we now return to the transformers

anonymous asked:

how do you feel about SU Crit blogs??

I’m kind of jaded about the SU c/rit/ical thing. So like disclaimer, if you’re a fan of the show providing legitimate criticism, that’s one thing. I respect that, like, a lot! But I’ve seen “su cr/iti/cal” blogs complain about such trivial things, down to (literally) inconsistency in Pumpkin’s tongue texture. I feel like at the beginning there was actual valid criticism, but now it’s just turned into a hotbed of negativity.

I think the problem is that some people feel like ragging on something for its flaws somehow demonstrates that you’re more objective or enlightened than those who choose to celebrate the good things about it. But how can you provide a valuable critique of something you’ve already decided you hate? In my opinion, if you find it impossible to acknowledge anything good happening in the show, you’re pretty much just as subjective as someone who is incapable of acknowledging its flaws.

The thing that I mostly don’t like is that when a fan of the show says “I don’t like su c/ri/tical’”, their immediate response is to say “foolish sheeple^tm, you special snowflakes are unable to take criticism about anything you like. these damn millennials !!!” Which is so ironic, because like, that’s just a weak response that gets tossed out by people who claim to be “critics” but are unable to handle when anyone says “hey, that’s a dumb argument and here’s why.”

I do really appreciate that they keep the criticism in their own tag rather than just the general SU one, though, so like, props. They can keep doing their thing, they aren’t hurting anyone. A lot of the time w/ ships and stuff, the actual ship tag is just filled with hate, so it’s nice that these guys don’t post their stuff in the main tag.

also–in case you’re worried this is suddenly gonna transform into a Discourse Blog^tm or something, worry not lol, we are returning to your regular programming right after this post. I just have gotten a lot of messages about this and feel like I should voice my thoughts about it \o/

And here I begin with my analyzes and observations:

1.- Chronologically, this episode happens right after the events of Volpina.

2.- We will see, for the first time, the interaction of two Kwamis (which, it seems, are carried as small children)

3. Apparently, Master Fu can read the contents of the book, and would begin to instruct Marinette in the true potential of the Miraculous.

4. Gabriel Agreste discovers that Adrien “took” the book from his safe, which would take to punish him, forbidding him to return to school. Which would explain why Chloe was really crying in the living room.

5.- Gabriel is furious and disappointed of his son by the loss of the book, getting to take the photographs that had of him in the wall. It is then that we have the taking of a childlike drawing of the Agreste family.

6.- BIG SPOILER, Gabriel Agreste is Akumatizado, becoming The Collector, and the object spell, apparently, would be the drawing of his family that had been made by Adrien as a child.

7. Marinette, as queen of the drama, apparently, thinks that one of the Agreste could be Hawk Moth.

8. After the incident of The Collector, apparently, Marinette would begin to suspect or worry about the Agreste.

9.- We could know more about Adrien’s mother.

10.- It is verified that Gabriel has a digital copy of the book, and while checking it, it is seen for a few seconds, the carrier of the Bee Miraculous as well as many other heroes, increasing that amount of Miraculous that in truth They would exist.

11.- We see for the second time, the transformation of Hawk Moth, but his civil identity is unknown.

12. It is proven, that Gabriel Agreste is not Hawk Moth.

13. Gabriel would reconcile with Adrien, allowing him to return to school.

14.- The Collector is the first Akuma of the 2nd season, and until now, the most dangerous, (in my opinion)

15. Despite having to face his own father, Adrien doesn’t flinch in the combat, demonstrating ability and determination.

16.- This would be the fourth episode centered on Adrien / Chat Noir, the others were “Copycat”, “Simon says” and “Pier Noel”.

17.- This could be the first episode that sees more interaction between Adrien and his father.

anonymous asked:

Hey R-kun!! Just wanna say I've been stalking your blog these past few days because they're absolutely fantastic. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Gotta love your ideas, man :) Can I ask, what are your favorite chapters in re:?

Hey, thanks anon! For a brief selection, in chronological order:

31.5 - The Christmas chapter. Perfect wind-down chapter after a very intense arc which also, I think, cemented the most strongly just what a happy life Haise led at the CCG. It’s very difficult to read that chapter and not think “God, I wish I was in that room”. Because it demonstrated that so expertly, it made Haise’s struggles with his past life in the second half of the chapter all the more impactful - excited as we are to see Kaneki’s mask again, there’s an underlying sense of unease that it’s going to sink its tragic teeth into the harmonious life that not just Kaneki, but we the readers, have just enjoyed (something also indicated by the leather eyepatch Haise gives to Mutsuki). As indeed it does. As befits a Christmas chapter, it is primarily about bonds - bonds that are going to come under severe strain by the end of the next arc, which is why they’re painted with such a fine brush here to smoothly transition between the two - Kaneki and the Quinx, Kaneki and Arima, and the memories of his old bonds through his mask and through :re. A real Christmas present of a chapter!

53,56,57,58 - The death of Haise and the birth of the Black Reaper. :re was Kaneki’s attempt to escape his tragedy, but it followed him even into the realm of a different story, and here, returning along with his memories, it finally re-establishes control. The world of happy illusion is shattered after Kaneki is pushed to the edge by Eto (his doppelganger who reminds him of his true self and heralds Haise’s death) who forces the fruit of Knowledge down his throat to bring him back to the path she needs him on. The darkness of the old world had been slowly creeping into the story for a while now, catalysed by the reappearance of old characters and shards of Kaneki’s memories returning, but this was the spark that led to the inferno and the genre shift becomes gut-punchingly obvious with Kaneki’s new appearance and attitude together with the death of Shirazu. The chapter is all the more impactful because for ages the audience had wanted Kaneki’s memories to return, but now they’re back, we remember why he wiped them in the first place. The Kaneki who returns is not the one we all know and love; it is the broken shell of a man who has accepted his fate to die at the hands of his genre, and who has cast aside any pretences he once had to morality or selflessness. This style of transformation was so far from what was expected, and yet it makes all too much sense. The Kaneki we once knew, as we slowly discover, is still underneath all the burning hatred and cold defeatism, which only makes our pity for this wretched creature all the stronger. Haise Sasaki’s existential dilemma becomes one of the most heartwrenchingly tragic arcs of the whole manga, especially since the reader feels party to it as we ourselves wanted Kaneki back without properly acknowledging what it would mean for everything that had made Haise ‘Haise’. The contrast between the two fiercely drives that realisation home. But of course, at the same time, who didn’t love “Shut the hell up?” Or how Kaneki managed to wreck the fearsome One-Eyed Owl? Much as this was a negative development for Kaneki (albeit a necessary one), it’s difficult not to respect how he took his life back into his own hands after taking so much shit and playing puppet for so long. As my blog background and title already indicate, I love this mini-arc with all my soul, and I haven’t even talked about throwing Tsukiyama off the building, the beginning of Kaneki and Eto’s enthralling dynamic, and “I suppose this is my fault?”. Ah! Shivers.

120 – The first glimmer of hope for the CCG to accept the existence of Ghouls and to break the endless turning of the wheels of revenge. We’ve already seen ways that Ghouls and Humans can live in peace through Nishiki and Kimi, Kuzen and Ukina, etc. but what about the CCG, who have spent their whole lives hunting Ghouls? 120 shows reconciliation is possible through Akira, whose hatred of Ghouls runs deep, forgiving not just Ghoulkind, but the specific Ghouls who took her father from her. The chapter carries a powerful, reflective ambience throughout, aided by many quiet moments interspersed with poignant conversation as well as excellent emotive facial and background art from Ishida. As well as shining a lot of light on Akira’s current mental state, we see much more of how Touka has been confronting her issues in all the time we haven’t seen her, and watching her now as a calm and wise mentor figure highlights her incredible development from her brash and reckless teenage years as well as the influence of old man Yoshimura. An acceptingly melancholic but quietly hopeful chapter that portrays fascinating psychological developments in its three focal female characters – Akira, Touka and Hinami – and explores touchingly their complex relationships with the past and the dead, and what it means to move beyond that.

122 – We all knew this chapter was going to be amazing after 121’s cliffhanger. Kaneki and Touka finally open up, and it turns out great. Comparing this to the confrontation in the original series’ 120, it’s a wonderful piece of evidence for :re following the same path as the original series but going right where they once went wrong. Incredibly satisfying to finally hear the feelings spoken aloud that we all knew were there, and Kaneki’s “Will you come with me?” led to the greatest breath of relief I’ve had throughout the series.

125 – Surprise surprise. I’ve already spoken ad infinitum about this chapter, so in short, it’s an incredibly ambient, symbolic and beautiful experience that results in the emotional salvation of the series’ two lead characters. Their catharsis is our own, and we go away from it feeling as though a great weight has been lifted. It’s due to Ishida’s master craftsmanship with the art, lighting and mood of this chapter that it can connect so deeply with the heart of the reader.

Honourable mentions to 117 and 119, for the Touka-Amon and Kaneki-Amon conversations, and like, all of the Cochlea Arc, but that would be cheating.

Harbinger part -two

He wakes in a healing pod back at the castle. Kolivan is standing in front of it, arms crossed over his chest. The look on his face is severe, though Keith figured out a while ago that’s just his default expression. Coran is also there, puzzling over the virtual computer terminal at the center of the room. He looks worried. There’s a momentary pang when Keith realizes they’re the only ones in the room, but he immediately pushes it back down again.

He blinks, and stares at the fringe of white hair falling into his eyes, then he swallows and takes an experimental breath, wincing at the nagging pull in his side. The newly healed skin is still pretty tender, though unbroken when he gives it a tentative brush with his fingers. His head is splitting and he’s nauseous. He’s also fucking freezing. He pulls a face. He’s never been in one before, but it seems to him that something called a “healing pod” should probably be a little better at healing.

The pod door slips open and Kolivan’s big hands immediately dart out to grip Keith’s shoulders as he stumbles out of it. Something explodes inside Keith’s head. Kolivan and Antok were lovers. They had an adopted son called Fen who was killed during a recon mission. He was only a couple of years older than Keith at the time. Kolivan used to call him little one. He still cries for both of them alone in his room at night.

Keith startles, flinching out of Kolivan’s grip as if stung.

“Are you well?” Kolivan asks, a note of concern creeping into his voice.

“I’m fine,” Keith says automatically, except he’s really not because what the fuck was that? He swallows. “I’m just a little…” he wavers when the persistent headache behind his eyes suddenly blossoms into stabbing pain. He screws his eyes shut, unsteadily swaying on his feet and rubbing his forehead with a groan.

“Sit, sit, sit,” Coran says, laying a guiding hand on Keith’s shoulder and easing him to a seat on top of the circular steps beneath the pod ring. Keith’s head explodes. Coran is 114-years-old. Alfor’s final words to him were protect her with your life. His breakfast this morning consisted of bleak porridge with slotberries. He’s afraid of orb-weavers, which are essentially bright fluorescent green space-spiders.

Keith recoils from Coran’s touch. He stumble crawls down the steps on his hands and knees and vomits green bile onto the sunken floor. His head is throbbing.

“Keith!” Coran cries, following after him, reaching out to steady Keith’s heaving body. Kolivan charges down to offer his help as well, his lips pressed together in a tight grim line.

“Get away from me!” Keith cries, scrambling backwards across the floor. He pulls up short against the pod room computer terminal. “Don’t… Don’t touch me!” he gasps, throwing up his hands to keep them away. He has no idea what’s going on, but weirdness seems to happen when they touch him.

More than meets the eye Part 3

This one isn’t very good, I apologize. Also, it’s confusing as hell.

And so, the Pilot comes to an end, in a confusing little finale filled with robots having silly plans, Starscream being Starscream, Optimus losing his shit and people shooting at things without ever hitting. Also, it turns out all the Energon they’ve been fighting for will not be used to get back home, but to fuel a completely silly show.

What do the Autobots do, now that they’ve spontaneously (and off-screen) decided to no return to Cybertron? Find out in the next recap, where we will examine (and be severely disappointed by) Bumblebee’s spying skills, observe strange battle tactics involving cave entrances and meet up with an old friend.

EDIT: I know it’s Ant-droids and not androids, I chose to go with the latter because I despise puns, but wanted to keep this moment in because it’s ridiculous.

Here’s the Cartoon Network schedule as of Monday, September 18 to Sunday, September 24.

Major weekday primetime shakeup. Teen Titans Go! loses its 6pm slot it almost always has, while OK K.O.! takes up that full hour. TTG moves to the 5pm hour, replacing the original Teen Titans, which somehow gets an even better 7pm slot. What year is this?

Gumball airs at ONLY 4pm, Ben 10 gets no weekday reruns, and We Bare Bears moves to 2pm. For some reason, CN thinks airing the 26 episode Tom and Jerry Tales for 2 hours a day (and 18 times a week total) is a good idea. You have other Tom and Jerry shows, if you want a Tom and Jerry-heavy nostalgia hour, at least TRY to air more than 2 shows. I know you’re saving the 2014 Tom and Jerry Show for the Boomerang streaming service, but why not put some episodes on there? Or air more of the classic Tom and Jerry instead of Tales. Good idea, right???

Weekend goes back to normal, albeit without new The Powerpuff Girls. Guess a hiatus would be bliss right now. Spy Kids returns to CN’s movie rotation.

Here’s what’s new new new new this week:

Ben 10 - Friday at 5:00p

Teen Titans Go! - Friday at 6:00p

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes - Friday at 6:30p

The Amazing World of Gumball - Friday at 7:00p

We Bare Bears - Friday at 7:30p

Transformers: Robots in Disguise - Saturday at 6:30a

Justice League Action - Saturday at 7:00a

Top 3:

Teen Titans Go! - 146 - 45%

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes - 40 - 12%

The Amazing World of Gumball - 33 - 10%

(BMC) Spider fear headcanon

-Before the whole squip thing, Jeremy spent a lot of time in Michael’s basement
-Michael, being Michael, never really bothered to put any order down there, so the place was basically a wreck
-And in the wreck lived spiders
-A whole colony of them
-Jeremy hated them
-Hated? More like was deathly afraid of
-With their long ugly legs and fat little bodies
-Michael, of course, teased the hell out of him for that
- ‘Long legs? Little bodies? Jer, are you sure you’re not describing yourself?’
‘Michael I swear–’
-One day, they were playing video games when a spider crawled out of the bag of chips they were sharing and went up Jeremy’s arm
-Michael started to laugh
-He helped lure it back onto a dorito and tossed it out the window
-Jeremy cried
-Michael stopped laughing
-Skip a few months ahead now: The squip has been taken, Jeremy is still in the beginning of his ‘cool transformation’
-The squip convinces him he has to get over this fear
-Jeremy agrees doutbfully
-So the squip marches him over to Michael’s house
-‘Are we gonna hang out with Michael?’
‘No. I’ve chosen a time when I know that he and his father are out.’
‘Wait, Michael’s out with his dad? But they never hang–’
'Michael’s father issues are not the point here, Jeremy. The point is that you are going to go to his basement, wait for an hour, and leave before he returns.’
'Don’t question me. Just do it.’
-Jeremy does
- 'Okay, I’m in the basement. Now what?’
'Walk to the farthest corner.’
-Jeremy does
-And suddenly finds himself paralyzed
-He tries to move but can’t
-He mentally yells at the squip but the squip shrugs him off with a 'I’m helping you face your fear head-on.’
-In less than five minutes, a spider crawls onto his shoe
-Jeremy screams
-Half hour later, three more have joined the first
-The squip isn’t satisfied, because 'I had calculated ten’
-Michael ends up coming home early
-He finds Jeremy standing in a corner of his basement, crying, with five spiders crawling up his legs and arms
-He rushes over and brushes them off
-The squip is really annoyed
- 'Tell him to screw off’
-Jeremy tries, but is crying too hard to form the words
-Michael is very confused
-He hugs and comforts him anyway
-The squip keeps telling him that their goal is completed and can Jeremy just leave already?, but Jeremy is too much of a nervous wreck to obey
-He just curls up in himself while Michael hugs him and tries to figure out what happened
-Jeremy finally whispers that he was trying to face his fears
-Michael gets mad
- 'It’s okay to want to get over a spider-phobia, but breaking into my house and trapping yourself with them is just setting yourself up for a panic attack, Jeremy!!’
'I know, I know’
'Did your squip make you do this?’
-Jeremy goes to say yes
-The squip intercepts him: 'No’
-They spend the rest of the day just cuddling quietly
-They watch bad movies and eat snacks
-Michael lets Jeremy win at video games
-The squip tries to regain control but can’t because Jeremy’s mind is far too rattled for commands right now
-It can’t even optic nerve block
-All it can do is sit and wait
-When Jeremy is ready to leave, he asks Michael if he’s afraid of anything
-Michael says 'rejection’
-And closes the door
-Jeremy makes a mental note to help him get a girlfriend
-The squip makes a mental note to deactivate itself so it doesn’t have to deal with such an idiot anymore

“‘And yet it is not enough to have memories. You must be able to forget them when they are many, and you must have the immense patience to wait until they return. For the memories themselves are not important. Only when they have changed into our very blood, into glance and gesture, and are nameless, no longer to be distinguished from ourselves–only then can it happen that in some very rare hour the first word of a poem arises in their midst and goes forth from them.’*

In this passage, Rilke is talking about the importance of memory–or, more precisely, of a certain kind of transformation that memory might undergo– for artistic creation. I shall argue that his idea is of much wider significance. The general contours of this transformation described are reasonably clear. We begin with memories of relatively familiar sorts. Rilke provides some examples. Some of these memories are of specific episodes: of encounters, partings, of the noises in the room where you sat next to your dead father. Some are more general: the gesture that small flowers make when they open in the morning. And others seem to be a curious mixture of the particular and general: many nights of love, each one different from all the others. Whether these memories are specific, general or hybrid, they have content. They are about something. This content, however, fades: 'you must be able to forget them.’ But the memory lives on in another form, and at some point and in some way can ‘return.’ When it does so, this is in a very different form: the memory has become ‘blood.’ It is now ‘glance and gesture,’ ‘nameless and no longer to be distinguished’ from the person whose memory it was. The products of this process–these memories that have become ‘blood,’ ‘glance and gesture,’ ‘nameless and no longer to be distinguished from ourselves’–I shall christen Rilkean memories. Nothing, for my purposes at least, depends on whether these are properly understood as memories or, instead, as things into which memories can transform (‘Rilkean post-memories’, we might then call them). If one would prefer to withhold the label ‘memory’ from these entities, I have no objections. What is important is that these states, in a way to be made clear, place their subject in a concrete and (often) significant relation to his or her past. These new states carry in them a trace of the past. The past lives on in the subject not as memories in the familiar sense but, rather, as their Rilkean counterparts.”

Mark Rowlands, from “Rilkean Memory,” The Southern Journal of Philosophy (vol. 53, 2015)

Take My Wife Please

I’d love to thank @mywifesawesomebutt for this fantasy. Usually it’s women who submit fantasies for me. In this case, it’s the woman’s husband who submitted this. Enjoy.

When I’m not busy training slaves and I’m on my iPhone, I typically go on Tumblr. Just so many great pics and videos if you like seeing women in bdsm. I came across this one call @mywifesawesomebutt and posted a lot of pics of this woman’s ass and getting a lot of ass torture. I started rebloging and posted a few comments.

One day, he direct messaged me and told me about her and the things he liked to do to her. Her name was Virginia, 54, 5'4" and shoulder length reddish brown hair. She was a little on the chubby side but very cute. Of course with the workout we put our slaves through, she might eventually lose some weight. He even sent me a couple of pics. The man(who didn’t give me his name) said he loved doing things like all kinds of spankings using his hands, a flogger, paddle, riding crop, cane, strap, a wooden spoon or heated metal ruler. He would fuck her up the ass sometimes using a huge dildo and liked to give her enemas. Decided that she was the next target.

Obviously since I had chatted with her husband, I had to have an airtight alibi. I flew to New Jersey(where I originally was from and had family and friends) on the Saturday we were going to kidnap Virginia. I sent Bruce, Rick and Tara to do the kidnapping. They live in Illinois. They flew out in the private jet we owned.

They arrived there at 11am central and rented a van . After about an hour of searching, we found her. She was getting her hair and nails done. She was wearing a red kind of dressy t-shirt that showed her cleavage, a blue jean mini skirt and black colored gladiator sandals. Tara went in the salon to have her nails done and keep her under surveillance. Then she overheard that her husband was away for the day and overnight with friends and was home alone. Bingo. They then followed her home. She lived in a nice neighborhood. It would be her last moments in that neighborhood. After about 5 minutes, they made their move. They rang the doorbell and grabbed her. She put up a struggle and then Bruce pulled out a syringe needle and gave her a shot in the neck of a tranquilizer. Within a minute or two, she was unconscious. The gang then took rope and secured her wrists behind her back, her ankles and attached more rope to put her in a hogtie. They then placed a head harness ball gag around her followed by a leather hood around her head.

Totally secure, they placed her in the van and drove to the air strip and we boarded the jet and placed our newest slave in small cramped cage and they took off back home.

About half way back, the slave began to regain consciousness. She was obviously scared and was moaning under her gag in fear. But Rick who like other slaves we acquired was groping her and made an interesting discovery.

“Hey gang, check this out, I think this slut’s enjoying this”

Bruce and Sydney check out the slave’s panties and noticed they were wet. I think all the slaves we capture eventually realize that this is the life they’re meant to live.

The plane touched down in Virginia at 7pm eastern time. They got back to the slave training facility about an hour later. We brought her to the bottom floor. We gave her water in a dog dish and since her wrists were bound behind her back, she was forced to drink with her mouth.

Then we stripped her of her clothes and locked her in the arch back device. I arrived just after that having decided to return upon hearing of our acquisition of our new slave. I decided to let her know what she was in for.

“Hello Virginia. As you can see, you’re no longer a free woman. You’re now our sex slave. Our property. You are now merchandise. You are just a set of tits and three fuckholes. For us to use and abuse for our pleasure. You’re a worthless whore, a brainless cunt, a piece of meat, a fucktoy. Starting now, you will go through your transformation from an independent woman to an obedient, compliant sex slave. We will torture you physically, psychologically and sexually. You’re body is now ours. Once you complete your training, you will be auctioned off and sold to the highest bidder”

We again placed her harness gag and leather hood on her and earbuds to hear her disorientation tape. A vibrator that was on a timer was placed on her clit to edge her provide tease and denial all night. The water she drank was laced with a stimulant to increase her sexual urges. She had alligator clamps attached to her nipples, a wired metal dildo attached to her pussy and a wired butt plug attached to her asshole. The wires would trigger a sensor giving her electro shock if she somehow managed to dose off or cum. Her training and transformation had begun.

To be continued

I just need to ask someone and you seem like the understanding sort. Why is it so few people seem to think that Loki could have actually died and then cane back? I mean we have the literal goddess of death in the next movie and she actually brings people back from the dead in the trailer. So why not Loki? Why do people insist he must have faked it?

For now nothing is sure as long as the film is not in the cinema. But it is true that he returns in the form of this guard (whom we had seen in the middle of the film when he transformed with his magic in him before his brother to have fun). So maybe he had already calculated. There is so much theory possible and as they don’t completely follow the comics. Hela is his daughter in comics but not really directly in the movie, so. Maybe he did an agreement with the goddess of death Hela. Everything is possible. Loki is crafty, and he had to find a solution to come back after his death. But how? I would also like to know.

Edit: it’s true too, I read that Loki should have died in thor 2 but when they saw the fans and the magnitude of his show to comic con they changed the end of the movie.

Without You: Bloodstone (Part 6)

Genre: AU, bts!werewolf, fantasy, angst

Warnings: language, violence, suggestive content

Word Count: 2k

Summary: Werewolves, contrary to popular belief, are usually gentle creatures. Except for a very specific set of circumstances, they would never hurt a human (on purpose). The few unfortunate times when mistakes were made put a permanent dark mark on the beasts and people began labeling them as monsters. What the human population failed to recognize was the fact that they were protecting us from something much more sinister. Luckily, a few survived and the gene was passed down hereditarily until one day finding its way to me… in the form of my best friend.

Chapter 6:

“Are you saying DEMONS were THERE?”

Namjoon runs his fingers through his hair, pushing the locks away from his forehead, thinking, “Well, I can’t say no. But I had Hoseok search the area. He has the best sense for those kinds of things out of all of us, but couldn’t find a single one.”

“So then why did Jungkook transform early?” as I ask this, I feel like we are wrapping back around to where this conversation started. A perplexing question indeed.

“I don’t know,” is his only answer.

The Archaic Revival

We have gone sick by following a path of untrammelled rationalism, male dominance, attention to the visible surface of things, practicality, bottom-line-ism. We have gone very, very sick. And the body politic, like any body, when it feels itself to be sick, it begins to produce antibodies, or strategies for overcoming the condition of dis-ease. And the 20th century is an enormous effort at self-healing. Phenomena as diverse as surrealism, body piercing, psychedelic drug use, sexual permissiveness, jazz, experimental dance, rave culture, tattooing, the list is endless. What do all these things have in common? They represent various styles of rejection of linear values. The society is trying to cure itself by an archaic revival, by a reversion to archaic values. So when I see people manifesting sexual ambiguity, or scarifying themselves, or showing a lot of flesh, or dancing to syncopated music, or getting loaded, or violating ordinary canons of sexual behaviour, I applaud all of this; because it’s an impulse to return to what is felt by the body – what is authentic, what is archaic – and when you tease apart these archaic impulses, at the very centre of all these impulses is the desire to return to a world of magical empowerment of feeling.
And at the centre of that impulse is the shaman: stoned, intoxicated on plants, speaking with the spirit helpers, dancing in the moonlight, and vivifying and invoking a world of conscious, living mystery. That’s what the world is. The world is not an unsolved problem for scientists or sociologists. The world is a living mystery: our birth, our death, our being in the moment – these are mysteries. They are doorways opening on to unimaginable vistas of self-exploration, empowerment and hope for the human enterprise. And our culture has killed that, taken it away from us, made us consumers of shoddy products and shoddier ideals. We have to get away from that; and the way to get away from it is by a return to the authentic experience of the body – and that means sexually empowering ourselves, and it means getting loaded, exploring the mind as a tool for personal and social transformation.
The hour is late; the clock is ticking; we will be judged very harshly if we fumble the ball. We are the inheritors of millions and millions of years of successfully lived lives and successful adaptations to changing conditions in the natural world. Now the challenge passes to us, the living, that the yet-to-be-born may have a place to put their feet and a sky to walk under; and that’s what the psychedelic experience is about, is caring for, empowering, and building a future that honours the past, honours the planet and honours the power of the human imagination. There is nothing as powerful, as capable of transforming itself and the planet, as the human imagination. Let’s not sell it straight. Let’s not whore ourselves to nitwit ideologies. Let’s not give our control over to the least among us. Rather, you know, claim your place in the sun and go forward into the light. The tools are there; the path is known; you simply have to turn your back on a culture that has gone sterile and dead, and get with the programme of a living world and a re-empowerment of the imagination. Thank you very, very much.-Terrence Mckenna

the bowl of light- as told by a hawai’ian shaman

Each child is born with a perfect bowl of light. This bowl represents her true identity, a vessel of shining Light. If she is taught to love and respect her light, then she will grow in strength and health and she can do anything – swim with the shark, fly with the birds, know and understand all things. If, however, she judges her experience of life as bad and becomes fearful, ashamed, or resentful, she drops a stone into her bowl of light and it blocks some of the light. The stone and the light cannot hold the same space. If she continues to put stones in the bowl it will eventually be full of stones, the light will go out, and she will become a stone. A stone does not grow, nor does it move. If at any time she tires of being a stone, all she needs to do is turn the bowl upside down and the stones will fall out, and the light will grow bright once more.

In this Hawaiian story, the bowl of light represents our true essence: pure light, pure love. When we are conscious and respectful of this light, we are living in our highest state of freedom, our sovereignty.

The stones in the bowl represent the pain and suffering that we cause ourselves by resisting life instead of trusting it, and by not accepting others or ourselves as we are.

If we fill our bowl of light with stones, we lose connection with our essence and feel separate from the source of love and light.

It would be nice if we could just dump our stones out and start over again. The reality is that all of our experiences, both painful and pleasurable, will always be part of who we are. It’s not possible to deny or eliminate them. What we can do is return the light to our bowl so that the memories of our wounds no longer affect us negatively. We can turn our stones into crystals. We polish them with our loving presence. This is the alchemy that transforms our experiences of pain and suffering into a treasure chest of pristine, multifaceted jewels. Our bowl of light is now full of shimmering, sparkling crystals, representing a richly lived life.

Megatron (Transformers: The Last Knight) statue by Prime 1 Studio

Well, I have said it before that Shockwave will be the only statue I will buy from Prime 1′s Transformers range and I was adamant to stick to that oath. Until now… I have to add this beast to my collection and probably I also have to re-think my collecting goals.

Josh Nizzi’s robot designs are absolutely phenomenal, I dig them. Not so much the Bayformers movies…unfortunately all of them were really daft so I don’t have too high expectations for The Last Knight, but the movie is coming out soon and we will know how good or bad it is ;)

Prime 1 Studio is proud to present MMTFM-17: Megatron from The Transformers: The Last Knight. Teen Wolf 6x11: “Said the Spider to the Fly”

The last episode of Teen Wolf season 6A made me question if there was actually going to be a 6B. It seemed to wrap up everything and send off our main characters in different directions after high school. What would season 6B be about? Then, I got worried with the introduction of so many new characters that 6B would be like a reboot of the show. I am happy to say that is not how I felt after watching 6x11 as it kicked off the last 10 episodes of Teen Wolf. (I was just pissed that my DVR didn’t tape it, hence the later review.)

I LOVED seeing Scott as assistant coach. [He’s gotten so old! :( ]

Coach’s return was fantastic! I missed lacrosse being a part of the show and he always made me laugh. [Now if only we could see Greenberg!]

Scott stepping up as alpha right within the first few minutes of the show! YES! It’s about time. We haven’t seen any true alpha moments in a while and it was great to see his red eyes glow as the stray, bloody wolf appeared on the field. Speaking of, a lot of dead animals this episode. The show has definitely gotten bloodier and bloodier as it has gone on.

Liam’s transformation. I like how they addressed Hayden not being on the show. (Yet another character who is just gone, but not too much of a loss for me personally.) It’s really interesting how Liam is taking Scott’s leaving Beacon Hills and taking on the leader role. I think they are portraying it really realistically, which is impressive for a supernatural show. He was able to take on a Hellhound though. Super impressive.

New Hellhound. His battle with Parrish was epic! I also liked how they set him up as if he was hunting Liam, but really he’s trying to find what came out of the Wild Hunt. (Which seems extremely reminiscent to what they had to deal with after igniting the Nematon.) My guess is what he’s hunting is that bloody creature/guy that they keep showing on the commercials for this season. I also don’t believe the new Hellhound is dead and was reassured when I saw him back in next week’s promo. Phew!

The new hunters. That guidance counselor was extremely creepy. Do they screen their teachers before hiring them? It was obvious that she was apart of this group, even before she “killed” the Hellhound in the woods. I’m just curious how she got involved with Gerard Argent. And that new kid Nolan creeps me out. They are TOTALLY going to find the list of supernatural kids at Beacon Hills that Lydia hid in the worst possible spot! (Sure, why not the top drawer in your mother’s desk. That worked out so well for Clarke in the 100.) I really like how we’re going back to the hunters as the enemy, like in season 1. Bringing the show back full circle.

But my favorite part of the episode remains to be Stiles at the end. Not only was there a sly mention of Stydia, but we got classic, enthusiastic Stiles at Quantico. The show really isn’t the same without him as one of the leads. It hurt my heart to see his name out of the main credits. I loved how they were already setting up how he will team up with Derek, who (of course) is killing people. Can’t wait for next week’s episode and don’t you worry. I will TRIPLE check the DVR.
