyone can see and anyone can say anything is so terrifying. Creative work is personal. It often leaves us feeling particularly vulnerable. When we’re vulnerable and afraid of being hurt, we often get defensive even before anything bad has been said. A lot of the time, that defensiveness comes out as self-deprecation.

Nothing is ever perfect. Everything has flaws. That’s part of what makes each creation unique. Some people will love your work. Others won’t. That goes with the territory. Make art for the audience who’ll love you, not the ones who won’t. Above all – and I cannot stress this enough – make sure that you are part of that first audience. That starts by not putting yourself down in the instant you put yourself out there.

Creating work is challenging and scary and wonderful and brave. Letting other people see that work? Even more so. Keep working. Keep learning. Keep failing and trying and failing and trying; that’s the only way any of us learn and grow and change and get better.

But most of all? Stop putting yourself down. You deserve better than that. Yes. You do. You really, truly do.
