Okay, okay I know this is long over due and I’m sorry. At first it was cause of school, but then I started binge watching on Netflix all day yesterday, but this is extra long and cute and angsty. Keep in mind that half of this was written at two in the morning after I was done crying from finishing the last episode of 13 reasons why. (Yall needa go watch that shit) I hope you guys enjoy the chapter, y'all know I need 100 notes for part 9 and leave feedback💕
One more thing…Ik it probably doesn’t make sense but I’m gonna pretend like this takes place after like a month from the last time they met.
**WARNING**: Nothing really, just a make out and a small mention of masturbation.
“Cal, can you not.” You snorted as he tried to squeeze into the tight fitting top you picked out not too long ago.
“I can get in it, I swear.” He grunted while attempting to get the small shirt over his shoulder.
He had took you shopping once again and as always he came into the dressing room with you. This particular time, however, Calum got so bored he decided to try on clothes as well. You didn’t have a problem with that, but he could at least try on something in his size.
“You’re gonna rip it.” You laughed.“ Then you’ll have to buy it just to throw away.”
“I’m going to get in this shirt, Y/N.”
“Oh my God.” You began to laugh harder at his determination, deciding to try on another article of clothing for your sake.“ I think these shorts are gonna make my ass pop.”
“It already pops, Y/N. Your ass is fucking perfect.” He absentmindedly complimented you.
“Take off the shi-”
“I got it!” He yelled once he finally got the top onto his body, throwing his hands up in the air in excitement.
It was quiet as you both heard the sound of fabric tearing. You placed your hand over your mouth to stifle your laughter and Calum’s cheeks slowly flushed pink.
He was so scared, every wall around him was closing in. This wasn’t part of the story, this wasn’t part of his narrative, it was never supposed to be him on trial, so why was he sitting in the empty sheriffs office, evidence surrounding him?
He couldn’t breathe, where was his dad? He needed to talk to him, needed to see him, someone had to tell him it was all okay,Tell him He was gonna be okay.
Suddenly the door slammed open, standing up ready to calm his father down and stop the unavoidable fight, he drew his eyes to the door.
His heart fell to his stomach when he caught the bright green eyes staring back at him, oh god.
“Juggie.” She whispered, moving quickly to wrap her arms around him. He melted into the embrace, burying his face into her hair and finally letting the anxiety ridden tears fall from his eyes
“I didn’t do it Betty, I didn’t do it” he mumbled, squeezing her into his chest.
“I know you didn’t, I know that. No one thinks you did.” She whispered reassuringly, rubbing his back.
After what felt like hours he pulled away and took his seat across from her
“I didn’t do this.” He said shakily.
She shook her head, staring at him confused her warm eyes boring into him “I know that juggie.”
He went on to the explain what Sheriff Keller had told him and she shook her head.
“I won’t let them do this to you. I’m going to get you out of this.” She was so determined, so fiercely passionate about protecting him, he genuinely felt some of that worry wash away covered by the feeling of her compassion and nurturing affection.
She squeezed his hand and he squeezed back.
Suddenly sheriff Keller walked into the room
“The charges are dropped, thanks to your alibi. You’re free to go, don’t leave town though, I’ve got my eye on you.” Jughead shot him an annoyed eye roll as he gathered his things, he was fine with letting that comment drop. Betty on the other hand? Not so much.
“And what is that supposed to mean sheriff? Jugheads accusations have been excused, I see no reason as to why you would need to “keep an eye on him” not only is that badgering it’s also harassment, you may need to watch yourself sheriff all the extra attention you’ve been putting in the wrong suspects, may lead higher authorities right.to.you.“ She flicked her ponytail and wrapped her hands around jugheads arm, leading him outside to the Andrews.
Even with all the stress and pressure he was feeling, he couldn’t stifle his smile at her defending him. She was really something else.
He was still a bundle of nerves, but with Betty on his arm and his best friend leading the way. He knew he was going to be okay. That was until he spotted the familiar flannel wearing face of his father.
