we met a little girl

people are already complaining about clem’s new haircut lol

she’s getting older, you know? the whole pigtail shtick isn’t going to last forever. I’m thinking the whole “period” thing and her “blossoming into a women” stuff and her new haircut is maybe telltale trying to show that she’s not that little girl we first met in season 1 anymore. that she’s maturing, you know?

long story short, clem’s new hair is awesome and cool and beautiful. rock it clem.  ❤ ❤ ❤

Alec and Madzie

I know usually my fics are more book based, but the connection between Alec and Madzie got to me.

Iris was dead. She had called upon Clary to provide the favor she owed, and when Jace, Izzy and Alec did not like the favor, they had come in and fought the warlock. The only problem: now there were about ten warlock children without homes.

Alec and Jace walked through the room where the children had been kept while they fought. Alec looked over the children then muttered to Jace, “One’s missing.”

Jace gave him a funny look, “How do you know?”

“I met her before… the first-time Iris tried to get Clary.” Alec went around the room again, as Jace called Magnus. (They decided that Jace would call for business matters, so that no one would get there hopes up about being free for a date…) Jace began explaining to Magnus about all the children who needed good parents, and if he knew any warlocks who might take them in. Alec still roamed the room. Suddenly he stopped in front of a picture of Madzie. He looked at it for a bit, then put his hand on the wall.

Ok, so today I saw Amélie the musical in LA (cause I live out here) and it was very good. But we are here for the story.

So, I went with a friend and we are hard core theatre geeks and go to an arts school and everything. Anyway, we are heading into the theatre and I’m talking to her and she suddenly stops responding. After about 15 seconds she whispers “it’s Darren fucking Criss”. Of course I immediately look around and she points him out. We both freaked out because we love him and OMG STARKID AND HEDWIG AND GLEE. So he was in line for tacos and we didn’t want to bother him when he was about to eat but we couldn’t miss this chance. We went up to him and said we were fans and we’re seeing the show (he was too) and how we were so excited to see Phillipa Soo and Adam Chanler-Baret. He then called us “hardcore theatre kids” and we died cause we just got called that BY SOMEONE IN THE INDUSTRY. Ok. Then we mentioned our school and it seemed like he recognized it. We then split off (unfortunately no pictures with him but we saw him later and I took a pic of him from the back lol ^).

We then saw the show and afterwards went to the stage door to meet everyone. We met the girl who was little Amélie and she seemed kinda familiar and I found out about an hour ago that she is LILLA CRAWFORD’S sister (Annie in Annie and Little Red in the movie version of Into the Woods). We met the rest of the cast including ADAM CHANLER-BARET (Henry in Next to Normal) and PHILLIPA (Eliza from Hamilton) and got pictures with Adam but not really Phillipa cause she was in a rush but this was probably one of the best days of my life. (Pictures up top)

I’ve burned forests
forgetting things
letting the embers
sizzle in the
spring rains

I’m going broke
building, destroying
apartment buildings

they don’t boom
like they used to

that was a poem I wrote
about you, or at least
you were the foundation
of every building

the taste of gasoline
swishing in my mouth
doesn’t burn
like water does

you may have been
a young woman
when we met, but
my little boy found
your little girl and sent
a letter to the other side
of the classroom

and I’ll never forget the way
you looked when you ate
those words with your
heart and asked for seconds

I wish I would’ve thought
to cook a larger protion

we were young then and
we didn’t quite know what we
needed but we knew what we
long enough, it becomes a need
when you get it all the time

we had feelings
we couldn’t express because we
hadn’t felt enough pain in our lives
yet and that’s why our Souls intertwined

disentigrated in the ways
they did

you were a beautiful forest
before I met you
you were still a little girl
I was still a little boy.
you were a flower
budding and uncrushed

You know my reputation

for pretty things.

Meeting your daughter for the first time reaction? :)

What a day that was :) Before I answer that, Let me paint the back story a bit for you.

As I mentioned earlier, Jennifer and I had struggled with starting our family for five years. While parts of that were fun :) most of it was not. We went through dr exams, treatments etc etc.

At the five year mark, our Dr had a kind meeting with us and said he would be happy to keep trying, but what was more important to us, being a biological parent or being a parent?

That got us thinking and we decided to pursue adoption. The adoption process is crazy. There are tons of paperwork, background checks, financial reviews, classes you need to take home inspections etc etc.  (I wonder what our word would be like if all parents had to go through this scrutiny before becoming a parent.)

Well, 90 days later we were approved and started the waiting process. We waited and waited and waited. It seemed like forever. Then one afternoon, I got a call from our case worker. It was 3:35 in the afternoon (Yes I remember exactly.) She told me a little girl was born the previous afternoon in Lawrence (a college town about an hour from here) and we had been matched with her.) She wanted to know if we wanted to come pick her up? :)

Needless to say I was in shock. I called Jennifer and told her to sit down. She was at work and was busy and in no mood for games. I told her what I knew and she started crying. We have different memories about who said what but I think we both were in shock that our daughter was here and waiting for us. ;)

It was too late to get it done that day, so we spent the next few hrs calling friends and making last minute preparations. The next morning at 8:00 am we drove to the hospital and met our case worker. We had all kinds of paperwork to fill out before we could even go to the nursery.

Then we went and met our little girl. Her name card said “Baby Girl Lamb” as she had not been named yet. It was so surreal to go from a state of waiting anxiously to having a beautiful baby girl in less than 12 hours!

It felt so awesome but weird taking her out of the hospital knowing she was ours. :) When we got home, our living room had exploded with gifts from our friends at church. A bath, swing, diapers, formula, clothes etc.

Here are a few quick pictures from that day. One of the best in my life. :)

Thanks for asking :)

Can we take a moment to appreciate Polly Plummer? Have you ever met a little girl who has as much common sense as she does? With the exception of taking taking a ring from Uncle Andrew (which she needed to do in order to get the plot going), Polly never seems to act without thinking. Polly is the one who thinks to mark the home pool in the wood between the worlds, preventing Digory and herself from becoming trapped. Polly doesn’t give into the magic of the bell in the Hall of Images, and tries to stop Digory from hitting it. It’s Polly who remembers the toffee in her pocket. Yet Polly is also brave and kind. She’s always willing to try another adventure, as long as Digory’s game too and she goes with Digory to get the apple, even though she certainly didn’t have to, and is perfectly willing to forgive Digory for the Hall of Images. In short, I want to be friends with Polly Plummer.

Hi! Im a lesbian daddy. Me and my little have been together for almost half a year and the entire thing has been long distance bc we met on tumblr. My little girl is wonderful and she loves me a lot. But lately i havent been feeling like a very good daddy. Im bad at coming up with nonphysical punishments when she doesnt follow my rules, i was wondering if maybe you could give me some advice?

The severity has to match the action of how important the rule is. Before you punish, listen to the reasoning. a lot of times a farming talking gets the point across. be sure you have a valid and justifiable reason for your actions. but as far as ideas.. watch the comments. xo

Report from freestyle bumble attempt

Okay world let’s call this man from bumble Market. Very cool, has lived in Park Slope for a while. We met and got drinks, ya girl got a little tipsy. We went to his place and fooled around (no sex) and then I went home. It’s weird because I’m getting used to being like ahem 💰💰💰 but if the goal is spoiled GF the game is a little different IMO.
We had great conversation and solid chemistry nothing that knocked my socks off but we will see. I have a few more dates lined up. I specifically have a man who is into spoiling and buying things for the women he dates so we shall see how that goes. I guess for me rn this attempt at a more “normal dating” style with older men feels less taxing. I may change my mind!

This is a post dedicated to my friend, Selene, one of the most talented and sweet girl I know. We met tanks to her little Ozzy blog and now I love her soooooo much. Before the Ultimates convention, she gave me an unseen work of art in order to give it to Robin, who likes her art very much. So, during the autograph session, me and my friend Laura, decided to give one of the draw to Robin and make the other one signed by him for Selene. He recognise immediately her work and asked if we were friend. Than started to talk about how brilliant and talented she is…
So, my dear, this is our gift for you… because you’re brilliant, and if Robin says so who am I to disagree?
Ti voglio bene

Massage (Vampire!Namjoon)

Plot: #4: “Do you…well…I mean…I could give you a massage?” + #075: “Can you help me up, your child is pretty heavy.” with vampire!Namjoon

Word Count: 745

A/N: happy Namjoon day!!! for the original vampire post, you can click right here and since this is gonna be combining vampire!Joon with father!Joon (all of the father related posts are here) as always it isn’t required at all for you to read any of them but they’re just there in case you wanna know more about what Namjoon is like as a vampire or as a father (also this one does have pregnancy involved so it isn’t as gender neutral as my other posts but I did try to keep it open to interpretation as well so you can read this in any way you want)

Namjoon had adapted to fatherhood quickly, easily learning how to soothe his daughter, how to keep her entertained, how to hold her in just the right way so his arm didn’t even end up falling asleep. In his defense, he had been ready to be a father for a few decades. He’d spent hundreds of years traveling and seeing the world, he was now ready to have someone to show all of that too. He was already ready to show her the world, take her to his favorite places but he knew he wanted to wait until she was a bit older to start doing that. They did have an eternity to explore together and now that you had your second child on the way, both of them were excited to have another partner joining their adventures.

For the next week, Liam sulked around campus. He didn’t talk to his roommate, he missed the weekly Skype call from the pack, and he was unusually late for his classes. He especially made it a point to avoid Emily.

There were so many things going through his mind. How could she do this? She had to know that he didn’t mean what he did back in high school. They were just kids. She had to know that he still loved her.

He hasn’t told Scott about what happened with Emily. He told him about how he first ran into her. He was so excited because he thought that they could get their relationship back on track. They were each other’s first love, after all.

For the next week, Emily sulked around campus and thought about what she should do. She didn’t hang around with Theo as much anymore. He was still her boyfriend, but she was too upset to even be happy spending time with him.

She had so many things running through her mind. Why was Liam so upset that she moved on? She had expected him to do the same. Of course, he was her first love but first love doesn’t mean you’re going to stay with them forever. Did he still love her as much as he did back when they were fifteen? Did she? If she didn’t love him, she probably wouldn’t be this upset.

But she cares. She always cares. That was her biggest problem.

Liam laid across his bed, his arms crossed behind his head. He had skipped class for the day. Out of all the days he had been busy feeling sorry for himself, this was the worst. His roommate, Jake, noticed this.

Jake hopped up from his desk chair. “Alright, that’s enough.” He grabbed Liam’s arm and pulled him into an upright position. “We’re getting you out of here.”

Liam shook his head. “I don’t want to do anything.”

“Absolutely not. You’ve been hiding out in here for almost two weeks now. It’s time you made things right.”

“I can’t make things right. She’s in love with someone else.” Liam sighed.

Jake rolled his eyes, shaking his head. “She might love him but she’s not in love with him. There’s a big difference.”

Liam stayed silent so Jake continued talking. “Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you belong together. Whether that be friends, a relationship or whatever. The two of you just work together. It definitely wasn’t a coincidence that you and Emily met again. The world is trying to tell you that you need to get her back. And you’re not going to get her back by sitting alone in your room. You need to fight for her.”

“Running away is so much easier,” Liam mumbled.

“But running away from your problems is a race you’ll never win.” Jake opened the door and left the room, leaving Liam by himself.

“I don’t know what you’re doing,” Emily’s roommate and best friend, Courtney, said.

The two were sitting in Starbucks, the same one that Liam had stormed out of when Emily told him she was with Theo.

Emily shrugged. “I don’t know either. I feel bad of course, but he has to realize that I’ve moved on. I’ve grown up. I’m not that same scared little girl I was when we met. I’ve changed. So has he.”

The fiery redhead raised an eyebrow. “Yeah but have your feelings changed? Because I don’t think his have.”

Emily sighed. Of course Liam would be upset about Theo. It was Theo Raeken. The same guy Liam and Stiles had it in for in high school. The one everyone thought was evil. Emily had thought so too. Until he swooped back into her life last summer and everything changed.

Courtney shrugged. “You do whatever you want but I think you’re making a very big mistake.”

Liam sat on his bed, talking to Stiles on the phone. Stiles was trying to give him advice on the whole Emily and Theo thing. Normally, Liam would’ve talked to his alpha but he decided he would give a call to his hyperactive spaz of a friend.

“Liam, you need to stop sitting and doing nothing. It’s disgusting. You need to go and fight for her,” Stiles practically yelled through the phone.

“She probably hates me Stiles. She doesn’t want to talk to me.”

“I never connected with Emily very well but I know that that girl could never hate you. She was so in love with you she couldn’t even see straight.”

Liam placed his head against the wall. “I don’t think she loves me anymore.”

“You said that she seemed genuinely hurt that you were upset about Theo right? And that her heartbeat sped up when she saw you?” Stiles asked.

“Yeah.” Liam had no idea where he was going with this.

“Well, that kind of sounds like love to me. And let me tell you, if a girl is stupid enough to love you after you broke her heart, I guarantee you, she is the one.”

A knock on the door cut the conversation off.

“Hold on a sec, someone’s at the door.” Liam jumped off the bed and opened the door.

Standing in the doorway was Emily. “Uh, Stiles, I’m going to have to call you back.” He hung up the phone and looked at her expectantly.

She bit her lip nervously. “Can we talk?”

Liam was at a loss for words. He didn’t know what to say so he just nodded. He held the door open for her as she walked past him into the room. She stood awkwardly in the middle of the room. They stood in silence, just staring at each other. Neither one not knowing what to say.

“So, um, I’m sorry. About everything. I know I just kind of sprung the Theo thing on you. I didn’t mean to,” she apologized.

Liam nodded. “I know. I’m sorry for overreacting. I just was not expecting that.”

Emily twirled a piece of hair around her finger. “Are you mad at me?”

He shook his head. “I could never be mad at you. I was just shocked.”

She visibly became tense. “I have something else to tell you too.”

He looked at her, waiting for her to continue.

She took a deep breath and looked everywhere but at him. “Theo asked me to marry him and I said yes.”

The blood drained from Liam’s face. So many thoughts were going through his mind. Theo? Why would she marry Theo? Why would anyone marry Theo? Why would anyone willingly spend the rest of their life with Theo?

“You’re getting married to Theo.” It wasn’t a question.

She nodded. Her green eyes began to fill with tears that threatened to spill over.

He looked at the floor. Now he would never get her back. “That’s great. I’m happy for you.”

She looked at him confused. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” He looked at the clock. “Look, I have to go. I have to go get cat food.”

She narrowed her eyes. “You don’t have a cat. You’re allergic.”

“It’s for me. I picked up this new fetish of…eating cat food,” he trailed off.

“Are you okay?” She asked again more stern this time.

He nodded. “Yeah, I’m good. I’m fine.”

“You’re only saying that because saying you’re okay is a lot easier than explaining all the reasons why you’re not.”

He squeezed his eyes shut. “I’m happy for you okay?”

She sent him a sympathetic smile. “No you’re not.”

He threw his hands up. “Fine. I’m not. You happy now? I don’t want you to get married to Theo. I think you’re making a mistake.”

“My biggest mistake was loving you,” she shot back. She walked past him to the door.

He caught it before she could close it behind her. “Emily, there’s a difference between somebody who wants you and somebody who would do anything to keep you. Remember that.”

She gave him a long look and closed the door behind her.

Liam sat at Stiles’ kitchen table in his apartment. Liam had decided to spend the weekend back in California and Scott came up to see Stiles so they figured this would be the perfect time to get together.

“I don’t know what else to do,” Liam whined. “I love her so much but she obviously doesn’t want anything to do with me.”

“The hardest thing is watching someone you love, love someone else. Trust me buddy, I know.” Stiles ran a hand through his hair. “And I still don’t have her.” Of course he was talking about Lydia.

“I’m sure Emily still does love you,” Scott reassured Liam. “She just doesn’t feel like she has anywhere else to go. She needed a rebound and Theo was more than happy to oblige her. She doesn’t really love Theo, I’m sure. You just have to figure things out. You have to fight for her. That’s what she wants Liam. She wants you to fight for her.”

Liam nodded. “Well, then that’s what I’m going to do.”

Liam knew that she lived in an off-campus apartment with one of her friends so he looked up the address. Now here he was, standing outside her front door and praying she was home.He rang the doorbell and stood back, waiting patiently.

After a couple minutes, the door opened and there she stood. She was wearing sweatpants and her hair was in a messy bun, but he thought she still looked perfect. She was wearing a Beacon Hills lacrosse jersey. It was his lacrosse jersey. He gave it to her so she would stop stealing it. He never thought that she actually kept it, let alone still wore it.

“Uh, hi,” he said awkwardly. “Can I come in?”

She nodded. “Of course.” She led him into the kitchen and stopped by the counter. Courtney wasn’t home so they were free to talk.

“I don’t think you should marry Theo,” Liam said, locking his eyes with hers.

“I figured. But it’s my decision, not yours.”

“I miss you,” he blurted out.

She opened her mouth to say something but he cut her off.

“And when I say that, I really do mean it. I’m not the type to only say those three words when I need something from you. You mean a lot to me. Not only does it mean you have positively impacted my life, but it also means that I want you to stay. I know people come and go, and that’s life, but I want you to stay in my life Emily. I love you.”

By now, Emily was in tears. She furiously wiped them away. “You broke my heart okay? You kissed Lydia. I haven’t seen or spoken to her since that night. You broke my heart without even thinking about it!”

“I said I was sorry,” Liam said miserably.

“You think that saying sorry is going to make it okay? That things are going to be perfectly normal because you said sorry?” She rolled her eyes. “Unbelievable.”

“I don’t know what else to do,” he said. “I don’t know what you want me to do.”

Emily opened up a cupboard and pulled out a small round plate. She passed it over to him.

He looked at her confused. “What are you doing?”

“Throw it on the ground,” she instructed.

“Throw it on the ground.”

He slowly let the plate drop from his fingers. It clattered to the floor and broke in pieces.

“Did it break?” She asked.

“Uh, yeah.” He gave her a look like she was insane.

“Say sorry to it.” She nodded her head towards the broken pieces.

He chuckled. “Why am I doing this?”

“Do it.”

He looked down at the plate. “I’m sorry.”

“Did it go back to the way it was before?”

She crossed her arms over her chest. “Do you understand?”

Realization came over him as he looked up at her. “Yeah, I do. I do understand.” He shook his head. “I don’t know what to say.”

“You don’t have to say anything.” She ran her hand through her hair. “I know.”

“Emily, I love you.”

She stared at him before speaking. “I think you should leave.”

He nodded. If that was what she wanted, he would do it. “Yeah. I’ll see you around.”

He walked down the hallway and left the apartment, closing the door behind him.

Six Months Later

Emily stood in front of the full length mirror in the back of the church. She ran her hands along the soft fabric of her white dress, running her fingers over the lace eyelets.

The door opened and in walked her mother, holding a veil. “My beautiful girl.” There were tears in her eyes as she placed the veil over her head. “On her wedding day.”

Emily gave her a small smile. This was it. She was getting married to Theo. The day had finally come. She held her mother’s hand as she wiped tears with the other. She could hear the music playing from the sanctuary and the guests talking and milling around.

Her mom checked the wall clock. “Oh, it’s time. I have to go alert the bridesmaids. Get ready. I’ll be back to get you.”

Emily watched as her mom rushed out of the room. She took a deep breath and thought about how she would walk down the aisle. She had dreamed about this moment millions of times before. The only difference was that in her dream the groom standing at the end of the aisle was Liam. Liam.

She hadn’t seen him in months, ever since he came to her apartment. He told her he loved her and she let him go. But the truth was, she loved him and she probably always would. She peeked around the corner towards the sanctuary of the church. She didn’t have much time. She couldn’t do this. She couldn’t get married to Theo. She didn’t love him, not like she loved Liam.

She looked around the room frantically. She was running out of time. She grabbed a pen and piece of paper and scribbled out an apology note. She didn’t care if these people hated her forever. All she cared about was Liam.

She left the note visible on the table and slipped out the room, running out of the back door. She raced down the street, holding onto her dress. She flagged down a cab and directed the driver to Liam’s apartment. She had heard from Stiles, who she still talked to on a regular basis, that Liam had moved out of his dorm and into his own apartment. The cab stopped in front of the building and Emily tossed a couple of bills his way. She stepped out of the taxi and bounded up to the front steps. She frantically rang the doorbell and knocked on the door.

The door opened and there he was. The love of her life. His jaw dropped when he saw her. He took in her appearance as he remembered today was her wedding day.

“What are you doing here? You should be getting married,” he said.

She shook her head. “I couldn’t marry him.”

“Why not?”

“Because he wasn’t you.” She leaned in and kissed him. He pulled her into his apartment and closed the door, leaning her against it.

She pulled away. “I love you. I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

He grinned. “I love you too. I always have and I always will.”

And there we have it! That is officially the end of Barriers. It has been a long and fun process and I am so proud that you guys enjoyed it so much! When i first posted it, I had no idea that it would get this big. Thank you for sticking by me through this time and thanks for reading!

Draco do you remember when we met?

“HEY!” He snarled at the little girl who was laughing behind Daphne’s school robe “What are you looking at first year?”

"Oh nothing" She replied earnestly still wearing that stupid childish smile “I wanted to see for myself who was that Third year stupid enough to get attacked by a Hypogriff” she mocked all too easily as tough talking to a retard “Cunning doesn’t run very deeply in your family does it?"

"Astoria!” Daphne scolded taking her little sister by the hand “Apologize to Draco now!! Can’t you see he’s a Malfoy"

"Listen to your sister little girl, I don’t care if you are a Greengrass or not” Draco fumed angrily “nobody gets to call me stupid witout regretting it later"

"That’s what the Hypogriff said” Astoria mumbled under her breath making a couple of first years Slytherins around them snicker, then spotting a friend nearby she saw her exit and dashed away without apologizing “I need to go, bye” she chirped rudely before losing herself in a upcoming crowd of students

It was no wonder that he hadn’t met the sly little girl before, he could already see why Daphne had taken pains to avoid introducing them to her younger sister. She thought highly of herself that Astoria girl, too highly for a first year, she needed to be brought down a peg for insulting him

Yes Astoria, it’s always been a particularly good memory of mine

I know some angels get their wings clipped too soon and falling seems like fun until we hit the pavement, I know some trees fall in love with the wind, the breeze, it’s home. I know it won’t always be happy and all smiles, but you’ll be remembered among the carving of those trees and the little shyness of airy first times; falling off your bike, a band-aid from mother, and the many times we could have given those wings back to you, and we may not know each other or have met, but little girl, I know god has a place for you too. Somewhere among the clouds, the gates are painted gold and the stars are made from candy, if you get the chance, steal all of the stars. I know some angels fall too soon, quickly returning to the sun and the moon, I’m sorry about the wisdom tooth pain you’ll never get to feel, it’s okay my dentist said mine will stay. If this life could offer apples and worms, then life must come hand in hand with its sister. Death, it loves all of its guest. Kept forever in a snow-globe & a musical box with your favorite bed time lullaby. I know life isn’t what it seems and sometimes, we must accept those things. If we could live forever, us human beings, it’d be a doomed fate anyway. You may never read this from up high or understand the alphabet all the way, but if god has a smile, I pray he has a heart. You’ll get your halo, you’ll get your wings. You’ll get your books, you’ll get your smile. If you should make it to the gates of gold, I’ll promise that it’s a place you can always call home.
—  For the tiny souls that god has plans for.
