we came. we raved. we loved

anonymous asked:

Last minute thoughts on what 33/the end of the arc will be like??

Hmm. Ok. Let’s recap, which storylines are left?

The Great Darkness: We haven’t heard anything about it since Part I. Baal, Mini and Amaterasy went from hunting it down, to hunting down Sakhmet. It just dissapeared, which seems quite convenient.

We do know that May 1st is some sort of Great Darkness day, but that’s two months away.

Will we see them in this issue? The cover does give that impression, but I think it’s unlikely. We may get something GD related towards the end though, as a sort of cliffhanger/reminder.

Baphomet/Morrigan: I’m not really sure where this is going. Those two are really removed from the main storyline, particularly now that Dio is gone and Persephone isn’t talking to Baphomet. We still need to see them react to Dio’s death, but I don’t know if we’ll see that in this issue.

Woden’s plans: This is likely the main plot of this issue. We don’t really know what Woden was planning with that rave, but we do know he’s up to something. Sure, he wanted control of Dio’s hivemind, and of the Norns, but why? I doubt it was just about his crush on Cass and “unlimited power”.

Let’s also not forget that this whole “Big performance” thing wasn’t Cass’ idea. It came from Dio and Woden, and while I love Dio, he’s not exactly the brightest guy, so I can see Woden manipulating him into thinking it was a good idea. He’s likely been planning this for a while.

There’s also something that doesn’t quite fit. When Dio first proposes that idea, it’s about impressing the other gods, but by part II it’s about powering up the machine, and they don’t even care that the other gods aren’t there.

Although, now that I think about it, maybe that’s a plot hole? Although I guess it’s possible for Woden not to care, Cass to forget about it since she wants to figure out that machine, and Dio to be too spaced out to remember.

Anyway, he’s trying to achieve something. But what? What is “the real work”?

Given the nature of the Norn’s power, I’m guessing he’s trying to figure something out. Gain some knowledge. Is it the machine? Or is it something else? Some kind of higher power? Stop the death sentence?

Which reminds me that there’s also that machine that is mentioned in his interview back in issue 23, which seems to be related to Persephone’s powers.

And he’s been gathering data during the gods performances. Both during Persephone’s gig, and their own practice raves.

So now what? He couldn’t control Cass so his plan didn’t work, and he escaped.

I don’t think he is what Cass and Laura see in that secret room, but I think he’ll show up to explain what they find there.

Perhaps it’s Pink Woden? It’s been like 20 issues since that reveal, a secret room in Valhalla does seem like the right place for them.

Whatever Woden is planning, Persephone seems to be the key. Perhaps it’s her ability to go beyond what the other gods are capable of? Maybe he plans to use that to survive, to get pass the 2 year rule.

Bonus: Where is David Blake btw? He was supposed to be helping Cass, yet he is nowhere to be seen in Part II.

So we had our first preview performance for the Diary of Anne Frank tonight (which went really well!). We all went out for drinks after the show to celebrate, and a bunch of elderly people came up to us at the bar and raved about how wonderful we were and how much they loved the show. It wasn’t until about 10 minutes into the conversation that we realized they thought we were the cast of the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

20 Reasons Why Swedish House Mafia Need To Get Back Together

1. They’ve been friends for ages, and that connection shows in their music

Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso met when they were 7 in Stockholm, and Axwell joined them later after a chance meeting

2. There isn’t a weak link among them

From left:
Sebastian Ingrosso produced ”Calling (Lose My Mind)” with Alesso

Axwell remixed ”In My Mind”  by Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl ft. Georgi Kay
Steve Angello remixed ”The Island” by Pendulum with AN21 and Max Vangeli

3. They were born to make music

Baby Steve knew his musical destiny at the tender age of 1

4. They made the coolest music videos

Who else could transport you to a future, utopian racketrack?

5. You couldn’t contain your excitement when you saw those infamous three circles

6. They’re really goofy and endearing

Particularly Axwell

7. They knew how to make a grand entrance

8. Steve Angello is a modern day philosopher

9. Every one of their shows included a unique shout-out

At every stop on their tour they showed their local fans just how much they loved them

10. And their cross-genre collaborations were sweet too

11. They couldn’t care less about celebrity status

12. Their stage set-ups were unbelievable

13. They had so much fun working together

14. They loved their fans

15. Axwell always looks ridiculous when he DJs

16. He was totally in on the joke, too

“Brooklyn I’m all dressed up and ready for you!” - Axwell

17. They instilled confidence in you

18. They had the coolest friends

David Guetta and Chuckie? Life’s not fair..

19. They made you feel safe

20. They loved each other, and we loved them too

Turn the lights up, Ian. I want to see some awesome looking people.
The man with the black t-shirt, you’re the most positive person in here tonight, thank you. And you, in the silver bra next to him, you’re the best dancer in here tonight, thank you.
And for all of you other unbelievably, amazing-looking people in here tonight, we just want to really make you understand how fucking important this is to us, what we’re doing here tonight. What a way to go, huh?
You know, all of you here really created Swedish House Mafia. It was YOU that made this happen, and it’s only right that it’s YOU that finish it tonight.
So thank you so much.
We came, we raved and we loved you California.
