A note for all of us who feel defeated after Sessions from the Indivisible Team: This is the long game.

A note for all of us who feel defeated after Sessions from the Indivisible Team: This is the long game. We are going to lose a lot. We are going to get good at losing. We are going to lose cabinet votes for terrible nominees. We are going to lose bills that are offensive and appalling. But while we are losing, something else is going to happen. We are going to keep raising our voices and slowly our representatives are going to start listening to us. We’ve seen it happen.

It won’t happen because of next week’s call to action. It’ll happen over months, where you keep showing up, regularly. Then, we are going to start winning. It’ll sneak up on us. We won’t understand why we are winning. But it starts with losing in a particular way- where we raise our voices and call it out when we aren’t listened to, where we get close but not quite there.

The first 100 days of a President’s term are the honeymoon period, the moment when he’s most likely to get his agenda enacted. Trump is spending his first 100 days mired in controversy, scandal, and backbiting - and that’s because you haven’t for a moment let anyone in Washington forget just how unpopular he is.

Every time we change the narrative, every time we delay, every time there’s a newspaper story about a member of Congress avoiding his or her constituents, that’s a win. And it matters.

You have already made history. You’ve delayed the confirmation of Trump’s cabinet picks longer than any time in recent history. You stopped the gutting on the congressional ethics office. You’ve made Republicans so nervous about the repeal of the Affordable Care Act that it’s been pushed further and further down the road. You caused an uproar of historic proportions over Trump’s Muslim ban and saved lives and reunited families in the process. You’ve inspired people who have never before taken action to make their voices heard and learn how to do things like check how their members of Congress voted and call them out for it.

We’ll never even know about some of the victories - because those will be the fights that this Administration considered starting and then realized it couldn’t win.

We’re in this together. Every visit. Every call. Every loss. Every win. That’s just what friends do. #StandIndivisible

In solidarity,

The Indivisible Team

hockey edit meme?? - 10 players (3/10)

Andre Burakovsky, Washington Capitals
“Trotsy tried to get Burakovsky to be Burt. We all call him Burracuda. Everybody calls him Burracuda. Nobody calls him Burt. I haven’t heard one player call him Burt.” - Eric Fehr
(Meanwhile, Burakovsky says that nobody on the team calls him Burracuda).

Why the frick is every. single. march. on SATURDAY?

Like y’all know that Sabbath-observant Jews (*coughs* LIKE ME) are completely excluded, right??

Unless we live within walking distance (*coughs* WHICH I DO NOT) then we can’t travel to them on Sabbath.

IT’S PISSING ME OFF.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF A SINGLE MARCH WOULD BE INCLUSIVE FOR SABBATH-OBSERVANT JEWS SO WE CAN SHOW PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR CAUSES WE CARE ABOUT TOO.

sasuke says thanks
  • Sasuke: So first of all thanks to a special person who always supported me

Starjack in the early days: a summary

also i think im funny and my captions r great (not really lmao)

Tulio: *sigh* I have to fire somebody but who ?? Bodoque is my best friend…Juanin does all the work…Policarpo lets me use his pool…Patana is my niece…the most useless out of all is me, but I can’t fire myself! I’d never forgive myself. I’d never talk to myself ever again.

I went to a party once and everyone was supposed to pitch in some money to buy adderall. I had never tried or even heard of it but I was young and stupid so I gave them 20 bucks. Later on, after we all took it, everybody was going crazy and having a good time and I was just sitting on the couch quietly so I googled ‘adderall’ on my phone and learned that it’s used to treat ADHD.
I have ADHD.
I paid 20 dollars to calm down.

You know that thing couples superiors do when they gather together and make a very big announcement having a joint conference with each other’s family squad members?

Squad Hange: Really now, buntaichou? It was Levi-heichou all along?
Squad Levi/ 104th: I don’t know about you guys, but you know, they were pretty obvious. Like, come on! Mom? Dad?

I’m having a hard time trying to understand why in hell Eva or any of the girls would be mad at Sana. We know what she did was bad but honestly? It didn’t come from a place where Sana just wanted to hate on Sara. She was exposing her because Sara is the one who’s spreading so much hate.

If I was one of the girls and Sana came and explained me exactly what happened, I’d just throw a pyjama party for us in order to forget about the people who try to hurt us.

The vitality of Sansa’s role in the Stark’s repossession of Winterfell and why she WON’T betray Jon

How viewers are still questioning her character despite proving herself smarter than Jon for an entire season

Disclaimer before everyone sends me hate without reading the entire post: Jon Snow is one of my favorite characters, this is just meant as a little tough love in my part.

OKAY. Listen up. I’m so goddamn tired of reading and listening to people talk about the possibility of Sansa betraying Jon because people continue to compare her to her younger self when she knew NOTHING about real life and the throne and desired to be the queen, like she wasn’t allowed to be a normal young, naive teenage girl. And I’m tired of people saying she had little to do with the Starks taking back the north. I’m TIRED.

I know there’s a gazillion posts talking about this but it’s so goddamn simple, guys. Viewers and readers of the series neglect to see it because Jon is a fan favorite. The truth is Jon. Fucked. Up. Majorly. Okay? Point blank. Period. The end. It’s time to face the music. When we say the Starks won thanks to Sansa, it’s literal.

So what did Sansa actually do?

“Sometimes God allows terrible things to happen in your life and you don’t know why but that doesn’t mean you should stop trusting him”
—Christina Grimmie

Today one year ago we lost an incredibly talented singer. A role model. And above all an angel.
Today one year ago we lost Christina Grimmie.
I’m still heartbroken.

I wish for her family to find peace and to know that there is so much love for them all, despite the time that has passed since our initial heartbreak.

Let’s celebrate Christina by listening to her new posthumous Album “All is vanity”.

Christina i love you and miss you.
You will never be invisible.

Some advice on giving advice:

- Don’t advise people on species you don’t keep. Basic infoposts, yes, but try to point folks in the directions of care sheets or other keepers rather than advising them yourself.

- Having said that, care sheets aren’t always right, particularly when it comes to wild species and specific localities. It’s often more helpful to research the environment your pet comes from than to rely on others, as wild caught and low F-number animals may have wildly different care needs to their domestic relatives.

- Don’t be an asshole. Attacking people is going to get you nothing but blocked. People usually want to do what’s best for their pets, but misinformation is everywhere. Be patient, be understanding, encourage rather than accuse.

- Don’t write care sheets on species you’ve had for less than a year. You haven’t even had them for a full cycle of seasons, slow down and take your time to learn through experience and make all the beginner mistakes first.

- Learn the whole story before advising. Sometimes, social animals have to be kept alone because of aggression issues. A lot of people here have rescue animals who’re always going to look stunted or ill because of a previous owner’s care mistakes. There’s no point yelling at the person trying to fix the issue.

- Mistakes are not the end of the world. Even people who’ve kept a species for 25 years can goof, human error is a thing. For novices, tumblr’s dogpiling habits can make the idea of making mistakes absolutely terrifying when it’s simply part of the same process we all go through. Everybody screws up sometimes, don’t panic or encourage others to panic over it.
