water flag

Please fire me. I worked as a lifeguard at a water park and a mom came up to me and asked me to tell her weeping, hysterical child that there are no jellyfish in the wave pool.

And a man had his infant child 4 feet deep in the wave pool, I whistled at him and told him all guests under 48 inches must have a life jacket on. He yells back, “I’m in the Coast Guard, I am her life jacket!”

“In a world without gold, we might have been heroes!”

From a friend on FB:

My daughter, who like many in the LGBTQIA community struggles with her mental health, drew this symbol and wrote the accompanying description. She says anyone is free to share the image.

This symbol is for anyone of the LGBTQIA+ community who deals with any kind of mental health issue or issues that has a negative effect on their life. The black squiggley wave represents the mental problem. It is shady and broken up to show the struggle caused by mental health issues. The pride colors are solid to show that the person is strong, even if they do not appear to be so. Strength does not only mean how hard they fight the mental issue, but that they continue to live and function and have a good life, despite extra difficulties. Someone may not even fight a mental problem, but still be strong simply to keep going and not give up. The difference between the strength of the colors also symbolizes the support and love and bonds within the LGBTQIA+ community.

This beautiful piece of art comes from a young transgender woman who, aside from the watermark, is fine with remaining anon. She’s given permission for people to share and use it.

I’m in love with it.

ETA: If anyone wants to share compliments or anything with the artist in the tags, I’ll make sure to pass them along.

Hi! I was wondering if you could make a town flag for the town of Epiphany, with, like, green leaves drifting to the ground or something? I don't really know, you can do pretty much whatever you want with this one, since Epiphany means "a revelation/great idea." :')

Ahh~ it sounds like a lovely town! I hope you don’t mind I went with rippling water instead of the ground- I thought it might fit your town’s theme better.

~ As always, please let me know if you’d like any changes or if it wasn’t quite what you wanted! ~
