A little tip for parents with children in school (or for children in school to show their parents)
My mom gave me and my sister two days every semester that she called “mental health days.”
Those were days, that for ANY reason, and without having to tell my mom the reason, we could skip the day of school. We’d just tell her we were taking a mental health day and she’d call the school and let them know we were not coming in.
#1 This helped keep our grades up by lowering our stress levels. I never got a C in any grade school class. The majority of my classes I received A’s. I also took 4 AP classes and they were not weighted. Trust me, it made a difference.
#2 I never felt the need to skip school. I knew if I ever wanted to or needed to my mom would help me.
Your kids are young and need time to recover. They need some days where they can do nothing but stay in bed for no reason. They need their own space where their privacy is respected. It will make a huge difference.
If you’re reading this, if there’s air in your lungs on this November day, then there is still hope for you. Your story is still going. And maybe some things are true for all of us. Perhaps we all relate to pain. Perhaps we all relate to fear and loss and questions. And perhaps we all deserve to be honest, all deserve whatever help we need. Our stories are all so many things: Heavy and light. Beautiful and difficult. Hopeful and uncertain. But our stories aren’t finished yet. There is still time, for things to heal and change and grow. There is still time to be surprised. We are still going, you and I. We are stories still going.
I know you guys are probably sick of hearing this, but PLEASE WATCH EYEWITNESS. I’m going to be blunt about it, the show hasn’t been getting the ratings it deserves and if it continues like this it won’t get another season. So if you’re on the fence about watching because you want to wait till all the episodes are out or whatever, please don’t! We need all the help we can get.
Watch it, tell your friends, tell your family and just spread the word about this wonderful show. There are THREE episodes left, so we don’t have much time, but I believe we can do it.
Not many people get out unscated from season 4 […] Not that there isn’t hope, you know, at the end it’s not all bleak. But it’s like, especially as an actor, it’s like, well, this is going to take everything I’ve ever done as an actor and have never done and am not sure I know how to do, and I think everyone was put through that this time. I feel like shipping voltron characters has become completely random at this point like we have klance and shallura which make sense and I don’t understand sheith but it’s been around for a while and it’s popular but after those three you’re just spinning the wheel and seeing where it lands it feels like some kind of weird roulette and everyone is forced to play along like “okay let’s play the "who do we ship with shiro” game" and then someone pulls the lever and it spins around for a little while like “Pidge!” “Ew he’s like my dad” “shut up pidge no one cares you’re in love now”
Hello everyone. I hope you all have a great day. With everything that is going on I thought we should boost the positivity in this community so that we can avoid all the drama . So I was thinking we should do something like boss week in order to fill this tag with positivity and become again the best community out there. That’s why I need your help . We all can participate in this.We can share our stories about this community how much the members of this community helped us and generally feel free to add whatever you want and share your own ideas. I ‘m very bad at expressing myself but I just want to encourage every one of you to spread positivity and kindness. This community is everything to me and I won’t let the hate and the drama to consume it.
I’m going to have to move back to Tennessee just because it’s so cheap to live there and I’ve got to buy a plane ticket and a uhaul just to move our stuff. The plane ticket is for jay my fiancé because they can’t ride in the car for that long. Then I’m gonna have to stay at my parents house (who hate me) just so I can look for an apartment for us to live in and we’re strapped on cash. Then I have to actually get a car!!
If you can donate, literally anything would help we need all we can get :( PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Okay guys. We have one chance left. Next Sunday is the last episode of Eyewitness. The only way we can ensure a season 2 is if we boost the ratings and that means we need help from EVERYBODY. That’s right, all of you.
You have a week. If you can, please catch up to the show on a traceable device, preferably through the USA Network site or the app and watch The show on Sunday at 10/9c I promise you it’s worth it.
If for whatever reason you can’t do that, please help in the following ways.
1. Watch the show live on mute
2. Watch the show on the USA live stream on their website on mute
3. DVR the show and watch it after it airs
4. Watch it on USA website or app
5. Tweet using the hastags #Eyewitness #Philkas and #wewanteyewitnessseason2 AND tweet these at USA Network on twitter
6. Request for Eyewitness to be put onto Netflix through Netflix’s show suggestion service
7. Recruit other people to watch in inventive ways or just generally spread the word
Doing more than one of these things is even better. While I watched the episode tonight, I had the live stream running on my computer and was actively tweeting.
IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN
So please, if you like the show or not, please support us this week. We really don’t want to see a show with such potential burn out so quickly.
For those of you who don’t know Aleppo is a city is Syria that has just recently been blown up, I don’t care if this fits into your blog or not, thousands of innocent lives, children wives and husbands have been taken, most people wouldn’t care, Why? Because its a Muslim nation. Now I have a question: The whole world went into chaos when Trump won the election and no one even got hurt, CHILDREN ARE BEING BLOWN UP WHY ISNT ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS?! Because its a Muslim Nation, Shame on humanity for being so blind and not help a brother in need. People need to understand that we are all the same, Help save Aleppo, Spread this, Help those Wives who lost their Husbands, Help those children who lost their parents, help those husbands who lost their families, Help those poor people who are suffering in Aleppo.
Devastated, That is how they are currently feeling.
Keep Aleppo in your prayers, Help them, in any way you can, Shame on those people who read this and scroll down without a second thought, Shame on you. Just because they are a muslim culture doesn’t mean you shouldn’t help them, Shame on you people who scroll down this without thinking of helping. Shame on you.
I will try to support this country and All Muslims nations as much as I can, and you should too.
