we need to start on our van

I have decided, quite simply, that the really weird customers are drawn to me and this is why I get all the worst reviews. This one is not a review, but it is one of the events that made me just go… ‘what?’

A woman came up to me and started speaking in a low voice.

“There’s a man in a brown leather jacket and a baseball hat. He’s creeping me out. He walked by me, looked at me once, and then gave me the finger.”

So I tell my boss and we get a couple people to follow this guy and his friend, who are just now coming out of the t-shirt section. We don’t see them do anything weird. I’m called up to the register and the woman that came up to me starts talking about it again, her two kids sitting in the cart- pointing the men out and reiterating what she’d told me before.

The two men are on their way up, they don’t buy anything. They get into their van. They’re not really as clean-cut as our usual patrons, but landscaping/construction people come through our store sometimes because if they need high-visibility attire we have flourescent yellow shirts that work in a pinch. I kind of just assumed they left because we didn’t have them in their size.

The woman’s nanny comes up and starts asking questions.

“They left.” “Where did they go?” “They got in a van.” “They got in a VAN?!”

Like… at this point I’m like 90% certain that things did not happen the way she thinks they happened. Like… she’s making a big deal about it. I call my manager up to talk to her and she gets to tell her story again. I hear-

“What are two grown men doing in a CRAFT STORE?”

…. crafts don’t know age or gender, lady.

Manager gets her to believe that they were probably stealing something and she caught them in the act and that’s why they were acting so weird. Tells her not to call the cops because we’ll file a report.

… she called the cops anyway. We get a call from her saying that they told her that they couldn’t do anything because they didn’t steal anything and nothing… really… happened. So she begs my boss to look at the footage to send to the cops and my boss tells her that she will.

Boss looks at the footage.

Here. Is what. Happened.

She had her kids kind of playing around her cart and having a good time. These two guys walk by, the one in the jacket glances at her. The woman freezes, gathers up her kids and orders them to get in the cart, stares the man down.

Yeah, I would have flipped her the bird, too.

She then starts keeping an eye on him, staring him down whenever she sees him like he’s going to do something. She’s pointing at him to her nanny.

All but following him around the store.

Because he was a grown man in a craft store. Christ, lady- not every working dude with a beard is looking to abduct your children.

Playlist for “A Gilded World” by Jincerity

So Jincerity’s “A Gilded World” is probably my YoonJin sanctuary so i made a playlist of songs that i personally think, fit the situations of the fanficiton. I included lyric snippets of the songs to show why i think they fit. Hope you like them :)

Seokjin -> Jungkook

If I was dying on my knees
You would be the one to rescue me
And if you were drowned at sea
I’d give you my lungs so you could breathe

I’ve got you brother
I’ve got you brother

Jimin -> Seokjin

“Give me love like never before,
‘Cause lately I’ve been craving more,
And it’s been a while but I still feel the same,
Maybe I should let you go
“And that I’ll fight my corner,
Maybe tonight I’ll call ya,
After my blood turns into alcohol,
No, I just wanna hold ya.”
“ My, my, my, my, oh give me love,
My, my, my, my, oh give me love,
My, my, my, my, oh give me love,
My, my, my, my, oh give me love,
My, my, my, my, oh give me love. “

“I don’t want them to know the secrets
I don’t want them to know the way I loved you
I don’t think they’d understand it, no
I don’t think they would accept me, no”
“ I loved and I loved and I lost you
I loved and I loved and I lost you
And it hurts like hell
Yeah it hurts like hell “

Jimin -> Taehyung

“If I told you that I loved you
Tell me, what would you say?
If I told you that I hated you
Would you go away?
Now I need your help with everything that I do
I don’t want to lie, I’ve been relying on you
“Fallin’ again, I need a pick-me-up
I’ve been callin’ you “friend, ” I need to give it up “

I’m sick, and I’m tired too
I can admit, I am not fireproof
I feel it burning me
I feel it burning you
I hope I don’t murder me
I hope I don’t burden you “

“Oh simple thing where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
“ And if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go
Somewhere only we know? “

Seokjin -> Yoongi

“ I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets
And ask me your questions

“ Nobody said it was easy
It’s such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start “

“And your heart’s against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck
I’m falling for your eyes, but they don’t know me yet
And with a feeling I’ll forget, I’m in love now
“ Kiss me like you wanna be loved
You wanna be loved
You wanna be loved
This feels like falling in love
Falling in love
We’re falling in love “
“ Settle down with me
And I’ll be your safety
“Yeah I’ve been feeling everything
From hate to love
From love to lust
From lust to truth
I guess that’s how I know you
So I hold you close to help you give it up”

“ And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse? “
“ Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
“ When you’re too in love to let it go
But if you never try you’ll never know
Just what you’re worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

“ We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time’s forever frozen still “
“ So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
You won’t ever be alone, wait for me to come home
“ Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes
But it’s the only thing that I know
“ Loving can heal, loving can mend your soul
And it’s the only thing that I know, know
I swear it will get easier, “
“ And if you hurt me
Well, that’s okay baby, only words bleed “
And I won’t ever let you go

Yoongi -> SeokJin

“ Oh, my soul
Oh, how you worry
Oh, how you’re weary, from fearing you lost control “
“ And no one would blame you, though
If you cried in private
If you tried to hide it away, so no one knows
No one will see, if you stop believing “

“ You think that you know my heart
And you probably do
You’re my other half
You’re what makes me me
What makes me smile
When I fall down and can’t get back, get back, get back up
On my feet “
“ You’re a beautiful thing “
“ We make hours turn into seconds together
The weight of the world feel like a feather
'Cause we’re holding it right in our hands

We’re a beautiful thing together

“I’m gonna pick up the pieces and build a Lego house
If things go wrong we can knock it down

“ And it’s dark in a cold December, but I’ve got you to keep me warm
If you’re broken I will mend ya and keep you sheltered from the storm that’s raging on “
I’m out of touch, I’m out of love
I’ll pick you up when you’re getting down
And out of all these things I’ve done, I think I love you better now  “
“I’m out of sight, I’m out of mind
I’ll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I’ve done I think I love you better now “
“And out of all these things I’ve done I will love you better now”

“All I am is a man
I want the world in my hands
I hate the beach
But I stand in California with my toes in the sand “
Touch my neck and I’ll touch yours
You in those little high waisted shorts “
“And what I think about
One love, two mouths
One love, one house
No shirt, no blouse
Just us, you find out
Nothing that I wouldn’t wanna tell you about no”
“ I don’t mind if there’s not much to say
Sometimes the silence guides our minds to
So move to a place so far away “
“ The goosebumps start to raise
The minute that my left hand meets your waist
And then I watch your face
Put my finger on your tongue
'Cause you love the taste yeah “
“ 'Cause it’s too cold whoa
For you here and now
So let me hold whoa
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater “

“ I’m not a perfect person
There’s many things I wish I didn’t do
But I continue learning “
“ I’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you “

“ I met you in the dark, you lit me up
You made me feel as though I was enough “
“ Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute, I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest “
“ I knew I loved you then
But you’d never know
'Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go
I know I needed you
But I never showed

But I wanna stay with you until we’re grey and old “
“When you looked over your shoulder
For a minute, I forget that I’m older
I wanna dance with you right now
Oh, and you look as beautiful as ever
And I swear that everyday you’ll get better
You make me feel this way somehow “
“ We’ve come so far my dear
Look how we’ve grown “
“ I wanna live with you
Even when we’re ghosts
'Cause you were always there for me when I needed you most “
“ I’m gonna love you till
My lungs give out
I promise till death we part like in our vows
Just say you won’t let go
Oh, just say you won’t let go

Taehyung -> Jimin

“ The club isn’t the best place to find a lover
So the bar is where I go
Me and my friends at the table doing shots
Drinking fast and then we talk slow
And you come over and start up a conversation with just me
And trust me I’ll give it a chance now
Take my hand, stop, put Van The Man on the jukebox
And then we start to dance
And now I’m singing like “
“ Last night you were in my room
And now my bedsheets smell like you
“ I’m in love with the shape of you
We push and pull like a magnet do
Although my heart is falling too
I’m in love with your body  “

If this is love
Why does it break me down?

“ It’s been a long time since I felt the way that I do now
Like I need you, but I don’t know how
It’s been a while since I smiled
And I meant it from my heart
But the idea of leaving this behind
It tears me apart “
“ Kiss me now and remind me why
I ever wanted to make you mine “

“ If I stay here would you come back
If I stay cool would you be mad
Would you want me if I want you
That way

“ Isn’t it strange that every time
I look at your name I’m suddenly high
For you to feel the same I would do almost anything
I’d give away this, give away that
All of my shoes and all of my hats
All I need’s you and a bit of music “
“ 'Cause all I can think about is coming over, coming over “

Hoseok and Namjoon (Goes both ways)

“ Gumdrop, lollipop, boom a little candy shop
I wanna feel your sugar rush through my veins
Whipped cream, jellybean, sweet and sour tangerine
I wanna feel your sugar rush through my veins
“ Sugar, sugar, oh you’re no good for me
I got a sweet tooth – it gets the best of me
And you’re like candy, you go down so easily
Sugar, baby, can’t you see, you’re going to be the death of me

“ You ought to keep me concealed just like I was a weapon
I didn’t come for a fight but I will fight till the end
And this one might be a battle, might not turn out okay
You know you look so Seattle, but you feel so LA
“ And I love the way you hurt me
It’s irresistible, yeah “
“ You’re second hand smoke, second hand smoke
I breathe you in, but, honey, I don’t know what you’re doing to me
Mon chéri, but the truth catches up with us eventually
Try to say live, live and let live
But I’m no good, good at lip service
Except when they’re yours, mi amor
I’m coming for you and I’m making war “

“ Decisions as I go, to anywhere I flow
Sometimes I believe, at times when I should know
I can fly high, I can go low
Today I got a million, tomorrow, I don’t know “
“ Stop crying like you’re home and think about the show
We’re all playing the same game, I’m laying down alone
We’re unknown and known, special and a clone
Hate will make you cautious, love will make you glow
“ Make me feel the warmth, make me feel the cold
It’s written in our story, it’s written on the walls
This is our call, we rise and we fall
Dancin’ in the moonlight, don’t we have it all?

“ I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own “
“ One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand “

“ What’s the problem I don’t know
Well maybe I’m in love (love)
Think about it every time
I think about it
Can’t stop thinking 'bout it
How much longer will it take to cure this
Just to cure it cause I can’t ignore it if it’s love (love)
Makes me wanna turn around and face me but I don’t know nothing 'bout love “
“ Well baby I surrender
To the strawberry ice cream
Never ever end of all this love
Well I didn’t mean to do it
But there’s no escaping your love
We’re accidentally in love
Accidentally in love

“ Jump a little higher
If you feel a little lighter
Spin a little tighter
And the world’s a little brighter
Just get yourself inside her

Love …I’m in love

“And all those things I didn’t say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

“ Losing friends and I’m chasing sleep
Everybody’s worried about me
In too deep
Say I’m in too deep
(in too deep)
And it’s been two years I miss my home
But there’s a fire burning in my bones
Still believe
Yeah, I still believe

“ This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I’m alright song

My power’s turned on
Starting right now I’ll be strong
I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me

“ Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay?
Am I wrong for saying that I choose another way?”
“ If one thing I know, I’ll fall but I’ll grow
I’m walking down this road of mine, this road that I call home “
“ So am I wrong
For thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong
For trying to reach the things that I can’t see?
But that’s just how I feel, “
“ Walk your walk and don’t look back, always do what you decide
Don’t let them control your life, that’s just how I feel
Fight for yours and don’t let go, don’t let them compare you, no
Don’t worry, you’re not alone, that’s just how we feel

I’ll maybe add more for NamSeok and Jimin as well as VMin later :’) I just adore this fanfiction and i wanted to share this with everyone. Hope you like it

Jerome Valeska X Reader / Please Don’t Hurt Him!

Your P.O.V.

Gotham city was going crazy tonight. People who swore to stick to the law were committing crimes and criminals went wilder than before. Not even the police could control the city tonight. This all thanks to the one who woke from the dead, Gotham’s worst nightmare but also one of the most admired criminals, Jerome Valeska. For some, he was an idol but for me, he was even more.

I loved Jerome. We had been friends for years and I could tell that his life with his mother was taking it’s toll on him. I had tried to help him but it didn’t take long until his mind just snapped. His mother’s dead didn’t surprise since after all we had planned it together. The biggest surprise was that he didn’t tell the police about me at all. For years we had been close and we had this thing going on where we flirted with each other and we acted like we were a couple. Too bad we weren’t.

Once he went to Arkham I was all alone. Losing the only friend I had was hard and it surely did something to my head. Damn, I was ready to break him out of that hellhole. Before I got into action, he was already outside. I heard of the Maniax and that inspired me to go out and find him. I needed Jerome! I had to se him. I wasn’t scared, not at all although I should be. I saw what he had done to people. He was a murderer. I didn’t mind.

My mission failed badl. I simply didn’t find him. The worst part was when he was announced dead. It broke my heart. I cried for days and weeks. I didn’t take care of myself. I felt completely lost and that’s when I though my life ended. Jerome’s resurrection was a miracle and after a long period of loneliness I’d finally see him again. Right here tonight.

The carnival was full of people both happy and sad. Most were here with someone but I was walking around alone.I had come late which wasn’t bad because Jerome’s big event would start any time soon. People were already heading to the big tent and I could feel how excitement made my heart flutter. I fixed my black skirt that matched my black crop top. I had some heels on and I had done my make-up real nice. Hopefully Jerome remembered me.

I got inside the tent where I saw a boy tied to a pole. As I walked closer I recognized Bruce Wayne, the rich kid whose parents were killed. As I looked a little further from Bruce I saw someone with white pants, a red jacket and a hat. My heart jumped to my throat. That was Jerome! My entire body froze and I just stared at him. It felt unreal. His face seemed strange and that’s when I realized he had stapled it back on. Poor thing.

‘’GCPD!’’ I heard someone yell and the next thing I knew was that the police came inside with guns and people went crazy. Shit. ‘’No no no’’ I muttered and moved out of the way so I wouldn’t be stepped on. People were all over the place and soon I lost sight of Jerome. I couldn’t lose him now! A big bang made everyone shut up for a second. I tried to see what had happened, but the mass of people was literally forcing me out of the tent.

‘’Let me go!’’ I screamed but my voice drowned underneath the chaos. I heard gunshots and police officers yelling at us to back off. I gritted my teeth and I tried to break myself free, but it was impossible. A huge guy was in front of me and as he backed away, I had to back off too. Before I knew it, I was standing behind a line of police officers. They wouldn’t let us go.

Tears stung my eyes and I wanted to attack someone but that would be useless. I just waited anxiously with my heart beating in my throat. Would Jerome come back? ‘’Did the boy blow up?’’ Some spoke behind me. I turned around to see two clowns dressed in dark clown costumes. They were laughing now. I was surrounded by idiots! I had to get Jerome!

A few gasps made me look towards the tent again. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The fucking boy was alive and he was bloody. The famous police officer Jim Gordon walked closer to bruce with an older man. Bruce ran into the man’s hands and Jim just watched. Where was Jerome?

My thoughts were answered quickly. I saw Jerome walking hazily towards the boy. He was ready to kill Bruce. ‘’Jerome!’’ I screamed in horror as I realized that Jim Gordon noticed him too. Then I lost it. I kicked the people in front of me and then I ran as fast as I could. I didn’t have to think twice. Every muscle in my body forced me to run to Jerome. I would die for him if I had to!

I gritted my teeth and ran even faster. Jerome’s eyes moved from Bruce to me. I didn’t come a second too late. Just before Jim Gordon could attack Jerome, I stepped in between.’’Don’t!’’ I screamed loudly. I raised my arms and I stood in front of Jerome, shielding him from the police officer. Everyone were looking now..

Jim Gordon stopped and he looked at me with confusion. I doubt anyone expected this to happen. Tears started rolling down my face and my entire body was shaking. ‘’Step out of the way miss’’ Jim told me angrily. Bruce Wayne was staring at me too with the other guy who I thought was his butler. ‘’I can’t’’ I told Jim sadly and then I stepped a few steps back so I was closer to Jerome’s body. ‘’I said move!’’ Jim yelled now and he grabbed his gun.

‘’No! You wouldn’t do that if you were me and Jerome was Lee!’’ I whimpered and let more tears roll down my face. Suddenly Jim’s anger faded and he looked shocked, nearly sad. An arm draped around my waist and I flinched because I startled. It was Jerome. ‘’Yeah Jim you wouldn’t let anyone shoot dear old lee although you’re not a thing anyone’’ Jerome teased the armed police man. His voice and touch made me want to hug him, but I had to stay like this. ‘’Don’t talk about Lee’’ Jim growled. This turned truly dramatic.

‘’Yes I will. You need to understand Jim! I saw how you looked at her when you were at the circus that night. You would never let her die like this! Why the heck would I let Jerome die?’’ I raised my voice and now I got angry and frustrated. Jim loaded the gun and I knew he tried to scare me away. ‘’Shoot me fine I don’t care just don’t kill Jerome’’ I begged sadly. My arms started to feel heavy since I was still holding them up.

‘’You can’t kill me Jim. You’d break her heart’’ Jerome growled now. I shut my eyes for a second and I tried to keep myself together. Just as Jim was going to open his mouth, Bruce Wayne put his hand on Jim’s shoulder, catching his attention. ‘’Don’t’’ I heard Bruce say which surprised the hell out of me. Why did Bruce do that?

Before I could think too much, some of Jerome’s supporters broke free and they attacked the police. Some stepped in front of us and that was our shot to escape. ‘’Come on Y/N we need to go’’ he giggled with a weird voice, probably because his face was almost loose. He grabbed my hand and started running, dragging me with him. It didn’t take long until I started running too and adrenaline took over my body What the hell was happening?

‘’Whe-Where are we going?’’ I asked Jerome with my heart beating faster than ever. Jerome slowed down and pointed at a white van. ‘’Away’’ He replied simply and then opened the car door for me. ‘’Get in’’ He barked and I did exactly as told. I wasn’t sure if he had any feelings towards me anymore but I had hope. Together we got inside the van and Jerome started the engine. The police tried to catch us by running, but Jerome was really quick to get on the road and before I knew it he was speeding away from the chaos. I was silenced by shock.

He started laughing loudly while driving. I got a better look of him now. He was bleeding a lot and I doubted that his vision was great. Luckily he stayed on the road. ‘’You are full of surprises!’’ He snickered and glanced at me. At least he remembered me. ‘’I couldn’t let you die Jerome. Jim was going to knock you out. You should have seen his face’’ I explained with a shaky voice. It made him sigh.

‘’I always have a way to come back. This time my life card was you’’ He spoke mysteriously. I wonder what death had done to him. ‘’Hey’’ He suddenly gasped and seemed surprised. I nodded and waited for him to go on. ‘’Since you compared us to Jimmy and Lee..does that meant you have a crush on me?’’ Jerome asked me slickly. My eyes widened and I felt a little embarrassed. So I didn’t know what to say. Would he kill me? I wasn’t scared of that but I was scared of losing him.

‘’Silence is a sign of consent’’ He reminded me. ‘’Okay Jerome I like you. You’re the only friend I ever had. I wouldn’t die for anyone’’ I shrugged and wanted to sink into the leather seat. He just kept a smile on his face that seemed like it hurt like hell. His silence was killing me but I didn’t complain. At least I was by his side again.

‘’Do you wanna guess why I didn’t snitch of you to the police?’’ Jerome suddenly suggested strangely. ‘’Um..because snitches get stitches?’’ I guessed lamely. It made him laugh. ‘’Oh Y/N you’re still yourself. I thought you’d be terrified of me’’ He admitted with amusement in his voice. ‘’But the reason is because I like you and I didn’t want you to go to hell with me. I kinda had this feeling you’d come back sooner or later’’ Jerome admitted and made me feel tingly. Was he serious?

‘’Wait..so are you saying that..um..I mean..’’ I started blabbering something. Jerome hit the brakes and I squealed, holding onto the seat-belt so I wouldn’t fly through the window. No words were changed. He cupped my face and pulled me close to him. The next thing I knew was a shocker. Jerome pressed his bloody lips against mine, making my heart flutter like a butterfly on fire. I shut my eyes and let the moment control me.

I kissed him back gently and enjoyed the thrill I got. Although his face was almost falling off and he was bloody, I could enjoy the kiss because he did. Then he pulled back and looked into my eyes. ‘’is that a good answer for you?’’ He wanted to know. ‘’You bet it is’’ I giggled and suddenly I felt happy again. It’s like my sadness washed away and I could enjoy life again.

Because I knew that I had Jerome again and this time I wouldn’t leave his side no matter what..

“De nada, muchacha.”

Thank you for 100 follows! Needless to say, I miss these two real bad and I have for around six years. DC writers are pretty sadistic ya know that? Then again, I guess I might be too.

Because who has time or money to read almost 30 years of relationship development…

Road Trip

“Why are we doing this again?” Beca asked as the fourth hour of their forty three hour road trip from New York to California.

“Because Aubrey asked us to,” the redhead chirped, as if it were obvious and not at all completely out of the way.

“When did that become a valid reason to do anything?” The brunette glared at Chloe, adjusting her hands on the steering wheel.

Chloe and Beca had moved to LA together after Barden, only seeing the blonde, who lived in New York, a few times each year. As their totally platonic relationship progressed, you know, with being roommates and all, the pair found themselves frequently visiting all the other Bellas together more and more often, as well as even accompanying each other to their parents’ homes.

“You know Aubrey’s cousin Roger lives in LA,” Chloe stated, eyes moving from the passenger window to Beca, “we had to bring his mini van to LA.”

Beca was silent for a moment and Chloe had assumed she’d taken that as a good enough answer.

“But why did he even leave his car in New York?”

Chloe assumed wrong.

“Because he was visiting Aubrey and Aubrey’s older brother but his wife Catherine went into labor and he had to immediately fly out. God, don’t you pay any attention?”

“No, I had only assumed your twenty something, single ex-roommate and not-as-best-as-I-am friend had gone off the deep end and bought a mini van and wanted us to drive it to LA because she’s insane,” Beca said, causing Chloe to smack her arm and Beca to recoil in pain.

“Hush, you. Keep your eyes on the road.”

Nothing Else Matters [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

It was a couple weeks after you slept with Yoongi and all of your walls were deconstructed, you had no reason to be shy or nervous around him. Ultimately that night, wordlessly solidified your relationship with him, and things were looking up. Or so you thought.

You had gotten a text from your boss saying that she needed everyone in an hour early or so for a meeting. That text instantly raised questions for you, meetings were rare. The only time you ever collectively came together for a meeting was when they were introducing a new instructor or when you were putting together a performance. There wasn’t any performances coming up nor was there any news of a new hire. Your stomach twisted a little just mulling over the ideas of what this could be about.

You got dressed, pulling on a sweatshirt over your clothes. You inhaled the familiar scent and smiled to yourself. You remembered how hard it was to convince your boyfriend to let you borrow it.

"Ha! You must be out of your mind.“ Yoongi laughed at your question. You two had been arguing over this for the better part of the night.

"Come on Agust Dick! I’m cold!” you whined trying to make him see how unreasonable he was being.

“Y/n that’s what you get for not bringing your own jacket.” he smirked.

“Fine! I’ll go borrow one from Jimin.” you turned away from Yoongi and sought out the younger boy who had a crush on you. “Jiminie!” You knew he’d be a tad bit jealous of you wearing anything of Jimin’s, or anyone else’s for that matter.

"Fine! Here!“ Yoongi said frustrated but unzipped his sweatshirt nonetheless. "If you ruin my favorite sweatshirt…” he didn’t finish as you slipped the piece of clothing on. You were a bit dwarfed in his sweatshirt but happy that you managed to get it from him.

“Mmm see now I’m all warm,” you told Yoongi, leaning into his side as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder. He kissed the top of your head as you snuggled in closer to him on the couch in their dorm. You loved how affectionate he actually was. His cold and uncaring demeanor was just an act.

Zipping up the sweatshirt you headed for the studio. Once you arrived, your boss asked for all of you to gather around.

Where’d You Wanna Go?

I don’t know what this is. Fluff. Kinda M rated for the beginning, though. Read here or ff.net

It’s a love-hate relationship, rising early. Sometimes he’d do anything to sleep, at least, another hour (especially when he’d only gone to bed three hours before hand) but other times, he lives for those early moments. Moments where he’s got hours to just lie there, listen to the world wake up all around him and he can feel like he’s the only one fully awake.

This is one of those moments.

She shifts beside him, murmuring some incoherent words as she rolls to face him, still asleep, a few strands of hair getting wrapped around her neck in the movement. The struggles of long hair, he muses to himself as his hand comes up to drag the hair away, lest she wake up almost strangled.

April 4, 2017

This summer 2017 is probably the happiest summer I’ve had in ages because well, it had the most adventures and secondly, it was spent with my family. Right after my cousins arrived in Davao from Manila, we immediately prepared our things and travelled to Surigao Del Sur, even though they were straight fresh from the airport. We ain’t wasting any time hahahaha! About 3pm, I came home from school (I had to start my clearance), and they were already waiting for me and for our vehicle to arrive. We rented a van. Few minutes passed, we were already on our way to Surigao Del Sur. On the way, I really didn’t want to sleep because I wasn’t going to miss out any beautiful views. We don’t always travel this far by land, so I’m not going to miss my chances. Then I realized we were to sit on a van for at least 8 hours so I need to get some rest.

After about seven hours and so, we already had a stopped over to eat, we arrived at the resort, Mac Arthur’s Place. We settled, had dinner and went to bed. 8 hours, what a travel, right?

The next morning, we woke up at 6 am to have breakfast. We then proceeded to the island hopping! It’s my first time, if that’s shocking for you hahahahaha! I already forgot the names of the islands but there were 4 of them. I remember one of them was called Naked Island because it didn’t have trees. It was just sand.

The weather was perfect for island hopping. It was about to rain and so it looked like the clouds were following us. We could see it was raining on the other side and it was heading on our direction.

I also got to taste some kind of sea urchin. I wasn’t going to in the first place but my mom insisted, “Minsan lang ‘to. Try mo na, baka pagsisihan mo pa.” So yeah, I tasted a bit. It was salty but I think that’s because they washed it with ocean water. Overall, I wouldn’t taste it again HAHAHAHA!

After those 4 small islands and after hundreds of pictures, we headed back to the resort to check out. We were on the road again on the way to the famous Enchanted River (6th photo). It was enchanting, of course. It has a crystal clear water. You can see the bottom clearly and the fishes swimming around you.

Then we rode to Tinuy-an falls. We sure did made our time in Surigao worthwhile. My tanline sure is worth it hahahaha! Gahd I never realized how light my skin used to be, now it’s about 2 tones darker HAHAHAHAHA.

Surigao is indeed one of the wonders of the Philippines. It was worth the 8 hours of travelling by land. You all should visit sometime soon! Especially the Enchanted River! I witnessed its beauty with my own eye, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to do so.

okay legends heist crew au i made with @masonjo on the 7 train one time

basically libby loves ocean’s 11 so that was kind of our base and we went from there. like mick and len and lisa were already a crew, but now they want to go after like, vandal savage’s huge casino and they need more than just the 3 of them. they were gonna ask cisco but he screens their calls

Looks like we need mom here to show daddy how it's done.

I decided to give my wife a break and take my almost two year old out for the day. I had some things to return to the mall, so we went there first. As we drive into the parking lot, I can already tell it’s going to be a good day. The coveted front row spot was waiting for us. My daughter is in a great mood. I’m in a great mood. Life is awesome. We bought stuff, rode the carousel, rode 50 cent rides, Disney store, Build a Bear, we had a near perfect day… until we left.

Walked out of the mall and got to the minivan. I put my daughter in her carseat and proceeded to unload our loot into the back of the van. During this time, a car with a 45+ lady is waiting for my front row spot. I can feel her tapping her foot in her car. I start to fold up the stroller and forgot to unpack the little things (hairbow, snacks, random things) from the holder on the stroller handle. I stop to take out that stuff and put it in the van when I hear the lady say from her car to me, “Looks like we need mom here to show daddy how it’s done!” I can tell she’s trying to be funny, but this pissed me off. I give her a fake smile and go about my business.

This lady doesn’t know me. She doesn’t know if I’m divorced or a widower or anything. People make comments like this all the time to dads out spending time with their kids and it gets under my skin.

So, I slowly pack the rest of the stuff, go around to the side door and get my daughter out of her seat. I start to walk back to the mall right beside this lady’s car. I look at her like I’m surprised and say, “Oh I’m sorry! Were you waiting on MY spot? We’re just dropping off some stuff in the van.” I can see that she’s perturbed. I finish it with a “Happy New Year!” She speeds off and I watch her from the front door of the mall. She has to park towards the back of the parking lot. I walk right back to the van, pack the kid, and drive away. I guess daddy showed her how it’s done.

Petty Revenge: Internet`s best petty revenge stories are here. | credit

It’s been a few weeks since we purchased El Tortuga, our new ‘77 VW Bus, and we have been busy making plans for the restoration! One of my favorite things is rescuing these old souls and bringing them back to their former glory.

We’ve ordered a handful of parts, fixed a few brake/clutch issues, and given it a healthy 3 coats of wax while we wait for a slot to open up for a new coat of paint.

All in all, this bus is in great shape! Little to no rust (just surface rust in a few places that needs to be sanded before it becomes deep cancer), and a decent interior (all the camping parts work great). Engine seems to be running great after a few adjustments.

We’re excited to start on this journey with this newer bus! We learned so much from the restore on our ‘67, and can’t wait to start all over again.

Last Day On Earth- Glenn Rhee Imagine

Requested by Anon

Request: Glenn imagine where he’s with Maggie and you guys are best friends and your the one Negan kills and there’s just sadness and flashbacks and when they all leave he goes to your body and cries.

AN: The Anon didn’t say how long her and Glenn were friends so I made it to where they knew each other before the apocalypse.

“Get her up and on her knees,” I looked at our surroundings, we couldn’t run. Rick nodded and we began to help Maggie down.
“What do we do?" I whispered to Rick.
This is the first time I’ve seen him like this, fearful. "What we have to.”

When we were all kneeled, my hands started to shake, “Dwight, hustle, bring ‘em out.”
The guy known as Dwight opened the back of the van, aggressively pulling out Daryl. They shot him, he was pale and weak. Michonne followed then Rosita. And then Glenn.
“Glenn,” I whispered.

Whoa take it easy pizza boy,” I joked as Glenn frantically ran into our apartment.
“We need to go, now,” he said, throwing an empty bag onto the counter, starting to fill it with food.
I got off of the couch, rushing to him, “What are you talking about? Are you okay?”
“There are people eating each other out there, Y/N, attacking everyone…” he mumbled on but I laughed.
“Glenn, if you’re on some kind of drug, as your best friend I deserve to know.”
“I’m not on any kind of drugs Y/N!” he shouted, fear in his eyes. “It’s a shit show down there, now get your shit and let’s go.”
“Go where?”
“Somewhere safer than this place.”

“Alright, let’s meet the man.” With a simple knock on the RV door it swung open, a man stepping out.
“We pissin’ our pants yet?” he started slowly towards us. “Boy do I have a feelin’ we’re gettin’ close. Yep. It’s gonna be pee pee pants city here real soon.”
He stopped, glancing at us, “Now which one of you pricks is the leader?”
“This one,” they point at Rick. “He’s the guy.”
“Hi, you’re Rick right? I’m Negan.”
So this was Negan. The man you’ve been told about. You heard what he did to people, you’ve seen it. And now, one of you were going to die.
“-Give me your shit… or I will kill you. Today was career day. We invested a lot so you would know who I am and what I can do. You work for me now. You have shit, you give it to me. That’s your job. Now, I know that is a mighty big, nasty pill to swallow, but swallow it you most certainly will.”
He wanted us to work for him. Hell no. That would never happen. If he thinks I’ll let him win he must be pretty stupid. A man like him, they get defeated easy, we’ve won before, we will do it again.
“Jesus,” his voice broke me out of a trance again and this time he was standing in front of Maggie. “You look shitty, I should just put you out of your misery right now.”

“She’s cute,” I told Glenn as we started to hang the laundry to dry on a clothes line. Hershel allowed us to stay on his farm, just until Carl got better, and Glenn caught sight of Hershel’s older daughter Maggie.
“Maggie, she’s cute.”
“Don’t keep playing dumb with me, Glenn. I know you better than you know yourself, I catch you staring at her. Somethin’ happen?”
“Well you should go for it, our last day could be right around the corner, don’t take it for granted.”

“NO!” Glenn shouts, jumping from his spot, only to get knocked down again, getting kicked over and over again.
“STOP!” I screamed as Glenn got a crossbow to his face.
“Nope. Nope, get him back in line.”
“Don’t,” Glenn begged, tears in his eyes. “Don’t.”
Negan just chuckled, “All right, listen. Don’t any of you do that again. I will shut that shit down, no exceptions. First one’s free. It’s an emotional moment, I get it” Negan strolled to stand in front of Rick. “Sucks don’t it? The moment you realize you don’t know shit.”
Negan stared at all of us but my eyes looked at Glenn, he was watching Maggie. I felt a tug at my heart, my eyes filling with more tears thinking about how happy he was just a few weeks ago when he found out about the baby and how distressed he was now.
“I simply cannot decide,’ Negan turned back around. "I’ve got an idea.”

’Here’s an idea,“ I started, grinning. "Just ask her already.”
Glenn looked at me, “What do you mean?”
“Maggie, ask her.”
“Ask her what?”
“To marry you, dumbass.”
“I…I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I saw the ring, saw you cut it off that Walker. She’ll say yes.”
“You think so?”
“Oh I know so. She loves you, and it’s now or never. We could all be dead by tomorrow, it’s best to do it now, just so she knows, just in case.”
“Then I’ll do it tonight.”
I playfully scruffed up his hair, “Tha'ts my boy!”
He laughed, casing me to burst into a fit of giggles.

“Eeny. Meeny. Miney. Moe.”
This was how he was going to decide. A children's game. Our life was in the hands of a stupid game.
“Catch a tiger,’ Daryl glared at him.
"By his toe,” he pointed at me and my head went down.
This was it. My hands were in fists at my side, keeping them steady until Negan’s voice got louder.
“And you. Are. It.”
My head lifted up, seeing the bat pointed directly at Glenn.

“What in the hell was that?!” Glenn shouted at me.
“I just saved your life!”
“You almost got killed.”
“Well I’m sorry, Glenn! I’m not just going to sit back and lose the only person I have left.”
His eyes softened, “I could’ve handled it.”
“It almost bit you, you didn’t almost have it.”
“And it almost bit you too.”
He pulled me into a hug, “What would I do without you?”
“I have no idea.”

My heart sped up and I could already hear Maggie’s cries. He couldn’t die. He was going to be a father. He had to be there for her.
“Hey asshole!” I shouted, causing everyone to look at me.
“Asshole huh?” Negan asked me, moving next to Glenn to where I was kneeled.
“You heard me,” I spit at him, the glob landing on the tip of his boot.
“You’re looking for a death wish.”
“Then do it, kill me, or are you too much of a pussy?”
“Pussy huh? Now my men know I don’t usually kill a woman but you heard her right boys?” some of the men nodded. “Your friend gets to live another day, but as for you, well,” he gripped Lucille tighter. “It’s your last day on earth.”

“You’re insane, Y/N,” Glenn said as we walked through the woods.
“How am I insane?”
“You always manage to escape death, how?”
“Nothing can kill me.”
“Yeah, okay,” he said. “Get too cocky and it will.”
“No, I’m serious, nothing can kill me.”
“Mhmmm, sure.”
“Unless I want to go.”
“Nothing can kill me unless I’m ready to go. Once I’m ready, I’ll let whatever it is take me,” I jogged ahead of him. “So it looks like your stuck with me for a long time.”

When Negan stopped hitting Y/N he looked at me and laughed, “Enjoy your life you sorry shit.”
Negan flicked his bat around, flinging her blood off onto the ground, “I’ll be back in one weeks tops, until then, ta ta.”

When he left I crawled over to Y/N’s body, not knowing what to do now. She was there for everything, since we were teens. She’s dead because of me. My body was shaking when I got down next to her.
“I’m sorry,” I cried.  "I’m so sorry.“
I felt a hand on my back and an arm around my shoulder. It was Rosita, I could feel her tears on my head as she tried to comfort me over the loss. But no amount of comfort worked. It never would.

AN: I tried to do my best, I don’t think its’ sad enough but let me know what you guys think

Don't need to answer this. You know I'm here for you, I told you right? It's not that bad to be 'unoriginal' as you say. No one's completely original. We all have our sources of inspiration. Even if it's from another series, movie, novel, or book. Fifty shades of grey started as a Twilight fanfiction. After started as a 1D fanfiction. Even artists like Van Gogh. Or physical scientists as Bohr or De Broglie, who needed Schrödinger to find answers. Or philosophers. Don't worry :) (Minari)

this is really really helpful!! thank you so much i always tend to have this mindset that if i don’t create my own things i’m not worth anything and it’s really irrational thank you for this information and nice message ❤❤

It was about 1:45 in the morning and right about now Seventeen lay and rest in their van on the way back to the dorms after an extremely long and exhausting fan sign. The ride home was quite and tranquil there was almost no cars on the road and all that could be heard from the van was the sound of laughter. Seungkwan and Hoshi were both reminiscing on all the silly stuff they had to do for the fans all while roasting Woozi on his formidable aegyo.
But before things got to serious one of their new managers from the states spoke up “ You guys should all do more sleeping and less talking the concert is tomorrow and I am getting a headache from all this chit-chat.” Hoshi smiled slyly and said “ Well if we are bothering you too much Andre then maybe plug your damn ears!” Andre rolled his eyes and put his earbuds in and turned on his music full blast and closed his eyes. He was one of the two new managers working with them from the states Louisiana to be exact both from New Orleans. The other manager Angel was out making preparations for their concert stage tomorrow and boy was he busy.
While the chit-chat continued Seungcheol looked over at Andre and shook his head “ How is he going to complain about a headache while his music is blasting louder than that Seungkwan’s voice.” They all stopped to look over at him and started to chuckle.
“ Yah Hyungg my voice isn’t THAT loud.” Seungkwan cried.
“ Yes it is!  that’s why you aren’t good with girls every time you get nervous your voice gets all high-pitched and squeaky.” Everyone started to laugh while Seungkwan sat there blushing and turning redder than the tomato he so detested.
“ Speaking of girls..” Vernon spoke quietly. “ How have you and Nayoung been coming along Josh.” All of them suddenly turned to Joshua and gaped at him wide eyed.  Finally Dokyeom spoke up and said “ WHAT SINCE WHEN ?HOW LONG?” Joshua felt awkward and it was noticeable he sat crisscrossed with his arms together and a big blush across his face.
“ It hasn’t been that long maybe a month or two …nothing serious just everyday talk no need to make this huge fuss …and thanks Vernon for keeping this a secret.”
“ What do you mean nothing serious ??!!?” Dino stated. “ This is the first time any of us has talked to a girl in a romantic sorta way how did this all start?!."
"well..” Joshua started but before he could finish Andre opened his eyes and took out his head phones and said “SHHH be quite do you guys hear that ?” All at once they stopped their common talk and tried to listen for the sound he was talking about. A  faint but loud honking and screeching noise was heard and Andre looked out the window to see a huge fourteen wheeler coming straight at them. He screamed at the driver to swerve and to slowdown but it was to late the van and truck collided leaving everyone in darkness.

The collision was worse than anyone could have thought. A fire started on both vehicles rubber and chunks of scrap metal flew everywhere leaving the air to smell of burnt rubber and burnt flesh. Both drivers tragically passed both on fire and charring. Almost all the passengers in the van living on a thin thread except for Jeonghan and Andre. Jeonghan was dead for sure his side was impacted the most and the person to his left Minghao was also hit the hardest he wasn’t dead but he might as well have been. The only one who was conscious and able to talk was their manager Andre. However he did not come out unscathed his left eye had a metal rod stuck in it all the way through. He tried to get up the best he could to see who was alive and injured and when he got completely up he groaned and gripped the rod stuck in his eye and pulled it out and screamed. He then took out a vile the size of a large perfume bottle and took a swig. In it was a vampires blood that could heal any and all wounds after he took it the wound slowly began to heal. Andre then began to look and see who survived and who was injured all in critical condition with two dead Jeonghan and sadly Minghao. He took out his phone from his pocket brutally cracked and dirty and dialed the Ceo’s number.
one ring ..two rings…three rings….four rings. “ Come on pick up the fucking phone Andre yelled.” Finally he picks up “ Hello ” sounds an older mans voice . Andre almost cries  with relief “ YES HELLO BOSS THERE HAS BEEN AN ACCIDENT OUR VAN CRASHED INTO A FOURTEEN WHEELER AND IT HAS LEFT 10 CRITICALLY INJURED AND 2 DEAD!” silence on the other end then the Ceo speaks up his voice serious and monotone “ Then turn them like I have told you to do from the get go this happened for a reason and I am glad it did now once they’ve turned we have no need to fear our rival Starship this was all meant to happen like it should have from the beginning.”
Andre feels anger and disbelief boil in him and he starts to scream at him “ HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT THEY  ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND YOU WANT ME TO TURN THEM INTO MONSTERS YOU DISGUST ME!”

“ Be that as it may if you didn’t feel the same way you would have called 911 instead of me but I think even though you don’t want them to become these so called monsters part of you is selfish and doesn’t  want to see them die so be a man and either turn them or let them rot.” he then hung up leaving Andre feeling speechless and dizzy. The only reason Andre was really hired was because of the fact he was a warlock his job was to protect the company from the rival gang/company Starship Entertainment by any means necessary.

With time running out Andre had to make a quick decision and he decided that he grew to love all the boys so much that it absolutely killed him that Josh may never get to go on an actual date with Nayoung or hear Seungkwans loud high-pitched voice again . So he chose to turn them. He took out the vile of vampires blood and went to each and everyone of them and poured it into their mouths. Because the blood was limited me made sure to put the most in Jeonghan’s and Minghao’s mouths. When he got to all of the boys he took out a small piece of pink chalk and drew symbols onto the ground and begun the ritual.
It lasted a total of 15 minutes and when he was done chanting the spell it was silent. It was now 3:45 a whole two hours passed since they have been on the road how quickly time fades. Andre waited for the spell to kick in praying that it both worked and didn’t work for if it did work then their lives would change forever.

Ten more minutes pass and Andre started to worry that if the transition didn’t happen soon then they would really be dead from the sun exposure. Then all of a sudden he heard gasps from some of the members one by one they all woke up with all wounds healed gasping for air.  While the transition was in its final stages everyone was up and trying to gather the events that had taken place even Jeonghan and Minghao who were as dead as a door nail woke up confused and very thirsty. Andre took this time to sneak away to make another phone call before he was bombarded with questions.

He scrolled to his contacts to find (y/n)’s name and dialed it. “ Hey (y/n) its me it seems like I’m gonna need another bottle of your blood I had to use it for an emergency.”

so I watched some girlfriend tag videos today cause I wanted to see what kinda questions they did and I feel like it’s a really good way to start our channel tbh c: but what I’m also really excited about is, I love telling people like how we met and how we got together and now we can tell it together (to a camera though but anyways) and that just seems like alot of fun?? and I saw this video of miles and amy (long time ago) where they asked eachother questions like what was the first thing I texted you or something and I thought it was funny and maybe we can add that kind of stuff in as well :p

Jordan Pt.6

Co-written with @greysukay. Takes place in 11x23. Settle in, because it’s 7 pages long…

Amelia stood with a pebble in her hand, stroking the smooth texture and ignoring Owen’s expectant gaze. She said she’d tell him what happened in Jordan, and there was no way of avoiding it now.

“We had been warned that the enemy was on its way,” she started, her voice muffled and unsure. “It gave us twenty minutes max. The patients were moved, the unit was moved, and the essentials from the camp were packed. The ultrasounds belonged in our van and we couldn’t see them anywhere. We needed them, so we went back to the camp to get them…”

The camp wasn’t far from the vans; approximately a four minute walk. Amelia had walked the same length for almost three of the six months she spent there, transporting patients, equipment, doctors or soldiers. She knew the distance all too well.

“They’re supposed to be on this table,” April murmured in frustration.

“Maybe someone stole them,” Amelia joked as she leaned on one of the tables some metres away from her.

“Maybe you can actually help me instead of making jokes,” she grumbled, looking in a closet under the table, “Found it!” She jumped up and raised the ultrasound into the air.

“Great, now hurry up so we can finally leave,” Amelia grumbled. April rolled her eyes and walked towards her. Amelia turned her back and began walking…

And that’s when she heard the unforgettable sound of a gun coming off its safety.

“I had blood in my veins and in a split second, it turned to pure adrenaline,” Amelia recalled. She saw Owen nod, knowing he understood the sensation all too well, having been shot himself. She threw the pebble at the lake and watched it sink after two bounces. She sighed and whispered, “I wasn’t expecting it to be so loud.”

She was a mixing pot of determination, vulnerability and sadness. Against all his instincts telling him to wrap her up in his arms, Owen crouched to the ground and picked up a stone, letting Amelia continue in her own time.

Her ears were ringing from the loud noise. One minute, April was running to where she was and then, the next thing Amelia knew, the redhead was on the ground, nursing a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Not knowing where the gun shot had come from, she ducked down on the floor and crawled towards the injured surgeon.

Her mind was racing as she watched April’s face contort in pain. Her wound, although likely superficial and non-fatal, looked very painful. From the way blood gushed out of her shoulder, though, she could tell that it ripped through some muscle tissue and that it would be a while before she regained full control and movement in her hand.

“Stay still,” Amelia whispered, reaching into one of her shirt pockets and pulling out a small supply of gauze pads. Sitting up, she pressed them to her wound and April groaned, despite trying her hardest not to.

A young man yelled in Arabic at them, his tone of voice making it sound like he was threatening the two doctors. Amelia ducked her head when she heard his gun go off again. Definitely a theat. Dark thoughts creeped into her brain as she knelt there, feeling like this was where it would all end for her. To get back her hand, she grabbed April’s hand and pressed it against the gauze on her shoulder wound. Assessing her situation, she found that she was at an extreme disadvantage and the possibility of the both of them making it out alive was unlikely. April was injured and bleeding, which rendered her useless, they were cornered behind a table, and Amelia couldn’t tell who or where the Arabic person was.

Leaving April at the left end of the table, she slowly crawled to the right end and pushed her head as far out as possible, without giving away her location. She couldn’t see anything, but she could hear the heavy crunch of combat boots in the sand as the person walked through the abandoned camp, searching for them. She knew, when she heard the crunching getting louder and louder, that the person was getting closer and that she’d have to do something soon before they both ended up dead. The soldiers back at the van would wait about ten minutes before they got suspicious and came looking for them, which meant that it would take fourteen minutes for them to arrive where they were and save them.

Only six minutes had passed since she and April had left the van.

Amelia knew she had no choice but to draw her own gun and protect them both. She could feel the weight, the denseness, of the gun as she pulled it out of her holster. Once upon a time, a gun just like this had killed her father and injured her brother. Now, here she was, using a gun to injure someone. Even if it was to protect her, it still made her sick to her stomach.

“For some reason, I never thought I’d need to actually use my gun when I was out there. The thought had never occurred to me, even when we were training with them,” she mused, looking up to the darkened sky with trembling lips. Owen noticed her hands had tensed up and balled into fists. He passed her a stone, catching her eyes briefly before she took it.

With a shaky breath, she took the gun off its safety and slipped her index finger through the trigger. The crunching boots stopped; the person heard her gun.

Amelia froze—all her breath trapped. She could hear and feel her heart thumping in her chest as she listened for the person’s footsteps, counting them as they came closer to her.

Crunch, crunch.

The adrenalin in her body could wait no longer, and she found herself jumping out of her hiding spot far sooner than she intended. The enemy soldier stood a few metres away. They lifted their guns at the same time.

“I dropped my gun and barely heard it hit the floor. This feeling of… of dread just… washed over me.”

Sinking to the floor, she watched as the soldier collapsed in front of her, falling head first into the sand.

“My ears were ringing. I couldn’t hear anything and everything was blurry, but I could see how small the soldier’s body was. It was as small as mine…”

7.5 minutes.

“Amelia?” April groaned, sitting up, “Are you hurt?”

“I’m fine,” she called out in a hoarse voice that she didn’t recognise, “I…I think I killed someone.” April crawled out from behind the table and saw the soldier on the floor.

“We should go, then,” the redhead suggested, “There’s probably more coming.”

That’s when they heard it. It was less of a scream and more of a loud whimper, but it communicated the same message: pain. Life. Amelia immediately ran over to the incapacitated soldier and flipped the body over. The person was still alive; she didn’t kill anyone.

“Amelia, what are you doing?” April hissed, watching the neurosurgeon rip the soldier’s vest off. Out of the three bullets, one had luckily gotten right under the bulletproof vest and into the stomach. The other two were absorbed by the vest. Curiosity got the better of her, and Amelia found herself ripping the head gear off the soldier’s face to see whom she’d injured.

8 minutes.

Her heart almost dropped when she saw the face behind all the equipment. It was a young boy, no older than 14. His hair was a very dark brown while his eyes were an electric blue, in contrast. She might’ve ogled at the boy longer, but the blood seeping violently out of his abdomen distracted her.

“I don’t think there’s an exit wound,” Amelia said to April as she reached behind the boy’s back to feel for any wounds. Nothing. She helplessly looked around for anything medical or close to it that could help her. The ultrasound wouldn’t be of any use to them and she’d already used all her gauze pads on April. All she had was her on-the-go suture kit in her back pack, and that was basically useless.

“Can you speak English?” Amelia asked the boy. The young man nodded, his widened eyes beginning to glisten with tears.

“There’s so much blood,” she rasped, “I can’t…” Amelia winced as she heard the soldier’s loud groans. Blood was everywhere; on the floor, on her hands, on her green, camouflage uniform.

“Amelia, we need to go,” April stressed, the sounds of gunfire coming closer and closer.

“We can’t just leave him!” she exclaimed, determined to stop the blood flowing freely out of the young male’s abdomen. The smell of copper mixed with sand infiltrated her nostrils and made her nauseous. This was her fault.

She did this.

“I did it,” she managed to whisper in a shaky breath, biting her lip as tears filled her eyes and threatened to spill.

9 minutes.

“I don’t want to die,” the soldier said in a watery voice. She wasn’t sure if it was watery because he was crying or because of the blood that was probably beginning to make its way up his oesophagus. He coughed up blood the second the thought left her mind.

“Do you have any gauze pads on you?” Amelia asked April. The trauma surgeon sighed and, knowing Amelia wouldn’t leave until it was absolutely necessary to leave, reached into one of her shirt pockets to search for what she had requested, but pulled out nothing. The Shepherd donned a pair of latex gloves that she carried around in one of her pockets and began examining the boy’s abdomen to see if she could locate the piece of metal. The soldier looked up at her, his clear blue eyes cringing as she pulled the bullet out. Without faltering, she unbuttoned her camouflage jacket and shrugged it off, using it as replacement gauze to slow the bleeding until the other soldiers came to help them.

“His eyes, Owen,” Amelia said, now looking directly into her audience’s eyes. “His eyes were as blue as Derek’s. As blue as yours.”

“I don’t want to die,” the young man repeated, groaning loudly.

“You’re not going to,” Amelia said in a stern voice as she attempted to apply more pressure than she already was. She looked up at April, who looked disapprovingly back at her.

“They always teach you to never make promises to the patient or their family,” she said, fiddling with the tiny pebble in her right hand.

10 minutes.

“Amelia!” April yelled, grabbing the Shepherd’s arm, “We need to go NOW.”

“Just give me two minutes, I can fix this,” Amelia retorted in an equally loud voice. She could see the full effects of shock taking effect on the poor boy and, although she knew she couldn’t fix him immediately, leaving him here to die was unthinkable. After what she did, there was no other choice but to help him or die trying.

“Amelia, we can’t do anything to save him,” April said again, “He’s the enemy. It’s not our priority to nurse his wounds. You can’t keep pressure on his stomach forever.”

“Watch me,” she replied in a stubborn voice. She wasn’t leaving him here unless someone dragged her by her hair. She was determined to wait with the boy until help arrived.

“What if the enemy comes?” April continued, hearing the faint sounds of guns going off in the distance.

“I’ll convince them that we’re just trying to help,” Amelia answered, “They’ll understand.”

“That’s not how this works and you know it,” she countered, pointing at the blood seeping through her jacket and into the sand, “He’s still bleeding. Profusely.” The boy touched his stomach and then lifted his hand to his face, seeing how much blood was on his hand. The woman holding pressure on his abdomen, although the enemy, made him feel somewhat comforted. Her brunette hair and blue eyes reminded him of his mother. If he squinted hard enough, he could even see her. Or maybe he was just hallucinating.

“He started to smile…” Amelia managed to say through a hitched breath.

11 minutes.

“Mama,” the boy whispered, so low that only Amelia could hear. The second he said the word, tears came to her eyes.

He had a mother.

She had to save him.

Owen watched as the pebble in her hand slipped out of her grasp and fell to the floor; she didn’t even notice that she dropped it. The second she told him that the boy had a mother, she became silent. Her eyes weren’t staring at anything in particular, so he knew that her mind was back there, in that desert. She was reliving that exact moment where she had her hands on that boy, where she watched half her body and the sand beneath them get soaked in his life force, his blood. Owen could only imagine what that must’ve felt like. If it was anything like watching the mutilated bodies of his platoon strung over a seven metre radius after an explosion killed all of them except him, then he was surprised that she was still standing right now.

14 minutes.

When the two soldiers came into the abandoned camp, they didn’t expect to see the scene. April’s shoulder was bloodied and her arm looked lifeless and Amelia sat on her knees in front of an unknown person, her hands pressed into his bloodied abdomen. They couldn’t tell whose blood was whose; there was so much of it on all of them.

“Kepner, what’s going on?” the first soldier, private Sharp, queried.

“No time for questions,” private Hawk, the second soldier, said. He ran over to April and helped her to her feet, “Sharp, you take Kepner. I’ll get Shepherd.” The soldier complied, taking Kepner and wrapping her good arm around his neck for support. Hawk stooped to Amelia’s level and looked at the boy she had her hands in.

“Shepherd,” he called, grabbing her shoulder gently, “Who is he?”

“Doesn’t matter,” Amelia said in a monotone voice as she stared at her soaking, red arms, “He’s already dead.”

“I watched the last remnants of a boy’s life leave his eyes…” Amelia said flatly, shutting her eyes, “I can still see them when I close my eyes.”

Owen noticed the change in her voice from pained and tearful, to monotone and strong.

Hawk looked down at the boy’s face. His eyes were open and staring straight up; they were the exact reflection of Amelia’s eyes.

“I killed him,” she said, snapping her eyes up to Hawk; there was a frightening look in them, one that he’d never seen on a person before, “I shot him.” He couldn’t describe what the look was, but all he knew was that it made his blood crawl. He didn’t think that it was possible for a woman like her to evoke such a reaction like that out of him. He reached for the boy’s face and closed his eyelids. Putting his gun to the side, he slowly put his hands atop Amelia’s and grasped them.

“We need to go,” Hawk told her, slowly lifting her hands off his abdomen. She watched carefully as he lifted her once army green jacket off the boy’s body and handed it to her.

“I don’t want that,” Amelia said in a shaky but slightly raised voice.

“We can’t leave it here,” he replied, “It has your name on it.” Realising that there was no way she’d touch the jacket, Hawk threw the jacket over her and tied it around her neck. “Let’s go,” he said, standing up and sticking his hand out to help her up, “Shepherd, come on.” Amelia stayed rooted in her position on the floor, staring at the boy’s lifeless body. The smell of copper was now ten times worse with the jacket wrapped around her like this. It was suiting, she thought, to wear the jacket covered in the blood of the person she killed. She deserved this torturous chamber wrapped around her like those silly cardigans that rich whites wore around their necks for style.

“He was so small…”

“Shepherd,” he tried again. Hearing the sounds of gunshots very nearby, his patience wore thin. Unable to take the time to coax her out of her trance, Hawk slung his gun behind his shoulder, lifted her off the floor and carried her bridal style towards his other comrades.

“I hope you don’t mind if Sharp carries you too,” he told April, “The enemy is getting too close and you’re not fast enough in your current state.” April complied and let the soldier carry her and the ultrasound in his arms. They managed to escape without any confrontations, which was a blessing seeing as how close they’d come to getting discovered.

“I couldn’t think… I was so numb…” she said, scratching the most perfect of all flat pebbles with her nails.

Amelia didn’t speak for the four minute walk back to the vans.

“Can you think now?” Owen asked, speaking for the first time since she started her story.

She didn’t speak for the two hour drive to their next camp. She just stared at nothing.

She didn’t speak when April and the two soldiers explained to the Captain what had happened. She just stared at nothing.

“I know you’re right… I need to talk to someone… I know…” she admitted, bringing a hand to her face to pinch the bridge of her nose. It was something she did to slow or stop an oncoming wave of tears.

She didn’t speak when April helped strip her of her crimson red jacket and pants. She just stared at nothing.

“If I were qualified, I would help Amelia. You know I would do anything to take your pain away,” he assured her.

She didn’t speak as the ice cold water stabbed into the skin on her back, as the tears and screams of pain she’d held since four hours prior finally came out. She just stared at the water, mixed with blood, as circled the drain beneath her.

“I know,” she repeated.

She didn’t speak for the rest of the week that they were there. She just stared at nothing, unless she was needed, and no one ever requested her assistance. They all walked on eggshells around her. Sometimes she would hear Sharp and Hawk talking about what happened, how it looked like a massacre in that camp, blood everywhere. She would hear them say that if it was them, and that if they didn’t see bloody murder every day, they’d have checked into a mental facility or have already committed suicide. That they were surprised she was still standing. Silly platoon talk, the usual. She ignored it and sometimes didn’t even notice it, being too lost in her world where only she and that young solider existed.

“Are you willing then? To see someone?” he tried.

She didn’t speak even when they boarded the two planes to get back to Seattle.

“To speak to someone?” she asked.

She didn’t speak.

“Someone who can help,” he confirmed.

She didn’t speak, until Owen Hunt opened her office door and greeted her.

“There’s only one person I’d be willing to see,” she cautiously agreed.

No words had come until then.

She threw the pebble, watched it skip five or six times and slowly turned her back on the water, walking away from Owen, from the lake, from the story…

Something I've been thinking about lately

And I’m not sure how much of a basis this has because I haven’t gone full ‘scholar mode’ on canonical source material, but…

Why does Cecil get away with saying the things on air that he does?

And I ask this because really, he gets away with saying way more than he ostensibly should in a police state, even given his status as the (presumably unironic?) Night Vale Government’s #1 Fanboy and Official Spokesperson.

I think the reason is that although he practices subversive journalism, the government does not believe that he poses a threat to their power.

  Part 22

You walked out of the airport, the cold air hitting you, and shivered. “Cold babe?” Calum asked walking out and wrapping his arm around you.

"I’ll be fine,“ You reassured him. He looked at you for a moment before nodding.

"This place is going to be sick,” Michael said walking out and looking around the arriving flights area.

"And just think, we get to come back an play music,“ Ashton said following Michael’s lead and looking around.

"Come on children,” Your mom said walking out with Cato helping her carry some bags and Van holding Busted’s cage. “We’re staying at my sister’s hotel.”

"Your sister owns a hotel?“ Amelia asked.

"Holy shit,” Luke said when he saw a small lie of town cars pulling up to your small group.

"Everyone in,“ You said smiling. With your word everyone scattered to put their bags in the trunk before everyone got in. Calum, of course, sat down next to you and whispered things in your ear making Luke very uncomfortable.

"I love you,” Calum said messing with a piece of your hair. You laughed and nodded, making Calum smile, “I love you too.”

"Would you two stop?“ Luke asked finally popping. "You two are awesome mates but I cannot take this another second.”

"Alright, alright. We will stop,“ Calum said taking his arm from around you and grabbing your hand. The rest of the trip you were silent, listening to Luke and Calum talk.  When you finally got out Calum wrapped his arms around your waist and turned spun you around. "We’re in San Fransisco!” Calum yelled from the top of his lungs, grabbing everyone’s attention.

"We get that you’re excited,“ Van laughed as everyone started to file into the hotel.

"Let’s hurry up so we can get to the campus to walk around,” Cato said flying past everyone. You looked at Calum and started to laugh as you walked in. As you got closer everyone heard some people talking, mentioning the boys names. Everyone stopped and turned to see a group of people watching your every move. When the group saw you look over they jumped and laughed before walking over to Calum, Luke, Michael, and Ashton. The word about who was touring with One Direction was getting out and it was weird.

Several moments later you were sitting on your bed with Calum next to you. “Are you sure you’re alright?” Calum asked against your temple before placing a kiss there.

"I’m fine,“ You said grabbing his knee. "Everything is going well for us. Everything is how we wanted it to be.”

"Something tells me that you’re not actually happy,“ Calum said.

"Are you two ready?” Van asked knocking on the door. You sighed and smiled before standing up and walking out with Van next to you.

"What’s wrong?“ Van asked lightly bumping you.

"When those fans saw the boys it just put everything in perspective. Everything that we worked for is going down the drain, again,” You sighed walking into the elevator.

"Why don’t you talk to Calum about it?“ Van asked. You sighed and shrugged making Van smile.

"We’re here,” Michael said holding out his arms so the doors didn’t close. Once the rest of the group was in the elevator you met your mom down stairs before going off to see the campus.

"This place is amazing,“ Amelia said getting out and looking around the entrance.

"Come on. We need to get a picture,” Cato said grabbing your hand and pulling you to the sign.

"Come on babe,“ Calum said when you started to object to taking a picture. You ended up taking one with everyone that was going to the university, the boys, Amelia, Cato, Van, and finally several pictures with Calum.

"Thank god we’re done,” You said walking down the sidewalk with Calum.

"It wasn’t so bad,“ Calum said wrapping his arm around you. "You know what we need? We need a place that’s going to be our place.”

"Calum, this campus is so big,“ You laughed. Everyone had split up on their own to find their own things.

"Then we have plenty of time to talk while we search,” Calum said pulling you closer to him. “When are you going to tell me what’s wrong?”

"That’s what you’re going to start with?“ You asked looking up at him.

"You’ve been acting the same way since we got here, which is not yourself,” Calum pointed out. “And I think it may be because I haven’t smoked in a while but you look unhappy and it’s the only thing that I can think about.”

"Calum,“ You sighed. "I’ve been so happy for you. You’re dreams are coming true and you guys really deserve this. I mean it with everything in my heart, but I can’t help think about how everyone looks at you and how everyone sees you. Nothing is going to be the same as it was and we worked so hard to be where we are today.”

"Huh,“ Calum said looking at the ground. "Did I ever tell you that when I joined the band with the boys my mum kicked me out of the house for a couple days.”

"No,“ You said shaking your head.

"Well she did and I had to stay at a mate’s place. Well after a while I came back home and things are finally starting to clear up.”

"Stop,“ You said shaking your head.

"Princess, the point that I was making was thy even though it got bad between me and my mum I came back and you can bet your ass off that I’ll come back for you,” Calum said looking at you.

"I know you are. Just everything is changing so fast,“ You said nodding. A tear escaped and started to fall down your cheek making Calum force a smile. "But it’s a good thing.”

"I love you, Princess,“ Calum said wiping the tear away. "And I like you.”

"I like you too,“ You said smiling. "And that’s why I want to show you something while we’re here.”

"And what is that?“ Calum asked smiling.

"You’ll see later,” You said smiling.

"Hey guys,“ Your mom said walking up. She had a bag full of goodies and a handful of pamphlets. "This place is great. They have suites for rooms and a great meal plan. There’s also security so when Calum corns to visit you can be secure.”

"I’m not sure it works like that mom,“ You laughed. "But it is much appreciated.”

"Well we can talk it over lunch. Come on,“ She said smiling. "I saw this perfect place to eat on my journey.”

“Where are we?” Calum asked looking around as the two of you walked down the street.

“We are going to meet someone,” You said smiling.

“We’re meeting someone?” Calum asked smiling. You looked at him and smiled before turning forward.

“I want you to meet him before you go on tour,” You said looking at the ground. “My mom thinks that he would have liked you.”

“What do you think?” Calum asked wrapping his arm around you and kissing the top of your head.

“I think, that after several background checks and talked, he would have thought you were okay,” You said smiling and then laughing.

 “That’s it?” Calum asked.

“Yep. That’s it. You’re only okay,” You said shrugging. “Don’t feel bad. My shadow of awesome is bigger than anything. It’s not just you.”

“Oh really?” Calum chuckled grabbing your side.

“Calum! Stop it!” You laughed starting to run away. Calum chased you all the way to your destination slowing down when you stopped. He looked down at your face and saw you staring at the gravestone.

“Are you alright?” Calum whispered wrapping his arm around you.

“Yeah,” You whispered nodding. You sniffled and then stood up straight smiling. “Calum Hood. This is my father.”

“It’s nice to meet you, sir,” Calum said looking at his gravestone. “I love your daughter very much and will do everything in my power to keep her safe and to keep her happy.”

You smiled as Calum talked. He talked like your father was actually in front of him and it made things easier. “I wish we had something,” You whispered.

Calum thought for a second and then jumped, digging into his front pocket. He pulled out a guitar pick and then stepped forward, placing the small object on the base of the gravestone. “I’m sorry it’s not flashy but it’s my favorite,” Calum said.

“Calum, don’t leave that here,” You said looking at him. “You need that for your tour.”

“It’s not my tour, not yet anyway, and I want to. Hopefully, it shows your dad how much I love you,” Calum said smiling at you.

“I think that we should get going. We have to meet the others for a drink,” You said as the wind started to pick up. You went to take a step but just as your foot was about to touch the ground a gust of wind knocked you into Calum’s arms.

“I’ve got you,” Calum said smiling. “You’re never going to fall when I’m around.”

“Come on,” You said thankfully. Calum pushed your hair out of the way and pressed a light kiss on your lips before the both of you walked back to the car and drove to the bar that was down the street from the campus.

“There you two are,” Michael said when he saw you and Calum. “Where were you?”

“We were seeing someone very important,” Calum said smiling at you and then at the boys.

“Well let’s drink,” Van spoke up.

“I will be having a water,” You told the bartender as you sat down.

“So, now that Calum is leaving before us what’s the plan?” Amelia asked.

“What do you mean?” You asked looking at her.

“You two always have a plan,” Amelia said. You and Calum looked at each other in confusion before turning back to the others and shaking your head.

“You’re not telling me that everything is played by year,” Van said.

“Yeah pretty much,” Calum nodded. “I think we just assumed that we would be calling each other every night, video chatting, and making visits.”

“Well that’s obvious but there’s going to need to be a schedule,” Michael said.

“Is that what you’re doing for your small entourage?” Amelia asked looking down at her nails.

“Would you quit it?” Michael asked.

“Nope,” Amelia said looking  up and smiling.

“Management is probably going to want to talk to you three when we get back,” Ashton said.

“Oh no. Please tell me that this is not going to be what people think these meetings are going to be like,” Van said shaking her head.

“And what’s that?” Calum asked smiling.

“They bring us into a room, tell us what we can and cannot do, and then they make us sign a contract to be friend with you, but if we break any of the agreements we get booted out,” Van said with sass and waving her finger around making you laugh. “Let me tell you. Andrew and I do not need that.”

 “Andrew?” Cato asked.

“Andrew is Van’s boyfriend,” You said smiling.

“I didn’t know you had a boyfriend,” Michael said looking at Van.

“We did,” Luke said looking at Michael and then at Ashton. You laughed and shook your head as you leaned down and laid your head on Calum’s shoulder. When you heard cameras going off you sat up, seeing people from across the bar taking pictures of the boys.

“And I think that’s the cue to go,” Cato said standing up.

“What? We don’t have to leave,” Luke said standing up.

“We’re going to go back to the hotel, maybe go swimming in the indoor pool,” Calum said standing up with you. “Try to spend as much time together as possible.”

“I hate that you two love each other,” Amelia said disgusted. You laughed and touched her shoulder before Calum wrapped his arm around your neck and started to walk away.

“That was weird,” You said wrapping your arm around Calum.

“It’s going to be the new normal for us,” Calum said putting his sunglasses on and looking around.

“That’s what I was afraid you were going to say,” You whispered.
