Friendly reminder that religious gay people exist!! You do not have to choose one or the other! You’re not a bad gay for being religious and you’re not a bad follower for being gay! You can be both! They’re both important parts of your identity and there’s nothing wrong with being both!

Hey guys.

As we all know far too well, Election Day is tomorrow. It’s going to be a stressful day for many, since who becomes president tomorrow will determine if their rights and lives will be respected or not. A lot of people will face intimidation, discrimination, and aggression at the polls and as the results are tallied. We all are hoping or praying for the best, but the outcome right now is still uncertain and the coming weeks will undoubtedly be faced with a lot of hate and anger over differing opinions and sentiments about who wins.

With this in mind, I’d like to ask people to not give up. It will be hard, I know, but please, no matter what happens, do not give up. Don’t stop fighting for what you believe is right. Don’t start believing that it’s the end and that things can’t improve. And please don’t think that the outcome of the election means that there’s nothing good with the world and its people. There is, I promise.

But please, please don’t give up, if not for yourselves, then for the people you care about. Everybody will be affected by the results of the election, including people you love. Please keep your hopes up and don’t quit trying. Even if everything seems awful and horrible, please keep going through it until you come out on the other side.

It scares me to think of what will happen to this country tomorrow. But it scares me even more to think of all the people who could be negatively affected by the election give up on everything. It may seem like the end of the world, but it’s not. Don’t let yourselves think that way, please. Stay strong, friends. We’re in this together and we will get through this.

reality has hit.

ok but going from watching Yuri on Ice to looking at us freaking out about Dean holding Cas’ elbow honestly feels like leaving the Hogwarts Halloween feast and heading to Nearly Headless Nick’s Deathday Party.

Honestly? Jin and Jimin are /adults/. They’re not catty teenage girls going behind each others backs and insulting each other, this was a part of a /game/, where the point is to roast someone basically.

Obviously, no one is trying to say that the statement that Jin made was okay or not uncalled for in any way (it personally made me cringe, and yeah, I’d rather it not have been said). But to criticize those kinds of statements means you should criticize them when they’re being used against anyone, including the /countless/ times they were used against other members i.e. Jin.

Going back to the adult thing, Jin and Jimin work and live together, and have for almost 5+ years. All of the boys are very close, and if there is an issue, I am sure at this point they are mature enough to address it with one another and talk it out.

I am tired of seeing posts say something to the effect of “if aphobia isn’t enough to motivate you, remember that REGs also target [insert more “sympathetic” group here].”

Aphobia is enough. Aphobia matters. Aphobia is heinous enough, cruel enough, horrible enough to stand on its own and to be worth fighting on its OWN merits.

Yes, gatekeepers throw lots of different groups under the bus. Yes, all of those groups deserve attention and deserve to have their issues recognized and fought for. And yes, it is valuable to observe and point out the ways that the foundational tactics of exclusionists repeat themselves in every iteration of the theme.

But y’all need to stop tacking aces and aros on as an afterthought on your posts about it and undermining the support you give us by backpedaling in the very same breath as you defend us, by giving people an excuse to dismiss us from our own activism.

It makes me feel like my pain, my suffering, my oppression is not good enough to count, as though the only reason my issues are being given any attention at all, after years of incredibly difficult fighting to bring my community into the light, is because other, better victims are being hurt by similar forces and tactics. It feels like a tacit validation of the sector of the community that insists that my issues are not real or do not matter.

And that sucks.

We matter. We are enough. We are worth fighting for.

I’ve been asked several times about my thoughts on these spoilers. I’ll sum it up like this: Abby never truly saw Clexa interact for more than a handful of minutes at a time, but Clarke confesses her love and Abby replies with “I know”??? I don’t buy it. This is Ratings Baiting 101.

Be careful about the things you guys get your hopes up for. With the track record it has, the best approach to this show is to prepare for the worst and if it doesn’t happen then be pleasantly surprised.

somebody: i think you should let it go, sherlock is just a tv show it’s not that big of a deal
me [pulls out powerpoint]: sir arthur conan doyle brought sherlock holmes back after a break of 8 years because his fans back then were so furious after he killed him off. people walked around with black armbands to mourn his death and a woman attacked doyle with an umbrella for “the sin of killing off his greatest character” i’M ALLOWED TO FEEL LIKE THIS IT’S BEEN LIKE THIS EVER SINCE THE VICTORIAN AGE I HOPE THE NEWS KEEP TALKING ABOUT US FOR THE NEXT 5 WEEKS I WILL WAIT 8 YEARS IF I HAVE TO IF THIS MESS WILL BE FIXED THEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
