wayfaring temple

So the posts on this blog has inspired me and some of my friends to try PDH and I brewed up a Wayfaring Temple deck that I'm really excited to start buying. I did notice while deck building that there doesn't seem to be a ton of good Mana rocks in common. Are there any must haves for Mana ramp/fixing in PDH or is the format slow enough to not need them?

There is plenty of mana ramp/fixing at common, and the best you’re going to get is in Green. You made a good choice with Wayfaring Temple.

Magiccards.info search query. Cards with “add to your mana pool”.

Mini art appreciation post and shoutout to MTG artist Pete Mohrbacher, who is ending his tenure with the game as of next set, but posted on Reddit today that the first painting in this series (for Titan of Erebos, out in MTG Origins) was the last piece he drew that he was proud of. Art is as follows:

Titan of Erebos (Origins)
Animar, Soul of Elements (Commander)
Brimaz, King of Oreskos (Born of the Gods)
Dreg Mangler (Return to Ravnica)
Erebos, God of the Dead (Theros)
Island (M13?)
Sire of Insanity (Dragon’s Maze. This one’s my personal favorite because it’s based off Goya’s Saturn Devouring His Son)
Wayfaring Temple (Return to Ravnica)
Nissa, Worldwaker (M15. Another favorite because her character in this art was based on Yolandi Visser)

You’ve made some great cards, Pete. Thanks for everything
