watch it julia!!!

sageayana said: All the franchises mix together at the M@sters of Idol World lives, although there hasn’t been one since SideM began getting voiced. If you’ve ever wanted to hear Miria sing Arcadia or Nao(ML) and Anzu sing Anzu no Uta together you should think about looking into those concerts

;ALKSDJF YOU’RE RIGHT. I was so engrossed in thinking about the 2D world that I completely forgot about the live concerts. Yes, the M@STERS OF IDOL WORLD lives are amazing. Absolutely would recommend to watch. (Julia and Riina singing Twilight Sky… ;___; And Kirari singing Super Lover with Nao (ML) was really interesting!)

So I’ve been thinking about this a lot since the last ‘The TAZ Zone’ where Griffin was saying that he was so sure Magnus was going to take the chalice in 11th Hour and he had a whole thing planned for it.

I think Magnus would have taken it. If not taken it, I think he would’ve had a lot harder time deciding whether he wanted to go back and fix things with Julia and Raven’s Roost. Julia was the single most important thing in Magnus’ life (post Stolen Century) and I think he would’ve 100% taken the cup to at least try and make things right.

But I think the thing that stopped him was Lucas Miller. Magnus was very upset with Lucas for what he did in the Crystal Kingdom Arc and when he was questioning him towards the end Lucas said something along the lines of “Wouldn’t you do anything to save the one person who meant the most to you?” And I think Magnus saw the love that Lucas had for his mother and while different, the drive and passion behind what Lucas had done for Maureen probably rivaled what Magnus felt watching his last moments with Julia with June in the White Space. And I think if Magnus hadn’t seen the problems that came with someone who couldn’t let go of the past, who couldn’t accept that their loved one was gone, he would’ve taken the cup. But having witnessed the tragedy of Lucas and Maureen, he knew that while he’d always love and miss Julia, he had to let her stay in the past.

one of my favorite running gags in leverage is Sophie’s Terrible Acting and on rewatching the stork job, it’s really funny. because it’s the first time it’s come up since the nigerian job, and the ot3 are watching from the background as nate tries to talk to sophie about it and they all pace/bow their heads/hold hands in a questioning pose when nate completely folds

which is especially funny because they’ve been working together for at least six jobs by this point, trusting sophie to be their grifter because they’ve seen how good she is, but in that moment they’re all flashing back to COME YOU SPIRITS THAT TEND ON MORTAL THOUGHTS, UNSEX ME HERE!

don’t mind me, I’m just getting all teary-eyed over sesame street describing an Autistic girl’s stimming as “a great way to play” ;~;

all the clips I’ve watched of Julia so far are so cute, I like them much better than the book. I really hope they keep improving like this.

Anon who sent the Batman Musical ask! That was amazing! I laughed so much, and now I can just picture Jason singing/humming the songs on patrol and getting Steph to join in with him

  • there was a nightwing song. it referenced nightwing’s butt at least five times; three of them were puns. dick loves it. he sings it all the time, completely without shame.
    • damian is disgusted
    • why is grayson Like This
  • there was a robin song which was quite good
  • there was also a robin and batgirl song
    • jason and steph take to singing that one if they go on patrol together (or sometimes steph and cass sing it together)
    • there’s a line that goes something like “robin and batgirl here to stop this crime!!” which is perfect for jason and steph and it’s the main thing that they sing to announce their presence to the baddies
    • the best part is that they can switch out red hood and spoiler with it if they want (bc same syllable count), or they can keep it as is because they’re robin and batgirl, or steph can lay claim to robin and jason sings batgirl’s part while they’re kicking ass
    • it’s great
  • the best of adam west batman was there in the musical. and by that i mean there was a whole bunch of “gee willikers batman!” and “holy _____, batman!!”
    • did a tiny dick grayson actually say these things when he was robin? does gotham have an incredibly long memory when it comes to its vigilantes? or did the creators of the musical make it up wholesale as an added bit of humor
    • probably a bit of both honestly
    • the many and varied signs everywhere around the stage are just to be funny, though
  • the family ends up in a kind of competition to see how many quotes they can slip in before bruce notices and makes them stop
    • this game is different from the quote-off/singing competition that they also start to regularly involve themselves in with the rest of their siblings. in this game you get points for how many/most obvious/most obscure quotes/if you can make song lyrics sound like regular speech when talking to batman
    • bruce knows way too many song lyrics/quotes from this musical now
    • he’s so tired
  • a few weeks after the musical premiered, a video shows up on the internet, completely untraceable in the way that means oracle was involved somehow.
    • in it, the person holding the camera is sneaking up on nightwing and batman. once you get close enough to hear them, it’s easy to see that nightwing is just quoting bits and pieces of the batman musical to batman’s face
    • finally, nightwing says a quote that, in the musical, has a direct response from batman. nightwing looks like he’s gearing up to finish the line and then carry on, but batman turns to him and–
    • he says the next line
    • nightwing nearly falls off the roof
    • “oh shit,” whoever’s holding the camera says, laughing so hard that they fumble their phone and the picture goes shaky
    • by the time it’s steady again, batman has turned to Look at the person with the camera
    • “hood, don’t even think about–” he starts
    • “too late!” red hood says, still laughing, and he takes off running.
    • the last thing that the viewers can see is a glimpse of the night sky and a vigilante over hood’s shoulder as batman follows him

Two episodes in the new Anne with an E series and I already cried like ten times, had two hearatacks, five heartbreaks and laught with tears on my eyes. Good television. This series might be my favorite adaptaion of the book so far.

I expecially loved that they spend two whole episodes (2 hours and 15 min) to build up  Cuthbert - Shirley relationship and dynamic and actually let Anne be mad for both of them for false accusation and treating her like she’s some good, that can be returned to the shop if they don’t like it.

Also cudos for Anne’s flashbacks from her abusive past. It’s painful to watch, but it adds up so much to her story and yet still don’t change her character at all.

And shout out to the actress who plays Anne. Damn, that girl is so good.

My thoughts on Beauty and the Beast (2017)

• Luke Evans’ Gaston is my sexuality
• LOVE the new bimbettes and the middle bimbette with the strong eyebrow game is #me
• I’ve always felt that the beast needs a song, even if I’m iffy about the placement of it
• also why did “come what may” feel like a nod to moulin rouge (I hope it was)
• learning about belle’s mom was kind of anticlimactic but still I cried
• why did Dan Stevens look so hot in the beginning???? Also in that ponytail
• they did SUCH a great job addressing the major plot holes of the original (why the whole castle was cursed, why none of the village knew, the beast’s age, etc)
• I still feel that they shouldn’t have auto tuned Emma’s voice, though it wasn’t as bad as I had feared
• Lefou’s character development is giving me life (his line in “kill the beast” ???? 🔥🔥🔥)
• the parallel of “now i’m wiser but unsure” and “and now he’s dear and so unsure” had my heart grow three sizes
• I was so glad that Belle didn’t change her dress before going to save her dad bc I’ve always thought it was a waste of her time
• I loved the choreography for the ballroom scene!!! It was a perfect mix of the beast rediscovering dancing, the sweetness of how a little girl would dance (because honestly I’m sure Belle has only ever danced with her own father), and the iconic romantic moment that it should be for the story

Kady, kind of, is a version of Julia had Julia had none of her advantages. Even though Julia comes from a family of emotional neglect, like we find out in season 1, Kady comes from a family of genuine, terrifying neglect and abuse. For Kady, magic was this necessary tool to acquire to survive. For Julia, it was this childhood interest that then suddenly became a reality that she wanted but couldn’t get in the way she wanted. That’s the longest way I could put it - that they are mirror images of one another.

Watching Harry through ig videos when it was 5 am in the UK is already a pretty big deal! But like.... He didn't even have to comment you know? He (and Louis cause we all know Louis was watching as well) could have watched in peace that no one would know. But he commented... He didn't have to but by commenting he let everyone know they were watching.
