Taking a break from inktober to share this piece with you guys. It was soo much fun to do, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s a little different from my usual way of doing things, but I think it’s the next step in my style’s development, and I like where it’s heading
Yesterday I took myself on a trip to the National Gallery. I had it in my head that I’d go and sketch from the paintings but I chickened out. So, I made these sketches from my photographs when I got home. It was just too busy there and I hate doing anything that might make me stand out in those situations. I really hope I get over that because I love the idea of going out on drawing trips!
The Purple Dragon 2 oz Vodka 1 ½ oz Cranberry Juice ½ oz Blue Curaçao ½ oz Simple Syrup 1 ½ oz 7-up/Sprite Mix Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Blue Curaçao, and Simple Syrup. Shake it like a polaroid picture. Add 7-up. Drink. Make again. Drink again. Get drunk. Enjoy.
This was a commission of the lovely Kitty Pryde. I didn’t have much for instructions beyond to make a sexy picture of her and to use Jenna Coleman as a facial reference, so I decided to go with the old ‘playing in a champagne glass’ theme. The commissioner liked it enough that it looks like it might become a mini-series. Also I made a drink to go with it, seen above. Named after Lockheed.
